The beta version of BAD HAND is now available on Ko-fi and itch.io! 🔥
BAD HAND is a two player, gmless, character-focused mini TTRPG about sacrifice, debt, and blackjack, designed to be picked up and played easily in a single sitting.
Special thanks to @ajihaew for putting together the PDFs, to my friends for their many eyes emojis and DLC ideas during the process, and to my supporters on Ko-fi for bagel money and being so patient!
If you play, your feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Hollyhock is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of the Fae, during the Hollyhock festival– a celebration of mischief, trickery, wit, and skill, wherein the players take on the role of various fair folk as they partake in the festival, each with their own motivations and goals.
It is made for 3-6 players, and is a gmless game– everyone works together to build the story! Hollyhock utilizes a deck of cards with which players build a hand out of over the course of the game as they make moves, and it contains 8 playbooks and 7 archetypes to build a unique character from!
Currently, Hollyhock is in its playtesting phase! If that sounds interesting, follow our socials for updates, and join our discord if you’re interested in helping us playtest!

It occurs to me that I’ve never really explained. What our podcast is, on here.
So here goes nothing!
Follow the Leader (#ftlcast) is an anthology style actual-play podcast where we tell short character- driven stories through the use of a wide variety of gmless tabletop roleplaying games.
Typically, we record a single-session game (sometimes we do two sessions if it seems the story we’re telling is going to take longer than just the one recording session) and then we split that one recording session into as many ~1 hr long episodes as we can!
Each of our all-queer cast members has a pool of ocs, and we try to bring them back often in various games as aus.
New episodes come out every Monday during our true seasons and every other Monday during FTL Presents interstitial seasons. (we're in one of these at the time of posting on 3/7/23) Each short story comes out as a numbered arc, and you can start our podcast at any story you like by listening to any #.1 episode!
I personally recommend arc 42 (episodes 1, 2, and 3) where we play Lady Winter in the Protocol series by Post World Games and Jim Pinto, in which i play Mihva Namethari, a dryad mage-princess being woo'd very sweetly, if a bit awkwardly by a himbo Bugbear. (pictured below)
Tumblr media
and arc 56 ( 1 ), where we play I Came Here to Win by Peach Garden Games. My primary character in this episode is Garion, a vampire tailor for the supernatural, desperately pretending for television that he is a Normal Adult Human Thank You. My secondary character is Daydream, a bitchy track star who is also just me blatently doing my best taako impression. Both of these fine boys are competing in a television show to become the lucky one to get a scholarship to a prestigious wizarding university.
Or you could jump right in with our current season, Ftl Presents: Pathfinder
Tumblr media
A more traditional style of ttrpg actualplay, where we do a short campaign made up of the pathfinder official adventure modules! Its already shaping up to be quite the journey, and it's only getting more so by the week!
so yeah! give us a listen! and if you talk abt the show, we'd really appreciate it if you'd tag it #ftlcast so we can see what folks think!

New Characters!
Tumblr media
Picrew links: Left | Right (chainmail is edited in stock photo)
Considering trying out doing a solo-GMless campaign (if anyone's got reccomendations for what to run for myself, lmk), and threw together a duo of characters I've been wanting to play for a while
On the left you've got Victor Black, a human gunslinger who grew up on the streets of neverwinter. Never knew his family, and his only treasured possesion was a stuffed teddy bear named Mallow. At some point when he was 4, thanks to a childs imagination and an accidental spark of magic, that plushie was brought to life.
That was 35 years ago, and while he's now a grizzled adventurer, Mal still protects him as his warden. He doesn't remember much of them growing up on the streets, but Vic's glad of that given what he does.
For now though, they're just a family buisness of adventuerers, out to make a living in this world of myth, magic, and monsters.

