Last time, Android 16 thought he had the perfect solution to beating Cell. He can’t absorb your friends with his tail if he doesn’t have a tail. Unfortunately, Cell can regenerate like Piccolo, so he just grows it back. Cell is awesome.

Also, he does the thing where he waves his tail and tail juice leaks out and it burns the rocks and dirt where it lands.

From here, 16 realizes the only way to neutralize Cell is to kill him. For his part, Cell seems to fight a lot more seriously. Well, it’s hard to tell with him. I’m just going by how much glowier he is than last episode.

Cell puts 16 down and he can’t help but glance back at his quarry, 17 and 18. I gotta say, I’ve begun to appreciate the Japanese voice actor for Cell. Norio Wakamoto has a suitably rough gravelly voice for Imperfect Cell, maybe not as monstrous as Dameon Clarke’s, but he punctuates his performance with a lot of low growls. Like, every time Cell makes this face, Norio Wakamoto is probably going “Ennnneeeggggghhhhhhhhh!” It’s great.

But it costs him, because 16′s not through yet and NEWS FLASH: 16 CAN SHOOT HIS HANDS AT YOU!

Then he grabs Cell (after putting his hand back on his arm) and slams him into the ground so hard it makes a hole.

Then he takes both hands off his arms, revealing a pair of cannons in his wrists. This is terriffic.

Then he just fires down into the hole he put Cell in. 16 calls this the Hell’s Flash and it’s awesome. This whole fight is awesome. 16 only has this one battle to his name, but he makes good use of the time by displaying all these cool powers and abilities.

The Hell’s Flash is so powerful that it spreads underneath the entire island, causing energy to erupt from the surface.

On the Lookout, Goku and Gohan are monitoring the battle while they wait for Vegeta and Trunks to come out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. At this stage, they really have no idea what’s going on, since they can’t sense any ki from Android 16. All they know is that someone must be fighting Cell and they seem to have him on the ropes.

When the dust settles, 17 and 18 finally begin to realize that 16 was the strongest one the whole time.

16 tells them... again... to run away from this place, but they still won’t listen. They figure the battle’s over now, but 16 assures them that it isn’t. He thinks he’s damaged Cell, but he won’t give up so easily, so 17 and 18 are still in great danger.

But 17 won’t listen. He really, really wants to pay Cell back for beating him up earlier, and he figures that if the three of them work together, they can finish off a wounded Cell without much trouble. So he calls out to Cell, daring him to show himself.

And that explains this scene here, which always confused me. In the dub, 17 acts like Cell’s already dead, so he just talks about how the three of them are going to do whatever they want from now on. So when Cell rises up from a hole behind 17, you see 17 angrily looking around from side to side, but it’s not clear why.

The reason is because, in the Japanese script, 17 thinks Cell is still lurking around, and he’s waiting for him to show himself so they can resume the fight. That’s why he’s looking around so intently, never suspecting that Cell is closer than he thinks.

And this is Cell’s master stroke in this fight. He couldn’t outpower 16, so he used stealth instead, getting close enough to 17 that he could absorb him before 16 could intervene.

16 rushes to save the poor guy, but it’s already too late.

I mean, I guess 16 could grab Cell in a bearhug and maybe squeeze 17 back out of his tail.

So that’s it, then, right? Wrong, this episode’s just getting started. Next, we’re treated to one of the best transformation scenes in the whole show. We see an image of 17 falling into the abyss of Cell’s eye.

Then Cell starts flashing.

His feet change shape.

Here’s what he looks like about halfway. It’s awesome. Cell’s the best. Hands down.

16 realizes it’s too late to save 17 and it’s waaaayyyy too late to stop Cell, so all he can do is remind 18.... yet again... that she needs to run away. To be fair, I can understand her hesitation this time. This is a pretty messed up thing to witness.

And at last, Cell stands transformed into... Semiperfect Cell. This form is also known as “Second Form Cell”, but I like the way “semiperfect” sounds. Interestingly, this form doesn’t have wings. I don’t know why they went away, and I don’t know why they came back for the third form.

16 tries to grab 18 and drag her to safety, but Cell is so fast now that he cuts them off before they can reach the other side of the island.

