JourneyQuest-inspired Tarot Cards (Major Arcana only), #15 The Chariot, with Glorion, Carrow, Nara, and Perf

The Chariot card is traditionally composed of the charioteer, the cart, and two contrasting sphinxes/lions. It is the job of the charioteer to direct the opposing forces of the creatures pulling his cart. Here, the opposing “forces” are Glorion (a madman bent on destruction) and Perf (a man with cowardly tendencies, who greatly fears Glorion). Nara serves as the cart, holding Perf back from an escape while following Glorion’s path. Carrot is the charioteer, managing the other forces with wisdom and a gentle tone. The river symbolizes that one should go with the flow. (Do not stab the river.)

Note: Bodies wonky? Dunno. I do not like drawing this many figures. It is always a mistake.

My favourite dnd characters I played:

Glory - half-orc fighter inspired by Glorion from Journeyquest. Onward!

Pyra - practically Pyro from TF2. Loves fire and cute things. So. Much. Fire. And fireball. Just fireball.

Fighter number 2 - he was for a oneshot, so he has no name. It was a short notice so I picked one prepared from web. But it was too vanilla. So the twist is that he is actually possess by a ghost of an evil wizard. So he pretends to be this honorable knight while learning how to swing a sword properly. Thinking about using him again. Either as a backup or for a new game. Still has to figure out cool name for him, though.

Glorion left his Knight order and the adventuring party, somewhere enroute home (or perhaps before that) his life path changed. Now something mysterious and according to his sister, scary, happened to him. The group is concerned, but has no idea where to find him. Player retired character in August 2018.

Noblesse Oblige. Act with the etiquette and grace befitting a noble even if you aren’t highborn, for a paladin of Corellon is always a noble in spirit. Be the very picture of a gentleman. Capture elegance in every movement of your body and soul. Be first in valor. Be unimpeachable in dignity. Let your deeds transcend your words.

Respect nature and the sanctity of beauty.

Respect the function of higher station, and act to facilitate its sacred purpose.

Detest those who have done detestable things. Do not fraternize with enemies of the pantheon. Gruumsh-worshiping orcs, Lolth-worshiping drow, and so forth should not sully your dignity, and deserve no sympathy from you. Wipe out Evil.

Your sworn oaths are as unbreakable as a fey pact… but, like fey pacts, just because they don’t break doesn’t mean that they aren’t flexible or open to interpretation. Also, you can lie in any circumstance where you aren’t making a formal pact.

HISTORY

Father: Elven King (more backstory to come)

The elven kingdom of Arborlon lies within a deep forest nestled in the foothills of a great mountain range. Within the darkest, deepest recesses of the Ancient Wood, crossings to the Shadowfell are numerous and pose a unique threat to the people of Arborlon and the neighboring human and orcish kingdoms on the plains below and the dwarven and goliath kingdoms in the craggy mountains above.

In addition, the Underdark bears several entrances into the Ancient Wood, and the monsters of the deep tend to wander up into the cool and shady environs seeking game or to raid. It is for this reason tthat the Arborlonean elves cut themselves off from the world around and concentrated their efforts on keeping the creatures of the night contained, as well as keeping the “younger” races out of the forest for their own safety. In fact, the main city is permanently cloaked and shielded from outside view, appearing as only so many more trees to the unaided eye.

Growing up, Artherien always found it easy to make friends. He had a natural charisma and way with words that simply made others like him. Very early on he showed a knack for both social grace and the elegance befitting one of his noble birth and a keen, almost intuitive understanding for the martial arts.

Due to his station, upbringing, and handiness with a sword, it was not long before the Knights of Corellon Larethain agreed to take the young elven boy into their ranks, much to the celebration of all. It was there he learned the true meaning of the noble spirit, how to best serve his common elf by providing a shining example in their times of need, and how to unmercifully strike at the darkness that surrounded them, keeping it in check.

It was on one of these forays into the Underdark that Artherien first encountered terror, and love. While pushing back the advances of a particularly vicious Fomorian raid, their small band of knights was flanked and ambushed by a drow raiding party. In the ensuing chaos, Artherien was badly wounded and separated from his group. He was found by a young drow woman, who was as graceful in stature as she was kind in her actions. The young woman hid him away in the underdark, and tended to his wounds. As she helped him recover he slowly fell for this raven haired beauty, and she would often dance the night away to cheer him up. It was a strange, quiet romance, one where little was spoken for fear of discovery.

