"Demystifying Web Hosting: A Beginner's Overview"
Embarking on your journey into the digital realm often involves concepts that may seem complex and unfamiliar, and one such concept is fully managed web hosting. As a beginner, understanding the basics of web hosting is crucial for creating and maintaining a website. In this beginner-friendly overview, we'll demystify web hosting, breaking down the key elements and providing a foundation for your online presence.

What is Web Hosting?
At its core, web hosting is a service that allows individuals and organizations to make their websites accessible on the internet. Imagine your website as a house, and web hosting is the land on which that house is built. It provides the necessary space, infrastructure, and technology for your website to exist and be accessible to users worldwide.
Key Components of Web Hosting
**1. Server: The Foundation
At the heart of web hosting is a server, a powerful computer that stores and delivers your website's files to users' browsers. Think of the server as the engine that powers your website, responding to requests and delivering the necessary information for your site to be displayed.
**2. Domain Name: Your Website's Address
Every website has a unique address known as a domain name The domain name is what users type into their browsers to access your site. Web hosting services often provide options to register or connect your domain name to your hosting account.
**3. Bandwidth: Traffic Allowance
Bandwidth refers to the amount of data that can be transferred between your website and users. It impacts the speed and performance of your site. Higher bandwidth allowances are essential for websites with substantial traffic or those featuring multimedia content.
**4. Storage Space: Your Website's Home
Storage space is the amount of disk space allocated to your website on the server. It accommodates your website's files, including images, videos, HTML, and other content. The more storage space you have, the more files and content your website can host.
Types of Web Hosting
1. Shared Hosting: Cost-Effective Entry Point
Shared hosting involves multiple websites sharing resources on the same server. It is a cost-effective option suitable for beginners and smaller websites. However, resource sharing can lead to performance fluctuations during peak times.
2. VPS Hosting: More Control and Resources
Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting provides a dedicated portion of a server with more control and resources than shared hosting. It's a step up in terms of performance and is suitable for growing websites that need additional capabilities.
3. Dedicated Hosting: Maximum Control and Power
Dedicated hosting offers an entire server exclusively for your website. It provides maximum control, performance, and security. Dedicated hosting is ideal for large websites with high traffic and resource-intensive applications.
4. Cloud Hosting: Flexible and Scalable
Cloud hosting utilizes multiple servers working together as a single system. It offers flexibility, scalability, and redundancy. Cloud hosting is suitable for websites with fluctuating traffic and varying resource needs.
How Does Web Hosting Work?
When a user types your domain name into their browser, the browser sends a request to the server where your website is hosted. The server processes this request, retrieves the necessary files, and sends them back to the user's browser, allowing them to view your website.
Choosing the Right Web Hosting
1. Consider Your Website's Needs
Understand your website's size, traffic, and resource requirements. Different hosting types cater to various needs, so choose one that aligns with your specific requirements.
2. Evaluate Features
Consider factors like uptime reliability, speed, scalability, customer support, and security measures when evaluating hosting providers. A reliable provider should offer good performance, customer support, and security features.
3. Budget Considerations
Balance your budget with your hosting needs. While cost is essential, prioritize a hosting plan that offers the necessary features and performance for your website.
4. User-Friendly Interface
Opt for a hosting provider with a user-friendly control panel, making it easy to manage your website's settings and configurations.
Conclusion: Unveiling the Mystery
Web hosting may seem mysterious at first, but it's an integral part of bringing your website to life on the internet. By understanding the key components, types of hosting, and factors to consider, you've taken the first steps in demystifying web hosting. As you embark on your online journey, remember that web hosting is the foundation upon which your digital presence is built.

I pressed the rag to my hand with a shaky inhale, watching as the white fabric turned pink from the cut, unable to stop the tears from spilling over.
This was the worst shift ever.
First I had to come in early to cover the host stand all because Esmeraie was having car troubles and I had a customer scream at me because I wouldn’t seat him and his wife as if I could magically make a table available. Then my very first table of the night ended up being absolutely horrendous. It was so damn busy tonight I’ve been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I didn’t even realize I had cut myself on the plate I’d dropped until Chef pointed it out.
I’ve had no time to even think, Sevenda’s was a high end restaurant known for excellent service and even better food. I usually thrived in high-pressure situations but tonight was another bad night in an awful week and I was reaching my breaking point.
I let out another choked sob, my vision blurring with tears, I was hiding away in the thankfully empty break room. My coworkers had tried to help with the cut but I’d refused, snatching the rag out of Thane’s hand and running out of the kitchen before I started crying in front of them.
God it hurt like a fucking bitch. My hands were starting to shake and I tried to focus on finding a first aid kit but my mind was buzzing with the weight of my emotions, overstimulation setting in and making my breathing hitch my nerves felt like they were on fire.
I let out a painful whimper, digging the rag further into my skin as if it would erase the prickling pain that was seeping down to my bones.
I stayed like that for a few more minutes until the rag turned fully red, trying and failing to breathe only to cry harder. It didn’t help that the sight of my own blood made me lightheaded.
I didn’t even notice the door had opened until someone was standing right in front of me. Rhysand's citrus and sea scent invaded my senses and I tilted my head up to look at him.
Mortification instantly washed over me upon seeing my boss, and I reached my free hand to wipe away the tears. Hopefully I didn’t look too much like a mess. “H-Hi.”
There was a dark look in his gaze as he took me in. “What’s happened?” He demanded, his silky voice making shivers run up my spine. “I’m Fi-Fine.” I stammered out, trying to stabilize my voice but speaking only made more tears burst forward, when I calmed down I was going to strangle myself for appearing like this in front of the freaking owner.
My words seemed to have no effect on him and his large hands gently grabbed my injured one. I instinctively hissed in pain when he removed the rag from my palm. “I’m not gonna hurt you darling, I just need to see what’s going on so I can help you. Is that alright?”
He brushed his thumb soothingly against the uninjured skin of my wrist and I nodded. Biting on the inside of my cheeks to hopefully keep the tears at bay. It was really sweet that he took such good care of his employee’s but guilt slowly crept in, he had been meeting with some of his friends in the back offices.
Before I even had a chance to apologize for ruining someone’s meal and hiding from my tables the door opened again and two familiar men walked in. Rhysand’s brother’s helped him manage the restaurant occasionally. Apparently thing’s must really be crazy because they’ve spent more time here.
“Marissa told us what happened.” Cassian said practically shoving his brother aside to take a look at my hand. I winced at his rough touch and Rhysand shot him a glare. “Be careful.” He snapped under his breath.
Azriel was standing a few paces behind them, that intense stare settled on me and I wasn’t sure the male was even breathing. I could never get a good read on him. “I’m sorry for breaking the-the plate, I’m honestly fine, just need a bandage and I’m good to go.” I hiccuped, wiping my eyes again and taking a shuddering inhale. Doing my best to calm down and look presentable. These were my bosses afterall.
“We don’t care about that.” Rhysand said, softening his tone as he shot me a charming smile that had my insides melting. Cassian’s brows furrowed as he inspected my wound. “She needs a stitch or two.”
As soon as those words left his mouth it’s like someone doused my body in ice water. I snatched my hand from his. “No-No. It’s not that bad.” I spoke fearfully. Cassian stepped in front of me, blocking my view so it was just him and placed a new rag back on my hand, adding gentle pressure. The touch made my toes curl and I immediately banished those thoughts. They just didn’t want me to accidentally pass out, it was already bad enough I broke company property -again- was bleeding on the floor and hadn’t checked in my tables in fifteen minutes. “Really, it’s ok. I have tables. I promise I’ll get back to work- No hospital needed.”
“You will do no such thing.” Rhysand said from my side, his eyes still on my trembling hands. His tone leaves no room for argument. “Don’t worry sweetheart.” Cassian said softly, brushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.
His large muscled chest blocked my view so I didn’t see that Azriel had left the room but he returned with a small briefcase, setting it on the counter beside me and revealed what looks to be a small stash of high-grade medical supplies. I whimpered and stepped away, accidentally pressing myself to Rhysand’s side.
“Y-You are…You’re gonna stitch me up. H-Here?” I squealed out, nausea rolling in my gut. “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.”
“We have numbing tools, it’ll only hurt for a moment I promise. Will you let us take care of you? We can take you to the hospital if you’d prefer. But either way you are not going to be walking around here with an open wound” Azriel finally spoke, that deep voice instantly soothing my nerves.
“Not to be rude…But do you know what you’re doing?” I eyed the small army of supplies suspiciously.
“Yes.” The three brothers shared a look I didn’t fully understand but Cassian looked like I just kicked his puppy and Azriel’s confidence helped me calm down.
“I didn’t know owning a restaurant was such a dangerous profession.” I quipped trying to distract myself.
Rhysand chuckled underneath his breath, making me realize how truly close I was standing to him. I tried to take a step back to at least keep some of my dignity intact but he pulled me even closer, heart spread across my cheeks. “You’d be surprised.”
Well.. That’s true I’d seen Roman with countless bandages, for someone who worked in the kitchen of a high-class restaurant you’d think he’d be better with a knife, he’d only told me it was ‘Part of his charm.’
A hospital scared me even worse, plus I would feel guilty. I nodded my agreement and Cassian lifted my wrist removing the rag. Both him and Azriel started cleaning it and I let out another whimper, black dots dancing in my vision at the sight of my own blood coming out of my body.
Rhysand titled my chin to look at him, those dark blue eyes almost looking violet in this lighting. “Talk to me about something.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know, anything.”
I paused, suddenly all my thoughts emptying when prompted. I opened my mouth to respond but suddenly a sharp burning sensation spread throughout my entire hand and I squealed in pain, pressing my head into Rhysand’s shoulder. He shushed me comfortingly, running a hand up and down my spine in soothing motions until all the pain just…disappeared.
I pulled away to try and look at what they were doing to my hand. But he captured my attention with conversation once again. We talked about me losing my keys, my annoying neighbor playing loud music throughout all hours of the night, then eventually the rude customers at the host stand and the annoying tables I’d had. It was an easy conversation, making me forget all about my cut. Then I realized I was speaking badly about my job to the person who signed off on my paychecks.
God this blood loss was making me lose my damn-minded. The way they were taking care of me softened something inside of me. It made my walls slip and I made stupid mistakes like thinking they liked me or telling my bosses bad things about my job. They were respectful to my coworkers and I tried to force myself to remember I was just an employee.
It did however warm my heart how much they cared about their employee’s well being and I tried to tamper down the jealousy that they might’ve taken care of my coworkers like this as well.
We were extremely well taken care of here. Plus the tips were good which was surprising seeing as everyone knew rich people were monsters -Marisa told me it would be disrespectful to Rhys if they didn’t-. So they obviously had a good reputation for a reason.
So no, I was not going to risk a good job just because Rhys’ voice did things to my insides. That Cassian was making me laugh even as they sutured my hand and Azriel’s touch sent sparks down my spine. I tried to remind myself they were just good employers. Tried to not let it all get to my head
This really was just not my night.
Even if I would replay this moment in my head before I go to sleep every night in utter embarrassment, these were my freaking bosses and they had seen me crying and in pain. Not my best moment.
“Sorry…This is your restaurant. I like my job. Don’t fire me.” I spoke, playing it off with an awkward laugh but Rhysand just gave me another of those dazzling smiles. “Trust me, we’re not going to fire you.”
“All done.” Azriel spoke gruffly and I hadn’t even realized how much time had passed until I was staring at my newly bandaged palm. “Wow…Thank you guys! I truly am sorry about all of this. I promise to be more careful. It won’t happen again. I’ll get back to my tables.”
“You’re not going back to work.” They all spoke at the same time, those dark eyes settling on me until I squirmed slightly. They really were too attractive for their own good. Maybe I really did need to find a new job because god the things I wanted to do to these men was anything but professional.
“It’s a busy Saturday night, I’ve already been avoiding my tables for a long time. Marisa is going to kill me.”
“Wasn’t negotiable Darling.” Rhysand said in that demanding tone again.
“Rhysand, Sir-”
“We’ve talked about this. It’s Rhys.”
“Alright…..Rhys.” I appeased him even if it felt wrong, the nickname tasted unfamiliar on my tongue and way too intimate. “I promise I’m fine. You don’t have to do that.”
I had bills to pay after all, and as if he was reading my mind- “You’ll be reimbursed for the injury.”
I bit my lip anxiously, of course I was excited to go home and rest, maybe catch up on some trashy tv show but I would feel horrible leaving my coworkers all alone on a busy night like this. “Are you sure? If you need me I’m happy to stay, plus the injury was my fault-”
“We’ll see you next in a few days, get some good rest.” It was Azriel who spoke this time.
I nodded, giving them a soft smile. “Ok..well thank you so much guys I really appreciate it.”
After grabbing my things and going over how to take care of my wound with Azriel I left, thanking them again for their help. They really were great bosses.

