November’s PSA - Beginning of vol. 25!

Looks like we’re going to have the classical release this month! No early date, a long-ass weekend and spoilers dropping two days before the Japanese release. If you’ve been waiting for all October to have the starting chapter of vol. 25, stay with us for a good week.

Last month paused the story at two important points: Reiner and Eren meeting in the basement and Willy revealing his play. Naturally, it can’t be a coincidence, and the volume will open on what both will have to say. That might be the theme of the volume even, and brought up right at the end.

Volume 23 opened on the perspective of Gabi’s promotion and ended on young Reiner’s perspective and ambitions. Volume 24 opened with Zeke’s plan and Reiner’s flashback on Paradis, before ending up on the festival in Liberio and Eren meeting Reiner. First chapters aren’t usually that entertaining, but once the story expands, they make sense.

I suppose half of the chapter will be worldbuilding, Tybur-style, and the other half will be Eren incredibly vague, Reiner being abnormally distressed and Falco wondering what the fuck is going on. I’m more intrigued by Eren handling their meeting, but in any case, nothing good will go out of his mouth.

EDIT: Isayama gave the manuscript to his editor (Oct. 31st, 2017). Chapter will be out the 9th in Japan (8th in the west), as usual.

erwin smith:

erwin has the loudest fucking sneezes, like you jump out of your skin when he does it.

definitely texts with proper grammar and punctuation. never used an emoji in his life.

eats pizza with a knife and fork.

don’t ask him to take a picture of you. it will be blurry and his finger will be in the frame (why do all my headcanons make him sound like a grandpa lmao.)

doesn’t have spotify/apple music because he still listens to cds!! he’s got a massive collection of them hoarded in his house and car (don’t you dare put a cd in the wrong case unless you want to feel his wrath.)

levi ackerman:

he has every group chat he’s ever been invited to on mute. would only ever open them just to get rid of the notification bubble.

talks to children and babies like fully grown adults.

wears headphones even if he isn’t listening to music so strangers don’t disturb him.

levi’s also the master of untangling headphones, or anything that needs untangling for that matter (he’s petra’s go-to necklace untangler.)

paints his nails black and wears a few rings on each hand “because it will hurt more if i ever need to punch someone.” (“okay but the nail varnish??” “oh that’s just because i think it looks hot.”)

hange zoe:

never shuts up about conspiracy theories - even if they don’t believe them they’ll spend hours watching videos about them on youtube (“moblit did you know that beyoncé is part of the illuminati-” “go to sleep hange it’s 3am.”)

is double jointed and isn’t afraid to show people at the strangest of times (“hange no one at the store wants to see how you can twist your body into a pretzel!”)

refuses to go to a doctor unless they’re on the brink of death. not to mention they’re the most accident prone person on this planet (moblit suggested that they wrap them self in bubble wrap - they actually did it much to his dismay.)

has three cats with really human names if that makes sense?? probably called phil, sandra and dave.

will only eat cereal at night. they will refuse it for breakfast but will eat 3 bowls between 9pm and 11pm.

mike zacharias:

i saw this drawing once of mike doing woodwork and i have come to the conclusion that yes, he is a DIY husband! he makes gifts out of wood for his friends but he will also put together your IKEA furniture, fix your boiler and put up that shelf you’ve been meaning to put up for 8 months. he’s just the best.

go-to person if you ever can’t open a can or a lid. mike is undefeated when it comes to opening things.

he and erwin definitely got drunk and dressed up in drag (petra did the makeup and nanaba has pictures.)

cracks his knuckles like 5 times a day. if you ask him he’ll crack your knuckles for you.

is the person who will ask what drinks people want and make them for everyone (he’s a sweetheart.)

moblit berner:

definitely has a karaoke sesh every time he’s in the shower. hange has secretly recorded for blackmail purposes.

is that person who locks their car doors twice for good measure.

bought a pregnancy pillow because he likes to be comfy.

took a first aid course because he was sick and tired of hange burning them self every time they cooked dinner.

mixed a bunch of spirits together once and called it his ‘cocktail of death.’ he had to get his stomach pumped the very same night.

nanaba:

get her to braid your hair, she’s amazing at it. she can do really cool french braids and fish braids and it looks so pretty !!

definitely the ‘mom’ friend. always the designated driver (okay but imagine nanaba having to put up with a drunk erwin and mike that’s so funny - “erwin did i ever tell you that i fucking love you so much?” “oh mike, buddy, i love you too.” “okay lovebirds it’s time for bed.” )

bakes a lot and makes the best fucking brownies and cakes ever. every weekend she will bake and bring whatever she makes into work on monday and everyone loves her for it.

can fall asleep anywhere. mike once found her asleep on the floor next to her bed because she was too tired to get into the bed itself.

has a knack for interior design. knows what looks good and what matches. her house looks like an IKEA showroom.

petra ral:

okay but why can i see petra going to zumba twice a week?

snorts when she laughs. she’s also got that kinda laugh that makes you laugh yourself so you just spend 10 minutes laughing for no reason.

wears cute dangly earrings all the time. always got the perfect manicure too (”just in case i need to scratch oluo’s eyes out for looking at my ass for the tenth time today.”)

