The bright sun shone through the large windows of the waiting room at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as you paced nervously in the waiting room. The thought of the upcoming check-up with Dr. Addison Montgomery made your heart beat faster even though you repeated this year after year. Despite your fears, you knew it was important to get regular checkups, especially after you noticed some unusual symptoms.
When you were finally called, you followed the nurse through the corridors of the gynecological clinic until you finally stood in front of the door to the treatment room. Once inside, Dr. Montgomery greeted you with a warm smile. "Welcome back, y/n. How are you today?"
You forced a smile, concern for your health and life's obstacles overshadowing your usual demeanor. "Thanks, I'm feeling okay so far. I'm here for a checkup because I've noticed a few symptoms that are worrying me."
Addison nodded understandingly and asked you to take a seat. However, as she began to ask the usual questions, she immediately noticed that something was wrong. Your posture was stiff, your answers were short, and you seemed uncomfortable. Quite the opposite from the last times she had seen you. "Can you tell me about the symptoms you've been noticing lately?" She asked softly and you hesitated for a moment before answering. "Well, I have unusual pulling and pressure in my abdomen. I feel very tired in general but I think that's probably just normal."
The redhead frowned slightly as she began to do the examination. When she gestured with her hand to ask you to sit on the exam chair, you flinched and promptly avoided making eye contact with her. "I´m sorry..." you simply interjected and as you continued to sit on the chair, Addison felt an inexplicable restlessness arise within her.
She watched you carefully as she took swabs and checked to see what was going on. As she did so, she recognized subtle signs of fear and insecurity manifesting in your behavior that she had never seen in you before. It was as if there was something in the air, something unspoken, standing between them and demanding their attention. She could practically feel the tension surrounding you, and her instincts told her that there was more going on here than what seemed like a checkup.
After she had also completed an ultrasound on you, Addison sat down on the lounger next to you and quickly decided to ask carefully. "I want to be honest with you. I noticed some signs during the exams that could indicate something might be wrong. I think it might be helpful if you talked about it." She murmured questioningly, placing a soothing hand on your thigh, making you jump at the touch as well.
You looked at her in surprise, your eyes fixed on her with relief. But only hesitantly did you begin to talk about your concerns, which went far beyond the physical symptoms. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" The person you spoke to nodded at you, giving you time to express yourself. She sensed that there was more here than your body had yet revealed, and she wanted to give you the opportunity to open up when you were ready. "I'm your doctor, y/n. Everything you tell me is confidential."
You swallowed hard before finally finding the courage to say the words you had suppressed for so long. "It's my father," you began hesitantly and the gynecologist listened attentively without interrupting. "Since the pandemic and losing his job, he's... he's not exactly... friendly to me."
The reticence and fear had crumbled as you revealed the truth about your home situation to her. You confessed to the constant insults, humiliation and physical abuse you endured from your father and Addison continued to listen intently, offering you an empathetic embrace of comfort and support as you revealed the painful details of your abuse.
When you finished, an oppressive silence fell across the room. Addison felt the weight of your words on her own shoulders. She felt powerless in the face of the suffering you had to endure at such a young age, an inner anger boiling up towards your parents and at the same time a burning desire deep inside her to help you. "Thank you, y/n, for trusting me," she finally spoke in a quiet voice and rubbed your shoulder reassuringly. This time you didn't flinch. "What has been done to you and continues to happen to you is unacceptable and you deserve to be safe and protected. I will do everything in my power to help you get out of this situation."
The shock of what she had heard was deep within her, but she forced herself to remain calm and empathetic. Her first priority was to reassure you that you were safe and that she would help you. She hugged you gently and held you close to her, giving your tears a place to disappear. "Please believe me when I say that you are safe here," she began to speak to you calmly. "No one will hurt you in front of me and if it happens again, you come straight to me, okay?"
You lowered your gaze, tears glistening in your eyes as you let yourself fall into her embrace, feeling the instant warmth and comfort she offered you. For a moment you felt safe, surrounded by the care of this remarkable woman who was willing to stand up for you. “Thank you, Dr. Montgomery,” you whispered, your voice shaking. "It means so much to me to know I'm not alone."
Addison smiled softly and rubbed your back. "From now on it's Addison. I think we're past the formal part. And of course, I'll help you through the difficult times, and I'll be by your side as long as you need me."
At that moment, you knew you had made the right decision to reach out to her. You felt strengthened by her words and beneath all the vulnerability you showed there was also a spark of hope. Hope that you weren't alone, that there were people who cared about you and were ready to help you when you needed it. You felt relieved that you had confided in someone, and Addison promised to support you every step of the way, whether through further testing, therapy, or any other form of police or court help you needed.
As you left the office, you felt a little more confident with her personal phone number and address. Addison Montgomery, who promised to protect you if your father became abusive again and you needed a place to stay. You knew that from now on you were no longer alone but had found an ally in her in the fight against the darkness that surrounded you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the weeks that followed, Addison Montgomery and you developed a deep bond that went beyond the boundaries of an ordinary doctor-patient relationship. She had given you her personal address and phone number in case you ever had to run away from home and didn't know where to go. The gesture of care had touched you deeply and shown you that you were not just a patient, but now also had a friendship that you could rely on.
The conversations between the two of you became more and more open and intimate as you worked together to come up with a plan to get yourself out of the dangerous situation you found yourself in. And one Saturday morning, after you had escaped from your father's attacks and came to her, Addison offered to take you in and give you a safe haven, away from your parents' abuse and humiliation.
At first you were unsure whether you should accept the offer. The fear of the unknown, the worry of the consequences, and the fear of becoming too much for Addison held you back. But in the end, your trust, the hope for a better life and the love that she conveyed to you every day prevailed.
At midnight on that same warm spring night, you packed your few belongings and made your way to Addison's house. As you opened the door, a feeling of relief and freedom washed over you. The redhead welcomed you with open arms and a warm, loving smile that showed you that you were finally safe and that she would never let anything happen to you again.
Over the coming weeks and months, you began to settle into your new home, helping Addison with Henry while she was at work. Under her loving care, you slowly blossomed, gained self-confidence, and finally found the courage to leave your past behind you.
Addison supported you every step of the way in your healing, whether it was through therapeutic conversations, medical care, or just her unconditional love and support. Together you went through ups and downs, but you always stood by each other, determined to overcome the darkness together and step into the light of a better future. Your connection was strong, characterized by mutual respect, trust and love and you knew that you would be connected forever.

LOOK AT ME! alex karev x fem!reader
SUMMARY: in which you struggle after the loss of a patient, and alex is there to calm you down
WARNINGS: panic attack, grief, mentions of death
WORD COUNT: 0.8k +
The moment you heard the machine flatline, you swore you felt your heart in your throat. You also felt the sweat dripping down your brow as you immediately shook your head, locking your hands and starting compressions on the patients chest. You couldn’t lose her, you just couldn’t. She had four kids, for God’s sake. No matter how many times you pressed against her chest, she just wasn’t coming back.
“No,” You whispered, warm tears threatening to spool from your eyelids. “C’mon,” you breathed.
Dr. Bailey came up behind you, a similar look of grief in her eyes as she gently grasped your shoulder, attempting to pull you away. “Dr. L/N,”
“C’mon!” You yelled out with a shaky, broken voice.
“Dr. L/N,” Miranda tried again, a little more forcefully this time, but you just didn’t stop. The rest of the surgeons in the OR stayed silent, sharing looks, none of them wanting to interfere with your clear distress. “Dr. L/N, she’s gone.”
You let out a pained sob and your body suddenly went limp. Dr. Bailey stepped in front of you, pulling your hands away from the patient as you were positioned next to Dr. Shepherd. He rested a hand on your shoulder whilst you fixated your eyes on Miranda, inhaling as she looked up at the clock.
“Time of death: 21:04.”
Dr. Bailey’s words rattled through you so fast, that you felt yourself struggling to breath. “No, no, no,” The heat began to spread through your body, it felt like the walls were closing in, like you you were going to explode. You had to get out of there.
Ripping off your scrub cap, you burst through the OR doors, running out into the hall and collapsing against the wall. “No,” you whispered once more, clutching your chest with both of your hands, trying your best to steady your breathing. All you could hear was the screeching sound of the machine filling your ears, and the hospital corridor around you was now a blur.
“Oh my god, Y/N.” You ever so slightly managed to hear the familiar voice of your boyfriend calling out your name, as he knelt down beside you, concern spread all across his face.
