because bakugou katsuki is a jerk but he's also unfortunately your soulmate.

a/n: the LARGELY requested part two! honestly, i'd be willing to write more parts if people wanted :) this part ended up being more about the girls and y/ns friendship but i couldn't help myself - if you guys want some fluff with bakugou for future parts, just let me know!

part one. part three.

“You’re hiding something from us.”

There’s a beat of silence, then another, then another and when finally, you realize you should say something, you blink, sputtering out a barely believable; “no i’m not.”

Mina and Jirou glance at each other, then behind them at the rest of the girls, and you feel a layer of sweat build up when you realize all of your female classmates are here, surrounding you, demanding an answer. And you’ve never really been all that good at lying before, it’s how Bakugou was able to figure out the whole “i’m your soulmate thing” rather quickly and it had only taken him as long as it had because, well, it was Bakugou.

So, to put it bluntly, you’re screwed.

“Come on, Y/N,” Mina laughs, “that wasn’t even remotely believable.”

You know it’s written across your face, your eyes wide and your lips parted and you’re sure you look like quite the picture in that moment surrounded by every single female student in your class, a group of girls you considered your friends but were feeling considerably more like your interrogators in that moment.

But you have to at least try.

“I’m not hiding anything,” you repeat, this time taking special care to make sure your voice is even and somewhat believable. “I’m just… tired. It’s been throwing my balance off. Sorry guys.”

You really are because you have been weird recently and you were hiding things (even if you were desperate for them not to know that) so the sincerity was there and it seems to be enough because they all glance at each other, frowning, and you can literally see the determination fade as Momo speaks up first.

“You have been leaving to train a lot,” she agrees with a solemn nod. “It’s no wonder you’re so tired. But you should still try to get some rest, don’t push yourself so hard.”

You let out a breath of relief, trying not to let it show as some of the girls shuffle back to walk away, until—

“Wait, that reminds me!”

It’s Jirou who calls it out and you feel yourself freeze.

“She hasn’t been training!”

Eyes widening, you turn to look at Jirou. She’s grinning your way, her figure pointed in your direction, clearly pleased she’d caught you in your lie.

“Jirou,” Uraraka calls out, confused. “What are you–”

“Two nights ago when she left to go training, I followed her, thinking we could train together… she wasn’t there.”

They gasp. Literally gasp.

“Now that you mention it,” Froppy nods, finger held to her chin in thought. “I haven’t actually seen her in the gym very often… nor does she look particularly like a person who’s just trained when she comes back.”

Their eyes fall on you and you take a step back.

“Y/N—”

And then you just run.

“I can’t believe she just ran!”

“I know!”

“Guys, I’m sure she had her reasons.”

“Who?”

Mina’s lips are left parted at the sound of Kirishima’s voice, all the girls turning to face him in the living room where he’s sat with the rest of the class.

“Y/N,” Mina explains with a huff, falling into the couch dramatically. “She’s been ditching us constantly and always leaving right after we return from class with some excuse. When we tried to ask her about it today, she lied and then when we caught on to her lie, she ran! Literally just bolting down the hallway before we could even blink.”

Kirishima frowns, glancing over to Denki on his left.

“That doesn’t sound like Y/N,” Deku calls out from across the room, head tilted in curiosity. “Especially to lie to you guys.”

“I know!” Mina calls out, throwing her hands up in exasperation.

“Like I said,” Uraraka speaks up, trying to remain calm. “I’m sure she has her reasons. Maybe something’s wrong…”

“You think she could be in danger?” Shoto asks, quirking a brow.

Uraraka shrugs; “I don’t know… I hope not.”

Everyone falls silent, worried expressions plastered on their faces.

“Wait, Kirishima… bro.” Denki calls, reaching to shake Kirishima aggressively, to which the red-haired boy swats his hands away, shaking his head.

“What?”

“Hasn’t Bakubro been disappearing a lot too?”

All the girls straighten out.

Kirishima just shakes his head; “Bakugou is always disappearing. You know he doesn’t like hanging with us a lot.”

“No, Denki’s right,” Sero nods, “even if he isn’t hanging with us, he’s usually in his room or in the gym. Recently, he just completely disappears.”

“I guess you’re right…” Kirishima frowns.

“Wait,” Jirou calls out, “what are you saying? That Bakugou is disappearing with Y/N?”

“That’s crazy,” Mina brushes off. “I’ve never even seen the two talk to each other unless they’re forced to–wait.”

Everyone's eyes snap to hers, wide.

“What?”

“You don’t think… no. It’s not possible.”

“Oh my god,” Denki cries out suddenly, leaning forward with a manic look in his eyes. “Bakubro is hurting Y/N!”

“Wait–”

“No way!” Kirishima calls out, turning to Denki. “Bakugou is a lot of things, but he would never hurt somebody intentionally. Especially not a girl. That’s not manly. Right, Midoriya?”

“Right,” Deku nods confidently, before pausing; “I think?”

“Hey!”

“Guys, no!” Mina cuts in, shaking her hands widely before her. “That’s not what I meant.”

“Okay…” Momo nods, “then what?”

She leans in, pausing for dramatic effect. “He could be… her soulmate!”

There’s silence, then, “no way.”

Mina’s face falls; “why not?”

“Bakugou? Having a soulmate?” Jirou snorts, “I doubt that.”

“Everybody has one!”

“Okay, the odds of him actually caring about his soulmate are slim to none,” Froppy offers in response.

“Yeah,” Deku nods, “I've never once seen Kacchan show interest in his soulmate like… ever.”

Kirishima shakes his head; “even I have to admit that’s so not manly.”

Everyone shuffles around agreements but Mina is quick to argue; “have any of you guys ever seen Bakugou’s soulmate mark?” Slowly, one by one, all glancing at each other, the guys shake their heads. Mina then turns to the girls. “Okay, have any of you ever seen Y/N’s? Cause she’s never shown or told me.”

The girls all shake their heads.

“So how can you really know?” Mina raises a brow, “I mean, Y/N is always so secretive about her mark. She refuses to tell me.”

“Bakugou, we have—”

“Katsuki.”

Coming to a sharp halt, lips left parted, you blink up at Bakugou.

With a grin, Bakugou gently shuts your mouth with a hand to your jaw, laughing lightly; “say Katsuki. That’s my name.”

You can feel your cheeks warm, profusely, and a burst of heat flood through you as you pull yourself from his touch, avoiding his gaze. “Katsuki,” you oblige with a huff and a pout. “We have a problem.”

“Yes?” Bakugou asks, raising a brow your way as he lowers the weight’s he’d been lifting.

“The girls are onto us!”

Bakugou just stares down at you. “What does that mean?”

Exasperated at his obliviousness, you huff, stretching your hands out before you for emphasis as you stare up at him, wide-eyed. “They know I’ve been disappearing after class a lot. I tried to tell them I was training, which I guess we usually are but Jirou caught on to that being a lie too and now they’re onto us!”

Bakugou just blinks. “But what do you mean onto us?”

You let out a cry; “Katsuki! They’re gonna know we’re soulmates!”

“So?”

Pressing a hand to your face, you can’t believe your situation. Not only were the girls onto you, they knew you were lying, which made you feel awful and if they found out that you’d been spending all your time with Bakugou… well that was bound to bring up more questions. Questions you wouldn’t be able to avoid. Questions that would ultimately lead to them finding out Bakugou was your soulmate.

A hand gently reaches for your wrists, pulling your hands away from your face as Bakugou crouches to meet your eyes directly.

“Why is it such a big deal?” He asks gently, an odd tone that you’re still not used to hearing from Bakugou yet. His face remains neutral but there’s patience lingering in his eyes as he waits for you to explain why you’re so upset.

And you do. Your lips part and the words are at the tip of your tongue until, suddenly, you can’t say anything.

Nothing leaves your lips.

“Y/N?”

“I…—”

“You don’t want them to know?”

Blinking, you bite your lip. “It’s not that, it’s just…” But again, you can’t find the words.

“You don’t trust them?”

“Of course I do,” you argue instantly, “they’re my best friends.”

“Okay…” he says slowly, and then his face twists, “are you… embarrassed of me?”

Meeting his gaze, you frown. “...No,” you whisper, and you mean the words.

“Then what’s the problem?”

“I…” Shoulders falling, you frown. “Nothing… I guess.”

“So,” he says, “let them find out!”

Sputtering, you lean back; “it’s not like you’ve told Kirishima or any of the other guys!”

“It’s none of their business,” Bakugou shrugs, letting go of your wrists to set his hand on your head. “But if it makes you feel better, I'll tell them.”

You find yourself silent with disbelief once again, Bakugou’s words echoing in your mind paired with the look in his eyes. Just staring down at you.

Looking at you.

Like you’re his whole world.

“I’m sorry.”

They blink at you.