One day several months later, their little cozy cave was indeed discovered by a band of hook horrors while the girl was away. Artherien had mostly recovered but even so he was no match for the mighty beasts. He fought valiantly and was pushed back into a larger cavern where he saw the girl, coming back with a sack full of trillimac for their evening supper. He shouted for her to run just as the massive claw of one of the horrors descended upon him. The claw struck him across the temple, flinging him to the ground and knocking him out. Just before he lost consciousness he saw the girl spring into action, swords appearing in her hands seemingly out of thin air as the whole cavern began frost over. He briefly woke up one time to the sensation of motion, seeing giant silver talons wrapped around his body as they moved through the air before passing out again.

When he woke up again, he was on the edge of the forest, alone, and his lover, the hook horrors, and the dragon were nowhere to be seen. Since that day, Artherien has thrown himself whole-heartedly into his work with the Larethian Knights, vowing to build up his strength and one day return for the mysterious woman who had saved his life.

APH Fantasia x Pathfinder(KMS) OC

이름: 임경화(Kyunghwa Im) 이명: 저주 받은 소녀, 어둠의 궁수

능력 금기의 유물에 손을 댄 댓가로 인해 어둠을 쓸 수 있게 된 궁수로써, 한 발에 총 5개의 화살이 나가며 텔레포트와 공격을 겸한 기술까지 갖추고 있다. 필살기가 여럿 있다. 그 중 최대의 화력을 가진 기술인 “코스모스 아스트라”를 쓸 수 있다.

과거 선천적으로 가진 뇌 발달 속도 둔화로 ADHD까지 있었던 그녀는 가족 이외의 사람들에게 환영 받지 못했다. 그녀는 늘 우울해 했고 중학교에 입학하고 나서 대학병원의 정신과에서 치료를 받기 시작했다. 그러던 어느날, 대한민국 황자인 용수와 함께 경주에 있는 불국사(사원)에서 소풍을 갔다가 긿을 잃었는데 그만 금기된 유물에 손을 대어 어둠에 집어삼켜지고 말았다. 극적으로 살아남은 경화는 이를 용수에게 털어놓았고 용수는 이를 숨기려 하지만 “차피 이렇게 되었으니 이 힘을 다른 사람을 구하는데 쓰고 싶다”며 말하는 경화에게 강원도에 있는 작은 연습장을 동째로 경화에게 빌려주기로 한다. 경화는 점차 사냥터를 늘려가며 레벨을 올렸고 용수는 UN의 사무총장���게 연락하여 레벨 95가 된 경화를세계 최대의용병단 UN 산하의 Glorion 평화유지군의 용병으로 입단시킨다. 그러던 어느날, 2014-04-16에 유람선이 침몰되어 수많은 사람들이 죽자 박 총리의 무능함을 꾸짖었다. (이로 인해 청와대가 난장판이 되었다고.) 그리고 2016년 최 씨의 국정농락 사건 이후 박 총리를 완전히 불신하며 그녀를 “독재자의 딸”, “친일파의 후손”이라 비난했다. 이후 가출하여 지식인들에게 거둬지면서 2016년 평화적인 촛불혁명을 일으킨다. 박 총리가 파면 당한 이후, 아무런 소식이 없다가 문 총리와 함께 왕궁으로 돌아온다. 

현재 그녀는 지금 시간이 뒤틀린 왕국 “크로아티아스”에서 특수 임무를 수행하고 있다. 위장 잠입은 아니지만 그곳에서도 퀘스트를 수행하며 몬스터를 사냥하고 있으며 사냥하여 모은 아이템을 상인에게 대거 팔기도 한다. 그렇게 하여 모든 돈이 1억 2천만 골드라고 한다.

성격 인간에 대한 신뢰도가 높다. 선악구별이 능통하며 선(善)에 대한 내적신념이 높다(물론 다른 사람에게 강요하진 않는다). 얌전하고 과묵하지만 ADHD 때문인지 관심이 있는 것에 대해서라면 쓸데없이 말이 많다. 인간관계가 상당히 빈약한데 이는 ADHD와 양극성 장애로 인한 것이라고 한다. 정확히는 “인간관계에서의 잦은 실패와 좌절” 때문이라고. 그래서 그녀는 지금까지도 “솔로 플레이어”다. 복잡한 걸 싫어한다. 그래서 퀘스트로 하나에 한번씩만 하는 편이다.

무기 금기된 유물에 손을 대어 고대의 활 “팔라딘 보우”를 사용한다. 장비는 고대의 장비인 “템페스트” 장비 sets를 사용하고 있다.

습관 두 개의 스킬을 연달아 사용한다. (그래서인지 사냥 효율이 증가했다고) 1일 1회 어둠의 전령이 나타나서 사냥을 방해한다. 그땐 전력적으로 그를 집중공격한다.
