hm one thing im not happy with on the original post is i said the staff hate campaign has been going on longer than the transandrophobia debate and then immediately talk abt matt maybe being the source, but i don't actually know how long he's been CEO, nor do i have the best sense of time regarding how long the transandrophobia thing has been going on, i was just going off of the fact that it just. feels like that's the order of events as i remember them. but also i mean i guess that is. actually just how remembering things works now that i think about it? i may be overthinking this

trying to write something about how much i hate the ‘misandry in utena/the utena fandom’ crowd but it feels kind of redundant to me. i think i just don’t consider people who use the word ‘misandry’ serious people. i do however feel an obligation to occasionally make my position clear on that front, because im aware i tougapost and some people love to bring that guy up as the misandry in the utena fandom poster boy. which is so fucking stupid because touga is not victimised by ‘misandry’, touga is victimised by homophobic violence which is wrapped up in misogynistic violence, both of which are the cogs in the machine we call patriarchy. touga is not affected by misogyny in the same way that anthy is, that’s one of the key takeaways you can get from their being foils, and i don’t really like the whole ‘oh patriarchy hurts men too’ stuff because it neglects the fact that men reap so many material benefits from what some people deem ‘harm’ to them (emotional repression being the big one. it’s not great but when you’re the privileged party and gain power from it, who cares? it’s like the inverse of kozue trying to use sexuality to gain power: she can’t do that). but touga is a shitty dysfunctional person who has been shaped by violence and in turn perpetuated violence, and his character excels, imho, at examining how patriarchy functions and attempts to homogenise life’s many complexities. same deal as nanami really. they just play different roles in this gender essentialist nightmare that crunches out any grit. and you can extend that idea to all rgu characters but i am who i am and that is a kiryuu siblings enjoyer

its really interesting to me how the resident vampires in general of gg and bb have such completely different ideologies. mostly in reference to slayer and rachel but i think this somewhat extends to clavis also bc iirc he wasnt an observer but still kinda played by the same rules. theres at least a plot reason for rachel not to stick her nose into anything plotwise but she still kinda does anyway and i think even if she didnt have the bystander restrictions she wouldnt deign to interact with anyone all that often. i like the dichotomy of the alucards' general attitudes towards humans being at least moderately scornful and superior to some extent even if not actively despite still ultimately wanting to help out (mostly rachel tbh but theres still elements of the typical fiction vampire superiority complex type shit just in general vibes wise for all three of them, esp in relation to like. fuzzy) and slayer's attitude that humanity is a beautiful thing and wanting to help the people he comes across despite having no particular incentive to do so aside from personal fascination and goodwill. rachel already built in having some level of scorn for humans as lesser and also having ample incentive to never interfere with the main storyline as it carries out but doing it anyway because despite these things she still cares despite the active threat to her Literal Existence vs slayer having no skin in the game either way if he does or doesnt help anyone out but still deciding to try to help others find their way regardless just because if nothing else its the most interesting thing to do from his perspective. he has no external motivation TO or NOT TO interfere with anything, its just essentially long term people watching and hed rather do good than do nothing

I just had a dream where I was in Storybrooke and Snow and I were trying to hide a horse from Rumple (not Gold. His scaly lizard form). Then he (along with a crowd) caught up to us and we were begging him not to take the poor horse. But he says it's the last horse in his Bingo card. (Huh?)

He said it was pure... Then somebody shouted, "Why not take Sweetfoot, then?" Then Dunk busts in through a wall and yells, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH SWEETFOOT!"

Rumple says he won't because he needs a pure dark heart. And "Oh no, time's almost up." The horse we were protecting started smoking, vibrating, and making weird noises that got louder and louder.

Then I woke up. My phone was vibrating and making said "weird noise". Thankfully, not smoking. It was my alarm.

Oh, sure!

For the preferences I'm uh. Between Sun/Moon I refuse to choose? I see them as a set, Do Not Separate, and it feels unfair to choose between them. I'm very enthusiastic about healthy sleep, and own unholy amounts of glitter glue and other craft supplies, so it really just works out for a match. I love Eclipse too! Though I see him as separate*, not as intrinsically linked into the set, and given that Sun and Moon are the "originals" they win out over Eclipse**!

In regards to AU preferences that's already one point then, though uh. I've kind of made half a brand out of being entirely insane over also Naff's Cryptid Sightings Sun/Moon/Eclipse - all three just one being in this one, and big dangerous cryptid soft for one human is simply too much of a weakness.

Them being caretakers is always a plus, because I love the trope of caretaker confronted with being taken care of, does not compute (literally, in their case) and also just. Animatronic existence and the conflict it creates (not necessarily fighting, but the surrounding circumstances in the world, misunderstandings, getting to know each other and growing closer while exploring and appreciating differences as well as similarities, and how these intertwine) is my favorite, though as long as it's human and non human interaction I'm going to be fascinated tbh. As a queer neurodiverse person accepting and cherishing differences, and taking the time to truly understand the other is simply my bread and butter

I suppose I should also say I like my own AU boys too? I mean, obviously, I created them! Though honestly, there are so many versions and interpretations of the boys and I'll eat them all up, I'm really bad at choosing, so I suppose the bottom line of all this is...

Kurumi: Florale Candy Kiss♡Berry Cute

A sweet floral fragrance mixed with the freshness of citrus. It has a scent that may make you think that it'll probably taste nice & sweet if you just taste it just for a liiiitttlle bit. Don't, that's still perfume. At this point, it looks like she's just throwing random "cute and fancy" words to make the titles. Go flex your English queen, I support! It's the only subject you don't have failing grades at after all.

Note: I did use this site to identify a general scent profile for Kurumi! I mostly selected perfumes that I think she would use, and the result is a fragrance that is sweet, citric and rosy!

Kana: Anti-Perfume

A very handy spray that can erase your scent for a certain amount of time! It's super helpful especially if some crazy sicko keeps on going after you! Ninomiya Tech should make a digital equivalent to this so you and your friends can stay safe and evade certain weirdos who has too much time on their hands.

Note: Kana has no scent at all and no external scent sticks to her as well. Even if she's a professional murderer, not even the scent of blood sticks to her. A perfume based on her would probably focus on very faint scents, it might as well just be water.

Yui: KHRe x Axe Bo//dy Spr//ay Collab

I don't know how else to say this but, it would deadass literally be a collab with Axe Bo//dy Spr//ay. This is the exact thing he sprays on himself all the time. Not this particular variation of the body spray though because he just grabs whatever he finds first in the supermarket.

By now, it should be obvious to never expect anything normal from Kana and Yui 😭😭 Kurumi please talk to your besties and tell them to cooperate!
