The Feet are in the ground because the shoes are big as heck just fy1 and also the ankles look funky on the thick model because of her shoes. I noticed after the fact! With different shoes they look fine! I added another photo <3

Non-FRC kids will never know of the time where a stadium of high-schoolers chanted "water game" (an FRC in-joke), however the organizers misheard it and were really confused why everyone was chanting "watergate".

Heyo, random American goy who spent four days in the same convention center as you in April, and I was wondering what the process of getting there was like. I saw the thread on Chief Dephi about Israeli teams having issues getting to champs and I'm curious what your experience with that was, as well as frc in Israel more broadly. Good luck with reefscape next year, so jealous you all get water game right after I graduate.

I am envious of the water gamers as well, I am an alum too :(

so here's my experience:

we went abroad pretty early compared to other teams, and we arrived before the problems arrived. A friend forgot their passport and had to reschedule, and he was a pit member, but that's fine, right?

(now that kids is what we in the writing business call foreshadowing)

so we get abroad, Texas is really cool, and then we are waked by our mentors to the message "welp Iran is sending a fuckton of missiles, and we might be getting into a war"

So we all panic, call our families and stuff, but it turns out Iran's military sucks and all is well

Except, every team that hasn't gone abroad yet, just can't. the airspace above Israel is locked, and all flights are canceled.

Miraculously, most teams manage to get there anyway (our friend included, thanks god).

Comps were awesome, a few.... unwanted flags… but nothing more than that. and Orbit #1690 winning was such a patriotism boost I can't even explain it

FRC in Israel?

Well, it's pretty intense. roughly a third of the teams are worlds-level, and while we are the second best in Israel, you know FRC, wayyy too much luck is involved. a game lost here and there is the difference. It's also much more defensive than abroad? y'all seem to forget that stopping the opponent is almost as good as scoring yourself? even the world champion can be severely damaged with a good defense, which there is. I don't know how it is abroad, but all the major teams know each other's players' names by heart, and a major part of comps is going down to the pits and gathering cool, new, impressive things. (going to orbit is always gonna blow your mind, they are a beast of a team, their tools make ours look like toys)
