The Nashes adopted her! Well, kinda.

By the time she met them Wendy was 5 years out of the Legion, so she wasn't really helpless. She was a pretty good hunter and a decent fisherman (still is) and survived mostly by hiding and hunting. With NCR influence spreading across the Mojave it became really really hard for a person to live independently without being claimed a raider and a squatter and getting shot (even if youre just a random homeless teenage girl), so she kinda moved into more close spaced area aka. started to just steal shit from people and live in their attics. That's how she met Nashes :)

They let her Wendy and employed her! She really liked her job & Johnson and Ruby. I like to think she reminded them of their son 😭.

Also she didn't deliver the package to the Divide in my canon. Wendy did walk the Lonesome Road™ but Ulysses called for her for different reason. I'm thinking about 'the sins of a father' type deal, but it can't be ALL about Aletus being a fucking dick. Or can! I'm still thinking about it, but one thing i know for sure: she knew Ulysses before the Divide and he did too.

Thats the only DLC that my Courier was a part of. With all respect, Old World Blues sucked ass (i hate the PENIS VAGINA CUM jokes that both OWB and Fallout 2 are build upon. It's just not funny and it's hard to focus on what little serious lore the campaign has with these annoying ass robots screaming about penises all the time 😭 Im sorry OWB fans I really tried to like this DLC) and I refuse to believe Honest Hearts are real. Dead Money is much fun but it would be really uncharacteristic for Wendy to try and believe the Sierra Madre stuff. She's a very simple person and she doesn't care about money :)

Also yeah Wendy totally kept in contact with Nashes post-canon and even frequently left little Sharky with them! He totally thought they were his real grandparents until he was 15.

A small small detail I just can't resist telling about!!! In his courier au, Aletus found this self-porktrait of wendy in Nashes' house. After he killed them. Because that how justice looks in the eyes of an unjust man.

After playing fallout I have a newfound appreciation for American culture. Mainly the ncr, I mean the republic def isn’t going to last but the fact it exists is amazing on its own.

A new republic forming from the corpse of a country that by their standards is a empire. Managing to form a revitalized take on a state that was a powerhouse of its own. Despite the flaws in the democratic institutions the simple fact it managed to exist is amazing.

Further east there’s raiders and legion. Which share more similarities than they do differences. While the legion does have order of some kind it’s government is antiquated like the empire they try to emulate. Just like that empire it will collapse one day, albeit not from barbarians but within.

In my view the ncr due to its size will inevitably collapse. But it will collapse into separate independent states that work together. It could be reminiscent of America during the articles of confederation.

If the ncr does succeed in staying together and fully emulating the United States, they could show a reverse manifest destiny. Ofc this time it would be from California to the capitol wasteland.

It’s interesting to think about nonetheless.

As I stated she isn't fond of The NCR so she wouldn't help them with taking The Dam unless that was her only choice she isn't fond of House either and she loathes The Legion so she works towards The Mojave's Independence with the help of Yes Man

Her primary skills I imagine would be Repair, Speech and Guns however she isn't much of a confrontational person and views talking her way out of a situation is more ideal

Her S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats I imagine are 4 Strength, 7 Perception, 6 Endurance, 5 Charisma, 6 Intelligence, 5 Agility and 7 Luck going off of her stats in Fallout Shelter

She has most of the companions with her with the exception of Boone because he's Boone but she does help him with finding who sold Carla she's best friends with Veronica maybe even girlfriends along with Christine perhaps hehe and Raul and Lily are her grandparents her and Arcade buttheads sometimes but they're like siblings and she likes Cass and ED-E and Rex are her babies as are Lonesome Road!ED-E and Roxie

Speaking of the DLC's

Dead Money I imagine is absolute hell for her but hey she meets Christine so it's a win in her book and she brings back tech from The Madre too she helps Dog and God become one and helps Christine out as well but kills Dean and Elijah this is one of the few times she views killing as a viable option

Honest Hearts she helps Joshua fight The White Legs but has Joshua spare SUW and ends up killing Joshua and sending Daniel back to New Canaan with a message "Leave the tribes of Zion alone or I will finish what The White Legs couldn't."