you know when you walk past a stranger and get a whiff of their scent and it’s like, really nice? yeah, petra is that stranger.

organises the birthday cards and secret santa for her friends and workplace every year.

oluo bozado:

probably drives just over the speed limit because he thinks he’s cool (until he gets pulled over and given a ticket lmao.)

drenches every meal in mayonnaise. doesn’t season his meat either (disgusting.)

won’t open doors for people unless he thinks they’re attractive.

obnoxiously yawns loudly and probably chews with his mouth open (apologies to oluo fans, i just see him as being super fucking annoying ahahah.)

cuts the crusts off his sandwiches. also refuses to eat the crust on pizza.

gunther schultz:

made an instagram for his dogs. doesn’t even have a personal instagram, he just wants the world to see how cute his dogs are.

if you’re on a roadtrip, pass gunther the aux cord, he’s got the best taste in music.

always wins card games - from poker to UNO, he will always win.

has loads of old gaming consoles for nostalgia purposes. he is unbeatable on smash bros and mario kart, don’t even attempt to challenge him - you will lose.

such a good cheesy party dancer. pulls out the moonwalk and the robot every time.

always wearing plaid?? does he own anything else? We will never know.

gives everyone head pats and fist bumps.

will do that really annoying thing where he goes ‘what’s that on your shirt’ so you look down and he flicks your face with his finger.

if anyone ever asks him to do something, he responds with ‘yes chef’ (and on that note, watches loads of gordon ramsey. quotes him at least 6 times a day - including calling oluo an ‘idiot sandwich.’)

540 Local Elected Officials From All 50 States Urge Prez Trump to Import More Refugees to U.S.

Joe Biden has promised to make this happen, including taking in foreigners from terrorist hotspots around the world. In fact, Joe Biden was one of the original architects of the fraud-ridden refugee program that has destroyed neighborhoods across the U.S.

I told you here that the refugee industry was working on a letter to the President urging him to get the refugee flow into America moving again.

Yesterday they sent the letter with 540 signatories.

Says Amnesty International:

By signing this letter, these elected officials have joined together to voice their commitment to welcoming refugees in their communities and reviving the United States’ legacy as a leader in refugee resettlement.

I notice something missing from the letter. It avoids giving the President a number, but the industry has made it very clear!

They want 95,000 refugees to begin arriving on October first.

The President could make a decision this month on how many refugees might be invited to live in the US in FY2021. He could also legally set the ceiling at zero.

I don’t know why the organizers think that these open borders advocates will hold any sway with the President, but they sure make it handy for you to identify the other side where you live. Target them for retirement when they come up for re-election!

The weight of the world

Lately I have been reading “ordering your private world” by a Christian pastor/author named Gordon Macdonald. He has been a very influential writer to me. 

The basic idea of this book is that people want to be more organized in their life, but the private, inner life is what really needs organization, as it upholds the outer, public life.

What is the outer public life? Knowledge, our experiences, our attractiveness or strength, stuff like that. They are the things you get the most praise for and people notice the most and if you stop doing it or limit it you get the biggest kickback from. It’s what we put the most focus on and what we cave to all the time.

What is the inner private life? It is the choices, the values, stuff like that. When we rest our spirits, why we do what we do (our inner motives), it is the things that we are too busy to do but that we should do anyways: the prayers, the bible study, the personal developments. Things that people don’t really care if you skip because it doesn’t really affect them. And you will be tempted to skip doing them too, because they are not as loud when you ignore them as the public things are. It’s easy to forget to read the bible, but if you forget to do the dishes all hell breaks loose.

And pastors are some of the biggest examples of this - I say AS a pastor. We get so busy trying to help people we forget trying to help ourselves. We never switch off. We never get any real friends because people only take from us, and we are scared to let people in because they could use stuff against us and betray us. We hold the weight of the church on our shoulders and we can’t even talk to other pastors - the only people who know what we are going through - because pastors have this stupid “competition mindset” and we always think that we are right about everything.

Don’t assume that a publically active life means a privately spiritual life. Consider Ravi Zacharias, a very well known christian apologist who apparently was living a double life. He had no accountability or checks in place. He failed to grow personally. He was always too busy in his public roles. You work yourself to death as a minister, and then fail because you allowed yourself to be put on a pedestal. You thought it all fell on you. Pastors forget to seek God because they get caught up in the DOING part of ministry. But it’s the inner man that props up the outer man. 

Let me give you an example as a worship leader: you can worship with words or in integrity/truth. Something you mean or something you feel. A song that you sing or a song that expresses the inner depths of yourself.

Why do I bring up the struggles and disasters of pastoring? Because it is something we all do. You want your house to look better, you like when people compliment your yard. or tell you how good of a job you did, and we think that if we just keep working and perfecting our outer world that everything will be great. But our inner person wilts, and then the weight of the public life is heaped on it and all that is left is ruin, burnout, a person with no integrity. Put your private world in order. Set your hope fully on God. You won’t get the same praise, but a well-ordered private life is a reward of quality of life. Even if you are successful, but that success is put on a poor foundation it won’t last.
