Thinking about how it feels like the world of RDR2 ended when Arthur died, how things would never be the same again, how bittersweet it is meeting the people you once were in a gang with, how much it hurts to play as a shadow of someone you lost. That's when most people stop playing.
But the world didn't end, the world carried on. The people you knew moved on, new people you meet spoke fondly of your brother. The world kept turning and showing you that Arthur may be gone, but his memory is all around you.
His name is etched on a memorial hall donation plaque, the beasts he hunted were hung proud on a veteran's wall, the widow he taught to hunt is now thriving, the strangers he helped on the side of the road talk about the man that saved them, and so much more, but most of all - his hat sits proudly on your head and his journal lays heavy in your satchel.
This part of the game has taught me a lot, but it has taught me to move on most of all.

I'm gonna be a hater for a moment and say that I wish they hadn't made it so a "good" PC could recruit Minthara by knocking her out. Having recruited her on my "evil" playthrough, she's one of the best written characters in the game (when her dialogues actually trigger) and her VA's performance is fantastic. I'm not alone in having said the evil route is pretty bare bones relative to the good choices, and Minthara was one of the few things it had going for it. And I do want more people to experience that!
But you can do that by just. Thinking up an evil PC. Dark Urge is already pretty well set up for this if you're not great at conceptualizing original characters. The evil route is again already gutted, and this just makes the gameplay even more unbalanced. Your actions should have consequences - hence why raiding the grove has Karlach and Wyll leave your party. That's great, I love that moral fortitude on their part! And similarly, siding against Minthara locked you out of having her as a companion.
I know fully that this does not matter, and that other people are approaching the game differently. Hell, I'll probably knock Minthara out to recruit her on my next playthrough because I've adored having her around. (Though how I'll manage to gain approval with her as a goody two shoes, I don't know. The worldviews are pretty diametrically opposed.) But I think that it was a reasonable and well thought out decision to keep Minthara locked to that one choice at the onset. It didn't need to change. And playing as a morally grey or evil character, in a game whose moral greyness was already sparse, suffers more for it.

i've been meaning to ask for like 3 years, do any of you have any OCs that you'd be ok with me drawing as jericho androids in a comic i abandoned have been wanting to finish (or alternatively if you yourself want to be drawn as an android lol)? I feel like that would make it more fun to draw!
i have a couple more things i want to finish first it's just that i got jumpscared by an awful panel from it i'd already finished and it rekindled my motivation :''D
(one important note; the comic features a sex joke and its not really explicit unless you think hard about it and it's not directed at any jericho droids but i'm giving this warning so everyone can stay comfortable)

A little compilation of Souji and Chizuru being codependent (but still thinking “No I shan’t be a burden for them and have them care for me!” when they would do the exact same for the other) and having acts of service as their love language post battle of Koshu-Katsunuma and post Chizuru being turned into a rastetsu.
Damn I love them.

One of my least favorite things about Choices Reddit is how half of the time someone talks about how MC is always sub/passive/bottom/fem and LI is always dom/active/top/masc it's always about how it's a problem specifically for male MC players or any non-wlm players. Yes the route was probably written with wlm in mind but this is a problem for any and all players who prefer more masc/active roles, wlms included!!! Stop acting like it isn't!!!

I think Sidestep would benefit from reading The Murderbot Diaries but I don't think Murderbot should ever play FH:R

i've been rewatching lil indigestion's outer wilds playthrough, and i still think it's my favorite out of the many i've watched. at the same time, though, i absolutely cannot recommend his playthrough of the dlc to others in good conscience. outer wilds is a game where the order you go in doesn't matter, EXCEPT for parts of the dlc. and lil indigestion plays the dlc soooo out of order. he still enjoys it overall (and there are some really satisfying moments of realization/understanding), but there's so many other parts of the dlc where he (unintentionally) skips entire sections that are meant to lead him to other sections, as well as other parts where he gets pretty needlessly frustrated by trying to brute force innocuous things as opposed to just following where the game's story leads.

Jean Vicquemare - "See -- there!" He wags his finger at you. "He's getting it! I was *impersonating* him. Look at me, I'm G-Bevy. It was going to be funny. But then you really did have brain damage -- so not so much anymore."
the phrase more than any that makes me spin this dude around.

Question to anyone that wants to answer, have you all ever heard of a game called ‘Silent Hill’ I really like the story of it and wonder if I can start a fan club ^^
Roxy: Oh yeah, I heard of it! Though, I thought it was just a movie? I didn't know it was a game too!
Monty: I want to punch that triangle guy so bad!
Roxy: He'd kick your ass in a second! He literally ripped all the skin off a chick!
Monty: Well I don't have skin, so I don't need to worry about that!
Roxy: That's not what I meant, loser! Anyway, go ahead and start a fan club, you don't really need our permission to do so.
