What it is about:

Once Upon A Time…

There was a red-haired sorcerer who lived alone in a high tower, and a blond prince who lived in a palace full of people. And they were both of them desperately lonely.

The Kingdoms of Empyrion and the Sorcerers of Apollyon have hated each other for hundreds of years, ever since the Great War. They do not interact, other than to occasionally try to kill one another. And they certainly do not make friends.

Crow is an exhausted sorcerer who just wants everyone to leave him the hell alone: for the Sorcerer’s Council to stop harassing him to live up to his potential, and for wannabe Empyrion Heroes to stop attacking his tower to try and kill him. Until one day when he meets Prince Azra of the High Fells, who doesn’t behave anything like he’s supposed to…

Part fairy tale, part fantasy, all love story. There’s magic, and grand romantic gestures, and Heroes and a handsome Prince, and a Villain. There are even some wild heroics, though not necessarily from who you would expect. At its core it’s simply about two (relatively) sane people living in a mad world who find each other.

What i love about it:

🫅🏼 I mean - fairytales? And a lot of them? I found it very nice to guess all the tales when stumbling upon a hint. Nice touch: in the epilogue there is a list of all the fairytales which have kind of flown into this fanfic and i am quite proud that i only missed 1 i actually know (and of course those i dont know).

👑 This story is RICH - and i mean really rich. It goes into details over everything and sometimes it reminded me of books written bei Hermann Hesse because of all the little things that kept coming and being mentioned. On my e-reader it was 566 pages! And yes, it took them about 200 pages for their first kiss 😅 That said, its always drawing a picture and reading the story is kind of seeing in your imagination. Obviously nothing is ineffable for @ineffablepenguin 😉

💪 The action scenes: oh my, its like a Schwarzenegger-movie, you cant stop reading, its fast, its furiuos ... oh, thats another movie, ngk.

🩷 The character development: both of our beloved angels start out being insecure of their roles, their place and their worth. But - this is the first fanfic i ever read, where both of them get to be BAMF !!!!

🩷 The plot: i love being suprised - i mean we do know a lot already, diving into a GO-fanfic with the tag "happy ending", right? So there were some really interesting turns and sometimes i wondered "ok, just how will this play out? How will the author get to unknot THIS?" And i have to admit, sometimes i really didn't see it coming. Very nice!

🩷 The healing: i dont know if it was on purpose or the author just felt like our ineffables needed to hear and think stuff, but actually the way their characters develop and how they help each other with it, what they are thinking etc ... reminded me a lot of trauma-therapy. So as one of those few (ähem) people who really spiraled after the big 15 of S2, this was such a nice feeling.

💫 the epilogue - this story doesnt end at happily ever after. Instead we get to know, how they make a living for themselves and sneak a little into their daily lifes. I truly appreciate that, its a nice way of comforting the Reader out of the story.

Everytime I point out that Dean Winchester is autistic, people get mad or look at me like I’ve spontaneously grown a second head, as if this man’s existence isn’t just checking off boxes for the diagnostic criteria

Special interests: westerns, cars, mechanical engineering stuff in general, 1960’s & 70’s music - specifically classic rock, monsters. You’re gonna look me in the eyes and tell me that it’s totally normal for someone who was born in 1979 to have borderline encyclopedic knowledge of two decades of music????? Hundreds of years of monster lore??? — for fuck’s sake, he had a train thing when he was little!!!! Those are special interests!!!!

Restricted diet: it’s mostly for Jokes but dean genuinely doesn’t eat much beyond burgers, diner food and pie.

Dean didn’t speak for months after Mary died and there’s 15 years of canon evidence where he loses his voice during moments of Big Emotions!!! He’s going nonverbal!!!!!!!

Trouble with social cues: literally look at every single instance of Dean trying to interact with strangers, ESPECIALLY in the early seasons. He’s not playing dumb, he just doesn’t get it. Also, watch any scene of this man TRYING to flirt and tell me that he’s any good at it. You know why? That bitch is mimicking the fucking movies and tv shows he grew up watching.

Sensory processing disorder: DO YOU THINK HE WEARS 87 LAYERS FOR FUN???? FOR FASHION????? WHAT DID YOU THINK ALL THE FLANNELS WERE ABOUT. THEY’RE SOFT. Also think about how much he liked the nightgown and the robe. ALSO, ALSO: school!!! It’s loud, it’s smelly, it’s dirty (his germ thing), the lights are too bright, there’s too much sensory input happening at one time. Between being so overwhelmed in school that he couldn’t focus and John pulling him left & right for cases and Sam, no wonder dean dropped out :(

14.04. The comic book episode is an ENTIRE episode about dean and his special interests!!!!!! And his social anxiety, hiding out in his room at the beginning of the episode because of all the strangers in his home 😤

As a fellow AuDHD bitch, the most AuDHD thing Dean has ever said was “we know a little about a lot of things. Just enough to make us dangerous.” Also: “I got no idea. But what I do have is a GED and a give ‘em hell attitude, and I’ll figure it out.”

