Baby Thoughts
Prompt: You never really thought about having children with your boyfriend, until a situation brings it up.
Mentions of OD Death, baby neglect.
"Look. I'm just a small fish in a big pond. I'm not the one selling that stuff, Julie is," the jittery man across the interrogation table explained to you and McGee. The both of you had been pulling as much information as you could out of him in correlation with your investigation in the death of a Marine but he wasn't much help.
"Alright. Well where can we find Julie?" McGee asked, writing everything down in a pad.
"She's been staying in the Independence hotel on 5th. Room 36. That's the last place I saw her."
Satisfied with a lead, as small as it was, you stood with McGee and exited the room, joining the rest of the team in the squad room.
"Got an address boss," McGee updated.
Jethro got up from his seat, grabbing his coffee and began walking towards the elevators while giving orders.
"DiNozzo, Torres, you two go see if the nearby gas station has any security footage of our Marine's murder, McGee, you're with me and Y/N."
Both you and Tim raced to your desks to retrieve your weapons and then to the elevators before Jethro shut the doors.
- - - -
You sat shotgun as Jethro drove to the address, pulling up to a rundown looking Motel. It wasn't in the greatest neighborhood and you were already dealing with a suspected drug deal gone bad, so you were on high alert. The three of you got out, surveilling your surroundings before heading to Room 36. The distant sound of a baby crying could be heard from inside the room as Jethro knocked loudly.
"Julie Oscrow, NCIS!"
There was no answer so Jethro knocked again as McGee checked the windows.
"Can't see anything boss."
A knot formed in your stomach as Jethro pulled his gun out, you and McGee following suit as he opened the door. Once you entered the room, you noticed two things immediately. The terrible smell that entered your nose and the sight of a woman on the floor, foam pooling from her mouth.
"Y/N, call it in," Jethro ordered before rushing over to her and preforming CPR.
Holstering your weapon, you pulled your phone out and dialed for EMS as McGee cleared the rest of the hotel room. It wasn't long before Jethro stopped, knowing that she was past saving, you putting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Hey boss, we got a problem," McGee announced from the bedroom. You both made your way over and saw what he was referring to.
Sitting in a makeshift playpen made from a couple of large boxes was a baby no more than two years old, crying their heart out. Jethro wasted no time in taking care of the situation, picking them up and patting their back, while shushing gently. You just stared as he swayed with the infant who began calming down and wiping their tear streaked face.
"McGee, call Ducky and Jimmy, let them know we have a body," he spoke while motioning you over. You walked over as he handed you the baby, who had begun crying again.
"Hold him for a second while I make a bottle."
You didn't have any skill in handling babies but tried your best to mimic Jethro's actions from before and were thoroughly surprised when it worked immediately. Jethro gave you a small smile, moving your hand so it supported his neck.
"You're a natural, Y/N."
You just chuckled nervously and watched him rummage in the diaper bag that was on the bed, pulling out a bottle and a little packet before heading back into the other room and filling it with water. You looked at the little baby in your arms, his onesie stained with drool and God knows what else and couldn't help but feel a weird pull in your heart. You felt a instinctual need to protect him and keep him close to you. Part of you didn't even want to give him back to Jethro once the bottle was ready which you felt he sensed.
"Here, hold him like this," he instructed, positioning the baby in your arms. He began eating vigorously once the nipple reached his mouth, as his little hands clutched onto yours. You enjoyed the endearing moment and didn't miss the look of love Jethro gave you before going over to help McGee canvas the crime scene.
- - - -
You sat in the back of the ambulance, still holding the now sleeping baby in your arms, wrapped in a thin blanket. Jethro had changed his diaper and dressed him in something less dirty before EMS arrived and gave him a once over. You volunteered to stay with the baby while you waited for Child Services to arrive as McGee and the rest of the team investigated the crime scene. Jethro was finishing up a phone call before he came to join you in the ambulance, sitting down beside you and pressing a kiss to the side of your head.
"You'd make a great mother, you know," he whispered, making you smile.
"You think so?"
"I do."
You thought about the question that had been bugging you the last half hour and finally decided to just ask it.
"Would you have a baby with me Jethro?"
You could see the hesitation in his eyes, memories of his past family most likely surfacing as he took a breath before speaking.
"I would be lying if I said I haven't thought about it. I couldn't see myself having one with no one else but you. But we can talk about that later."
You accepted his vague answer, actually getting more out of him than you thought you have and rested your head on his shoulder.
"Plus, I'd want you to be my wife before that and this is not how I planned on asking," he added.
You whipped your head up to look at him and he chuckled, giving you a quick kiss on the lips and getting up.
"Child Services should be here any minute. I'm going to finish up with the team, come join us when you're done."
You nodded, smile still etched on your face from his previous comment and watched him leave. Looking back down at the little boy in your arms, you whispered a small thanks. Even thought his circumstances were unfortunate, you couldn't help but be grateful to the progress in your relationship he caused.

Ill with Your Love ~ Jethro Gibbs
Author's Note: Since my other account @cheekyredwillow got deleted. I am adding some of my favorite fanfictions to this account and revamping this one with new ones. I hope to make an actual list of fandoms I am still a fan of! NO requests for the time being.
Warnings: sick reader (almost dies), PTSD from Paraguay, but mostly fluff. Soulmate AU where the longer one is away from soulmate, the sicker they get
~~~~
Since Jethro and Tim have been in Paraguay and captured, you and Delilah have been incredibly ill. Delilah of course from not being around her soulmate but you did not want to admit your boss Gibbs was your soulmate. So you tried to push it. You went to work. Headaches, stomach pain, vomiting, bloody coughs, and more occurred the longer they were gone.
Ellie knew what was going on. You have never been this sick since working but whenever Gibbs went on missions, you strangely got sick. Nick didn't really know till Ellie explained and when he saw you getting sick after Paraguay.
It got bad enough that you were hospitalized for your sickness. It was eating you from the inside out. Delilah was getting thinner but was able to stay at her apartment to wait for McGee.
Probably the torture at Paraguay made it seem like the two of them were not getting sick. McGee especially because he always thought of Delilah and it made him better. Gibbs was going through his own torment with his mind and body. The only thing strangely enough is that the thought of you made him feel somewhat better.
Now Gibbs was no idiot. He noticed since you joined the team and when you took days off, he would get sick. Oddly enough Ducky was the one who explained the phenomenon of soulmates. Specifically by not being around them causes the two of them to be sick. Especially during long periods of time, the soulmate's body would turn inside out because of it.
But when Gibbs and McGee were rescued from Paraguay, the first thought Gibbs had was you. Were you okay? Were you sick since he's been gone? Are you still living? Ducky mentioned that some soulmates could die after periods of alone time.
When Jethro got back and was checked over at the hospital, Ellie was there. She wanted to check on them and tell Gibbs you were in the same hospital but he beat her to the punch.
"Where is Y/n?" Gibbs demanded.
"Gibbs, she's down the hall." Ellie said softly.
