Bad Sex Bingo Info
Request a board here to participate! A board will be sent to your email in pdf form. The sending email will be “saltyfandomevents” at gmail.
The subject line will be “Your BSB Board.” It may take up to 5 hours to arrive, as long as volume stays low. If you see any issues with your board (like it has someone else’s name on it or something) let us know.
FAQ (below the cut)
What is a bingo event?
You can check out the fanlore article here, but the gist of it is that you get a bingo board with 24 random prompts (we’ve got like, 51 in our list total, but we might add more) and make a fanwork for any prompt you want to cross off to try and create a line of crossed-off squares across your bingo board. The middle is a “free space” so you can do whatever you want for the overarching theme there!
Which board is which?
X-ray is the one with the x-ray of a bulb in the ass on a black background [left]. Fruity is the one with all the rotting fruit on a pink and white background [right].

Can I do one fanwork that hits multiple prompts?
I’m not a cop and there’s no points and no prize, so you can do whatever you want. If you just like rules, and want some though, how about:
Written fanworks may count for multiple prompts, but must be at least 250 words per prompt you’re crossing off.
Drawn fanworks may count for up to two prompts per sketch, three prompts per lined, and four prompts per fully rendered piece with background, but frankly I think an artist would need to be pretty creative to manage it.
Do I need to be 18 plus to participate?
I mean I’d prefer it but I’m not going to be checking your IDs. That’s going to be between you and whatever platform that you upload your work to.
Will you reblog my work related to this bingo?
Maybe! Make sure it meets all of tumblrs TOS though. Use community labels. It’s going to depend on how much work it is :) do @ us, or we definitely won’t see it.
Is there an ao3 collection I can post to?
Sure is! It’s badsexbingo
My bingo board hasn’t arrived and it’s been a whole day!
Did you put your email in correctly? If you’re not sure, try again and pay close attention. Also check your spam folder! Send us an ask or an email if you’ve double checked everything.
I don’t like one of the prompts on my board.
Oh wow, that’s rough, maybe you can work around it. OR you can request another randomly generated board and see if you like that one better.
I don’t want a new board I just want this prompt off my board.
Ugh okay, fine. Reply to the email you received your board in and explain what you want taken off and we’ll swap it with something. This may take a while because the rest of this is all automated and doesn’t require me to look at it. I haven’t even put the email on my phone.
If you have a ton of squicks around suboptimal sex though, this might not be the event for you!
What does this prompt mean?
You can interpret the prompts however you want! I’m not a cop!
I did write the prompts to be funny rather than clear, so have a look here to see what I was thinking, if you want, though. Totally optional. You can do whatever you want forever.

I have a personal Gmail account which I use for correspondence about a book project I am working on. I woke up one morning in November to discover that I could no longer access it. A message from Google said my access had been “restricted globally” because “it looks as though Gmail has been used to send unwanted content. Spamming is a violation of Google’s policies.” The note said the decision had been made by “automatic processing” and that if I thought it was a mistake, I could submit an appeal. I had not sent any spam and couldn’t imagine why Google’s algorithm thought that I had. That made it hard to know what to write in the “appeal” text box, other than a panicked version of something like, “I didn’t do it (whatever it is)!” and, “Please help, I really need access to my email and my files”. (To my relief, I realised later that I hadn’t lost access to my drive.) Two days later, I heard back: “After reviewing your appeal, your account’s access remains restricted for this service.” I wasn’t given any more information on what I had supposedly done or why the appeal had been rejected, but was told that “if you disagree with this decision, you can submit another appeal.” I tried again and was rejected again. I did this a few more times — curious, at this point, about how long this doom loop could continue. A glance at Reddit suggested other people had been through similar things. Eventually, I gave up. (Google declined to comment on the record.) Among regulators, one popular answer to the question of how to make automated decisions more “fair” is to insist that people can request a human to review them. But how effective is this remedy? For one thing, humans are prone to “automation complacency” — a tendency to trust the machine too much. In the case of the UK’s Post Office scandal, for example, where sub-postmasters were wrongly accused of theft because of a faulty computer system called Horizon, a judge in 2019 concluded that people at the Post Office displayed “a simple institutional obstinacy or refusal to consider any possible alternatives to their view of Horizon”. [...] As for my email account, when I decided to write about my experience for this column, I emailed Google’s press office with the details to see if I could discuss the issue. By the end of the day, my access to my email account had been restored. I was pleased, of course, but I don’t think many people would see that as particularly fair either.

