FUNNIEST fucking shit that comes with making Danny eleven years old when he had his accident in "late at night, when the nightingale sings" is the implication following, that everything that happened in the show did too. And I fully intend on (mostly) keeping it like that. There'll be some changes (of which I need to figure out) but for the most part??? Yeah relatively the same.

Like I FULLY intend on keeping Dark Danny occurring 6 months post accident. Do you know how fucking HILARIOUS that is??? That Dan got his ass kicked by a goddamn FIFTH-SIXTH GRADER?? I'd never show my face ever again. Homeboy spent the last ten years being a one-man mass extinction event, only to get his ass beat by a kid who hasn't even lost his last baby tooth. That's hysterical. I'm losing my mind just thinking about it.

AND PARIAH DARK TOO. Imagine being an eons old tyrant capable of dragging whole towns down into your dimension, and you get singehandedly shoved back into your coffin in less than 48 hours by a kid whose bedtime is still 8:30. You didn't even have the time to expand your army! You were still trying to take over the city the kid came from!

And he just!!! Shoves you back in!! Insane! This kid hasn't even been dead for a full year yet! He's still growing in his ghost fangs! And he just knocked you flat on your ass in an oversized mech suit. What the fuck! It's like looking down and seeing a four week old kitten meowing very indignantly at you and trying to bite your feet, except that kitten is also actually a black-footed cat and they have a 60% kill success rate, and oops! Now you're dead. You took too long laughing at the kitten trying to attack you that it clawed up your pant leg and ripped out your throat.

COULD I, realistically, span these episodes out over the course of 2.5 years prior to Danny's family dying?? Yes I could! Do I think it's hilarious (and horribly traumatizing, which makes it twice as fun) to shove all of this into the span of (roughly) a year instead?? Yes. Because the show has such a skewed timeline that I've always just assumed that at the end of the show, Danny was starting his sophomore year in high school. So fuck it, lets go for it!

So like, y'all know that popular Star Wars fic trope of Time Traveling Obi-Wan Kenobi where he dies and then wakes up in his 11ish year old body back in the Jedi Temple? You know how usually he wakes up, has a few minutes/hours of confusion, and then goes about trying to act like he was at age 11 while slowly fixing everything wrong with the Jedi Order? Personally I think he would not do that.

I think that Ben "Lived As A Wizard Hermit For Two Decades On Tattooine, Left, And Then Died Immediately" Kenobi would wake up as an eleven-year-old, have a panic attack, attack the nearest adult Jedi while accusing them of Doing Weird Sith Shit To His Brain, fucking flee, only then realize he has time traveled, steal someone's ship, go flying out of the temple to god knows where, continue panicking, crash into a random moon while distracted, nearly die, build a survival camp out of his broken ass ship and eat whatever bugs he can find, get kidnapped by pirates, overthrow said pirates, steal their ship, and then very calmly return to the Jedi temple like nothing happened.

Then and only then do I think he would start trying to act like a normal human person (while also dodging questions such as "what the fuck was that" and "where were you" and "is that a pirate's ship?"), except he'd be bad at it due to having lived as an Insane Wizard Desert Hermit for the past twenty years who has experienced enough trauma and time that he doesn't super well remember the details of his childhood, what with all of the wars and death and wars and such.

His acting convinces nobody, but nobody is sure what exactly to do about All Of That so he's for the most part left alone (after very vehemently refusing sptherapy), all the way up until he catches a glimpse of palpatine out of the corner of his eye and then its On Sight

Brief descriptions under the cut <3

Brief descriptions and tones:

Chivalry: Tone- medium-ish, contains darker scenes and angst, contains Pokemon death. Set in past Galar, Florian takes the role of a Prince, Kieran takes the role of an amateur sorcerer. Many Pokemon are considered bad because of their typing, things like Fire and Electric types are considered dangerous and to be avoided, things like Fairy, Dark, and Dragon types are considered even more dangerous. Most people treat Dragon types with disdain, and if able to kill them on sight, even young first stage ones. Kieran does not subscribe to this belief.

Everything I Am. : Tone - unsure yet, probably angsty but not too dark. My take on a toxic chain AU, only Florian is the one under the influence of Pecharunt. Happens because he's feeling frustrated over constantly being railroaded into stuff without even being asked. Need to flesh out more. Takes place after Terapagos.

Human Too: Tone - slice of life, somewhat light hearted but in a dark surrounding setting, little angsty sometimes. (Think story about two people running a happy farm together but their in the middle of an apocalypse sort of thing.) Has a lot of lore to it, but basically some people are born as Pokemon hybrids (no actual pokemon involved in making them) and they get treated really really badly like worse than Pokemon. Additionally Pokemon are a lot harder to catch and come by so battling isn't really a thing and places like Blueberry don't exist. Probably my most out there AU. Florian is part Rockruff.