"What do you mean?" Gibbs snapped.
"Since you had been gone, Y/n has gotten extremely ill and near dying multiple times. She needs you." Ellie said as she ushered him down the hall.
It did not take Gibbs long to get down the hall to your room. His heart felt like it stopped seeing your pale, thin body. Your eyes were shut and hollow. Your heart rate was faint. The only thing that made him happy is that seeing gift baskets from Nick, Ducky, Leon, Ellie, Delilah, and Abby. He moved to the side of your bed to get close.
Your hand was outstretched and Gibbs reached for it. Your hand was still soft like he remembered and slightly warm. He did not notice your eyes were slowly adjusting to the light or that your heart rate began to become normal.
"Y/n I have been away too long. The only reason that got me through was you. I think you're my soulmate. I hope that you are." Gibbs sighed.
Your hand twitched slightly causing Gibbs to immediately look up. He sees your e/c eyes barely open but looking at him. Your face showed a soft smile.
"Hey G-Gibbs." You croaked.
"Hey Y/n, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"Like I've been hit by a truck." You sighed.
"Let me get the nurse and then we can talk." Gibbs said as he squeezed your hand.
The nurse called the doctor in to look you over and check vitals. The doctor said you did need water and food but your vitals were turning normal. Gibbs was patiently waiting for the doctor to finish and watching you. He had to admit but seeing you awake and alive made him feel tons better.
As the doctor left and the nurse brought in some food, Gibbs sat beside your bed to help you eat. The nurse left with a smile on her face and did not say a word.
"Can I ask you something?" Gibbs asked as he handed you some crackers to munch on.
"You just did." You said as Gibbs rolled his eyes.
"Do you think we're soulmates?"
Gibbs noticed your shocked expression on your face and you knew your face was hot to touch. You really did not want Gibbs to figure it out like this.
"I d-do." You stuttered out before Gibbs handed you a spoon of soup.
"That's good. I would have thought I was going crazy from Paraguay if not. I was being serious that the thought of you helped me through it." Gibbs said softly. "But apparently me being gone so long made you so sick you could have died."
"But we found you. Or at least the team did. You're safe and I'm feeling better. I'm not coughing up blood or vomiting." You explained. "I'm just glad we finally admitted it."
"So am I. Do you mind if I give you a kiss? I've been wanting to for the past few months." Gibbs asked as you immediately nodded your head.
Even though you were still recovering, the kiss was sweet and calm. Sure you kissing back was rather weak but Gibbs guided the kiss. After you two broke for air, you didnt notice the nurse peak in just to check your heart rate but she did tell the others what happened.
Your stay in the hospital lasted for a week but Gibbs stayed by your side unless he had to meet a psychiatrist or go back to the office. Even when you returned from the hospital, you two decided to move into Gibbs's place so you two could stay by each other's side.
Warehouse Blues | Jethro Gibbs | NCIS
No.10 (alt.12): abandoned
Working for NCIS came with risks, every federal agent, Naval or not, knew that. They were well aware of what kind of life they were giving up to help protect their country. The knowledge that something bad could happen always lingered in the back of every agent's mind. The realisation, however, sometimes never really registered.
The thoughts would ring out Well I'm careful, this would never happen to me. But it could, and it does. (Y/N), if she wasn't in so much pain, would laugh at her naivety. It was only twenty-five minutes ago that she was thinking about her plans for the evening, and whether or not she could convince Jethro to join her for a drink after work.
Despite rule twelve, Gibbs and (Y/N) had been dating for a while. It had gone swimmingly until it hadn't. The last few weeks had been tense, they ignored each other in the mornings and only just spoke when necessary during working hours. (Y/N) couldn't even remember what had caused such tension between them, she wished she had apologised now.
She had been assigned to survey a warehouse, it had long since been abandoned but Gibbs, with the evidence found by Abby, thought that the suspect they were hunting may be hiding out here. It had taken three days, and she was almost about to call it quits, before the suspect had shown up. However, instead of being alone like it had been predicted, the suspect had turned up with a hostage in tow.
(Y/N) quickly shot a text to the rest of the MCRT before rushing the building, following the suspect through the entrance that he used. The warehouse was even more desolate inside than it had orginially presented.
The pipes on the wall were rusted and leaking mysterious fluid on to the ground. The main lights no longer worked She had tried to be as stealthy as possible but the chirp of her phone's low battery alarm had revealed her position.
The suspect shot bullets rapidly and maniacally in her direction, hitting anything and everything that he could. One had lodged in her vest, knocking her to the ground. In the mania, the hostage managed to slip away, leaving only (Y/N) and her attacker left.
Still stunned for the shock of the bullet being lodged in her vest, (Y/N) was powerless as the suspect stalked over to her. By the time she felt like she could move again, he had already taken his stance over top of her, gun pointed directly at her head.
"You shouldn't have followed me, Agent." He said, moving his hand quickly, pulling the trigger simultaneously. The metal missed the vest and lodged itself into her left shoulder and her thigh.
The pain was burning hot. The shock temporarily blinded her; by the time she had the strength to open her eyes, the suspect had already left, leaving her by herself.
She tentatively lifted her right hand up to her wounded arm. The blood flowed quickly and freely. (Y/N) tried to lift herself up but failed as pain in her leg reminded her of her other wound. She crumpled into herself as she fell.
(Y/N) took a deep breath to calm herself, trying to invoke her NCIS training. Focus on the next step: survive. She knew that she wasnt getting out of her alone, she needed help. She needed Gibbs.
Febly, she took her phone out of her pocket and pressed the power button. She waited for the screen to light up. It didn't. She tried again, and again, and again. Nothing.
With what little energy she had left, she launched her phone at the wall. The little device a reminder of what help she could no longer get. With the phone gone, all she could do now was wait; wait and hope that her team would find her. Hope that Jethro wouldn't abandon her completely.
“Hmm, is that a threat or a promise?” With Gibbs 🤭
"Want something to drink?"
Gibbs' voice was soft and soothing as he walked across his basement to you, dumping out the glass jar of nuts and bolts and grabbing the whiskey from his shelf.
You smiled in amusement and nodded, sitting on the sawhorse against the bench and watching him. "Long day?"
"Not too bad, no. Just missed you."
He said things like that so casually and sweet, it made your heart jump as you watched him. His blue eyes were kind as he handed you the cup, smiling and leaning against the bench beside you, towering over you even more.
"I missed you too. But I'm still mad at you," you said with an innocent smile, sipping the alcohol and gazing up into his eyes as you tried to fight a smile.
"I told you, I didn't mean to get shot. What, you think I went into the diner looking for a day off?" He raised his brows as he looked down at you, fighting his own smile. You weren't actually upset about the incident, though you had been worried. You actually understood him going back to work, it was a distraction. Normalcy.
You just liked teasing him.
"No, of course you didn't. But you scared the hell out of me, and then went right back to work," you scolded teasingly, gently smacking his side. His answering grin made your heart stop and he set down his own mug of whiskey, leaning over you and grabbing the bench behind you.
