Imagine being Gibbs’ girl
He tries to keep his rough exterior, but he totally melts for you
He’ll definitely dance with you in the basement if you ask sweetly enough, and even if he pretends not to, he loves just swaying with you to some old country loves songs.
(This would definitely play through his radio)
Or kiss every one of you fingers if you come home from work and say they’re sore.
He will put you back in the car if you try to open your own door.
He’ll learn how to put your hair in a pony tail or a bun if you hurt your shoulder and can’t do it yourself. Plus he’ll keep brushing your hair for you, sitting snugly between his thighs and enjoying his warmth, long after you heal.
He sings to you if you wake up in the night reliving your darkest times in your dreams. He’ll wrap you up as tightly as he can in his strong arms, strong enough to remind you you’re safe with him, and whisper the words to any old song that pops into his head.
He loves to leave you little notes by the coffee pot or on your bedside table when he leaves before you do:
Have a good day, my love. See you tonight
- J
You agree not to marry early in the relationship
You’d both been around that block more than once, and it seemed like that fancy piece of paper just complicates things.
Of course, you’re exclusive to one another, but you just can’t bring yourselves to risk changing what you have by changing your last name. It seems so insignificant when you think of it that way.
Most of your neighbors and friends just assume you’re married, anyway. So when a letter arrives in the mail addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs, you aren’t surprised. It makes you smile to see it on paper, but nothing is going to change your minds on this.
His love language is 100% acts of service
He’ll unload the dishwasher, fold the laundry, bring you home fresh flowers for no reason at all, have dinner ready if he somehow makes it home before you do one day. He rarely lets you bring in any groceries or luggage. Even though he knows you are tough enough to literally take him down, he wouldn’t dare letting you carry something too heavy or inconvenient.
Any little thing he can do to brighten your day, he does.
In turn, the small acts you grant him, like taking his suit jackets to the dry cleaners, setting his shoes and thermos out for him before work, picking up a new book about boats, make him fall even more in love with you.
He makes you things
J will make you anything he thinks you might like. A wooden stand for your plants, a step stool when you mention that the bed is just a little bit high off the ground for you, shelves to proudly display your knick knacks, a sled for Christmas after you tell him you never had one as a child.
He’d even try his hand at a ukulele if you mention wanting to learn to play.
Of course he’s made boats named for Kelly and Shannon, but his newest project is adorned proudly with your name, sprawled across the hull in flowing letters.
His hobby turns into more than just that, it’s his way to show you how much he loves you, and you soak in everything he’ll give you.
He’ll use his jacket to shield you from the rain
Jethro is usually prepared for anything, but rain can sneak up on you. In that case, he’ll peel his jacket off and cover you as best as he can. Even if it means he’ll get soaked to the bone, he’ll make sure you’re covered a least a little bit more than he is.
He tones down his crazy driving for you
The first time you got in the car with him, you about passed out from an anxiety attack. You don’t want to be a backseat driver, so you just grin and bear it for a while, but he picks up on your discomfort pretty quickly.
He slows down, starts using his turn signal, and stops cutting people off, but every now and then, when it’s late and the roads are empty, he’ll take you for a high-speed cruise just to get your blood pumping.
He’s much touchier than you ever imagined
A strong hand on the small of your back, fingers ghosting over your exposed thigh, a reassuring squeeze to your shoulder when you’re uneasy, or just brushing against you to pass, even when there is plenty of room to spare.
Anything he can do to have his hands on you, he’ll do. You two are like a safety tether for each other, always there to make sure you don’t drift too far away.
As far as PDA goes, Jethro is pretty limited in what he’s willing to show the world, but he’ll always find a discreet way to connect himself to you. A brief brush of your pinkies, a quick kiss to your forehead, or a full-on embrace if you find a moment alone. Whatever it is, his touch still sets you on fire every time.
He is so gentle and fatherly to children
The two of you decided early on that you would avoid having kids. Given his past, you understand and agree to the arrangement. When you get together with your young nieces and nephews, though, Jethro turns into a total kid right along with them.
He’s quick to join in a game of cops and robbers, always quipping how it’s so much more fun being the bad guy, or plop down in the grass and find pictures in the clouds.
When someone takes a tumble or scrapes up their knee, though, he’s the first to scoop them up in his strong arms and hug the pain away. He’ll make them feel better with a story about when he hurt his knee, too, or how chicks dig scars (you always smack him playfully for that).
He makes a mean cup of coffee
You’d never thought of yourself as much of a coffee snob, but after tasting Jethro’s version, brewed slowly over the fire if time allows and mixed with the perfect amount of cream and sugar, you could never go back to any coffee shop again.
Same goes for his cooking. He doesn’t make much, but when he does, damn it is good.
“The secret ingredient is love,” he’ll joke to you, mocking your own phrase, and you’ll roll your eyes as the flavors envelop your tastebuds.
All in all, our man Jethro is basically the best partner you could ever ask for, and you love showing him how much you appreciate him.

Ill with Your Love ~ Jethro Gibbs
Author's Note: Since my other account @cheekyredwillow got deleted. I am adding some of my favorite fanfictions to this account and revamping this one with new ones. I hope to make an actual list of fandoms I am still a fan of! NO requests for the time being.
Warnings: sick reader (almost dies), PTSD from Paraguay, but mostly fluff. Soulmate AU where the longer one is away from soulmate, the sicker they get
~~~~
Since Jethro and Tim have been in Paraguay and captured, you and Delilah have been incredibly ill. Delilah of course from not being around her soulmate but you did not want to admit your boss Gibbs was your soulmate. So you tried to push it. You went to work. Headaches, stomach pain, vomiting, bloody coughs, and more occurred the longer they were gone.
Ellie knew what was going on. You have never been this sick since working but whenever Gibbs went on missions, you strangely got sick. Nick didn't really know till Ellie explained and when he saw you getting sick after Paraguay.
It got bad enough that you were hospitalized for your sickness. It was eating you from the inside out. Delilah was getting thinner but was able to stay at her apartment to wait for McGee.
Probably the torture at Paraguay made it seem like the two of them were not getting sick. McGee especially because he always thought of Delilah and it made him better. Gibbs was going through his own torment with his mind and body. The only thing strangely enough is that the thought of you made him feel somewhat better.
Now Gibbs was no idiot. He noticed since you joined the team and when you took days off, he would get sick. Oddly enough Ducky was the one who explained the phenomenon of soulmates. Specifically by not being around them causes the two of them to be sick. Especially during long periods of time, the soulmate's body would turn inside out because of it.
But when Gibbs and McGee were rescued from Paraguay, the first thought Gibbs had was you. Were you okay? Were you sick since he's been gone? Are you still living? Ducky mentioned that some soulmates could die after periods of alone time.
When Jethro got back and was checked over at the hospital, Ellie was there. She wanted to check on them and tell Gibbs you were in the same hospital but he beat her to the punch.
"Where is Y/n?" Gibbs demanded.
"Gibbs, she's down the hall." Ellie said softly.
"What do you mean?" Gibbs snapped.
"Since you had been gone, Y/n has gotten extremely ill and near dying multiple times. She needs you." Ellie said as she ushered him down the hall.
It did not take Gibbs long to get down the hall to your room. His heart felt like it stopped seeing your pale, thin body. Your eyes were shut and hollow. Your heart rate was faint. The only thing that made him happy is that seeing gift baskets from Nick, Ducky, Leon, Ellie, Delilah, and Abby. He moved to the side of your bed to get close.
Your hand was outstretched and Gibbs reached for it. Your hand was still soft like he remembered and slightly warm. He did not notice your eyes were slowly adjusting to the light or that your heart rate began to become normal.
"Y/n I have been away too long. The only reason that got me through was you. I think you're my soulmate. I hope that you are." Gibbs sighed.
Your hand twitched slightly causing Gibbs to immediately look up. He sees your e/c eyes barely open but looking at him. Your face showed a soft smile.
"Hey G-Gibbs." You croaked.
"Hey Y/n, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"Like I've been hit by a truck." You sighed.
"Let me get the nurse and then we can talk." Gibbs said as he squeezed your hand.
The nurse called the doctor in to look you over and check vitals. The doctor said you did need water and food but your vitals were turning normal. Gibbs was patiently waiting for the doctor to finish and watching you. He had to admit but seeing you awake and alive made him feel tons better.
As the doctor left and the nurse brought in some food, Gibbs sat beside your bed to help you eat. The nurse left with a smile on her face and did not say a word.
"Can I ask you something?" Gibbs asked as he handed you some crackers to munch on.
"You just did." You said as Gibbs rolled his eyes.
"Do you think we're soulmates?"
Gibbs noticed your shocked expression on your face and you knew your face was hot to touch. You really did not want Gibbs to figure it out like this.
"I d-do." You stuttered out before Gibbs handed you a spoon of soup.
"That's good. I would have thought I was going crazy from Paraguay if not. I was being serious that the thought of you helped me through it." Gibbs said softly. "But apparently me being gone so long made you so sick you could have died."
"But we found you. Or at least the team did. You're safe and I'm feeling better. I'm not coughing up blood or vomiting." You explained. "I'm just glad we finally admitted it."