Like I could dive into the nuances of all of these and explain them in great detail and find textual evidence for basically everything, but it’s too early in the morning for that much work when I know that I’m right. My amazing football girl

Gavi was at training today, like usually. This few hours were your slowest and most boring hours of your life. But lucky you, you always can spend some time playing games on his Play Station, cleaning the house or reading some book. But now you really don't have the mood for any of them.

Since Gavi is a football player, he always have at least one ball around the house and luckyly one was in front of your eyes in the yard. You decided to kick it a bit. You never actually told Gavi that you can play football pretty well. First you just did some penalty without anybody. Well, you couldn't really call it penalty. You just shot the ball into the net and thats all. You kept doing it for a few minutes and then you got bored of it. Then you decided to do some free style since you were really good at it. You practiced those tricks so many times. You didn't give up until they weren't perfect.

Now you had been playing with the ball now for hours. Gavi eventually got home.

"Princesa I'm home!" he shouted, went to the bathroom and tossed his training clothes to the basket. "Princesa, where are you?" he asked since you didn't answer him. He went to the living room and saw you through the opened door. He was amazed. He never knew you can do those thing with a ball. He went to the door and watched you with opened mouth for 15 minutes. "Why didn't you tell me you actually good at football?" he asked, scaring the hell out of you.

"Pablo!" you turned around and accidentaly kicked the ball into the pool. "When did you got home?" you asked with a red face. You were kinda embarrassed because he saw you.

"About 20 minutes." he said. "But why didn't you tell me this before? You're playing so well with the ball. Im amazed princesa." he smiled and kiss your lips while you just blushed even more.

"I don't know. I thought it's not a big deal so I didn't tell you. It's not that important." you said and walked to the pool to get the ball out.

"No princesa, it's important. I can tell everyone that I have the most beautiful and talented girl. You're amazing. I wanna see you play more." he helped you.

"If I'm talented with some tricks then what are you?" you laughed how much of a fan he became of you.

"The next goat." he laughed too.

"Well, I'm not doubting that." you finally get the ball out.

"What?"

"What?" you asked back. He just hugged you.

"Do you know how much this means to me? he asked and hugged you more tight. You started to caress his back. "But know I have to play with my amazing girl."

"Amor, you just had a 4 hours training and now you want to play again?" you pulled away from the hug.

"Yes, princesa. I wanna see how do you play against me." he smiled knowing that it will be the cutest thing he will ever see. "So first, just try to get the ball." he said.

"Well, I might not be able to do that but I will try." you said trying to take the ball away from Gavi and you actually did it.

"Amor, I did it!" you screamed and put your hands up to celebrate. He looked at you like he never saw a human in his entire life. "What's wrong?"

"Princesa." he started to walk towards you. He cupped your face in his hands. "You're amazing. Like, you're the most amazing girl I can ever have. You're so loving, caring and even good at football." he kissed your lips.

"Stop amor." you giggled. "I'm not that amazing."

"Yes, you are!" he said and kissed your lips again. "Don't you dare to say this again. You're the best princesa. Now I can even play football with you. It's just so exciting. Playing football with the love of my life is the best thing." he said with a big smile on his face but his stomach interupted the speech.

"Someone is hungry." you laughed. "Come on, already made food for you." you and Gavi went to the kitchen and started to eat.

"And even you're food is amazing." he said with food in his mouth. "I'm so lucky that I have you." you just smiled at him because he looked so cute while he was talking to you with his mouth filled with food. Obviously he was on his phone the moment, like always.

"Hey! Why did you change me name on Messenger to "My amazing football girl?" you asked. You literally took it personal.

"Because you're my amazing football girl." he smiled at you.

"No! Change it back to "Princesa"." you asked him to do this but he just simply said a "no". You took his phone out of his hands to change your name back to "Princesa".

"There we go!" you said giving back his phone.

"Okay fine." he said with a pout on his face. You kissed his cheek and took your plate to the sink.

A few days later

"Princesa, can you call me on my phone? I can't find it." he asked you still searching for his phone. You called him and you heard the ringtone and you went to it's way. You find it in the basket in the bathroom.

"Amor I found it!" you shouted and you saw your name on his contacts. "Amor why is my name "My amazing football girl"?" he just laughed. Yeah... he changed your name in his contacts after you didn't let him change your name in Messenger.

LEO’S LEG

it’s actually a mix of both! leo kept pressuring his knee and over the years it gradually became worse — since he kept pushing his knee beyond it’s limits it keeps getting re-injured. the final straw was him snapping his knee again (completely this time) during a nasty fight and had to chop it off. the phantom pains he gets from his missing limb is… horrible, to say the least.