“Y/N, babe,” Alex watched as you sat slumped against the wall, your hands pressed to your chest and you heaved. He extended out his arms, one tightly gripping your shoulder, and the other cupping your cheek at an attempt to reassure you. “Y/N.” He repeated, keeping his tone soft not to stress you further. “Y/N, I need you to look at me, please. Can you do that?”
When your struggles for breath got faster, Alex quickly started to panic, “Y/N, look at me!” He sternly said, shaking you slightly and pulling you harshly back into reality. He watched as your eyelids flickered open, as your rapid breaths calmed down when you looked at him. There you were. You never told him what happened - you couldn’t. Nor did you need to, the look in your eyes told him all he needed to know.
You studied his face. Alex seemed sad. For the patient and her family, but more so for you. He knew that you were blaming yourself, but it wasn’t your fault. And he needed you to know that. He pulled you in for a hug, allowing you to sob into his shoulder the second he wrapped his arms around you. You felt his hands rub soft circles on your back, whilst he pressed gentle kisses to your temple. “Shh, it’s okay. I’m here. Need you to calm down for me.”
“It’s all my fault.” You croaked out between sobs as you heavy breaths finally slowed down.
“Hey,” Alex scolded, pulling away from the embrace. He cupped your cheeks with both his hands, pulling your chin up to ensure you were looking at him. “Don’t say that, don’t you ever say that.” His tone was stern yet sincere, “There was nothing else you could’ve done. She was sick, she’d been sick for a long time. It was not your fault, Y/N. Okay?”
“Okay,” you whispered under your breath, but loud enough that he could still hear you, “Okay.”
Alex continued to hold you as you calmed down, it felt as though the the whole world was crumbling away from underneath you both. As the two of you sat there against the wall, thoughts began to swirl around your head again, thoughts of what was going to happen next. “Oh god,” you whimpered, sitting up slightly as your eyes filled once more, “I have to tell her husband.”
Alex tightened his grip on you. He’s just calmed you down, if you got stressed out again you’d only hurt yourself. “No.” He was quick to shake his head, “No, you don’t. Bailey can do it. You need to stay here with me and calm down or you’ll make yourself sick.”

Can i request a greys anat. fic? Where addison is newley devorced from derek and is falling head over heals for intern reader and gets v teased for it by mark, derek and callie? (I am only on s3 of greys anatomy and i love it sm!)
Addison Getting Teased for Liking an Intern | Blurb
It definitely took some time after the divorce for the awkwardness around Addison, Derek, and Mark to go away and it was difficult for all three of time. After some long and hard conversations, Addison and Derek came to the mutual agreement that their divorce was for the best and began to sort things out between themselves and with Mark (both individually and together).
Their past was still a bit of a touchy subject but they were getting there, which is why it came as a surprise when Mark noticed Addison and Callie standing together and made a comment. “Wow, I haven’t seen Addison look at someone like that since she met Derek in med school,” he joked.
Derek, who had been standing with Mark, and Callie both followed Addison’s line of sight, only to see the new intern who the hospital had been gossiping about talking to Meredith by the stairs.
“Oooooh,” Callie teased, nudging her friend playfully with her elbow as Addison’s face immediately went the same shade as her hair.
She straightened her posture and made a show of rolling her eyes. “Don’t be dramatic, I wasn’t giving her any type of look,” she insisted.
“You were practically drooling,” Derek chimed in, teasing good-naturally with a smug look on his face. Maybe he was being a bit dramatic now.
Addison scoffed, though it wasn’t very convincing. “It’s nothing! She’s—she’s . . .” There were no words for her to say to escape from this.
“You’re head over heels, oh my god!” Callie exclaimed excitedly, even clapping her hands.
Addison’s face got redder by the moment. Mark opened his mouth to add something snarky in, when he stopped at the sight of you, the intern, walking over. “Doctor Montgomery!” You said cheerfully, wearing a bright and contagious smile.
Mark and Derek had to stifle snickers at how quickly Addison turned around. “Y-yes?” She said, straightening her coat.
“Would you mind if I discuss a patient with you? I just had some questions about the chart,” you said, holding the clipboard out to her.
Not trusting herself to speak, Addison only nodded with a small “mhm!”.
You pinched your eyebrows. “Yes, you do mind?” You asked, a little dejected.
Addison’s eyes went wide but Callie quickly swooped in to save the day. “She doesn’t mind! She has all the time in the world,” the resident said, practically pushing Addison towards you. You looked confused, but went with it.
As Addison walked away with you, she glanced over her shoulder to see the three doctors wearing shit-eating grins. Derek gave her a thumbs up, Mark was making a kissy face, and Callie was mouthing at her telling her to make a move. She gave them one fierce glare that only she could before turning back to you and refocusing her attention.

Hi hi ! I was wondering if you would do Amelia Shepherd x fem reader fic where R is the third twisted sister to Cristina and Mer, Amelia and reader have been in a relationship in secret for a while because they afraid of Mer’s reaction. They finally tell her and she gets protective of R but at the end she is very supportive and protects them against a patient’s hate comment? Xoxo
You’re dating my sister?
Summary: see req above!
Pairings: Amelia Shepherd x fem!reader
fluff, slight angst, homophobia, use of a homophobic slur
Word Count: 1.04k
NOT PROOFREAD
SET WHEN MEREDITH DIDNT LIKE AMELIA MUCH IN THE BEGINNING
Reader pov:
One year. One whole year me and Amelia have been dating for. It’s crazy how fast time feels when you’re in love, I do t know what I’d do without her. The only issue is my best friends, Cristina and Metrdith. Not that I’m afraid of their answer, well. I’m not staid if Cristina’s answer.
Meredith’s husband happens to be my girlfriend brother. It’s a minor detail, and you know, Meredith isn’t the biggest fan of said sister. Me and ames have talked it over and we’re going to tell people soon, but leave Mer till last, what could go wrong right?
Cristina went wrong.
“Hey! Cristina!” I whisper yelled across the nurses station.
“If you have another twisted-sisters-almost-died-or-had-a-traumatic-event drama to tell me save it for after my surgery. Please.” She sighed out.
“No it’s not that I have to tell you something. But you can not, and I mean can not, tell mer.“ I insist
“Dann what did you do screw her sister or something?”
I stay silent at this and her eyes go wide. “Oh. My. God. No you did not.”
I nod my head profusely and respond “We’ve been dating for a year Cristina. Me and Amelia, what am I supposed to tell her?!” I start to panic just thinking about all the different ways this could go wrong.
“Ohh I have no idea! Good luck, you’re gunna need it, oh and tell me when you’re telling her so I can watch.” I rolled my eyes as she walked away from me towards the OR to scrub in.
I walk to my patients room pondering ways to tell mer about me and Amelia, it was going to be a long day.
Amelia pov:
“Derek! Come here!” I call out to him across the neuro floor.
“What do you need I’ve got a surgery with Yang in like, 2 minutes?” He says looking bored before I even start talking.
“Hey you could at least act interest in what I’m about to say, oh and don’t tell mer yet. Please.” His interest was piqued at this so he gave me a look as if to say ‘keep going you’ve got me hooked’ so I continued “Me and y/n have been dating for a year, and we are o my just telling people ad were scared how mer will react because she’s not exactly my biggest fan as of right now and her and y/n/n, and Cristina obviously, are like twisted sisters or whatever.” I took a breather after sayibg all that and my brother just looked like he wanted to laugh in my face.
“Well, good luck!” He smiled and walked off to the OR.
Well shit.
Reader pov:
I walk into my patients room still deep in thought when he speaks up, he’s fairly old, around 70-ish and was in for a broken hip. “You seemed pretty serious with whatever you were talking about back there and now I don’t even get a hello? Something’s gotta be on your mind Doctor.” He gave me a knowing smirk as I open my mouth yet no words come out and let out and exasperated sigh.
“Ah you know, trouble in paradise, well, paradise’s surroundings at least.” I say trying to be as brief as possible.
“Happens to the best of us kid.” He seemed like a genuinely nice guy and to be honest I needed a break so instead of getting a nurse to check his vitals I decided I was going to do them, although it seemed someone else had the same idea.
“Hey y/n/n what are you doing here?” I hear a voice I know all too well say from behind me.
“Hi Ames, just doing Mr Davison’s vitals, are you okay?” I say giving her a smile.
“Funny I was just coming to do the same thing.” she walked beside me and trailed her hand lightly over my lower back which didn’t go unnoticed by Mr Davison.
“Your ‘paradise’ is a she? Ugh just another dyke, exactly what we need!” I stare at him shocked, as does Amelia. His sudden outburst seemed to pull some attention from outside and the one person that I didn’t want to walked in, walked in.