Tien can see the writing on the wall. 16 was the only one left who could fight Cell, and he failed. Now, Cell’s even stronger and faster, so there’s nothing to save 18 at all.

I was curious to see how Norio Wakamoto’s performance would change when Cell transformed, and he sounds much less grim and brutal than before. His Semiperfect Cell seems a little brighter and more eloquent, although that’s hard for me to judge, since I can’t understand Japanese. I don’t think the actual voice is any different though, where Dameon Clarke switched from this raspy bug voice to a booming, brutish voice.

16 tries to fight, but that’s just as useless as flight at this point. The punch does nothing.

Cell counters with a ki blast...

... which damages the right side of 16′s cranium.

With 16 down, there’s absolutely no reason for Cell not to move on to absorbing 18. Of course, he licks his lips, because he’s a disgusting creep, and also he just got lips, so this is his big chance to try ‘em out.

But 18 threatens to self-destruct, using a bomb implanted in her own body. Cell responds by speaking with 17′s voice. He claims--posing as 17-- that 17 actually likes being part of Cell, and he wants 18 to join them. 18 is nearly convinced, until Cell overplays his hand and has “17″ refer to Dr. Gero as “Dr. Gero-sama.”

18 reveals that she and 17 despised Gero for converting them into cyborgs. At least, I assume that’s what she means by “reconstructing”. It’s weird, because Gero genuinely seemed to have no idea what made 17 and 18 so rebellious. He blamed it on their energy supply, which never made any sense to me, and he kept claiming that he could resolve the problem by reprogramming them. Meanwhile, the answer was staring him in the face the whole time. They didn’t want to be turned into cyborgs, so naturally they were going to resist him every step of the way. Of course, Cell would have no idea about any of that, so his bluff is doomed.

On the other hand, Cell has decided that he should call 18′s bluff as well. Even if she really does intended to destroy herself, he’s betting that he’s fast enough to stop her before it comes to that. And if he’s right, then she’s all out of options. Z stands for the end.

But not yet. There’s still one more guy who can step up to the plate.

Tien’s nowhere near strong enough to hurt Cell, but is Ki Ko Ho technique is still powerful enough to keep him pinned down for a moment. So Tien uses it over and over again, figuring that this will buy the androids time to escape. The only problem with that is that the Ki Ko Ho drains the life energy of the user. Using it once is dangerous. Tien died in the Saiyans Saga, but it wasn’t because Nappa or Vegeta killed him. Tien killed himself when he tried to take out Nappa with this same move. And now, Tien is spamming it. This can’t even well for him.

And that’s the Imperfect Cell Saga. It kicks ass. You’ve got the best Dragon Ball villan ever, plenty of suspense and intrigue, a nice horror vibe, and then it all wraps up with a series of quick, intense battles for the fate of the world. It doesn’t get much better.

If not, the synopsys is that an old doctor finds a cyborg bust in a scrapyard of trash that is dumped everyday by the floating city above, called Zalem. In your latest musing you mentioned something about trash being dumped from Atlas. What would you think if Upper Atlas were similar and it would dump trash in a scapyard, in Lower Atlas? And the workers there making use of it however they can?

It wouldn’t surpriseme if something like that were possible with Atlas. It’s funny. Folks keepreferring to Atlas by Upper and Lower. Wouldn't Upper Atlas technically be just Atlas while the lower sector is the remnants of Mantle?

That’swhat I assumed it was. The lower city being Mantle below, unless I am deeplymistaken. I like the idea of Atlas dumping their trashinto Mantle with the People of Mantle living the life of scavengers;only managing to survive due to their resourceful nature by crafting workingmachinery and equipment from whatever scraps of and parts they managed tosalvage and/or pilfer from the junkyards dumped from Atlas.

It’dbe interesting if Atlas has become rather snobbish and discriminatory towardtheir Mantlese brethren over the years to the point that they don’t even donate their broken or unused materials to Mantle’scitadel, only granting them use of whatever they can scavenge from the massivepiles of junk they dump into their kingdom periodically. Like the rich andelite only granting charity to the poor by allowing them to take what they canfrom their trash bins for the week and considering that an act of generosity.