This Saturday, I'm playing Action 12 Cinema by Michael K. Ross, aka The RPG Academy. Action 12 Cinema is a GMless game where you roll d12s to create the best bad movie you can imagine. As soon as I read the rules, I immediately knew the cast I would want to play this game with. When I think of over the top characters, I immediately think of Ethan, who creates incredible characters, no matter which side of the DM screen he's on.
Tumblr media
I also knew I'd want to play with Jason, who has an incredible sense of story, and excellent comedy impulses. Jason is a great scene partner because if you set something up for him, no matter how subtle, he immediately picks up what you're going for and runs with it.

My last guest is Matt, who I was lucky enough to play in several games with on another stream, and have been wanting to have guest on my stream ever since! Matt does improv in addition to playing TTRPGs, and brings such humor and creativity to all of his characters.
This characters we came up with in our session zero are very fun and tropey, and the plot we decided on is buck wild, even by B-movie standards, so if you're reading this, you should totally swing by on Saturday to catch the stream live!

If you play No Map, No Plan with more than one player, you *could* all work together, sharing in both the risk and the possible reward... or you could be unrelated but equally unprepared thieves making everything worse for each other!

Hello :-)
Check out my game!
Gothic Grace is a Gothic horror rules-light, GMless, diceless tabletop roleplaying game with wizards, magic and dark gods. In this game you play as wizards, magicians, and warlocks gaining their power from the bonds they create. You stalk the blood-soaked and infested streets, battlefields, and dark cathedrals of Grace - hoping to outrun the contract that's forced you into servitude for the nobility.
Gothic Grace is inspired by soulsborne games, full metal alchemist, gothic horror and the occult. Expect to see blood, religion and body horror in this game!

Just realized a new PWYW game just in time for the changing of the seasons. It was created in part by a fun creative discord game and the quickly became darker as I fleshed it out
The Ghosts Built a Home is a 2 - 4 player GMless game where one is the Human who sees Ghosts and the other players are Ghosts. The Human just wants to live a normal, Ghost free life and the Ghosts have some things to say about that. So they built a house next to there "soon to be human friend" and now want their attention.
It's a simple contested 2d6 system with notice rolls to see if anyone else noticed the strange behavior from the Human.
I hope you enjoy!!

By the way! I wrote a fun lil narrative TTRPG game called the Emperor's procession, where you stitch together the story of a fearsome and magical emperor journeying through their land - from the point of view of their citizens who are all like fairytale protagonists in their own right.
Please have a look and if it suits you, I hope you give it a try!

Hey, do you like GMless games for 4-6 people? Do you like things that are free? Do you want to escape from the failings of your country's legislative body in real life by roleplaying as a representative/MP that actually works towards their constituency's interests?
Check out the playtest for my ttrpg Winning the Peace on my Itch.io (did I mention it's free?)
It has full rules for creating a City, its Communities, and the Representatives working to navigate the city through a future free from the Dark Lord.
Play as one of 4 different Representative types, and balance your Community's needs against those of others!
Navigate 52 different Events using a deck of standard playing cards!
As my first full ttrpg, I'm really excited to share this with everyone and am looking forward to receiving feedback!

I can't wait for you all to see the games I'm playing this month on Incredibly Indie! First, this Saturday (April 8th) I'm playing Action 12 Cinema by Michael K. Ross (aka The RPG Academy). We had our Session 0 last night, and this game is going to be an EXCEEDINGLY silly, enormously cheesy take on the B-tier action movie genre. This GMless game is designed for one-shots, and uses only the BEST dice, a d12 (get in the comments if you wanna argue about dice).
On Wednesday, April 12th, I'll be playing Over The Mountain, a solo rural fantasy game by Marz Corbeau (aka Marchcrow). Modern rural fantasy is such an underrated genre, and this two-page game feels true to rural life. The game has mechanics for making friends (who may eventually become roommates), clearing out dungeons, helping out your neighbors, and collecting trinkets you can show off to your friends. I can't wait to see what I discover and achieve as I play!
If you're an indie TTRPG designer with a game that you'd love to see a one-shot of, especially if you've never had a video playthrough of your game that you didn't organize, you should apply to have me stream a one-shot of your game!
