Xenophyophore mermaids are bizarre creatures PAR EXCELLENCE. What may appear as lumps of ill-defined flesh with biolumeniscent eyes are in fact, single-celled entities, clearly visible to the casual observer. Xenophyophore mermaids are, by design, simple. Usually reproducing by division, occasionally they may congregate together to form mobile families of a sort, constantly exchanging genetic material. Clearly being giant cells, xenophyophore mermaids are quite fragile and often construct a crude skeleton out of discarded debris for protection and more efficient mobility. This particular xenophyophore colony has inhabited a torn up Tesla-Chan robot with a added boat propeller. When interacting with xenophyophore mermaids, they're quite ambivalent. Not complex enough to show any higher emotions, these giant cells' general demeanor is to accept with indifference the limitations imposed upon them by more complex, multicellular organisms.

So I'm playing Pokémon Uranium, despite it being out for years I've never actually beaten it and I wanted to change that so here I am

And so a month after they built the fifth Wal-Mart in our county, a little coffee shop opened just a few yards away.  

My coworker Rick said it looked like a giant amoeba just waiting to absorb any surrounding properties.

“The coffee shop?” I asked.

“No, Wal-Mart is the amoeba.”

“Oh.”

When I got back to my desk, I typed ‘amoeba’ into Google and realized that I had incorrectly pictured a centipede.

“To hell with Rick,” I thought. “I don’t need any more friends, anyway. I’m on friend overload.”

At dinner that night, the Wal-Mart came up again when my wife Diane mentioned how ugly it was to see another gigantic shopping center taking up space in our town.

“It looks like a giant amoeba just waiting to absorb that little coffee shop,” I said. “And then the coffee shop is like a centipede.”

“I don’t think amoebas eat centipedes. And besides, that’s the point.”

Diane went on to explain that the coffee shop, though legitimate and functioning by all measures, was really an art piece constructed by a group of private donors in response to the new Wal-Mart.

“The idea is that we’re intentionally not supposed to go to the coffee shop. That way, Wal-Mart customers will be forced to observe the gradual decay of a local business every time they enter the store.”

“Well, I’ve been going there all week,” I said. “I think the coffee is top-notch stuff. Plus, it’s on my way to work.”

“The coffee is supposed to be mediocre,” said Diane. “Keeping within the budget of most struggling businesses. It’s supposed to be virtually undrinkable.”

“Hmm…well I really like it.”

“Well, you can’t keep going or else you’ll ruin the project.”

“This is America,” I said. “And if I want a cup of mediocre, overpriced coffee, by god I will have it!”

Over the next several months, I kept drinking the coffee. Some days I even went twice. The quality of the coffee, I was told, gradually worsened as a result of my unwavering interest, but I never noticed and so I had no choice but to doubt the rumors.

My doubt remained intact even after overhearing a private conversation between the coffee shop’s manager and the cashier. I was standing by a tree and watching a teenager back his car into another car and I guess they didn’t see me.

“I know,” said the cashier. “I’ve tried that, but it’s like he doesn’t have taste buds.”

“Well, he’s single-handedly fucking up this entire thing.”

“So what then, poison? Would he even drink poison?”

“Now, that’s an interesting idea.”

“Stupid teenage drivers,” I thought.

In the end, they poisoned the coffee. I made it a month after that, but my failing eyesight and ravaged kidneys eventually left me bed-ridden.

“Well, they just opened another location,” said Diane. “Business is booming. I hope you’re happy.”

And I wasn’t happy, but I was somehow content and I thought about everything then: Wal-Mart, art projects, even little amoebas crawling through the forest, one-hundred legs working beautifully in tandem.

“Nobody ever wins in these kinds of things,” said Diane.

“But if you had to pick a winner, you’d probably pick me because the coffee shop was on my way to work.”

Diane sighed and left the room. I dozed off and in my dream, they did pick a winner. They picked me and I was led over to a small stage to choose my prize: A brand new recliner or two new kidneys!

“The recliner,” I inquired. “How far back are we talking?”

When googling it seems that ooze type enemies came about with dnd.

Are you aware of earlier origins? It does not seem farfetched to assume that some fantasy book had them before that.

It's broadly correct that the ooze monster in its modern form comes to us via Dungeons & Dragons (with considerable influence from D&D-inspired Japanese console RPGs like Dragon Quest). However, like many other classic D&D tropes, its antecedents were present in the sword and sorcery literature of the 20th Century – ooze monsters just seem like they sprung into existence fully formed in D&D's monster manuals because nobody reads sword and sorcery lit anymore.

While there are no doubt earlier precedents, I'd be inclined to point to early 20th Century cosmic horror fiction as the point where the modern giant-amoeba-like notion of the ooze monster really became a standard trope. We can see a clear prototype of the modern ooze monster in Lovecraft's shoggoths, first described in detail in At the Mountains of Madness (1931), for example; from there, the line to the sword and sorcery literature that would go on to form the basis of Dungeons & Dragons is a short one. This certainly isn't the first example of the type – I just don't have an earlier one at my fingertips.

As for my favourite ooze monster, I've gotta give it to the gelatinous cube, one of the few examples of the type which truly is original to Dungeons & Dragons – in fact, it could only have come from D&D, owing to the peculiarities of its creation. It started out as a sort of dungeon hazard, an "invisible" ooze which concealed itself by being completely transparent and conforming perfectly to the shape of any passage that it occupied; however, since old-school D&D expected players to produce their own dungeon maps as they went, and made their job easier by abstracting dungeon floorplans onto a grid of ten-foot squares, the idea of the gelatinous cube quickly shifted from "ooze which perfectly fills any passage it occupies" to "ooze which evolved to be a perfect ten-foot cube in order to block a standard ten-foot-by-ten-foot dungeon hallway". It's incredibly dumb, and I love it.

I absolutely love going to a local community college to get an Associate's Degree in math and science so that I can later enter a ~very prestigious~ pharmacy program at a state school.

It's so great actually- because the state school I hope to transfer into has a massive pharmacy program and employment rate and all that good stuff.

And then the local community college I'm attending for my Associate's only has 1 chemistry teacher for 3 campuses (spoiler alert! it's not my campus!) and my principles of cell and molecular biology teacher has us watch The Amoeba Sisters at least once per every lecture.

Here's some generations made just minutes ago, whereas everything else in this post and the other two parts were from weeks ago:

-'Latino' easily changeable to your preference (or remove to randomize). -'massive' is a double edged modifier, can make some bulky dudes but can also make giants (as seen above). Same for 'strong legs...' section, alter to tastes or remove for doughy. -'[incredibly] pregnant looking' helps keep the belly smooth more often than not, can remove to get saggier results but expect a lot of cascading folds (also, nice side effect of 'pregnant looking' is more intimate belly grabs since it's pulling from the pool of hetero maternity pictures, but you might get a bra here and there). - 'swimming attire' has worked best for me to get, well, swimming attire ('swim trucks', 'swim shorts', etc get dogged a lot for me). -description of second man can be altered just as easily as first, but it seems to "inherit" some details from the first man, so keep that in mind.

Expect about 2.5 pictures per generation with a couple full dogblocks.
