Here are some older ocs of mine that ive revamped;

A gang leader grasshopper who’s since “fallen from glory” along with his two lackeys (aka nosy friends)

And a solitary ant whos got a vendetta against his former colony

I hooooope to write some panels for this!! The storyline pulls inspo from the movie (obviously) but with more plays on power dynamics to a more in-depth level (society am i right guys)

and lastly, a wip of a humanized scene with the best clowns around <3

Sure, but are you okay with a locust instead of a regular grasshopper. I was originally going to make them a guy but I decided to make them non-binary.

They are a hooded grasshopper (teratodes monticollis) as in both their species name and their appearance. They live in a small village and love to collect moss balls and mushrooms.

I also just like the idea of him having a love interest in general... But just imagine how wacky it would be for your husband to be a famous scientist, but he has another person he turns into and the shenanigans that ensue.

Love to imagine different kinds of shenanigans that results in, I gotta balance the angst intake somehow after all (one moment you're going to bed embraced by your sweet, gentle husband and the next his second personality is draped across you with his booze breath all up in your face)

Something about the way you phrased this reminds me of one of those obscure 90s/00s family feature films (imagine J&H being something like "Honey, I've split my soul!" kinda thing lmao)

LORE DUMP:

So in my AU both of Jekyll's selves fall for Vivi. Jekyll because they share a lot of scientific interests and their vibes just match (Jekyll is a little excentric and bold once he opens up and she happens to be into that lol), Hyde because "she has both fine gams and a fine attitude to match".

Both alas, have agreed amongst themselves that she could never truly love all of Henry, no matter how much suggested evidence could pinpoint otherwise. Hyde is obviously bitter about this, his interactions with her being elusive at best and snappy at worst. He just grits his teeth and gets through it for the sake of his other self because he knows her complete absence would be the worse alternative in their book. But he still sees the look of unease and disbelief she gives him behind his back. Henry and him know she dislikes him greatly, they just do. He occasionally snaps at his other, much more "beloved" self due to all this, they still haven't given it the discussion it deserves.

All she knows is that he's a trusted assistant, free to roam the house and adjacent lab and apparently very, VERY close to her husband. That's all he's ever been willing to disclose.

However, coming clear about their whole deal to their increasingly suspicious and investigative wife is completely out of the question. They're too far in this hole they've dug for themselves, they can only continue digging.

Anyway it's like 2AM, perhaps I'm barely making any sense now lol. I have a lot to say about these peeps™ but I don't wanna cramp ALL of it at once into this textpost.

I will however add that I blame @rye-kin for putting this worm into my brain that has now grown enough for me to make my own married AU, that has given me a lot of delight indeed óvò