"So am I. Do you mind if I give you a kiss? I've been wanting to for the past few months." Gibbs asked as you immediately nodded your head.
Even though you were still recovering, the kiss was sweet and calm. Sure you kissing back was rather weak but Gibbs guided the kiss. After you two broke for air, you didnt notice the nurse peak in just to check your heart rate but she did tell the others what happened.
Your stay in the hospital lasted for a week but Gibbs stayed by your side unless he had to meet a psychiatrist or go back to the office. Even when you returned from the hospital, you two decided to move into Gibbs's place so you two could stay by each other's side.
affectionate cuddles
✰ - synopsis :: leroy jethro gibbs x gn reader with the prompt affectionate cuddles’
✰ - warnings :: fluff
✰ - k.j.’s diary says... sorry about the bad writing, im tryna get back in character or ehatever
although you both were not ones for physical affection, whenever one if you had a particularly bad day you both would eventually find yourself tangled up in each other on the couch.
so thats where you are now: cheek pressed onto the warm area of jethro’s NIU sweatshirt just above his heart while he rubbed his thumb back and forth over your back. jethro’s gaze bounced between the flickering flames and your limp body resting on his.
jethro hummed a little as he leaned back and closed his eyes. despite his own troubles, jethro knew you needed this quiet, tender moment. either way, you being in his his arms helped jethro more then you’d ever know.
Jethro Gibbs x period!reader
title: i only want him ♫ henry come on, lana del rey
warnings: swearing, age gap
a/n: yes he's hot shut up. i got my period so I wrote this, cause I'm dying. for the girls. sorry for typos, i love y'all.
-
When I came into work I wasn't expecting to get my period so early in the morning but that's a stupid thing to think. I was late for a couple days what did I expect?
I didn't want Tony picking on me, I knew McGee wouldn't but who knows, he was always curious. It wasn't my first time having my period at work but it was my first having a very painful one.
I brought painkillers and put them in my desk, setting my bag down, I wanted to bring a hot water bottle or a heating pad but that would make it too obvious. I was too embarrassed, was it something to be embarrassed about? No but I work with three men... One I find very attractive.
Tony glanced at my figure once, glaring slightly I turned in my chair and flared back. He glanced at McGee and leaned back in his chair, "yeah we have a problem, Probie."
McGee looked up from his computer, and looked to Tony. "What?"
He gestures towards me, not caring if I noticed it. "Would you leave me alone, Tony." I snapped a little.
His jaw flew open and gave McGee a look, like he was hurt but we all knew he wasn't. "Did you hear that McGee, she's got a little attitude today!"
McGee rolled his eyes, "That's cause you keep poking at her."
"No, no. Did you see her get off the elevator, she was grumpy when she came in."
"Would you leave her alone." McGee said to him. "She's probably running on low sleep."
Tony gave me an up and down, "looks like it."
I gave him a look, "oh please, even if I looked terrible you know better than to comment on it."
Tony chuckles and leaned back in his chair, "oh yeah? What you think I'm scared of you or something?"
I gave him another look, he tried to study it but it didn't go well. "Damn." He muttered, he was right he is scared of me but didn't want to admit it.
McGee smirked, "what, say it Tony."
He was interrupted, I abruptly jerked slightly at the cramps turning in my stomach and back, they both gave me a look. "You okay?" McGee asked genuinely.
"What? I'm fine, McGee." I say, it wasn't very convincing.
"You sure-." McGee got interrupted by Gibbs appearing out of nowhere like he usually does and it made him immediately look to his computer.
Gibbs sat at his desk on my left and glanced at me, doing a once over. He didn't say anything... But after an hour it started to show I was having very bad mood swings.
Tony would do something id act out a little more than usual, it was annoying really. There was a time I was at my desk looking at the phone records of our suspect I started to tear up at my desk.
Tony gave me a look, teasing slightly. I noticed it and got a little snapy. "What Tony?! Just say it."
Tony gave a look of surprise, "whats got you all pushy today." Tony had an idea what was wrong.
I roll my eyes and stood from my seat. I walked down to the bathrooms and tried to calm down, when I spent 5 minutes in there I left and right when I was about to turn the corner Gibbs was there, it made me jump slightly.
He gave me a look, "is something bothering you y/n?" He was a little angry.
I struggled he seemed stern like he always was and maybe a little mean today probably from the way I've been acting. "I'm fine."
He titled his head slightly, "mind telling me what's got you so bitchy today?"
I breathed deeply, I shouldn't tell him... Maybe I should but that would sound pathetic to him. "I- it's nothing."
He stepped closer facing down at me. "I won't ask again."
I struggled for a second, "I just.. it's cramps." I say quietly surprised he heard.
He chuckled and gave me a small smirk, it was clear I was embarrassed and a little scared. "Why didn't you say that in the first place?"
"I thought- maybe you-."
He cut me off shaking his head, the smirk evident on his face. "I've had three wives, y/n."
I'm blushed, I wasn't able to look him in the eye for a second. "I can tone the attitude down." I tried to make an excuse.
He laughed, full heartedly. "Why didn't you bring something for the pain?"
"I brought painkillers-." He cut me off.
"I meant heat." He said bluntly.
I struggled to find the words. "I thought if I did it would be obvious."
He bent down a little to my height and he spoke. "Go get a damn water bottle, and stop bitching." He said softly, but he was stern.
All I could do was look up at him, he smirks a little as he walked away. My heart was in my throat, what am I going to do. If it was obvious to him maybe it was obvious to Tony and McGee. But that wasn't my main problem.
The way he looked at made my heart do backflips but luckily I was able to hide it. I knew he would probably kill me if I didn't listen to him so I went down to Duckie in luck id see if he had a hot water bottle or something I could use as a heat source.
I made it to autopsy where I found him where he always was, working on the victim we found yesterday. "Duckie?"
He glanced at me. His gloved hands were bloody but I wasn't squeamish. "Oh, hello my dear."
I smile a little, "Duckie do you have a... Hot water bottle down here or anywhere you can think of?" Now that I came down it felt stupid to ask him.
He titled his head a little trying to think, "you can as Mr Palmer, my dear. Is this an urgent matter?"
He gestures, I was too embarrassed. "What? No, I just... Need one."
He smiled a little, "yes alright. Palmer is in there."
He pointed to the door next to the table. I smiled a little as a thanks and opened the door, Palmer was working on the MRI scans. "Oh. Hey y/n." He smiled softly.
"Hey, Duckie told me to ask you if you knew where a hot water bottle might be?"
Palmer thought for a minute, "I don't think we have one, y/n, I'm sorry." He was genuine.
I smiled, "its okay-."
"Is this something you really need?" He asked, looking through his glasses.
"N-no, not at all. Just wondering. Thank you, Palmper." I walked out of the room and out of autopsy.
What would Gibbs do if he saw me without anything, I was scared to sit back at my desk but I did. Tony glanced at me, "and she returns, you better now?" He teased.
I gave him a look and sat back down, Gibbs was at his desk and of course he saw me. He gave me a look, one I couldn't read. "So, Gibbs tells us you have your... Lady time." Tony kept going.
McGee spoke, "knock it off Tony."
Tony smiled a little, Gibbs stood up to look at the screen right beside Tony's desk. As he didn't interfere with the conversation. "Oh come on McGee. Its obvious if she just admits it, I think I'd be satisfied."
Gibbs smacked Tony in the back of the head, Tony didn't even look at him when Gibbs headed towards me and got closer. "I thought I told you to-."
I interrupted Gibbs, "I tried, I couldn't find one."
Gibbs gave me that look again, he smirked slightly and walked past my desk, walking to the elevator.
Tony watches as well, paranoid. "So you are." He said looking at me, waiting till the elevator shut.
"Yes I am, you're a grown man, get off me about it."
McGee smiled as I stood up from myself, Tony just gave McGee a look before looking back to me. "All you had to do was say it."
"I'm not telling you I got my period."
"You just did." Tony mocked.
"Where did Gibbs go?" I was embarrassed.
Tony laughed, "ohh he knows."
"Shut up, Tony." I say.
Tony glairs, "im right aren't I."
McGee spoke, "did you take those pills I gave you yesterday?"
Tony glanced at him and back at me, "now you're sharing drugs. What else aren't you telling me." Tony was clearly teasing.
I roll my eyes. "Yes I did." I replied to McGee.
"They didn't work?"
"No." I say and lean back. I sighed a little and really tired not to make a scene by crying. And when Gibbs came back he had a hot water bottle in his hand, he snapped his fingers for me to stand up and follow him.
When I did he led me to the private room, he sat me in the chair and looked down at me. "I'm going to be right back, you stay here."
I didn't have time to say anything as he walked out the door and shut it... I waited for about 7 minutes before he came back, the hot water filled up and he handed it to me.
He sat in the other chair and looked at me, "is this stopping you from working?"
"No. Why would you ask that?"
He sighs and leans back, "because I asked."
"No." I answered. "If Tony wouldn't have said anything-."
He chuckles, cutting me off, "he wasn't the one who let me know."
I was embarrassed, "what?"