"You gonna do something about it?" He asked, tone low and soft as his blue eyes studied you. "Maybe," you tried to answer, voice faltering as you eyed his lips.
"Hmm.. That a threat? Or a promise?" His head tilted as he spoke to you, amusement and affection in his eyes. You grinned and reached out, fingers hooking in his belt loop as you tugged him closer.
"A promise."
Flowers for Mrs. Gibbs
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Gibbs x reader
Warnings: pure fluff
Dear @dreamy-state-of-mind, thank you for the wonderful prompt for this story. Enjoy!
Everything seemed normal that day. There was no case to solve, no special incidents and nothing. It was pure routine.
And it was normal for messengers to come and go. But it was unusual, however, for them to bring flowers.
The young man who brought them was apparently practical, because he stood in the middle of the bullpen and called out loudly:
“Flowers for Mrs. Gibbs!!”
His voice faded away and silence spread. In fact, it was dead silent, because everyone had abruptly stopped what they were doing and interrupted their conversations. You would have heard it if a pin had dropped.
Tony confidently walked up to the boy and said: “There must be some confusion. There is only one Mr. Gibbs here.”
But the messenger remained persistent:
“No, no, no. I’ve been instructed to give these flowers to Mrs. Y/N Gibbs.”
At that moment, you and Gibbs came out of the principal's office and wondered why everyone was so quiet.
Obviously it had something to do with Tony and a flower delivery man who were standing in the middle of the desks.
When Tony saw you coming towards him, he said with relief: “Hey boss, Y/N. Nice to see you here.”
Gibbs just looked at him sternly: “DiNozzo. Don't you have anything to do?”
“Uhm, yes, boss,” he replied before looking at you: “But the boy is bringing flowers for you. He just wrote down the wrong name.”
Since you could imagine what the “problem” was, especially after the conversation with the principal, you just smiled at Tony and left it to Jethro to sort it out.
Unlike you, Gibbs didn't bat an eyelid, but just raised both eyebrows and asked interestedly: “So? Which one?” The question was actually superfluous because he knew the answer, but he just had too much fun teasing Tony a little.
"The flowers are for Mrs. Y/N Gibbs, Sir," the boy replied with his head held high and a firm voice, as if he were giving a prize.
"I already told him that it must be a misunderstanding, boss. But he absolutely doesn't want to believe it," Tony hurried to explain.
"Who are the flowers from?" Jethro wanted to know.
"From Mr. Tobias Fornell," the flower man answered.
Against all expectations, Gibbs laughed out loud and you ran your hand over your face. The colleagues had expected a lot, but not that the boss seemed to be very amused by the mix-up.
When he had calmed down enough, he grinned, shook his head and muttered:
"Good old Fornell..."
The messenger was slowly becoming restless, because this had been going on for far too long.
"Sir, I have to move on. Am I in the right place or not?" he wanted to know.
Gibbs smiled at him, pressed a tip into his hand and replied:
"Yes, you're in the right place. Give me the flowers."
"Thank you, Sir. Have a nice day!" the boy called, gave him the bouquet and ran to the elevator.
Tony still couldn't believe how such a gross mix-up could have happened: "We've worked with the FBI so many times and they still can't get it right. They really have no idea if they mix up names so massively."
Gibbs was in his element. He grinned at him, handed you the bouquet, leaned over to you and gave you a short but loving kiss on the lips.
As the boss intended, DiNozzo stood there and stared at him with his mouth wide open.
But Jethro couldn't help himself and went one step further. He looked at his team member and said with a broad grin: "That's because it wasn't a mix-up."
At the same time, you raised your hand and showed him your new ring.
Tony's jaw dropped.
Then Gibbs went grinning to his desk and you went to the elevator towards the forensic lab that you share with Abby and you were sure that she already knew the news by the time you got to her place.
Age Gap Relationship with Gibbs Headcanons
Let me start here - I know for a fact that he would get over it eventually.
However, I do think there will be some moments where he shows his vulnerability and his insecurity throughout the early stages of the relationship - especially if you are not on his team or remotely aware of what NCIS does on a day to day basis.
He's lost a lot of people in his life, he's got experience, and he doesn't usually let a lot of people in.
So when he started taking interest in somebody like you, young, full of energy, and is not related to any of his work, he would get scared.
Trust me, he'd be so interested in what you have to offer. Your hobbies, your interest, your job and what it entails. Anything you have to say, he will listen and take interest in.
However, I feel like he would have a thought in the back of his head, "what if y/n finds somebody better?" (little does he know, he's the best person for you.)
He'd never really vocalize it until one day, you find him a bit more melancholy than usual.
He had just had a tiring day at work, and McGee might have mentioned that a lot of relationships with big age gaps are harder to navigate. Of course, unaware of his boss's relationship status.
On the drive back to his place, he'd just been replaying what McGee said in the bullpen, over and over again.
So when you greet him at the door with his hoodie over you, smiling, all he can do is return a weak smile back.
You ask him what's wrong, and all he would say is it's really nothing, but eventually you'd actually sit him down and start questioning - he'd start slowly.
"I don't know, y/n. You have so much more potential, I know that," he'd start. Going on and on about how what if, just what if you find someone in your age range, so much more interesting (and with less probability to get into serious accidents at work) All you do is stare back.
Jesus, you need him to just stop talking, so you just crash your lips into his. The kiss slowly turns passionate, and when you separate reluctantly for air, you say to him, "Is this enough?"
He'd just laugh and nod, and you guys go to bed cuddling. He'd start opening up a little bit more about his feelings.
"You know, you are pretty good at questioning. You interested in joining my team?" Gibbs would jokingly ask.
Slowly falling asleep, you would reply, "I don't think I can work while I have a man I love around."
The last part would drive Gibbs absolutely nuts.
Let's just say he wouldn't get any sleep that night.
GOOD MOOD
Leroy Jethro Gibbs x F!Wife!Reader // Word Count: 1.3k Summary: Gibbs comes home in a good mood and you decide the best way to break some not so 'good mood' news to him. Warnings: All my fics are 18+ regardless of content. liiiiight angst. liiiight fluff. Smoking Weed/Being High. Mentions of losing a job, violence, punching. No use of Y/N. Reader is a private investigator, married to Gibbs, and has a teenage child in this fic. A/N: Been rewatching NCIS from the beginning and I just simply forgot how much I love this show. Grew up watching some episodes when they'd be on tv running reruns but never watched from season to season before and I just jkshjkhf love it so much. So now I'm adding another fandom and character to the roster!
“You know I’m a federal agent, right?” Gibbs’s voice came from behind you along with the sliding of your back porch door.
“Yea, but I’m not.” You smirked, holding the joint in your hand as you blew the smoke out that he was clearly smelling as he joined you in the backyard.
“What’s with the new recreational activity?” He still had his work clothes on as he turned the patio chair around so it was next to yours.
“Rough day at work.” You exhaled.
“Being a private dick will do that.” He had a hint of humor in his voice as he said it. Teasing your occupation the way he would if it was anyone else.