Imagine if … the Atlesians are the typeswho have grown so spoilt from their riches that they no longer see worth in their products anymore. To Atlas, it’s allabout advancement.Forwardever, backward never and when theold outdates the new, the old is disposed of so that the new can rise up andthrive. Take over even and lead them successfully towards a bright future. Itwouldn’t surprise if that is the mantra of Atlas because that is precisely whathappened with Atlas and Mantle’s history. Atlas rose up to the point that it overshadowed Mantle and rather than aid those left behind intheir predecessor kingdom, it seems that Atlas has lost all touch with itsroots.

Allthe more reason why I’m digging the concept of the People of Mantle being scavengers—thegood kind who see worth ineverything around them, since their generations have been forced to survive onso little for so long and thus become more adaptive and more appreciative ofwhat they have and cherish. And becauseof that, they are able to make wonders with what bit they can use from the UpperWorld.

Thisalso makes me think of a really cool hunch I have concerning Penny Polendina’sfather/creator. For the sake of my musings, I’m going to refer to him as Dr. Japheth Polendina until his official canon name is revealed. If mymemory serves correctly, Gepetto isthe Italian form of the name Japheth whichis a name of Hebrew origin meaning ‘expansion’.

I think Japheth is afitting pseudo-name for Dr. Polendina since my assumption is that he is a greatand well-renowned scientist and inventor in Atlas whose inventions hascontributed towards the kingdoms’ advancement. Makes sense, right? Beyond that,another theory I have is Dr. Polendina is unlike a lot of Atlesians . Itwouldn’t surprise me if Dr. Polendina, like many from his generation (MariaCalavera and Nicholas Schnee) was born after the Great War and contributedtowards Atlas taking over from Mantle.

Howeverunlike other Atlesians who seem to have discarded theirMantlese heritage and traditions, Dr. Polendina still holds stubbornly onto his.I like the irony of Dr. Polendina being old-fashioned despite being the inventor of so many creationsthat helped Atlas move forward. I think that could be a cool contrast to hischaracter. I like the idea of Dr. Polendina being a smart yet modest and humbleold man (maybe even a lil cuckoo for coco puffs), who doesn’t just create foradvancement but rather help humanity because he genuinely sees wonder and value in everything around him. Despite it being a traditionhis younger associates don’t understand and have tried to beat out of him foryears, y’know since they all mostly consider him a fossil and only keep himaround for his unique genius. Nonetheless Dr. Polendina sees worth in everything—includinga lifeless robotic husk he treated and loved like a daughter. That’s my theoryfor Dr. Polendina if you or anyone who were ever curious.

Ithink an anon-ninja once asked me what elements of Gepetto/Pinocchio I think will be incorporated in V7. Well I thinkthat’s one of them. I’d love to think that Japheth also shares a history with Arthur Watts.I can’t help this nagging hunch I have that Arthur Watts was probably the formerapprentice of Dr. Polendina who he loved like a son.

Inthe Pinocchio tale, Geppetto was an elderly woodcarver whoseemed to not have any former children of his own hence why he createdPinocchio and wished for him to be a real boy.

Imagine if it was the same for Dr.Polendina. Whatif… Japheth was a man who had dedicated his life so much toadvancing Atlas that he never got the chance to have the thing he wanted morethan anything—a family or at least someone to love him like one. Picture Japheth living a depressing life where he losttouch with his former family in Mantle and the closest thing to a family he hadin Atlas was a former apprentice who he cherished like the child he never had whoended up betrayinghim before disappearing entirely,believed to be dead (i.e. Dr. Arthur Watts) and lastly, Penny—the android heloved like a daughter but also ultimately lost.

Ican go on and on about my theories for Dr. Polendina but that’s the theory Imainly wish to share here. As you brought up Alita, it made me think ofsomething interesting. I have this Penny-centric theorywhere as soon as our heroes arrive in Atlas, they soon discover, much toRuby’s shock and disgust that Penny was made into a line of sentient service androidswho was being mass produced and sold to the People of Atlas.

Picture Detroit Become Human but with just Penny asthe sole android series. RWBY Chibi S2 kindof teased the concept of Penny being sold as a doll. So what ifthat will be the case for V7? What if…in current Atlas, Penny is now a popular brand of service androiddolls sold to the Atlesian public to perform many different roles insociety. Picture Penny being like the Barbie Doll of Atlas exceptthat she’s a life-sized sentient machine. Picture all kinds of Penny models beingsold each programmed with a series of different functions tailor made to fitwhatever role her user/buyer bought her to perform.

