I didn’t think I was going to win this Grand Arena match because my opponent has 4 GLs to my 1. But my Executor got 3 holds and they didn’t take out a single ship. My CLS team also got a couple of holds. And on defense, they didn’t put up anything with relics - all their defense teams were gear level 11 or lower. So I used Wampa & Savage for solo wins. They put a Home One on defense for ships, and my Malevolence had no problem there.

I guess I just assumed I’d be outclassed here because they had lower GP than me but more GLs than me, and I feel like that usually implies they have better team comps. But I guess their strategy was to put all their best teams on offense, and that ended up working out in my favor. I would have been screwed if they had put their GLs on defense. They still have 7.5 hours to try to take out my Executor, but mathematically I think it’s still a lock for me, since they didn’t have any holds and I got two solo wins. Makes me happy to see that I can hang in Bronzium.

WEEK 10: I actually ended up unlocking Bossk through achievement rewards. I still haven't gotten to his node on dark side battles, so I still have a ways to go before he's actually unlocked. In the meantime, my dark side squad is coming along. I'm almost done with Mara Jade's mods.

Something that made me chuckle recently:

To unlock Kylo's legendary alt in Galaxy of Heroes, the player first must build up basically all of the First Order characters (plus Han) to relic level - makes sense.

The characters are grouped and finishing each group earns a title.

Now have a look at the last group: It consists of the Finalizer, Emperor Palpatine, General Hux and... a random FO TIE pilot. Not even the special forces pilot, but the regular one.

The three most evil people in the First Order therefore are Palpatine, Hux and that one pilot (whom I headcanon as my OC Whirlwind).

Disclaimer: Yes, it's a game balance thing, no, it's not intended to add lore or suggest anything, yadda, yadda, blah, blah. Still funny.

WEEK 51: Should have Cara Dune up to 7 stars within the next few days. I did spend $8 on a pack of 95 shards for IG-11, which I feel okay about. I’d much rather spring for something like that than one of those “5-330” packs where technically you COULD get a full character, but statistically are more likely to get 5-7 shards.

I spent a lot of time this weekend going down my roster and assigning out as many unassigned mods as I could. My strategy is just to look at a toon’s “Best Mods” tab on swgoh.gg and apply those (with speed secondaries). I believe I’m at a point where all my characters over level 50 now have at least one of their “best” mods assigned. And that brought my unassigned inventory down below 250. I’m currently using mod energy on slicing mats.