Just had an old-ass boomer who must be fucking Patrick Star the way he’s apparently been completely living under a rock for my entire lifetime (I’m 30). Dude genuinely didn’t know what an email is. I was signing him up for our rewards program because I knew the flea collar he was buying has a sale price, and our rewards requires the customer’s phone number, first/last name and email address. I asked him at least five times if he had “an email for digital mail” and he genuinely had no idea what that was. So yeah, either he’s Patrick Star or has dementia/Alzheimer’s and probably shouldn’t be unsupervised enough to take himself to the pet store.
(Also I threw in [firstnamelastname]@gmail and toggled off the automated emails so he could get the sale price and so I could get a rewards signup counted lol)

Click to Order PART (REVISED)

This is a intro to a story I had when I first got my drivers license.
Plot: Why are the most ordinary, helpful individuals, the most evil? How many have we seen that commit extraordinary depravity while being undetectable Once you've sense an once of that unruly thread, one is trapped in the unfurling, dark web... We will meet many opposing sides and blurred viewpoint of the characters, Marcy Elmer and Glinda Joan, until you can't see where the true villain resides...
PART 1
Welcome to your new journey!
Please bring the acceptable forms of I.d: An UNEXPIRED driver's license, a physical social security number card, a passport or Visa I.d
Marcy scanned the email with bleary eyes
It was 5:00 o' clock in the morning and she awoke in a panic, fearing she'd already missed her appointment.
Rightfully so, living in Paterson New Jersey the commute to the the correct DMV that wasn't completely packed was miles away in Queens, New York.
The weather had been dreary and grey. Sadly fitting Marcy's chain of misfortune over the last 3 months.
Even being February in the East-coast, it felt remarkably foreboding.
She could hear the whistling wind, whip its way through her air ducts
A bitter reminder of living alone
Shaking her head in irritation she chided herself
"I should've gotten this damn I.D fixed months ago...I didn't have the money and the temp one expired weeks before this crap. All this for a job?
At least they took her temporary I.D before hand...WHY do I always wait until the last minute?
Glancing at the clock it was already 5:10 Am
Hurriedly, she checks the appointment date on her lagging Gmail
10:00 Am, Thursday 10th, 2013
"That should give me plenty of time to at least stand in line at Starbucks ans get a coffee... once I hit the streets of Queens there will no chance for at least an 45 minute wait, once I hit the city.
Finally stumbling out the door, she crams her earbuds in
Throwback Thursday
To Ke$sha, "Tiktok" was now her favorite obsession of the week
Dead leaves crunched under already cold feet, crammed into worn to hell flats, Payless.
The subway had a eerie yellow tone in the early morning glow,it looked like yawning portal, with mystery stains of sodas and god knows what else
She takes a moment to pause at the missing persons bulletin hanging as she past.
It was usually crowed but this time
Pictures were practically falling off of thing
Jammed back with smiling and blurry unsmiling faces
HAVE YOU SEEN ME?
LAST SEEN
PLEASE CONTACT IF
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS WOMEN?
A barrage of empty pleas
Alone in the subway station that unsettled feeling starts to sprout in her gut and continues to grow reaching heart when she arrives on the train
It was just her and one lone man in a tattered coat
Holding her self as she sits down, she cranks her music even louder to ignore the whirlwind of anxiety that has followed her out of nowhere
Finally
Starbucks appears in her views
It was thankfully and almost strategically right out front of the subway station so she could catch the connecting train
Catching her face in the glass, waiting for her Carmel Macchiato, the sudden warmth of the place made her cheeks flushed and very red.
At last she arrives to her destination with barely 5 minutes to spare to check in with her ticket number
Flopping into a cold plastic blue chair, she waits for her number to be called
# A00671
Marcy peaks in her bag to make sure she remembered her SSN card and proof of residency
Before she can heavy a sigh of relief her number is called on the grainy automated speaker above her
"Number # A00671 Booth number 7 is now ready"
"Jesus," she muttered and heads to the booth
A very plain women with limp blond hair in a fading 80's style with rectangular glass beamed at her the moment she saw her
"Good morning, dear, how are you this brisk morning?"
How could any one have this much energy this early? Marcy thought sourly
Did she have an almost 2 hour commute to break her neck to?
Instead, Marcy tried to remove her weary scowl and replied, "I'm good. Thank you."
The effervescent women droned on about how cold it was now, and how it felt like a Monday
Marcy only cares to zone back in when she asks something relevant
"Now do you have 2 bills proving your state of residents?
Saying nothing, she hands the coffee stained, crumpled pieces of paper to her
"Beautiful!" "Do you have your Social?"
Again, wordlessly she hands over her card
The women kept asking her a bunch of questions that she could've already seen on her computer is she stopped being nosy
It unnerved her why she asked why she was getting her DL updated if she took the metro every where.
Yes, she could drive, I just prefer to have both
No she doesn't and won't ever consider moving to New York
Yes it was for a job
Until the last part almost sent Marcy reeling from annoyance
"Would you like to list that your an organ donor?"
She paused
Would she?
Marcy thought back to her dying cousin who had cancer at 17 and needed a new heart...Didn't live long enough for when the call came in when a match was found after a someone died in a highspeed car crash. Only two days later...
The women interrupted her thoughts by blurting out the benefits
Trying to tug on her heart strings
" Ya, know if there was one more person that volunteered to be a donor maybe my poor husband could've gotten a new liver. You never know who could need it!"
The women falls silent and continues typing away at her computer
Absently, she nods, half to herself and half to the women.
She felt a shred of camaraderie. Then, she noticed the women had a name. On a dusty plaque behind the finger smudged glass read:
Glinda
"Yeah, sure why not?"
The women now known as Glinda, beams at her and adds to the series of keyboard entries
Part II next week