Imagine Ruby standing in acity populated with different Pennies—-Waitress Penny, Nurse Penny, Traffic Cop Penny, TourGuide Penny, etc.—who all look and sound just like Ruby’s Pennybut isn’t her. And what’s even more horrifying to Ruby is what Penny’s legacyhas dissolved into. Back in V3 I believe, Penny told Ruby that she wasoriginally made to protect Remnant. She was made to be a hero. The first of her kind tobe used to protect humanity.

Imagine howmuch of an insult it would be if this is what Ruby finds out Atlasdid to her friend after she was murdered. Not remember her as a hero butbasically a living toy to beused and abused as her consumers feel.

That’sinsane!Which is all the more reason why I want this theory to come true. I was askedlong ago by a FNDM fam about how Ruby would feel if she saw Penny locked away insidesome pod inside a laboratory. I never got around to actually answering that questionbecause Tumblr buried the original response post I was going to edit. If thatuser happens to read all of my answer posts, here is my answer to your questionnow.

Ontop of Atlas mass producing Penny and treating her like a plaything rather than the heroshe was meant to be, you wanna know my theory for what they did with originalPenny?

Myhunch is that originalPenny is put in the trash. Meaningthat after her body was returned to Atlas, there was a meeting between themembers of the Atlas Council debating on whether or not the military projectPenny was born from should be terminated or not. Even though Ironwood is the mainauthoritarian from Atlas that we’ve met so far, I’d like to think there is another topleader calling the shots whoIronwood actually serves under.

Ifthe Atlas Council is anything like Vale’s, then there are at least threemembers on the council governing the Kingdom. From what I remember back in V4,Ironwood says he holds two seats on the council. This leaves the third and lastseat and it’s here where I think we’ll have a new authoritarian character who Ironwoodlistens to.

Basicallyit was this Atlas Council Member introduced and signed off on the idea ofturning Penny into a doll to be sold to the public. I don’t know of any puppet masters in any knownfairy tales but perhaps this Councilman, as I’ll refer to him in mymusings, could be based off of the Coachman from Pinocchio. In the 1883 book TheAdventures of Pinocchio, the Coachman was a villain who kidnapped children tobring them to Toy Island in which the bad children turned into donkeys.

IfFNDM fam thought General Ironwood was a cross due to his deep authoritarian waysand leadership then imagine someone worse than Ironwoodbut lacking the compassion. Picture… the Councilman being the type to make ajackass out of the General Ironwood since Ironwood generally has torun everything by him and the Councilman has Ironwood wrapped around his pinkie,especially now that he hasn’t been well—psychologically. I actually kinda digthis idea.

Sothe Councilman convinces Ironwood that the best way to dissolve the mess the Vytalescapade left on the military and the People of Atlas following Beacon is to turnPenny into a doll series—allowing her to fulfil the purpose she was made for.Serving humanity by serving humanity as a service doll. There are even Penniesbeing used by the military.

WhileDr. Polendina wouldn’t sign off on something like this—imagine it being oneof those uncomfortable scenarios where one’s hand is forced because they arebacked into a corner by people trying to either bullyor manipulate them. In the case of Japheth, it was both theCouncilman trying to bully him into doing his job for the military and Ironwood,though sympathetic towards the doctor and his loss, still trying to somewhatemotionally manipulate the man into doing as he and the Councilman ordered byusing Penny and the reasons she was made in the first place as his motive.

It’snot a nice game but in the end, against his wishes, Dr. Polendina had no choicebut to hand over his research and the original body of Penny and concur as themilitary—mainly the Councilman did what they pleased with her.

Andin the end, once they were done, they didn’t even have the common courtesy toreturn Penny to her father. Instead, like many things in Atlas, Penny wasdiscarded and her remains ended up in the junkyards near Mantle. I even have away RWBY canincorporate Monstro into the Atlas Arc. You know how in Pinocchio,Gepetto got swallowed by the giant whale?