"I've had three wives, remember? I think I'd know by now." He explained, well that made sense but I was still embarrassed.
"Do you need to go home?" He asked, he saw my rosy cheeks.
"No, I'm fine." I replied, when the cramps felt like someone was stabbing me from the inside.
He studied me for a moment before his phone rang, he grabbed it out of his pocket and answered; "what is it McGee?"
There was silence before he hung up, "we have a new suspect. Are you able to come along?"
I nod, "yeah."
I rode with Gibbs, Tony and McGee with each other. When we got to the US department there was a man we needed to arrest as he was part of the murder scene but no actual evidence of murder.
When Gibbs walked in he spoke to another man, asking him where's he been the last 2 days if he's seemed suspicious etc, finding out the man we wanted left before we got there. I stood by him as he spoke, I was cramping but didn't make a scene.
I continued to put my hand over my lower stomach, in hopes it wasn't obvious what I was doing. Gibbs glanced down at my hand as he spoke, he saw that there was pain in my eyes no matter how much I tried to hide it.
He scoot closer beside me, his hand gently reaching to my lower back in secretive touch. The man in front of him wasn't able to see, he gently kept his warm hand on my lower back, and it helped the pain.
I started to relax, and without my knowledge Tony and McGee came up behind me. Tony smirked and looked to McGee. "He has a thing for her, I told you." He whispers.
McGee sighs and whispers back, "would you stop it. She's been in pain all day."
Tony shrugged, "it's not like the boss to ... You know-."
"Show affection?" McGee finished for him.
Tony clenched his jaw and looked at Gibbs hand on my lower back, "well, look at him."
McGee smiled a little, "So what? Maybe he found someone to be fond over, you're mad about that?"
Tony shook his head, "what? No. I was just saying-."
He got cut off when Gibbs turned around, he spoke in his stern voice as always. "You two, go to the airport and find him. His plane hasn't arrived yet..."
They both stood there for a second, "GO!" Gibbs snapped.
They both quickly turned around towards the large doors to their car. Gibbs looked down at me, "let's go."
I followed him to his car, and got in and it was like bricks hitting me at once and I was unable to hid it, I wince causing an unexpected man of pain to slip. "Aah!"
He glanced at me as he started the car, "yeah, you're going home."
"No!" I protest.
"Stop being so stubborn, you're going home. It's not a big deal to just admit you're having a bad period."
I was surprised, I didn't say anything but I was uncomfortable squirming in my seat. He put a hand on my thigh. "Hey, take a deep breath."
He sounded stern but, there was a softness in his voice. "It hurts-." He already knew but I needed to say it.
He nodded a little, "just breathe through it." I cried, unable to take a deep breath. "Deep. Breath." He said again, more stern.
I inhaled and released it slowly, he watched me and smirked. "Good girl."
When he got me to my place I unlocked the door, I didn't think he'd follow me in but he did and I didn't say no. I take off my jacket and put it on the couch. "Do you want something to drink-?"
"Sit." He said, and of course I did. "You have a heating pad?" He questioned.
"In my room, on my bed." I point to the door across the hall.
He opened it and retrieved the heating pad, he smirked at the looks of my room, he liked it. He then got back to me, plugging it in behind the glass table beside the couch and gave it to me.
"Gibbs?"
"Hmm?"
"W-why gave you been so... Affectionate. No offense it's just not like you to."
He smiled and sat beside me, he glanced at the heating pad pressed tight on my stomach, taking a deep breath. "It's not like you to be so bitchy for that time of the month yet here we are."
He was teasing me, I smiled a little shaking my head. "You could just answer my question."
He smirked, "nah. I like to get a rise out of you."
I took a deep breath before the pain hit me again. "Aah!" I cried out. He was unable to help himself.
He gently put his hand on my lower back, his face close to mine. "You need to try to breathe through the pain."
"I am." I say, slightly snapping.
He wasnt mad at me for that, he rubbed my lower back and put his face closer to my ear. "Can't you just listen to me for once?"
I look at him, his blue eyes... His grey hair made my heart go in my throat. "It hurts, Gibbs."
He nodded and sighed, "I know... I know." He kissed my cheek slowly, I was able to lean into it.
"Should you.. go back to work?"
He smiled and looked at the clock on my wall. "It's my break." He smirked and leaned closer.
I let him, as his lips touch mine. He cradled the back of my head and inhaled me, he was gentle but stern with his actions. He put his other hand on my hip and rubbed it softly before pulling away.
"I think I'll stay right here and make sure you're okay."
"It's just a period, Gibbs."
He rolled his eyes. "They're just cramps. Stop crying about it." He teases me.
I smile a little, no he didn't mean it. He gave my thigh a soft hit before he stood up to take off his coat. "Let me kiss you again."
may i request sugar daddy!gibbs? <3
Money, Money, Money (Sugar Daddy! Gibbs x Reader)
Late night, black coffee, handsome man, all alone. Third time this week, 5th week in a row you’ve seen him. You flirted often fishing for bigger tips, trying to pay bills you couldn’t even afford to have. You lived on your own. 18 years old, last 2 months of high school, and barely a plan and money to plan life with.
“See you’re here again!” You say happily topping him off.
“Hey! Rough week” he sighed, eyeing you gently.
“You work at… don’t tell me” you say trying to remember. “NCIS!” You exclaim.
“Good memory” he smiles. “How are you (y/n)?” He asks.
“Ah I’m alright. Just trying to get off work as soon as possible, you know” you shrug. “Later it gets the scarier it is outside.”
“Well, what time do you get off?” Gibbs asks.
“12” you sigh, looking towards the clock. Only 9:45. “Got about 2 hours left”
“Yeah, remember the goal kid.” Gibbs smiled. “Say, what college do you plan on attending? I remember you saying you were a senior and it’s almost the end of the year.”
“Oh, college.” You say quietly. “I can’t afford it, so I won’t be going. Maybe in the future” his phone began ringing. He clicked it silent before turning to you,
“Ah I see… well (y/n) have a good night. I’ve gotta get back to work” he stands.
“See ya around, Jet” you saluted him.
“Jet…” he said thoughtfully. “I like that!!”
Time skip~
The clock hit 12 and your shift was over. You walked out to see a familiar face leaning against a car. You smiled as he approached you.
“Hey Jet! What’re you still doin out?”
“Driving you home” he shakes his keys. “Scary out here” you can see a smirk.
“Coming from a guy who’s packing” you roll your eyes as you approach the car. You were gonna let yourself get a ride with a man who had a gun… a lot safer than walking an hour without a gun. That was how you justified getting into that car.
“Oh shut up” he opened the door and you got in.
When you arrived at your shitty apartment that you could barely afford you saw Gibbs eyes search the perimeter.
“I’ll walk you in… I don’t like the looks of that guy on the corner” he motions with his head.
“It’s really alright. Thank you for the ride!” You say opening your door. Jethro reached across and shut it before you could step out. Silently he got out and walked around the car. Opening it.
“Let’s go” he grinned sweetly. You caved and bring him up. His eyes fell on your small apartment. Clean, organized, your life could fit in a box. He made notes of things to buy you.
“Well since you’re up here” you say as you take off your coat. “Coffee? Tea? Might actually have a bottle of soda in the fridge…” you trail as you thought about it.
“Coffee’s great, yeah” he accepts. The two of you stayed up talking late into the night before he left. Your insecurity of what you could afford present in the back of your mind.
A few days later~
You woke up to a knock on your front door. You opened it to see a delivery guy at your door.
“Delivery for a…” he looked at his clipboard. “(Y/n)(l/n)”
“Yeah, yeah that’s me” you say. “What is this?” The man shrugged.
“A car? If you didn’t order it, not my problem. I can’t take it back.” He said as you signed the paper. He handed you the keys. “Beautiful car by the way” he walked away. You closed the door behind you, walking downstairs. Outside you eagerly clicked the key, looking around for the car, your eyes finally settling on the black dodge challenger sitting in a parking spot a few meters down.
“Oh my god” you say nearly in tears. You ran back upstairs and hurriedly got dressed for work, hoping to see Jethro there. And sure enough when you pulled up in your new car, there was Jethro, leaning on his car again.
“You fucking bastard” you run and hug him, you cry happily into his shoulder. He laughed as you did so.
“Wait wait, I get you a car and you call me Bastard!!!” He exclaimed. “I got something else for you…” he digs his hand into his pocket, another key coming out on his finger.
“Jethro…” you say looking at it as a bright green address tag danced in your eyes.
“Coffee first. Key later” you nodded as you lead him inside.
Time skip~
You ended your shift early to go with Jethro. You blindly tailed him into a nicer apartment complex in a better part of Quatico. Your heart began to flutter as you parked.
You walked into a nice apartment on the 3rd floor. Beautiful black granite kitchen tops, newly installed appliances.
“So…” he says. “What furniture were you thinking you wanted for your new apartment?” He says handing you magazines.
“Holy shit.” You whisper. “This is mine?” He nodded. “This place is mine?” You gasp.
“All paid off. So is the car. And so is your degree.”
“Degree?” You ask. “No you didn’t”
“Yes. I did” he smiled.