“Is everything okay in here?” Meredith asked.
“No get these people away from me! Horrible people you lgqbt whatever people!” He flailed his arms about like a toddler as he was ranting and raving. Immediately Meredith jumped to our defence.
“Excuse you? Who do you think you’re talking to? I have you know you’ve just made and enemy out of the best neuro, general and ortho (sorry callie) in the state. It’s 2024 in the USA for gods sake, get a grip man!” With this she ushered us out of the room and then into an in call room so she could talk to us.
“YOURE WHAT?!” mer practically yelled
“Keep your voice down, yes we’re dating.” Amelia said to mer try help her keep her head on.
“Look Amelia, I love y/n with my whole heart she’s my sister okay? So, if you hurt her, break her heart or do anything to even slightly harm her, I will hurt you twice as much. She’s the best thing that’ll ever happened to you, so don’t screw it up okay?” My heart warmed after hearing just how much mer cared about me and that she would protect me but also slightly concerned she just threatened my girlfriend.
“Yes ma’am.” Amelia murmured clearly slightly intimidated by mer.
“Okay, now that that’s out the way, I’m so happy for you guys!” Me and Ames say thanks and mer’s oager goes off so she has to run so me and amy are left alone in the in-call room.
“I love you Amelia.” I say as I peck her lips and wrap my arms around her neck.
“I love you too y/n/n.” At this she pulled me into a passionate kiss and lowered us both down onto a bed.
When in an unoccupied on-call room…

A/N: I feel like everyone is ooc but idc bc I love this fic
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You ignore him, praying to whatever god is listening to keep him away from you.
Meredith and Christina notice the tension in your shoulders, sharing a look.
“You know I don’t care about a lot of people but, are you okay?” the curly haired female asks.
You shrug, acting as if nothing has changed. “I’m fine, why?”
Meredith chimes in. “You’re looking a little-“
“Squirrely?”
“I was gonna go with tense but squirrely works.”
You huff through your nose, “would you two shut up.” You hand the clipboard back to your favorite nurse, Marjorie. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” You spin around and walk out, not looking back.
Derek shakes his head, watching you basically run out of the hospital.
Mark glances behind him, not finding who he wanted and sighs. He looks up to see his friend and offers a small wave.
The ferry boat lover nods to acknowledge him.
The plastic surgeon bids the others goodbye and stands in front of the doors, thinking about everything that led him here.
You drive past him without realizing it as he thinks of your face when you caught him in bed with Addison.
His eyes trail on the car, wishing he could see you again and not just glimpses.
-
You roll your eyes and walk away across the bridge, not caring how unprofessional you look. “I’m not talking to you.”
He picks up his pace, following after you. “Please just-“
You scoff, spinning around to face him, “no, I tried before. I did and then,” you lean forward poking him in his chest, “you decided to stick your dick in someone else. Someone who was married and oh, yeah, not your girlfriend.” You cross your arms, “so, excuse me for not being particularly excited at the sight of you.”
“Fiancé.”
You blink once, furrowing your brows. “What?”
“I was,” he gulps. "I was going to propose to you that night.” He pulls the little black box out of his pocket, handing it to you.
”Before or after you screwed Addison,” you bitterly add, staring at the box. If you open it, that's giving him hope.
"I- she came to me and-“
You scoff hard enough for the vibrations to scratch your throat for a few seconds. “I cannot believe this- you- you think it’s okay to just- I’m done.”
“Please don’t,” he begs, eyes getting glossier the more you talk. “Don’t say it.”
Your bottom lip wobbles, removing your gaze from him. “I’m done with this, with us, and you. Now, you get to deal with the guilt. If you have any at all.” You slam the box in his hand and walk away.
Nothing could have prepared anyone at the hospital for this.
You know they’re all looking at you and it pisses you off. “What are you looking at?!”
Christina does damage control, stopping everyone from getting your wrath.
-
Meredith finds him in the on-call room, she was hoping to nap before joining in on a surgery but seems like the universe had other plans. ”You uh- okay?”
He fiddles with the box, staring at the diamond that taunts him. “Does it look I’m okay?”
She shrugs, “not really but it’s better than admitting you were stupid for messing things up with her.”
“My mistake brought Derek to you, didn’t it?”
“Why are you here?”
“If I go to Joe’s I’m going to sleep around, proving her point.”
“And staying here?”
“I don’t know where else to go. Derek is still upset with me, and I don’t blame him, but I know he loves you and I don’t need to hear a speech from him. I’m not ready for him to tell me I messed up more than any of us want to admit.”
“Why did you do it?”
“Do what?” He asks, finally looking up from the ring. “I was scared.”
“To,” she gestures to the ring.
“That and be a husband.”
“You weren’t scared of asking, it was the commitment that got you, I can understand it.”
“No, no," he shakes his head. "I didn’t think- I knew I wouldn’t be a good husband. I- everyone only saw the bad, my parents, Derek at times but she didn’t. She never did and that’s why I,” he lets out a tearful chuckle, “that’s why I fell for her. She saw the good no one else did and I screwed it up.”
Meredith hands him a tissue.
“You tell anyone about this, and I’ll let you observe one of my surgeries beside me.”
“I wasn’t but if you’re offering.”
The two chuckled.
-
Christina owlishly blinks, watching as you work on your last patient for the day as if nothing’s happened.
“How can she just put it all behind her?” George questions, sitting beside her.
“Having a nervous breakdown earlier in the day helps.”
“I feel like there should be someone sitting between us.”
The future cardiologist shrugs, “suit yourself.”
“You’re going to check on her after she’s done, right?”
“I’ll talk to her, if she opens up, good for her.”
A smile dances across his lips, happy that someone’s going to check on you; he likes you and admires your work, knowing you could be someone as well-known as Ellis Grey.
-
“Can you teach me your sutures?”
You ignore her and finish checking over your charts. “Yours are fine. Tell me the real reason you're bugging me.”
She purses her lips, not wanting to admit it out loud. “Are you okay?”
“You really want to know?”
She hesitates to nod. “I… do.”
“It sucks. Everything just… sucks. I don’t want to be here, but this is the only place that makes me feel calm.” You hand Marjorie the chart, smiling at her before returning to Christina. “I’m going to get through this. He’s going to find a nice girl and have the family he always wanted while I’ll still be here.”
“He’s going to go through girls like I go through tequila.”
“I know,” you grab your bag. “Which is why I know he’ll finally find his girl.”
She follows you until you reach the door. "What if it's you?"
A sad smile stretches across your lips. "He lost her."
”Forever?”
You shrug.
The resident stands there, unsure of what to do now.
-
You glance in his direction, wondering how many women he’s going to write down on the sheet. You hand yours back to Bailey, “I keep my life outside of work, unlike some people.”
Mark inwardly groans.
Bailey avoids making eye contact with him, she can’t continue to feel bad for him when he’s the one who messed things up (from what you told her).
You walk past the new residents, not in the mood to deal with them, especially with the girls fawning over Mark.
-
You sit down and watch his surgery, listening to the way he talks down to them.
You always told him he needs to slow down and be kind to them or else they won’t respect him but with everything that’s happened, you assume he’s a little bitter.
He always knows when you're watching and composes himself, but he can’t help and snap at the newbie (you don’t need to be talked about as if you’re a piece of meat). He glances up, catching your gaze.
You gulp, finding his soft expression he only used for you.
Everyone turns to you.
Two of the girls in orange start gossiping beside you.
“I have charts to look over. Come with me?” George asks.
You nod, finding it hard to keep your gaze off him but do so, only to inform the girls of some key information. “Keep talking like that and you two won’t find yourself off bedpan duty for a few months. Don’t talk about your superiors like that again."
The young faced one eyes widen and her face pales at your threat.
Mark can’t help but smirk behind his mask, always loving it when you straightened people out, if it was necessary.
-
"I see you two still aren’t talking.”
“Shut up, George.”
“Right, yeah. Got it.”
-
You try and ignore him again, which is when Derek steps in. “You should talk to him.”
“I know you two are all buddy buddy now, but I can’t do that. I can’t pretend like he didn’t break my heart in two. So, excuse me for ignoring your best friend."
He stops in front of you. “I need you to stop, think about this. What if you two don’t make amends and something happens? How would you feel? Think about how he would feel?”
“We’d be depressed, but eventually get over it, maybe be slutty for a few months and that’s the end of it.”
“That’s not a healthy way of dealing with your feelings and you know it.”
“I don’t care if it’s healthy or not. I have issues and I deal with them my way.”
“If you’d talk to him, maybe you’ll feel better.”