“I’m sorry about running away yesterday.”

Another blink.

“And I'm sorry I’ve been lying to you guys for the past few weeks.”

Slowly, all the girls glance at each other, trying to gauge the situation, before Uraraka is the first to speak up.

“It’s okay,” she assures with a smile, setting her hand on your shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze. “We appreciate you apologizing. We were just worried.”

“We wanna make sure you’re okay,” Jirou adds, smiling shyly at you.

You take a look at all of their faces, seeing the sincerity staring back at you, before settling on Mina who still has a hint of hurt in her eyes but there’s also hope.

Well, here goes nothing.

“Bakugou’s my soulmate.”

Silence echoes, once again, before.

“What?”

“I knew it!”

“Bakugou!?”

There’s a mix of words, gasps of disbelief and shouts of question thrown out at you as all the girls rush towards you, swarming you, desperate for answers.

You laugh a little at their reaction, and that catches their attention.

“Y/N?” Mina asks, confused.

“I’ve been sneaking off to see him,” you explain to her, meeting her gaze, before letting your gaze drift. “I didn’t say anything because I’m still adjusting to it myself and I still don’t know how to feel about it. But I realized it isn’t fair to lie to you guys like that and that I want you guys to know because you matter so much to me.”

“Y/N…” Uraraka mumbles, tears welling in her eyes.

Her expression mimics many of the other girls before suddenly there’s a body slamming against your own, arms wrapping tightly around your waist as you stumble back, trying to catch your footing.

“Oh. My. God!” Mina screams, you wincing at the sheer volume, as she pulls back, grinning brightly at you. “You have to tell us everything!”

The next morning, you’re sitting at the island in the kitchen eating breakfast, chatting to Mina, Jirou and Kirishima. The rest of the students trickle by, some making breakfast, some in the living room, all in their own conversations, until suddenly it all stops.

It takes you a moment to realize Kirishima, Mina and Jirou are no longer listening to you, head turned to their right and following their gaze, curious, you blink when you realize it’s Bakugou they’re staring at. It’s not like he’s doing anything particularly odd, nothing except for the fact that his gaze is directed on you and he’s heading straight for you and then suddenly, he’s right in front of you.

His gaze drifts from you, to your plate, back to you; “who made you that?”

“Nobody,” you say slowly, still stunned. “I made it.”

He’s grabbing the plate before you can say anything else, pressing a kiss to your forehead that has your cheeks burning before turning and making his way to the fridge.

“I’ll make you something better,” is all he says in explanation.

Your gaze slowly drifts from him to Mina and Jirou who are grinning widely at you, before there’s the shout of;

“Did Bakubro just kiss Y/N?!”

“And offer to make her breakfast!”

“Wait,” Kirishima suddenly calls after Sero and Denki, turning to Mina and Jirou, “why are two grinning!?”

“All the girls are!” Deku exclaims, pointing at Uraraka and Froppy in front of him.

“You guys knew?”

“Of course,” Mina grins, sending a wink Kirishima’s way before shrugging. “Isn’t that right, Bakugou? You and Y/N are soulmates!”

Everyone expects him to ignore her or tell her to shut up, but instead, he pauses in what he’d been doing (cracking an egg for you), turning his head over his shoulders to meet your gaze before smirking.

“That’s right.”

And chaos follows.

Utter and complete chaos.

Day 1 Of Fictober

Love potion

Yandere!Class 1A x Witch Reader Hc’s

Ask:Class 1a got hit by one of their potions and Reader is desperately trying to get an antidote. @serxinns

Warnings: Love potion, Yandere tendencies, obsession, Slight touching without permission.

Infecting the whole class at the same time was a mess. You had left your fail experiment out in your studying room and denki decide it would be funny to take some, and poor it in the food. You had no clue what it did but you knew it stay away, a feeling running down your spine or whispers in your ear.

Denki though it would have been something small like coughing up fire or needing to go right to the bathroom. But no, he infected the whole class with a obsession potion that made them deadly in love with you.

A hair had feel into your cauldron and a few mess up and you had made new potion. Some could say you had made the first one of its kind.

They followed you around the whole night. Their eyes on you at each second with a new sprinkle in their eyes.

At the table they all started to bicker at each other for unknown reasons to you. The girls started to grabbed ahold of you and soon you were picked up from your seat with your arms pulled in different directions. Mina held on and tugged you to her, then on the other side was Uraraka who did the same thing.

“She should sit with me!” “No! She’s with us!”

You groaned and look at the two very confused at the new aura in the air. Soon you were grabbed by Kirishim with Mina “I think sweetie belongs with us.” Then another hand wrapped itself around your wrists. You see deku glaring at Kiri with a glare you had never seen before.

“She’s in our group, I advise you to let go.” Dekus grip tights and the waves and sounds of his quirk get louder. Your face drops and pull you hands away from both of them which takes them back.

You rub your wrists, “I’ll just eat in my room. You guys are all being weird….Did something happen today?” Looking around at all of them your stomach drops. All their gazes are full of hunger.

You pick up your tray and turn to walk out of them room. Something didn’t feel right and the universe was trying to warn you. Heading to the door iida rushed in front of you and blocked off the door way.

“I must ask you to stay! It’s rude to ignore your friends, especially when we’re all worried about you.” You give him and head tilt.

“Worried? Why, I’m fine. If anything I should be the one worried.”

Then a pair of arms wrap around your arm and a head rubs up against you, “We all just care about you, so much.”

“Ribbit- Yeah, can’t we care for you?” Froppy comes up behind her friend and stare at you strangely.

Then all of them are surrounded you and looking at you, then girls taking it to calm you down and baby you. Through all of this you are just very confused. Scared for their well being and your own. So looking around for anything to help you or distract yourself your eyes fall on something that makes your mouth hang open.

Oh. It all made sense.

A potion bottle from your collection with barely any potion left within it. You made a note that this is some sort of affection potion and hopefully it will go away in a few hours.

“I apologize, I see someone in here took some of my potion this morning and infected all of you with it. Don’t worry I’ll find a antidote, I just need some time.” You slip your arm away from her.

As soon as you try and escape pass them, Momo and Hagakure jump in front of you. “But, we aren’t in any harm.” Momo gave you a unusual smile.

“Y/n-San is always so nice to us, she’s too cute.” You blush when a new pair of arms wrapped around from behind and a chin pressed on your other shoulder.

It was Jirou and her face was almost as red as yours and with a shy face, almost a pout. “Stay with us for a few.”

As the girls started to circle around you and start to touch your hair, or body and giggle. The boys stare jealously and darkly at them, wishing they could touch you as well.

There was a small fight after between the BakuSquad, DekuSquad, and others that group together on who you should be with for the rest of the night. Whoever won you got squeezed all night between the groups and babied over.

The next school day was stressful because you got pulled around like a play toy. It was over every small thing, who you got to sit next to, who you get to train with, and even who got to walk you to class.

The main three in class was harder to deal with because they were the group “leaders”. You had bruises on your wrists on how much you got tugged around.

At one point Bakugou pulled you into him and rested is head on your shoulders while pressing you into him. His hands wrapped around your hips and you swear he was trying to kiss you.

There was only one class you had without them, and you used that to make antidote to use on them. So later that night you slipped it into the cookies you made and guilt tripped them into eating it.

“If you don’t love me, I get it. I must make horrible cookies.” You faked crying and rushed away with heart shaped cookies. The class ran after you and shoved them down their throats to make you happy. You smile as they all finish and waited for them to be normal again.

There was only one problem, it never worked.

“How do you feel?”

A shiver ran down your sides as a laugh that sounded off from deku, a smile that was too wide and creepy.

“As in love with you as ever.”

Mina came up and twirled your hair, “Must have made a “Antidote” to make us normal again. Silly you, there’s no changing us.”

She was right. You couldn’t figure out how to make them normal again. There was only hope to keep you going, to one day get them back.

Chapter 5: Winter Gala Cinderella

Summary: When virgin Pro Hero Shouto turns 30, he gains the magical ability to read the minds of people that he touches. After finding out that his personal assistant has a crush on him, everything changes and Shouto finds himself lost in the stressful game called love.

Pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Reader

Warnings: Aged up characters, slight cursing (not a lot), both Shouto and reader POV (3rd person POV too), slight anxiety attack

"Oh! Please come in, Todoroki-san!"

Taking his shoes off at the entrance, Shouto looks around. Y/N's apartment has a homey feeling to it; cozy colored lights, warm wallpaper, and the gentle smell of vanilla fill his senses. Turning back to his assistant, he notices that she has already somewhat put on her dress.

"You came just in time, sir! I managed to zip it up a little bit, but I still need help."

"Of course, I'll help you."

Finding the zipper, Shouto quickly zips it up. 'No more zipper incidents.'

"All done."

"Thank you!"