“Shut up” you tear up as he passes you a folder. The big words ‘WELCOME TO VIRGINIA TECH’ inscribed. “How did you-“
“Pulled some strings… I think your 1560 SAT score and perfect GPA helped a lot…” he said.
“Oh my god” you cry out jumping into his arms. “I will pay it all back” you say.
“Nope. No need. Just keep being a good girl and I will give you the world” he says.
“Thank you so much!!”
“Of course! You deserve it” he winked. “Now pick out some furniture. It’s your reward for getting into Virginia Tech” you kisses your cheek.
The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
Gibbs x Agent!Reader Warnings: Cursing Word Count: 1406 A/N- When I wrote this the vibe for Gibbs is similar to how he acts at the end of season 7 episode 23 when he is taking to the lawyer. It seems really specific but gives an idea for the vibe.
“Was any of it true?” The anger you tried to hide was boiling inside you. You thought you meant something to him. That it was real and not pretend. But here you were, standing in his living room feeling like a fool.
“You knew what this was. It was fun y/n, nothing more. I don’t know what made you think this would be anything but that.” Gibbs seemed like his normal emotionless self. Hell by the looks of it he seemed more annoyed you were bothering him with this conversation
“For months you would get mad if a guy even so much as looked in my direction. Tony brought me coffee and you dismissed him over some bullshit thing he didn’t even do. Mcgee gave me his coat after mine got fucked chasing down a perp and you ignored him for the rest of the case. So nothing my ass Jethro. You want to act like it was nothing but I know that deep down you felt something.” That was your breaking point. You grabbed your stuff before leaving his home, slamming the door on the way out.
~~~~~
“Hey y/n, everything good?” Mcgee gave you a questioning look.
“I’m fine.” You snapped.
“Ohhkay.” Mcgee’s seemed shocked at the outburst.
“Fuck. Sorry Mcgee. I had a rough night. I'm better now, some things have been cleared up.” You smiled back.
“Well if you want a different kind of rough, let me know.” You Didn't see Tony walk up behind you, his comment making you jump in your seat.”Here, brought you coffee.”
“Thank you Tony.” You shot him a flirty smile. Tony winked back at you before sitting at his desk.
Gibbs was watching the entire interaction play out from his desk. He knew what you were trying to do. The remarks of a rough night, the flirty look at Tony. You were trying to get under his skin. He hated it. Not just what you were doing but the fact that it was working.
It had been a few days since the moment you had in Gibbs’ living room. There hadn’t been any new cases the past few days, so the team was catching up on paperwork. Disrupting the silence, Gibbs slaps a hand on your desk.
“Can I help you?” You don’t even bother looking up, already knowing who it is.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Gibbs snapps through gritted teeth. Irritation clearly written across his face.
“Work Gibbs. I have a job to do and that's what I plan on doing.” You still hadn’t looked up from your computer.
“Agent l/n, I expect you to look at me when I’m talking to you.” His outburst drew the attention of everyone around. Questionable faces wondering what the hell was happening.
“Careful Jethro, people might think you have emotions, wouldn't want that to happen.” You looked up at him, clearly annoyed with his presence. Your quip had also clearly pissed him off.
“Leave.” His voice had a bite to it.
“Why? You're the one who came over to my desk, got annoyed I was focused and not looking up at you, and now you want me to leave? I get it, you're the boss man, but I still deserve respect. So give me one valid reason that I need to leave, aside from hurting your “feelings”.”
“Y/n-” Zive tried cutting in before things got more heated.
“Thank you but I’ve got this Ziva. I'm not scared of an emotionally immature man who thinks he can stab me with his words like pins. You want to act all big and bad, but we both know what you are.” You could hear a pin drop with how quiet it was.
“Thats it agent l/n. You need to leave, and until you can act like an adult don't feel the need to come in.” Gibbs was pissed. At this point he was practically yelling.
“Gladly. I would rather be anywhere but near the smallest man who ever lived.” With that you grabbed your bag, collected what you would need to finish your work from home and started toward the elevators.
~~~~~
Gibbs knew he had fucked up. Both in front of everyone and during the original fight. He had cared. He loved to show you off, but always made sure nobody the two of you knew could see. He was a private man, he told himself. But looking back you're the only person he hid. He felt ashamed. You were younger, happier, all the things he wasn't you were.
And now here he was, at your front door. He straightened his stace before knocking on the door. At first he thought you might not be home, but that thought was whipped away when he saw your frame in the open door. He heard you scoff, before asking him what he was doing there.
“I wanted to apologize.” He stated with a small hint of softness.
“Really?” You were calling his bluff.
“Yes, I had no right to yell at you in front of everyone. We should've talked privately.” You rolled your eyes at his statement.
“Yeah I tried that with you, remember? What was what started thin. I wanted to talk and you acted like it was nothing. I'm over it. I can deal with arguments, but being pretty much getting told I was delusional for believing that we had something killed any spark I had.” You meant every word.
“I’m trying here y/n.” His plea fell on deaf ears.
“Next time don't think “I’m sorry” will fix all your problems. You're a grown man Gibbs, act like it.”
“Its always the dramatics with you isn't it?” You scoffed at his remark. “Listen, I meant what I said. What we had, it was great. I’m sorry I said it was only fun. I had feelings for you, but we both knew it wouldn’t last.”
“Why not? Was it not fun once it wasnt forbidden? Once we were seen together was the thrill gone?” You thought back on all the times he would make excuses not to be seen with you. You felt stupid.
“Don't act like you didn't know that this was only meant to be between the two of us.” He knew he was pushing your buttons, but he kept going.
“Are you that ashamed of me? Years of friendship, months of passion, and after that you still hide me away. I don't want to be some secret.” You wanted to smack his chest, cause the same pain he caused you.
“Do you not understand what would happen if they knew? How many rules I broke every time we were together?” He was yelling at this point.
“You know what the saddest part was? I would have died for you, but instead I just died inside. And you deserve prison but you won't serve the time.” You felt hot tears fall from your eyes. The realization you allowed yourself to cry over him fueled your anger. “It's over Gibbs. No second chance. No “it's different this time”. And no more acting like I’m nothing. We still work together. And as much as I would love to say "Good riddance", I love my job too much. I will take punishment for the show he had in the office, but I will not let you take my career.”
He didn’t say anything, he just looked at you, trying to read your expression. Without saying anything you walked to the door, opening it. A silent tell for him to leave. Taking in a slow deep breath you turn to face him. “Leave Gibbs, please.”
“I understand you're hurt y/n, and I know I'm the reason. I will still have your back, and I will still be your boss. But for both our sakes, I think it's best we keep the rest of the details between the two of us.”. You watched him walk out your door, down your steps to his car, and drive away from your home, shutting the door when you could no longer see him. And just like that it was over. No more late nights after cases where you end up in bed together, mornings shared over fresh coffee, and one less friend. Maybe some day the two of you could be friends again, but as for now that wasn’t something either of you wanted, or more realistically could handle.
HIS M.E
Jethro has a little crush on Ducky’s caffeine addicted assistant ME and he’s trying very hard not to let it show.
A/n: I JUST NEED THIS OUT OF MY BRAIN OKAY? All fluff and a little secret feelings! Everyone knows they like each other though, I’m sure they’ve got betting pools for when Jethro is finally going to ask you out; or you ask him.
Gibbs finds you adorable but fights it every time he comes into autopsy. You’re a caffeinated, energizer bunny of a person, but you’re an incredible medical examiner.
You’re the youngest on the team, and you’re cute. He’s not blind and he’s not ignorant to his feelings.
He is, however, not going to act on them.
You’re Ducky’s assistant and you’re whip smart, he likes that the most about you.
How quick you’re able to make connections, how you carry on Ducky’s thoughts and ask just the right question when the investigation gets a little stuck.
Jethro likes you, and he suspects you know it.
“What do you have for me Duck?” He asks as the doors to autopsy open, and finds only you, slurping a Caff-Pow that Abby got you hooked on.
“Oh, Ducky went out.” You say, slipping your hands back into gloves as you start moving over to the body on the table.
“What did you find?” If his voice softens just a fraction that’s no one’s business.
“The victim died from asphyxiation, there’s also gunshot wounds, but based on the way the skin tissue looks, it was all postmortem.” Jethro watches as you point and gesture to the body, voice steady even if you seem a little excited that you’ve got his full attention.
“The killer had to have been someone they knew, because there’s no sign of a struggle on the body. Maybe they were asleep? We’re still waiting for the brain sample results to come in.”
He’s about to walk out when you turn to him.
“I wasn’t finished, Jethro.” You and Ducky are the only ones who call him that now, and he won’t lie it makes his heart speed a little; he definitely ignores that because he’s too old.
Instead, he stops at the door, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling.
“What else, Y/n?” He tries to sound exasperated, but his fondness for you colours his words completely.
You giggle at the realization, and sit on the stool as you continue.
“There’s also this case of enucleation. Ducky and I can’t be sure, but it looks like this was also done postmortem. The question is why. None of the other marines lost their eyes, just this one.”
He sighs, long and hard. It is a weird trait to have on only one of the bodies.
“Maybe this one was the important one. Did Abby get a hit on the identification of the body?”