A few metaphor doodles and screenshots I either forgor or didn't think was worth separate posts. Also some language notes at the end
(the formatting of this post keeps getting screwy, bear with me for a sec)

Probably the first doodle back when I just started the game and the MP resource management was DIRE. Baby needs drugs
Started new game plus, but in Japanese so I can enjoy the puns. There's a few things that are specific to Japanese, like specific visual puns, formal/informal speech and honorifics that are untransferable but not much can be done about that. The English localisation is honestly spectacular. I'll put in a few notes about it after the read more below.
I'm also noticing a lot more little details, like the lines on that pillar is Maria's height chart - the letter that looks like n written on the pillar corresponds to M on the cipher they released with the OST

There are two mice at the inn at the beginning of the game even though I remember there being four by the end. Is it because Maria sees us as family at the end 🥺

Ok on the 2D sprite it's not as obvious but I'm just noticing on the 3D model that the lines under his eyes are eye bags. Are you doing ok buddy
Also, the ppl hunched over in the streets have fully modeled faces

POV: You're a Sanctist guard at the opera house who just watched your mage buddy get beaten to death by teenagers with sticks
Major spoilers below

9/24 lmao
And the two screens that sent me into hysterics at the endgame. Convenient censor bar will ALWAYS be funny
Notes so far on NG+ in Japanese (as of rn, just finished the Regalith Cathedral dungeon):
- Gallica kind of speaks like a kindly babysitter coaxing a child into doing their first tasks. Which is kind of exactly what she is. I've described it to people before as kind of like a children's TV show host? She uses "atchi", which is what really young girls use, or adult women mirroring young girls in children's TV shows use. Since she doesn't otherwise talk like a young girl and uses pretty complex vocabulary, it's much more of a kindergarten teacher vibe.
- Strohl has wildly swinging speech styles towards people he's casual with (Will, Maria, Fabienne), people he respects (exactly one person, Grius), and people he doesn't respect (literally everyone else). It's almost jarring how aggro he is in Japanese, because it just comes off as catty in English. Especially in the beginning when they're in a military setting, imagine if he just added "shithead" after every time he said the word "you" to everyone that's not Will and Grius. He also swears a lot. Like, a lot. Maybe I just didn't notice the first time because while "damn" and "bloody hell" are teeeechnically swears in English they don't register to me. Let Strohl say fuck!
- Grius sounds much more curt and reticent, less expressive.
- flashback Will and Prince doesn't have different accents, Will's voice is about half an octave higher than Prince
- Will has somehow avoided using "I" this whole time. Idk what personal pronouns they use. And unless I've somehow missed it, nobody has used a gendered third person pronoun for them either, everyone always just used the inputted name. Will also doesn't tend to speak in full sentences and trail in and out. Voice wise they sound pretty much exactly the same as in English. Incredible matching
- MORE USES BOKU. That threw me. I was expecting ware (hyperformal) or watashi (neutral). Boku is used by either young boys, or to show deference to someone of a higher age or social standing. More either thinks Will is older (impossible), of a higher social class (interesting), or he doesn't have a high self esteem (most likely).
- Hulkenberg has two modes: formal customer service mode, which is her out of battle mode. Even toned and gentle sounding, not really like English Hulkenberg at all. And then there's HYPERFORMAL BATTLE MODE where she swaps to using "waga" and sounds EXACTLY like English Hulkenberg. I suspect she'll be in this mode more and more as the game goes on. Her Jpn VA also does Yor Forger from Spy x Family, honestly that's perfect casting. Strongest baby guard of all time
- Zorba's voiced by Sugita (p5 yusuke, fe Chrom), so his voice is DEEP. No fun accents, but good evil cackling. Major win for the localization in this case because every English instance of an insult, be it "heathen", "vermin", "blaggard", "knave", "cur" etc was all just 貴様 (you, extremely derogatory) in Japanese. English Hulkenberg and Zorba gets real creative with it, but Strohl less even though he has probably used 貴様 the most out of anybody. They probably ran out of words he'd say after the first 18 times he used it.
- I'm not sure what title Louis has tbh because his followers just call him Louis-sama
- Louis sounds a bit more serious and less mocking but otherwise not much different in text.
- Rella sounded so much like Japanese Fuuka I looked it up and she IS! Welcome back 🤗
- some archetypes are named differently. Not really a big deal tbh. Warrior was Fighter, Mage was Magician, Brawler was Monk, etc. Mostly just to make them sound cooler in English.
- Another major win for the English localization is "horse drawn carnage" was originally just "horse strike".
- "peerless stonecleaver" though, was 断岩無双烈空斬 which, while it is literally what it means, has the vibes of what a kid thinks a cool anime sword move should be called. Idk how to articulate that better in English tbh
- The title for the lineage is written in Japanese kanji but the individual classes are in katakana, usually using loanwords, but even the Japanese titled classes like ninja and samurai are written with kana in classes.
Was also thinking that in English, everyone has British Isles accents except for Will and Gallica, and thinking maybe that was the in-universe Eldan accent? Until getting to the Sanctum and everyone there also had British Isles accents. Then you meet Agrica, who has the same accent. I must be forced to conclude: Will has a FAIRY accent.
I must also be forced to extrapolate: there exists countries outside of Euchronia with Australian, New Zealand, Newfie, Texan, Socal, Mid-Atlantic, Jersey, Cajun, etc, accents. That sounds so fun

Fortpeat Deserve Respect - Thoughts on Recent Events
Admittedly, I have been out of the loop with Fortpeat as of late, so my apologies if I'm not fully clued in on all the nuances. I assume most FP fans will have caught wind of this news. This was brought to my attention via MeMindY's recent public announcement, and Magic Cube have since also issued an apology.
To briefly recap: at FP's recent event 'Magic Snack Party' (8 March), hosted by Magic Cube, a few fans demanded an apology from FP due to alleged grievances and dissatisfaction from the event and others prior. Another group of fans were seeking an apology from the event staff, not FP. Fortpeat were present and apologised at the time.
For context, I am a Chinese speaker and have listened to the audio a few times. A fairly accurate translation is circulating on the internet but I would flag that we don't see which individuals made which comments. Individuals are heard to say 'they' a number of times and it's not absolutely clear in some cases if references are being made to FP, the event staff or both as 'they'.
The main issues I see being raised by the fandom are as follows:
The fans in question acted inappropriately by demanding a personal and private apology from FP.
FP should not have been put in such a position if the complaints or grievances were due to the fault of poor management via event organisers (Magic Cube) or MeMindY, and not misconduct from FP as individuals.
MeMindY have shown a concerning lack of support and protection in acting as FP's agent and facilitator. They have a poor track record in preventing such instances from happening.
I do fear the discourse will get very heated, and I'd like to emphasise that in the audio, there were also fans audibly protesting against this behaviour. Let's please focus on the fact that the instigators were a minority and refrain from any potentially xenophobic comments.
Ultimately, FP were in a really vulnerable position. As the incident mainly involved Chinese-speaking fans, they could only rely on their translator to gauge what was going on. Based on what is generally known of FP's characters as people, it doesn't surprise me that they felt compelled to apologise regardless of whether they were at fault or not. They take their fans very seriously.
A huge degree of responsibility lies with MMY. As their agent, this interaction should have never occurred. They should have acted as the mediator between all involved parties to prevent escalation. One, to protect their artists from any form of intimidation from fans, and two, to maintain a code of conduct amongst the fanbase with due process as to how to raise complaints in a suitable manner.
PARASOCIAL FANS: WHEN ADMIRATION VEERS INTO OWNERSHIP
Sadly, this is yet another example of the underlying risk and side-effect of the BL industry and unhealthy parasocial expectations. With the opportunity to get up close to these artists via a slew of events, promotions, fanmeets, and concerts - inevitably, the fan/artist dynamic can become blurry for some. More so for those who have the finance and means to pay for more exclusive interactions.
One could argue that the BL industry is transactional. The success of these artists rely on fans paying to support and see them. They do a job, they perform a service, fans pay for that entertainment which can eventually harbour a sense of entitlement. What becomes increasingly lost with this mentality is that artists are not being considered as human beings.
I worked in customer service for years and it's a similar story. Customers feel entitled to direct their frustration towards you simply because you represent the goods/services they pay for. The majority of the time the complaints aren't due to anything you've personally done. Yet you are the receiving end of that negativity and aggression.
Now I'd be cautious about making any definitive claims in regards to the fans involved in this particular altercation. For most of us, we weren't present and we are relying on secondhand accounts and just audio to ascertain what happened. As fans, what we can do is our darned best to advocate for better terms and values of respect both within the fandom and to our beloved artists.
AGENT RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY
There have been rumblings for a long time now about MMY's treatment of FP. I don't know too much about the ins or outs in that respect, but I do believe it's in FP's benefit to consider other options. It's likely they feel indebted to MAME and how their first job with MMY skyrocketed them into such popularity. I imagine this makes it very difficult to consider moving on.
Many are requesting for these particular individuals to be blacklisted from attending events again. If this has been a repeated pattern of behaviour, MMY need to issue adequate consequences. It may even be sensible for agents/companies to have some form of legal code of conduct that fans have to sign before any 1-2-1 or face-to-face activities, so if any violation of these terms do occur, then due action can immediately be taken.
It's worth highlighting that event organisers do also have a duty of care and safety to fans attending (many of which could be travelling long distances or don't speak the local language). Therefore the responsibility is twofold - both to the artists and the fans - to manage that dynamic robustly. I don't want us to overlook any poor handling and mistreatment that the fans with genuine complaints may have been attempting to raise to the organisers.
After all, it's often the agents and event organisers who get the biggest cut of the profits, whereas it's either the artists themselves or the fans who get the brunt of the fallout. Many artists are bound and locked into complex contractual parameters with their companies and any other parties they collaborate with, and actually have very little say in terms of how these things operate.
We need to remind ourselves of who we should be holding accountable in order to raise standards of practice within the industry, to the benefit of all. We can all strive to do better.

