"why wouldn't you want kids 🥺" today i had the day off so i finally caught up on some much-needed sleep and got up at 11am, set up my february bujo, journalled and had a long, drawn-out breakfast. i read for an hour, slowly got ready, and went to an exhibition about women in art history (which was excellent), then grabbed another coffee and a snack, and went to my cardio class. i got ramen on my way home for dinner, took a long, hot shower, and now I'm going to write for an hour or two before snuggling into bed to read silly lil fic for another two hours or three. go on, do ask me again

I am only a sidelines appreciater of Sonadow, but holy fuck is Sonic Prime just going all out with the Sonadow content.
Shadow nearly dying and Sonic saving him? Check. Sonic and Shadow fighting side by side? Check. Shadow saving Sonic's life? Check. Goofy banter back and forth? Check, check, check. Them fighting together AGAIN? Big old check. Shadow running full speed with a DYING SONIC literally in his fucking arms? Yeah, there's hundreds of fanfics with that premise, I can guarantee it.
Holy crap Sonadow fans, you guys are eating WELL with this show.

Buck really is the “overinvested ally to later-in-life bisexual pipeline” representation that so many of you were looking for, huh?

ALL HAIL OLIVIA'S RED SONGS. And the fact I don't have to find weird google drive files and podcasts to listen to the bonus tracks.
Also what a win for white girl music, Hozier's EP, the limited editions of ttpd back in stock and guts deluxe.

Broke: John and Deputy living on a ranch. Having kids. John being stripped of everything that makes him interesting for the sake of being a booktok white guy.
Woke: John x Deputy could never function in normal society. They are two people so engrossed in their own need for violence that any semblance of a relationship between them can only exist within the snow globe that is Hope County during the Reaping.
They despise and want each other so much that they're caught between killing and worshipping. The NEED to punish the other throbs so harshly between them, and yet no one understands one quite like the other. No one gets them like they do. They're parallels. They're mirrors of one another.
There is an undeniable chemistry, a persistent connection that shines through the threats, the beatings, the kidnappings, etc. The acknowledgement exists only in lingering looks. The breathlessness John can't help when he's inches away from Dep. The way he smiles at them when he doesn't think about performing as the 'Baptist'.
The idea of "I know your sin intimately" from John, seeing this woman/man seethe with the same wrath he's projecting onto them and wanting to redeem them. Because then he too can be redeemed. And maybe because only through redemption can his desire for them be justified. Be appropriate in big brother's eyes.
They're salvation and damnation. They're the road to redemption and yet they constantly tempt him to sin. And John is a weak man who gives in one moment and pretends to stand on the high ground the next.
The deputy always remains on that high ground. Acting as the saviour. The hero. Even when covered in the blood of people who are also Joseph's victims. John calls them out, they don't need to kill that many people. That much blood didn't need to be spilled. But they've got the excuse, the justification made up in their head, so why not? But they're no better than the man they claim is a monster.
And the idea they act on those desire in secret? Away from the eyes of Joseph and the Resistance? Like some gross twisted, religiously traumatised version of Romeo and Juliet!? THAT'S THE SHIT