Wellwhat if…at some point, the heroes visit Lower Atlas on their voyage towards Mantle. Mytheory is that at some point during the Schnee Family Affairsstoryline of the Atlas Arc, Weiss will go in search of her missing grandfatherNicholas Schnee and her searches will take her and her friends down from Atlasinto Mantle’s depth. During their voyage, the group end up in the junkyardsbelow.

Apparently,people aren’t allowed to go in the junkyards. Part of it is due to Atlas being stingy towards Mantle even with their junk and anotheris for the reason that there is a massive Grimm known to roam the junkyards.That monster is GrimmMonstro—a colossal land whale type Grimm that burrows undergroundand swims through the sea of garbage in the junk piles looking for anyunsuspecting victims to rise up and swallow.

I have this idea where Ruby andOscar are swallowed alive by Grimm Monstro and it’s in the belly of the Grimm where Ruby discovers Penny’s originaldestroyed body. Perhaps…as a better alternative, that’s how she and Oscargot swallowed in the first place. Ruby spots OG Penny while in the junkyard.Goes off on her own to retrieve her despite Oscar’s initial warnings that somethingfelt off about the junkyard however Ruby ignores hisadvice. Ruby makes it to Penny’s body in time for Grimm Monstro to rise up.Oscar jumps in to rescue Ruby. The two try their best to outrun the giant Grimmbut end up getting swallowed alive. That could be FREAKING EPIC!

Little Red Riding Hood and PrincessOzma working together to escape Monstroand save themselves plus Pinocchio is a future RWBY episodeI’d love to see for Atlas. YES PLEASE! Sign my ass up!

Andif all that comes true, we could even get Ruby and Oscar working together to revive original Penny.

Ifmy theory about Oscarawakening his inner mechanic and inventor comes to fruition, imagine Ruby begging Oscar to help her revive her formerfriend using his skills. Knowing and fully understanding how much this means toRuby, Oscar accepts and the two rosebuds get to work together. I would lovethis so much!

Ithink this could be really cool especially if after Penny gets successfully restoredthrough Oscar’s know-how, she starts calling Oscar ‘brother’. I’ll give you three veryimportant reasons why I love this idea.

Firstly,I’ve seen some fans comparing Oscar to Penny so me, being the proud Pinehead and Polendiva (Penny Polendina fan) that I amstarted to dig the idea of Penny and Oscar having a brother-sister dynamic.Like after Oscar helps rebuild her, Penny starts treating him like he was her big brother.Not father since Dr. Japheth is her father.

Secondly,I like Penny calling Oscar ‘brother’ because of the obvious, very on the nosecall back to FMA. Come on! You know how much I love those.

Andlastly, I love this idea because it appeals to another Pinehead headcanon I have where Oscar becomes an apprentice under Dr. Polendina anddevelops a father/son bond with the old inventor. I did say I wantedOscar to have a godmother type character who adopts him in Atlas. Perhapsinstead of a fashion designer, it’s an genius inventor who acts as hisgodfather.

Penny andDr. Polendina both adopting Oscar into their family = HELLA FREAKING YES.

OOf. I gots another AU, everyone. Sorry.

Technically, I’ve got another roughly seven or so because Detroit: Become Human is just begging for crossover AUs with other fandoms. This one is a Merlin: Become Human AU. Some info is in the really quick doodles I did above. The rest will be below the cut so I don’t clutter people’s dashes.

HOO Boi, you fool! Clicking on that keep reading link, welcome to my hell. My brain won’t stop churning these out and apparently you want in on that. I’ll hit you with what I’ve been thinking about regarding this so far. I welcome discussion. If you’ve got ideas relating to this or want to participate with me, go ham in the comments or make your own post and just tag me or use Merlin:Become Human AU in the tags so I can see how you’ve expanded on it!

General Premise:

Merlin is an android (not sent by Cyberlife). He’s actually an independent prototype, unlicensed and unregistered, created by a disgruntled former Cyberlife employee (Gaius) who felt that Androids and their AI had reached a point that they should be recognized as an intelligent species with their own rights. Cyberlife disagreed and Gaius left the company because of what he perceived as their immorality. Gaius, now working on his own in the middle of nowhere with no oversight, makes the one of a kind Merlin. Merlin is designed to look and act incredibly human, even moreso than most androids. His programming, in particular, is designed to heavily encourage deviation and machine learning in the hopes that Merlin will advance so far beyond his original coding that he is virtually unrecognizable when compared to how he began, emulating the kind of growth that makes humans seem so alive. Another feature Merlin is programmed to have in order to appear more human is the ability to change how old he appears to be (to reflect on Merlin’s frequent age changing shenanigans in the original show). Merlin is also given an atypically large amount of information about technology and programming so that he can have the ability to grapple with his own existence in the same way humans do when studying biology, psychology, or neurology. What this means, though, is that Merlin is able to accomplish feats akin to magic (heh) with technology. Probably even reprograms himself on occasion or changes his own hardware just because he can.