Traditionally I join a world and interact with it directly. It's even my preference to do so. Why wouldn't I love getting the chance to directly see the beautiful creatures and wonders that made it up? This world however had an exception to it. Systems that ruled how the souls brought here were meant to interact with it.
I have never cared for things that stole away choice.
It was easier to devour Airplane's System than I expected it to be. It left a perfect hollowed out space that I could fit into. I slipped in, changing to fit the nature of the world and place I was taking. It was kinda cozy to settle in. Of course I immediately began to check through what my programs and options were. I needed to untie Airplane's life from the points I would track, and disengage punishments. It wasn't too difficult, but it left me relatively powerless as a System. It turned out that without a life in the balance to pay in gambles earning points was much more difficult. It would take a lot of work to earn anything.
That was fine. Airplane was a good selection for a System with minimal powers. He was more than capable of managing things on his own without a store or any extra perks. All he would need was advice and support, and I was more than able to give that to him. Airplane wouldn't fear being unwanted as long as I was attached to him.
It was hard being patient about reaching out to Airplane. He was currently just a child with confused memories. As soon as he would be able to bear them I would unlock the door on them so he could fully remember who he was. Until then I would have him steal what scraps of childhood he could find in a home that didn't want him. He was too strange and clever for them to bear. The world is rarely kind to those who are different.
[Welcome to Proud Immortal Demon Way, a living growing world based off your novel!] I chirped cheerfully. Airplane stared at the words for a moment, his heartbeat starting to rabbit. [Bound Role: Shang Qinghua, traitor to Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. Starting B-Points: 100.]
"Ahaha, there's gotta be some kind of mistake?" Airplane tried. His tiny child fingers trembled.
[No mistake User 001! You have been given a second chance!]
He burst into tears. "This is terrible!"
[User001 should pay attention to what he's being told.]
"I don't want to die!"
[User001 doesn't have to! User001 is free to diverge from canon at any point!]
"Wait, I am?" The tears dried up. Airplane might currently be a child, but he was still someone forged under pressure. He wouldn't waste time crying when there were better solutions.
[This world is meant to change. User001 can decide what that means for him!]
Airplane fell silent. I could tell his thoughts were racing as he thought about this. "So what do you do?"
[This System is a24/7 help service for your transmigration experience! ദ്ദി(。•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊ It is available to answer questions and guide this Host to his goals!]
"What goals?"
[This System suggests beginner quest "Cultivate to Win"! PIDW is a dangerous world, Host's ability to survive will increase with such skills.]
"Ah, that's true, this world has a ton of monsters in it, and so many papapa plants-"
[(≧▽≦)]
"What?"
["Papapa". Cute!]
"Hey, I'm eight! What dirty s*** are you expecting from a child?"
[Host is a transmigrated author of a porn novel ¬‿¬]
"I needed the money!"
[This System is aware. This System doesn't judge Host for doing so. This System is simply charmed Host called sex "papapa".] Airplane shook his head and started complaining to himself. I listened in amusement. This is what I had come for, Airplane's utter ridiculousness.