(BUT THAT FIRST SCENARIO YOU MENTIONED WOULD BE SO FUNNY THOUGH. imagine leo waking up one day and going, “oh wow. this knee injury hurts really bad, maybe i should chop it off. lol im actually gonna do it.” cue him barging into donnies lab like “DONNIE. I DEMAND YOU CUT MY LEG OFF” “WHAT?!” “CUT MY LEG OFF IT HURTS” “OF COURSE IT HURTS WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO KEEPS INSISTING THAT YOU SHOULD ‘TRAIN’ IT.” “yeah but i think my blood circulation isnt working look my leg is pale” “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK LEO” and boom. leg no more.)

AGES

they should be around their late 20s in this au, i hc that for every season of the show they age one year. so at the start they were like 15, and the show had 5 seasons (granted s5 was a bit messy and was full of aus and past flashbacks, but there was that demodragon arc and stuff) so they would be 20 at the end of the show. specifically they’re like 28 :) they are kinda old but hey at least they don’t have to pay taxes in the sewers…

HEIGHT PROBLEMS

oh god, when raph suddenly had a growth spurt it was horrible for leo. he was relentlessly being teased every single day and raph would NOT let off. and then when MIKEY hit being 1cm taller than leo, the teasing fucking doubled and he was downright miserable. they kept growing while leo was barely getting any height. he’s still their sensei though — and he makes them do extra training as punishment for the relentless teasing :) donnie doesn’t join in on the teasing (sometimes he does) but he does snicker when raph and mikey make jokes about leo’s height. it’s funnier for him because he’s been the tallest out of all of them since day one.

MORE ABOUT DONNIE

and yessss i loved designing donnie! since he was tall everything about his design had to compensate for his height so i figured long mask tails and a long lab coat would do the trick. his brothers were concerned over him tripping on his mask tails but he hasn’t, not even ONCE. he is one graceful, careful boy. he braids it or ties it into a bow whenever he does lab work so it doesn’t accidentally slip into one of his chemicals somehow. sometimes he lets mikey do it for him :)

I come forth with some fluffy headcannons this time around.

Groose has already planned Sky and Sun's wedding without either of them realizing. The entirety of Skyloft is currently holding their breath for when Sky proposes, some even are holding bets for when he does.

Time cries every single time a baby animal is born on the farm. No matter how many times he has seen it before, he is a mess of sobs as he lovingly praises the mama and holds himself back from cuddling the newborn baby. If Malon seen him cuddling Epona and the mare she had, she never mentioned it.

Warriors and Artemis love each other so much that they are oblivious to the other. It not even funny, and Impa is forced to witness them be idiots all the time. Somebody save that poor woman.

Twilight goes to Wind for pointers on dealing with a little sister since at this point the daughter Uli and Rusl had would be 4. He just wants to be a good big brother.

Wind collects all kinds of trinkets and collectibles to give to Aryll and Grandma. His bag is just full of them.

The fight Hyrule and Legend had when they first met (the one Jojo talked about) Hyrule won.

Four likes watching the sunrise, so he often takes last watch to do so.

- Time is SUCH an emotional guy when it comes to baby animals, I can see him carrying around little guys because he loves them so much (and he definitely gets super sad when he can no longer physically carry them)

- Poor Impa is probably sitting there ripping her hair out, those two are idiots 😭

- THATS SO CUTE, i imagine Twilight is one of the best at handling kids, he’s already a big brother to like all of the village kids, but the idea of him asking Wind for pointers is so cute

- Wind and Legend are the biggest trinket collectors, they just have HOARDS of trinkets

- Oh Hyrule definitely won that. To me, Hyrule looks like a thin 15 year old, but he’s actually 18 and has quite a bit of muscle hiding where you can’t see it because his clothes are a bit baggy on him at first (he definitely fills out more during the journey and grows into them), making him look much smaller than he is. So when Legend runs into what he perceives as a child who looks small, he underestimates him and gets his ass handed to him. Hyrule is deceptively strong, him and Wars both, they don’t look it, but they’re just as strong as the others, and the other members of the group don’t doubt their strength at all once they actually get to know them

- I can see Four battling people for that last watch so he can watch the sunrise, and I can see some of the others joining him sometimes :)

hello doctor who fandom. Im here to throw out my opinions in a vibey way, just to get it over with. I may literally never talk about doctor who on this acc ever again, but i figure i may as well lay out all my nuwho opinions right now for anyone who wants to vibe or to know who will hate my opinions so i can get a nord vpn sponsorship and hide my ip address.

so heres where im at.

9: my all time favourite, wrote well- if not a bit cheesy- and acted very well. Do i think anyone actually skips nine? Not really. Do i feel like defending him on my life from the evil tenners? Nope. I think hes the best, but its not like hes under-rated, people just like to make up conflicts for the fun of it. Its the internet, its what we do. Favourite episode is empty child or boom town.

10: hes fine! I liked him well enough. Good actor, great establishing episode, but i dont feel too strongly about him. Hes pretty neat but i think there wasnt a lot of creativity? Like fun monsters, but we didnt get a lot of the real timey wimey shit we get to see later that i think 10 could have acted very well. Favourite ep is 42. Sorry weeping angels, your like 3 or 4th tho!!!