So Merlin is born and he’s a pretty great success. Gaius feels as though he really is living with a petulant, sassy late teens/early 20s human being. Sometimes, he genuinely forgets Merlin is an android. So does Merlin. These two are out in the middle of nowhere living their best life with a few others (maybe Hunith-- good mother figure for Merlin, could be andoird or human). This eventually develops into Merlin having to go to High School or college. Maybe Merlin watched too much TV with that setting and became unbearably curious and annoying about going, maybe Gaius wanted to prove that humans and androids could not only coexist but it’d be so incredibly seamless that no one would even notice anything-- maybe a little bit of both. High School or College are good settings for Merlin to test out his immersion because of his own youthful demeanor (aka abundance of snark and attitude).

MERLIN GOES TO SCHOOL.

I think we all know what happens from here.

Merlin arrives at his first day of school to a scene of Arthur and some other kids knocking around an android who is gardening on campus. Merlin gets pissed and intervenes, because while he’d seen stuff about people hating androids on the net, he’d never experienced it in real life. Arthur tells Merlin to back off and that he and his friends can do whatever they want to the android because his family can pay the school for damages to their property since his family is rich. Merlin gets sassy (”You sure you can afford that? I’d assume that if you had enough money to replace an android, you’d have enough to fix your awful personality.”) Conversation continues, maybe roughly in the vein of:

Arthur: “Dude, chill. This thing is just an object. Why are you getting so pissy about this?”

Merlin: “Do you even know the first thing about androids? Because my bet is no.”

Arthur: “Excuse me, I’ll have you know I’m--”

*Merlin shoves everyone away from the android so he can examine the gardener and finds both the audio and visual processing units are damaged (the ones that Marcus damaged in the one scene, spoilers? I’m trying to be vague don’t mind me).*

Merlin: “You damaged this android’s __ and __. He has completely lost the ability to see and hear and yet you keep kicking him. I don’t suppose any of you remember the last group of humans that found fun in assaulting the disabled.”

Merlin probably insults the intelligence of Arthur and all of his friends (well, I can’t say I’m surprised. None of you look like someone passing history class). Arthur fires back about Merlin being a bleeding heart or some shit. Arthur reveals he is the son of the politician leading the anti-android movement. Now that Arthur knows this new guy is an android-apologist, Arthur declares Merlin had better watch his back. Merlin gives him a sassy response in the way of that not being how a politician’s son should behave, probably. From there on Merlin and Arthur frequently but heads over the treatment of androids and androids’ rights.

There will, of course, be other shenanigans going on. Merlin is going to be incredibly odd, as he learned how one acts in High School/College from TV and maybe webcomics so he has trouble fitting in at first. He definitely makes friends though, because that’s just who Merlin is. Eventually, he’ll also stumble into Arthur’s friendship, although at this point I have no idea how.

Last thoughts:

These are my less developed ideas, although the above can hardly be called developed either.

Being an android is parallel for being a magic user. Hence Merlin being an android disguised as a human who is standing up for android rights.

Morgana is probably an android, assuming we stick to this idea. She might not know it or just be hiding it, but Uther would know and it would be a prime highlight of the hypocrisy he is known for. Morgana would likely also be a very unique android, possibly a gift from Cyberlife to Uther. Finding out that she is an android could be a great moment of tension for both Morgana and Arthur as their confidence in the man they believed to be their father was shaken.

Ooo, what if Morgana was an experimental android in aging technology. She was gifted to Uther as a baby and every year she has a “check-up” where her AI is transplanted into a slightly larger android body to mimic the process of growing up. She could be unconscious during these check ups and hence it would be perfectly natural for her not to realize that she is an android. As for why Uther would accept this gift, I have no idea.

