but like just imagine sukuna's bad attitude but housed in gojo's body, completely marked with the thick black outlines and a scowl written on his face that creeps up into a wicked smirk when he sees you. his eyes were lacking their 'usual' turquoise glow, which made you wonder if he was hit with a cursed technique that affected his strength.

until he speaks to you in an unruly manner- more unruly than usual and everything started to make sense. (we know gojo's cocky but c'mon sukuna's downright cruel)

the only reason why sukuna ever took over gojo in the first place is 'cause you rejected him; all because he didnt appeal to your standards. you liked the strong type, satoru gojo fit that category long before your eyes ever glanced over ryōmen sukuna.

Hehehe artists commentary time. Cause idk I wanna talk about it.

This took me a long time ngl. I mean part of that was a took a break and then had to actively make myself sit down and finish it, which I don't regret.

This was the first time I've drawn Ranno and Liligator (as well as greninja from the front), so between that and the character spacing, posing, lineart, the fact I didn't have an actual lineart pen for most of this, and attempted color matching (cough cough perfectionist cough), it was a challenge. Dude color matching Liligator's blue was really frustrating for a while, but I'm happy with how it turned out. And its As Close As I Can Get™. Ranno's bubbles gave me hell when I started coloring them. I swatched a lot of potential strategies before I tried on the sketch, so eventually it worked out and I think they work pretty good. I've drawn greninja a couple times cause they're my main in ssbu, but MAN. Drawing them from the front. Not doing that again anytime soon I'm doing just great with a three quarters angle thanks. I still think their face looks off, but I redrew their eyes at least 50 times and had to just Leave It if I ever wanted to continue.

Despite all of that, I had such a clear image of this idea in my head so I went and put it on paper. Honestly this was really fun and I like having a project I can chip away at for a couple days.

“ are you okay?” you can feel the rumble of nanami’s voice and you blink your eyes open. you lift your head a tad and you mumble out,

“yeah m’ fine, drinking gets me sleepy s’all,.” your speech is slurred a bit more of your natural dialect seeps through your usual prim and proper way of talking. you hear a soft huff, maybe amusement? you’re not exactly in the clearest state of mind right now to tell. you keep talking, he asks you questions softly and you murmur your responses.

it’s nice, you’ve always wanted to talk to nanami outside the clock but you’ve never had the chance to. maybe coming to this working outing was worth it -

wait. has nanami? always been this close? you’re head was on his arm but only the crown of your head was there, but now your temple is against the buff muscle of his arm. you smell his cologne - woody and heady and you blink when he nudges his arm against your cheek and you perk your head up as you hum at the question he ask.

the conversation continues and you find yourself thinking more and more of these smaller details of nanami kento in the haze of your mind. as you prattle on nanami can’t help but thank this outing as well. he’s always liked you, you’re his type to the letter if he’s being frank. you’re neat and polite, you have soft smile and your eyes have a shine to them he’s fond of. but he’s never really had time to talk to you.

he presses closer and closer to you, he can smell your shampoo in your hair - lavender and tea tree oil. it’s a nice clean smell, sharp enough to cut through the atmosphere of the bar and it makes him scoot closer to you, in order to follow the your scent but also to hear your sweet, sleepy voice.

I’m crying. I wasn’t this upset when season three was cancelled on HBO because I thought there was still a chance but I guess not. I’m glad our efforts were worth something in the end but if it wasn’t enough to keep the show going then nothing was, and tbh I guess that’s a bit comforting. We did everything we could. I’m so grateful for the amazing cast and crew of ofmd, it’s rare to see such positive interactions between a fandom and the creators, and this fandom specifically is one of the most inclusive and interesting ones I’ve ever been a part of. Our flag means death was unique to an extent I’ve never seen before. They gave us so many diverse, interesting, and complex characters, and the queer representation was like nothing ever before seen on tv. Ofmd was an incredible tv series, and the effect it had on me is unlike almost anything I’ve ever experienced. There’s so much more to say but It’s 1am right now and I really need to sleep. Thank you so fucking much to David, Taika, Rhys, Samba, and the entire cast & crew of our flag means death, all of you are amazing. Fuck HBO and fuck David Zaslov, Our flag means death deserved more.