You roll your eyes and head into the prep station before you two head into surgery.
-
Bailey rolls her eyes, reaching for your phone. “Your phone keeps buzzing, doctor.”
You sigh, “does it look important?”
She leans closer, whispering, “it’s about your daughter.”
“Daycare or babysitter?”
“Babysitter. Fever, wants her mom.”
You take a deep breath and lean over to talk to your friend, “doctor Bailey’s going to take over. I need to go.”
“You’re leaving in the middle of a surgery?”
“I have to take care of something.”
“What?”
“My daughter.”
The staff in the OR got quiet, no one observing said anything.
You didn’t see the lights until it was too late.
-
“We got one adult in critical condition. One child with a minor bruising.”
Bailey and Owen are the first to arrive.
The woman’s eyes narrow to the familiar baby in Matt’s arms.
Owen steps forward. “What happened?”
“Car accident. Drunk ran a red light. Drivers side took more of the impact.”
“We need to get her checked out now.” The redhead pushes himself through, taking over one of the rooms. He tells the interns and fresh residents to prep a surgical room and put Christina on babysitting duty, leaving Jackson to follow him and Callie into the OR.
“I heard there was an accident,” Mark says, standing in the doorway. “I wanted to see if you needed any assistance?”
Callie glances at her ally in the room. “No, you should go check on Derek. I think I heard him calling for you.”
“When did he-"
“She’s coding,” Jackson interrupts.
“Crap! Avery, push one of epi.”
Everyone in the room prays for it to work and you to come back.
“Let me help,” he takes a step forward before being called away by one of the nurses.
-
He takes a sip of coffee, goes over the notes and overhears a few residents gossiping. His head whips in their direction. "Where'd you hear that?” He asks them, not accepting their answers.
They freeze. "Where did you hear that? Is she here?"
The group of residents’ glances at one another, unsure of what to say. "Who told you she's here?"
April had never worked with Mark before and seeing how freaked out he was over someone who wanted almost nothing to do with him, she felt bad; if someone she was in love with was hurt or worse, she'd want to know. "We- we saw her come in. They-"
He doesn't listen to anything else and takes off, running past Christina, who coddles the tear eyed, red faced toddler in her arms.
-
He runs straight towards Meredith, who's talking to Owen. "Where is she?"
The red head takes a step foward. "She's in surgery-"
"What room?"
"Sloan, you know I can't-"
He grabs Owen's scrubs by the collar and pulls him close. "I need to see her. I can't be here, waiting to see if she's dead or not. Tell me where she is."
The ex-vet slowly reaches for the man's hands. "Mark, I need you to calm down."
"How can I calm down when I just found out my fiancé is in surgery?"
-
Meredith takes a seat beside him, slumping against the wall, offering him a snack.
He shakes his head, closes his eyes and resting his head against the wall. "Have you heard anything?"
"No," she shakes her head. "I don't even know where she is."
"I just- what am I going to do if she's really-"
"Don't talk like that. She's not one to give up. She's-"
"A fighter?"
"Yeah."
Christina turns the corner, eyes wide. "Meredith?" She spots the two of them and runs towards them, inadvertently introducing your daughter to her father. "Mer. Mer. I need your help."
"Where did you get a baby?" She pushes herself off the floor. "Why do you have a baby?"
"Bailey put me on Kara duty and she won't stop crying."
"Whose baby, is it?"
That's when things got awkward.
Meredith's eyes widen, "no."
She nods.
Mark opens his eyes, glancing up. His eyes stop on the little girl, who glances his way.
She reaches for him. "Dada."
No one knew what to do.
"Oh my god," the two women muttered.
He pushes himself off the floor, staring at her. There's no mistaking it, she has your features, but she's got his eyes.
The little girl fusses in the woman's arms.
Mark easily slides her into his, his daughter settles into his arms, staring at him with those wide, curious eyes. "Mama?"
He gulps, "we have to wait a little bit before we see mama, okay?"
She nods and lays her head down on his chest.
He closes his eyes to keep his tears at bay, kissing the top of her head.
-
"She still loves you," Christina tells him.
He keeps his gaze on his girls and hums. "When you showed her the ring, she didn't say it was officially over for you two but she's still heartbroken over you and Addison getting together."
"I was getting ready to leave."
"What?"
"I grabbed my jacket and made sure I had the ring. I was- I wanted that night to go perfectly but then I opened the door, and she was there." He sighs.
"She let herself in and I tried to get her to leave but she wouldn't and then she kissed me. I told her I couldn't because I was about to become a proud married man," he bitterly chuckles.
"I told her no and she got upset because she knew she could always run to me but when she knew she couldn't anymore, she decided she wanted to love me. The way I wanted her to when we were younger. I accepted it, you know."
The woman nods.
"I accepted the fact that she chose Derek. He was a good choice."
"He was a safe choice, and she knew that."
Mark nods, "yeah and that's why I... tried to warn him before he proposed."
"You tried to warn him?"
"He's my best friend, I couldn't let him go into a marriage that was going to hurt him."
She chuckles, "that's ironic."
"Shut up, Yang."
"Go on."
"I gave into her because a part of me was scared- scared I was going to hear the rejection. No, I can't marry you because..."
"You're a manwhore?"
"Baby present and, yes. I didn't want my past to define my future but then, it did, and she left with Derek."
"Do you think Derek knew about," Christina gestures to the baby in his arms.
"Probably. I'm not happy I missed it but at least I know she had someone who could take care of her."
"Are you ever going to tell her?"
"If she'll listen."
Her pager beeps.
"Go, Yang. I'm not leaving."
Derek nods and steps into the room.
"You hear all that?"
His friend shrugs, "only the good parts."
"Funny."
"She was going to tell you before... everything happened but then she needed to get away and I did too-"
"So, she left without saying anything."
"If it means anything, she wrote a journal throughout the entire pregnancy, in case she passed, and Kara wanted to know about her mom."
He can tell by Mark's expression; he needs to explain.
"She was stressed throughout the entire pregnancy, and it was cause for concern. She had a few fainting spells and needed to stay home for a while. The doctor was making it seem like if she even went to the bathroom, she was going to lose Kara which scared her more than leaving you."
"Why?"
"If she lost Kara, it meant losing a piece of you which would have made her feel like it was officially over for the two of you."
Your heart monitor beeps. "Derek?"
His friend calms you down, checking you over before whispering that Mark and Kara are in the room.
You slowly turn your head, spotting them.
The father of your child smiles, relieved to see you awake. "Hey."
You spot your little girl tucked into his neck and tear up. You bring your hand up to your mouth to hide the sobs that want to escape.
Mark gestures for your guys' friend to exit so he can talk to you. He slowly pushes himself out of the chair, adjusting to the little girl. "Hey, hey," he brushes the few strands of hair out of your face, his thumb rubbing agaist your hairline. "What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?"
"I'm sorry."
He shakes his head. "Don't be. I'm just- I'm happy you're okay."
"I wanted to call you so many times."
"I know."
"I wanted you to be there."
"Where?"
"In the room," you whisper, staring into his eyes. "I didn't want her to be away from you but-"
He nods. "I know, I messed up. If I didn't- if it didn't happen, we could have been a family, and I will forever be sorry because you went through it alone."
Hearing your voice alerts the little girls’ ears and she squirms in his grasp.
He sets her feet on the open area near your arm, letting her turn around and launch herself into your arms. "Mama!"
"Oh, my sweet baby." You kiss the side of her head. "Mama missed you."
His heart swells at the sight of you two.
-
A few days later and you feel okay enough to be sent home.
You bid your goodbyes to everyone, even the newbies because they were nice enough to check in on you and make sure everything was okay. You step outside and take a deep breath.
"What do you think you're doing?"
A quiet moment ruined by your ex.
"I'm breathing, Mark. Can I do that, or do you need to make sure the weather's just right?"
He chuckles before getting out of the car. "You know your doctor gave you strict orders, I think you should be following them but that's just me."
You stare at him with a deadpan expression. "I got it, Mark. I know what I need to do, don't try and patronize me."
"I would never."
-
The residents huddle together, watching the two of you.
"How much do you want to bet that they're going to get back together?" Christina asks.
Jackson nods, "I'll take that bet."
Meredith stares at the two of them.
"You two are awful," April adds.
"Yes, but we'll be bad people with money," the future cardiologist tells her with a sarcastic smile.
Derek stops at the desk, taking a sip of his coffee before making his way to the group. "Okay, if we're all done gawking at two grown adults trying to move past their differences, can we get back to work?"
"You're no fun. I remember when you were having fun."