It's (Not) My Legacy: Tone - Fluctuates. Starts at the beginning of the game so takes a while for Kieran and Florian to meet. Basically the 'battle essence' or something of all of the previous game's player characters are in Florian's mind (I'd say spirits but they're all technically still alive and also separate so idk how I'd call it.) He starts hearing them on his first battle with Nemona on the beach. As a result he knows things he really shouldn't, like types of Pokemon he's never seen before (they don't know anything but educated guesses about 'new' Pokemon though.) Kieran quickly begins to think Florian is cheating somehow and is determined to find out how.

Life, as it Were. : Tone - Fluctuates, mostly light-hearted and sort of slice of life/journey-ish. This particular one explicitly has an OC instead of Florian, but he takes the player character roll. The events of the game play out how I want to right them, and then after that OC and Kiern decide to travel together, going to other regions. In this AU the events of ScarVi happen first, and all other game's stories are shifted to have OC as the focal point. Very self-servicey but also idc.

Mechanical Hearts: Tone - Dark. Florian ended up jumping in the way of Terapagos's blast and is presumed dead. after much studying and convincing on Kieran's part, Kieran and Penny are able to create an AI Florian. The different main characters take this differently, and it results in Kieran basically being isolated in Area Zero with the AI Florian. He had studied in pokemon biology as an excuse to get access to area zero, down there under the guise that he's studying the local Pokemon. AI Florian has none of Florian's memories but most of his personality. It freaks Kieran out sometimes when he does something way too similar to Florian.

My Boyfriend My Boyfriend My Boyfriend: Tone - light. Mostly slice of life with a few heavier scenes scattered around. Basically after some Terapagos shenanigans at the Crystal Pool, it accidentally summons two other versions of Kieran. It's unclear if these are from the same time line, or from alternate realities. One of the summoned Kieran's is from between showing Florian the dreaded den and before the festival, and the other Kieran is from before the champion match but after Florian joined the BB league. Current time line is post-mochi mayhem, with applin being traded and Kieran and Florian being boyfriends.

My Screen My Heart: Tone - Light with a few darker scenes scattered. Florian ends up becoming a streamer under Iono's recommendation, being taken under her wing. With her guide he's able to become largely successful. Someone didn't like that though and ended up attacking him outside of Uva. The academy takes it very seriously and ends up silently transferring Florian to Blueberry. In this AU Kieran knows how to use and navigate the internet and is a huge fan of 'Darkitty' (Florian) he has no idea Florian *is* darkitty. Timeline wise, Florian was able to help out Penny and Arven, but had put his gym challenge on hold after three gym badges, eventually planning on streaming himself making his way up the ranks. He never goes to Kitakami, and the time machine in area zero isn't an issue as it's not as far along yet in this AU.

The Secrets We Keep: Tone- Fluctuates, mostly lighthearted. Has quite a bit of lore tied to it, but the long and short of it is that Kieran's family are secretly Zorua lines, and Florian (only him not is 'mom') is a mew. Neither of them know each other's secrets. They both still train Pokemon but because of the way they were raised neither find it weird. Kieran's family is marginally smarter than regular Zoroark line and might as well be a different species when it comes to their minds.

Un/Lucky: Tone - Dark. Easily the darkest of all my AUs. Deals with imposter syndrome, self harm and thoughts of purposeful death, and even toying with it. Florian is lucky- extremely lucky. To the point that he wins things he even knows he *should* by all means lose. Sometimes he has flashes of losing but he blinks and it's back to before he lost. No matter what he does he wins. It makes him feel bad, not good. Like nothing he does matters. Timeline wise takes place after Mochi Mayhem.

Why Are We Here? : Tone - fluctuates. A PMD AU where Florian is an Eevee and Kieran is a Deino. Typical PMD AU stuff, needing to find out how to get home. Both of them keep their full memories. Has some lore tied to it but needs to be fleshed out more.

All of them are candy apple shipping in some way because I have brain rot lol (I guess except for the OC one? I'll figure that out later idk haha. everyone' Florian's are so different they're basically OCs anyway and Iive for it tbh)

I realized while driving today that the reason I could never finish my stories when I was younger was because I Didn't Know how they ended.

I was processing the only way I knew how, and I couldn't see what the other side would bring.

What happens when everyone you love has turned against you and you make it to the other side and find joy? Do you find joy?

What happens when the people who are meant to protect and love you choose addiction and discord and hate and you survive anyway? Can the version that survives even be called you anymore? Do you cave to the pull of the dark as well?

