An apple a day makes you a better artist I say :) Another iPad scribble with the heavypaint app, also completely painted from imagination with no photo reference. I wanted to see how far I could go just relying on what I know about color and light, and apples. I felt slightly handicapped on the new app, since I didn’t even know how to change the opacity of the brushes. Now I know. To make this apple more interesting I added a bite mark, maybe not quite anatomically correct though. I tried to figure out how the light was traveling through that area, with warm and cool shadows, sub surface scattering, thickness of the apple peel, shinyness of the peel. Added some off screen reflection from a window with cool light. This is a quick drawing (it took me 4 days to finish it) which I drew after 9 days without drawing. 😱 It was surprising but I'd done it so fast cuz usually it takes 6 or 7 days to finish the artwork. I expected it to be more longer than 4 days because of this long break that was full of preparation for the exam.🤓 And I think I should use something new except of a charcoal pencil and that's why now I'm trying some color pencils...and it's really hard ahah.✍️

I tried to do Kylo Ren but I failed miserably, the proportions are wrong and I did the pose from imagination. Things I learned from this one in particularly. I should have a goal in mind before starting. This will keep me on track and not to get to wild without a plan. This would have me lock a pose down and make sure the drawing was right. This one was all spontaneous without direction.