The dual-toned man watches his assistant twirl around in front of the mirror, admiring the expensive outfit.

After wrapping her boa around herself, Y/N takes Shouto's hand. He leads her out of the apartment and into his car.

...

If you had to describe the gala in one word, it would be majestic. Upon entering, you notice that the entire ballroom is elegantly decorated with crystal chandeliers, gold accents, and floral arrangements. The guests are pro heroes and employees, no doubt top-tier and elite, all dressed to the nines. In the corner, there is a live orchestra performing softly. Shifting your boa around yourself nervously, you look up at your boss.

"Todoroki-san, this gala is incredible! Thank you so much again for inviting me!"

"It's no problem at all, L/N-san. You look stunning, and I'm glad that you accepted the invite."

Being complimented by THE Shouto Todoroki felt like a dream. Even if he was your boss and you saw him five out of seven days of the week, it still made you feel elated to be noticed.

Shouto makes his way through the crowd, his assistant's arm looped with his. He could feel the stares and curiosity from the onlookers, but that didn't matter. All he could focus on were Y/N's thoughts.

'So many pro! Oh my gosh!! Is that Froppy? Uravity? I wonder if Dynamight is here too?? I should get an autograph or something! It's not every day that I have this chance to meet them- oh? Is that shrimp cocktail and steak over there?'

Shouto chuckles quietly to himself. 'So L/N-san is a secret hero fangirl, huh? That's cute.'

-Huh? Snap out of it!-

Shaking his head, he makes his way to his closest friends. Izuku notices him and waves.

"Shouto!"

Katsuki simply nods, but his gaze hardens when he notices the woman behind Shouto.

"Hey, it's good to see you both again." Shouto looks at his assistant and puts a hand behind her back. "This is L/N-san, my assistant. L/N-san, these are my friends, Midoriya and Bakugou."

'OH MY GOSH!! IT'S DEKU AND PRO HERO DYNAMIGHT!! I knew they would come, but I didn't realize that Todoroki-san would introduce me to them!! Omg!!' In contrast to her exhuberant thoughts, Y/N smiles and bows politely.

"It is an honor to meet you two, Midoriya-san and Bakugou-san."

Izuku smiles. "Oh, you were the lady who I Shouto's birthday gifts to!"

Shouto notices the sparkle that grows in Y/N's eyes.

"You remember me?"

"Mhm!"

"No way!!!"

While his assistant and best friend converse, he looks at Katsuki, who quirks a brow at him. The blondie gestures for him to come closer, and Shouto follows. Lowering his voice, he speaks up.

"This is her?"

"Yes."

"Why's she yer plus one?"

"...I don't know."

Shouto genuinely didn't have an answer. All this time, he thought that he did not reciprocate the feelings that Y/N fostered for him, yet... these past few weeks, ever since finding out about her crush on him, he's been... conflicted.

After a period of momentary silence between the two guys, Katsuki scoffs.

"It looks to me like you're stuck. Don't be leading her on."

Letting out a sigh, Shouto replies.

"I know."

...

After having a friendly conversation with his friends and greeting the higher-ups who organized the gala, Shouto leads his assistant to a quiet table to dine at. The food was opened after some remarks by the president of the Japan Heroes Association Board, and everything was fine.

However, once they had finished their food, Shouto heard a camera behind him.

CLICK.

Whipping his head around, he notices a man holding up a reporter's camera at the other side of the room. The flash from the shutter also seemed to have alerted other guests. Security bolted towards the mab, but it was too late, he began running around like a chicken with its head cut off, snapping pictures of the other guests. A woman screamed when another flash went off. Suddenly, there was a group of cameramen at the entrance.

"Why are there reporters?"

"Wasn't this supposed to be a private event?"

Shouto looks at Y/N with concern. Her face is filled with worry. "Sir, what's going on?" "Some reporters must have snuck in. This was supposed to be a private gala."

FLASH.

A reporter snaps a picture of him and his assistant. Flinching, Y/N shielfs her face with the expensive fur.

"Pro hero Shouto! Are you dating this woman?"

Before he can respond, a security guard drags the reporter out. Shouto hears a sigh escape Y/N's face, though he notices her quaking legs and shaky breathing.

"Would you like to go somewhere quieter?"

...

Once the elevator door opens, Y/N gasps. The rooftop garden was beautiful; fragrant flowers, orchestral music playing softly on the speakers, the vibrant city lights.

Everything seemed magical.

"It's... so beautiful and peaceful here. Thank you, Todoroki-san."

Shouto smiles, relieved that she is no longer displaying signs of anxiety.

"Considering what happened in the ballroom, I thought you might appreciate the peace here. Sorry, this is the first time that the paparazzi has been so desperate that they've had to sneak in.

Taking a seat on a bench, Y/N speaks up.

"So, Todoroki-san-"

"Shouto."

"Hm?"

"Call me Shouto."

"Are you sure?"

Was Shouto sure? Y/N wasn't his lover or family, she was his assistant. But, in the moment, Shouto was absolutely sure.

"Absolutely."

"Well then, call me Y/N."

"Y/N."

"Shouto."

The corners of his mouth threaten to curve up when he hears his assistant call him by his first name. Her sweet voice, the way his name rolled naturally from her tongue, it all felt so... tender.

"So, I can imagine that you attend fancy events like this often."

Shouto nods, "Yes. Even since high school, I've had to attend events."

"You seemed so natural in there! I was so nervous, there are so many people that I look up to!"

"Really? Pro heroes?"

Y/N's smile widens as she nods.

"Mhm! I saw so many! Froppy, Uravity, Earphone Jack, Chargebolt... you even introduced me to the famous Midoriya-san and Bakugou-san!"

"All those people you mentioned, I actually attended high school with them." Shouto laughs when his assistant gasps.

"Really?!? Oh my gosh, that is so crazy but makes so much sense!"

As she rambles on, Shouto notices the stray strand of hair covering a small part of his assistant's face. Gently, he tucks it behind her ear.

'She's... gorgeous.'

And then, he hears her voice.

'I have to say it.'

"Todor-Shouto, I like you."

'Did she jus-' 'Oh shit.'

Y/N stands up abruptly, the boa falling off her shoulders and onto the bench.

"I'm sorry sir, I have to go!"

She runs off as fast as she can in her heels and enters the elevator. Shouto realizes what is going on and snaps out of his stunned trance. He grabs the boa and runs to her.

"Y/N, wait!"

The door shuts before he is able to stop it. Looking at the boa in his hands, he curses.

"Damn it!"

A/N: Sorry for the late update, but here's chapter 5!! It's a little different from how I usually write (in my opinion), but I hope you still enjoyed it >w< I apologize if the anxiety attack scene was not very good, I personally have not experienced such an attack nor have a written one into a story.

Heat of the island

“How’d he die, (Y/n)?” Katsuki asks for the last time.

The last time for all of them.

There is something in the air. A sharpness to the quality that just doesn’t sit right. It is past tension and disbelief. Whatever it is, it’s off-putting and confusing. Something isn’t right and you may be the only one to notice it.

And that’s terrifying being among heroes.

A/N: i dont own bnha. tried to edit this the best i could. it's not the best but it'll work tw: plane crash, minor character death, allergies. reader x deku, reader x shouto

“Is everyone clear on the proper procedure?” You ask with your most professional voice.

“She’s acting like she doesn’t know us.” You point to the “whisperers” who are huddled together rather than listening to your instruction. “I do know you unfortunately, which is why I’m asking if you understand.”

Kaminari cackles and Kirishima rubs the back of his neck and mutters an apology. Mina jumps up with Ochako and Tsu, singing a tune about a fabulous vacation. Momo smiles sweetly and encourages it. It’s a wonder how they got through school like this, honestly.

Rolling your eyes, you go to the cockpit. Normally, you would take one of your bigger aircrafts when sporting this many people. It's just Ol’ Betty, your beautiful creation, is your flight of choice today. She wanted to fly again since it’s been a hot minute.

When you were a student in U.A., you worked tirelessly on a plane. A plane that would be safe, light, and secure. One built for speed and is amphibious too. No matter how many times Power Loader told you to make anything other than Betty, and how people made fun of her look, you were determined to finish her. Her mixed pieces of old junk metal, mix matched parts and seats, made her unique and familiar.

Finally, she was born in the nick of time. Right when Shigaraki attacked U.A. and the defenses crashed, it was you who gathered people into Betty and her attachments. She took off like lightning to Shitesku. It was your own version of heroism. Perhaps this is why these heroes trust you so much with Betty. Although she was made by your own hands, she is the best of the best. No other plane was up for the job to transport so many people yet there you and Betty were, ready, willing, and able.

You sit down and nod to your co-pilot, Jay. The plane comes to life and drives. Seconds later, she’s in the air she was made for.

“You sure are eating a lot of those.” Jay continues to eat his fifth bag of peanuts. “They’re good.”

