#my posts #video #sonic frontiers #i love it when they let you run on slopes instead of forcing you into a falling animation on a 40 degree incline #i genuinely hope they do away with the latter in future games outside of blocking you from out of bounds areas #like this is almost definitely unintentional but it feels so much better than the alternative #also as an adventure fan this makes me giddy bc it's so similar to a physics exploit in sa1 called the spindash hover #which is similarly equal parts unintended and super fun and feels natural #like. sonic could do this canonically #actually he literally does this kind of thing in the classic games #like he'll run up a slope and it will launch him like crazy #sometimes wayyy off the top of the screen lol

i'm gonna sound insane but whenever i'd play bg3 the textures wouldn't load, even after i changed the graphic settings, updated my drivers and switched my PC to "best performance". so i grew tired and was like. if it really isn't gonna load anyway i'll just set back the graphic settings to what the game recommended me in the first place (i.e mostly high and ultra settings). so even if it takes two minutes (which was the case already) when it's ready it'll be beautiful

and you know what. now the textures load. game experience: enriched

IF YOU CAN'T ENABLE CC 🌸

After today updates, I wasn't able to enable CC again. It doesn't matter how many times I closed and launched the game.

So I remembered that this had already happened to me before.

If you're going through the same problem, this is how you can fix it:

HOW TO ENABLE CC AGAIN:

1- On the game home page, in the bottom right corner of the screen, you can see what the current game version is. After today's update, mine was: 1.108.318.1020. Launch the game and check the number that appears for you.

2- In your game folder (Documents>Electronic Arts> The Sims 4) you'll find a file called "GameVersion". There will be a number.

The number in that file has to match the current game version number.

When I opened mine, it was "1.107.151.1020". So I just updated it to "1.108.318.1020" and saved. Then when I launched the game I could enable CC again.

Note 1: There's a "space" before the number in "GameVersion" (as if it were a paragraph). Keep that space. Change the numbers exactly where they are.

Note 2: If you prefer, before changing the number, make a backup copy of "GameVersion" just in case. It won't harm your game, but it's better, just to prevent and make it safer.

my macbook is old so i don't get automated OS updates anymore and steam told me it would no longer support my OS and i had to have at least 10.13 so i downloaded 10.13 and GUESS WHAT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK

#i can still launch a few games by right clicking on the icon bc they show up in a kind of quick start section #but i don't have steam create shortcuts to my games on desktop bc i don't use my desktop #so there are others i can't access bc steam is one big black screen #apparently this is happening to like all mac users so the only thing for it is to wait for valve to patch it