Is there a specific time when invites will be start to sent out?
There’s no specific time, but it’ll take the next few days. We’ve already sent the first batch of invites so be sure to check your junk/spam folder if you haven’t gotten yours already. Since we’re doing it by email for automation purposes, we can only send a certain amount each day (or else gmail gets nasty) so don’t worry if you haven’t gotten yours. You should be getting the invite within a week of signing up but if they don’t arrive by then and if it’s not in the spam folder, feel free to DM us here or on twitter and we’ll get you sorted out.

The last section tho:
This challenge in narrowing down search results to chat responses in an AI interface has just been highlighted by Leipzig University; its research specifically looked at the quality of search results for product reviews and recommendations.
The paper, titled “Is Google Getting Worse? A Longitudinal Investigation of SEO Spam in Search Engines,” asks whether SPAM and SEO gamesmanship has a disproportionate impact on the quality of results filtering through.
“Many users of web search engines complain about the supposedly decreasing quality of search results… Evidence for this has always been anecdotal, yet it’s not unreasonable to think that popular online marketing strategies such as affiliate marketing incentivize the mass production of such content to maximize clicks.”
In short, the answer appears to be yes.
“Our findings suggest that all search engines have significant problems with highly optimized (affiliate) content… more than is representative for the entire web.”
This is not specific to Google, of course, and the researchers also examined Bing and DuckDuckGo over the course of twelve months. Ironically, given Google’s focus on integrating generative AI and search, the researchers warn that this is a “situation that will surely worsen in the wake of generative AI.”
We have all become conditioned to judging the likely independence of search results as set out in our browsers, and we have learned to scan such results as today’s shop window equivalents. But in a world when you ask a chatbot “where’s the best place to buy a Samsung TV,” or “what’s the best pizza restaurant in Denver,” the format of your results will be very different. We all need to remember, it’s not really a chat.
The AI update coming to Google Messages is part of a trend, of course, and you can expect multiple such AI add-ons to come thick and fast, especially with Google driving much of the momentum. This should be good news for Android users.
We have just seen an official Chrome announcement on the introduction of three new helpful AI releases making their way into beta. Automated tab management and theme creation sound good, but it’s the Help me Write feature within Chrome that’s likely to be the most useful, especially on an Android mobile device.
We have also seen GMail’s own Help Me Write feature adapted to combine AI and voice, as spotted by TheSPAndroid, “Gmail's ‘Help Me Write’ can help you draft emails with ease and definitely can save you some time. Currently the functionality is available on both web and apps, but you have to write the email prompt yourself using the keyboard. On the Gmail app for Android, Google is working on a feature which will let you draft emails with voice [prompts].”
And there was the earlier news that Android Auto will use AI to intelligently filter information in and out of the system, while you keep your hands on the steering wheel and your eyes on the road.
Many positives, clearly, but that core risk in narrowing search results isn’t the only word of warning here. Google Messages chats with Bard are not secured by end-to-end encryption, and Google (being Google) will store your data and use it to improve its algorithms. Just as with other such models, be careful what you ask.
No news yet on timing, but in all likelihood it isn’t far away. According to Bard, “Google has not yet announced an official release date for Bard in Google Messages, but it is expected to be available sometime in 2024.”