11. i actually really like him. I think later season stuff was fantastic but there was a dip in my enjoyment around lets kill hitler. Found him to be a lot more dynamic than 10 or really 9 in his personality. Hard to characterise, which is great when your talking about basically a god. Favourite episode isssssssssssss the impossible astronaut? Maybe the lodger actually. I dont like james cordon, but i do like the concept.

12: beautiful wonderful old man. Admittedly, watching his season was a blur, right before i started falling off the who train for a bit, but i do know i fucking love him. Uh, i think i remember liking knock knock. Im due for a rewatch.

13: i promise im coming back to it. I fucking love jodie but the end of 12 is just when i started struggling to watch doctor who (dealt with heart issues and a car accident and just could not divide more attention to a tv show) but im coming in with optimism. I know a lot of people thing her season was shitty, i'll probably think the same, but by god im going to try and love it! Also shes hot /hj

15: oh boy. Im really trying to like it. I think its good tv! I like what its about. But i just dont think it feels like doctor who. I dont really care for talking about ai/media bad (even though the actual theme of that episode is racism that is still part of it, literally dont come for me lol i think the racism part of it is very well wrote) or economy failing/bad in my show about a time alien and their human friend against the world. Not that its bad, but its just not for me. So far ive liked boom or 73 yards the most.

and yeah, those are P much my thoughts. Feel free to debate with me. Dont argue- because thats stupid- but debating is fine! I'd love for somebody to show their passion and make me rethink. Most of this posts purpose is to encourage civil discussion.

Oh my goodness, thank you for that post. I was losing my mind seeing the excuses people were cooking up. Now they're all about the writing being better and loving the discussion, like (a) the writing is just vagueries that never explain or resolve anything and it's hit upon multiple damaging stereotypes on adoption and race because there's no black writers or adoptees at the helm, not to mention how many times RTD has already released those weird behind the scenes videos explaining things which is just embarrassing and weirdly egotistic, (b) it's not great that there's so much discussion because RTD is using ~~magic~~ as a handwave explanation or that people lack the awareness to acknowledge the lack of discussion before was because they bullied anyone remotely interesting in actually engaging with Thirteen's series of the show and aggressively took over discussions and filled them with their shittakes.

Seems they still have a lot of shittakes to be honest.

All the 'Sins' they claimed made Chibs a terrible writer... plot holes, leaving things ambiguous, too much exposition, things not making sense, bad representation... if these are the things that make a writer bad then how is RTD a master writer because every episode so far has had these things along with stereotyping issues. I'm sorry but you can't just say 'oh magic, that makes those things ok' thats hypocritical because if Chibs claimed 'magic' they would have ripped him to shreds for that.

Could you imagine if Chibs made an episode with a bunch of set up and no answers that both created a time paradox at the end and essentially didn't happen to the character in the end rendering it unimportant to the characters and show? How what would have gone down? Could you imagine is 73 Yards had Chibs name on it instead of RTDs? Below were just some of the questions I had off the top of my head. This episode is being hail as one of the best in years... imagine if those same people had this many questions after a Chibs episode, the dude would have had to been put into the witness protection program.

I'm not claiming the episode is bad, I'm just highlighting the hypocrisy.

Who made the circle?

How did that person know about the future to make the circle? 

Did they know that the Doc and Ruby were going to land there and so deliberately put it there because why was in that location?

Why was there a circle in 2024? (When Mad Jack is PM 22 years later)

Why was it 73 yards? 

Where did the Doctor go? All of them not just 15 because they are time travellers so all the other Doctors also existed through those years, so why didn’t they show up/do anything, or did they all just disappear leaving all their companions wherever they were? 

Why were the people at the pub so horrible?

Why were there 2 older women who are supposedly meant to be Ruby played by different actresses, because that makes you wonder is it actually Ruby who's been 73 yards away?

Why if it is older Ruby did she scare everyone off? Like why did she want herself to be alone, why did the younger version of her have to be alone and abandoned by everyone what purpose does it serve? 

How did older Ruby (73 yards version) manage to get closer than 73 yards when older Ruby (in her bed) was dying (I’m assuming she was dying)?

Was older supposed older Ruby gesturing to her the same message throughout the years after the Doctor disappeared that she was telling to tell younger Ruby to tell the Doc not step on the circle so Ruby would understand it to close what I’m assuming is a time loop? I can't be sure were weren't told it was a time loop and that would be sci-fi not folklore magic.

Was stopping the nuclear bombing the purpose of all this because the woman remained 73 yards away for the next 40 years after that why? To tell Younger Ruby to tell the Doctor not to stand on the circle so she wouldn’t live through all that and so wouldn’t stop the nuclear bomb stuff?

How did supposed older ruby get telepathy to say don’t step on the circle?

Doesn’t stopping the Doctor from stepping on the circle create a time paradox, because if he doesn’t step on it Ruby doesn’t have that experience and so she never tells him not to step on it?

