IDW 1 Perceptor: "Someone shot at me, so I have invented a new targeting system, accompanying algorithm, and a unique personal arsenal to ensure I will never be shot again. Simple logic dictates that to achieve the highest injury avoidance rate possible, I must eliminate all armed enemies."

on the subject of bots and humans, there's an ep of g1 where perceptor makes a shrink ray. Imagine a bot using said ray to shrink to the size of their human lover, only to mess up and end up smaller than expected. The human gets to be the big one for once

Heeheehee <3 <3 <3 <3 I love it.~ G1 Perceptor is a great bot for this scenario, completely unprepared for how much the idea of him being action-figure sized would delight a human partner. And that's not just because his Studio Series figure is on my desk right now.~

The feeling of being grabbed and manhandled in such a manner is completely alien to him, and no matter how gentle you are with him he feels like your ability to carry him and force him into positions shouldn't arouse him nearly as much as it does in practice. It should feel terrifying to have his frame completely at your mercy, the tips of your now-massive fingers able to pinch and prod and bow his armor plating, forcing his legs apart, fondling his scope and his chassis. Instead the sensations leave him with an incredible headrush, buzzing with adrenaline and erotic tension like he's just stumbled off some horny roller coaster.

Other versions of Perceptor may be a bit more hard-pressed to admit how much they enjoy it, but G1 Percy (like many G1 iterations) is a lot softer round the edges emotionally. Get you a man who unironically says "Good heavens!" <3

I am obsessed with the idea of G1 and IDW Perceptor interacting.

Like… G1 Perceptor specifically takes pride in being a scientist who doesn’t need to fight to be useful. He helps the Autobots out of countless binds, and everyone knows he doesn’t fight if he can help it. He’s a scientist down to his bones, and he’s the happiest version of Perceptor we’ve seen

And IDW Perceptor literally abandoned who he once was. He nearly died and saw himself as a weakness, and decided to model himself after a Decepticon. He also seems to not be very happy, from all the trauma as a wrecker.

Would IDW see this version of himself and hate it? Pity it? Try to force G1 to change because he needs to, like he did? … Or was he always able to stay his G1 self? (Of course not, but it’s still interesting to think about)

And how does G1 see him?? I can imagine it’s less “fuck off” and more “what the heck happened??! Are you okay- oh you’re a dick now.”

Also I’ve even rotating a no-specific-continuity-version of Percy where his arc was basically the opposite of IDW - he went from a sniper and wrecker to a pacifist scientist. How would a meeting of Perceptors go with THAT version???

Rewatching Transformers G1 and I fricking love these ‘bots Beachcomber, Perceptor and the two gay architects Grapple and Hoist

For an toy-based 80s cartoon that’s pretty low on characterisation, they sure did give the secondary robots plenty of fun quirks and even have episodes in the limelight

It is set in the G1 Cartoon. Unfortunately, it has grown more character analysis then I intend. I know have much more planned for the MegaShock / MoonShock.

MegaShock is like a childhood romance in this as I am going with the Megatron Was Made and Raised to Lead the Decepticons to Overthrow the Autobots backstory from the cartoon. Except I am applying seriousness to this. Also drawing from the G1 character notes of Soundwave being a blackmailer and feared in his faction and fully willing to overthrow Megaton if needed. They both are aware he's more loyal to the Cause and his Cassettes and have a friendly working relationship as a result of understanding fully where the other stands.

Shockwave in this is the more devoted one and he and Megatron have known each other since they were young as they were both made for Decepticon war effort. Shockwave was left behind while Megatron left with Soundwave and Starscream in the same way historically a king leaves with his generals and their spouse is left behind to "hold the kingdom" and Shockwave was Guardian of Cybertron. It is known that Shockwave is the Conjunx to be and that's part of why there is absolute confidence that he won't betray Megatron and why Shockwave clung to the belief he would return.

There's going to be some deeply emotional moments previously when Shockwave discovered he was carrying and it crushed him because Megatron should have been here. During a attack from Elita's squad to steal supplies due to the recent developments, Shockwave is slower and Moonracer realizes the symptoms in her or the same in him. They get stuck together when she pushes him out of the way and have a bonding moment trapped together while Elita and Shockwave's Seekers worked to get them out. Moonracer comforts him and Shockwave has an emotional moment of weakness. This is what leads to the peace.

Moonracer as the one who saw his moment of weakness supports Shockwave throughout his carrying while everyone else is still wary of the hostile and cool attitude he gives to everyone. She barreled passed this, but respected it when he established a need for space. This led to both of them growing tender feelings as Moonracer admits her lover Powerglide too. The bond over their shared loss and Shockwave's focus switches more and more to focusing on the Decepticons left behind and the future with a child as Moonracer was encouraging.

They finally admitted to having feelings for each other after "Progeny" and Mirage were born.

And then the Earth called and it turns out both their lovers are alive.

The concept of Megs having been made to lead the decepticons has interesting implications to it

OWO on that characterization of Soundwave, I think a lot about that one

Damn, that makes sense (the leaving Shockwave being compared to a king leaving the spouse behind for their own noble duty thing)

Fascinating how Moon and Shockers got together, I'm voting Moonracer noticed first

Which, this love story gets wrenched in another direction as Earth calls and they Learn Some Shit

I don't know if this counts as a rarepair so much as a straight up crackship buuuuuuttttt I've been thinking about g1 Perceptor/IDW Perceptor. It's about IDW perceptors trauma and also like. The vibe of thinking about your past self and wanting to protect them. But they are also their own person and have their own thoughts and opinions about who you've become, and they love you for who you had to become. Idk they meet when the lost light is jumping universes or something.

Also I think it would be funny for brainstorm to get to have TWO Perceptors in the lab. Someone gets assigned to check on them every couple of days to make sure they're not destroying the universe in there

Your arms clench tight to the mesh pillow under you, the only cushioning between your chest plate and the berth. You're fortunate to have it, as every thrust forward pushes your hips further into the berth, your knees too weak to hold you up any longer. Not that it deters Perceptor in the slightest, his rhythm never faltering or slowing, as he chases the fantasy of filling you up with his transfluid.

Perceptor mumbles next to your audial, words flying from his vocalizer unbidden. You knew he had a slight... Fascination with the topic of conception, especially when it comes to repopulating Cybertron. You simply assumed it was a scientific interest, running calculations on how many Autobots would have to survive the war for a healthy, diverse population. You never knew it was more personal than that. His fantasy of filling your gestation chamber, getting you sparked up, drawing a shuddering moan from your intake.

His usually reserved, polite manner is thrown to the wayside, as you feel the paint transfer from his thighs to your aft. It has to be with how hard he's pounding into you. Your valve clenches around his spike, a startled groan coming from Perceptor, knowing other mechs will see his marks all over you. You want it so bad. You want him to get you sparked up, to fill you until you're sure to conceive. You want him to mark you inside and out.

The roil of arousal in your system feels primal, your pleasure entirely focused on that near impossible feat. That doesn't stop you from begging Percy to overload inside and give you a sparkling.