“Honey roasted?” You ask.

“How’d you know?” You side eye him. “’Cause they’re mine punk, slow down on them.”

Jay smacks his lips and continues to eat them with one hand. You’ve known Jay since before you got your license. He was in General Studies, wanting to be a pilot. He sought you out for you to train him. Ever since then, he’s been your right hand. Jay was taking notes on how to create a Betty of his own, even though he criticized every little thing you did. To this day you want to smack the shit out of him.

“It’s okay, though. It's fair since I ate your Debbie’s.” He shrieks. “You ate my Little Debbie’s?”

You hum in response with a grin on your face. “I just love Zebra Cakes.”

“You motherfucker. I can’t have nothing nice.” He pouts and rolls his eyes at you. You laugh at him, just enjoying the ride.

The heroes you are carrying, Uravity, Deku, Dynamite, Pinky, Chargebolt, Creati, Red Riot, Froppy, Anima, and Shouto, are all relaxing and enjoying the ride. Shouto, as you suspected, is asleep the moment the flight started. Katsuki relaxes by the window at first until Izuku starts to excitedly talk about their vacation. The girls sing together and Denki dances in his seat, slightly scaring Koda who just wants to land already. Lastly, there is Eijiro who’s just trying to survive.

All these crazy ass people aboard your precious child. Thankfully, it doesn’t require gasoline like regular, old fashioned planes. No, your baby is charged up with energy and her own determination to go and get them away from you and to their vacation.

“Where are we headed anyway?” You show your co-pilot an island just west of Japan. It should be no more than a few hours flight if that long. With your experience of flying this way, it will be a breeze if everything cooperates, which no doubt it will. Betty is a speed loving machine that has never failed.

“They’re going on vacation. It’s our job to get them there and celebrate when they leave,” You poke your friend on the shoulder and whisper, “And preferably leave with a couple of drinks.”

Setting the course, you put on auto-pilot and pat Jay. “I’ll be back I have to use the bathroom.” In just a few minutes you are out of the bathroom and face your passengers.

“Pilot?” You turn to see Izuku shyly say your nickname that was given to you in high school. “Thanks for the ride.” A slight blush paints his cheeks. He looks away not wanting you to see it. The big guy practically takes up the doorway.

When you two met, you were in high school. You in the support department and him in the hero course. While he usually went to Mei for gear, you were visited for more flight-based items. Once Izuku triggered his Float, he was a client of yours too. Especially when he discovered that you were quirkless. Throughout U.A. it was only the two of you who were quirkless. Moreso you than him given One For All. Nevertheless, the coincidence of quirklessness gave a sense of camaraderie between the two of you.

Growing up with him for three years you got to see the many changes in his body. By the third year, he grew over a foot if not more. Now in the mid-twenties, his muscles are proportionate to his height. He still has his green curls but they’re shorter with an undercut now. His green eyes are still very round and big while his freckles are still prominent on his cheeks.

Honestly, it’s insane how much he’s changed physically. Izuku Midoriya is a man now. A deep voiced man that is so shy around you. Deep inside, he’s still a little nerd.

“My pleasure Izuku.” He turns beat red at the sound of his first name. After all this time he’s still blushing from it. You’ve never been one to call others by their last name. Hell, the teachers at U.A. don’t even get that treatment. You’ll never forget Shouta’s face whenever you called him that. His hair stood up and eyes glowed red and not by his quirk.

Though nothing could top Izuku’s reaction. Steam came out of his ears so much that you thought his poor head would pop off. “T-t-tanks-I mean thanks!”

Not giving up the chance to mess with him, you press it. “Well, how could it not be my pleasure to fly the number one hero.” You tease. Izuku wants to cover his face so badly.

Without the need of a mind reading quirk, you can hear the ‘You’re a hero, Izuku! You’ve faced tougher than this! You’re a man now, not a kid.’

When he first became a hero, you caught him telling himself that. Ever since then you’ve just known when he was saying it. You can admit that he’s cute. Hell, maybe not cute as much as handsome. He straightens up and stares at you dead on, ready to say something. “ Deku! You’re acting like Mineta, you little-”

“Don’t be mad because you're still on the ‘Pilot’ level, Katsuki. He’s got first name privileges.” You yell over Izuku’s shoulder. “I do?”

“Yep! It’s okay, Izuku.” You squeeze his callous, large hand. “Go on sit down. This is a safety hazard.”

“It is?!” Mina asks. “ Yes, it is miss . You’d know this if y’all listened!” It isn’t anymore at least. Not since you’ve taken off and have been in the air for a while. It's an innocent lie to get them to calm down.

You take off back to the cockpit, pushing back the red curtains for just a moment. Teenage you didn’t think about a door, okay? So the curtains stay for now.

Deciding not to check if Betty is on track, you instead lean back and enjoy the ride. Betty is on autopilot anyway. Nothing is going to go wrong.

With the singing and laughing in the back, the quiet sound of your own song, you don’t realize that this is the last bit of happiness and that you should have been more observant of your surroundings.

Suddenly, the sky is flushed with a dark blue that morphs into a stormy grey. Clouds are fluffy and reveal some streaks of light in their creases. There hasn’t been any noise yet. Nevertheless, the image itself is telling. There is a deep, eerie feeling in the pit of your stomach.

“Thunderstorm? There were no reports today...”

Before the ride, you checked everything to see how the air would be. Nothing showed that this should be happening. It was forecast that it would be a mild day. However, random storms can occur. Nothing is ever set.

Mina’s shouting is the clearest of them all. “What’s wrong with the plane!”

The turbulence is always scary for passengers. You grab the speaker and say beautiful words. “Please shut up. It's just a thunderstorm.”

“Are we going to die?!” You roll your eyes. Turbulence is scary but not concerning. It happens all the time.

“Denki, please shut up. No one is going to die. It's just a storm. We've been through worse.” You hang up the mic and continue on. It is weird that this happened so suddenly. There wasn’t any indication either. It was just a sudden darkness that washed against the sky after what seemed like a wave of blue. It kind of reminded you of an actual ocean wave.

“It’s fine. Nothing you haven’t been through before, (Y/n).”

Minutes pass with ease and only the slightest turbulence. Jay has been suspiciously quiet for a while. “Probably asleep, knowing him.”

Poking him, you call him. “Jay, how’d you expect to get to this level if you’re sleeping?”

He’s turned away from you. All you can see is the back of his head and the collar of his jacket high up on his neck, close to his cheeks. Pushing him now, you see him clearly when his face turns to you. His face has a tinge of blue and it’s swollen.

You scream at the top of your lungs.

“Jay? Jay?! Jay!” You shake him. What the hell is going on?! He was just fine minutes ago! You continue to shake him and call his name. It takes a moment for everything to dawn on you. The coldness of his skin finally wakes you up. It all starts to make sense. The peanuts, the silence, the equipment, the storm, all of it. You look at the screens again. No fucking wonder, it's because you’re off course. Jay was never sleeping. As he was suffering at some point, he must have messed with the controls on accident when you weren’t here.

He isn’t sleeping. Jay is swollen and blue and has crusted tears. Calling and crying his name isn’t waking him up. He’s not breathing.

His seatbelt is off at the worst time. A particularly strong turbulence interrupts your cries for your friend. The bounce of the plane is so strong that it moves his body on top of the dash. Tears stream down your face.

“Jay, I love you. But move your dead body!”

You push him off to control the plane again. Again, a blue color surrounds the sky that doesn’t look natural. It looks like a light almost. “Pilot? What’s going on?”

Izuku rushes to you only to see you crying, trying to get control of the plane and Jay on the ground, motionless.

“I didn’t even know. He had a check up! I-he pushed-he's cold! Check on him, please! ”

This can’t be happening. For some reason, the plane isn’t cooperating. In all of your experience, nothing like this has ever happened. The plane is refusing to steer correctly. Checking your equipment, you can see from your end that everything is fine. As a pilot, you need to take responsibility, yes. You shouldn’t have been negligent. But, at this moment, it feels as if the plane is being pulled down.

Izuku doesn’t know what’s happening here, but what is so painfully obvious is that the plane is about to crash. No matter how much you try to lift it, Betty refuses to raise up.

How could this have happened? How? Jay doesn’t have a peanut allergy! He had a check up recently and ate peanuts all the time before. It had been a while, but honey roasted was his favorite! Maybe it’s not peanuts? It could have been anything, right?

You killed him.

What else could have done him in?

Jay, Jay, Jay! He's so cold too. You are the one who bought the peanuts. You watched him eat them. You are the one who wasn't paying attention.

“Izuku, go sit down!”

“I can’t, (Y/n).” Before questioning why, he leans in and says, “My danger sense is going off.”

There’s a flash of lightning and the rain is pouring so hard it’s pounding. The lights are going crazy as the plane continues to bounce from the strange force and your will to control it.