Old World Blues I imagine is also hell but hey she gets a new puppy and new AI friends but she does kill Mobius and The Think Tank

As for Lonesome Road well as much as she hates The NCR she can't bring herself to nuke them as there's a lot of innocent civilians in The NCR plus destroying The Long-15 would be bad for The Mojave the same however cannot be said for Dry Wells as she nukes that place to high hell weakening The Legion further

I imagine she deals with The Omertas by assisting Cachino but then kills him after Sal and Nero are dead because Cachino is an awful person and I imagine she replaces him with someone not awful however Idk who that'd be yet and deals with Mortimer as well as helping that rancher by eliminating Heck Gunderson as I said she doesn't like killing but she kinda let her emotions get the better of her when given the choice of killing Heck

Other factions she works with are The Khans, The Followers and The Kings

He picked Yes Man. His dad is actually part of the NCR so his whole family is naturally geared towards defending the cause. So did Michael at first but the more time he spent exploring the mojave and New Vegas, the more he realised what could potentially be best for them even if it meant betraying his family(they didn't see it like that ofc but it did take his dad away from his job, oof)

funny story about that. so. her last surviving sister, vera, was actually taken captive by the legion after she narrowly escaped the ncr's massacre of their family (not long after joss left, who feels that blood is on her hands). everything joss has done up to this point — stealing the chip & killing the real courier six, tracking benny down the vegas, etc etc etc — has been to get back to vera, who she actually finds working in gomorrah prior to massacring the omertas. after they're reunited, she's come far enough that she's decided to win the whole damn thing, so she baits benny with the chip after seducing him so he'll lead her right to house's base and do the lifting for her before she swoops in and takes it all.

so. how convenient that he leads her right into the enemy camp, and how convenient that he's already primed for elimination! she cooperates with caesar to get into fortification hill's station. hilarious move since he has literally been sending assassins for her ass ever since she took out vulpes & co at nipton, but sure thing, eddie.

anyway. despite all her bravado, this is the first time that joss actually realizes she can, in fact, take the whole damn thing. she also realizes she doesn't want to deal with all of this bullshit by herself. there is exactly one person alive stupid enough to ally with her. she unties him.

they massacre the entire fucking legion camp.

(narratively, she actually offers to fight him one-on-one in the right and then fires into the crowd instead and they fight their way out that way; the in-game mechanics are a fucking nightmare because she literally has to go back to the docks where she locked up all her shit to get a better gun than the 9mms you can pickpocket from around camp and then fights her way back UP to the tent to take out caesar and cut benny loose.)

started watching fallout (2024) last night. made it through 2 episodes due to power issues (we had a blackout), but i have some thoughts* so far. below the cut bc it does have spoilers

yknow i really only have a few critiques of the show so far but it's honesty not BAD. i have questions but they feel like ones that will be answered in later episodes. and if not, then they become critiques

that said it is. interesting. that two of the main b.o.s characters (in what i would argue is a more violently fascist chapter than that of maxson's) are visible minorities (maximus, the main character, is a black man & his closest friend is a transmasc nonbinary who i think? is latine. but i could be wrong they don't have a big profile)

meanwhile the pure vault dweller is a white woman, and the ghoul outlaw with a secretly good heart was a white man

ofc maximus and dane (character's name) were ostracized within the chapter but like.. overarching moral alignments have me. worried.

esp too bc there was an escaped enclave scientist who lucy (mc; vault dweller) was helping and i am really worried they're gonna try to make a sympathetic but non critical approach

who btw j sawyer fought tooth and nail against todd/bethesda to even include withing arcade's storyline

but other than that, it's. actually a decent watch. i'm curious to see what approach they take with the raiders bc, while always bloodthirsty and violent, even fuckers like motor runner had clear moral standpoints & reasons for what they did. it wasn't baseless chaos; they were sending messages against the ncr and shit

understandably, even if the portrayal is memorialized as "hah drugs crazy", but they had genuine views and were, at some point, wronged

- Ofc even beastmen in NCR would find Chris’ behaviour strange as she’s “too human-like” and is completely unaware of certain cues exclusive to them

- The NCR boys don’t know anything but assumes Chris either has a human superiority complex or is harassed by a human supremacist (or both-)

Lucky Luke but the setting is just the Fallout universe.