What is the lady saying to everyone to scare them off? And it must be some kind of magic she’s doing because a mother isn’t just going to abandon their child so how did supposed older Ruby acquire the magic to do that?

Also how did she time travel back to stand on the hill just to give her younger self a telepathic message?

Since she doesn’t live that life that means she never stops the Nuclear bomb PM so theres really no point to having gone through all that, since we’re getting Nuked by him now because Ruby doesn’t live that life.

Why did Ruby’s grandmother Cherry never talk to her again? that woman seems like she would have slapped Carla for kicking Ruby out of their lives considering she didn’t talk to the lady so wouldn’t have been affected by her.

Where were all Ruby’s friends from the first episode?

Ruby knew everything started with the circle, why did she never go back to Wales and find people who specialised in folklore stuff and seek their help? If goblins exist, if curses exist then you can assume witches or magic people do why wouldn’t you try and find them?

I haven’t watched unleashed but supposedly RTD says Ruby had to pay a penance and do good, I.e stopping Nuclear bomb PM I guess for the Doc standing on the circle… Why would Ruby have to pay a life penance for the Doc stepping on the circle? You shouldn’t go to jail for someone else’s crime. Also he disappears, is that his penance and hers is living that life for reading the paper? who knows?

And a real world question since you only have 8 episodes why would you spend one where you have to spend the whole episode with the companion (because Ncuti was still tied up with Sex Ed) to create an episode that doesn’t actually effected the companion at all because it seems shes forgotten the whole thing at the end. Make an episode that dives deeper into the companions character that we dont usually get because we dont normally get a whole episode with just them, she should have come out of this episode changed somewhat for the better. 

If this episode was to show her abandonment issues… the girl was left on a church door step, and the Doc said she couldn't see her biological mum from that night so we already know she's going to have abandonment issues.

People are like oh its meant to be all open... this much should never be left open and if Chibs did it, it wouldn't be hailed a one of the best episodes in years it would be hailed as a failure of writing.

It's the hypocrisy that annoys me because yes you can still enjoy this episode not getting any of these answers, it can still be your fav of the season but you can't claim RTD is a good writer and Chibs a bad one when RTD in this episode alone went above and beyond in doing all the things you claimed made Chibs a bad writer. Honestly I hope Chibs from here on out has the best life because he deserves it after all the horrible things that have been thrown in his direction.

Explanation: I think whenever he saw you, he thought you were like very, very gorgeous. He thought you were one of those athletic girls that would maybe be a little bit too good for him, but he still wanted to shoot his shot anyway. He really loves the color of your hair and I think that he’s definitely written poetry about how pretty you are and then never actually showed it to you because he’s so embarrassed of it. he almost thinks that you’re a dream because of the fact that you can are so perfect for him. You’re really kind which he always adores as a quality in someone because the world is already so unfair and cruel. Why can’t there be more people like you and that’s something that I think he would wonder consistently you’re also very smart and get good grades so I think he would love talking about things with you and like study dates would absolutely be something very common in your relationship: and he would love discussing tests or whenever you guys go into English together I think that he would like discussing the novel that you both read and make jokes about it with you. I don’t know. I just really see you guys being kind of academically based, but nothing too extreme like you don’t always do study dates and things like that. I feel like he would also love photography and would love taking photos of landscapes because I think he finds landscapes and sunsets the most satisfying things to take photos of, but he would also take photos of you with a beautiful background. I don’t think he’s too much of a person himself. I think he plays football in his neighborhood and it was one of the things that could do altogether without fighting too hard, but he would absolutely come to all your games and support you. I think he relates to enjoying classics more than more modern books on another level. I think that you guys would definitely have so much fun reading them together and having your own little mini book club and then talking to each other about it afterwards, and I think you both go on deep rants about how much better the old classics are and how old writers used to have soul and modern writers just write whatever they want and I don’t know. I just think you guys would be really really passionate about that. I'm sure someone's asked you this before, but I'm thinking about writing another short fic and I'm wondering what your process is for plotting out your writing? every time I try and write something I always struggle with knowing how to move the plot toward what I want. I'm wondereng if you have a structure you tend to follow? if you've answered this before feel free to tag me in that post or something, but it's been so long since I've written something and I want a good structure to start from. and you're one of my favorite authors so I figured you'd be the best to ask

ideas take time. I'm sure there are some people out there who can get an idea and then spit out a short fic immediately after and it's great and wonderful and amazing but personally, I can't do that. I gotta sit on my ideas and build them over time. even the short ones!

it's just not enough for me to want to write something. i gotta be into it, and i'm not going to get into it unless i've spent considerable time thinking about it and developing it in my head. whether that means building up plot or backstory or just witty banter, I need to have a good feel for the story before i can start writing it. most of the story ideas i come up with never get written. i come up with an idea that i'm into but then i can't brainstorm enough meat in the middle so i either tuck it away in my notes to try and salvage later or i forget it and move on