"You want to scrub in on my surgery, Dr. Yang?"
"Let's go have fun. See yah, Mer."
-
You make it through the door of your place and wait for it. "Say it."
"What?" He closes the door, setting the stroller by the door as he unbuckles Kara.
"I know you're judging, so, out with it. I'm not going to pretend as if you don't want to say something because you do."
"I don't," he notices the look you're giving him. "I... like it."
"You hesitated even finishing that sentence."
"I did not."
"Did too."
"Mama!"
You two glance down at the little girl, wanting attention and out of her father's grasp. You gently take her from him and wander into the kitchen, scouring through the cabinets to figure out what kind of things you could have as a snack.
This is what he wants, he wants this life: the one where you're not mad at him, and he can watch his daughter grow while you look amazing at being a mom.
He gulps down what little saliva he has in his mouth and takes a hesitant step closer to you. "What are we feeling?"
You hum, "I don't know, little miss here can't decide on what she wants."
"I can make something," he meekly offers, unsure if this is too much or not.
"What can you make? Last time I checked all you knew was protein smoothies and even then, that wasn't the best."
He scoffs, "I know how to cook, and you know it. You forget who made you dinner for our second date."
You open your mouth to respond but don't have it in you when you think about the good times you two had. Your gaze drops.
He feels bad but he can't pretend as if your romantic past doesn't exist. "I was so worried I messed up with that dinner."
"Really?"
"Of course, I was cooking for the most beautiful girl within a five-mile radius of my house. I was more than nervous."
"Good."
-
You step out of the room and start cleaning up, only for Mark to stop you and grab everything you pick up.
"I told you not to do anything. I got this."
You lean over the couch and watch him wander around your place. "Do you..."
"What?" He glances up, staring at you with kind eyes, wanting to hear what you have to say.
"Do you ever wonder what it would have been like if it didn't happen?"
"I know we'd be married with at least one other kid now."
"I'm serious."
"I don't want to focus on the past."
You scoff, rolling your eyes.  "Says the man who always wanted to ask about my exes."
-
You don't even know how it happened but here you are. You pull away, needing to breathe before continuing.
"Are you sure about this?"
You stare into his eyes, for what feels like an eternity. "I'm sure. I want this. Please," you beg.
His lips curve upwards, "who am I to deny you a fun time?"
You keep him at arm’s length, "that comment makes me want to rethink this whole thing."
"No, it doesn't."
You grumble and pull him back in for a kiss.
Meredith immediately closes the door, regretting not checking before opening. "Seriously you guys?"
You reach for your shirt and cover your mouth to hide your giggles, Mark turns to you with a smirk. "How do you know we weren't trying to invite you?"
"Because you know better."
Your eyes widen.
"Hey, Bailey," he says with a cool tone.
"You two better be out of there in the next five minutes or-"
You open the door and run past the two. "See yah, Bails. See yah, Mer."
Mark stays there flabbergasted at how quickly you ran out the door, leaving him to deal with her.
-
He closes the door just as you finish making dinner. "You are evil."
You stick your bottom lip out, "I don't think so, I made dinner. I'm going to be feeding you, I'd consider that to be something nice."
"You left me to deal with that- that woman alone."
"I left you with Bails, you were fine."
"I was not fine. I was far from fine."
You click your tongue, "stop exaggerating."
"I'm not and you know it."
"Okay," you groan. "I'm sorry. I left you with Bailey and that wasn't nice."
"It wasn't." He wraps his arms around your waist, resting his head on your chest.
"I said sorry, don't be like this."
"I think I'm going to need a little more in order to forgive you."
You lean into him as you settle into his arms.
The monitor goes off and you're brought back to the reality of you being in the arms of your ex.
You push yourself out of his grasp and walk towards her room. "Hey, pumpkin."
She holds her arms out for you.
You pick her up, "how's my little baby?"
She babbles a response. "Dada?"
"He's still here, checking on dinner. Your favorite."
"Maccheese!"
You chuckle, "yeah."
"There's my favorite girl," he smiles at the happy little girl.
You observe the way they interact with a heavy heart, knowing you can't continue doing this with him.
-
"What happened?" Christina asks, practicing new sutures on a banana.
"Nothing happened-"
"You're not sleeping with McSteamy, something happened."
"I just- I realized we need to not fall back into old habits."
"Do you still love him?"
You hesitate to answer.
"I'll take that as a yes."
"Of course, of course I still love him, but I can't be in love with him-"
"Because he was an adulterous whore?"
"Yeah."
"Have you seen him with anyone else?"
"I didn't need to see anything if all the girls talked about him?"
"Did you ever think maybe they lied? Maybe they're jealous of the fact that you have a hot guy fawning over you and only you. What else would they do other than gossip?"
"How am I supposed to believe that?"
"Have you ever talked to him?"
"I'm scared."
"So is he."
"I don't want to get hurt again."
"He wouldn’t want to lose you again."
"Christina?"
"Yeah?"
"You're wise beyond your years."
-
You run to him, pulling him into the break room.
He attempts to get up. "Shut up and let me talk."
You take a deep breath, "I want to be with you, like we were before but we're not those people anymore. And- and I want you to be in Kara's life so you can watch her grow up but this," you gesture between the two of you.
"This can only work if we're honest and you don't leave me for a quick lay or else, I will put you in an OR and change things about you. I will not put myself or Kara on the line if you're not going to give us your all."
He nods, taking in everything you've said. He pushes himself off the couch and walks towards you and pulls you in for a hug. "I'm never letting you go," he mumbles into your hair. "Living without you was the worst time of my life."
Mark pulls away, cupping your cheek, staring into your eyes. "If you let me into your lives, I promise not to mess it up because you two are too important to me and I don't know if I'd be able to live without you."
You sniffle, chuckling at his dorky smile. "Then don't be an idiot and kiss me."
-
"Finally," Christina turns around, pointing to everyone. "You all owe me money."
"Us."
"You owe Mer and I money."
Derek makes his way towards them. "What are we looking at?" He smiles, "good, it's about time he got his act together."

"Did you know that couples who co-habituate before marriage have are 48% more likely to have their marriages end in divorce?"
You froze in the doorway of Meredith's house. You hadn't even taken off your coat yet. Much less closed the door.
The house was dark. Candles everywhere. A table set for two in the living room. Romantic music in the background…and a projection screen.
"I…did not know that. What's going on?"
"Well, it's true. A study conducted by researchers in 2018 found that participants were less likely to divorce after the first year of marriage but more likely to get divorced later on down the line. Please sit."
You kicked the door shut and did as she asked, watching her flip through slides of graphs, charts and other research data. You hardly heard any of it. Izzie was resplendent in a pink dress. Her hair was curled and pinned up, her makeup carefully done. You felt as though you were sitting in the presence of royalty.
"--but," she continued, "another study conducted in 2018 concluded that cohabitation before marriage was actually linked to lower divorce rates." Izzie continued her presentation, clicking through an assortments of slides focused on the age of commitment, religion, and the ages, careers, and races of the of the studies participants and a bunch of other analytical mumbo jumbo that went in one ear and out the other.
Finally you couldn't take it anymore. "Izzie, baby, please," you huffed. "I…I am sure that a great deal of work has gone into all of this and I appreciate it but I don't understand what you're trying to say. We're not married and we don't live together. None of these studies apply to us!"
Izzie's throat bobbed, her eyes shining with tears.
Inside, you kicked yourself for making her cry. You held out your arms and she practically ran into them, perching herself on your lap. You kissed her arm, taking both of her hands in your own. "I'm sorry for making you cry, babe. I just… I need you to talk to me. Not at me."
Izzie sniffed, wiping her eyes dry on the back of her hands. "I know, I know. And you didn't make me cry I just… There haven't been a lot of things in my life that have gone right, you know? You are the most precious thing in the world to me and I don't want to lose you. There's no room for mistakes."
"Izzie, I don't want to lose you either but there's no such thing as perfection. This love, this life is what we make it. Not the data. If you want to move in together we can start looking right now. If you want to get married let's gas up the car and go to Vegas."
Izzie scrunched her nose. "Vegas? Is that really what you envision for your dream wedding?"
You shrugged. "Any wedding is my dream as long as I'm saying my vows to you."
You kissed her again and Izzie sighed as if in relief. "All I want is you, Y/N."

They were a tangle of lips and teeth. Jackson kissed every visible patch of skin, all over her face and down her neck, and she groaned shamelessly. He wrapped a hand under her, only to pick her up and place her down on her back, further onto the bed, as he crawled over her.
Neither of them were on call, and there was no one to walk in. It was just them, just gloriously them.
