does anyone have the glossier ultralip . i kinda want it. i have their gen g lipstick from a couple yrs ago nd i like the shade but its not super moisturizing and kinda smells weird LOL (it always has its not bc its old) idk i kinda want the ultralipppp its 20% off

Birthday

was on Sunday and as usual I spoilt myself to death. Kurasa karena sehari-harinya kita hidup banyak compromise banget ya jadi biasanya pas hari ulang tahun I will eat and buy anything that I want without overthinking it. This is my little tradition and when Adit comes to the scene it became our ritual, I think he prefers it as well since he doesn’t need to think of gifts, we just need to allocate a budget to fund this (although this year he surprised me with a little koala doll that can function as heat/cold pack to help with menstruation cramp hihi). 

So, he made a reservation to ramsay’s kitchen (both of us are fans of Gordon Ramsay’s TV) and we biked to the city! Kebetulan blue bike (rented bike di Boston) lagi ada promo jadi gratis tiap hari minggu di bulan mei. The weather couldn’t be more perfect! It was sunny and warm but still breezy. I wore my new flats (given as a birthday gift from my ciwiciwi geng) and my favorite polene bag in the backpack setting. So convenient for biking. I want to ramble a bit for these two things:

- The flats are from allbirds, which is SO COMFORTABLE but I think I got a wrong size so I need to exchange this. It is light, machine washable, no blisters, empuk. 

- The bag is the perfect size and color and can be used to many occasion because it can transform to crossbody and backpack.

Right. So we arrived at the restaurant just 5minutes late from our reservation. Ordered crab cake for entrees, salmon for me and lobster roll for him (we ended up switch setengah-setengah because both are so good), and toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was superb, and not that expensive too which is surprising. Tapi ini emang bukan resto yang michelin-starred gitu sih lebih casual so I guess there’s that.

Then, we shop around. Masuk saks liat-liat tas edisi spring, coba-coba baju gamis sebagai alasan untuk masuk fitting room buat numpang solat wk. Terus ke sephora buat claiming birthday gifts (lumayan dapet blush stick sama maskara mini), terus ke glossier coba-coba dan beli beberapa item. Tokonya konsepnya lucu banget kita bisa nyoba segala yang ada disana dan kalo mau pesen tinggal panggil mbaknya. Jadi di tokonya gaada display stok barang. Semua yang didisplay bisa dicobain. Jadi kamu technically bisa masuk dengan muka bare terus dandan full didalem. I ended up with the brow gel and 2 shades of ultralip. The lip products are SO GOOOD now I want to buy more shades!! Beneran yang hydrating tapi berwarna dan glossy gitu love banget. Terus semprot-semprot parfumnya juga dan sampe malem masih awet terus baunya enak dipuji Adit. I will definitely buy the perfume once mine runs out hihi.

Do u have a make-up routine and if so pls say duh !!!!

omg i got u!

my new signature routine:

concealer on any blemishes (if i have a pimple or if my undereyes are a little dark)- i sometimes skip this

translucent powder is a MUST!- ELF perfect finish hd powder (my skin is generally oily and also i wear spf which makes it look so dewy so i apply a lot of powder to make it look more matte)

blush. rare beauty nearly berry cream blush (i got it yesterday at the mall and oml i love it sm so its def part of my look now)

black eyeshadow in my waterline and a little natural wing from my top lash (google marilyn monroe eyeliner and copy that wing)- kohl would def work better but at the moment i don't have it so i take a thin brush and put the eyeshadow ONLY on my waterline.

mascara- sky high mascara (i rarely curl my lashes)

lip liner- i think its called fun- its by rare beauty. lip liner is a game changer like im being so fr it's one of my must haves like my lips look sm nicer w them oml.

moisturizing lipstick- ultralip by glossier in ember/kosas lip oil (i had the ultralip in villa but i think ember suits my skintone a lot better. also i got the kosas lip oil for free as a bday gift from sephora so im just using it up)

for fancy occasions i add a tan eyeshadow and blend it out and put a lighter glittery shadow on my eyelid.

i stay away from anything thats very bright pink becuz my skin tone is pretty tan and deeper tones like berryish ones suit me a lot better, like the nearly berry blush and ember ultralip. obviously u can wear whatever u want but very bright pinks just look really unnatural and not as flattering.

my must haves tho are mattifying powder, mascara, lip liner and any sort of gloss/chapstick

If you will allow me to be a beauty influencer for a minute I would like to share some of my recent fave beauty products. This year I’ve started getting into makeup more so I’ve found stuff that I actually like

1. Tower 28 ‘Make Waves’ mascara in shade Drift (chocolate brown)

I am not a huge mascara girl, I have pretty sparse lashes so almost everything looks extremely clumpy and overly dramatic on me. This is the one exception I’ve found, looks rly natural you almost wouldn’t be able to tell I’m wearing mascara. I mostly look for lengthening in a mascara over volume so this def does that

2. Merit flush balm in shade ‘Mood’

Color looks a little scary especially considering I am quite pale but for some reason this looks so much more natural on me than classic pink blushes. Formula is rly nice. I have become a huge blush lover (shocker) and this is the one I reach for most even over the Saie one

3. Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner in shade ‘Dressed to the 90s’

Never in my life did I think I would be a person who wears lip liner but this one is soooo nice. Glides on so easily but also manages to last really long which is surprising? Just the perfect slightly brown slightly pink nude, really good color match to the types of colors I tend to go for. I like to pair it with Glossier Ultralip in ‘Pony’ and Nyx Butter Gloss in ‘Praline’

4. Colourpop Blotted Lip in shade ‘Doheny Dr’

Also never thought I would be a matte lipstick person but here we are. I’m mostly a lip gloss/balmy lipstick person but given the formula of a gloss it obviously doesn’t last long. These aren’t super moisturizing but as a testament to its longevity I swatched it on my hand yesterday and there is a faint hint of it after a whole shower and several hand washes. I think these would be a good dupe for Glossier Generation G. Very buildable