And that's okay! not every idea is a winner. but it's not a waste of time to come up with them. several of my stories were once ideas that i scrapped because i couldn't motivate myself to get into them. Summer Rain was an original story idea i came up with when i was a teenager that i stuffed into the very back reaches of my brain until years later i got into Haikyuu and dragged it out to rethink it into a fic idea instead. GMB too. Hard Times was a fic I started years ago and then abandoned because I couldn't bring myself to think up what should happen after the initial deal is struck.

when i am actually plotting out a story, i don't really have a structure that i follow. I just think of individual things and jot them down in my notes, then change or add to them as i continue to brainstorm. I mainly focus on the BIG parts, working them out in my head until I like them, and then write the little in between stuff as I go. I am one of those writers that prefers to write by the seat of my pants and it's worked well for me so far but I understand how some people prefer not to do that.

none of my stories come quickly though. For many of the long ongoing ones, i'm coming up with new stuff all the time. I've got a big thing planned for ATEGT that i didn't think of until I was like 15 chapters into it. Summer Rain is nothing like what it was supposed to be when i first started it. Ideas are supposed to change and bulk up over time, so if you give them the time they need, you can think up some really fun, amazing stuff!

Don't rush. I understand the need to write something and post it as soon as possible. There are times that i wish i could just bust out a fast one shot and shoot it out there for people to read but it's just not my style. the people who can do that are awesome and i admire them! but it's just not for me. I need to bat an idea around in my brain for weeks, months, or even years before it becomes anything concrete.

other than that, i don't really have much useful advice for you in this area, unfortunately. Just... take notes. Write down your ideas as soon as you think of them. It's not a contract. You don't have to keep them. I'm constantly jotting an idea down in my notes and then deleting it later because i changed my mind. It's fine! Get loosey goosey with it! it's supposed to be fun! don't stress yourself out with trying to force something thats just not coming. let it come to you freely and you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you think of.

i've also found that it helps for me to write my thoughts down as if i'm telling the idea to a friend. Just working through the plot on the fly from beginning to end. "I've got this new idea. So there's Character A who works at the airport and what they does is this and that. then one day as theyre doing this or that, someone comes through the line and then this thing happens and Character A is like what the heck? but they're cool so they're like hey it's no big deal and Character B is cute so Character A is like hey let's see where this goes, so anyway Character A does this and Character B is like that and after that Character C who is Character A's ex and a total douchenozzle shows up and Character B is like yo i'm gonna help you out and so-" you know? Just... write it out. If you don't know what happens next, say you don't know what happens next. "Some other stuff will happen and their bond will grow you know, like fun romantic and silly things where they learn some stuff about each other but it's clear that Character B is keeping a secret but Character A doesn't want to push them into talking about it so they just pretend like they don't notice and-" etc etc.

Walk yourself through the stuff you HAVE figured out and you might think up some others on the fly too. It helps to see it in a linear fashion. "And then and then and then and then". At least it does for me. Especially since my brain doesn't like to be organized and constantly jumps around to whatever is most interesting at the moment. my friends have gotten long strings of messages from me over the years about story ideas i've come up with and just want to get out to see if they have any real potential. and those are the ones that usually do!

sorry i don't have any real tricks or tips about this stuff. i really am just a sloppy disorganized writer and people probably shouldn't try to emulate me because it's a mess over here, take my word for it 🤦‍♂️

anyway, i wish you luck! You can do it! just make sure you are having fun. your writing should be indulgent and exactly the kind of thing you would want to read. don't think about what other people would want. You're not making a product to sell, you're creating art 🌈

I never knew what to say about zsg because, well, there are a lot of aspects about it that don't align with my usual taste, despite its objective high quality. I mean, I'm a sfw fan 😂 That said, I'm always in awe that with your busy job, you continue to feed us so well. I'm busy too and only going yo get busier, so it's an inspiration, as longfics are what I prefer to write as well (though it doesn't come nearly as naturally, lol). And, you're right, zsg deserves to hear the love and admiration I have for it, so here goes.

To start with, the fic definitely has residence in my head, despite reading it nearly a year ago. There are scenes I still think about. I was talking about then with a friend just a week ago. Since I don't have time to read fic these days (cries), the most I can do is go back to old fics and reread my favorite scenes, and I do that with zsg, because there are such high quality, top tier moments. The "you're looking at me" "I never stopped" ??? That might be the pinnacle bkdk. I can't believe I've never seen that before in a bkdk fic? Or if it was there, it didn't hit as hard.

I know you're not so into the falling action part of a fic, but I loved the last bits with bkdk. When Baku realizes Deku's staying? Those moments they have of figuring things out are so good. And the provisional exam being inspired by Kamino was great. Really clever and a nice homage. And, of course, very nice that Deku could be a hero again.