Violet felt a tug at the hem of her shirt, and she quickly pulled back, letting him tug it over her head as he moved towards unbuttoning her pants, recapturing her lips with his own, but then he stopped, and she reeled back, eyes wide. "What's wrong, why'd you stop?" She asked breathlessly.
"Are you sure about this-"
"Yes." She nodded frantically, and he looked her up and down with a smile from above her before rushing forward again, one hand holding himself up while the other undid her pants. She kicked them off instantly, pulling back from their kiss just long enough to tug his shirt over his head.
She realized then, as his eyes raked over her almost predatorily, that she was wearing nothing but her black bra and matching panties. But the way he looked at her? She would never get tired of that. Her hands ran over his chest, caressing every dip and curve of his abs until she reached his waist band, the second her hand slipped beneath it, he was stuffing his head into her neck, kissing and biting her neck like a mad man, and she loved it.
She whispered quietly, "Are you sure?" To which he practically whimpered a 'yes', and finally, she wrapped a hand around him. She held back her gasp at the feeling, but moaned loudly when the hand on his waist travelled lower, passing over her centre with a feather light touch.
He lifted his head from her neck, his words barely above a whisper, "I know we're home alone, but I still have neighbours."
She nodded frantically, her eyes clasped shut as he tugged her panties down her legs, watching her kick them away before his hand finally connected with where she needed him most. He watched; watched as her mouth opened in a silent moan as his finger trailed down, collecting her wetness until finally he entered her slowly. Her back arched off of the bed as she panted.
"Open your eyes." He demanded as he pumped his finger in and out. His words fell on deaf ears, until he added a second finger, and said it again. "Open your eyes, Darling." Finally her eyes snapped open, and the look of lust in his own was enough to make her moan again, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
He watched her with a smirk as he moved his hand expertly. Then, a slight twist in the angle of his fingers had her letting out a particularly loud moan, to which Jackson quickly clasped a firm hand over her mouth, which Violet had to admit she found painfully attractive.
She felt that knot snap within moments, her back arching off of the bed as her eyes rolled back. Only when her breathing had begun to return somewhat to normal did Jackson remove his hand, his smirk widening as his eyes raked over her body. "You are particularly vocal."
"God, can you blame me?"
He let out a chuckle as the smirk grew on his lips, which she immediately found herself kissing, again. Her arms wrapped themselves around his neck, and his hands gripped her waist with an almost painful amount of pressure, but that good, delicious kind of pain.
His other hand busied itself until she heard the shuffle of him removing his pants and finally she felt him against her entrance and she flat out gasped, her eyes clenching shut. "Are you-"
"If you ask me if I'm sure one more goddamn time i swear to- Oh, fuck!" He entered her with one swift move of his hips and the hand not on her waist covered her mouth again.
"You've got to stop doing that."
She couldn't muster up a response as his hips snapped against hers, again, again, and again, and the way he stretched her as he pounded against her relentlessly was so good. Like, painfully, jaw dropping, heart-stoppingly good.
Her hands dropped from their place around his neck, in exchange for clasping the sheets beneath them with such force a very tiny, rational part of her brain was worried she'd shred them. He was unrelenting in the best way possible, and, she realized with another lovely wave of wetness, also not the quietest during sex.
She watched as he clasped his mouth shut, small whimpers leaving his mouth when he didn't, and when he did, those were exchanged for groans from deep within his throat, and they were hot.
Violet Cordova had this man whimpering on top of her and she couldn't be happier. The knot had begun to build for the second time within her and she began to move her legs restlessly as that pleasure built and built, her back arching against his chest. She knew he was close too if the almost erratic movement of his hips was any indication.
Violet went silent, the moans no longer tumbling from her lips but instead just silent stretches and heavy breathing, and finally Jackson let his hand drop from its place against her mouth, instead opting to wrap his fingers around her neck with a soft but delicious amount of pressure that had her tumbling- no, crashing over the edge in less than a minute.
Her back arched even further off of his bed, and he held her against his chest with his right hand as he felt himself come with a few more slow thrusts. Finally, he nearly collapsed on top of her, but caught himself with his arm quickly enough for him to push himself onto his back beside her.
Her eyes were still closed but she dreaded the loss of his hand around her neck, amongst other things. They stayed there, breathing heavily and saying nothing. Jackson stared at the ceiling as he listened to the breathing of the woman beside him. Finally, he turned, resting his head against the palm of his hand and moved to speak, only to fall flat when he realized she was asleep, completely, fast asleep.
He let out a breathless laugh but didn't bother waking her, instead just turned back to his previous position, tugging the blanket she'd kicked to the foot of the bed over both of them, then letting his eyes drift shut until he felt his own consciousness slip away.
Violet hadn't slept that good in far too long, and when she awoke, genuinely and fully rested, she found herself staring dumbfounded at Jackson's sleeping figure as he had pulled her into his chest throughout the night, and her leg was tossed over his, one of his hands holding her thigh, keeping her leg there, while the other had planted itself into her hair. She wanted desperately to believe that was only sex, just fun, mindless sex, but with the way she felt herself memorizing the lines of his face and mesmerized by the simple rhythm of his heartbeat, she knew that couldn't have been all it was.
But the real question was; what was it to Jackson?

Hey! Can I request a Owen hunt x reader smut where readers kind of a brat and he tames her? Basically just kinky and degrading.
Thanks 😍😍😍
Tumblr media
Your Hand in Mine (Owen Hunt x Reader) *SMUT* *REQUEST*
a/n: working on better dirty talk lmao, it's really hard tbh
summary: You decide that Owen needs to relax more.
tags: bratty reader, kissing, Derek's kind of an asshole, missing surgery for sex, teasing, dirty talk, unprotected sex, creampie, AFAB reader, she/her reader
You couldn’t think of anything hotter than Owen’s frustration.
Now, you loved Owen, he was one of your best friends, but sometimes he needed to get out of his own damn head. The way to achieve this seemingly impossible thing? Riling him up just enough always seemed to do the trick for you.
“Owen,” you lavished in your alone time with him, “Are you sure that Derek needs you right now? Because, I’m more than sure that I need you, here. For about 15 to 30 minutes.” You smile, it’s soft, almost innocent fun like you can’t feel the erection below you, pressing into your leg.
“15 to 30 minutes?” He raises an eyebrow towards you, “Don’t think I can go any longer than that?” You laugh, turning around in his lap, coming face to face with him, you bring your hands around to the back of his head, kissing him before shaking your head. “I don’t… Unless you want to prove otherwise to me?”
He could go longer than that. You and him both know that you knew that, but the thrill of the chase was one of your favorite things. Your center of gravity is suddenly thrown off as you’re thrown onto your back, his lips on yours. The kiss being all you could think about right now, you feel your scrub pants beings pulled off, as you pull away from the kiss, smiling. “Didn’t you say you had to go to Derek’s surgery?”
He shakes his head, a growl emitting from the back of his throat, as he smacks your ass, shaking his head, “Derek can wait, he’ll do it himself. Now, stop talking about him.” You yelp softly at the strike against your skin, leaving a welt that raises your skin, it’ll hurt later, you don’t care right now, Owen makes a note to get you some aloe for later. The puncture of teeth against the edge of your neck, traveling to softly bite on your collarbone, a soft moan escapes your mouth as Owen slides your underwear off, sliding one finger, then two, and then three inside of your pussy, which took him with little resistance.
“Like it was made for me,” he mutters to himself as he pumps his fingers inside of you, slow and hard, you thread your fingers into his red hair, and your legs come over Owen’s shoulders as Owen’s mouth meets the throbbing between your legs, sucking at the area, leaving your legs to wrap around his head, as he smacks the side of your thigh, yelps echoing into the sterile air, that is until you hear a knock of the door, all goes silent, “What?” You hear Owen growl as he yanks open the door, careful to hide you behind it, whilst you scramble to cover up with the thin sheet of the bed in case. Owen opens it to face Derek, who looks less than pleased at Owen, who is shirtless and very clearly having been occupied just moments before. Derek simply glares at him, “Look, I don’t even want to know, just get into my surgery when you can, and please, don’t let this happen again, also page (Y/N) when you get the chance, they’re supposed to be in there too.” You snort derisively, shaking your head, as Owen simply shuts the door, letting Derek walk away. He turns back to you, pulling his pants off, “I’m going to fuck you, then you and I are going to go back to that O.R. Got it?” While your fun had ended a bit too soon for your own liking, you decided that you could at least get a little bit of a push on him.
