@valiasims Cozy Cabin Nursery - 4t3 conversion

A trade with @suteflower again ♥

This set was super fun to convert - I actually managed to convert my first item with additive shader (the arches) and doing all the kinds of texture tricks to make almost everything recolorable with proper stencils was just the right kind of challenge!

All items were converted, including the items for medium and tall walls, not pictured, but they're there!

All BGC and with reasonable polycounts BUT the changing station needs the Store file to work properly. I'm sure you guys know where to get it ;)

The wardrobe and the shelves fit perfectly in the niches without the need of moveobjects on, but for the blanket to fit the crib well you'll need to use ALT or a mod like S3DT.

About the shelves: in the TS4 original both were just display shelves, but I made the one with the tree trunk a display and the plain one a functional bookshelf for versatility!

All recolorable EXCEPT for the stack of books, so I included all overlays in two different files.

Also, for the niches and arches, please use vertical patterns on the short and tall versions or else they will distort. It's fine for the medium versions :P

Comes with a collection file and, if you have a search mod, searching for VALIA or Deniisu will work fine!

So, after my brother has spent the whole summer trying to convince me to make a cosplay of Tabaluga, I finally started four days ago! Pics under read more:

This base took four evenings to make, I've never made a fursuit base before, but dang do I love how it came out!

The eyes are just paper placeholders, I'm gonna be lining the base and making eyes next. Just have to decide if I want 2D eyes or following ones 🤔

I'm planning on making a whole suit, gonna order fur soon... I REALLY wanna finish before Pyrkon, will try to go to next year's Eurofurence too... We'll see

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...

im editing that stupid 16k threesome fic i wrote in July to keep from going insane while preparing for my move and it sure is. something. there’s actually a lot of good stuff it’s not nearly as hokey as i remembered but i’m actually having some logistical issues editing this stupid mostly-sex-and-internal-monologue story.

the main thing but not the only thing is that I’d like to break it into three chapters but am having trouble choosing pleasing points to do so. another problem that was actually fairly interesting to figure out was “POV character (Be) watches another character (Vue) contemplate her relationship to a third one (Waz) and the writing and wording leaves ample room for interpretation on whether ‘what he thinks she feels’, ‘what she really feels’, and ‘what the author writing this feels’ are all the same or potentially of sync, rather than our POV character having perfect insight that doubles as an author tract” but i think I got that one figured out in the end

(also i originally for some reason decided to do a big stupid and edit it directly in ao3 draft form, probably thinking I’d be done in a couple days so it was fine, and you can guess what happened to it. that was so dispiriting that i abandoned it for six months. but it really is like, literally done and should get edited and uploaded)

TS4 Crystal Creations SP - 4t3 conversion

I wanted to finish this one before Halloween but alas. At least it's done!

The fancy TS4 scripted objects are just... regular surfaces in TS3. The jeweler desk works like a regular one, the sales table is a (very nice imo) dining table and the round mystical grid thing is just a pretty tray.

That said, I managed to add vertical modularity to the cube shelf :) It's... just a slot, but they do stick to each other even against a wall!

Again, the uncluttered dining table is an edit of my own and not Peacemaker's, but I -do- plan on converting his add-ons later!

The rest is all straightforward :P All BGC, recolorable, highest polycount is around 1.8k for the jeweler desk. The missing items from the pack were made by @bioniczombie already!

oh trust me ive looked into it :) im a spare time web dev/frontend engineer so it looked like a lot of fun but i dont like the IDE work sync method since it's a browser-based HTML editor, so i just got too lazy to actually code something and then merge all the files over 😭

i was thinking of trying it out though for a personal blog, but ive definitely spent too long on my 90s web styled portfolio website (professional for webdev and research stuff, not art haha) so im a little burnt out lmaooo

i do want to start a personal blog or even an interactive OC website using rlly cool jQuery functionality, etc. but ive just never gotten around to it :( if anything i'd probably opt for a github.io website since im comfortable with Git config and that kind of save workflow. thank you for the recommendation though! i will get around to it eventually 🤞