Just then she calls and you rush over to answer her call.
“Anything Abs?” You ask, leaning into the screen and giving her your full attention.
Gibbs smiles, watching you listen with rapt attention to every side story Abby gives you.
“Abby, the name?” He calls from behind you and you straighten like you’ve been caught with your hand in the cookie jar before dinner.
“Oh hey Gibbs,” he gives her a little nod, coming to stand just beside you. “The victim’s name is Lieutenant Georgia Landon. She wasn’t married, but her friends said that she’d been going on dates with one guy, a Mr. White, no first name.”
You nod, already trying to come to connect dots for the team.
“But there’s got to be at least a few hundred ‘White’s in the country Abs.”
She nods at your words, smiling at how you’ve beaten Gibbs to the punch and he only folds his arms across his chest with the smallest smile ever.
“I know. I’m trying to see if I can get anything by looking into their date spots, but it’s gonna take me a minute.”
Gibbs nods, “Good work Abby.”
“What about me?” You mumble, eyes soft and a little tired behind your glasses. He can’t seem to help himself as he leans close and kisses your cheek.
“Good work.”
As he’s leaving he hears you whisper to her, “Do you think another Caff-Pow now would be too much?”
Gibbs shakes his head, “You need to eat lunch before you have another one, Y/n.”
Pairing: Leroy Jethro Gibbs x Reader wife
You feel the tension ease as Jethro brushed your hair. The kids were tucked in and Jethro was helping you with your hair untangling the wild mane. You were in a meeting with a marine in recalled to DC who was in charge of an embassy regarding a leak and security breach. He slipped up , with an information that was possible for him to know only if he was the mole. He attacked you then. Luckily Jethro taught you some really cool self defence techniques. He taught you how to fight. You overpowered him. Not an easy fit. You had a lot of bruises and an injury on your right wrist and shoulder. So Jethro was helping you with your hair.
“ Jethro it hurts” you whine as Jethro ties your hair up in plaits. He specifically learned it from the internet so you don’t have to strain your hands.
“ I know baby, but it will be bettering a few days” he says softly.
“ Maybe if you kiss it , the pain will go away” you pout as you sit on his lap putting your arms around his neck. The heavy dose of painkillers was really making you loopy.
“OK” he says as he softly kisses your bruises. You rub yourself against him as you kiss him on his lips. He kisses you back. You feel his hardness growing in his pants.
“ Babe” he groans. “ Don’t do that love . I wont be able to control myself You are tired. I don’t want you to exert yourself anymore love” he whispers.
You make a puppy face and say please , and that does it for Jethro. The last vestige of control leaves his mind. Yet he is careful not to hurt you. To see that you don’t strain your arm. He kisses you deeply and cups your breasts. He picks the nipples with his tongue before entering you. He is careful with his pace , holding your weight so you don’t overexert yourself. As you cum Jethro pulls out. But you protest. “ Babe please no, I want you too cum too. “ You plead.
“ Are you sure you are not tired love?” he asks .” No Jethro please please cum for me love”. You urge on.
He entered you again and this time you both unfurl together. Jethro pulls out while kissing the top of your head. He moves down with his kisses till he eats you out and you cum once more. Then he kisses you , allowing you to taste yourself before cuddling you tightly as you both whispers soft murmurs of love before drifting g off to sleep.
Remember me
Leroy Jethro Gibbs x Fem!OC
Warnings: hospitals, mild swearing, drinking (I’ve never done these kinds of tags before so lmk if I need to add more)
A/N: first post and definitely not proof read so… yeah. Have fun!
“Elaine,” Tony’s voice was urgent.
“Tony I’m a little busy the floor is packed,” Elaine said as she filled multiple syringes and replaced the protective caps.
“Yeah we have one coming your way right now,” Tony said. Elaine straightened.
“What? Who? Is everyone okay?” Elaine asked.
“It’s Gibbs,” Tony said, “he was in an explosion. Bus just took him and they’re en route to you. I thought you would want some warning.”
“Yes thank you Tony,” Elaine looked at a passing nurse and handed her the syringes, “room 4.” The nurse looked puzzled but nodded, “ETA?”
“2200 ma’am,” Tony said.
“Copy that, I’ll take care of it,” Elaine said before hanging up the phone. She looked to the bustling nurses before shouting, “I need a trauma bed prepped stat! IV and intubation on hand!” The nurses around her quickly sprang into action. It wasn’t long until Elaine heard the ambulance pull up to the bay, “This one is mine!” She shouted. She ran to the offloading dock and looked down at Gibbs. His face was harshly burned and his eyes seemed to be bleeding. As the team of nurses walked along his side Elaine spoke to him, “Leroy! Leroy!” She held a small light into his eyes, watching the pupils slowly dilate.
“Do we have an ID?” one of the nurses around her asked.
“Special Agent Gibbs, NCIS,” Elaine said quickly as they pulled up to the bed. They heaved his body onto the hospital bed and began further examination. One nurse prepped the IV, another intubated him, while a third began assessing injuries. Elaine shouted orders and began pushing medication into the IV. Her heart seemed to pound in her ears, the sounds around her blurring into one another. THe only thing in focus, Gibbs.
“Skip the X-Ray, Go straight to a CAT scan,” Elaine said to a nurse as they left.
For the next hour Elaine moved with Gibbs from room to room as they began to slowly stabalize him from the explosion. She took a detailed record of all of the injuries. She looked down at him quietly, standing by his bedside, eyes darting from one burn to another.
“Ma’am, a call for you at the nursing station,” A male nurse popped his head into the room. Elaine followed them quickly. From the other end was Jenny’s voice.
“I’m trying to see him but your head nurse won’t let me into trauma,” Jenny sounded irritated. Elaine sighed and looked to the trauma doors. She slammed the phone down and jogged to the doors, pulling them open, “Jenny,” She nodded into the trauma room. Jenny quickly slipped in. Elaine looked at the head nurse with a withering glare, “If anyone else comes for Gibbs you let them back, do you hear me?” She said.
“Yes ma’am,” The head nurse said just as the doors began to close. Elaine looked at Jenny.
“You look nice,” Elaine said as they quickly began walking back to where Gibbs lay, surrounded by machines taking tests and keeping him stable.
“I came from a dinner at the whitehouse,” Jenny said. Elaine raised her eyebrows and nodded, “Is he going to be okay?”
“I-” Elaine sighed and ran a hand over her face, “It’s bad, Jenny, but we’re doing everything we can,” Jenny nodded, ‘Once he’s stable we can move him to a bed in the trauma bay-, something a little more permanent.”
“Sounds good,” Jenny looked at Elaine, “You look like hell.”
“Oh yeah?” Elaine smiled slightly and shook her head, “I guess you took all the good looks for yourself tonight.” Jenny laughed. Soon the telltale clunking of platform shoes echoed down the hall.
“Ellie?” Abby cried, throwing her arms around the doctor. Abby pulled back and held Elaine by her shoulders, “Is he going to be alright?”
“I think-”
‘You think?! No! I need an ‘I Know’! ‘I think’ isn’t positive news!” Abby said, “you have to do something!” Jenny pulled Abby back.
“Abby, that’s enough.”
“No! There has to be more-!”
“Abby!” Jenny scolded, quieting abby, “she’s doing everything she can.”
Elaine, abby and Jenny stood by as they moved Gibbs into a room. Elaine looked down at him. His eyes seemed to be darting around behind his eyelids. Elaine told them everything she knew about the situation, and what was happening to Gibbs.
“Neurology will be back in tomorrow, and hopefully we can assess his brain better then,” Elaine crossed her arms, “Until then… It’s just about keeping him stable.” She looked back down to the man on the bed and felt her hands start to shake. For the first time since the call, the gravity of the situation was actually beginning to weigh on her. Her hand moved to softly take Gibbs’ limp one. She gave it three small squeezes before laying it back down, “I’ve done everything I can, for now,” Elaine’s voice was quiet. Scared.
“You’ve done well, Elaine, thank you,” Jenny said, placing a reassuring hand on Elaine’s shoulder. Elaine felt tears burning at the back of her eyes. She coughed and cleared her throat with a sniff.
“Um, ill be in throughout the night to check on him. One of you is welcome to stay the night though. Let me know if anything changes. My nurses will take care of him,” Elaine said. She walked from the room, stopping momentarily to look back at him before taking a deep breath and returning to work.
~~~
Morning came slowly, and with the strike of 700 hours the neurologist was in and briefed by Elaine. Jenny had stayed the night to look over Jethro, as well as Elaine. The neurologist looked down at Gibbs’s sleeping form as he performed tests. Elaine stood in the back with Tony and Jenny. Tony had her tucked against his side as they watched the doctor work.
“Off the clock now, Duckling?” Tony asked. Elaine nodded, “You should go home then.” Elaine shook her head.
“Not until Leroy is awake,” She said. Tony sighed but relented, tugging her in tight and resting his chin on her head.
“Very Ducky of you,” He said. Elaine smiled weakly.
“Doctor,” Jenny called, “is he in pain?”
The doctor seemed contemplative as he looked down at Gibbs. Jenny called to the doctor again, “Did this man serve in desert storm?”