Also, the Shinsou content is perf. I always love a side character having a big part in a ship fic and that shinbaku relationship is exactly why. (Similarly, I loved All Might and Aizawa helping Baku out.) That flashback scene where Deku calls Baku Kacchan? So good. And so smart as a flashback, because it would have been too much in the actual timeline, but where you fit it in the plot was really really clever. I also generally love a flashback--unpopular opinion, but I do.

Those were some of my biggest highlights! I hope my little disclaimer at the top isn't totally assholish 💀 I think you're just great and really admire your openness and the things you try to tackle in fics and your incredible output. I hope you're doing well <3

god. every time i think about their devotion to one another i want to combust into flames. think for much LESS we had to work with when we were writing a few years ago?! the way horikoshi has developed katsuki into this passionate, level-headed, absolutely hopelessly committed to Izuku - literally never saw it coming. these two deserve peace in the end. they deserve to live a life on their own terms. they just DESERVE TO BE HAPPYYYY

urgh its Izuku's DREAM and of course horikoshi is setting him up to lose one for all, i think thats been his intention from the beginning, but his life is only starting!!! he's only 15!!! you're telling me he's going to risk his life and lose the only thing he's ever wanted?! i wonder if horikoshi used all might in his big-old mecha suit as a hint that deku would still be a hero, just using assist devices. at least i hope. this kid deserves a chance. ”summer” part one of a two part series. Inspired by my childhood stay with my great grandmother “MutiMuti” who was one of the last of a noble line. She lived in a grand old house at the edge of an old forest dark and deep as any fairytale forest. And just as luring. By her house was a beautiful garden full of every flower and fruit and plant under the sun. And near the edge of the forest was an old wishing well. What better paradise is there than playing amidst poppies and daisys, making wishes on dandelions, chasing wild rabbits, and feasting on wild strawberries and black berries like a wild thing. Amidst those memories theres one thats faint yet distinct, of a black Frisian horse. And now all those years later i look back and wonder if i did in fact loose a part of myself there, perhaps some part of me wanders there still just at the edge of a dark deep wood , the part that never grows up. Where summer is eternal.

so theres 3 main characters but piper is basically the main main character so ill talk abt him some more and kane. also this takes place in the year 2021

Piper Harley is a 31 y/o gay and trans (clown) man. he grew up a normal life with the “cool” kind of parents. nothing bad happening to him unless it was the trouble he got himself into as an older teen. he met kane when both of them were 6-7 they instantly became inseparable best friends and they did everything together. in middle school when piper was 13-14 he met danny, a new kid (the same age as piper) that moved into the area and then in their freshman year they got together. when piper and kane were 17 one of kanes family member friends got his hands on one of the stones that could bring any demon to earth. piper than got this amazing plan that him and kane could start an assassination business together, if a sinned soul wanted to get the revenge they couldnt or if it was just another demon that had some troubles with a human. starting this business was difficult as it could get them in trouble with the higher ups of the world split because only succubus/incubus were the only demons allowed to go to earth. they decided to risk it anyways. surprisingly the business became such a success and theyre still able to keep it going 13 years later. when piper and danny were 22-23 they decided to have a child(surrogacy) that ended up being a son that they named alex. pipers 31 now and still lives an amazing life with a wonderful family

Kane Lee is a 31 y/o straight cis man(clown ogre with four arms). kane didnt grow up in the best household as he had a neglectful mother that needed someone to pay for the house, a step dad that only needed a place to live and a sister that ended up leaving as soon as she turned 15 when kane was 12. he didnt know much about his biological dad as his mother only told him “he didnt want anything to do with her” whenever he asked. kane and piper became friends when they were 6-7 yaddayadda yknow it. growing up kane didnt stay at his house all that often, he usually stayed at pipers house when he could which was basically everyday since kanes parents didnt even notice when he was gone. in his teen years he tried his best to make enough money by helping at pop-up markets so he could get a place of his own even despite pipers parents insisting he can stay as long as he needs to. he just didnt want to feel like he had to depend on someone else for a place to live. a few months after he turned 16 he ended up moving in with a family friend that he considered the closest thing he got to a dad, pasca(whos a clown illusionist, ill talk abt those in another post eventually). pasca was one of those magic dealers that dealt with magic and things you would consider fantasy, kane thought it was cool. kane ended up quitting his job at the pop-up markets and then gave part of the money he made to pasca to help fix up the small cabin they lived in. when kane turned 17 pasca ended up receiving one of the stones that brings demons to earth. kane showed it to piper and thats when piper got the idea for the assassination business. a few months later kane piper and danny went to an end of the school year party after their junior ended. kane ended up meeting a girl named ashley(clown). kane had seen her around school before but didnt think much of her but that night they ended up really getting to know eachother well. less than a year later ashley and kane ended up getting together. at 22 the assassination business with piper was becoming a hit and they ended up making enough money for kane to buy a home with ashley and piper putting his share aside for savings. at 31 kane lives a great life with ashley and their two pets(still havent decided what animals)

festival write-up! Notable artists I saw: Cobrah, Slayyyter, Domiziana, Eartheater, Isabella Lovestoryyyyyyy (and don't u ever forget it!)

