Earthquake of 6.5 Magnitude Near Tonopah: Many Parts of US 95 Affected

Earthquake of magnitude 6.5 is observed near Tonopah. No major damage to Tonopah yet confirmed Update, 7:40 hrs. According to Nye County Public Information Officer Arnold Knightly, there have been no major damage from the earthquake or its aftershocks at Tonopah so far. Traffic is diverted off US 95 due to damage from the earthquake Update, 7:30 hrs. According to the Office of the Esmeralda County Sheriff, traffic is currently being redirected off from US 95 onto NV 360 at Mina, near the confirmed epicenter of the quake. According to the Mineral County Sheriff's Office no damage was reported in nearby Hawthorne from the earthquake. Quake upgraded to 6.5 and destroyed many parts of US 95 Update, 7:06 hrs. Several portions of US 95 have been hit early this morning by a major earthquake in central Nevada. The quake, which the United States Geological Survey upgraded to a magnitude of 6.5, occurred along the highway between Tonopah and Hawthorne. Images of the damage posted to the Office of the Esmeralda County Sheriff indicate a large fracture in at least two stretches of the highway. One, looking down the lane, seems to show that the lane has slightly moved sideways. The sheriff's office said travelers are advised to use caution on US 95 and expect delays. المملكة العربية السعودية تتعرض لزلزال كبير في صباح اليوم الجمعة

من الجدير ذكره ان المملكة العربية السعودية قد تعرضت لزلزل كبير في صباح اليوم الجمعة و ذلك في منطقة شمال المناص التي تقع في جنوب المملكة العربية السعودية  ، حيث شعر المواطنين في هذه المنطقة بهزة متوسطة و قد نتج عنها تحطم في بعض زجاج النوافذ ، كما اعلنت هيئة المساحة الجيولوجية السعودية ان قوة هذا الزلزال قد وصلت لحوالي 4 درجات من خلال مقياس ريختر ، كما اعلنت ايضا علي ان الهزة الارضية هذه كانت علي عمق يصل لحوالي 9 كيلو متر .و اما عن الزلزال المتوقع وفق ما اعلنت عنه وكاله المسح الجيولوجي الامريكية (U.S. GeologicalSurvey) يتراوح شدته في الاساس ما بين 9 الي 10 درجات من خلال مقياس ريختر و سوف يضرب هذه المنطقة و من الملاحظ ان يكون تأثيره مدمر بشكل كبير

و كانت وكالة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية (U.S. تGeologicalSurvey) كانت قد اعلنت منذ فترة علي ان هناك زلزال سوف يضرب منطقة شبه الجزيرة العربية و دول الخليج العربي ايضا و العراق و ايران و بعض دول شرق افريقيا ، كما من المتوقع وفق ما تم الاعلان عنه ان تصل قوة هذا الزلزال وفق مقياس ريختر لحوالي 9 درجات حتي يصل الي 10 درجات وفق ما اعلنت عنه وكاله الجيولوجيا الامريكية .حيث حذرت وكالة المسح الجيولوجي الامركية كل من العراق و دولة الكويت و البحرين و قطر و الامارات العربية المتحدة و وسط السعودية و شمال شرق عمان ايضا من هزات ارتدادية سوف تصل قوتها لحوالي 5 درجات و بالتالي هي تصبح كفيلة الي ان تدمر البنية التحتية بما فيها من طرق وشوارع و جسور و محطات و ابراج الكهرباء ايضا و جميع المنشات العامة