“Investigator.” Correcting him with a smirk on your face, you continued talking. “And what can I say, there were no more special agent openings at NCIS.”
“You’d fail the drug test anyways.” He was looking over at you, a smile wide on his face.
“You’re in a good mood.” Your eyebrows raised, your face matching his humor.
“Better than usual.” He shrugged and kicked his feet up on the bricks that surrounded the fire pit in front of you.
“Hm.” Turning your head back forward, you looked at the fire that was starting to die down.
Gibbs’s face turned into a frown as he questioned you. “What’s that?”
“What’s what?” You teased him, taking advantage of his good mood.
“What’s with the hm?” He mimicked the noise you made.
Letting out a laugh you dropped your head on your shoulder, “I’m debating if I want to ruin your good mood.”
“Ah.” It was his turn now to look away and towards the fire pit. “How bad?”
“Eh.” You shrugged.
“That’s like a 5, that’s not bad.” He was joking but his face was serious which is what made you laugh out loud slightly before deciding to spit out the news.
“I lost my job.”
Gibbs didn’t show any emotion on his face, just a slight nod as he acknowledged you. “Who’d you punch?”
It never should have surprised you when Gibbs knew things without being told, but it always did.
“Your knuckles.” He was getting up to feed the fire as he said it.
Your eyes looked down and saw the red bruising finding it's home around your knuckles and closed your eyes as you rested your head against the back of the chair, joint still in your left hand.
“My private dick of a boss.”
Gibbs smirked slightly at that as he dropped a few more pieces of wood into the fire. “Enough was enough, huh?”
“That and he called me a bitch.” That was a statement which earned you a look from him, he froze in his steps and stared up at you through his brows. “Don’t worry, I clearly took care of it.” You flashed your hand to him.
He went back to feeding the fire as the silence fell over you two for a few minutes. Coming back to the patio chair, he sat down and placed his hands behind his head.
“All things considered, that’s not too bad. Never understood why you worked for that asshole.”
“I told you, NCIS wasn’t hiring.” While it was a joke, Gibbs took you seriously.
He pointed to the joint. “I could get you in. Just have to wait a couple weeks.”
“Nah, I’m goin’ back to my roots. Investigative journalism.” Your eyebrows raised.
It was how you met Gibbs all those years ago, you were working on a big story, one that brought you to the NCIS headquarters during Gibbs’s first year on the job as special agent. The rest was history.
“And now I have an in at the Naval Criminal Investigators offices if I find myself with a big Navy scoop.”
“Pretty sure you had an in when you first stepped onto those offices.” He was smiling now, staring at you.
“You’re still in a good mood.” You smiled back at him, both of you looking at each other as the orange tone of the fire reflected off his skin.
“Told you, wasn’t that bad.”
“Hold onto that feeling.” You scrunched your face up while his own face dropped. “Aren’t you going to ask me where I got the weed?”
Gibbs's mind started running, trying to think of an answer that made sense. Putting that special agent brain to work as if it wasn’t overworked enough all day on duty. He was coming up blank, which automatically put him a few points lower on the good mood meter, stumping Gibbs wasn’t enjoyable, for anyone.
“Where’d you get the weed?” He asked, knowing you wouldn’t tell him unless he did ask. You knew better than to interrupt Gibbs when he was working a case, interrogating someone, or even just as simple as working through a thought.
“Your daughter.” After you said it, you took another hit from the joint, knowing you were gonna need it for his response.
“What?!” He kicked his feet off the fire pit bricks, his arms were next to his body which was sitting up now, bent over his legs as he leaned forward all while turning to look back at you, shock–or anger, all over his face.
“Got a call from the school today, she got caught smoking in the bathroom. The school apparently doesn’t discard of the herb on their own so they gave it back to me.” You let out a giggle at that, clearly the weed starting to work its wonders on you but also laughing at the strange policy.
“Where is she?” Gibbs was still concerned.
“In her room, where she’ll be for the next two weeks. I told her how her father is a federal agent and she can’t have this shit in the house.”
Gibbs’s face twisted up in a smile at that comment. “So you, her mother, clearly are out here setting the example for her.”
“I had to get rid of it somehow.” You lifted your hands in innocence.
Gibbs let out a laugh. “You too high to help me with the boat?”
“Never.” You were getting up, tossing the joint into the fire. “You gonna talk to her?” Now you were standing in front of your husband, his eyes were moving away from yours at the thought of needing to scold his teenage daughter.
“Depends. What else you tell her?”
“That I was still deciding if I was going to tell you or not.”
It was the most you saw Gibbs smile in one night in a while. He was in a good mood.
“That’s good, that’ll keep her guessing.”
“Ain’t my first rodeo.” Your shoulders raised as you bragged, humbly.
It was then that he placed his lips on your forehead, giving you a quick kiss as his hand moved to your hand that was littered with the memory of your awful day. His thumbs lightly caressing the bruises on your knuckles.
“You knock him out cold?”
“I told you, it ain’t my first rodeo.” That made Gibbs good mood turn to a great one, he never liked the guy you worked for, he didn’t like private investigators at all, but for you he tolerated them. But this not only meant he was done tolerating them but that he’d get to live with the mental image of you knocking the jerk out cold.
“C’mon, I’m almost done with the hull, have a feeling this story is gonna get me through the finish line on that.”
“Eh.” You scrunched your face up again. “I am high, so probably through the rest of the hull and the start of the bow. I get kind of chatty.”
With a laugh, Gibbs tossed his arm over your shoulder and planted another kiss to your temple. Yea, he was still in a good mood.
The Ice Queen: Leroy Jethro Gibbs x Reader (NCIS: Origins)
Tagging: @kmc1989
The first time Gibbs lays eyes on you, you’re standing there at the edge of the crime scene on the beach, staring into the sea. Despite the fact he’d lost Shannon and Kelly only months before he can still appreciate your beauty, even through the scope of the sniper rifle he’s using to emulate the shooter’s position.
“Whose she?” He asks Randy, who uses his hand to shield his eyes against the glare of the sun coming in through the open window.
“Medical Examiner.” Randy responds, his gaze falling back to the information he’s scribbling down on the notepad.
“Her attention’s in the wrong direction.” Gibbs remarks, his finger tensing on the trigger out of habit.
Your hair blows in the wind, before you turn your attention back towards the tent that’s been set up to conceal the bodies out of view of the reporters. He tracks you with the rifle until you disappear inside before exhaling and releasing the trigger.
When he gets back down onto the sand, he’s almost forgotten about you. He’s too busy playing the angles, calculating the order of the victims when he steps into the tent and there you are arguing with task force agent Jacob Landsford. He wants you to release the bodies over to them instead of taking it back to NIS and you’re refusing until you hear from the director.
He hates the way that Landsford towers over you, how he uses his height to loom, to bully. His voice is loud and it echoes through the tent like an airhorn as he jabs his finger into your face.