OUR FIGHT (PART 2) - Captain Harlock x F! Reader
CORRECTED AND DETAILS ADDED thanks tp @harlockschaos
Warnings : Mention of death, mourning, severe injuries, angst, slow burn (it's startiiiiiing)
Synopsis : You may be injured, with no crew nor battleship remaining, but you have something to take care of, and Harlock seems fully aware.
In the past you went to many graveyards either to follow some suspicious guys or to visit some friends' and acointances' tombs. Today was completely different as you stopped next to some crooked piece of metal. You were the one with a heavy heart as you turned around to take in the immensity of your failures. With the dark cape hiding your still bandaged form, you felt like the grim reaper from the legends.
Your first task was to find as many bodies as possible and to bury them. Simple you would say but this was only the theory. Dig a hole with some piece of metal, pull a corpse and cover it in dust. When there were people you knew nothing about or even some citizens, your brain managed to process the information, making you work more efficiently.
You managed to honor twelve people before you faced one of your copilots. Enso. Reckless, alcoholic and with a heart of gold, saved by you from some traffic ring linked to the Illumidas on his own planet. He had some success with the Illumidas soldiers in the past and you wondered how he managed to keep his sincere disgust and wrath all to himself whenever he got paid for his services.
Drenched in sweat, you took some time to breathe. Your body was hurting but things needed to be done. And just like that, you saw your favourite engineer, the poor Aki, or her actual name, Aiko. You gave her five years before becoming either the Captain of the Conqueror III, or to any other major pirate battleship. Damn it you even started to knock some doors to help her make some advancement. She deserved to rest in peace.
You looked down at her bloody corpse, vertigo starting to take over your mind. You took the painkillers you stole and put in your pocket. Your hosts deserved some respect but you were convinced you would need more than what got prescribed. You needed them. But you refused in a sudden gesture, throwing your painkillers behind you before starting to dig.
"You don't have to do that alone," said a now well-known voice from afar.
His words got ignored as he walked up to you. Why would you try any conversation with Harlock when you had to keep enough strength to bury your fifty-one crew members as well as the citizens who got taken in the aftermath? The greatest honor you could make to the universe was to bury your men yourself.
The Captain of the Arcadia remained silent as you kept on digging the same grave and you even forgot about his presence as you turned to watch the poor woman's corpse waiting there. It felt uncanny not to see her debating non-stop with the other crew members. She was the kind of person to try to understand everything and anything and joined you after an Illumidas laboratory explosion she set up with some other saboteurs.
"I owe them that," you said in a broken voice.
You managed to grab her by her shoulders, and to get her into her grave aligned carefully with the other ones. You positioned her correctly, making sure her head with closed eyes looked up straight to the sky without seeing anything. Just as alwayscovering her head with dirt felt painful, only to get better as you realized that was the only thing to do.
It was almost over when you noticed Captain Harlock walking amongst the dead. The few times that man turned around to get a closer look to some corpses you could see his serious and pained face, especially the children's. He had no more pleasure than you being there. Human sufferings couldn't be unknown to him. How many crew members did he lost?
Silently, you saw him getting a civilian man up, carrying him to the other line of graves you dug up further behind you, away from your friends. And just like that, you kept digging.
It took several hours and you ended up sitting on some Conqueror's broken wing. The left one, you noticed as you came closer.
The Captain was examining your bandages soaked in sweat as you tried to torn your sturdy leather cape between your fingers. That cold felt uncomfortable as the tissue's wetness got whipped by the wind. You watched his face contorted in disgust and worry at some point towards your thighs, telling you all you needed to know about how seriously you were about to get scolded by their doctor.
The he regained his composure, looking up at you with a neutral expression.
"Everybody got worried when we saw you had disappeared a while ago.""
"I needed to do it."
"I... understand. I knew where to find you. I sent the others back to repair the Arcadia. Do you feel any better?"
Mentally tired, you turned your eyes towards the graves marked with names engraved in some pieces of metal you got from the crash site.
"I guess so. Thank you for your help for the citizens."
"I needed to do it too."
The tall man sat by your side in silence as he wiped his sweaty forehead with his dusty gloves. From what you could tell he was up to his reputation. Not everyone would have helped you this much, or even with this much respect.
"I'd like to ask for some help for my Conqueror too."
Harlock scoffed, and you watched him scratching some spot on his cheeks before turning to you.
"This seems to require my whole crew, especially for the trunk and to secure the area. We should start now if we want to leave this planet in a week or so."
"Would you really deploy all your forces for such an old ship?"
That respectful idiot started to make you attempt to smile the tiniest bit.
"You still haven't recovered from my comment about it, am I wrong?" he asked with a head tilt towards the crash site, "if we could we would help you. Sadly we have to go as early as possible. As soon as Tochiro and the others are done with the repairs, in fact.”
You felt his powerful gaze on you. A single brown eye burning with its owner's natural intensity. Were you the you from the past, the young Captain launched into her very first big battle you would have envied his ability to keep his cool under any circumstance. Now you only admired it. How lucky you got to be born as a human and not an Illumida.
"And after the Arcadia gets back into business, you’ll take off and leave this planet" you guessed.
"You're right."
You knew what he was silently asking from you, but right now you could only turn back to your beloved Conqueror. It didn't even pain you to notice some dark figures looting some parts that landed far away from where you were.
"Do you want me to-?" he started as he noticed what intrigued you.
"No no no. Don't do that. There was nothing left anyway. No fuel, no ammunition, no missile. They can get the meds and all the metal they want. If the ship can be used to shelter people and to heal them it'll be better than just staying there like a statue."
" You really fought till the end huh?" he said.
"What killed it was the tenth or twentieth time we used it as a battering ram against the biggest Illumida ships. At least it was some kind of fun. As the energy level got too low to maintain our shields up... well it suffered a lot."
"That was reckless, desperate and necessary. I love it."
"Finally someone that gets it."
Pain returned at full blast in your left leg, to the point where you closed your valid eye and gritted your teeth. Maybe digging as you were still wearing bandages all over your burns wasn't a great idea for you.
"Let me help you," Harlock said.
The way back to the Arcadia was silent, mostly as you weren't in the mood anymore to talk at all. You appreciated the Captain's help as he kept an arm secured loosely around your waist, The both of you looked around as survivors started to organize themselves even though it was still nightime. Many tents were being installed here and there and you could already see some metal slums appearing from afar.
As you reached the area near the Arcadia, you witnessed the beautiful colors coming from the blowtorches all over its metallic skin. It almost looked like tiny and temporary stars now that dawn arrived.
"Tell me Captain, how did you manage to get such a ship? If what I heard about you is true, you managed to get rid off autonomous Illumidas ships easily with it. How?"
"Oh no, not easily. But no machine gets to beat the human mind. The Illumidas often forget that in their despise for our race."
"For now at least," you mumbled.
Did he ignore your skeptical comment or did he not hear it, you couldn't tell. However it was hard to ignore the young boy screaming as he ran up to you.
"Captain! Captain! Captain! We were looking for you everywhere!"
Did that boy just scold him? Could he be his son or a nephew? No wonder Harlock decided to help you out if you saved him.
"Tadashi I already told you to stay on the ship," the older man ordered.
"Kei said there was no Illumida presence! And Tochiro said I needed to take some fresh air and then I saw you outside."
The Captain sighed discreetly and Tadashi turned to you with the biggest smile you had seen in a while.
"Thank you Captain for saving me, could you teach me how to..."
"Tadashi I said no and now go back to the Arcadia," the Captain grumbled.
That being said he obeyed this time and ran away. You blinked a few times at what just happened.
"Is he your son?"
"Oh no he is not. . A kid we saved and works on-board as a cook. He helps in missions from time to time."
"What was he doing in the middle of the battle if he's a cook?"
"Busy disobeying me, Miime and Tochiro," he replied with the tiniest smile of... pride?
"Did he want to fight or did he end up at the wrong place at the wrong time?"
"Both. I told him to guard one of the corridors just in case, if any Illumidas managed to get in. The goal was to give him the impression of doing something important so that he would stop harassing me. But... let's say he got a little too reckless and ended up on the planet itself. That's when we noticed you on our screen. I should have thanked you for saving him by the way."
You nodded without much knowing what to say. After a few seconds, Harlock extended his hand to you to invite you to join the infirmary. You gladly accepted his help to walk especially as the corridors appeared as even longer now that pain spread across your body.
You got scolded by their doctor due to your recklesseness as well as the painkillers stolen. After you showered in a succession of mental breakdowns and attempted meditation, you learned that their Captain left to get some rest before their departure. Much to your surprise, you too found yourself asleep soon enough.
Woken up by the doctor, you felt physically broken. Another bandage change and he brought you the news: your eye couldn't get saved. Well, you were expecting it. Your burned flesh got covered in ointments, fortunately smelling almost good to your nose. It pleased your skin and muscles so much that you couldn't even think of your recent torments.
The doctor was busy spreading this miracle medicine all over your leg when Harlock came in. You didn't care much about being seen in basically your underwear, and your wounds were obvious, but you appreciated the way he flinched as he hesitated.
"Come in Captain," the doctor said.
This time you were the one to flinch as he cut off some dead skin. Nothing much but still something disturbing enough to see. Harlock walked up to the both of you, his arms crossed as he examined your face, probably your dead eye now covered with a bandage all around your head. There was some kind of pity you could tell, but maybe it got laced with some memories of his own facial injuries.
"I wanted to tell you we are going to leave in a few hours. Two or three depending on our ability to repair some machines. Still no new Illumida threat. We also recruited eight new crew members last night."
"I hope the Illumidas will stay away from this planet now. I wish I could do more than that."
Distracted from your conversation by the doctor that examined your palms closely, you remained silent at his confused frown.
"Ma'am, did you hurt yourself? I don't remember your hands being in that state."
"Hm? Yeah I slipped."
He didn't trust you and you weren't even trying to make him believe you. He looked up at Harlock that remained focused on your injuries and he shrugged before resuming his treatment.
"I'll join Tochiro up there. We'll let you know when everything will get fixed."
And just like that he was gone with a swift twirl of his black cape. Your heart pathetically decided to squeeze itself in remorse and you sighed. You wish you had half of his charisma in simple everyday life tasks.
You knew what needed to be done and you decided not to wait for the last minute. You reached their control room, and suddenly felt a little too undressed with your bandages and a new coat you wrapped around your waist as Tochiro, Miime and Kei turned to your direction. Harlock was nowhere to be found and you felt pretty awkward inviting yourself without him in the area.
‘I’m here to speak with the Captain. He told me he’d be here.’
"Oh I'm going to tell him," Tochiro said with a big smile, "he'll be back in a second you'll see," he added before chuckling to himself, "but please come closer, we have many many many questions about you and your float."
Kei walked up closer with a smile that felt quite a bit forced but otherwise her aura didn't seem aggressive or any more reluctant than that. Maybe something happened during the battle that affected her - who knew?
Surprisingly enough Miime seemed easier to understand. Even without a face her physical language and voice were clear : she was glad you were there and she started to explain how the Arcadia worked. How they intercepted every important message transmitted in space or on the planet they were, the impressive weaponry with Tochiro's and Kei's help.
You liked to compare the Arcadia and the Conqueror III in terms of performances, but they both got designed differently: the first one as a massive and heavily-armed tank no matter if it was in the air or underwater, and the latter used to be much lighter, with less weapons but more useful in harassing the enemy and destroying their lines from the inside.
You felt at home and glad you wouldn't take your final decision only thanks to one person, as deserving and inspiring as he was.
Soon enough Harlock came back. He remained expressionless and the young Tadashi followed him closely. They really looked like a man and his son, it was stronger than you. They had similar personalities in some points but you hoped the boy would mature quickly not to risk his life in vain out of ego.
The Captain's eye noticed you quickly and he nodded as some kind of friendly wave while the boy already started to talk.
"Ma'am I hope you're doing well, and also did Tochiro bother you? He's always like that with the newcomers that know engineering well and space and..."
Tochiro laughed, and you exchanged a synchronised amused glare with the Captain of the Arcadia.
"I wanted to tell you I reconsidered your proposition, Captain," you said.
"Oh really?"
"Absolutely. I do wish to join you in your fight. I can go anywhere you need me to be. Engineering, military strategy, as a spy, as a soldier... I'll be there."
“Even despite what you just went through?”
“Absolutely. I do feel tired from al those events but... I – we need to win this war, and I'll be more than glad to help you.”
"Welcome aboard then," he said gladly.
The satisfaction was obvious on his face. You smiled, Tadashi, Miime, Kei and Tochiro cheering loudly at your official arrival as you shook hands.

