It’s hilarious how people think that people of color or gay people make something “political” while actual politics soar over their heads but gotta say, I have not heard one peep about the fact that God of War:Ragnarok has a whole storyline about Odin’s economic imperialism of the dwarves featuring predatory pricing schemes, enforced presenteeism, literally mining a living creature for oil, and Kratos destroying factories.

Personally, my least favorite is Ragnarok, I soured quite a bit towards that game over the last year (actually quit my second playthrough not too long ago).
There's... a lot I don't like about it; the writing is weaker compared to 2018's story (tho there are some moments that shine!); Atreus's sections (there's too many, they're too long, and they disrupt the flow of the game/story for me ;; ); the actual battle of Ragnarok, despite the build-up, was kind of lame; companion characters not shutting up when I'm trying to figure out puzzles (I would literally mute my TV just so I could do them).
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time with Ragnarok, it was a good game! It's just not my favorite like I thought it was at first, haha ;;

Since you are into mythology, have you ever peeked at the (2018) God of War stuff? It's definitely a more mature(as in developed not gorefest) take than the older games. Very character driven stories with a strong adherence to the actual myths while still having some breathing room and originality.
The second game (God of War:Ragnarok) even has some healthy shipping potential. 😂
Nah, I just can't get into that style of games.

Watching a god of war:ragnarok playthrough, and there’s smth off about how they sculpted/animated freya that bothers me.
Her features are too… human? Too real? Too… pretty?
Like her proportions, specifically in the face, are so different from the other characters. Like kratos and thor are all scraggly, with pores and scars and wrinkles, larger noses and beaten in faces.
But freya is just… pretty. So much so that it is actually very strange compared to other characters

John Wick...the Video Game?
With the upcoming fourth iteration of John Wick, which will likely be another awesome event, there has been recent discussions of a possible video game based on John Wick by the CEO of Lionsgate. While not a gamer myself, this would be a great decision, capitalizing on the popularity of the series and allowing fans the dream of representing Wick in action. In fact, there are some clips already on YouTube of John Wick in the Unreal Engine 5 world.
youtube
The question I have is what type of game could they incorporate? A simple adaptation of the movies seems a bit obvious and underwhelming, so what could they make instead? Unquestionably it has to be an open world style, possibly in the guise of Grand Theft Auto or more likely, Red Dead Redemption, allowing side quests to accomplish alongside the main gameplay.
You’d have to include three different types of gameplay, which would cover the three main parts of John Wick’s appeal:
Car chases
Gunplay
Hand-to-hand combat
The style could be akin to the most recent iterations of God of War and God of War:Ragnarok, a one-shot camera that follows the protagonist as they travel the world, mixing between distance attacks (gunplay) and hand-to-hand combat, while using the horse riding of Red Dead Redemption to replicate the car chases for Wick.
But what would the story be? Personally, I feel the perfect choice would be based on a scene from the first movie:
youtube
A masterclass scene that introduces the mythos of who John Wick is and why you should be terrified. I personally would have the opening of the game feature Wick undertaking a hit (which can count as a training sequence getting you used to the guns and combat system), with Wick afterwards meeting his girlfriend Helen and deciding he needs to leave the business.
Based in New York City, you could have Viggo Tarasov as the leader of the Russian Mafia based in Manhattan but the weakest of Five Families, and Wick is given the task of eliminating the other four families, to allow the Russian Mafia to take over New York City completely.  Each family could have their own borough, working through The Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens as you battle through each families mob and eventually kill the leader of each family.
As you kill enemies, you can earn new gold coins that you can use in a Continental Hotel (one based in each borough) to upgrade weapons, outfit and contacts, meeting a different Sommelier in each one, cameos from Winston, John Lequizamo’s Aurelio (when upgrading vehicles) and other assassins from the movies. As you take over different areas of the five boroughs, the reputation for the Russian Mafia builds up, with the aim to reach 100%.
The option of variety in antagonist you can have, the different guns and vehicles, but more than anything, the possible size of this world could be amazing. New York City has a square mile of 302.6 miles, There are only twelve games supposedly bigger as of 2022, which includes Just Cause 3, Final Fantasy XV, The Elder Scrolls II and No Man’s Sky. I for one would love to see this game.
What about you, any thoughts, things you’d like to see, ideas you’d incorporate?

tagged by: @silvergifting Thank you! I've never done one of these before!
favorite time of the year: Autumn! It's literally so pretty, THE VIBES, Halloween and when everybody starts selling the drinks I like. I can also begin hibernation. 11/10
comfort food: My mom has this recipe for these frozen no-bake Buffalo-chip cookies and they are chocolatey goodness.
favorite drinks: Orange Juice/Orang Julius (anything with citrus really)
do you collect anything?: [glances at my shelves] Definitely not books... Various Office supplies? (I type this at my desk that is drowning under the assorted tools for the five projects I have going on all at once rn😅) All jokes aside my personal goal in life since I was four was to have my own library in my house. So I have books. Many more books than I (currently) have space for them. Yes, I blame Disney's Beauty and the Beast for this.
Seriously tho, I can only put my shelves in one corner of my room so lemme show you how bad this is getting:

It is so hard to write digitally omg T-T
current song on repeat: I finished watching Jackcepticeye's playthrough of the latest Dark Pictures anthology so "O Death" the ending credits version for The Devil in Me has been on repeat constantly for the past 4 days. (also the soundtrack for God of War:Ragnarok, STUNNING) (also Blood on the Snow by Hozier is amazing)
favorite fic: I don't read a lot of fanfiction so I can't really give an answer. (feel free to give recs!) Red from Overly Sarcastic Productions had a charity livestream read of My Immortal that I really enjoyed and StrangeAeons is planning on doing one too so I'm looking forward to that.
favorite video game: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild! I can loose SO many hours to that game lol

3 Games to Look Forward to in 2022
3 Games to Look Forward to in 2022
An image created for the game “Stray” Recently the video game “Stray” was released. In the game Stray, the player explores a cyberpunk city as a cat in the future. Stray received critical success in both sales, and in building fan enthusiasm even before the game was released. The game quickly reached the number one spot for sales on Steam. Though I (sadly) have not had a chance to play Stray…
