Oh you BET we are - in separate bedrooms and everything lol. There is no way we could afford to renovate if we were paying rent on top of a mortgage so TG my parents absorbed us!

So impressed at how much of your renos you’ve managed to do yourselves! How did Ryan come to be so proficient in DIY renos??

We have a contractor! So Ryan is learning a lot from him - we couldn’t afford to hire a crew so he’s just learning from him/YouTube/as he goes. Allegedly it’s not “rocket science” but I don’t understand how anything works lol.

Hi Rosa. How do you manage to find time for leisure activities, such as writing & reading & meetings with friends? With full time work, your new house renovation, wedding planning AND writing stuff for your portfolio it looks like your day consists of at least 48 hours. Do you have some time management advice or something what you find crucial in this? It always looks like I have to choose between all of those (and I’m NOT getting married, nor renovating!)

Honestly having a random person notice my plate has given me a lot of grace today 🥹 so thank you. I can be very unforgiving on myself. In fact, you inspired me to WFH today so I could spend my lunch break organizing my big task buckets and I feel much better now!

I don’t advise anyone to do this, life is too precious to be this busy, I’m not noticing the seasons change, the sun setting, how hot and delicious my coffee is, I’m just on pure task-based robot mode 😩 you DON’T want it all! It’s not natural! I’ve always been very ✨eldest daughter mental illness✨ productive but this is now survival mode.

So my advice is DON’T do everything. Don’t force yourself to be social after a work day. Don’t force yourself to exercise on your lunch break since you can’t make time otherwise, just enjoy life’s softness. I can’t wait to be out of this era!!

Wedding planning is going okay! I’m not giving it enough attention because I have much bigger things going on (👀 one of which I’ll be able to talk about soon ✍🏽) and of course the house that has made me utterly destitute, so I kind of sit between regretting the wedding completely or otherwise being okay with it.