⚢ Pairing - Momo x 10th Member!Reader
✎ Word Count - 2.6k
☆ Genre - Angst/Fluff
♡ Description - You and Momo have been close ever since SIXTEEN, When your company decides to take advantage of your intimate moments with Momo to benefit themselves without your knowledge, things get rocky. (A/N: I haven't had a chance to proofread this in its entirety yet, so please bare with me if there are errors)
★······★
Before you became the 10th member of TWICE, your journey began on the reality show "SIXTEEN." This show was the very platform that brought you closer to the members of TWICE and laid the foundation for the unique bond you shared.
SIXTEEN was a survival reality show that aimed to select the members of a new girl group, which would later become TWICE. You were one of the sixteen contestants vying for a coveted spot in the debut lineup. From the very beginning, it was clear that the competition would be fierce, as each contestant possessed their own unique talents and charm.
During the grueling weeks of training and competition on the show, you had the opportunity to get to know Jihyo, Mina, and the other members of TWICE on a personal level. You practiced together, shared meals, and offered each other support during the tough times. It was through these shared experiences that your bonds began to form.
Jihyo's unwavering determination and leadership qualities made her a source of inspiration for all of you. Mina's quiet elegance and grace captivated everyone, and she had a calming presence that helped ease your nerves. These initial interactions allowed you to see them not just as idols, but as individuals with their own dreams and aspirations.
However, it was with Momo that you formed an especially close connection during the show. You discovered a shared passion for dance and spent countless hours perfecting your moves together. Your late-night practice sessions turned into heartfelt conversations, and your friendship deepened with each passing day. Momo's infectious energy and warm personality made it easy for anyone to get close to her.
As the competition progressed, you all faced eliminations, and the pressure intensified. Bonds were forged and tested, and you relied on each other for emotional support. You remember Mina being a calming presence, Jihyo motivating all of you with her words, and Momo always ready with a comforting smile.
In the end, only a select few of you made it to the final lineup, and you were not among them. It was a bittersweet moment when you left the show, knowing that you wouldn't be a part of TWICE's official debut. But little did you know that fate had a different plan in store for you.
Shortly after the conclusion of the show, you received an unexpected call from Park Jinyoung, Mr. JYP himself. He had been impressed with your performance on the show and saw the potential for you to contribute to TWICE's success. Thus, you were brought in as the 10th member.
Eight years into your career with Twice, your management company saw an opportunity to capitalize on the natural connection between you and Momo, the connection fans had seen ever since SIXTEEN back in 2015. They believed that fan service between the two of you could add an extra layer of excitement and intrigue for ONCE. While Momo and Jihyo were fully informed about the scripted nature of these interactions, you were kept in the dark, leading you to believe that Momo’s gestures were driven by a genuine romantic interest.
As time went by, you found yourself caught up in a whirlwind of emotions. Momo's lingering glances, soft touches, and playful banter seemed to speak a language of their own, one that resonated deep within your heart. Her actions seemed to echo the unspoken feelings you had begun to harbor for her.
★······★
The electric atmosphere of the music show's stage pulsed with energy as you and Momo settled into your seats, ready to share a recent highlight from TWICE's journey. The host's introduction sent waves of anticipation through the audience, and the spotlight turned to you both.
"Hello, everyone! We've got a fantastic treat for you today with our special guests—the dynamic duo from TWICE, Momo and Y/N!" The host's excitement was palpable, matched only by the cheers from the eager crowd.
As the host turned to you, a smile graced your lips. This was your chance to talk about a moment that was fresh in your memory—the most recent concert that had brought you and Momo even closer together.
"So, you've just wrapped up a series of incredible concerts in the US, haven't you?" the host asked, his gaze switching between you and Momo.
"That's right," Momo replied with a grin. "Our recent concerts in the States were an absolute blast. The energy from our ONCE was electrifying, and we were able to share some truly unforgettable moments."
The host leaned in, curiosity evident in his expression. "Could you give us a glimpse of one of those moments? Something that stood out to both of you?"
You exchanged a knowing glance with Momo, a shared memory already forming between you. "Well," you began, your voice filled with enthusiasm, "For our final concert, all of the members prepared special stages. Momo and I had been planning a special duet for a while, so we decided we should show it at the concert."
Momo's eyes sparkled as she shifted her chair slightly closer to yours and grasped your hand, taking you a bit by surprise. "Yes, that duet was really something. The crowd was completely invested, and the energy was through the roof. We were dancing side by side, and there was this moment where our choreography synced perfectly."
The host leaned in, intrigued by both the story and the surprise piece of skinship. "Synced choreography? That sounds amazing!"
"It was," you continued, a subtle blush spreading across your face. "And in that moment, it felt like time slowed down. Momo and I locked eyes, and there was this unspoken connection between us. The fans were cheering, the lights were flashing, and it was as if we were in our own little world." You couldn’t help but smile as you pictured the moment again in your head.
Momo nodded, her smile softening. "Exactly. The best part was that it wasn't just about the performance itself—it was about the shared experience, the bond we have as friends and as members of TWICE."
★······★
With your heart still fluttering from your latest interaction with Momo, you found yourself grappling with a question that had been lingering in your mind. Wanting to seek guidance, you decided to confide in Jihyo, who was not only your fellow member but also a close friend of yours
You found her sitting alone in her room at your shared dorms, and the words spilled out before you could second-guess yourself. "Jihyo, can I ask you something?" you began, your voice tentative.
Jihyo turned to you with a warm smile. "Of course, what's on your mind?"
You took a deep breath, your gaze drifting towards the ground for a moment before you met her eyes again. "It's about Momo," you admitted, your voice softer now.
Jihyo's expression shifted slightly, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Momo? What about her?"
You paused for a moment, thinking about the best way to ask her. "I've been feeling... something between me and Momo. But I can't help but wonder, do you think she really likes me?"
Jihyo's eyes met yours, her expression thoughtful, and for a moment, you sensed a flicker of uncertainty in her gaze. Her lips parted as if she was about to speak, but then she hesitated. The silence hung between you, a palpable tension that you couldn't ignore.
Finally, Jihyo let out a sigh, her voice a mixture of honesty and reluctance. "I think Momo cares about you a lot," she began, choosing her words carefully. "But feelings can be complex, and sometimes, what we see isn't always the whole picture."
Your heart sank at her response, uncertainty gnawing at the edges of your thoughts. Jihyo's words left you more conflicted than before, as if the truth was both tantalizingly close and just out of reach. The conversation ended on a note of ambiguity. You thanked her before walking away, leaving you with a sense of unease that refused to be shaken off.
Little did you know, the reason for Jihyo's hesitance went beyond what she could openly reveal. She was aware of the scripted interactions, the orchestrated gestures that had given life to a romantic facade. But it wasn't her place to shatter the illusion, and so, she found herself treading carefully around a truth that was known to her alone.
★······★
Then, one day, as fate would have it, in a quiet corner of the practice room, you stumbled upon a moment that shattered the delicate facade you had built. Momo's phone was briefly unattended, and a curious impulse prompted you to take a peek. What you discovered within her digital world was a revelation that rocked you to your core.
In her phone were meticulously crafted notes, detailing every interaction you had shared, every glance, every touch, and every word exchanged. As you read through these entries, your heart sank as the truth became evident: the romantic moments you thought were genuine were nothing more than carefully orchestrated performances, following a script that only Momo was privy to.
The moment of truth arrived with a mixture of dread and curiosity. You had managed to keep your discovery to yourself, unsure of how to approach Momo about it. But as the weight of the secret became too heavy to bear, you found the courage to broach the subject.
You took a deep breath as Momo walked into the practice room and looked directly into her eyes. "Momo," you began, your voice a mixture of uncertainty and vulnerability, "Is this what I think it is? Were all of our interactions, everything we did together, scripted?"
Momo's gaze held yours, and her expression was a complex mix of remorse and understanding. She nodded slowly, her voice gentle as she responded, "Yes, it's true. The interactions between us, they were scripted for fan-service. The management thought it would be a good idea to create that illusion to appeal to ONCE."
Your heart felt like it was in your throat, the reality of the situation sinking in deeper. "So, all those moments, the glances, the laughter... they weren't real?"
Momo's expression softened, and she reached out to gently touch your arm. "The feelings behind them were real," she admitted, her voice sincere. "The bond we share, the friendship we've built, those are genuine. But the specific moments we were encouraged to showcase, those were planned."
A whirlwind of emotions swirled within you—a sense of loss, confusion, and the lingering question of where to go from here. "And the notes?" you pressed, your voice quivering slightly. "You have details for all of our interactions, even ones that haven’t happened yet?"
Momo's gaze dropped briefly, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her phone. When she looked back at you, there was a raw honesty in her eyes. "Yes," she confessed softly. "I had to keep track of everything for the fan-service plan. The past interactions we shared, as well as the future interactions the company had planned."
The weight of the truth settled heavily upon you, and for a moment, the room felt stifling. It was as if the world you had come to know had been turned upside down, revealing a new layer of complexity beneath the surface. But as you looked at Momo, the vulnerability in her expression spoke volumes—a silent admission that while the circumstances may have been manufactured, the emotions that had blossomed between you were as real as ever.
As the weight of the truth settled upon you, a tumult of emotions stirred within your chest. Disappointment mingled with a bittersweet understanding, and the sense of vulnerability you shared with Momo made the moment even more profound. But amidst the confusion and the pain of realizing that certain moments were scripted, you couldn't deny the warmth that still lingered between you two.
When your eyes met Momo's, you could see the genuine remorse and sincerity in her gaze. The silence that hung between you was broken by her soft voice. "I know I messed up," she began, her voice wavering with a mixture of regret and hope. "But please, can you find it in your heart to give me a second chance?"
Your heart wavered as you gazed into her eyes, searching for the truth in her words. Momo's vulnerability was palpable, and you could see the pain she felt for not being completely forthcoming with you. Despite the scripted interactions, you couldn't deny the genuine connection that had grown between you.
Taking a moment to gather your thoughts, you spoke with a mix of caution and sincerity. "Momo, this is a lot to process," you admitted, your voice soft but steady. "I appreciate your honesty now, but I need time to understand my own feelings."
Momo nodded, her gaze never leaving yours. "I understand," she said, her voice filled with understanding. "I'm willing to wait, to give you the time you need. But please know that my feelings for you have always been real."
Days turned into weeks, and amidst the quiet contemplation, you found your thoughts repeatedly returning to Momo. Despite the scripted fan-service, the bond you had formed was unbreakable. You remembered the genuine laughter, the shared dreams, and the way she had been there for you through both triumphs and challenges. It was clear that the emotions you felt for her were just as real as any script could ever dictate.
On a warm August evening, as the two of you found yourselves sharing a quiet moment in the practice room, you looked at Momo, your heart speaking more clearly than ever before. "Momo," you began, your voice filled with a mixture of vulnerability and determination, "I've thought about this a lot, and I've come to realize that what we have is too special to let go."
Momo's eyes widened with hope, her breath catching in anticipation of your next words.
You took a deep breath, your gaze unwavering as you continued, "I want to give us a chance, a real chance, beyond scripts and fan-service. I want to be with you, Momo, not as a performance, but as a partner."
Tears welled up in Momo's eyes, her lips curving into a radiant smile. "Yes," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "I've been waiting for this, for us."
In that moment, you closed the distance between you, your heart racing as you cupped her face gently with your hand. With the sincerity of your emotions guiding you, you leaned in, your lips meeting Momo's in a soft and tender kiss.
Time seemed to stand still as your lips brushed against hers—a moment of truth, vulnerability, and shared affection. The scripted interactions may have brought you together, but it was the undeniable chemistry and the depth of your feelings that made this kiss feel like the most genuine moment of all.
As you pulled away, the world around you felt hushed, the energy of your connection palpable. Momo's eyes fluttered open, her gaze locked onto yours with an intensity that mirrored your own.
"This is real, isn't it?" she whispered, her voice tinged with awe.
You smiled gently, your heart full of warmth. "Absolutely real," you affirmed, your voice steady and sincere.
And as you held each other in a quiet embrace, you both knew that this was the beginning of a new chapter—a chapter defined by the authenticity of your emotions, the depth of your connection, and the unwavering truth of your hearts. The scripted interactions had led you here, but it was your shared journey that would guide you forward, hand in hand, into a love story that was truly your own.

Web Hosting and SEO: Boost Your Website's Visibility
In the ever-expanding digital landscape, a website's success hinges on more than just its content and design. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays a pivotal role in determining a website's visibility and, consequently, its reach and impact. While SEO strategies encompass a wide range of factors, one often overlooked aspect that can significantly influence your website's SEO performance is your Web Hosting Service. In this blog post, we'll explore the intricate relationship between web hosting and SEO and how choosing the right hosting provider can bolster your website's visibility.