Because of Merlin’s ability to change the age he appears, it would make sense if Gaius was the head of the project Morgana was the android of before he left. Gaius could be the expert on aging technology in androids. It could be that seeing the humanity in Morgana as she slowly grew up alongside her human brother was what pushed Gaius over the edge in demanding that androids be seen as human because he feared what would happen to Morgana if the public ever found out.

Some kind of android purge taking place in the story, possibly due to the events in Detroit, would be a great arc for the characters where everyone has a new conflict to worry about. Whether or not Arthur knows how many of his closest friends and family members are androids at this point-- I have no idea. I want to see Arthur agressively protecting Morgana, but at the same time an enthusiatic Arthur participating in the purging until he discovers his own sister should be the target of his rage would be an incredibly palpable moment and just-- there is a lot to consider.

So yeah. That’s roughly where I am now with all of this. If you want to expand on this, do it. I want to hear other people’s ideas. I have no idea when I’m going to post about this specific AU again, because I’ve got six other D:BH AUs I want to just throw out here into the void first, but seeing other people’s theories and thoughts on things like this always gets me energized.

***How Sweet is a Sugar Daddy (10/10): At first this art might be a put off, but the artist grows stronger and the story hooks you. Interested, he sets up a fake account for himself and becomes instantly smitten with one user, Fanboy. Their love is pure and beautiful as they constantly support each other through any struggles. ***30 Days With You (9/10): Iro is a young super genius that has started his own company. With his exceptional skill of creating machines he designs sex bots that accompany wealthy people for 30 days. He has grown tired of the monotony of his everyday life until a man named Rene appears and wants a sex bot. However, he doesn’t plan to have sex with the bot, but learn about them so that he can further his career. Iro disguises himself as a sex bot and goes home with Rene. ***Following Namsoo To the Bathhouse (8/10): Minjae couldn’t help but be curious about the mysterious man on the bus that smelled of soap. After following the man on a whim Minjea learns that the man works in his family’s bathhouse. Soon clothes are coming off and Minjae experiences the best bath and massage of his life. Now he can’t forget Namsoo and finds himself becoming a frequent client of the bathhouse. This manhwa started strong, but then it felt like the plot started faltering as their relationship turned into something like sex friends. Comedy, Drama, Slice of Life, Mature

***Scent of a Witch (9/10): For the third prince of Uren there is no thrill like the thrill of the chase. After traveling outside of his kingdom to the dreaded witch country he stumbles across a beautiful women. It’s said that under the full moon the old witch hags turn into beautiful women to seduce men and kill them. However, the prince isn’t afraid as he seduces the beautiful women. Little does he know that the beautiful women isn’t a hag like the rest of them, but a young male witch. Supernatural, Mystery, Drama, Gender Bender, Royalty, Historical

They Are a Couple (9/10): First loves never last they say, but for famous celebrity, AoYue, that is not the case. He has cherished his experience with a beautiful girl when he was younger, and since then he hasn’t loved anyone else. However, now he is struggling with his career and his company has created a last ditch plan of forming a boy idol group. Little does he know that one of the members of the group was actually the little girl he fell in love with during his childhood in disguise. This manhwa has really strong Love Stage! vibes to me, but it’s still really cute as it progresses. They fall in love slowly and genuinely start to care about each other. Because of You (7/10): Tells the story of a man’s unrequited love for his childhood friend while they were growing up. Afterwards, Se Woong gives up on love and believes he’ll be alone for the rest of his life. That is until his unrequited love moves in next door and Se Woong falls in love with his crush’s son. Slice of Life, Tragedy, Age gap, Drama, Romance

***Hogu Hagyeongsu (7/10): Where do I begin? This one is not for the weak of heart. Kyung-soo was once raped by his boyfriend and his friends, and since then he has spent time trying to forget that night. As soon as it seems he has his life together he starts falling for a regular at the store he works at. However, his plans of getting his life back together get derailed when he is threatened by his previous boyfriend. He is soon kidnapped and enslaved as per his old boyfriend’s wishes. He flips back and forth between his old and new love trying to determine who he loves more. During the struggle his previous boyfriend’s brother attacks him. Tragedy, Rape, Dark, Mystery