Cobrah was insaneee I was in the front row and she is SUCH a performer. we showed up like 15 minutes before her set started and the stage hands were still setting up this ominous prop

before the concert i thought she might be the type not to talk at all between songs because she seems so otherwordly and alien to me but she did talk and was super cute actually haha tho during her songs she has that dominatrix-esque charisma. mesmerising. (also it was so funny how the photographers absolutely dashed towards her everytime she was popping her pussy lol) the crowd was screaming like crazyyyyy after suck. everyone give it up for cunnilingusssss also she was going crazy on the cross during that one, it didnt even cross my mind to film it because i was sooo sucked in (lol) her performance. amazing, 10/10 (the face the waist the nails the shape etc)

For Domiziana I just knew Ohne Benzin before and sort of listened to her music a bit before we went to her show and I really liked it! she only had a 45 minute set and I did think it was a bit of a shame that she shortened her already short songs in favour of playing a few covers, id rather she play her full songs and not the covers. anyway greatttt energy i liked the songs that i hadnt heard before, ive had malena and auf die party on repeat ever since. she was also super cute when she talked between songs lol before she played amore she talked to a fan who was apparently going offfff in the front row and asked her if she was single and then went "Oh mein Gott Lea ist singleeeeeeee 🤖" and her DJ turned the autotune on halfway thru that was so funny. im afraid im writing this in a boring way haha u had to be there 😌 she was actually walking around the festival the next day i saw her around! (and I also Nura formerly from SXTN once? that was kinda wild. she's way shorter than i thought)

Slayyyter was wall to wall gay men as expected lol. she absolutely has a set of pipes on her, those grand 80s type pop songs off of starfucker suit her sooo well. she was really giving diva, u know when drag queens strike a pose and do that intense stare at the crowd, thats what she was doing. she played remixes of venom and self destruct, they were def more techno than the originals, i wonder if that is fixed in her setlist or she did it bc its technically a techno festival. it was fun to see the contrast between her more melodic poppy stuff and then the super noisy songs like james dean and the aforementioned remixes. the crowd were loving it all. i loved it, shes a great perfomer and a lot of her songs really go offfff live, theres nothing like a crowd yelling "K! COKE! MONEY!" in the call response that is Purrr (one of my fav songs off starfucker!) and she introduced that song by going: "Who here has done any substances toniiiiiiiiiight!!!" to a grand cheer of the audience. amazing truly.

Eartheater was. um. well i think she had the most thankless venue/time slot combination, she was the very first act on the last day on the big stage and there weren't that many people in the beginning, though it filled up as her set went on. i don't really listen to her music, i've just heard a few songs before and someone whose musical taste i trust recommend that i see her show and it was cool musically! her fit was sick as well. she just seemed to be in a bad mood throughout? she told off some guy in the front row who was on his phone (?) during a song and showed him the middlefinger instead of singing, made some annoyed comments that you could hear the bass from another stage a bit, and then for her last song she played like 20 seconds on the guitar (which she had played during the concert before) and then she stopped and complained that it was out of tune blabla we dont have time to tune it and then sang accapella. idk ive never experienced something like that, i thought it was a bit uncomfortable to witness as an audience member tbh

Isabella Lovestory baby! my love my angel my mother. its my second time seeing her, last time was in a tiny club were i bullied myself to first row and didnt really have space to stand and had to lean on the speakers the entire show, good times. this time also front row because i am bordering on being a groupie for her. the guy next to me was filming her on his flip phone i hope u enjoy ur 144p footage of her king <3 anyway she was soooooooo good as expected! she opened with botoxx which was so great to see live, vip was fucking sick as well. and she played an unreleased song called telenovela which sounded great!! im really looking forward to her new album <3 and she possibly played another unreleased one but im not entirely sure? i didnt recognise it but she didnt announce it so idk it might just have been something off her first ep. i think kamixlo was djing? and he opened with love4eva by loona yyxy lol my weeb queen. oh actually for that stage there were like screens in the back (u can see it on the cobrah pic further up) where they projected some like mood images and isabella had some of perfume (the jpop group), tommy february6, and possibly newjeans? at some point. but anywayyyyy i love her so much it was so great to see her live again. oh and i did get a little chin caress at the end when she went down to the audience lol successful groupie moment

actually Cobrah Domiziana Slayyyter and Isabella Lovestory were all on the same smaller stage and i thought it was a bit of an issue that the lights coming from the back were way brighter than the ones from the front so they were all backlit as hell and u couldnt really see their faces a lot of the time :( but still great performances from all of them

other than that there were quite a few dj sets, i liked schwefelgelb and we checked out horsegiirl who was also cool though a bit too high energy for me at that moment. i liked her original songs that she played! my little white pony and obsessed were both good. and the horse mask really is something else lol. and i wanted to see sega bodega as well but he cancelled short notice bc of an ear infection :( get well soon king 💪