Regarding the AI-to-sort-through-submissions question, a major publisher recently opened (briefly) to submissions and were going to use an AI called Storywise to sort their subs. There was a massive backlash on social media and they rescinded the idea, got them a lot of bad press. Not sure if you saw that controversy. So I wonder if the person who asked you that question also saw that or if some agencies/other publishers are now doing this too.
I hadn't heard of this controversy, so I googled it, and came up with this article recapping a thing where Angry Robot was going to use Storywise to sort through submissions and got a lot of pushback. (Are they a major publisher? Is this what you were referring to? Or was there another thing?)
The interesting / wild thing about this to me is that... this doesn't sound like a big deal, actually? They put an FAQ about it (which they have left up for transparency) -- in reading the article above and the FAQ, if they are to be believed, it seems that AR were using a non-generative AI program that was NOT being trained on or retaining any of the author's work.
This "slushbot" was going to filter submissions to the appropriate editor and flag any anomalies (like, "doesn't fit requested word count" etc).
All submissions, whether or not they were "flagged" in this way, were being looked at by an actual human. (Because slushbot can make mistakes!).
This... doesn't sound that egregious to me? In fact, it sounds super reasonable? AM I BONKS? Am I missing something?? Maybe!
Things I -- and possibly you! -- use every day that have similar features:
GMAIL. Uses AI to filter out spam, highlight important messages, designate promotions and ads to different folders, remind me to follow up on things, etc. Does it make mistakes? Sure, sometimes. I do have to check the spam filter now and again to make sure it isn't flagging important things wrongly. Does it make my life infinitely easier? YES. I get hundreds of emails a day -- if I had to look at all the trash ones, I would NEVER find the important ones!
SPELLCHECK / AUTOCORRECT / AUTOCOMPLETE / GRAMMARLY, et al. Use AI to tell me when I have misspelled something or to suggest wording. Is it always right? No! I never mean DUCK, spellcheck! Does it make my life easier? For sure! I have fat fingers, this saves me from many a gaffe!
"IF YOU LIKE ____, TRY _____" -- you know how online retailers often suggest things based on your buying preferences, or give you a bargain on things they know you enjoy to get you to re-buy, etc? You know how TikTok and Netflix push content that they think you'll be into based on your viewing habits? Or you'll just be chatting about beekeepers and suddenly you have ads for bee merch on your Facebook? That's the magic of the algorithms, babes. And they are everywhere.
QUERYMANAGER. I don't know if this technically counts as "AI" -- but QM does do things like flag submissions that meet certain criteria that I've designated (like, if it is somebody who is previously published, if it is a referral, etc) -- it also tells me the history of submissions, so I know if they've queried the agency before and when and to whom and with what material. (This is how I KNOW FOR A FACT that so many people don't follow the DUCKING directions.) And, while currently I have to manually forward submissions to other agents if they are more appropriate for them, I could see a world where that was automated -- like if all queries came to a central repository and QM2.0 forwarded them to the specific agents at the agency who were open to [whatever] kind of book. Would that be a bad thing? Or a HELPFUL thing? IDK.
These are just tools, at the end of the day. I don't think there's anything morally wrong with using them or trying them out as long as you aren't letting them make actual decisions for you. Like, I would never want a slushbot to reject things (or accept them!) on my behalf - I have to be the one to look, just as I would never want an algorithm to purchase things on my behalf just because I MIGHT like them -- no thank you! By all means suggest, but I have to make the final decision!
(TL;DR: Using spellcheck on your work to make sure you haven't called me KENNIFER? Yes please! "Creating" work that you intend to submit with your name on it using generative AI? Please, no. Using an AI filter to flag submissions and sort them to the correct person? Sounds OK! Stealing author's work to train an AI? Not OK!)