Deep inside of your gut you feel it too. The plane dodges the strikes of lightning. Usually, you’d be able to navigate a storm and planes wouldn’t have to worry about dodging. However, this storm is drastically different. It’s not natural, you can feel it. Can Izuku?

“Obviously! We’re going down! Just try to sit your ass down.”

Finally, you see a small strip of land, an island. You could try to continue to fly through this or land until it gets better. Another wash of blue comes for the plane right as lightning strikes brightly. Your head begins to hurt, you feel dizzy and confused. A sharp chill runs up your spine and makes your hair stand up. For some reason your eyes can’t seem to focus on anything.

You push the special landing gear. Izuku wraps his large body around you, purely on instinct. Stretching your arm to push one more button and the yoke, you somehow, among all the chaos and heartbreak, are actually managing to land the plane.

The plane dives as you say, and the blessed features come out in time. Along with the average plane safety features, you installed a soft pad that lightens the plane before impact and if need be, floats in water. A parachute deploys and sends a bright flare into the sky. Cushions envelope the passengers to brace for impact. All these features were put in when you were a teen. They were random and some were based on heroes. Power Loader would roll his eyes at it until he saw it work when All For One and Shigaraki tried to take it down. Every passenger on board was completely safe.

After that, no one ever made fun of Betty. Funny how far you and Betty have fallen. Literally.

Strong arms tighten around you, Izuku pushes himself in front of you. With one last effort, you stretch your hand higher. “Iz-uku! One more .”

Screaming, your finger finally presses the button for nearby pilots, authorities, and radios for help. There is a good chance that it won't work. Nevertheless, Betty was going down by this mysterious storm and you can swear that there’s something pulling her down.

You wake up first. By the time that happens, the sun is shining brightly, and the heat is horrible. Tremendously sweating, it gets worse when Izuku becomes a boa constrictor and squeezes you. Your face smashes into his chest. “Izuku, please...” You gasp.

Moving slightly, your mouth comes to face his neck. Heavily breathing, you bite his neck. He wakes up with a hiss. “W-what?”

“Wake up, please.” A whisper is enough to make him alert. Izuku pops up and looks around. Somehow, he’s completely intact despite using himself as a cushion for you. His green eyes study you. His hands roam over your body to look for any wounds.

“Are you okay? Can you see me?” You nod and prop yourself up. “Slow down, slow down, Pilot.”

Groaning, you tell him you’re alright but you’re not sure about everyone else. “A cushion should’ve deployed. We have to go check though.”

As Izuku holds you up, Jay’s body lay behind him. “Huh?” Izuku looks behind him.

“What?” You try to see what he is staring at, but Izuku shuts that down.

“Sh, sh, don’t look. Don’t look.” Izuku holds your face towards him and leads you away. Your eyes burn and lip wobbles. It’s a surprise when lips touch your head.

You don’t even think about that. Who cares? Jay is gone. Betty crashed. The passengers may be gone for all that’s known. Where are you? The course was set, and the sky was clear. No storm came up on your reports and equipment. Not even a hint of a formation.

Jay, oh Jay. What did you do?

Why are you blaming him, you who bought the peanuts? You who didn’t check on him. Some friend you are. You killed him. You should’ve known what was happening. You swallow hard at the nausea. You whisper so quietly, Izuku doesn’t hear you. “God help me...” Help Jay, help everyone.

Everyone is safe, as far as you can see. The cushions on their chairs safely encased them. The seatbelts are wrapped around their body. You give a sigh of relief that there isn't a gory sight.

Walking to the first aid kit, you get the scanner that checks not only their temperature, but also any wounds they may carry. It is something Recovery Girl gave you when you helped at U.A.’s fortress all those years ago. You press it to Koda’s forehead then bring it down.

“97, sore throat?” That never happens with Koda. As long as you have known him, he has always made sure to care for his throat. Hell, Momo relishes that he comes to her for tea and honey. Then again, the sore throat could have been from him screaming, if he even did.

The news that he was generally okay feels like a heavy weight’s been lifted. That news alone is not able to completely release the guilt and heartache, however. There is still so much that needs to be done, to be figured out, to be buried.

“Katsuki, 98, no injuries.”

His usual, if you remember, is at least 105 or so. It always ranged whenever he used his quirk recently. That tends to happen for all of those who have fire-based quirks. Out of curiosity, you press your finger to his palm. The callous skin is cooler than it usually is. In fact, his hands are completely dry as well. There is not a hint of moisture.

You go through all of them except Shouto, whose eyes have opened. He rubs the back of his head and looks around confused. Each seemed relatively normal and with little to no injuries. The oddities are how their usual care is opposite, like how Koda’s throat is sore and how Katsuki’s palms are cooled down.

At least they’re okay.

This whole thing is surreal. Nothing about what happened makes sense given how sudden it was and yet, everything is okay. Almost as if it never happened. Like the rush of a blue hue wasn’t there or the feel of the pull was imaginary.

“Izuku, face me.” He reads at a normal temperature with only a few bruises and exhaustion. “Did you check yourself?”

“I’m fine. Isn’t it weird that everything is okay? And they’re reading the opposite of what they usually are?”

“It could be faulty. You still need to be checked at least.”

“Even though it’s faulty?” Izuku rolls his eyes and reaches for the device.

Steps are heard then. “Here, I'll do it.” A barely cool right hand presses the device at your head. Shouto used to help with Recovery Girl with you when U.A. was a fortress. He felt that it was his duty because of the destruction Dabi caused. With you being in the support course, you had also taken up a few tips and tricks with Recovery Girl. Following her around and learning led you to be a big help during the wars and the fortress.

You taught Shouto everything he knows. Does he remember it? Probably not, the spacey brat.

“A mild concussion.” Well damn. “Are you sure, Shouto?”

Izuku looks at the device too. “We have to sit her down.” Izuku agrees and helps you sit at one of the passenger seats. “I’m so sorry, Pilot. I should’ve done better,” You pet his hand that rests on your shoulder.

“Watch her while I go check everything out.” He reluctantly leaves but knows you are safe in Shouto’s hands.

You take the device and move Shouto’s hair so you can place it directly on Shouto’s forehead. “I need two.”

“I know, this is just to check something. 98.” You place it on both sides of his forehead, only to get the same results.

This is off. Usually, a fire based user will run warm and an ice user runs cold. In Shouto’s case, if he hasn’t used his quirk and is fine, the device should read ERR. It is normal to have to put two scanners on his head just to read what his temperatures are in case he isn’t alright. You remember the first time having to do a little math on him when he became sick.

Never has he ever been a normal human temperature. “I could just be off, Y/n.”

“Or the device is? It's hot out, so Katsuki's palms should be sweating a ton. And shouldn't we all be a little warmer because of the heat? But none of that is happening.”

He shakes his head. “I don’t think so. It's right about you. You don't look too good.” He grabs it from you and tosses it to another chair. You put your head in your hands.

“Nothing feels real.” He rubs your arms. He’s always been very comforting and awkward. “What happened?”

It takes a few moments to remember everything, which you feel isn’t much. He nods as you tell of the random storm and how Jay is dead. “I feel like there’s more, though.”

“Well, the injury is minor. You'll be better in a day at most."

Aggravated noises come from behind Shouto. “What the fuck just happened?!”

Katsuki walks towards his friend (who he still won’t admit is his friend). “Where the hell is she!”

“I’m here, Katsuki.” Shouto stands when you give yourself away. “What the hell is going on? What the fuck did you do?”

“It was an accident.” Katsuki gets into Shouto’s face. “Yeah? By whose account? I know you can’t believe her.”

You understand he’s scared. It’s expected. But to think you’d endanger them on purpose is hurtful. Shouto defends you every step of the way. “Ask Midoriya then if you don’t believe. He was with her.”

The blond leaves with heavy stomping. “Deku!”

Shouto squats in front of you. “It’s going to be okay, Pilot.”

“I don’t understand this at all.” You truly don’t. And neither does Shouto, you think.

No more than an hour later, everyone is up and outside. The heat is slowly becoming worse, and the air is too dry. The sand is doing nothing to help. The waves carry on in the background, doing little to overpower the loud complaints from everyone.

Mina is screaming that she can’t use her quirk. Eijrou can barely harden, Katsuki gives the saddest explosions that cause him pain, Koda can only get a bird’s attention, this is the same trend for everyone. What is worse is that Izuku can only feel the embers of One For All and gave you a hurt expression when discovered. As if you had taken it from him.

Painful, absolutely painful.

As the sun beats down on everyone, you swear you can see a sheer blue tint around you. It graces ever so slightly on their skin. The same color lays all around you. The ground, the abundant trees, Betty, even the waves as much as you can tell. You want to voice your thoughts, but the situation at hand doesn’t call for it.