~~~
Elaine sat alone in Gibb’s room. While Tony wasn’t able to talk her into leaving, he did managed to get her fresh clothes. The director had left hours ago as the rain still pelted on the windows outside. Gibbs was completely still and yet still somehow looked restless. She sat there in the silence, just looking at him, watching his chest rise and fall with each breath, remembering that he was alive.
“You know, to the untrained eye, you just look asleep,” Elaine spoke. She traced gentle patterns into the back of his uninjured hand, “I know better, but it’s nice to pretend sometimes.” She sighed and put her head down on the bed. Tears pricked at her eyes as she’s turned her head to look up at Gibbs, “please wake up,” her voice was a weak whisper.
“Ah, Tony told me I would find you here,” Ducky stood at the opening of the room. Elaine sat up and rubbed the tears from her eyes with a smal sniffle.
“Hey dad.”
“Hello, sweetie,” Ducky moved across the floor and Elaine stood. Ducky opened his arms and Elaine quickly moved to his embrace. The dam broke and the tears fell. She clung to her father and sobbed into his shoulder as he gently pet the back of her hair, “I know, my dear Elaine, I know.”
Ducky and Elaine sat with Gibbs for hours, telling stories. Until the neurologist came in.
“Doctor Wright,” The neurologist said. Elaine stood.
“Doctor Gelfand, hello,” She moved to him.
“Forgive me I shouldn’t have been eavesdropping but your company was telling a fascinating story,” Dr Gelfand said with a smile. Elaine laughed lightly and nodded.
“This is my Godfather Dr. Donald Mallard,” Elaine said, “he’s a medical examiner.”
“Yes I’ve heard, it’s nice to meet you,” Dr Gelfand shook Ducky’s hand, “did you know Agent Gibbs was wounded in Desert Storm?”
Ducky shook his head, “Jethro doesn’t speak much of his past. I consider myself one of his closest friends but even I do not know much about before we met.”
“He has an ‘always moving forward’ mentality,” Elaine said. Gelfand nodded and moved to Gibb’s side to begin performing tests.
Suddenly Gibbs’ heart monitor began increasing. Elaine rushed to his side as Gibbs’s eyes shot open and he began gasping and straining.
“Gibbs? Gibbs! Can you blink?” Gelfand watched as Gibbs squeezed his eyes closed and open again, “okay and then stuck out your thumb!” Gibbs’ straining hand formed a fist and lifted it thumb, “do you want the tube out?” Gibbs nodded and Elaine quickly removed the tube from his throat and put an oxygen mask over his nose and mouth.
“Good job, Leroy,” Elaine said as she put her stethoscope to his heart.
“I’m Doctor Gelfand, this is Doctor Mallard and Dr Wright,” Gelfand said as Gibbs’ eyes darted around the room.
“He knows me as Ducky,” Ducky corrected.
“You were in an explosion, so you remember?” Gelfand asked. Gibbs nodded and looked at Elaine and Ducky. His shaky hand removed the mask.
“I don’t know them.”
~~~
Elaine stepped out of the hospital, her breathing ragged as tears blurred her vision. In Gibbs’ brain it was just after desert storm. The last 15 years of his life were completely blank meaning everything between them was gone. With all of the power she could muster she shouted into the air, hoping some god somewhere would hear her and return Jethro’s memory.
Gelfand said he was having a potential depressive relapse from desert storm after losing Shannon and Kelly. When Jenny heard of the news she began looking for other desert storm operatives that Gibbs may have known.
As the tears slowed Elaine pulled out her phone and flipped it open. She typed in DiNozzo’s number and held it to her ear.
“Super special agent Anthony DiNozzo,” he greeted. Elaine took a deep breath.
“Hey, Jenny’s coming to give you more information but… Leroy is awake.”
“That’s great!” DiNozzo said. Elaine sighed and ran a hand down her face, “that’s… not great?”
“He has amnesia,” Elaine said, “he thinks he just got back from desert storm.” Tony was quiet on the other end, “I neeed… I need to go home and get ready for my next shift.”
“Elaine, are you sure you shouldn’t call out?” Tony said.
“I’m fine, Tony,” Elaine said, “Leroy is still my patient, it’s my job to take care of him. I’ll call you with any more updates.”
~~~
When Elaine arrived to her night shift she couldn’t help but peek into Gibbs’ room first, “good Evening Mr. Gibbs!” She plastered on her best professional smile, “I’m Doctor Elaine Wright. Im the doctor in charge of your case.”
Gibbs looked at her and studied her face, “you were here earlier,” he said, “when I woke up.”
Elaine nodded and stepped further into the room, “yes I was.”
“You called me Leroy,” He said sitting up, “the doc said I knew you.”
Elaine nodded and sat down next to him, “you do,” her voice was soft, “but it’s okay if you forget for awhile. It’ll come back.”
“How do we know each other?” Gibbs asked. Elaine smiled and looked down momentarily, debating whether or not to tell him the truth. She looked at the engagement band on her finger and played with it slightly. Gibbs’ eyes followed the movement and he visibly deflated, “oh.” He ran a hand down his face with a long sigh, “well that’s one way to make a man feel like an ass.”
Elaine laughed lightly, “it’s okay. As long as you are like this we are simply Doctor and patient,” she patted the back of his hand and stood, “I’ll be in throughout the night so let me know if you need anything.” She gave him her professional smile again and turned to walk out.
“Are we married?” Gibbs asked. Elaine shook her head.
“Not yet,” and she left.
~~~
In the early hours of the morning Elaine felt Gibbs eyes on her as she looked through charts at the nursing stand. she looked back at him to see him studying her face with a concentrated expression. She put the clipboard down and slipped into his room.
“You should be sleeping, Mr. Gibbs,” Elaine said to him as she approached the computer next to him to enter his vitals for the hour. Gibbs was quiet as he watched her work.
“Your ring,” he reached his hand out towards her. Elaine turned to him and placed her left hand in his to present the engagement ring, “it was Shannon’s.” His thumb rubbed over the modest diamond. Elaine nodded.
“You said it just felt right for me to have it,” She said, “you can take it back for now,” she whispered.
“No, keep it,” Gibbs said, “feel bad enough not remembering my apparent fiancée, taking your ring too just doesn’t sit right with me.”
Elaine laughed lightly and pulled her hand away, “it’ll come to you. Now, get some rest,” She fake glared at him, “or you will be in serious trouble Mr. Gibbs. I’ll be off the clock soon so let the charge nurse know if you need anything.”
~~~
Entering the house felt strange without Jethro at her side. The usually familiar and warm walls felt claustrophobic. She sighed and dropped her bag on the ground, kicking her shoes to the side in the way she knew Gibbs would scold her for.
Elaine rolled out her shoulders and approached the kitchen, throwing open the fridge and retrieving one of Gibbs’ beers. She used the edge of the countertop to pop the lid off and took a long swig before padding her way to their shared bedroom. She threw on one of his sweaters and some spanks before making her way to the basement door, grabbing another cold one on the way. She stared at the boat from the top of the stairs. She chugged the remainder of her first beer, tossing it into the garbage can beneath her before descending the stairs.
“It’s quiet down here without him, huh?” She spoke to the boat, patting its hull. She then cringed at herself, “I’ve been spending too much time around my godfather.” She plopped down on the stool by the boat, looking over the various tools lying out on the workbench. Her eyes caught in the sandpaper. She sighed and cracked open the second beer before grabbing the sandpaper and walking over to the boat. Carefully she sanded the wood, “with the grain,” she said to herself, as though trying to create a Gibbs in her mind. Preferably one that knew who she was. She felt the sting of tears behind her eyes and rested her forehead against the wood. Small dark spots appeared where her fears fell onto the wood, “Dammit Leroy,” she whispered to the empty room. She grabbed her beer and chugged it before frowning. She dropped it next to her and let it shatter.
She moved back to the workbench and shuffled through the shelves before her hand found what she was looking for. The half empty bottle of bourbon Jethro hid down here. She uncorked the top and took a long swig, suffering through the hot burn down the back of her throat. Once she swallowed she coughed and looked down at the bottle. Elaine wiped her eyes and sat down as she took another long swig and waited for the old buzz to hit.
~~~
“Duckling?” Elaine’s eyes opened, her head throbbing as she squinted into the midday light let down from the high windows, “Elaine,” she rubbed her eyes, the person in front of her coming into focus.
“DiNozzo?” She rasped.
“The one and only,” Tony placed his hand on her shoulder as she tipped over, “let’s get you away from the sharp woodworking tools.”
“I feel like shit,” Elaine said as Tony helped her to her feet.
“You don’t look much better,” he said. They reached the top of the stairs and he shut off the light before helping her over to the couch, “how much did you have to drink?” He asked as he helped her sit.
“Two beers,” Elaine said, Tony side eyes her and she rolled her eyes, “one and a half beers and some of Leroy’s bourbon.”
“Ah,” Tony said, “that stuff is practically paint thinner and you, sweet doctor, are what the professionals call a ‘lightweight’.”
“My liver is screaming at me,” Elaine grumbled, “and my head, and my-“ she gagged, “stomach.”
