Experiment KC takes the track by storm! 🏎️

I went to a convention for my second time ever over a week ago (the same one I went to last year) and had a good time! I've also been playing Disney Speedstorm for the past few months while it's been in early access; I've especially enjoyed the game's Lilo & Stitch-themed third season, 'Ohana!

I've also been wondering what I would look like as a Speedstorm Racer, so I had my good friend @angoraram design a Speedstorm-themed racing suit with some inspiration taken from the "Rainbow Warrior" suit design of legendary NASCAR Cup Series driver Jeff Gordon.

I then commissioned artist Angelo Concepcion III for a colored sketch of me wearing the suit and he was able to get it done just before the convention was over. Thank you both for your speedy drawings! 🏁

As I get older I realize more and more how incredibly helpful it was for me to get exposed to queer erotica when I was young. Had some friends who were furries and through them I got to see various kinds of queer erotica, which sexualizes and loves the human body in such profoundly different ways than cishet porn and erotica does.

It was helpful because it helped chip away at the idea of normativity, the idea that there is one central ideal towards which all things must strive.

Not in a "queer porn made me enlightened!!!" kind of sense, but in the sense that once the time came that I was ready to start confronting my internalized self-hate and body shame and insecurities, I had some ammo to work with. I wasn't going up against it alone - I could point to this art - gay male art, lesbian art, furry art, art from the transgender perspective, all of it - and know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I still had to do some work to accept it, and internalize it, but I could know because I had evidence that, yes, there are people who desire bodies like mine, and who love those bodies earnestly and viscerally.

And regardless of whether I am attracted to those people in turn, whether I want to date them or sleep with them, it means that that insidious little voice which is drilled into the back of our heads telling us that our bodies do not meet the standard of quality that qualifies us for love is, quite simply, wrong. Beauty ideals are not a universal value, and they arise from no necessary truth or rational principle, they are a series of deliberate choices made by cultures, influenced by the culture's values.

And when that culture is struggling with a history of white supremacy, with a history of systemic sexism and homophobia, when that culture is dictated in large part by the whims and interests of billion dollar corporations intent on selling Products & Services™, the choice of beauty ideal is neither neutral or healthy, and you can unmake that choice for yourself, and find something better.

Anyway, I guess my point is that porn is good for you actually, especially the gay stuff. Replace all the Marvel movies you watch with filthy Ao3 fiction and furry smut.

Fae!Dick would take one look at Talon!Dick and know. Know he’s unnatural. Wrong. Not in the way fae!dick is wrong, but something… something isn’t right with him. Somehow there’s an air of nothing about him. Like the world tries to shrink away from talon!dick, like the absolute absence of natural life.

He knows this version of himself got twisted from something human to something that is human-adjacent only in the vaguest sense of the word.

And he doesn’t like it.

Talon!dick would have a similar epiphany, but more in a “this guy is dangerous” sense. Dangerous enough to be a threat to them all. To Jason.

And… well, we all know talon!dick doesn’t take kindly to that last part lol.

I think they’d end up attacking each other because they perceive the other as a THREAT (all in caps). And it would take Talon!Dick’s Jason to stop it and at least one of fae!dick’s family.

I think Eblana and Reed are fratenal twins (because they look significantly different) but Eblana is cis and Reed is trans. Hi Wawa. I’m a 华人/SEAsian of Chinese descent interested in learning more about my heritage. Now I know where my family came from except but Great-grandpa from Dad’s side is a bit of a mystery. Dad’s side of the family are Hakka people from Guangdong, mom’s side are from Fujian. We don’t think Great-grandpa’s Hakka, at least not fully, but no one knows what he is. He might not even be Han. My dad thinks he’s Western Chinese, ‘he’s really tall and he looks like them’ he said. I asked Chinese friends and one of them said that’s probably wrong because normally it’s the Han going to Western China and not the other way around. I agree because what would a Western Chinese person be doing up in a random Guangdong mountain village? Another friend suggested he’s Shandong because they’re also known for being really tall. Do you have any idea what the truth is likely to be?

mmmm youknow.... sometimes, there is no discernible reason for the way people look. yes there is a stereotypical look of a people from a certain region, but not fitting the stereotype doesn't automatically mean they're from somewhere else!

your great grandpa might've just been a tall southerner lol (not impossible). and at this point, unless there are written records with insight, "the truth" here is probably just a family myth—something to gossip about when everyone gets together and start comparing physical attributes :P