“Sweetheart, you better sign that damn paperwork or so help me god-”
“Oh honey…” You drawl, spitting the word like it’s acid. Your eyes burn with a ferocity that is age old, one that every single woman who has been spoken down to by a man feels. “God ain’t gonna help you, not with this.”
He watches as the others man’s fist clenches, the skin turning white as it stretches across the knuckles.
“You can’t speak to me that way…”
“When you start playing nice, I’ll start playing nice.” You tell Landsford, checking the watch on your wrist. “Now if you excuse me, I have to take these guys-” You gesture at the bagged bodies. “-back to my morgue, where I can do my autopsies.”
The fist grows tighter and for a second Gibbs thinks Landsford is actually going to strike you. He wants to, he can feel it in the fibre of his being. His own body tenses, his muscles coiling but you tilt your head to one side, your gaze lowering to his fist.
“You wanna hit me, hit me.” You say jutting your chin up to meet his gaze. “I can guarantee I’ll punch back harder.”
He isn’t sure whether you mean physically or professionally but either way it makes Landsford pause. There’s silence for a moment, his gaze penetrating into yours and you don’t flinch, not for a single second.
“Everything they say about you is true.” Landsford snarls, jabbing his finger at you. “You’re a frigid fucking bitch.”
“I prefer the term ice queen.” You remark dryly. “Isn’t that what they call me up there in that office of yours while you’re measuring dicks?”
Landsford doesn’t speak, instead he turns his back on you, his eyes meeting Gibbs’s on the way out.
“Watch out for her.” He says, jerking his thumb at you. “She’ll tear your fucking cock off.”
“I’d be have to go looking for it first.” You snort, placing your hand on your hip. “Now fuck off so I can get some work done.”
Landsford does but not before giving you the middle finger.
“He always like that with you?” Gibbs asks, watching the other man disappear through the flap.
“Comes with the territory.” You say, shrugging your shoulders. “He’s not the first he won’t be the last.”
He wants to ask if you find it exhausting but he’s new here, barely finding his feet. He doesn’t feel competent enough to discuss the gender politics of NIS with you just yet.
“Sorry. I should have introduced myself.” He says holding out his hand to shake yours. “I’m Gibbs, Agent Gibbs.”
“Maeve.” You say, taking his hand. Your grasp is firm, stronger than most of the men whose hands he’s shaken recently. “But like you heard, they call me the Ice Queen.”
Alibi
The morning had gone seemingly well, having the day off, you were able to take care of a lot of errands you had been putting off such as pulling all of the weeds from your backyard that managed to weasel their way back in even after drenching them in weed killer.
You were so engrossed with picking them and listening to one of your favorite podcasts, you almost missed hearing the doorbell ringing. Taking the gloves off, you paused your podcast and went inside to answer the door, slightly surprised to see two very professional people standing outside.
"Good evening ma'am. I'm Special Agent DiNozzo with NCIS and this is Agent McGee, mind if we ask you a few questions regarding Karen Moss?"
You shifted your weight nervously, stomach turning at the sound of your friends name.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?"
They shared a solemn look between the two of each other, telling you everything you needed to know.
"Her body was found this morning a few streets away and based on her call history, you were the last person to speak with her before her death. May we ask where you were last night around 11pm?"
You covered your mouth in shock, not believing that they just told you that your close friend died, let alone was possibly murdered and know were questioning you as if you might be a suspect. You thought back about the time they were referring to and memories of Jethro and you tangled together in your bed sheets popped into your mind. You thought about telling them, not sure if they even worked with Jethro, but decided on giving them the simplified version instead.
"I was here. With my boyfriend.."
"Is he here now to verify your whereabouts?" DiNozzo asked, taking a small peek over you as if he'd catch a glimpse of someone fleeing. Were all NCIS so suspicious?
"No, but I can give you his number. His name is Leroy Gibbs. His number is-
"Wait, sorry. Leroy Gibbs?" Agent DiNozzo interrupted, facial expression disbelieving. "Grey hair, high and tight haircut, broody mysterious Leroy Gibbs?"
You chuckled a little at his choice of words to describe your boyfriend, seeing how well he made an impression on people.
"Well not usually broody around me but yes, I guess you could say that. Why? Do the two of you know him?"
Once again, the two agents shared a look, this time one of confusion and awe.
"Uh, could you just hang on one second," DiNozzo asked. "I'll be right back."
You stood there with Agent McGee who looked like he wanted say something, but didn't as Agent DiNozzo walked a few paces, pulling out his phone and dialing a number.
"So was Kathy murdered? You said her body was found. When I talked with her last night, she said she was on her way to meet up with someone for a blind date," you asked McGee who was focused on the phone call Agent DiNozzo was having.
"Well Abby was able to go through the Lieutenant's phone and her number was the last dialed. We were just following- Uh yes- Well I wasn't sure- Of course boss, I'll tell McGee."
Agent DiNozzo came back over before murmuring to Agent McGee.
"Gibbs wants us to bring her in for protection. I told him you'd explain to him why we questioned his girlfriend without letting him know."
"What do mean, me? You're the one that had Abby look up the phone records."
"Just take one for the team McProbie. He's still mad at me for the whole coffee incident. Plus, you owe me."
You watched the two supposed Federal Agents argue like siblings, neither one of them wanting to be in the line of Jethro's mood and honestly it was kind of funny. Jethro never really talked much about his team but you had only been seeing him for a few months and 9 times out of 10, the two of you weren't doing much talking when you saw each other.
You decided to break up the little tiff the two of them were having in order to save some time.
"Alright, well while the two of you sort all that out, I'm going to change and lock up the house before we leave."
"Sounds good," Agent DiNozzo responded before going back to bickering with his partner.
- - - -
You took another sip from the little paper cup of water Agent David had given you as you waited in the conference room. She wanted to know about you and Jethro but you didn't divulge much information, knowing Jethro liked his personal life kept close and unknown for the most part. It wasn't long before the door opened and your boyfriend walked in along with Agent DiNozzo and David. You decided against giving Jethro a hug or kiss in front of his subordinates, although the both of them looked like they'd love nothing more than to see that happen.
You all sat down at the conference table except Agent DiNozzo who was wound up tighter than a jack in the box.
"Did Kathy give you a description of this blind date she was seeing?" Jethro started the questioning with. You spoke about everything you knew from the phone call you had with Kathy, tearing up towards the end, still not believing your friend was dead.
Jethro reached out to hold your hand and give you a tissue to wipe your eyes with, making his agents stare in interest at the caring gesture.
"It's like I'm in an alternate Gibbs reality," DiNozzo whispered to Agent David.
Jethro shot him a look before speaking. "Why aren't the two of you putting out a BOLO on this guy?"
"On it boss," Agent DiNozzo spoke quickly, leaving the room with Agent David following close behind, shutting the door after them.
"I think you should stay with me just in case until we catch the killer," he offered, standing up.
"Ok," you squeaked, not wanting to do much talking anymore.
"Come ere," he ordered softly, pulling you to your feet and into his arms for a hug. You accepted it eagerly, breathing in his scent, calming you down a bit.