“Owen,” You smile at him, “Come on, you feel his grip on your thighs, “I want you to ruin me, Owen,” He releases your thighs, hands coming to his hard cock, stroking it whilst shaking his head, “I don’t think you deserve it, frankly, you’ve been acting like a brat this week… Tell me how much you actually want it.” His lips come to yours, the stubble scratching against your skin as he rubs his cock over your navel, “Fuck, Owen…” You murmur against his lips, “Just want you to fuck me, like, really fuck me…” The words began to drip from your mouth, sweet and simple, “Your cock in me, slow and deep, but, for now, I’m just gonna settle on fast… If you can even fuck me as fast as you want.” He’s holding a decade over you in terms of age, the fact lies heavy and the implication was a truck on top of it, that is until you feel a stretch inside of you. The gasp of surprise and pleasure that leaves your throat is one that can only leave a man like Owen with pride in his chest.
“Too deep?” He asks, mockingly sympathetic as you whine a bit, his cock stretching you as he thrusts inside, fast, faster than you’d ever taken him before, it’s a feeling that you want more of, “Owen, please!” The sentence is drawn out into a moan as his hands grip your arms, “Fuck, your cunts fucking gripping me, shit-.” He’s close, “Owen, wanna cum…” You whine as he continues to thrust into you without mercy, he shakes his head at your request, “You don’t deserve it yet,” You shake your head, his thrusting relentless on you, you’re close, you can’t help it as Owen feels your walls clench around his cock. “Just a little more, come on.” He mutters under his breath, not to you in particular.
Then, his breath hitches, his thrusts unsteady, “Gonna cum… Gonna cum, shit, cum with me, sweetheart.” All you needed was the go-ahead, and you come undone on his cock. Sweat drips from your brow as you collapse back onto the bed. “Shit, that was… Oh shit!” Your orgasm is quickly finished as you shoot up pulling on your underwear and then your scrubs, Owen looks at you quizzically, “Surgery!” You call out as you run out of the room, leaving Owen alone in the on-call room, naked and sure of only one thing, he definitely liked you for sure. You’d cleared his mind enough for him to know that.

Hey! Hope you're okay! I wonder if you could do an addison montgomery x reader where she finds out you self harm? And maybe even a Rafa Barba/Alex Cabot one? Don't worry if it's too triggering. Keep being amazing ❤️

⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ This one-shot includes the topic of self harm. The plot is presented. If this triggers you too easily or you just can´t handle the subject, I urge you NOT to read this work. I am NOT embellishing this topic under any circumstance. Read at your own risk.

The sun was slowly dipping towards the horizon as Addison made her way to your house. She had not seen her best friend in a week, and that made her spontaneously stop by to check on you, her concern growing with each passing day without contact. The redhead knew you had been under a lot of stress lately, often withdrawn and thoughtful and she just wanted to make sure you were okay.
When she reached your well-kept house, she rang the doorbell and waited patiently. But even after the second ring and subsequent knock, she did not hear any footsteps or a key being inserted into the lock to open the door. It was quiet. Too quiet for her liking.
A little uneasy, she stumbled down the terrace and shuffled around the house, hoping that she would find you there. When the certified gynecologist entered your garden and walked towards the terrace, she could already see you from afar. You sat on one of the lawn chairs, staring at the ground.
Your hair, which had once been so soft and shiny, seemed dull and unkempt. They lay disheveled on your head like a bird's nest. She could clearly see that you did not look well - your eyes were puffy, with deep circles under your eyes while your skin had taken on a pale tone. You seemed absent, not even noticing her, your vision was clouded and your eyes had a shadow that the redhead had never seen in you before.
“Y/n?” Addison called out quietly so as not to scare you. Still, you jumped and turned your head to look at her, nervously tugging at the sleeves of your sweater. Your eyes seemed empty but you still tried to force a smile at her. "Addy. What are you doing here?"
Addison Montgomery walked closer to you, sat down on one of the comfortable lawn chairs and placed her bag in her lap. "I am worried about you, sweetie. You do not look well. How are you?" she asked carefully, reaching out her hand. She carefully took your cold fingers and intertwined them with hers, the redheads thumbs twirling tender circles over the pale skin.
The gynecologist felt her heart beat faster as she looked at you and was met with total physical coldness. You sighed deeply and looked past her into the distance to avoid her gaze. She noticed that you were acting strangely, you were usually like an open book to her, but now you seemed to be hiding something. "I am fine."
With a short tug, you pulled your hand away from her and for a brief moment your sleeve, which you had previously placed above your upper knuckles, slipped up. Fine red lines decorated your wrist and Addison swallowed hard. Her heart sank when she realized what was going on and how bad you were feeling. Some of them were still quite fresh while others had already turned a purple color and were trying to close up in order to heal.
With shaking hands, she grasped your hand again, pulled it towards her and stared at it for a moment before gently pulling the material up and seeing the full extent of your feelings. She stared at you, stunned. She could not believe what she was seeing. "Oh darling.. You could have spoken to me. I am here to listen to you and help you when you need me."
You finally let the tears you had held back for weeks flow and let out all the emotions you had suppressed for so long. "Your job is so stressful and your relationship with Derek is at a dead end. I did not want to be an unnecessary burden on you." you whispered and Addison immediately jumped up from her seat and hugged you tightly as she rocked you back and forth.
"I am here for you. We will get through this together," she whispered soothingly and you sniffled loudly, trying to calm yourself down. She sensed the eerie tension in the air, but still encouraged you to continue. You hesitated for a moment before you continued speaking with a hiccup between each word, all your worries and fears flowing out of your system. "I feel like I have lost myself."
Addy smiled softly and stroked your hair lightly, listening to you carefully and reassuring you that she would stand by you. She struggled for the right words when she saw how fragile and vulnerable you seemed and was afraid of saying the wrong thing. "You are not lost. You just went astray and we will find the right path again. We will find a way to deal with this."
You nodded, your tears not stopping falling. You sat in silence on the terrace for a while, holding each other in your arms and feeling your friendship grow even stronger. The evening sun bathed the place in warm light and painted a sad picture on the white wall of the house. "Thank you, Addy."
Addison knew it would be a long journey to bring you out of your darkness, but she was determined to be there for you and support you through this difficult time. She had discovered that her best friend had been in a moment of despair, and she knew that together you could overcome any challenge because your friendship was strong enough to overcome anything while finding your way back to the light together.
This was just the beginning of a long and painful process, but together you were able to overcome it. Albeit with a lot of time.

authors note; hi again!
firstly i just wanted to thank you for the love i got on my two other stories. I am beyond grateful!
I decided to try something different today, that I just made up in my head. I do not believe anyone has done this before me, which is why I say "I created it".
Basically, I spin a wheel with a bunch of fictional characters' names. When a random cc has been chosen, I shuffle my longest playlist at 18h and 3min and make a ff based on the song and character. If it's wished that i do a specific character from a fandom and then randomize a song / a specific artist / show / other way around, i'd love to do so! I’m also going to include the fandoms i am (currently) in, so that requests can be made! im not sure how to make a masterlist 😭
character: Jackson Avery
ship: Jackson x reader, y/n used.
song: I'm your baby tonight by Whitney Houston
pronouns used: she/her
warning: not really a warning but please dont cringe at the slight stuttering 😭 also did not read this through, sorry if there is any mistakes!
Tumblr media
y/n started her internship at Seattle Greys, while Jackson started his at Mercy West. When Mercy West was shut down due to economic climate and they merged to form one medical facility: Jackson and y/n grew incredibly close incredibly fast.
From the second she lied her eyes on her, she went out of her mind completely.
She never even believed in love at first sight, but it was like black magic was done on her and she wasn't able to escape it. It being the constant blushing once he pushed her jokingly in the arm - the nervous laughter any time he 'recommended' a guy for her to date. The rapid heart rate - it's getting harder and harder to hide.
Y/n had been ignoring him for a while now, going on the second week. However, he knew something was up, and he was definitely not the first one to notice around the hospital.
He had pulled her into a supply room, hoping to force something out of her.
"I know you've been avoiding me, y/n."
"Wh- What?"
"I know you've been avoiding me. Why?" Jackson repeated, placing both his hands on his hips as he looked down at the shorter woman.
"I haven't been avoiding you." Y/n could feel her heart beat increasing already, and how it beated harder. Not only was she caught in HD quality, but they were also standing incredibly close.
"Then why do you always walk off when I come around, then? And ignore me when i try to talk to you?"
"I .. " She started, shaking her head and looking up to the ceiling, trying to think of something to say - buying time, if you will.
"haven't done any of that."