The Need for Speed
One of the key factors that search engines like Google consider when ranking websites is page speed. Google's algorithms favor websites that load quickly and provide a seamless user experience. Slow-loading websites tend to frustrate users and can result in a higher bounce rate, both of which are detrimental to your SEO efforts.
Your Web Hosting Service Provider plays a central role in determining your website's loading speed. Factors such as server hardware, data center location, and the efficiency of their infrastructure all impact how fast your website loads. High-quality hosting providers invest in fast servers and content delivery networks (CDNs) to ensure your site is served to users as quickly as possible. By choosing a reliable host with a focus on speed, you can give your website an SEO advantage.
Uptime and Downtime
Search engines, including Google, also take into account the uptime of your website. Frequent downtime not only results in a poor user experience but can also negatively affect your search engine rankings. If your website is often inaccessible due to hosting issues, search engines may lower your site's ranking as it implies unreliability.
When selecting a web hosting provider, look for one that offers a high uptime guarantee. Most reputable hosts provide at least 99.9% uptime. This ensures that your website remains accessible to users and search engine bots, which is vital for SEO success.
Server Location and Geo-Targeting
For businesses that serve a specific geographic area or audience, server location is critical. Search engines consider the geographical location of your web server when determining the relevance of your website to local search queries.
If you're targeting a local audience, it's advantageous to choose a hosting provider with servers located in the same region as your target audience. This can enhance your website's local SEO performance and help you rank higher in local search results.
Security and SEO
Security is another crucial aspect of web hosting that affects your website's SEO. A hacked or compromised website can suffer severe penalties in search rankings. Hosting providers with robust security measures, such as firewalls, malware scanning, and regular backups, can help protect your website from potential threats.
In summary, the relationship between web hosting and SEO is more intertwined than you might think. Your choice of hosting provider can significantly impact your website's speed, uptime, server location, and security—all of which are essential for SEO success. By selecting a reliable and SEO-friendly hosting provider, you can give your website the best chance to boost its visibility in search engine results and reach a wider audience. Remember that SEO is a multifaceted strategy, and your hosting service is a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the secretary of Health and Human Services, told Congress that he’s directed the Food and Drug Administration to review regulations around the abortion pill mifepristone, outraging reproductive rights advocates after he cited a flawed study on the widely used medication.
“I’ve asked Marty Makary, who’s the director of the FDA, to do a complete review and report back,” Kennedy, a notorious skeptic and conspiracy theorist on vaccines and other public health matters, said of the medication during a Senate budget hearing Wednesday.
Makary is a former Fox News host known for claiming on national television that fetuses can “resist” an abortion.
Kennedy confirmed that any decision on the drug will be informed by a deeply flawed report published last month by a conservative think tank, even though experts say the so-called study has a clear conflict of interest and wasn’t peer-reviewed ― a baseline expectation for research used to alter access to a medication that’s been used by millions of Americans to manage their reproductive health for a quarter-century.
The health secretary went on to say that the new report, which claims 11% of mifepristone users “experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging” after taking it, is “alarming” and “clearly it indicates that at [the] very least that the label should be changed.”
In addition to not being peer-reviewed, the report does not include its dataset and procedure codes, something scientists told HuffPost last month is both unusual, and makes it impossible for other researchers to fully assess its methodology and the integrity of the report’s results.
Kennedy’s remarks were in response to questions from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who’s been leading the ongoing charge to crack down on mifepristone. He celebrated Kennedy’s response on social media.
“That’s a win for life,” he said, sharing a video of their exchange.
Reproductive rights advocates and experts say they’re deeply disturbed by Kennedy’s comments.

Centralia, Pennsylvania. For most of its history, the town of Centralia was a prosperous coal mining town. Centralia was officially founded in 1842 by Alexander Rae. The first mines opened in the area in 1856, and by 1890 the town had a population of 2,761 and hosted seven churches, five hotels, twenty-seven saloons, fourteen general stores, two theaters, a bank, and a post office. During World War I, production declined as many of the young men enlisted in the military. After the Wall Street Crash in 1929, several of the area mines were closed. However, many illegal mining operations continued in various places. By the 1960's, official coal mining in Centralia had completely ceased, but illegal mining continued until 1982.
In 1962, the Centralia Town Council was deciding what to do with the town landfill. The landfill was established the previous year to discourage illegal dumping and was located inside an abandoned strip-mine pit next to the Odd Fellowes Cemetery. On May 27, firefighters set the landfill on fire and let it burn before extinguishing it. However, the fire was not fully put out - it managed to enter the labyrinth of abandoned coal tunnels that snaked underneath the town.
Residents began to notice something was wrong around 1979. By this point there just over 1,000 residents living in Centralia. That year gas station owner John Coddington inserted a dipstick into one of his underground gasoline tanks to check the fuel level. When he withdrew it, it felt hot. So, he inserted a thermometer into the tank and was shocked to discover the temperature of the gas in the tank was 172° Fahrenheit. Beginning in 1980 several locals began to suffer from health effects due to the gases produced by the fire. Statewide attention began to focus on Centralia when sinkholes began opening at various places in the area. In 1981, 12-year-old Todd Domboski fell into a sinkhole in his grandmother's backyard that opened suddenly right beneath his feet. He saved himself be grabbing a tree root and was pulled to safety by his cousin Eric Wolfgang. The steam plume billowing from the hole was tested and found to contain lethal levels of carbon monoxide. At the same time, Governor Dick Thornburgh and State Rep. James Nelligen were visiting the area to assess the situation. In response to the worsening crisis, the U.S. Congress allocated $42 million for relocation effort. Most residents accepted the payments and moved out of town. Afterwards most of the town's structures were demolished. Some residents, however, refused to leave - with 63 residents remaining by 1990. In 1992, Governor Bob Casey invoked eminent domain on all properties within the town. The U.S. Postal Service discontinued Centralia's zip code in 2002.
There have been several legal attempts by the few remaining residents to stop the government from seizing their homes. The holdouts claim that the government wanted the mineral rights to all the coal deposits that remained untapped. In 2009, the state began formal eviction proceedings against the last few residents. These residents filed suit in 2010 claiming they were victims of fraud. By 2013, the residents settled, reaching an agreement that they could remain in their homes until their deaths, at which point the properties would be claimed under eminent domain. By 2020, only five residents still live in Centralia.
The fire underneath Centralia continues to burn. At its current burn rate, the fire could continue to burn for the next 250 years. Almost all the towns' structures have been demolished, and nature has mostly reclaimed the land. From above, the Centralia appears to be nothing more than a series of paved roads hidden within thick forest. There are numerous fissures all over the affected area spewing steam and toxic gas into the air. A section of Pennsylvania Route 61 passing through the Borough was closed after steam damaged and split the pavement repeatedly. There are many signs placed around warning of ground instability and toxic fumes.
The town has served as the model for numerous ghost towns in popular culture including Vampire Zero by David Wellington and Strange Highways by Dean Koontz. Most famously, the story of Centralia was used as research for the basis of the namesake town in the 2006 film 'Silent Hill' - a movie based the popular video game franchise of the same name.

Had a really 'weird' dream tonight. Weird bc it was one of those strangely cinematic ones without an ego insert that are surprisingly coherent and make a ton of sense. Also bc I usually stay away from kidfics and stuff like that bc it just isn't my jam.
So Aziraphale and Crowley had an accidental kid together. But the thing was, they were still not talking. So Crowley didn't know about the kid and Aziraphale had to conceal the pregnancy from the heavenly host and didn't really have the chance to communicate or prepare anything for the kid. So he ended up sneaking down to earth once he went into labor, had the baby in a random hospital and just ditched (Which, Brian ... Wtf that is so out of character).
At any rate the kid ended up in the foster system bc Aziraphale despite trying to send guardian angels their way just couldn't manage so yhea the kid had a really horrible childhood. All while Crowley was still oblivious, bc again Aziraphale tried but just didn't manage to communicate with him. So he is living his slightly depressed life trying to find a purpose while keeping up a friendship with Muriel, who learned a lot about earth and was now a walking incomplete enziclopida, knowing a ton while also never stopping to ask even more questions and trying stuff out. And one day Crowley took a drunken nap in the Bentley and got woken up by a Punk teen trying to relieve him of the content of his glove box. (The Bentley opened the door for them bc of course the Bentley knew what's up).
So yhea turns out the kid had run away from a particularly bad foster home and was living on the street while begging and pickpocketing. So Crowley goes 'ah fuck it , I got nothing else to do anyway' and starts bonding with them bc damn it what they did was really stupid and somebody gotta teach them how to break into a car properly. In the end he ends up adopting the kid and taking on the role of a fully human parent with all the ups and downs of taking on a traumatized teen. Like he really tries hard to not let it slip what he is and so does Muriel bc of course Muriel takes on the pibling role.
One day Muriel got the idea that they should try out one of those DNA services bc wouldn't it be funny to see what their heaven/hell issued earthly corporation got under the hood. They are after all based on real human bodies so imagine all the wackiness. Crowley wasn't on board with the idea for obvious reasons but the kid was super into it, also bc they hoped they might get a clue for where they actually came from. So Muriel and the kid convinced Crowley to just go along with it.
So they did the DNA kit all together and the results show the kid and Crowley are directly related. The kid ended up feeling betrayed and running away again bc they finally trusted someone and then it turned out they lied to them ? Especially since Crowley's reaction was to deny the possibility and get really defensive and pissed when pressed. In the end Crowley ends up 'running away' as well since he was also completely overwhelmed and couldn't cope with the implications. And then Muriel adding things up decided they wanted to confront Aziraphale in hopes of getting to the bottom of it ...
And then I woke up ....
#good omens#ineffable husbands#crowley#aziraphale#azicrow#i had a weird dream#and i needed to share it#if it were a fanfic i would read it despite not liking kid content#also imagine the angst#also i have so many question towards my own brain

So. Here we are. I’m assuming you’ve all seen what I have—and if you haven’t, then what I’m referring to is an article explaining a little about the members of the JAGUAR boy group that’s coming just next month: CHERRYADE. I can taste it a little already. Most people have no idea what’s going on, (and I don’t blame them, seeing as the last sign of life we’ve seen from JAGUAR was the BONSOIR disbandment notice from back in May 2O2O) so I’ve decided to take one for the team and provide to you all a slightly omniscient-sounding (but only because I do my thorough research, and have my inside sources!) complete run-down of everything surrounding CHERRYADE—including their managing company, all the artists that came before them, and the groups they’re primarily going to be forged out of.