Once you were better, the two of you walked out of the room and into the squad room, not expecting to be stared at by almost everyone there.
"What kind of reputation do you have with the opposite sex to make everyone look at me like the new zoo exhibit?" you asked Jethro, making him chuckle.
"They're just being nosy. Ignore them."
Jethro stopped Agent DiNozzo from asking anymore questions about the two of you as well as pulling you away from a very animated Forensic Scientist that seemed to have had entirely too much caffeine.
Jethro accompanied you back to your house where you packed a bag before driving you to his house, making a drawer available for you in his bedroom.
"I get my own drawer now. Things are really becoming serious, aren't they?" you teased him.
"Hey, I'm not the one who told my agents that I was your boyfriend," he retorted.
"Should I not have?" you asked genuinely worried that you had overstepped a boundary. He pulled you into his arms, staring into your eyes and tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
"I don't mind the title. Just know that they're gonna have a million questions for you now," he stated, referring to his very curious agents. You smiled, giving him a peck on the lips and loving the new stage you both were now in.
"That's alright. I'll be sure to tell them how you love it when I give you back scratches while we cuddle together and watch movies."
Your joking was cut short as his fingers pressed themselves into your ribs, effectively tickling you till the both of you were on the bed, him hovering above you.
"You know, had it not been for you, I wouldn't have had an alibi for last night," you told him, running your fingers through his hair.
"Must of slipped my mind but," he murmured into your skin, kissing your shoulder. "I don't exactly remember how last night went. Maybe you can help jog my terrible memory."
Laughing at his playfulness, you played into it, pulling him in for a passionate kiss, ready to remind him exactly what happened that night.
Early Grave | Jethro Gibbs | NCIS
tw: death, canon-typical violence
Good things come to those who wait.
That’s what we were all taught as children; to wait is for the better. However, as he stood looking down at the fresh grave, Jethro couldn’t help but feel like waiting was the worst thing he ever did. He was no stranger to grief, his entire life had been defined by it, yet it was still surprising how much this loss hurt.
He knew that death would come for everyone, it was the only guarantee in life after all, but he never thought he would hurt like he did when he first lost Shannon and Kelly. This pain, this loss was different; Jethro knew he could’ve stopped this one, he could’ve changed their fate.
He hesitated instead.
Jethro had planned to closely follow them into the suspects house but something had caught his eye, he didn’t even know what had distracted him, it caused a split second of mental deviation, nevertheless in that small fragment of time, (y/n) stepped forward into the home, and rounded a corner unprotected. They didn’t notice the man in the shadows pointing a gun at their six where Jethro should’ve stood; their death was so quick that they wouldn’t have heard the gun fire. Jethro did.
It was all he could hear for days on end. The ringing in his ear was most of what he could remember from firing his own shot into (y/n)’s killer, to holding them as they died in the ambulance, to watching their coffin being lowered into the ground.
It was no surprise to the rest of the MCRT when he introduced a new rule: Don’t hesitate. But not even a new rule could raise the dead.
Get in the Truck (Jethro Gibbs x reader) [SMUT]
The bullpen was quiet ever since you and Jethro had your big argument while you were out investigating a case and the pair of you wouldn’t talk to each other. Tony and McGee exchanged quiet looks of uncertainty as Gibbs walked in.
You sat now at your desk, fuming. You looked up at him as he passed you.
“You have a problem, (l/n)?” He asked. You hadn’t responded. “Do you have a problem, (y/n)?” You continued to glare at him. “I asked you a question Marine, answer me.”
“No.” You said coldly. His icy blue eyes staring right into yours. Two fiery glares being exchanged in silence.
“(Y/n) what exactly happened out there?” McGee asked.
“Yeah… I’m with McNosy on this one” Tony agreed.
“I said something he didn’t like. I did something he didn’t like.” you respond not looking up from your paperwork. They boys had receded back to their work, leaving you be… you obviously weren’t in the mood. Jethro clenched his jaw.
What felt like hours later, you grew bored of your filing work and grabbed the remaining 20 something files, you dropped them onto his desk. You locked eyes with him as they landed with a deep thud. You decided you would go toe to toe with you boss and boyfriend at the same time.
“Here Jethro. That’s for you” you say and grab your coat. “I’m taking my lunch break” you walked out. It was his turn to fume now. Tony and McGee looked at each other as they argument was waiting to break out. He glared daggers into your back as you stalked to the elevator.
“Boss…” DiNozzo began.
“Shut it.” Gibbs stood up and followed you. “You know (y/n) pretty stupid of you to tell your boss what you were gonna do” he said following you.
“Oh god Gibbs grow up” you reply walking towards your car. “Boss, boyfriend, what are you? You can’t play both roles at once you know”
You turned abruptly to face him.
“Yes I can” he replied. “You crossed the line”
“Oh, I crossed the line, baby? I crossed the line!?” You were now literally inches away from him. You could feel his body heat. “I wasn’t the one that started bringing out personal affairs into it. I wasn’t the one that decided it’d be a good idea to just, I don’t know, casually tell someone that “you’re always so belligerent (y/n) you don’t listen, the only time you’ve ever listened to me is in bed, and you barely do that””
Jethro couldn’t deny it, he was incredibly turned on by you. Your anger made your eyes sparkle, the way your jaw flexed as you glared at him.
“Im sorry I crossed the line (y/n) but you are not allowed to tell me how to do my job when I’m on the field because at work, I’m the boss.” He spoke. “You don’t listen. You don’t immediately do as I tell you, quite frankly, you have gotten belligerent.”
“Then fuck it out of me” you say through gritted teeth. “Fuck the belligerency right out of me”
“Get in the truck.” His eyes darkened. “Now. And (l/n) do not make me ask you again” you walked to the truck, he pushed you against the door and caught you in a heated kiss. Unlocking the door behind you. You undid your coat, and he undid his throwing it into the truck bed as you opened the door.
You got inside and scooted back as he crawled between your legs, closing the door behind you. His mouth reconnected to yours roughly. His hands followed the natural curve of your clothing as you moaned into his mouth. His calloused hands met the waistband of your pants as yours found his belt. You teased his growth as he assaulted your neck. He bucked his hips as he groaned.
“Fuck” you heard the desire in his voice.He made easy work of undoing your pants with an easy few flicks of his wrist. Unzipping his pants, he easily slipped himself out as you let your pants down.
He slid into you, a deep guttural groan leaving him. You moaned into his mouth as he roughly fucked you. Not wasting anytime in relieving himself and chasing to relieve you. The tangled moans that es the two of you would’ve been a symphony to any outside listeners.
Your moans and whimpers raised higher in pitch as he thrusted sloppier and sloppier as his orgasm neared. Hard thrusts earned him a rough bite on his neck.
“Fuck (y/n)” he groaned into your neck as his sporadic thrusts were being to speed up. Your walls clenched around him, causing a grunt to roll off his tongue. You were a whole other story.
