I would have loved to be around on tumblr when these discussions were going on. The royal garden is indeed quite the mystery, or at least it might appear so at first glance. The problem is that we are all deceived by the willow tree by the main gates.
The location of the garden is in fact not to the right of the gates but rather on the south facade of the outer castle walls.
You son't see this animated in Frozen. Maybe the location just wasn't deemed essential enough to be included in the overhead shots? Here it's just a barren slab of rock:
Tumblr media
But in Frozen II however:
Tumblr media
The little patch of land has sprouted trees and everything! Even though it's not a perfect rendition of the close-up scenes, they at least provide evidence that this is actually the correct location.
First, the base of the tower that houses the gate to the garden is square, not round like the corner towers that flank the main castle gates (and where the famous willow tree can be seen). The top of the wall also sports a roof, something which the wall on the right side of the willow tree doesn't have.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second, you can see the base of the square tower as well as the tall outer castle wall that extends into the harbour on the left side in the concept art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No, there's no obvious sign of Agnarr and Iduna's willow tree in the overhead shots but like with so many other details about Arendelle castle, the small-scale environments often don't match well with the large-scale ones.
All of the above of course also gives us the location of the door leading to the garden seen from "inside" the castle courtyard. It's right behind the chapel at the base of the southern square tower.
Tumblr media
Here are also some bonus scenes from the comic "A mysterious invitation" and the book "Anna finds a friend" that feature the garden.

Doors, doors, doors
@frozen-sunflowersandlilies
Let me explain my thoughts about the door to the willow garden. It is not this door under the yellow A.
Tumblr media
In the next image, "W" is the willow garden. I have redrawn the yellow "A" which is within the courtyard. The door (marked in yellow) under the yellow A cannot lead to the willow garden as there is a whole section of wall between the willow garden and the courtyard. The yellow door is the one through which Elsa passed through, both in F1 to the North mountain and in F2 during Into the Unknown. Her path is in black.
Tumblr media
The next pic (below) shows another view of the castle and the reverse of the yellow door (dotted). The yellow door can't directly be seen here because it opens into a small stone area and the black door is 90 degrees to the yellow door. This black door is the one elsa/anna/Hans passed through in F1 and down the stairs.
Tumblr media
So this pic below shows the willow garden ("W"). Again, it is outside the castle courtyard and separated by a long wall. There is definitely a door that connects the courtyard to this garden, which I have marked the hypothetical location as a yellow rectangle. You can also see the position of the path that Elsa took (black) and how the door under the yellow A is separate from the willow garden door.
Tumblr media
There is definitely evidence of a door to the willow garden in these two pics below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, this is an F2 concept art which shows a very detailed view of the willow garden that isn't in the final movie. This concept garden is much bigger and has a boat and a small dock. In this concept art we can clearly see a door.
Tumblr media
In summary
I hope I have shown that the door under the yellow A is not the door to the willow garden. It is the door that Elsa leaves the castle through. Only the outside of the willow door can be seen but I've not been able to find the courtyard side of this door though I guess its hypothetical location is somewhere here:
Tumblr media
The willow garden itself is terribly inconsistent and full of continuity errors 🥴 it is super detailed in the shots with Anna and barely detailed in others. Oh well, we could say that Anna has an earth magic that she brings with her when she steps into any place? ❤️
Let me know your thoughts and findings!

Remains of an alien civilization underwater…
What if an alien civilization is hidden somewhere under the frozen waters on a theoretically dead planet or moon close to us? According to observations, water may exist on Mars, and the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, probably in the form of ice. There are many more icy planets outside the solar system, and let's remember that life on Earth can develop in extreme conditions

I was exploring The Cut tonight, when I noticed something strange about the lighting fixtures. While most tribes have torches, the Banuk have.. these? I’m not to sure what to call them, if I’m being honest.
Tumblr media
At first, I assumed maybe it was Bluegleam, as the Banuk do value it quite a bit, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was used in the architecture, however I then looked closer, to find that it’s actually made of strands of some kind. While I’m not sure how these specifically glow, I think this may be made of the same cord that Banuk Shamans weave into their skin?
Tumblr media
However I think that these lighting fixtures found specifically in Song’s Edge are made of something different. They’re bigger and smoother, and remind me more of machine wiring than anything else.. So I think while the smaller fixtures utilize the cords Banuk use for body modification, these larger ones may actually be machine parts, specifically tubes used to transport substances like Blaze and Chillwater. And if that’s the case, I can safely say that these ones at least are just that- Tubes from machines, that were molded into a decoration and filled with Chillwater for that soft glow
