I actually hate that cristina’s most famous and most used quote from the series was one that didn’t have anything to do with her, it was about Meredith and Derek. I’ll admit that it does encapsulate her a little bit, to the point of a lot of her core principles, and values, but then to that point, it’s actually quite ironic that her quote — the one about not letting men, or any relationships eclipse what really mattered to her ( surgery, and her career) was a quote that was captured in a moment where she was not applying said quote to herself, not relating. just giving her best friend advice about her boyfriend (or maybe husband at that point??) nothing at all about her, or her career. idk anyway

Still not a big fan of the ending (felt it was a bit arrupt and overall not a very good one imo) but its still a solid re read! just recently reread this!

Derek and Addison had a daughter early in their relationship forcing them to split attention between their education, their careers and their family. They never realized that 14 years later they’d be in a struggling marriage with a daughter who wants nothing to do with them and a son who is too young to understand what was going on [Addison M., Derek S.] OC 

Just found this in my bookmarks. I didn’t really like the ending but overall it’s a good fic.