You were actively losing your mind. Your composure had slipped, moans and curses slurred together as he fucked. Your own hand has drawn down to your clit to rub the circles you needed to make your body stiffen. Your mouth laid open in pleasure as you orgasmed. Cursing his name as he came simultaneously with you.
“God, (y/n)” he pulled out of you, grabbed a wipe from the pack he kept in the glove compartment. He cleaned you as best as he could before caring for himself. You laid on the truck seat with a dazed smile on your face.
“What gorgeous?” He smirked. As he opened the door and stood up. Looking around as he fixed his pants and boxers, pulling them up.
“Best sex I think I’ve ever had” you reply. You stood close to Gibbs and rearranged yourself . Your two bodies warm. You tuck in his shirt and zip and button his pants. He watched as you did so. You kissed him as you redid his belt.
“I think can top it” he shrugged.
“Hm. Top me tonight after dinner”
“Are you telling me what to do (l/n)? While we’re at work?” He questioned.
“No sir” you respond, teasing him. You giggled as you hugged him. He kissed the top of your head. He let go and the two of you began walking back to the office. Giggling and walking around like a goofball. Dickdrunk and high off serotonin.
“Report to the house by 1900 hours” Gibbs ordered. You smirked as you stood in place.
“Yes sir” you saluted him.
“What marine?”
“Yes sir”
“What time are you to report to the house, marine?”
“1900 hours”
“At ease soldier” the two of you laughed as you locked hands. He kissed your temple. “You’re my good girl” he whispered in your ear as you got in the elevator. You smile.
Jethro Gibbs x period!reader
title: i only want him ♫ henry come on, lana del rey
warnings: swearing, age gap
a/n: yes he's hot shut up. i got my period so I wrote this, cause I'm dying. for the girls. sorry for typos, i love y'all.
-
When I came into work I wasn't expecting to get my period so early in the morning but that's a stupid thing to think. I was late for a couple days what did I expect?
I didn't want Tony picking on me, I knew McGee wouldn't but who knows, he was always curious. It wasn't my first time having my period at work but it was my first having a very painful one.
I brought painkillers and put them in my desk, setting my bag down, I wanted to bring a hot water bottle or a heating pad but that would make it too obvious. I was too embarrassed, was it something to be embarrassed about? No but I work with three men... One I find very attractive.
Tony glanced at my figure once, glaring slightly I turned in my chair and flared back. He glanced at McGee and leaned back in his chair, "yeah we have a problem, Probie."
McGee looked up from his computer, and looked to Tony. "What?"
He gestures towards me, not caring if I noticed it. "Would you leave me alone, Tony." I snapped a little.
His jaw flew open and gave McGee a look, like he was hurt but we all knew he wasn't. "Did you hear that McGee, she's got a little attitude today!"
McGee rolled his eyes, "That's cause you keep poking at her."
"No, no. Did you see her get off the elevator, she was grumpy when she came in."
"Would you leave her alone." McGee said to him. "She's probably running on low sleep."
Tony gave me an up and down, "looks like it."
I gave him a look, "oh please, even if I looked terrible you know better than to comment on it."
Tony chuckles and leaned back in his chair, "oh yeah? What you think I'm scared of you or something?"
I gave him another look, he tried to study it but it didn't go well. "Damn." He muttered, he was right he is scared of me but didn't want to admit it.
McGee smirked, "what, say it Tony."
He was interrupted, I abruptly jerked slightly at the cramps turning in my stomach and back, they both gave me a look. "You okay?" McGee asked genuinely.
"What? I'm fine, McGee." I say, it wasn't very convincing.
"You sure-." McGee got interrupted by Gibbs appearing out of nowhere like he usually does and it made him immediately look to his computer.
Gibbs sat at his desk on my left and glanced at me, doing a once over. He didn't say anything... But after an hour it started to show I was having very bad mood swings.
Tony would do something id act out a little more than usual, it was annoying really. There was a time I was at my desk looking at the phone records of our suspect I started to tear up at my desk.
Tony gave me a look, teasing slightly. I noticed it and got a little snapy. "What Tony?! Just say it."
Tony gave a look of surprise, "whats got you all pushy today." Tony had an idea what was wrong.
I roll my eyes and stood from my seat. I walked down to the bathrooms and tried to calm down, when I spent 5 minutes in there I left and right when I was about to turn the corner Gibbs was there, it made me jump slightly.
He gave me a look, "is something bothering you y/n?" He was a little angry.
I struggled he seemed stern like he always was and maybe a little mean today probably from the way I've been acting. "I'm fine."
He titled his head slightly, "mind telling me what's got you so bitchy today?"
I breathed deeply, I shouldn't tell him... Maybe I should but that would sound pathetic to him. "I- it's nothing."
He stepped closer facing down at me. "I won't ask again."
I struggled for a second, "I just.. it's cramps." I say quietly surprised he heard.
He chuckled and gave me a small smirk, it was clear I was embarrassed and a little scared. "Why didn't you say that in the first place?"
"I thought- maybe you-."
He cut me off shaking his head, the smirk evident on his face. "I've had three wives, y/n."
I'm blushed, I wasn't able to look him in the eye for a second. "I can tone the attitude down." I tried to make an excuse.
He laughed, full heartedly. "Why didn't you bring something for the pain?"
"I brought painkillers-." He cut me off.
"I meant heat." He said bluntly.
I struggled to find the words. "I thought if I did it would be obvious."
He bent down a little to my height and he spoke. "Go get a damn water bottle, and stop bitching." He said softly, but he was stern.
All I could do was look up at him, he smirks a little as he walked away. My heart was in my throat, what am I going to do. If it was obvious to him maybe it was obvious to Tony and McGee. But that wasn't my main problem.
The way he looked at made my heart do backflips but luckily I was able to hide it. I knew he would probably kill me if I didn't listen to him so I went down to Duckie in luck id see if he had a hot water bottle or something I could use as a heat source.
I made it to autopsy where I found him where he always was, working on the victim we found yesterday. "Duckie?"
He glanced at me. His gloved hands were bloody but I wasn't squeamish. "Oh, hello my dear."
I smile a little, "Duckie do you have a... Hot water bottle down here or anywhere you can think of?" Now that I came down it felt stupid to ask him.
He titled his head a little trying to think, "you can as Mr Palmer, my dear. Is this an urgent matter?"
He gestures, I was too embarrassed. "What? No, I just... Need one."
He smiled a little, "yes alright. Palmer is in there."
He pointed to the door next to the table. I smiled a little as a thanks and opened the door, Palmer was working on the MRI scans. "Oh. Hey y/n." He smiled softly.
"Hey, Duckie told me to ask you if you knew where a hot water bottle might be?"
Palmer thought for a minute, "I don't think we have one, y/n, I'm sorry." He was genuine.
I smiled, "its okay-."
"Is this something you really need?" He asked, looking through his glasses.
"N-no, not at all. Just wondering. Thank you, Palmper." I walked out of the room and out of autopsy.