What happens when you stand against the evils you face and are surrounded with and are expected to comply with and it means breaking off from all you've known?

Is there truly hope on the other side? What could that look like? When you're in the midst of the battle you just hope the battle ends, you don't know how to handle what the ending will bring. You don't know what chaos will be left in victory, you only know your armor is rent and your shield dented and no matter the outcome of this battle, you will be weary.

I couldn't write an ending because I refused to write something that did not end with hope - but I had no hope to give. I knew things would be different - I didn't know but that different would be worse, or if I could survive or thrive in the different.

Dear teenage me:

There is hope. There is new love, new family, renewed faith on the other side of hate. There are mended relationships. There are blistering, festering holes where relationships used to be. But there IS hope. Agony does not win. The battle is over. Another rages. But you know there is hope now.

Ok so this is a hypothetical baseball AU, Bobby focused of course because that’s what I do. My qualifications for reasoning and source of my information: I played softball for a very very long time and have watched baseball for even longer even if it isn’t my favorite sport.

What positions would each boy play? A lot of them are up in the air, but these are the vibes they’re giving:

Bobby - Catcher

Kind of the man in charge on the field, they see everything that’s going on

He’s facing the opposite way of everyone else on the field like he does in the boat

Calls time outs on the field to huddle in the pitchers mound when things aren’t going good, gives pep talks and all that

Don - Pitcher/Second(?)

Pitcher because he’s stroke

Second basemen are either the quiet kid or the obnoxious kid who thinks they’re the shit like come on man you’re at 2nd, you’re arguably one of the worst players in the infield (I can say that because that was me until I switched to outfield the loml)

Joe - Third Base

Third base is a wild place to be, you gotta react on your instincts a lot and you gotta react fast. Theres all kinds of situations a third baseman can be in

One of the hardest working players on the field. They can really make or break your infield

The ball is literally drilled at you sometimes so you have to be tough and Joe is definitely tough

Shorty - Shortstop

Usually one of the best players on the team

Can be pretty hot headed

Shortstops are very confident in themselves and can have a bit of an ego

Stub - First Base

Big guys who don’t move very fast play first. I’m not saying Stub isn’t fast, but he’s def a big guy.

First basemen are usually big power hitters tho like lots of poser behind their bats. He probably hits 4th or 5th in the line up, hits cleanup

Johnny - Center Field (or maybe short??)

I feel like he’s fast but he’s not giving that infield ego vibes to me, you know?

Totally the coach’s kid growing up, like he probably pitched and played shortstop. It’s not uncommon for players who played a position in high school to play outfield in college (I know several)

Gordy - Right Field

Idk it just kinda fits imo

Chuck - 2nd Base (?)/OF

Again he just kinda fits

He’s got that infield ego

Maybe a relief pitcher?

Roger - Left Field/Second(?)

Mostly think he’d play OF, but he’s giving lowkey second or third base vibes. So like maybe whenever a new pitcher goes in Roger takes their place on the infield and Coy goes to the outfield.

There is absolutely zero plot nailed down for this but I have details that I would include if I were to ever write it:

Backstory: Bobby is the one deciding what pitches the pitchers should throw aka calling pitches during games until he messes up and loses them a big game. Ulbrickson decides that’s the last straw and kicks him off the team. In actuality the pitcher didn’t throw the pitch Bobby called or missed his spot and blamed Bobby for it.

The story would be set sometime after Bobby is brought back as the catcher for reason XYZ, why isn’t important rn for this. But Ulbrickson has a stipulation that he’ll be calling pitches, not Bobby. Bobby agrees, but obviously goes off script sometimes.

I want Bobby signaling for a particular pitch as called by Ulbrickson, but uses another sign he made up that tells the pitchers “hey I didn’t come up with this.” And Don shakes off the pitch by shaking his head and Bobby smiles and signals the one that he thinks he should pitch.

I want Bobby in a backwards baseball cap (ofc)

I want Bobby getting into a collision at home plate, definitely a must because I love that hurt/comfort

There's that scene where Baghera, Antoine, and Bad go adventuring out with their kids, and Bad leads the way trying his best to show them good dungeons with useful loot that aren't too hard

They cross a field running, jump into a speedboat and dash through until they spot a structure on the horizon. They loot it, rinse and repeat.

They just raided an outpost, Baghera has just stepped in and is trying to collect the bookshelves inside when she hears one of the eggs outside blowing into a horn, calling for attention. All the while Baghera is feeling overwhelmed. She explains out loud that she feels the others don't realize how poor she really is, how she's got nothing and how she's still discovering so many new biomes and new features that were added recently. She wants to take her time to check it all out properly, she wants to collect building blocks she likes for her house - because Baghera doesn't have a house yet.