The heroes start to calm down. Momo, as usual, begins to plan for shelter from the heat. Koda and Eijrou immediately run around for anything of use. It isn’t until Mina asks a question does everybody stop.

“Where’s Jay?” Mina asks. As the hour passed, your head began to get better. You inform everyone of a much clearer picture than you had told Shouto. How you found him, how the dash acted off, everything.

Mina gasps. “Are you sure?”

“Positive. His face was swollen and his body was blue when I got there. It must’ve been the peanuts! What else could it have been, y’know? He was completely fine when I left for the bathroom.” You sniffle.

“Allergies can develop at any age. Even later in life so it’s not impossible, Pilot.” Denki reassures. You rub your face with your hands. Katsuki leaves to go into the plane’s controls to check on him. “There’s always hope, you know.” Eijrou says as he rubs your shoulder.

“It doesn’t feel real. None of it does. How could this have happened? He just had a checkup. Everything was on the up and up. How did this happen?"

“It never does feel right. There is never a good answer, either.” You nod and lean into the touch of the large red headed man.

“Huh, what’d she say about Jay?” Katsuki calls. You yell back your answer, completely confused. Suddenly, he appears with Jay. Jay, who doesn’t look at all as you described. Gasping, you run to him. Instead, he...looks normal.

Completely fine. Inside you is a delicate flower of hope blooms. Did you see wrong? Is he just sleeping? Could it have been a horrifying illusion?

“Oh my God. Jay? Jay!” Katsuki holds him out. You lightly tap his face. Abandoning the taps, you go on to slight shakes.

Your friend is still dead as a cold doorknob. The flower that tried to blossom is crushed to dust, as if Tomura himself had reached his hand and touched your chest. “What really happened, L/n.”

L/n. He hasn’t called you that since your first meeting when you were fifteen. As they study Jay, everyone gets increasingly confused.

He repeats his question as a whisper that only you two hear. “I swear-”

Katsuki Bakugou doesn’t believe you.

“I-I swear, okay? Izuku can testify that I'm not lying. Jay was swollen and everything. The swelling must’ve gone down.”

“And the color?” His face is still accusatory. “I don’t know, I don’t know! I can’t think of anything else that would cause it.” Tsu puts her finger on her chin. “Is that possible? If that’s the case, then maybe it fumes that killed him?”

“What fumes,” Shouto comes to look at Jay. “Can cause this?”

You shrug. “I didn’t smell any.”

“But if he was blue, can people become unblue?” Denki squints as he inspects your friend’s body. “How’d he die, (Y/n)?” Katsuki asks for the last time.

The last time for all of them.

And that’s terrifying being among heroes.

“They’re supposed to be here by now.” Shouta Aizawa leans back in his chair with a beer in his hand. Going to the island for vacation wasn’t his idea or something he was looking forward to, but damn is he glad he went. With the beautiful sandy floor, the fresh breeze and beautiful waves, all of it is gorgeous. The lagoon to his right where his colleagues frolic around to the sky where the birds roam free.

Paradise.

Tenya rubs sunscreen on his arms. “Sensei?” He asks as he puts out the lotion towards the hero. “I’m not your teacher anymore, kid.”

His old class have grown tremendously. Iida, or should he say, Ingenium, is one of the most in demand heroes. His speed is unrivaled even by One For All. Iida has grown to save all of those in his path, making not only his old teacher proud but his brother as well.

Iida’s still a stick in the mud though. And he still does those robot hands for some reason.

“Haha, I know. At least officially you aren’t. But trust, Aizawa-sensei, we’ll always see you that way.”

Rolling his eye, he takes the bottle from the former class president. It is seconds later that Hitoshi, who Shouta can consider his own protégé, comes up to them and informs them that they have lost contact with your plane a little over an hour ago with a parting message that is nearly impossible to understand due to the static.

Shouta jumps up with a poorly concealed worried look. If you can go down, something is terribly wrong. There is no way a renowned pilot like yourself can crash just randomly.

It must be a villain. There is no other explanation.

“Where’s the radio?”

An MHA x Parahumans Crossover idea

Because I did the same thing for RWBY x Parahumans.

Which members of the MHA cast would each member of the Slaughterhouse 9 try to recruit for their "Try-Outs" the way they did in Brockton Bay?

Hatchet Face: Okay so in canon Hatchet Face doesn't get to make a selection, because he's dead and the others are picking his replacement; also we never got much of an insight into him beyond 'Serial killer vibes' now for the RWBY version of this I picked Tyrian for matching vibes and there is a very straightforward obvioucs answer here, but you'll see I saved that for later. The least important member of the nine can pick a minor character so: Moonfish, the guy with the teeth

Mannequin: For someone whose whole modus operandi is to find Tinker class Capes who are trying to make the world a better place and break them there really is only one option in the MHA cast and that is Mei Hatsume.....Try not to think about the fact that Mei's Quirk is related to her vision and not her genius and so there's an easy but symbolic way for her to pass Mannequin's challenge of "Change yourself"

Crawler: Crawler's nominations are a unique thing, he doesn't nominate people with any intention of the actually surviving and joining the Nine, all he wants is the strongest possible opponents to fight so that he can keep on evolving and that makes things simple; I considered Deku, Shiggy and Allmight but really, the best possible challenge for Crawler would be All For One, something that gives him a chance to evolve to fight multiple different threats at once.

Bonesaw: Easiet possible answer: Dr Kyudai Garaki/Daruma Ujiko, the Nomu scientist; of course Bonesaw wants a grumpy grandpa mad-scientist to join the family.

Burnscar: Okay so hear me out, in canon Burnscar forewent her opportunity to nominate in order to visit someone she was in the Parahuman Asylum with; so I think that yet again she'd forego her chance in order to basically veto someone else from being nominated. In this instance I'm gonna go with the idea that she saw Shoto's burned face and selected him/the Todoroki family as off limits for the rest of the Nine....Also because when she's not in serial killer mode she's a weeb and a dork and the idea of her being awkward as fuck but thinking that this is clearly the start of a romance is amusing to me.

Shatterbird: She takes fighters and cold blooded killers, or people she can mould into cold blooded kilers....I like the idea that she was weighing up several options, maybe Endeavour, maybe Mirko, maybe Lady Nagant but then she heard about Katsuki Bakugo; a promising young hero who has already proven his abilities, his capacity for violence and has already been kidnapped by one villain team seeking to poach him. Immediately she decides that he's the only possible candidate.

Siberian: In canon he recruited Rachel because she was an outcast who reminded him of his daughter and I honestly considered the idea of taking one of the Heteromorph heroes like Froppy or Mina but then I had to slap myself and realise that Himiko Toga is the obvious choice....Also Toga and Burnscar can be Yandere together.

Cherish: Again, in a situation without Alec Cherish would just pick whoever reminded her most of Alec and initially that was gonna be Todoroki; son of a bastard and clearly the favourite....When Burnscar denied her that I like to think she debated picking someone close to Shoto, like Momo just to be petty, but whilst scoping out UA she found someone whose personality reminded her of Alec; I think she'd nominate Neito Monoma....Granted Shinsou's power is closer to Regent's but Cherish picked her brother to get him killed, I think we all want Monoma dead at least a little.

Jack Slash: Okay this gonna be another 'Cop-out protag vs villain match up' but hear me out....I think Jack would go looking for Stain and be unimpressed in the end, the same way he was with Oni Lee and then start looking for other candidates, if Hatchet Face was dead than I can see him wanting Aizawa as a replacement, if not then maybe LeMillion for the potential and the opportunity to break someone heroic....But, in canon he forewent his chance to nominate in order to have his game with Theo; and I think if anyone's gonna piss him off like that and make him second guess himself and change his plans....It's gonna be Deku, the kid who started with no powers and who even the Hero Killer respects; of course Jack Slash is gonna want to tear him down.

Nah realistically this is how it'd go.

I got alot to say about this so let's go down the line.

First and foremost;

The specific lyrics don't correlate on a comparison front. RWBY never showed Adam the light of day, they killed him, could of easily jailed him, fixed the racism in the world no need for it to be like our own. But the white writers were lazy and then tried to blame it on them being white! When they hired expensive voice actors and yes men all the time!

Second; My hero failed really hard in terms of addressing the prejudice they set at the start of the series. Apparently this was better adressed in the manga but I looked at it and it seems exactly the same there. It's very late that they talk about mutant prejudice and it's in the lense of a back flash where all the characters say it sucks but then never talk about it again. I don't know about you but when me and my friends talk about prejudice and anti POC racism, it's never just one time, we discuss it often.