Max 4 Live Devices
Here I'll be posting max 4 live devices that may be useful to the community. If you have feedback, or if you need specific modification to suit your needs, feel free to contact me at : vair . nicolas at gmail . com
Disable on export
Download here
Fairly simple. During export, the next device will be disabled (next device to the right of this one). Work before or inside Effects Racks. Super useful to disable the EQ of your monitoring while exporting.
I tried various methods that resulted very unreliable (plugin would stay on with 1 in 10 exports), so I finally chose to keep it off as default state and goes on while "playing and not exporting".
Clip color
Download for free here
Simple little device to change the color of the selected clip. You can map the buttons to keyboard.
I use it mainly when tracking, using the following color code : red -> Bad take orange -> Ok take green -> Great take white -> time issue pink -> something else to be taken care of blue -> pitch issue
You can easily open the patch to change colors or add colors.
Collaboration is welcome but the device is available for free. No need to put a real email.
Note : currently it doesn't work on a selection of various clips. It's a real bummer for linked tracks (current workaround is right click and select color).
Insert again
Download for free here
Simple device to load a plugin and map with a keyboard shortcut (similar to shortcut buddy).
This device make use of 11live.tools available here. It's included in the patch so no need to download it (I hope so at least 🫠).
Collaboration is welcome but the device is available for free. No need to put a real email.
Notes : - You can't load a plugin directly, but you can create a group rack with your plugin, then save your group rack somewhere and drag this group rack to the device. - I added an option to "extract' the plugin from the group rack and delete the group rack. This way you don't clutter the visual interface with useless groups. - If you need to add another plugin to a keyboard shortcut, insert a second instance of "Insert again".
Gain staging
***after download, load it on your session and follow instructions to load the correct path to "Gain.adg" file. ***
Ok.. so this one is a bit trickier but without a doubt the patch I use the most daily.
Use it to manage gain staging in a session :
1 - at track level - map to keyboard shortcut to insert a gain anywhere in your session
2 - at clip level - map to keyboard shortcut to apply gain to a clip
1 - TRACK GAIN
Trigger anywhere to add a gain in your plugin chain.
If your fader is at -5, click on fader then trigger, a gain with -5 is added as last object of track and fader reset to 0. If last object was already a gain, then values are summed. (This works ok until +/-24 dB then it behaves weird.)
I created this because I use my faders only for automation and/or temporary adjustments (like voice at +6 dB while editing vocals). Waay more space for your brain to focus on what matters.
2 - CLIP GAIN
Select a clip then trigger to apply gain.
There are a lot of M4L devices for clip gain, I wanted one as simple as possible when editing breath.
I use "e" as keyboard shortcut so I have "cmd+e" to cut, "e" to clip gain.
Available here

Print
Print tracks and groups to stéréo in one key.
Click on a track, keymap to the PRINT button. When you press it, it will create a new track which input is the output of the previous track and arm it for record. Then press record and unleash the power of the wav.
Great for printing groups, FX, sampling, layering, searching textures etc..This one is 2€ here

#_What_are_the_different_types of campaigns available in Google Ads?
As of my last update in September 2021, Google Advertisements offers colorful types of juggernauts to advertisers to reach their target followership and achieve specific marketing pretensions. Please note that Google might have introduced new crusade types or made changes since also. still, as of my last update, the main types of juggernauts available in Google Advertisements were
Search juggernauts These juggernauts display textbook advertisements to druggies when they search for specific keywords on Google. Advertisers bid on keywords applicable to their products or services, and their advertisements appear on the hunt machine results runner( SERP).
Display juggernauts Display juggernauts show visual banner advertisements or textbook advertisements on websites that are part of Google's Display Network. These advertisements can be targeted grounded on followership interests, demographics, and website content.
Video juggernauts Video juggernauts are used to announce on YouTube and Google Display Network videotape mates. Advertisers can produce in- sluice advertisements that play ahead, during, or after a YouTube videotape, or they can use videotape discovery advertisements that appear in YouTube hunt results or related videotape suggestions.
Shopping juggernauts These juggernauts are designed fore-commerce businesses to promote their products and display them in the Google Shopping tab or as product table advertisements on the hunt results runner.
App juggernauts App juggernauts( formerly Universal App juggernauts) allow advertisers to promote their mobile apps across colorful Google platforms, including Google Hunt, Google Play, YouTube, and the Google Display Network.
Discovery juggernauts Discovery juggernauts serve visually rich advertisements across multiple Google feeds, similar as the Discover feed on the Google app, YouTube home feed, and Gmail elevations tab.
Smart juggernauts( formerly known as AdWords Express) Smart juggernauts are a simplified interpretation of Google Advertisements, aimed at small businesses with limited time or coffers. Google's automated technology optimizes announcement placement and targeting to achieve the stylish results for the advertiser.
Original juggernauts Original juggernauts are designed to drive bottom business and store visits. They promote physical locales by combining information from Google My Business with advertisements across Google's network.
Each crusade type offers different announcement formats, targeting options, and objects to help advertisers achieve their specific marketing pretensions. Advertisers can choose the most suitable crusade type grounded on their target followership, budget, and advertising objects. For the most over- to- date information and to explore any implicit changes or new crusade types, I recommend visiting the Google Advertisements platform directly.
If you want to know and do google ads and get your website to the top of google you can definitely contact me-