This isn't the first time she brings it up on this evening. Since the first time she encountered BBH earlier that day, he has been slowly introducing her to the idea of building a house near him and Pierre. He said so himself to the eggs that he's trying to convince her to do so. At first he asked her if she had anywhere to live, then upon learning she's only got a hole dug on the flank of a hill so far, he told her they needed to get her a house. Then he showed her his place, welcomed her in and showed him everything that could peak her interest :

Here's BBH's storage room, Baghera can have free unlimited access to it. Here's a flower field surrounding the place, it's really pretty isn't it ? Here's the beach house Pierre built on the bank of this cool lake, look how gorgeous it is, she could build the same if she wanted to. Also don't fail to mention there's a nearby lavender field around, Baghera really likes purple right ? Surely she could enjoy the biome enough to decide to settle down over there.

And Baghera's immediate response is to use Pierre's waystone to teleport the gang to her actual place. Actually, she doesn't exactly teleport them to her place, she teleports them to Phil's place first, which is right across the river from where she lives. Because she doesn't have a waystone to herself, because again : She is poor.

She then proceeds to show them around her "house", which is a (yet to be) repurposed dungeon. It's empty so far. BBH notices and remembers it's a dungeon that he had already raided with Dapper a week ago before Baghera found it.

Baghera doesn't have much if anything at all. She started the afternoon with -37 coins and a gapple which she offered to Acau as a welcoming gift. Still she was so happy when she accidentaly discovered that dungeon and loved its aesthetic, even if the loot that was left inside was barely useful, but to her it was all she had.

Back to the pillager outpost, Antoine overhears Baghera mention how exhausted she is and how meeting everyone at spawn earlier has been really draining for her. That's why she usually prefers exploring alone because then she can do it at her own pace without feeling pressured, because what is of interest to her may not be for her adventuring partners.

Antoine immidiately tries to reassure her the best he can, tells her that she can take all her time and shouldn't hurry for them, that they will wait for her. Baghera apologizes. While BBH is wondering what they're doing, Dapper goes up the tower to check on them, Antoine asks them to wait for them as they are taking their time. Baghera apologizes. When alone with her again she explains that it bothers her to not be able to take breaks and go at her own pace, but she blames herself for it because she accepted to go exploring in group and obviously even if Antoine and Bad keep telling her that they understand and try to make her feel the most at ease, and giving her food and gear. Well anyone would still feel pressured because making the others wait all the time might become boring for the rest of the group whether they say they're okay with it or not. At some point Baghera explains to Bad that she isn't feeling so hot, when she turns around he is 30 ft further ; something caught his attention and he wanted to check it out briefly. She comes up to him again and tell him she needs to get sugar because she is feeling dizzy, she insists that they shouldn't wait for her. Once she comes back, she tells the group that she wants to part ways and go back to building her house. Right on queue, Bad reminds her that she is the most welcome if she wants to come live near his place. Baghera still doesn't explicitely agree nor disagree with the idea, she only says she wants to build because that's what she enjoys doing. Right after, the group catch her up on what they were doing while she was afk : They're about to go raid this very dangerous sky dungeon, and Bad invites Baghera to join them. She iterates that sadly she will not, but Bad who's attention was caught by Dapper, has already ran off to listen to his child. Pomme and Antoine tell her it's okay, but then Bad rushes back towards them to excitedly show them what cool shenanigan Dapper is up to. Baghera bids them goodbye and Bad seems both surprised and disappointed to hear she's leaving now. As she is walking away, Antoine once again whispers to Bad that she was feeling real tired to which the latest answers he completely understands.

It's not so relevant of a moment lore-wise, but I've still been thinking about it a lot because I'm usually really into these kinds of small interactions that are still loud because of everyone's points of views ? Baghera's been there for 3 days and she still hasn't properly brought up to anyone what happened to her during Purgatory - she is not doing fine (I'm not going to go in depth because I'd have to slap a big ol trigger warning but her reaction to reading Pomme's and Richas' signs kicked me in the guts with the strenght of a 3T truck). And meanwhile BBH is this close to kick the bucket too and there's all his motivations that push him to surround himself with people when he would previously be paranoid about inviting anyone to his old base (and none of the french-speakers knew back then). Antoine is just vibing good for him (this was his last qsmp stream too lmao pretend i'm not crying rn /hj)

But it's one of those cases where everything was set up perfectly for it (Pomme was literally jumping with excitement at the idea of two more of her parents getting to live near) but it simply wasn't meant to happen -at least not that day-
