This is my piece for @fandomtrumpshate. I want to thank Nacho Diablo for bidding on my work. Hope you’ll like it! (Yes, I love the idea of them having tattoos and now I’ll also explain what they say and which is the reason behind each of them.)

Steve’s:

Bucky and the O6 tattoos just over his heart because these are the people who let him continue to fight when he woke up in a world he didn’t recognize anymore.

Fake “bracelet” on the arm: reminds the outer “circle” on his shield.

Black widow’s symbol: a thank you for all the help ad support Nat provided to him since he woke up from the ice.

Red star: another reference to Bucky. The symbol on his Hydra arm, but also a thing they both have in common in their superhero suits.

Till the end of the line: Dedicated to Steve and a reminder that he’s not alone anymore.

Laughing against Morgana’s neck, Gwen shook her head as she pulled back from her to step around and begin helping her sort through all of her purchases. “Did you buy out the whole shop, ‘Gana?”

Sniffing, Morgana shoot her a playful glare, “No. I just wanted to make sure we’d have absolutely everything and anything Amelia would or could need for this.”

Or, Morgana and Gwen get conned into helping their niece with her bake sale.

Chapter Three of The Bargain is up!

Chapter Three:  The Manor

Excerpt:

“Let me be the first to extend my congratulations to the happy couple,” he says jovially, but his light blue eyes remain sharp and cold.

“Peter —” Derek starts, but the man is already grasping Stiles’ hand, bringing Stiles’ fingers to his lips for a kiss.  

“Such a catch,” Peter says.  His mouth lingers close to Stiles’ knuckles, his nostrils flaring as he takes an obvious inhalation of his scent.  “Not just a beauty, but also a spark.”

Although Stiles cannot hear it in his tone, he must be mocking him.  Stiles knows that he is gangly and awkward, moles scattered across his face as if he’s been splattered with mud.  No one has ever accused him of beauty. Humiliation and anger burn in his belly, and he can feel Derek’s eyes on him.

“I would have snapped him up myself,” Peter says as Stiles pulls his hand back, dropping it into his lap and resisting the urge to wipe it with his napkin.  “But, of course, I doubt I could have afforded him.”

Out of the corner of his eye Stiles can see Derek look down, frowning at the reminder.  

Stiles can feel his cheeks color, but he refuses to look away.  He doesn’t know if Peter is attempting to sow discord or is simply enjoying the opportunity to needle Derek, but either way he will not tolerate it.

Mine to protect, he thinks fiercely.

“It is true that this is no love match,” Stiles says, voice ringing out clearly enough for all the assembled ‘wolves to hear.  “But I find myself to be more than satisfied with the arrangement, and I hope over time to prove to my husband that I am as worthy of his love and devotion as he is of mine.”

Derek has lifted his head and is staring at Stiles.  Stiles cannot read his expression, but he takes a chance nonetheless.  He leans in, kissing the cheek closest to him in a chaste brush of his lips.  It is the scarred side, but that does not bother Stiles — after the first few minutes of observing Derek, he has hardly noticed the reddened and twisted skin.

When he pulls back, Derek’s lips are upturned in the smallest of smiles.  He deliberately places an arm along Stiles’ shoulders, leaning in to peck his cheek in return.

“We accept your congratulations wholeheartedly, Peter,” Derek says, his voice as mild as ever.  “And wish you as much fortune in finding your own mate.” He takes Stiles’ hand in his, raising his knuckles to place a kiss directly over Peter’s scent.  “Better late than never, as they say.”

“Why would you offer me a lift?” 

The obvious explanation was unlikely, she told herself. Malfoy wasn't stupid, as such – people would notice if he was the last person seen with her before she was pushed into the Irish Sea. 

“I may need some assistance once we get there.” His eyes wouldn't meet hers, which bizarrely helped convinced her that his offer was earnest.

FTH 2019 Signups are now open!

And we're off! The third -- and, we hope, the biggest and best yet -- year of the Fandom Trumps Hate auction is officially open for signups. Even if you've participated in FTH in prior years, please read our FAQ. We're always trying to learn from past experiences and oversights, so some things have changed from the first (and even the second) year. A few notable changes from last year: 1) We are hosting the auction on Dreamwidth this year. We’ll be cross-posting stuff on tumblr, but DW is going to be our home base. Come visit us in our new nipple-affirming home! 2) Our whole calendar has been pushed back by about a month, relative to the past two years. You can check out this year's full calendar here. 3) We have changed the list of non-profit organizations we are   supporting, as well as the way that creators can identify organizations to support. Please read about it here. Because this year's organizations are all small operations, at least a few of them are likely to be unfamiliar to you. To help everyone get to know these amazing groups a little better, we will be posting about each of them in turn. So watch this space for those introduction posts over the next week or so.

Chapter Two Now Up on Ao3!

When a woman is murdered and the last person to see her alive is recently invalided army vet turned reluctant (and prickly) professional cuddler, John Watson, Sherlock Holmes is pulled into a world of intimacy and intrigue he never could have imagined.  John is a conundrum and mystery: frank yet reserved, tender yet angry, open yet afraid.  Sherlock is instantly drawn into his orbit, and begins to feel and desire things he never has before.

The incomparable @khorazir​ was the top bidder on my Fandom Trumps Hate 2019 Charity Auction offering.  I am so grateful for her generosity and am very much looking forward to writing for her.  She’s been very gracious in somewhat giving me free rain with the story, and so I’m bringing you something I’ve had outlined since 2016, and one I’m super excited to write.  

What you can expect:

Alternate First Meeting.

A wee bit of a case.

Lots of non-sexual intimacy (and eventually some sexual intimacy too).  

Lots of everything you love about these two: repressed emotions, intense sexual tension, a mutual attraction that can’t be denied or resisted.  You get the idea!

Both men learning to open to one another, both emotionally and physically.

Both men dealing with their past hurts and traumas.

A tiny smidgeon of angst.

And the happiest ending you can imagine!