It was weird to think that certain stores wouldn't let Froppy and Ojiro in cause they're mutated. (Despite a quirk being a mutation for everyone but SURE) You'd think the heroes would have opinions on this. And Izuku has the worst opinion on prejudice. In the later arcs people start not letting mutants into places, not even shelters while villains are roaming around! Deku comes across this giant fox girl that's being attacked by random dudes who claim that because she's walking around looking like that it scared them...scared them into attacking with lethal weapons on an unarmed woman.

Now if this were well written you'd have some form of social commentary, but Horikoshi sucks as a writer and Deku tells the woman who was attacked "I'm sure those guys were scared too." Which is horrible to tell a person attacked based on her appearance but SUUURE! That's def what I want to hear from the HERO PROTAGONIST! Then during the great ninja war they have a bunch of mutants turn towards the only black character in MHA and repeat things like "Don't shoot, we aren't looters, you'll never understand!" like black people don't face racism and prejudices....ever!

Quirks are still relatively new to the world, they didn't exist forever, it's not uncommon for your grandparents to be quirkless so it's not like mutants have faced decades of racial segregation (And that's not me brushing aside their suffering but having them turn to a black person and say 'you won't understand' is ...tone deaf.) And not to mention the only villain Spinner fighting for mutant equality by trying to take down the system, gets stopped by Shoji, a character who didn't get to BE one until he had to step in to fight another mutant- then him telling spinner "You're gonna set us back 40 years!" Is so silly and funny coming from a character the narrative didn't want to give and growth to till he had to fight his own people so they can stay marginalized I guess.

MHA has the same issue as RWBY where the narrative and writers think that second class citizens should sit on their hands and just *Wait* till racist and republicans want to give us equality, then, we'll earn in.

Series like these embarrass me, especially when people compare them too X-men cause neither of these shows have a dark skinned poc even in the main roster- Ororo, STOMPS on your all pale skinned cast of fictional races and people with tails who don't get to do crap. That series at least addresses the sigma, the prejudice, the unfairness and people get to be angry and tell off racist.

MHA and RWBY? They'd so much as FAINT if they had to talk about racial and societal issues.

Part 7.

10pm——

When Dynamight takes you home, you have nothing to do and turn on your phone. You click on the news channel and an emergency arises. You turned voice up loud enough for Dynamight to hear.

News report: In a department store in the city center, a citizen went berserk due to Quirks, leaving several citizens trapped inside and unable to escape. Please call nearby heroes to rush to the scene immediately.

"Hedgehog!" you said to Dynamight.

"Hold on tight, speed up!" Dynamight drove quickly towards the scene.

Dynamight's phone rang, the screen displayed Damn Nerd, also known as Deku. Calling at this time means that is also here to notify you. Dynamight hands his phone to you.

"Pick it up for me." Dynamight focused on driving.

"Okay!" You get through Deku's contact.

"Kacchan! Me, Todoroki and Hawks are rushing to the scene! How are you doing there!" Deku asked.

"Deku! We're on our way now!" you said.

"Wind Breaker! Okay then! See you later!" Deku hung up the phone.

"Neh, Hedgehog... I have an ominous feeling. I heard news reports that ordinary citizens Quirks went berserk." You looked at your phone feeling worried.

"Listen up, save people first. Let's think about that rampaging guy later. If he goes rampaging and attacks us, then we can only discuss the matter." Dynamight said calmly.

"Got it." You slapped your cheek to stay awake.

"Remember what I said, don't forget it." Dynamight smiled.

"Put away that unconfident face, right?" You said confidently.

The scene of the incident——

Hawks flies at high altitude to observe the surrounding situation. Shoto builds a wall of ice around the department store. Deku was comforting the citizens who had escaped from the scene.

When you and Dynamight arrived at the scene, you quickly ran to see what was going on in the department store. You can see from the outside that although it has not completely collapsed, it is already in a power outage state.

Hawks landed in front of Dynamight and explained the situation. Hawks uses his fierce wings to sneak into the department store to make sure there are still people who haven't escaped yet. It contains rampaging citizens.

Deku and Shoto hurriedly gathered after seeing Dynamight arrive. This is the first time you see Top 3 discussing plans together. Someone poked your shoulder at this moment, and you turned around to see it was Froppy and Uravity!

"Kero, hello." Froppy greeted.

"You guys are here too." Uravity said with a smile.

Rainy Season Hero: Froppy. Name Asui Tsuyu. Quirk is a frog. A hero who looks a bit like a frog.

Zero Gravity Hero: Uravity. Name Uraraka Ochako. Quirk is Zero Gravity. A cute-looking hero who uses zero gravity.

Froppy and Uravity were classmates and friends of Top 3. A comrade who fought together in U.A., and now appearing as a professional hero.

"Hello, Froppy, Uravity." You bowed politely.

"Just call me Tsuyu chan." Froppy said.

"Hey, you guys are here too." Shoto said.

"Hello! Deku! Todoroki! Bakugou! Hawks" Uravity greeted warmly.

"Now is not the time to be nostalgic, show me the situation! Idiot!" Dynamight yelled.

"Bakugou chan is still as bad-tempered as usual" Froppy complained.

"Hahahaha, No.1's personality. But he's right, now is not the time to be nostalgic." Hawks said seriously.

"I have contacted the police and other rescue heroes and are on standby," Deku said.

"Listen up! Now we have to go inside for rescue! Divide into two groups! Group A focuses on the rescue! Group B also finds the rampaging citizen during the rescue and captures him! Do you understand?" Dynamight ordered.

"Yes!" you replied.

Rescue Group A: Deku/Uravity/Shoto/Wind Breaker

Raid Group B: Dynamight/Hawks/Froppy

Deku asked the police for a road map of the department store, and he analyzed the internal structure for you. This department store has a total of ten floors including the basement. The 4th to 10th floors are shopping malls and the 1st to 3rd floors are underground parking lots.

Police used drones to detect seven citizens trapped inside. There are 3 in the parking lot and 4 in the shopping mall. One of these seven people was the rampaging citizen.

Now there is a contradictory problem: citizens are on different floors, and there is a high possibility that need to disperse. Although rescuing citizens is a priority, you are still worried about whether the rampaging citizen will attack a harmless person.

Group A and Group B analyze their Quirks plans and start taking action after 5 minutes. The command captains are Deku for Team A and Dynamight for Team B.

Take these 5 minutes to warm up and refresh yourself. Although there are professional heroes leading you now, you still have to figure out what you should do. Effective countermeasures must be taken to ensure that no one is injured.

"Wind, relax. I'll back you up if anything happens." Shoto put his hand on your shoulder and said.

"You saw through it." You chuckled.

"Wind Breaker can form a protective layer from the wind. Once something falls, it's up to you to defend it." Deku said.

"Don't be nervous! We will support each other if anything goes wrong." Uravity encourages you.

"Okay! Please give me your advice." You bow.

What caught your eye was Dynamight pulling Shoto aside as if he was talking about something because both of them had serious expressions on their faces.

"Half and half bastard, keep an eye on her." Dynamight said.

"Is this the tone of asking for help?" Shoto asked doubtfully.

"Fuck you!" Dynamight roared.

"I know." Shoto returned to your side.

"No.1, if you're worried about her, why don't you put her in Group B?" Hawks asked.

"My mission is to rescue the citizens and take down the rampaging guy. That's all." Dynamight said calmly.

"Is Wind Breaker a friend of Bakugou chan?" Froppy wondered.

"Froppy, let me tell you, they are better than friends." Hawks said quietly.

"Are you really going to turn into a roast chicken?" Dynamight was annoyed.

You put on your hero suit and stretch on the spot to keep your body in a stable state. The time is coming and everyone is starting to pay attention. When you look at Dynamight, he looks at you too, and you give him a victory sign.

When he made sure no one was looking, he made the same gesture to you. You stared at him with wide eyes. The famous Dynamight actually knew humor.

You were suppressing a laugh and Uravity saw you. Dynamight put his hands in his pockets and pretended that nothing happened. He saw that you were suppressing laughter and he was also trying not to laugh.

"Are you okay?" Uravity is worried about you.

"I'm fine! Really!" You explained in a panic.

"Time's up! All hands on deck!" Dynamight shouted, raising his fists.

"Plus Ultra!" everyone shouted.

After everyone entered the department store, Group A and Group B dispersed. Group A started searching from the 4th floor, while Group B started from the 1st basement floor. The current situation in the mall resulted in a power outage, so you took out your flashlight and looked around.

"It's darker than I thought." Deku said.

"Try not to get separated. If there is a power outage, you don't know what will happen suddenly." Shoto said.

"Ghost?!" Uravity was surprised.

"Maybe it's Dynamight's grimace." You said with a smile.

"That's really scary..." Shoto said.

"Fortunately we acted separately from Kacchan, otherwise we would have been blown away by him." Deku said with a smile.

"All three of us have experienced it." Uravity said.

"It's hard for you. If there is a Chargebolt, maybe the power can be turned on." You said.