Luke himself is unchanged - almost all his SPECIAL stats are at 10. Grew up with his aunt Martha and headed out on his own after a deployment with the NCR. The only difference really being is the rumors that he might be a ghoul/cyborg. He's still the fastest draw in the west. No energy weapons tho - those freak him out.

Jolly Jumper is a rare horse that has 4(!) whole working legs. He however has a few oddities common with Wasteland steeds - the most obvious being his albinism and stubborness.

Rantaplan/Rin Tin Can is a normal Dogmeat Dog. Has a Luck stat of 10 and an Intelligence of 1. Likely decended from the infamous Pariah Dog.

The Daltons are around ofc. People are convinced that they're just clones of eachother - however Ma Dalton has the photos and newspaper clippings to prove that the brothers are a rare case of surviving(!) quadruplets.

The Daltons briefly ran with the Powder Gangers (probably were involved in the big break out) but got kicked out for being incompetient with the dynamite.

Calamity Jane is just wandering arounf being a bamf. She might even BE the Courier.

Most of the Lucky Luke plots stay unchanged save for the occassional Cazador that interrupts tense gunfights.

So as I said before she didn't grow up in Vault 33 tho I would imagine perhaps she had family that did perhaps that's sorta where her family originated from

She grew up on a farm in rural California under the jurisdiction of the NCR with her dad and brother her mom died during childbirth when Norm was born

Despite being raised in NCR territory she isn't exactly fond of them this is mostly due to the fact that Hank isn't fond of them either see Hank is an NCR war veteran he was in The NCR-Brotherhood War and The NCR-Enclave War and he left the army as soon as he was given the chance to

Come 2271 and Hank's farm was "sold" to Heck Gunderson which is just a fancy way of saying Heck threatened Hank and his family Hank and his kids were forced to move to The Hub where they had to live in the slums as they were essentially broke Lucy tried to make her living as a mechanic but it didn't pay well the place was pretty shady and Norm enlisted in The NCR in hopes it might be better for them and without his knowledge The NCR killed Hank when he tried to steal water

Norm died in 2277 in The Battle of Hoover Dam

Lucy couldn't bare to stay in California any longer under the jurisdiction of the same government that killed her dad and brother so she ended up heading east towards Nevada and began working as a courier for The Mojave Express for about 4 years before taking The Platinum Chip job in 2281 which we all know how this plays out

Lucy ends up losing her memories due to getting shot by Benny tho she slowly regains her memories many things bring back memories such as many of The NCR areas and brahmin farms around The Mojave but the thing that brings back most of her memories was seeing Norm's name on the war memorial in Boulder City and gains even more back when seeing Heck in The Ultra Luxe

lilac :   what was your muse’s childhood like ?   how has their upbringing affected them as they’ve aged ?

in both verses, her parents were very encouraging of her curiosity and supportive of her desire to learn. she inherited her father’s charisma. on the downside, however. her childhood was a lonely one. she had no consistent children to play with, and so as she has grown up she has painfully craved interaction and companionship.

main: her childhood was very much a comfortable one, or as comfortable as a post apocalyptic world could be. her parents loved her, were present and supportive, and taught her well. she spent most of her time on the road, familiar and comfortable with travel because of it. her parents taught her things through doing them, and reading whatever books came and went thru their caravan supplemented the rest.

the only time things ever were tense was when her uncertainty for her own personal life path sort of... contradicted all that her parents had in mind for her. these days she really doesn’t remember it, but the things that she learned have stuck with her. for all that she wonders how much of her in this life is the same or different, the only thing that has really super changed is her sense of having a purpose.