“Where do you keep the Advil?” Tony asked. Elaine pointed to the bathroom and Tony quickly returned with a few tablets and a glass of water. “Had anything to eat?”
“Whatever Leroy didn’t finish last night,” Elaine said.
“Delicious,” Tony said.
“I should go to the hospital,” Elaine said after chugging the water, “check on Leroy.”
“Na-ah,” DiNozzo said, “you are gonna stay right here. The director is with him right now.”
“The director is my competition,” Elaine said.
“Something about that ring Gibbs gave you tells me otherwise,” Tony sat next to her. His phone rang and Elaine groaned. Tony flipped the phone open and spoke quietly into the receiver, “right, on my way.” He flipped the phone shut, “duty calls. He stood and looked down at her with a frown, “no more drinking.”
“No more drinking,” Elaine repeated.
~~~
“Where is Leroy?” Elaine asked as she clocked into her shift. The room was empty where he was supposed to be.
“Some guy took him out front,” one of the nurses said. Elaine sighed and quickly made her way outside. Her eyes darted around before landing on him shoveling in a steak and fries across from an older man. She began walking over when Gibbs’s eyes got wide and he dashed to a trash can quickly emptying out that steak. Elaine dashed forwards, “Mr. Gibbs? Are you alright?” She called. The other man stepped in front of her and put his hand out to halt her.
“He just got some… bad news,” the man said. Elaine glared at him.
“Your nurse was right doc,” Leroy said, wiping the corner of his mouth, “I wasn’t ready for that steak.” Elaine sighed, “Mike, this is my doctor, Elaine Wright.”
“Oh the fiancée,” the older man said. Elaine furrowed her brows looking at him.
“And you are?” She crossed he arms.
“Mike Franks,” The man stuck out his hand, “I’m your parents first boss.”
“Well my patient needs to come back inside,” Elaine said. Franks laughed.
“Sassy redheads,” He said, “Gunny always did have a weakness.”
~~~
It was late into the night when Ziva came to visit. Elaine showed her to his room where he laid asleep in bed.
“Do you mind if I speak to him? Alone?” Ziva asked.
“Of course not. Give me a shout if you need me,” Elaine squeezed Ziva’s hand nod walked off to check on other patients. It wasn’t 30 minutes later when Gibbs’ voice rang through the quiet halls.
“Elaine?! Elaine?!” He shouted, rounding out of his room. Elaine turned around from the nurses station.
“Over here!” She said. When Gibbs looked at her Elaine knew something had changed. There was recognition in his eyes. He rushed to her, grabbing her face and slotting his lips to hers. Relief flooded through Elaine’s body as she melted against him. One of his hands moved down her neck and left arm before clutching her left hand. He ran his thumb over the engagement ring before pulling away. He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed the ring, “Leroy?” Elaine asked tentatively. He nodded.
“I need to get to NCIS,” He said softly.
“You are in no state to drive, Leroy,” Elaine said, eyes darting between his.
“It’s important,” he said, voice urgent. Elaine nodded.
“Okay, okay, I’ll drive you,” She said. She began to pull away but he pulled her close again, kissing her breathless once more.
“Sorry I forgot,” He whispered against her lips.
“Don’t apologize, it’s a sign of weakness,” was her reply. Gibbs placed one last kiss on her lips before pulling away with a small smile.
~~~
They rushed into the NCIS building. Elaine had given Gibbs’ a pair of scrubs from the nurses station. Gibbs sped out of the elevator with Elaine trotting behind him.
“Boss!” Tony quickly stood.
“MTAC,” Was all Leroy replied all of the team stood up and began following him. Gibbs suddenly stopped and turned around. He took Elaine by she shoulders and guided her backwards to his desk where he plopped her down in his chair, “stay.”
“I’m not a dog,” Elaine said with a raised brow. Leroy smirked and kissed her forehead before turning and rushing up the stairs speaking quickly to his team and greeting Abby and Ducky.
While Elaine was elated to have him back, there was a familiar anxiety gnawing at the back of her mind that something bad was about to happen. She watched the MTAC doors shut and leaned back in her chair. Abby and Ducky moved to greet her as well.
“Are you doing okay?” Ducky asked quietly. Elaine nodded quietly and looked to the older man.
“What happened?” She asked.
“I’m afraid that’s strictly-“
“Need to know,” Elaine finished for him. Abby nodded with a sympathetic look. Elaine sighed but nodded.
It wasn’t long until Gibbs stormed down the stairs, an icy glare painted on his face. Elaine jumped to her feet, “Leroy-?” But he just shouldered past her and opened his desk, retrieving his gun and badge before storming off again, “Leroy!” She called after him.
When he came down next, he was calm, almost too calm. He looked around at his team and his eyes landed on Tony, “you’ll do,” He said, taking Tony’s hand and placing his badge into him, “they’re your team now, DiNozzo.”
Elaine’s eyes widened, but when Leroy looked over at her she felt that familiar calm. She just nodded, “Let’s go home, Ellie,” He said.
Elaine looked over at him on the couch. He still had burns across his face but he looked content with her legs pulled over his lap, tracing mindless shapes into her skin as he watched the television. She studied the side of his face over her book taking in every detail. She felt grateful. Grateful that he had survived, thankful he had gotten away from the bomb. And now, grateful that when he looked over at her, his eyes sparked with that familiar fondness.
“Ellie,” He looked over at her and she felt that sub she felt every time they locked eyes, “you look like you want to say something.”
Elaine smiled and put down her book, scooting closer to cup his cheek in her hand and gently stroke it, “I’m just glad you’re home,” her voice was soft.
“Yeah?” The corner of his mouth ticked up in a small smile as his arm hooked around her waist and pulled over flush to his chest.
“Yeah,” was all she replied. The sat in silence for a moment, enjoying the closeness and the comfortable quiet.
“What do you think about Mexico?” Gibbs asked just before kissing the top of her head, “you, me, a beach. No screens, no phones, no emergencies,” He murmured into her hair. Elaine smiled against his chest.
“Mexico sounds nice.”
Ain’t Woman Enough
Gibbs x f!reader
Warnings: jealous!reader, slight angst but mostly fluff and flirting, allusions to smut but no actual smut
A/N: This song popped up on shuffle and this fic just came to me. Enjoy!
Thank you @daphne-bourne for reigniting my Gibbs love and finally getting this out of my drafts! 💕
You walked with a certain pep in your step as you made your way to the front lobby of the NCIS building where you knew your man would be waiting for you. It was nice working in the same building, him in the investigative unit and you in legal, since you could meet up for coffee breaks or after the workday. It had been such a long, frustrating day today and you couldn’t wait to fall into his embrace.
To your surprise, he wasn’t sitting at his usual spot with a coffee in his hand and another on the table for you. No, he was standing near the small café with a wide smile on his face, hands in his pockets, and a tall, lean, red-headed woman in front of him.
You slowly made your way down the long staircase to the main floor of the lobby, your gaze never leaving your boyfriend and his new friend. She was laughing and putting her hand on Jethro’s bicep as you approached. He must have said something that was just so funny. A hot blush swells over your chest.
“Jethro,” you practically spat, clearing your throat and taking a step closer. His eyes met yours and his features immediately softened into a real smile, much different than the fake one he was sporting just a moment ago.
“Hi sweetheart,” The words flow off his lips in that deep baritone honey you love so much. You raise your brow, glancing over to the mystery woman quickly, trying your hardest not to give in to his knee-weakening gaze.
“Oh Jethro, is this one of your fellow special agents?” The woman questions. It takes everything in you to not slap her right across her primped face. Patience is a virtue you remind yourself in your head
Rather than letting him answer the question, you step closer to him and place a hand firmly on his shoulder, balancing yourself to reach up and kiss him sweetly and deeply. Usually you wouldn’t show such affection in public, but you had a point to make. You can hear an audible gasp coming from the red-headed hussy behind you.
Your lips lock with his over and over, tongue poking onto his lower lip. Jethro grabs at your arm with a harsh grip, practically asking you “What the hell has gotten into you?” With only his fingertips. A soft hum escapes your lips as you finally pull away and you meet Jethro’s wide-eyed expression with your smug one.
“Very special,” You purr, reaching over to swipe a smudge of lipstick off of his lip. Out of the corner of your eye you see Jethro trying desperately to hide a cheeky smirk from spreading across his face.
“Oh, Jethro was just telling me how close your team is, but I, uh, didn’t realize you were, so um—“ The woman stammered and straightened up, fidgeting with her blouse, suddenly unsure what to do with her hands.
Jethro’s hand slides down to land on your lower back and he presses a short peck to your temple. You can barely feel the small gust of air expelling from his nose as he stifles a laugh.
“Some more than others,” He finally breaks the uncomfortable (for the mystery women) silence.
“Well it was lovely to meet you,” You begin facetiously, “Better be on our way, hm Jet?” You slide your hand into his and turn to head towards the door.
She just stands there speechless, probably for the first time in her life, and watches the two of you walk away, hand-in-hand.
You make it out the door and into the warm summer evening air before Jethro lets out a laugh. Your eyes meet his as your hands raise to your hips, one popping out to the side, just waiting for him to speak first.