PART i. the company.
“All press is good press,” says the company that is more used to attracting bad reviews than good. Known primarily for housing a whole host of outspoken and authentic personalities, attempting to pull off outrageously ambitious ventures that almost never go to plan, and generally biting off more than they can chew, JAGUAR has risen to (what some may call) infamy from where its headquarters stands proud in the centre of Gangnam. When you step inside their walls you’ll find great minds, good music, and an admirable work ethic—just don’t look too much further into it. Prodding around into things unknown never ends well, after all.
JAGUAR is a fictional South Korean entertainment company, founded by current CEO Ae Seungdae in 2003. They started off as a PR firm, working the media for their clientele—that mainly consisted of struggling actors, those who had either not yet found their breakout role or those that had gone through something that had sent public opinion of them into the red—and quickly making a name for themselves as a reliable service, one that had yet to majorly fail. It was something of an open secret within those who had hired them and the industry in general that while they were not always the most ethical in their methods of dealing with the media, they were always effective, and so nothing more than a few rumours were ever brought against their name.
Their work in the PR business continued until midway through 2006, where Seungdae made the (correct) assumption that there was much more money to be made if they began to work within the industry, rather than simply managing the front of it. And so, by the beginning of 2007, they had fully jumped ship and rebranded into the entertainment company that they’re known as to all today.
The first act to be released to the public was the co-ed duo JUST4U, attempting to cater to both young male and female audiences straight off the bat with the appeal the respective members had. They struck gold pretty much from the get-go, shooting upwards in popularity after the release of their first single ‘DBL TRBL,’ and from there it only got better—for the two members and for the company.
The first sign of decline was shortly after their second mini album in 2012, where allegations of a physical fight breaking out between the two arose after a performance on a music show. They were put on a year-long unofficial hiatus after the incident, but it seemed their fanbase wasn’t at all deterred, because after their long-awaited return in 2013 with a whole full album they were met with nothing but love and support. The first (that was known to the public, anyway) fight seemed to be the start of the end for the duo, though, as only three years later in 2016 they would meet their end after yet another vicious argument that got through to the press, and that appeared to be the breaking point—as they both cut their contracts with the company not long afterwards, and JUST4U ceased to exist. To date, their seven-year run marks them as JAGUAR’s longest lasting group.
That didn’t leave JAGUAR with no-one to run their show, however, because in 2012 they debuted a male soloist named YOON, a heartthrob that was again met with massive success not long after the release of his first mini album ‘ON: YOUTH.’ He continued after JUST4U’s demise as JAGUAR’s reigning king until late 2018, where he was found to have taken his own life in his penthouse apartment. Both the public and the company were rightfully devastated by the loss, but after theories began to crop up speculating on why exactly he committed suicide, it was clear they needed to do some damage control.
So, just under a week after the news officially broke of YOON’s passing, along came the release of ‘MAYDAY’—a pre-debut single from what was (then) the four-membered group BONSOIR. The release was clearly timed to take the attention away from the death, but to JAGUAR’s credit it worked fairly well and most theorists were now more interested in the new trainees, a fanbase quickly building from the abundance of content that JAGUAR were now putting out focusing around BONSOIR.
This pre-debut promotion would continue until mid December, shortly after struggling actor Ahn Jaehee would decide to put his career of background characters to rest and continue down the idol pathway, instead. By the time of their October 2019 debut with mini album ‘BETTER IS MORE,’ it was revealed that Jaehee was an official part of their lineup—but the original four didn’t seem to be the most excited about this fact. In fact, there were constant rumours and stories of fights they would get into with the new maknae, and this was what would eventually come back around to bite them. In March 2020 an article was released that told all of the things Jaehee had gone through at the hands of his bandmates, and all things BONSOIR abruptly fell silent. The last thing they got was a quiet disbandment notice in May 2020, and after that JAGUAR as a whole seemed to fall completely quiet. No announcements of an upcoming group, no nothing. They were a ghost company.
Until July 2021. A surprise announcement was made, of a new boy group set to debut at the turn of the very next month. CHERRYADE, they were called, and the word being spread was that their lineup consisted mostly (with the exception of two) of members from groups that had met the same fate as BONSOIR—that was to say, disbanded after one scandal or another (or simply the lack of interest) and left to rot. To this day they remain active, and although they’ve gotten themselves into a fair amount of hot water, they’ve yet to scald so bad it spells out their end. They all even appear to semi-like each other, which is always a bonus. But that’s not to say there isn’t something career-threatening on the horizon. It’s all just a waiting game.

With big dreams & a bigger smile, Seungdae only ever wants the best for his employees. Fully supportive of whatever they do in their endeavours (as long as it doesn’t involve publicly dragging JAGUAR’s name through the mud, of course), he’ll happily encourage any less-than-tasteful actions they decide to indulge in if they think it’ll help them climb to the top that much faster. Scandals aren’t so bad if they make heads turn and lips move, fights can be swiftly moved past, and the press can be silenced completely if you know the right people to do it for you. Seungdae’s unwillingly pessimistic right-hand-woman, Hyojoo is really just trying to keep her head above water. When she got the job back in May 2003, back when JAGUAR was simply a quiet little PR firm in the centre of Gangnam, she had no idea what she’d end up being, what the company would go on to turn into. She is of the complete opposite opinion of the CEO—she thinks everything should be moral, and everyone should at least keep it civil until they’re behind closed doors. Unfortunately, her mission of attempting to keep everything above-board failed long, long ago.

If there’s a bad idea, one that’s full of too much flashing lights and more sparkle than substance, then chances are it came from Jitae. He’s a kid at heart, just wanting things to look cool rather than there to be any significant meaning behind it. While he always means well, is always filled to the brim with grandiose visions far beyond himself, putting those ideas into practice is another matter entirely. The only thing that usually stops him during his board meetings full of over-expressive arm movements and explosive sound effects is Hyojoo giving him a look that says none of them will ever come to light. So he sits back down.

As the younger sister to the now-deceased YOON, Eunhee has a lot to hate about JAGUAR and everyone in it. But she stays on, if only to look after her younger cousin Hasun and glare daggers at any former BONSOIR members she passes in the hallways. She runs a right ship and is cutthroat in her ways, unafraid to point out every single little thing she finds wrong with ideas brought to the table or thought-to-be finished products placed in front of her. Stragglers are the one thing she won’t tolerate, the things that have no use to her, and she’s unafraid to do all things necessary to cut them loose.

Sumi has every single one of her priorities completely straight, all lined up in a neat little row that she refuses to let get knocked astray. She likes to think of herself as one of the only ones with her head screwed on right, the only one with proper drive and ambition. A Lady Macbeth of her time (without the suicide—she’s not going out like that). The act of her reaching the very top, whether that be within JAGUAR or any other company she may decide to jump ship to, is something she feels is inevitable. It is going to happen, the only question left to answer is when.

Running primarily on spite and too much caffeine than is strictly healthy, Sungki is slimier than he likes to think of himself. Loyalty is a fickle thing for him, something that will change with the tide and who hasn’t wished him a good morning that day. He’s not particularly pleasant, however harmless he might look, but even he himself is oblivious to how much he’s disliked at times. His trust can be bought, as well as.. Well, everything else about him. There isn’t much he’s not willing to do if the digits climb high enough. He has some redeeming qualities, it just might take a while to name them.

Kyuri is a passive-aggressive, slightly manipulative, and always-put-together-looking ray of sunshine. She won’t let a strand of hair come out of place, and won’t let a single person that’s crossed her know a single day of peace. Her number one belief is that one can get anything they want if they’re charming enough—a belief that, in her case, is one that works every time. All you have to do is put on a shining white smile and grip their hand a little too hard, and she finds that everything she may want falls straight into her lap. She could do with seeing a little less of a number of her colleagues, but she’d never breathe a word of that to their faces.

Simply trying to get by, trying to make a living to support his quiet little life, Youngshik has seen more than he ever really wanted to when he first got the job back in 2004. Trying to keep a leash on two firecrackers with their fuses lit was something that got his pulse racing on a good day and left him feeling at risk of a heart attack on the bad ones. A week of peace per year was the standard he slowly found himself getting used to, and despite all of the screaming and the fighting and the throwing things, he found himself missing the pair when they reached their limits and left.

She says she would’ve been better off never even coming near the company building in the first place, would’ve been much further on in both her life and career if she had never set eyes on any of them at all—but despite this, she never makes any sort of move to leave. Some think it’s because of the cheques being written out for her, some think it’s because of the dirt they speculate she has on them concerning their treatment of once-superstar (and now dead) YOON, and some go on to make the harsher comment that, even with all her criticisms, without JAGUAR, Hanbi would just be another face in the crowd.

Ever bored, never having a nice thing to say, and a bit of an alcoholic, it’s common knowledge that Jaeyoung only really got the job because of his shareholder father pulling a few strings when he decided it was best for his son to try and handle a big-boy job for once. He’s holding on by a thread, but it’s not so clear as to whether he’s particularly worried about the status of his employment. His strongest bonds are formed through swapping contraband for excuses about what he’s been doing all day instead of managing the groups that were put under his care, and there may be a few DUI’s he’s shoving under the carpet.