mass effect: similarly, six grew up in an affluent home. instead of owning a trading and caravan company, her family in mass effect are well to do buying and developing spaceship engines and other parts for commercial crafts. she, like in her main verse, joined up with the  army ( the alliance instead of the ncr. ).

pansy :   does your muse often reflect on their own actions ?   do they ever think a lot about the past ,   and what they could have done differently ?

main: she does. six is a queen of internalizing most things, if not all of them. she seldom remembers her successes, attributing them to the hard work of others. failures on the other hand, she pins entirely on herself. she thinks her failures define her more than her successes do. when she does dwell on her mistakes. six is hyper vigilant when doing anything to not repeat mistakes she has already made once. her failures usually result in people dying, which does not help. ofc i’m talking about veronica. :’)

mass effect: in this verse, not as much. she doesn’t have as much ... idk, angst? in her life? she isn’t as introspective? idk, she is impulsive in both her verses, but in this one she just generally is more carefree. it is only after something goes wrong that she sort of goes oops, and with her remorse does what she can to make amends.

sunflower :   what brings your muse the most joy in life ?  

main: answered here! but here are some more things: getting something that was broken or something that needed a little bit of tlc up and working again. drinking by a campfire with cass, watching things from far away in binoculars with boone. talking to arcade in latin, walking aroung with ed-e as he plays old world songs. trying on pretty dresses with veronica. listening to lily’s stories. playing fetch with rex. repairing things with raul. watching the sunrise. a bubble bath. swimming in a lake and drying off by laying on the beach and letting the sun do the work.

mass effect: her joy is in stability. six yearns for comfort, in having a place she can stay for long periods of time. traveling, while fun, is sort of lonely when she is doing so as a lone agent. she finds joy in making friends.

hollyhock :   how strong is your muse’s sense of ambition ?  what’s something they strive for in life ?  

main: not very strong. she is more of a supporting role to big players on the strip. all six wants, deep down, is to be loved. she wants to do good things and help others, and that for all that she is a workaholic and is constantly doing things to make the wasteland better or to make sure that people’s goals are realized, it is not for her own power grab.

mass effect: in this verse, it is a bit greater. cerberus, unlike house, sort of puts humanity into some kind of position, in their mind, of like... deserving things. she is someone who cares about making humanity not just be one of the races that are lesser than those of the council. in this verse, she’d be happy earning a place to be a politician or someone who would advocate for humanity interests.

Boo: Ghost or witches?

Witches!! I’ve always, always loved magic and being able to do magic. Not that I doubt ghosts being able to do them too, ofc. But, witches have a soft place in my heart and I’ve always loved them since when I was a child.

Bundled: Describe your ideal date

Movie night, bundled in blankets and eating snacks. Just laughing or screaming at something we’re watching. Or a walk outside in the early morning or late afternoon. Or maybe a picnic somewhere where the skys cloudy and we’re just relaxing. Or maybe even just stuck at home and we’re building a pillow fort!

Hearth: Ideal home

Ohhhh aaaaaaa. Uh. A kitchen, definitely. Big enough that it’s easy clean and bake. A biiig but comfortable bed,, a living room where I can play games with friends and fam, a backyard where I can plant flowers. Uh. mostly I want it to be homey, like a cottage, maybe? And a library where I can just read in silence, or maybe to the chirping of birds or rain.

Intricate: What’s a subject you have random knowledge about?

This is hard because I don’t really think about the random things I know, it just comes out if you talk to me, yknow? Uh. But hmm. I’d say politics but that’s a given and not at all random. Maybe psychology? I love psychology. Oh, what about the scantalating world?? Like, did you know there’s an unspoken rule whenever a group wants to translate a manga? Especially if their aren’t licensed or been given permission to by the author. One of the things I know is that, they consider it sniping or stealing from a group if you translate a manga that has been updated in the course of less than 3 months. But if it hasn’t been updated in three months—or if the scan team/person explicitly said that they weren’t going to continue it—then it’s first come first serve.

