Formula 1 Prepare to Begin the Season in Austria as French GP Called Off
Tumblr media
Formula 1 chief – Chase Carey – says he is planning to launch the season in July in Austria, after France has become the latest country to postpone the race. On Monday, French Grand Prix organizers said the race at Paul Ricard on 28 June was off until mid-July due to the country's ban on important events. Yet Carey also stated he was "increasingly confident with the progress of plans to begin the season this summer" He said that the first race was scheduled from 3-5 July in Austria. "September, October and November, would see us race in Eurasia, Asia and the Americas, finishing the season in the Gulf in December, with Bahrain before the traditional finale in Abu Dhabi, having completed between 15 and 18 races. We will publish our finalized calendar as soon as we possibly can,” Carey added. "We expect the early races to be without fans but hope fans will be part of our events as we move further into the schedule. "We still have to work out many issues, like the procedures for the teams and our other partners to enter and operate in each country. "The health and safety of all involved will continue to be priority one and we will only go forward if we are confident we have reliable procedures to address both risks and possible issues," he added. Why Is France off? And What about Silverstone? The postponement of the French event was regarded unavoidable after the country's ban on mass demonstrations was extended by President Emmanuel Macron until mid-July of earlier in the month. Previously, Silverstone said the British Grand Prix could not be conducted with fans, but the circuit is in discussions with the government "on the viability of an event behind closed doors" The old British Grand Prix date of 19 July would be the first of two races at Silverstone under new proposals, with the second one a week later on 26 July. The season would start in Austria with two races, the initial date of 5 July followed by a second race on 12 July at the Red Bull Ring. In a tweet, managing director of French Grand Prix – Eric Boullier – said that his eyes "were turning towards the summer of 2021" But at a later point this summer, a race at the home of the sport, the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France, could still be resurrected-the announcement calling off the race said only that on 28 June organizers "take note of the impossibility to maintain the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France on 28 June"

Races behind Closed Doors Austria is one of the first Countries in Europe to slowly begin to relax its lockout and F1 bosses have been in discussions with the country's officials as to whether a race could be conducted safely. At least the first four Formula 1 races would be behind closed doors-and maybe several more would appear. Professor Devi Sridhar, Professor and Chair of Global Public Health at Edinburgh University and Director of the Global Health Governance Program, said on Twitter on Saturday: "Hate to be a bearer of bad news does not see any major sporting events taking place in 2020 or early 2021 with spectators. "Goal is to establish some sort of economic/social activity while keeping COVID-19 cases low and big events could upset this fragile balance going forward." "We are unable to stage this year's British Grand Prix in front of the fans at Silverstone,” Silverstone said in a statement on Monday. "We have left this difficult decision for as long as possible, but it is abundantly clear given the current conditions in the country and the Government requirements in place now and for the foreseeable future, that a Grand Prix under normal conditions is just not going to be possible. "We have consistently said that should we find ourselves in this position we will support Formula 1 as they seek to find alternative ways to enable F1 racing to take place this year. "Following this weekend's news from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, we are now working with them on the viability of an event behind closed doors." F1 managers took a range of steps to try to shield the sport from the worst consequences of the public health emergency. It include rescheduling a big rule change from 2021 to 2022 by one year, and requiring teams to race the same cars next year. Bosses are still in the middle of talks about reducing the proposed budget limit for the sport when it comes into effect in 2021. #OnLimits #penalty #honeybadger #points #RenaultF1Team #driver #RenaultSport #champion #FormulaOne #F1 #Formula1 #CircuitPaulRichard #LeCastelet #GrandPrix #racing #motorsport #weekend #FrenchGP #FrenchGrandPrix #event #trip #travel #fun #joy #enjoy #TopSpeed #TopSpeedMagazine https://www.instagram.com/p/BzGwb6jopPU/?igshid=19siaa6d1ruvu

1931 Bugatti Type 54 GP As a stop gap between planned models, Bugatti produced the Type 54. It became a synthesis of the Type 45 chassis with an eight-cylinder engine from the Type 50. It was raced actively from 1930 to 1933 and became known for its brute power among the more nimble Type 35s it replaced. At the Monza GP in 1930, Louis Chiron and Archille Varzi raced the first two Type 54s. Varzi was able to secure third place which wasn’t bad for a car conceived and fabricated in just two weeks. A highlight victory came when Varzi won at at Avus in 1933. In 1934 maximum weight restrictions made the Type 54 redundant. Two chassis were later converted into road cars by Bachelier and Messrs Uhlik. Grand Prix car of 1931, fitted with a twin overhead-cam 4.9 liter engine delivering 300 hp (223 kW). Four or five were built. Chassis number 54201 was the first type 54 built and was the works car for Achille Varzi , factory number plate 4311-NV1 Source: www.supercars.net & Wikipedia www.facebook.com/StampSellersBKI #stamps #philategram #stamp #rare #filatelia #prangko #philately #worldstamp #philatelie #philatelist #special #postzegels #airmail #perangkokuno #stampsellers #selos #stampscollection #stayhome #postales #shotoniphone #bugatti #bugatti54 #supercharged #frenchgrandprix #winner #sportcar #granprix #300HP #france #ettorebugatti https://www.instagram.com/p/CDI3a4qpLB_/?igshid=z4wdt2ibp7w4
