Things I loved about Shazam! Fury of the Gods (spoilers):

Zachary Levi is, as always, an absolute pleasure to watch

They’re having so much fun with it and you can really tell, it’s just nice to see a movie where they get to act like little kids and enjoy themselves

They actually take the time on individual characters, and yeah some of it’s just kinda in your face and obviously they don’t have that much time to go too into depth for so many characters, but the writers clearly care about their characters and their arcs/stories

The coming out scene was actually really sweet and didn’t feel forced (I know that it’s the bare minimum but for the story they told it was focused on just the perfect amount, there was a lot going on and adding anything more would’ve just been too messy)

Also just that whole reveal scene in general, I love this little chaos family

Rachel Zegler did a really great job at emulating that old, Greek goddess style of speaking without making it too over the top and cheesy

Was not expecting Gal Gadot to actually show up but I loved it (sure it was a bit of an ex machina to bring Billy back but it was fun so like… who cares)

K so I love the shzm movies but they rly don’t hav a time frame

In the first movie Billy is 15 k so two years have passed bc they’re 17 now but mary can drink so that means she would of had to be 19 in the first movie but that doesn’t rly make sense bc she should hav been 18 bc if she’s going to college as soon as possible (then she should hav applied at 17 realistically but whatever) so apparently it’s been like three years for Mary

boys should hav graduated already bc they’re 17

And separate problem what is the time frame for when Freddy was kidnapped like I thought it was like at least a day or two but Rosa an Victor don’t give to shits that there kid is kinda missing so

Can we talk abt how much Mary was a Gaslighting gatekeeper to Billy in sfotg she was all pissy wt Billy bc he didn’t understand how to feel when she told him he would basically be a awful burden to Victor an Rosa if he were to stay wt them bc they don’t get anymore benefits for having him even tho I think Mary an Pedro were doing the same thing I might be wrong but isn’t perdo older I might be hallucinating but that’s what I thought anyway but like the annoying thing is she pretty obviously didn’t say this to Freddy who would be doing the same thing a month later but like whatever (then she goes to tell him he’s crazy for caring “to much” an he’s holding on “to tight” which literally she did the same thing when she chose to not go to college bc she wanted to stay wt her family ahahahahshjsjdjdjdjfjfnfnfnfnjsjsj