Hmmmm,,, maybe about my native language? So, Filipino has many, many dialects!! Each differing depending on where you’re from, Luzon, Visayas or Mindanao, and then differs much mroe on what province/city you’re in. The three isalnds is symbolized by the three stars on our flags! I’m from Luzon, specifically NCR or National Capital Region, I won’t say anything more specific than that, but just knoq that NCR is big as hell. Anyway, I know Tagalog! Which is boring haha but it’s known as the capital language??? Kinda?? Like, it’s the ver of English here. If you wanna go to like, say, Metro Manila, you need to know Tagalog because there’s a low chance of people knowing a dialect from where you’re from. So technically this isn’t a random knowledge from a subject, but I thought it’s interesting to know haha.

Rain: Favourite type of weather?

I like rainy weathers because it’s very soothing to listen to, and sleep to. But at the same time, we only have two weathers here haha and I’d take anything over a sunny one.

Frost: Anything you’re looking forward to?

ANIME! Aaa I’m looking forward to BOFURI season two (IF it’s even coming huhu, and if it does I think it’s coming next year or year 2022) AND Horimiya anime!!! I love Horimiya so so much, I’ve been following it since forever and I’m so glad it’s gonna have an anime. Same with Wotakoi, too, but I’m pretty sure it’s been out for awhile now? And ofc, the day Covid ends but, uh, that’s not coming for a long time here, I’m p sure. Another is that I really, really wanna get started on cross stitching since I bought a “how to” book and some materials already but I’ve been too nervous to get started on, so I’ll probs do it tomorrow or when I’m for sure free. After, I might look into crochet, too!!

while emily was staying in the gc, eris told emily to call prudence “miss prude” which further annoyed prudence but ofc she couldn’t do anything other than walk away. emily reminded eris of clara which is why she felt extremely protective of her and spent her free time with her.

eris wanted to be a baker growing up. she experimented with things when she was younger and had been encouraged by her father to pursue it. then after her father passed and her family had gone on the run, she’d scavenge for food to bake and keep her family fed. but once she was in dunwall she stopped baking altogether.

she and adrian went to school for a short while then got home school education from their mother.

her father was considered a hero because he’d been one of the men at hoover dam who defeated caesar’s legion. when luna was in the ncr, she felt like she had to live up to his expectations and kept getting compared to him to the point that she got fed up with it and quit and was ashamed to tell her father so she lied about still going while she had already got the job of a courier which explained why she’d be gone for days.

joshua has a space in his cave where he keeps all the gifts luna gives him in her travels. she teases him, calling it a shrine for her and he’s like andwhataboutit.gif which luna gets all giddy about because he’s never forthcoming with how he feels about her half the time lmao

luna gets self conscious about the bald spot she got from the gunshot wound and josh has to be like “....my entire body is charred” and she’s like “no offense but i’m different” and then he just sighs and tells her she’d be beautiful if she were bald and then she cries.

she gets a little intimidated when she’s doing anything with dutch while they’re on a mission because she feels like he’s critiquing her or he’ll end up getting after her if she messes up which is why if arthur or john are tagging along she’ll cling to them and be quiet the entire time.

rosa is that good with shooting that no one in the gang tries to play against her when she offers to have a target practice challenge, except arthur who’s a very close second at being on her level.

every outfit she wears consists of dark colors and everyone tells her she’s crazy for wearing them in the summer. she’s essentially like “it’s for the aesthetic” while having a heatstroke and coming back to camp drenched in sweat.

john is the better dancer compared to rosa who has the habit of stepping on his feet but he still asks her to dance with him because he’s a huge sap and likes to have her near him.

he still brings her flowers any time he’s out on a robbery or if he’s on guard at camp. whoever he’s with will get mad while they’re getting shot at and they’ll see john scrambling to pull out a flower. when they ask him why he risked his life for a flower he’ll just say “it was too pretty leave there.” rosa keeps every single one in her notebook.