You didn't hear any movement on the fourth floor, but you saw a dark figure running away. You shine your flashlight in that direction but there's nothing there. Is it really the ghost that Uravity said?

"Ummm, Wind...why are you so close to me?" Shoto poked you.

"Eh?! I'm sorry! I saw something strange but I didn't see it." You explained in a panic.

"Where?" Shoto looked in your direction.

"Shoto, are we alone here now?" you asked.

"What are you talking about...? Wait, where are Deku and Uravity?" Shoto asked.

"Lost? But here are all straight roads with no turns...Wait! Could it be!" You and Shoto noticed something was wrong.

You and Shoto were separated from the other two unknowingly. Maybe this is Quirks. You shine a flashlight nearby and see an unexplained number.

"Shoto, we started searching from the 4th floor, right?" You were nervous.

"Yes, it's trickier than I thought..." Shoto looked at the direction of your flashlight.

You started on the 4th floor, but now you see that you are on the 8th floor. You swallow your saliva and touch the number plate. It is indeed the number on the 8th floor. You sensed something was wrong and immediately called Shoto but no one responded.

"Shit! It's Quirks causing trouble!" you said in a panic.

You felt the space flash for a moment, and you squatted down covering your head. After the flash, you realize that there was a vase in front of you, but now it has disappeared. You turned around and looked at the number plate which read "10th floor".

"It's the Quirks who are spatially transferring... It's trickier than imagined. Maybe we're already trapped inside." You said to yourself calmly.

Rescue is no longer possible! We must find the rampaging citizen and stop him. Otherwise, not only the citizens but also the heroes would be trapped here.

"Hey, hey, hey? Can anyone hear you?" Your earpieces make noise.

"I heard you!" you reply.

"..." No one responded to you.

"Damn it, the communication has been disconnected?" you said.

You release the protective layer of wind to protect yourself and calm down before moving on. Now can only think of ways to act on your own. Hope everyone else is okay. But...it's really scary and feels like a ghost.

Everyone seems to have noticed something is wrong...

"No.1, I just connected to the communication but the sound can't seem to be transmitted. Eh? No.1? Froppy?" Hawks turned around and looked around to see if there was no one around.

"Wind? Where are you? How could you disappear suddenly? Is it really ghost?" Shoto said seriously.

"Deku? Todoroki? Wind Breaker? Whoever is around call me back!" Uravity yelled.

"Bakugou chan? Hawks chan? Why did suddenly disappear?" Froppy wondered.

"Where is everyone!? If anyone heard me, call me back!" Deku shouted.

"Damn it! That guy! I must beat him up!" Dynamight shouted.

You at this time...

"I hope there won't be any ghosts~" You clasped your hands together and prayed.

You walked to the escalator and thought you could use it to go downstairs! You use your flashlight to shine ahead and walk slowly step by step. You were on the 10th floor just now, but now you look at the 9th floor. It means the space has not been refreshed yet.

You are now looking for an escalator nearby that can take you downstairs. Suddenly you hear footsteps, look in that direction and it's Uravity!

"Uravity! Are you okay!" You ran.

"I'm fine! Wind Breaker, you have..." Uravity disappears in front of you.

Just flashed! It means that he has refreshed the space! You look for the number plate and see that you are back on the 4th floor where you started. It's like a shuffling process, random timing.

"What should we do... This will be endless." You are thinking about strategy.

Floor….Space….Number…..

You're stomping on the spot, things are trickier than you thought! It’s even harder to tell when there’s no sound nearby! It’s just like trying to beat the wall! etc!

Now you are on the 4th floor, which is the entrance you came in from. What if we go in the opposite direction now? You were following Shoto at first, why don't you change the direction now and see which floor you will be sent to?

"4, 8, 10, 9, 4..." you muttered to yourself.

"Who is there!" Someone shines a flashlight on you.

"It's so dazzling!" You covered your eyes.

You glanced at it and it was Deku, who immediately removed the light. When you were about to run, you remembered that you were transferred just as you moved. Although it was just a guess you shouted to Deku to tell him to stay still.

"Deku, let me ask you, have you come all this way?" you asked.

"Yes...do you think the same as me?" Deku asked you seriously.

"Maybe he sensed someone moving and moved the person to another floor." You said.

"Maybe Quirks just awakened, but the user himself teleported to other floors for no reason, causing chaos and getting out of control." Deku guessed.

"We stood still for about 2 minutes, but we were not moved..." You analyze the time.

"Just like you said." Deku said.

"What should I do..." You started to have a headache.

"Which floor were you transferred to?" Deku asked.

"4, 8, 10, 9, now it's 4..." you said.

"I was 4, 6, 7, 10, and now it's 4. Maybe if two people move in a space, the flash and then transfer will be triggered." Deku explained.

"It's possible. Shoto disappeared out of thin air when he was next to me. Uravity came to me and disappeared in front of me. So what should we do now? We can't stand still." You said.

"Wind Breaker, you can fly, right? Can you keep flying and moving? If you are not transferred when you fly, you can be sure that you will be transferred if you move." Deku said.

"Okay, let me try." You floated in mid-air and moved.

"Sure enough, it was not transferred." Deku was convinced.

"Then I'll go find someone else now, what will you do?" you said.

"I'll keep moving this time. I'm the only one left here." Deku said.

"Okay, please be safe." You leave.

When you see the escalator going upstairs, you follow the direction and float up. You are currently on the 5th floor. You were not transferred here but came up on your own. You are looking for your companions but there is no trace but you hear a cry coming from the corner.

Your flashlight illuminates a man holding his head and crying. You floated up to him and touched him slightly. He looked at you and you saw that his expression was filled with despair. Maybe he was the rampaging citizen.

Just as you were thinking about what to do, he suddenly grabbed your neck with both hands. A sudden attack leaves you overwhelmed!

"What's wrong with me! Why can't I leave here!" he shouted.

"Wait! Calm down! I'm here to help you!" You try to comfort him.

"Are you a hero? Then rescue me quickly!" he shouted.

"I will get you out! Let me go first!" You patted his hand and tried to break free.

"Hahaha, then let me ask you, why didn't you tell Dynamight directly when he was here just now?" She pointed her dagger at you.

"Your Quirks can turn the sound , right?" you said.

"Yes, The Sound is my Quirks." She tells you.

"I want to make sure you follow me." You smiled sinisterly.

"You're inviting the wolf into the house, hero." She was stamping her feet.

"If I hadn't confirmed your existence, that rampaging citizen would have taken the blame for you." Your vision began to blur and you kept blinking.

"Can't see it, right?" Villain stepped closer.

"The dagger is poisonous, right?" You started to breathe unsteadily.

"You made a mistake! Hero!" She stabbed you in the stomach.

She stabbed the dagger into your abdomen with force, and you fell to the ground, being pinned down by her. The poison invades your body, causing you to suffer even more and lose all your strength.

Your breathing is messed up and the poison is spreading through your body. You feel numbness in your abdomen and thighs.

Seeing Villain in front of you provoking you, you couldn't bear it and grabbed the dagger with your hand to prevent her from breaking free. You took a deep breath gathered your strength, roaring in her face and blowing her away with a gust of wind.

"Villain... you looked down on me, it was your mistake." You stood up.

"Hahaha, you're going to die for saying something like this." She laughs at you.

"Your ability can only target sounds, right?" You asked her with a smile.

"Huh? What do you want to do?" She started to back away.

"You'll see..." you said.

You close your eyes and open your hands, letting the wind gather in your hands. She can adjust her voice, but not destructive power. While you are still conscious, you use all your strength release the storm and penetrate the upstairs.

"Damn! You're crazy!" Villain panicked.

"I'm betting...betting on whether the hero will come..." You fell to the ground after laughing.

The purpose of releasing the storm to penetrate the upstairs is to make nearby heroes aware of your presence. It's also a shortcut that allows them to confirm your location. The position you penetrated happened to be near Deku, and he jumped down from the fourth floor.

"Yes, he just hasn't adapted to the newly awakened Quirks, so he lost control. How about other rescues?" Dynamight asked Uravity.

"Kacchan! Great you're okay!" Deku shouted.

"Damn! Damn Nerd! Who the hell is Kacchan!" Dynamight yelled at Deku.

"What?" Dynamight wondered.

"Shoto take Wind Breaker to the hospital now." Deku said.

"It was her distress signal. She had already fallen to the ground when I arrived. Todoroki had sent her to the hospital, and Tsuyu chan handed Villain over to the police." Deku explained the whole story.

"Fuck! Damn it!" Dynamight punched the wall angrily.

"Dynamight! What are you doing?" Uravity stopped him.

"I didn't do anything! Shut the fuck up! You're making a lot of noise!" Dynamight shouted.

"Now hand the citizens over to the police. Wind Breaker will be fine." Deku put his hand on Dynamight's shoulder to comfort him.