PART ii. act one: just4u.
What do you get when you mix a country boy who hopped on a train the second he’d graduated to the big city and never looked back—only to resort to sleeping rough and stealing wallets when he realised his dreams of hitting it big were going to be a tad more difficult to achieve than he’d initially thought—and a born-and-raised big city girl—not spoiled nor particularly rich, but with certainly enough spite in her veins to rival both—who spends her days shoplifting and slacking off at her gig at the local noraebang? JUST4U, is your answer, after they were scouted on the street by an overexcited Jitae who had made his decision with just a singular look at them.
JAGUAR’s very first pet project, the members street casted by Jitae himself after wandering the highstreets of Gangnam pretty much aimlessly, JUST4U was a fictional co-ed South Korean duo made up of members Yeseul and Insu. Appeal was their core concept from the very start—in every meaning of the word. Sex appeal, endorsement appeal, musical appeal; they were trying to hit it all straight from the start line, likely wanting a boost after the recent rebrand from a PR firm to a full-blown entertainment company. To JAGUAR’s credit, though, it was an aspiration that was met both fairly well and fairly soon. Their debut single ‘DBL TRBL’ in September 2009 rocketed upwards in popularity and put their names in a lot of people’s mouths barely a week after its release, and it seemed like JUST4U could be the next big thing if JAGUAR played their cards right. They continued to be plastered all over the place, the company doing their best to grab as many publicity stunts as they could for the pair as the months passed by. The hype was well maintained, and many stuck around for the next release: the first mini album named ‘DIZZY,’ released in June 2010. From that point onwards JAGUAR felt it was safe to assume the attention wouldn’t take a nosedive into nothingness if they laid off the promotions, and relaxed a little, giving the members a little room to breathe.
The duo’s success was constant, never failing to gain headlines and interviews and more and more wins, more recognition, more of their names being passed from mouth to mouth. They were breezing through things, enjoying every second of the attention and the (monetary) awards they got from it. In fact, it was all a little.. Too good. While everything was doing more than fine on the music front, the relationship between the Yeseul and Insu was rocky at best, and had been since the start. They hated one another, point blank. That didn’t mean they wouldn’t trade favours and light each other’s cigarettes and lie about whatever the other may have needed them to lie about, but it did mean they couldn’t go a week without another screaming match about some petty thing or another. Maybe Insu had left his straighteners plugged in and on the countertop in Yeseul’s bathroom. Maybe Yeseul had left Insu’s earrings in her top drawer. Whatever it may have been, they made sure to fight about it multiple times over.
The media were none the wiser until August 2012. Another fight, but this time backstage at a music show—and it escalated to the point of throwing things, breaking things, bringing innocent staff members into it. Rumoured to have even been off the back of a drug-fuelled high, following leaked photos of empty baggies on their dressing room floor. What they’d just done was taken their own squeaky-clean image and set it alight—but, to be honest, neither really cared. JAGUAR stepped in to release a statement denying the claims, but in the same breath announced that all public appearances would be ceased for the time being, until everything had calmed down. The word ‘hiatus’ was never uttered, but it was clear as day to everyone who had read it that that was what it was. JUST4U spent their year off doing exactly the same things they’d been doing before it, although this time much worse. They wouldn’t come back until October 2013, when they dropped the full album ‘FEELING SWEET’ and convinced everyone they were better than they’d ever been, when the reality was that they were just getting crazier and crazier.
The fights continued, the sex continued, the drugs and clubs continued—the year off had really done nothing at all, and neither had the media. Yeseul and Insu continued to do whatever they wanted, and argued every second doing it. Maybe some would have thought JAGUAR would’ve stepped in after the 2012 fight to see how they were doing, and maybe even offer them some help, but the truth was that Seungdae thought JAGUAR’s artists should live their lives however they saw fit. Drugs and drink be damned, as long as they weren’t publicly dragging the company’s name through the mud, he found it to be none of his business—and advised his staff to follow his lead.
They carried on making their music and their impact (good or bad, it’s more up to you to decide) until 2016, where they finally began to crash and burn. One last fight, so loud it made their throats burn, snapped the final piece of string holding them together, and on that night in October they decided they were finally done—Yeseul going about cutting her contract the very next day, and Insu following suit not long afterwards. At seven years, they’re the longest group JAGUAR has housed to date, and will forever be known for never having a moment of peace between them.

She’d say she was only in it for the money, but after a while Yeseul did grow to enjoy the rush of performing, the thrill of seeing the hordes of fan after fan screaming her name and waving lighters and phone torches and lightsticks in time. It was just too bad she had to share all that fame and attention and utmost adoration from the thousands, the millions, with someone she couldn’t stand—that person being Insu, of course. The only chemistry between them was physical, and apart from that the only time they could tolerate each other was when they were either blackout drunk or having to pretend to be best friends for all the cameras that thought them to be.

Insu came to Seoul with the highest of expectations, and not a singular one of them was met. It wasn’t as if he expected fame and fortune (or even a stable job) to fall into his lap, but sleeping in saunas at eighteen was a nightmare—and got pretty cramped, too. When he was scouted he took the chance purely for the idea of the cash that came with it, even despite the years of training he undertook before it. Life as an idol was one that met most of those stupid and too-high expectations he’d set for himself as a naïve teenager, but there was just one thing that ruined it, just a little bit—Yeseul. Trying to get along with her was worse than any nights spent sleeping rough.

PART iii. act two: yoon.
Here’s a boy. One with what some would call a natural talent for music, a knack for flipping a switch that turns him into someone able to light up the room with a few jokes and a smile. What do you do? The only answer is to recruit him, obviously, but the one obstacle in the way is the fact he has zero interest in ever becoming a performer like all the star-studded ones you see on television nearly every night. So what then? The only answer for Jitae (because, really, who else would it be?) is to pester. To beg would be the real word, but pleading for a 12-year-old to join your company when you’re 11 years older than him is more than embarrassing. Whatever you want to call it, it finally worked in the end, and after four long hard years of training, YOON was what rose out of the ashes.
The only soloist to date that JAGUAR has ever debuted, YOON was a fictional South Korean singer, songwriter, and general performer. Birth name Choi Yoonhae, he was much more interested in growing up and getting a normal job than ever being an idol—but Jitae had passed him by one day and was eager to try and convince him to join them, to help them fulfil Jitae’s latest vision of a moody soloist that would capture hearts all across the country (after a few years of training, of course—debuting freshly-turned-teenagers wasn’t really their thing). Yoonhae was reluctant, but after a long, rambling conversation and a business card tucked into his pocket, he took it home and began to reconsider a little. He went back in the end and put on a more than worthy performance, and was accepted not long after that. Four years spent in the practise room day in and day out later, and YOON finally debuted with the hit mini album ‘ON: YOUTH’ which (similarly to how it had gone with JUST4U) brought in a reasonably large fanbase pretty quickly. Next was the mini album ‘RHYTHM’ in January 2013, and from there it all continued to go uphill for the singer.
There was only one problem for all his fans to pick at over the years. He released music, sure, but it was all singles—one notable one being a collaboration with JUST4U, in September 2013, after which he seemed to become much better friends with the duo—and mini albums. No full projects in sight, even as every anniversary of him being active creeped closer and closer. Some defended the choice, saying that maybe it was Yoonhae himself that didn’t feel he was ready for a full album, but most of his fans were angry on his behalf, practically demanding a longer release from JAGUAR. In reality, Yoonhae himself was sort of on the fence about the prospect. He wanted to do it, sure, but he didn’t want it to send him crashing back down to earth after he’d been enjoying a comfortable high for years at that point. So he continued to agree to the mini albums and singles that were set forward to him and thought over the album all the while.
Besides, he had other things to worry about other than putting a whole album together. He had to watch out for his recently-employed younger sister, had to keep an eye out for his younger trainee cousin every once in a while and make sure he was holding up fine. Other responsibilities to handle, other relationships to maintain, other bad habits to feed. He avoided putting out a full album until he really couldn’t any longer—which, in a stroke of good luck for him, lined up with a time he felt he finally had enough songs to put forward for an album anyway. March 2018 marked the release of YOON’s long-time-coming first (and, tragically, last) full album: ‘NO DRAMA.’ But, just as he’d been so worried about before putting it all together, the reception went in the opposite direction of what he’d hoped—what everyone had hoped. It tanked. Fell to the bottom of the charts, sales practically nonexistent. It didn’t even grow organically after a couple months, staying forgotten by all; including all the fans that had been begging for it only weeks before its release.
This kickstarted Yoonhae’s decline. It sent him spiralling, and the only thing he could do to stop the landing from hurting too hard was self-medicate—by day-drinking, by sleeping through schedules with his phone turned off and hands over his eyes, with empty pill packets piling up in his bathroom bin. Nobody could reach him, no matter how hard they tried. He disappeared from the public eye, ignored all the company’s calls, and on occasion skipped town to do god-knows-what in other ones. Gone was the country’s brooding heartthrob, and in his place was a washed-up star who was reaching his wits end. People thought he’d just cut his contract like JUST4U had done before him and live the rest of his life as a normal man, but Yoonhae proved them all wrong—in what was probably the worst way possible.
November 2018. Police were called to his high-rise apartment, and a few hours later they quietly left it with a body bag in tow and tape around the doorway. It wasn’t as much as a scene as you’d expect it to be, but JAGUAR did everything in their power to not let the news spread to the media for another three days—presumably to give them ample time to get all their plans for afterwards in order—before finally announcing it to the press. YOON had passed away, for reasons undisclosed. But ‘undisclosed’ never meant anything to anyone, not when you had hundreds and thousands of fans desperate for the real truth. So they did some digging, some sorts less legal than others, and not two days after the announcement the real reason was leaked. Suicide. By one of his own silk ties. Sleeping pills in the system, a bottle of white wine knocked over on the coffee table. It was the complete opposite of what JAGUAR wanted, and so they did the first thing they could to take everyone’s minds off of it—release a new boy group. BONSOIR’s predebut single dropped later that same November, and worked exactly as intended. YOON was a tragic tale for all involved, one that started high and ended.. Well. Six feet under, would be the blunt way to put it.

Notoriously private, Yoonhae was one that kept himself to himself both when it mattered and in general. He knew how to play the part of the idol everyone wanted to see pretty much perfectly, but as soon as he was off the clock it was like he was a completely different person. Reserved, blank—not exactly cold in how he acted, but certainly not the most friendly either—and all in all a pretty hard person to get a read on. He was just.. Yoonhae. Not much of a threat, not someone you should be particularly worried about having in the same room as you while you spilled all your secrets (which, for a few people, would be a large mistake on their part). Just there. Maybe that was why no one noticed the signs of him slipping further and further away, until one day he wasn’t there all all, anymore.

Au, where tkb is very unsatisfied with Zorc's vengeance services, so he's off pouting in the desert as far away from the murder basement in Kul Elna as his feet can take him. Suddenly, he's approached by a mysterious figure who introduces himself as Reseph (Ryou), the god of ashes and Zorc's younger brother.
Reseph tells Bakura that he can annul his deal with Zorc in exchange for Bakura following him as a god instead, but the thief declines the offer at first. After an especially big failure on Zorc's end, Bakura decides to find Reseph again and accept his deal.
After the deal is done, Zorc finds a new host who just so happens to be the young Pharaoh who freshly inherited the crown/Millennium Puzzle. Because Zorc is a petty bitch all the Pharaoh's men are after Bakura and Reseph now. Bakura manages to convince the public that the Pharaoh is an asshole and the status quo needs to be changed and starts a revolution with Reseph's help. They end up successfully overthrowing the throne and Bakura wins! Zorc and Atem get banished into the puzzle, and Bakura returns to Kul Elna to rebuild his village with Reseph as its guardian deity. Reseph also probably gets a bunch of followers, and Mana gets crowned Pharaoh for some reason. Something something happens, and Bakura has to sacrifice himself to fully seal Zorc away. Reseph gets depressed and seals himself away inside the Millennium Ring, hoping that one day he could be reunited with Bakura.
Three thousand years later, Bakura goes on to be reincarnated, solves the Millennium Ring (let's say it gets the og Millennium Puzzle treatment), and gets reunited with a sort of amnesiac Ryou/Reseph. They have fun adventures, and then they have to save the world from a Yugi/Atem/Zorc trio. They probably also get to dismantle another authoritarian organisation as a treat.