What would Gibbs do if he saw me without anything, I was scared to sit back at my desk but I did. Tony glanced at me, "and she returns, you better now?" He teased.
I gave him a look and sat back down, Gibbs was at his desk and of course he saw me. He gave me a look, one I couldn't read. "So, Gibbs tells us you have your... Lady time." Tony kept going.
McGee spoke, "knock it off Tony."
Tony smiled a little, Gibbs stood up to look at the screen right beside Tony's desk. As he didn't interfere with the conversation. "Oh come on McGee. Its obvious if she just admits it, I think I'd be satisfied."
Gibbs smacked Tony in the back of the head, Tony didn't even look at him when Gibbs headed towards me and got closer. "I thought I told you to-."
I interrupted Gibbs, "I tried, I couldn't find one."
Gibbs gave me that look again, he smirked slightly and walked past my desk, walking to the elevator.
Tony watches as well, paranoid. "So you are." He said looking at me, waiting till the elevator shut.
"Yes I am, you're a grown man, get off me about it."
McGee smiled as I stood up from myself, Tony just gave McGee a look before looking back to me. "All you had to do was say it."
"I'm not telling you I got my period."
"You just did." Tony mocked.
"Where did Gibbs go?" I was embarrassed.
Tony laughed, "ohh he knows."
"Shut up, Tony." I say.
Tony glairs, "im right aren't I."
McGee spoke, "did you take those pills I gave you yesterday?"
Tony glanced at him and back at me, "now you're sharing drugs. What else aren't you telling me." Tony was clearly teasing.
I roll my eyes. "Yes I did." I replied to McGee.
"They didn't work?"
"No." I say and lean back. I sighed a little and really tired not to make a scene by crying. And when Gibbs came back he had a hot water bottle in his hand, he snapped his fingers for me to stand up and follow him.
When I did he led me to the private room, he sat me in the chair and looked down at me. "I'm going to be right back, you stay here."
I didn't have time to say anything as he walked out the door and shut it... I waited for about 7 minutes before he came back, the hot water filled up and he handed it to me.
He sat in the other chair and looked at me, "is this stopping you from working?"
"No. Why would you ask that?"
He sighs and leans back, "because I asked."
"No." I answered. "If Tony wouldn't have said anything-."
He chuckles, cutting me off, "he wasn't the one who let me know."
I was embarrassed, "what?"
"I've had three wives, remember? I think I'd know by now." He explained, well that made sense but I was still embarrassed.
"Do you need to go home?" He asked, he saw my rosy cheeks.
"No, I'm fine." I replied, when the cramps felt like someone was stabbing me from the inside.
He studied me for a moment before his phone rang, he grabbed it out of his pocket and answered; "what is it McGee?"
There was silence before he hung up, "we have a new suspect. Are you able to come along?"
I nod, "yeah."
I rode with Gibbs, Tony and McGee with each other. When we got to the US department there was a man we needed to arrest as he was part of the murder scene but no actual evidence of murder.
When Gibbs walked in he spoke to another man, asking him where's he been the last 2 days if he's seemed suspicious etc, finding out the man we wanted left before we got there. I stood by him as he spoke, I was cramping but didn't make a scene.
I continued to put my hand over my lower stomach, in hopes it wasn't obvious what I was doing. Gibbs glanced down at my hand as he spoke, he saw that there was pain in my eyes no matter how much I tried to hide it.
He scoot closer beside me, his hand gently reaching to my lower back in secretive touch. The man in front of him wasn't able to see, he gently kept his warm hand on my lower back, and it helped the pain.
I started to relax, and without my knowledge Tony and McGee came up behind me. Tony smirked and looked to McGee. "He has a thing for her, I told you." He whispers.
McGee sighs and whispers back, "would you stop it. She's been in pain all day."
Tony shrugged, "it's not like the boss to ... You know-."
"Show affection?" McGee finished for him.
Tony clenched his jaw and looked at Gibbs hand on my lower back, "well, look at him."
McGee smiled a little, "So what? Maybe he found someone to be fond over, you're mad about that?"
Tony shook his head, "what? No. I was just saying-."
He got cut off when Gibbs turned around, he spoke in his stern voice as always. "You two, go to the airport and find him. His plane hasn't arrived yet..."
They both stood there for a second, "GO!" Gibbs snapped.
They both quickly turned around towards the large doors to their car. Gibbs looked down at me, "let's go."
I followed him to his car, and got in and it was like bricks hitting me at once and I was unable to hid it, I wince causing an unexpected man of pain to slip. "Aah!"
He glanced at me as he started the car, "yeah, you're going home."
"No!" I protest.
"Stop being so stubborn, you're going home. It's not a big deal to just admit you're having a bad period."
I was surprised, I didn't say anything but I was uncomfortable squirming in my seat. He put a hand on my thigh. "Hey, take a deep breath."
He sounded stern but, there was a softness in his voice. "It hurts-." He already knew but I needed to say it.
He nodded a little, "just breathe through it." I cried, unable to take a deep breath. "Deep. Breath." He said again, more stern.
I inhaled and released it slowly, he watched me and smirked. "Good girl."
When he got me to my place I unlocked the door, I didn't think he'd follow me in but he did and I didn't say no. I take off my jacket and put it on the couch. "Do you want something to drink-?"
"Sit." He said, and of course I did. "You have a heating pad?" He questioned.
"In my room, on my bed." I point to the door across the hall.
He opened it and retrieved the heating pad, he smirked at the looks of my room, he liked it. He then got back to me, plugging it in behind the glass table beside the couch and gave it to me.
"Gibbs?"
"Hmm?"
"W-why gave you been so... Affectionate. No offense it's just not like you to."
He smiled and sat beside me, he glanced at the heating pad pressed tight on my stomach, taking a deep breath. "It's not like you to be so bitchy for that time of the month yet here we are."
He was teasing me, I smiled a little shaking my head. "You could just answer my question."
He smirked, "nah. I like to get a rise out of you."
I took a deep breath before the pain hit me again. "Aah!" I cried out. He was unable to help himself.
He gently put his hand on my lower back, his face close to mine. "You need to try to breathe through the pain."
"I am." I say, slightly snapping.
He wasnt mad at me for that, he rubbed my lower back and put his face closer to my ear. "Can't you just listen to me for once?"
I look at him, his blue eyes... His grey hair made my heart go in my throat. "It hurts, Gibbs."
He nodded and sighed, "I know... I know." He kissed my cheek slowly, I was able to lean into it.
"Should you.. go back to work?"
He smiled and looked at the clock on my wall. "It's my break." He smirked and leaned closer.
I let him, as his lips touch mine. He cradled the back of my head and inhaled me, he was gentle but stern with his actions. He put his other hand on my hip and rubbed it softly before pulling away.
"I think I'll stay right here and make sure you're okay."
"It's just a period, Gibbs."
He rolled his eyes. "They're just cramps. Stop crying about it." He teases me.
I smile a little, no he didn't mean it. He gave my thigh a soft hit before he stood up to take off his coat. "Let me kiss you again."