“Green is a new color on you, sweetheart,” He laughs and pulls you into a sweet hug, still chuckling snd shaking his head.
“I’m sorry,” You sigh into his warm, broad chest, “I didn’t mean to make a scene. I just, I didn’t like the way she was talking to you — flipping her hair, grabbing your arm,” You mock her movements in a most exaggerated fashion, pulling another honey-glazed laugh from your man.
“Just an old friend, killer,” He reassures you, pulling your hand up to meet his lips while you just stand there, defeated.
“Mhm, you have a lot of old friends around here, player,” You raise an eyebrow at him again, jabbing your finger jokingly into his chest, “Especially red-headed ones.”
He lowers his chin to meet your gaze head-on, the hint of a smile yanking on one side of his closed lips. He grumbles something akin to “c‘mere” and pulls you into him again, one hand meeting the small of your back and the other resting at the base of your neck. His long, thick fingers snaked over your loose hair and pulled it over your shoulder so one ear was exposed. He placed a sweet peck on your lips before trailing them to the shell of your ear.
“None of them compare to you,” He growls, barely loud enough for you to hear, but you feel the change in his tone immediately. A silly grin spreads across your face as you feel a rush of excitement creep into your chest.
Jethro does something next that sends that heat straight down to your lower half. He slides the hand that was planted on your back down and plants a swat on your butt that sends a shiver up your spine. He rarely shows you that kind of affection out in public.
It was when you lifted your eyes to meet his in surprise that you spotted Tony and McGee walking up to you, likely just wanting to say and instead getting a free show. Tony had wider eyes than you’d ever seen before and Tim was turning every shade of red.
“Uh, hey you,” Tony greets timidly, “Boss.” He can’t seem to meet either of your eyes. McGee just smiles and adjusts the collar on his shirt nervously.
“Hi boys!” You let out a laugh and tuck yourself into Jethro’s shoulder, pretending to hide your face, while he wraps a strong arm around your waist. He’s suddenly got the same stern look he always seems to have around his team.
“Have a good weekend, agents,” Jethro says with a certain lilt in his voice that only you seem to catch. Tony and McGee let a stream of “thanks boss,” “you too boss,” “bye guys,” “take care,” fall from their still-shocked mouths as you wave and start heading for the car per Jethro’s strong hand on your back guiding you that way.
You look up at him and his stern expression finally breaks, the corners of his mouth turning up into a knowing smile. He leans slightly and presses a kiss to your temple as you hurriedly make your way home so you can continue what he started.
Hi hon, I've been reading your work for our lovely Jethro Gibbs, and I had a lil fic/drabble idea of my own- if you have the time
Lets say you and Gibbs are on vacation, and you convince him to go biking with you. He grudgingly agrees, and when he sees you happy and looking back at him smiling hes just so whipped- maybe thinking about how he got so lucky and just tooth rotting fluff, yk? (He would def try to race you) ♡
I’m so sorry this took me so long to get to 😭 But this request is too cute 🥹 I hope I did your idea justice!
—————
“Come on, Jay,” you groan, “When’s the last time you rode a bike? 1914?”
“A little earlier actually,” he fires back, barely repressing a smile, “before we boarded the Titanic.”
Dropping your phone in the wicker basket attached to the handle bars, you make your way over to your husband of 4 days and 16 hours, give or take a few with the time difference in Italy. You slide his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose and settle them in his hair before lovingly running your thumbs back and forth over his cheeks. “You look downright fabulous for your age. What’s your secret?”
He gently brings your left hand to his lips and kisses the band adorning your ring finger. You can’t help but smile at the gesture. “I marry younger every time.”
Your smile drops immediately, and you playfully glare at him. “Ruined it.”
Jethro barks out a laugh, tugging you closer and pressing his lips to yours until he feels them twist upwards into a grin again. “Better?”
“No,” you answer cheekily, pulling away to get settled on your seat. “As punishment, I hereby declare you enjoy a leisurely bike ride with your wife down to the coast.”
He shakes his head with a smile as you take off down the road, ringing the little bell and taunting him over your shoulder. Jethro swings his leg over his matching bicycle and readjusts his sunglasses before pedaling to catch up. He’s admittedly a little wobbly at first and he feels the tiniest bit ridiculous, but when you turn to look at him with a brilliant smile, all of his insecurities melt away.
You’re positively glowing in the Amalfi sunshine, your nose crinkling in delight and a laugh bubbling out of you when you narrowly avoid a street vendor selling flowers on the sidewalk. Jethro slows to apologize to the vendor, surprised when he shakes his head and offers a single flower to the older man before pointing in your direction. Your husband angles his head in thanks, then doubles his efforts to reach you again.
“What happened to ‘leisurely’, you little speed demon?” Jethro calls, and you crest to a stop to wait for him.
“Sorry, slowpoke,” you tease, your face lighting up when he presents the vibrant red rose to you. Your eyes flutter closed as you inhale deeply, and when they open again, Jethro feels his heart skip a beat at the pure adoration swimming in them. “It’s perfect,” you declare, sweeping your hair into a low bun and tucking the stem behind your ear.
“You’re perfect,” your husband croons, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to the corner of your mouth. He says it almost subconsciously, but the meaning behind the words is genuine. He can’t help the slow smile that spreads across his face as he takes in your beautiful features, the way your head is tilted just slightly while you study him in kind, the delicate wisps of stray hairs framing your face, the twinkle in your eyes. A soft dusting of pink colors your cheeks under his intense gaze, and you turn away bashfully with a quiet, “Stop looking at me like that or I’m gonna melt, Jay.”
He lets out a soft chuckle and nudges your back tire with his foot to get you moving again. You start pumping your legs to continue down the street, and when you turn back to see where Jethro is, you find him looking up at the sky with a small smile on his face.
“What was that about?” you ask gently when he’s by your side again.
“Oh, that?” He places his hand over yours on the handlebar and gives it a squeeze. “Just thanking Shan for sending you to me.”
Tears spring to your eyes at the raw emotion in his voice, and you think about how far you’ve come since the day you first met Jethro. Your reminiscing is short-lived, the cheeky bastard taking advantage of your pause to get ahead of you and yelling, “Race ya there!”
You laugh in surprise, hastily swiping at your eyes before kicking off from the street. “Get back here, old man! You’re supposed to let me win! You’ve been married enough times to know about happy wife, happy life- hey! Cheater!”
Partners (Tony x Reader) [SMUT]
Tony sat with his head thrown back and his eyes screwed tightly shut. Your head bobbed up and down as light moans escaping from between his lips.
“Fuck (y/n)” he groaned as you sucked his solid cock. You looked up at him, his usually perfect angel looked so slutty. Your pretty lips wrapped around his cock. You watery eyes looking up as him as slobber dripped from your smiling face.
“Mmmmh” you moaned as his hand pushed you further on his cock.
“God you feel fucking amazing” he breathed heavily. “Oh yeah” he felt his muscles spasm slightly as you sped up. Rapidly swirling your tongue. You flicked your tongue on his tip. Sending him straight into overdrive. “Fuck (y/n)” he groaned as he pushed his hot cum into your mouth. Busting deep down your throat.
You lifted your head resulting in 2 satisfied groans and a wet pop.
“Your turn now baby girl” he says pulling you up. “Come here” you sit between his legs. His fingers trace your soaking wet core. You move into his touch. “Mmm. Tell me what you want baby”
“You” you whisper and push his fingers into you. He smiles behind you. Your insides coating and throbbing on his fingers.
“Ohh this is what you want?” He teases as he slowly fucks you.
“Mhm” you say. A guttural moan escaping from your lips as he pleased you.
“Like this? Hm?”
“Yes daddy” you say in a sultry voice. He hums as he picks up the pace. His two fingers doing the trick for you as his other arm secured you against him as you squirmed.
“Oh no baby girl where are you going?” He says holding you tightly. “You can’t go anywhere” he growls in your ear. “No no. Not till daddy sees that pussy cum”
“Mmmm” you moan deeply as he rapidly finger fucks you. You began to feel that knot building up in your core. Your hips bucking erratically as you neared your climax.
“Ohhh daddy feels that pussy getting tighter” he says in your ear. You dig your nails deeply into his thighs. One hand thrown up by his neck as your body ached to be away from his pleasurable touch. “Mmm baby, leaving marks hm?”
“Fuck” you begin to repeat. Your hips were moving sporadically, your pussy throbbing around his fingers. “Fuck Tony” you groan as you orgasm on his fingers.
“That’s it baby girl” he continues helps you through your orgasm. “That’s my girl” he holds you against him. Both arms wrapped around you.
“We should do that more often” you sigh as he kisses you lightly.
“Mhm I agree” he hugs you. “It felt so good”
“You felt so good” you say as you lean back in his arms to look at him.
“So did you. Come on shorty, let’s get you cleaned up”
“Nap on the couch first?”
“No” he chuckled. “Actually…”
“Yes” you smile and stand, putting on his pajama shirt, and a clean thong. While he pulled up his boxers. The two of you laid in the couch fast asleep, you had fallen asleep watching forensic files.
