Hastings is such a fun character because you can see in real time the way that he DOESN'T think things through before reacting to them. He is 100% fully present and in the moment and has to actively remind himself to actually switch his brain on and use what he knows to figure out what's going on (except 90% of the time it's Poirot doing the reminding and Poirot is largely unsuccessful in that endeavor.)

#teen wolf #lydia martin #kate argent #tracy stewart #scott mccall #peter hale #jackson whittemore #derek hale #hayden romero #twedit #twgifs #mine #my gifs #twmeme #yes i'm aware that it can definitely be argued whether resurrection is a motif in teen wolf or just a recurring plot device #and while it's certainly not a symbolic motif like fire and water was previously #the way it's utilized within the show does make me read it moreso as a motif than just plot #like water it's used to communicate an internal change but the ways it differs from water is that it usually occurs at the end of a #narrative arc whereas water typically appears at the beginnings #water is used to signify a character's beginning descent into something new and the resurrection is once that change is completed #jackson's arc in season two is started with his submersion in water and it's ended with his resurrection #and lydia's arc in eichen house in 5b is much the same with her in the river in her mind at the beginning and then her dying and coming bac #at the animal clinic #even lydia's arc in season two can be read within these parameters #it begins with her in the hospital shower as she digs hair out of the water and ends when she resurrects peter #so while yes there is a reversal there and lydia isn't the subject of the resurrection she is the agent of it #which honestly the same can be said for theo in 5a #basically what i'm getting at here is that my reading of the resurrections in teen wolf as a motif is very valid and you should all agree #also i completely forgot about jackson's resurrection until i was literally writing these tags so i had to go back and make a gif for that

stop a/starion has a BRAND NEW SIM AVAILABLE ON MODTHESIMS FOR THE SI/MS 2

#for those unaware E/A decided that we suffered enough and let us buy reformatted editions of og si/ms and si/ms 2 #which for bitches like me who STILL prefers ts2's gameplay over t/s3 and 4's gameplay (but likes a lot of the other #parts of those two more like the added diversity and everything which t/s2 does lack bc it was last updated in 2008)#in t/s2 it was still clearly a passion project whereas in t/s3 like halfway through the packs you could tell they stopped caring #t/s3 still had the storyline element tho that t/s4 just doesnt #but t/s2's lore is so!!!#the s/ims r/esource has once again proven itself a disappointment bc ppl last made content in like 2013 which is like still good for a game #again last updated in 2008 but yknow #and then made impossible to play so E/A released the whole collection for free after breaking the original buy and now even that doesnt wor #i had to reprogram the entire game last time i tried playing it which is why the price of the not even really a remaster #all they did was update the gameplay so it works on modern pcs (mostly)#which is worth it to me bc im not a great programmer and do not have the time to reprogram a game for three days to play it #and it was my favorite it honestly still is my favorite thing in the world is #playing v/eronaville and ruining shakespeare by making r/omeo and t/ybalt enemies to l/overs and having j/uliet take revenge w m/ercutio #only to get w p/uck its a whole thing but anyways im im so happy at least the m/od the s/ims community never abandoned me #bc t/sr certainly tf did. tumbs seems to have quite a bit of cc too which is so!!!#when my harddrive w all my old gifs and stuff broke i also lost all the CC i made all my meshes and everything #and unfortunately they did not bring body shop back like i wanted i doubt they will so i do not know how to make meshes without it #making custom sims is gonna be a fucking bitch without it actually bc bodyshop is my favorite thing its way way better than ts4's maker #i ust im so happy. also annoyed by the lack of body shop but so happy. i know a lot of ppl are pissed they're charging for it but its worth #it to me. and people are making si/ms 2 machinima again which is also a favorite thing. most of the old ones do NOT hold up anymore #anyways how do i bully E/A into bringing back b/ody s/hop i'll even pay for it at this point make it work for all four games #or at least 2-4 like #i honestly dont play 3 much im a 2 girlie and have been w 4 off and on bc i love it but the lacking is so clear as #someone whos been there since the start yknow but #asidjiasdifbeiadpisadhasidhasipdaspodhifoeajcapsdjsa #out.

this person was so right about how the gifmaking community luckily came up with the #___edit tag system/culture on here around 2016 or so, but it really did suck it regressed to just tagging popular users.

some popular gifmakers don't even tag the title of the media they're giffing, and it makes it so inaccessible to normal users who aren't already following these people. i've thought for the longest time the solution to that weird tagging (tagging users, like how other sits @ accounts, not tumblr tags) would be some other section where someone could be notified, but it's not visible on the actual post. bc gifmakers totally want their post to look good, and they're not gonna do the wall of text of @'ing people like it's some other social media.

gifmakers doing the 20 tags for specific users to boost their post also doesnt make sense not just normal users won't see organically, but after an amount of tags u do run out of what's allowed in the tags. i think tumblr increased the limit, but u cant just tag 25 blogs and then try and add more.

edit: i forgot to add that the change happened bc it was primarily used for tagging group blogs, that couldnt be personally notified of interaction normally thru activity, and it was a convenient way for members to check, and it changed to ur normal blogger in charge of one blog... for some reason. again, i think if it had some kind of subtle tagging like on instagram, it'd make way more sense.

#personal #this person's tags arent a solution to the x reader fanfic ppl (who just dont have tumblr etiquette) but what they're saying is so true #gifmakers have gone inactive and less people join and actually MAKE things so the gifmaking communities are less accessible #like how many new gifmakers do u see. and ppl who try to make gifs that know the size limits and all that. instead of just #putting a 9.99mb 1000x745 gif on the dash that crashes the app #idk tumblr doesnt get new users but the gifmaking culture on here isnt very popular. which feels so ironic bc we have a 10mb limit now #while ppl loved making those ugly 15 frame grainy b&w supernatural gifs back in 2012. and the like to rb ratio generally #being heavily lopsided
