So they claim he drank so much of that energy drink his “skin turned green”, right, yeah?

And I have. Questions about that! Doubts even!

My thoughts are,, there are. A few different options for what I think actually happened with all that and stuff. So.

1. Given the world they exist in… it might have. It seems to be within reason that if there’s such a thing as abyss sourced ingredients for coffee shop shit in a town full of Cryptids and abnormal humans that there could be an energy drink that can turn you green.

2. The idea that the drink turned him green could have come about after his death! Like, he seems to have kept on broadcasting after his death (hence the “ghost channel” you check out at the start), it seems possible that he might have mentioned “his skin being green” on one of said broadcasts because, well, it is now that he’s a ghost! Or one of those “cryptid sighting” pictures was posted, or a ghost hunter stumbled upon him and started talking about it. So the news stories/people picked it up and now that’s what people believe is true

3. It was entirely made up to sensationalise the news, though they neglected to actually talk about the guy himself apparently.

And then there’s the fourth option my friend suggested which. Well

4. It’s a mix of two and three, with the stories reporting they turned his skin green and Madhouse — his memory muddled as it was by his death — believed it.

tumblr as an overall has been such a wild experience for me over the years.

I made some great friends, both on here and then subsequently irl. I’m so infrequently active on here but it has been a constant and fond source of memories. I started going on tumblr when I was like 22 or so, and I cannot believe the changes in my life, my personality, my views, my morals since then.

Say what you will about it, and I’m sure we all do, but this is one of the few sites where I’ve held that fond warmth even through the good, the bad, and the really fucken ugly.

This place really can be a shithouse, but it’s also a shithome, and I love that.

also it might be a fandom joke but i can 100% believe hockey rpf fucks like a rabid rhino (in terms of quality, not content). and this is because i have the biggest writer crush on this one atz rpf writer who's younger than me (i think?) but has already achieved some real fucking mastery of the craft. their writing is alive, not even as in "wow! relatable!" but simply because it's so rich, detailed and vivid. the writer pays attention to the things i would've never thought of examining, leads their characters through painful but incredibly satisfying development, skillfully maps out their gender, sexuality and mental health issues, and despite having several different aus, the characters are never just repainted cardboard cutouts -- every time they're slightly different, adjusted to the world they're in, but nonetheless recognizable. would this writer be able to write like this in non-rpf fandoms? entirely possible! but i know them from their rpf writing, and finding it was a fucking blessing.
