is there anything that compares to the pain of finding a new kpop girl group that embraces and discusses the queer coding in their mvs, watching said mvs, and THEN discovering that the group quietly disbanded earlier this year

Are you leaving? Yes. What about Kim? Kim Jehyeok decided to play baseball again. What are you doing? Run over.

I just realised why this new side of Jang Uk feels so familiar: he has basically the same grumpy expression of Baek Kyung in Extra-ordinary you😅 which, btw, I didn't really liked because of how he treated Eun Danoh
But I have to say that grumpy looks so good on Lee Jaewook

ah they just had the fiancee cheat with arguably the slimiest character in the show to try and balance out the leads finally kissing, all of a sudden spells aren't real and the curse is entirely forgotten they're solving everything with lazy ass writing okay
#don't get me wrong - shinyu trying to leave hongjo alone while desperately yearning being protective and playfully possessive/jealous#only to kiss her when he's so overcome with accepting his (and realizing her) truth SHOULD be delicious#and yet... once my bi heart looks past the chemistry/visuals... 😐#destined with you#also implicating hongjo as stealing 2nd fl's man twice for so long and having her slapped - make it make sense pls#like yes she's lonely immature and being wooed made her feel good inside but she never encouraged shinyu's behavior#hasn't even figured out she doesn't like jae kyung or whatever anymore for herself#technically shinyu's feelings aren't her responsibility esp w/o magic but the show's premise rn makes her the 'other woman' to blame#we're in the middle of things unravelling but i s2g if she doesn't have agency or a modicum or self respect/honesty in the next eps.. 🤦🏾‍♀️#but going back to the post - the show could have justified shinyu's breakup with the fact that he wasn't invested from the beginning#or that 2nd fl is a two faced bully and show that forcing relationships bc of status/attraction/history/family pressure ends poorly#but instead it's taking a female character who would be justifiably upset and vilifying her so that her pain seems deserved#she's already unlikable and pitiful (there's like only two women in this entire show portrayed positively) but no#let's make her as 2d & evil as possible to uplift hongjo instead of putting in work to develop the lead/story & appeal to the audience#writers prove me wrong challenge

Revenant is soooo mid which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the actors and writer (this isn’t a flop like Jirisan, which I gave up on after 2–3 episodes, but it’s not really good). BUT. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m suffering from “poor little meow meow middle-aged man” deficiency and Professor Yeom Haesang suffers so much. I can’t believe I was like “Oh...okay” about his casting because I’m planting my palms against his windows, peering at him in his little cage and being fed because he’s had the worst life ever and it keeps getting worse. HAESANG *____*<3
#why are we not talking about him more on reddit/twitter/tumblr and why are there not enough gifs and pics of him breaking down#or looking slutty in his all black ensembles complete with a turtleneck#watch as this man's life continues to deteriorate! ep. 7 and 8 provided such rich sustenance for me#a simp for ajusshideul who are miserable#he's so small and sad and he can't catch a break#yeah okay hongsae is great too and he's a cutie but LOOK AT THIS 40-YEAR-OLD MAN!#technically i wouldn't even count that as MIDDLE age middle-aged but his actor is 46 so whatever#in all seriousness revenant exasperates me a little because you can see how it can be good#especially because there's a frame of reference to base that hypothesis on: signal. lol.#signal wasn't without its flaws but the characters and relationships actually had development and the main partnerships were intense#and the tension was high throughout#revenant is the same thing every episode pretty much#the first three episodes were pretty to really good and i loved the setup#and you have kim taeri hong kyung and oh jungsae and they're great actors#but the directing and writing aren't serving them well and you can see the drop in quality from the beginning to now tbh#there's only so much they can do if they're not being given enough from both#though the little bits that are good are the reason i'm sticking around to the end lol. that and haesang i'm going to be real#like haesang and sanyoung's relationship needed to be parallel soohyun and haeyoung's in a way in terms of how much#they grow to rely on each other and care for each other but we don't really get that

I simply adore this Choi Hyun Wook interview, it shows he had lots of thoughts on soo ho's invisible emotions and his relationship with beom seok.
Soo Ho actually cares about Beom Seok until the end and I'm wallowing in pain.
Tumblr media
Q. While acting Soo Ho, what was the most difficult part ?
"Choi Hyun Wook : His approach/process of how he handles beom seok. I thought there was a very thin line where it could be interpreted like soo ho discriminate beom seok. From beom seok point of view, there's possiblity of misunderstanding because he might not have seen soo ho's sincerity, but I wished to show the side of soo ho who tried to understand his friend to not lose him. I could clearly understand soo ho's emotions as he tried to hold into beom seok to not lose him."
Tumblr media
Q. The scene where we could see those emotions the most was when he apologized to beom seok.
"Choi Hyun Wook: i cried because of this scene. Even when reading the script i cried a lot. Despite the fact that beom seok hurt si eun, it was an apology that showed he couldn't let go of any string until the end, seeing beom seok stray hurt my heart a lot. Soo ho calls beom seok's name often. Even when beom seok cut the line [in the cafeteria he says "get in line, beom seok"], in the beginning there was no line of him calling beom seok's name. But while staring into (Hong) Kyung hyung's eyes, I saw him as beom seok, and that's how I came to say him name. Whether it love/hate or affection, I couldn't help feeling this foreign emotion from soo ho. That's how i came to call beom seok name a lot."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Q. How was it working with actors Park Ji Hoon and Hong Kyung.
"Choi Hyun Wook: I really liked it. While working with them, they dragged a lot of emotions out of me, and it became really intense. We were sincere to each other while filming and worked hard. The process of seeing them succeeding at acting what they thoroughly prepared seemed firm. And after the drama was released, I was in admiration as i could see the scenes where i was absent on the set, coming out of the screen. (Hong) Kyung hyung doesn't show a lot of changes in his expression, but he managed to make us feel all his past through the way he expressed them. He's a delicate actor. It was the first time I had the experience of acting unconsciously while working with Kyung-i hyung. I fell into that person so much. Kyung-i hyung have that charm."

@horrorface burnt an offering: [ corner ]   danny cornering mi.
Tumblr media
【 the ghostface inflicts wild panic to any trial, though mi's panic tends to leave her utterly blind. he stabbed her--obviously--but after that? she hadn't been chased, whether she left too quickly or simply wasn't the priority, she did not know. how long had she been playing null-and-mouse? has she always been this much of an idiot? the adrenaline wears off--
mi is readily welcomed by the dirt below. it hurts. her stomach. why did this feel so much worse? alone, crumpled on the ground like a half-dead bug? is that all she is? will she die as one, too?
she isn't sure how much time has past when the ghostface finds her still on the ground. mi knew he would. the trail of blood she left draped across the stairs leading to the basement was surely a generous gift. not-so-generous was that one of her greedy "teammates" already took the only medkit stored in the basement. the entire reason she made the agonizing crawl down here. so, she leans against an empty crate, watching as her body pours out more blood than the human body should realistically has. this place sucks.
❝  . . . can you, just . . . get it over with . . . ? ❞ 】

A tribute to one of my most favourite villains to grace a Kdrama. This playlist is about dark pasts, moral dilemmas, toxic relationships, PLUS the redemption arc we never got, in which Hajoon is saved and relearns how to live with the Rainbow Taxi crew 🍻

Honestly I’m very optimistic about Do Il and In Ju. I think they will end up meeting again solely bcus she didn’t know she had that kind of money to come with him. BUT he knew that already which is why he said lets meet again