"You are really starting to piss me off here." He squeezed his eyes half shut for only a second while finishing up the sentence. it's true. The constant ignoring not only made Jackson pissed off - but upset too. They were practically best friends, and he found it weird that this would happen with no warning what so ever. He knew he hadn't done anything wrong. He had even gone to Mark for advice, and he agreed.
Y/n just sighed, looking down at her shoes.
"I think you know why I've.. ignored you."
"Oh, so now you admit to doing it?" Jackson removed his hands from his hip, transferring them into a cross in front of his chest.
y/n looked back up, straight into his eyes before shaking her head. It wasn't a 'no' shake, it was just a shake. Her mouth was opening, but nothing was coming out.
"Seriously?" He said, getting even more annoyed now. It was raining heavily outside, fitting the mood very well.
Y/n's mind is suddenly paralyzed with apprehension. She didn't know what to say - what to do.
"I just,"
"What?" Jackson interrupted, knowing it would be a long pause either way.
"It's just that-" She slid her bottom lip in between her teeth. She was wondering if being honest would be the bwst - or if blowing this off like it was nothing was. She felt .. conflicted, like maybe staying here instead of pushing him out of the way and leave was stupid.
“Ah, you know what Jackson… I can’t remember why. Sorry… Must've just been a busy couple of days." She laughed nervously, which caused Jackson to furrow his brows. He could tell there’s something more than just a busy couple of days, and he was definitely going to push it further.
"Days? It's been two weeks! We're friends, but in this hospital we are professionals first and how you've been acting lately has certainly not been professional."
"Fine. Fine!" By the first 'fine', Y/n's hands were up in the air like someone was pointing a gun. By the second, her hands were thrown down and slapped her tighs.
" I like you. I like you a lot. But because I'm a professional, I can't ... Be around .. You." Y/n looked at the floor by the end of the confession, not wanting to see his reaction. She was shaking her head, too.
Jackson was still. He didn't say a word, just like y/n before.
"Oh, come on. Now you're quiet?" Once again, she laughed nervously.
Jackson sighed, putting his arms down as he straightened his back - before he impulsively kissed her. He kissed her as he put his hands on her face. His nose was pressed up against the bit of her cheek that he wasn't holding, as his head was leaning a bit to the side while doing all this.
A few seconds of doing this, he pulled away. Only a few centimeters, close enough to kiss her lips again.
"It's okay, keep going." y/n said, pressing her lips onto his.
They might not get married - have 10 kids - buy a beautiful house together and live happily ever after, but he's hers for tonight.

Being Addison's ex and coming back to work in the same hospital, headcannons.
Being Addison Montgomery’s Ex Would Include . . .
Tumblr media
You and Addison had dated in college, both being pre-med, but started to drift when you two went to different medical schools.
You arrived to Seattle Grace Hospital shortly after Addison and Derek’s divorce. Addison was surprised to see you and things were bittersweet on both your guys’ ends.
You and Addison remained polite and you made friends with some of the other doctors. Addison was surprised to find her getting jealous when she saw one of the residents flirting with you, though, and a little relieved when you turned them down.
You two only started talking, though, after the incident with the patient’s neurotoxic blood. You had been one of the doctors in the OR operating on the patient and when Addison found out, she couldn’t help but be worried about you.
Afterwards, when she was finished with the oxygen mask, she felt compelled to check up on you and even a little nervous.
You were touched that she checked up on you and seemed to feel naturally protective, insisting that you get some rest when you mentioned wanting to get back to work. When you pointed out that she was also exposed to the blood, she pointed out that you had fainted whereas she had not. This bickering, just like how you remembered, caused some butterflies in your stomach.
After a nice conversation, Addison said how she didn’t want you to be alone tonight, as she was worried about something happening. Now, you couldn’t deny that seeing her again had reignited a spark inside you, so you carefully suggested she come over.
The smile that lit up her face took your breath away and she agreed. It seemed that you guys were in sync and fell into a coordinated rhythm as she helped you gather your things.
Addison had taken the ferry to the hospital that morning, so you went for your car. Memories of date nights and driving around flooded Addison when she realized that your car was the same. You wanted to drive, but Addison insisted you give her the keys.
“I’ve driven this car how many times, Y/N?”
Addison drove back to your house and helped you get settled. She was quite the mother hen, fussing over you and asking you if you needed anything. You had to admit, you were enjoying this just a teeny bit.
The moment you tried to give Addison your bed, though? The bickering started again. Which ended in you throwing a pillow at Addison and her threatening you because “I know all your tickle spots, Y/N!”
In the end, you guys ended up being unable to sleep and had long talks full of reminiscing and laughter over glasses of red wine.
In the morning, you woke up cuddled up against her. You thought you’d feel weird about it and even though the last time this happened was 20 years ago . . . Things just felt right. So you drifted back to sleep.
Of course, you guys ended up missing your alarms and being late to work.
Addison was still a little worried the next day and kept checking up on you. Eventually, you went out for lunch. When Addison talked to Callie later, her friend kept laying down the hints that maybe something was going to happen between you and Addison. Addison found herself actually desiring that.
After this, you guys were friendly for a while, but inside both of you, there was an ache of wanting more.
It was only when Addison began thinking about moving to Seattle. Things seemed clear for her but then she thought about you and suddenly, it wasn’t clear anymore.
She didn’t want to tell you. It felt like telling you that she was going to a different school for medicine all those years ago.
And when she did end up telling you she was planning on moving, she was quite nervous and fidgety. You just felt hollow.
“Is it because of me?”
Addison was quick to assure you that it wasn’t. She said that it was difficult being at the hospital where there were a lot of painful memories for her.
You understood this, but you also didn’t want Addison to leave again.
You two kept going back and forth about it until you said something like:
“Screw them! Screw Derek, screw Mark, screw all of them. You have nothing to feel embarrassed or ashamed about. You did your best to make that marriage work. If you feel you have to leave, I get that . . . But I don’t know if I can say goodbye to you again. Having you back in my life . . . It’s like spring has sprung and the flowers are blooming.”
And oh, Addison was charmed. In that moment, she wanted to kiss you.
But, things were still a little messy. She was cautious about jumping in a relationship so soon after her divorce.
So you guys agreed to take it slow, to allow Addison to fully get over Derek.
After a couple weeks, she decided she’d stay at Seattle Grace.
Months passed and you two kept up a friendship. It was difficult to be near each other without being with each other but eventually, you guys got there.
Addison had been in the gallery one day, watching you do a difficult, intense survey. It was hours long, reaching well into the night, and she was awed by you. It was over the course of these hours that she knew she couldn’t wait any longer — she needed you.
When you finally completed the pivotal point in the surgery, Addison was on her feet clapping for you. Your eyes met and there was this gleam in them that Addison wanted to see every single day.
At the end of the surgery, she was barely able to wait for you to scrub out and change out of your scrubs. Once you did, she nearly tackled you to the floor with a hug, professing her feelings for you and apologizing for how things ended after college.
This caught you off guard, but you saw how excited Addison was. You invited her over to your house and once again, you guys had a talk over glasses of red wine. Things got sorted out. Feelings were confessed.
Addison kissed you in your kitchen, with an old romantic song on, slow dancing and dipping you, making you laugh.
The night was messy. It was tiring. It was long. But it was also perfect.
Addison spent the night there, watching over you and cooing at how adorable you were when you fell asleep. She was happy to have her arms around you and from there — your relationship bloomed just like the flowers.

Nurses United Against Mark Sloan

Marks POV: Oh wow. They really do hate me. I've just been introduced to a club called 'Nurses United Against Mark Sloan' I thought they liked the sex? Oh well, I have my eyes on one nurse and one nurse only. Y/n y/l/n. She's beautiful and amazing with patients, double whammy. Rumour had it she's single as well so, I'm gunna try get her to fall for me. Notice how I said fall for me and not get in bed with me? See, I'm a changed man.
As I'm walking to my surgery I see my favourite nurse, y/l/n.  Mark - "Hey y/n, quick question your not a part of that club are you? The uhm Nurses Hate Mark Sloan or something?" Y/N - "First of all, it's Nurses United Against Mark Sloan and no, I am not. How could I hate you, come on?" Mark - "See, and that's why your my favourite." Y/N - "Aww, I'm your favourite nurse? How cute." Mark - "Don't be a tease, anyway I've got a surgery to get to but I expect to see you at rounds." Y/N - "Yes Doctor." Mark - "I like it when you call me Doctor." Y/N - "Oh do you?" Mark - "Yeah I do, I really do but, I've got a surgery to get to so, I'll see you at rounds." I flash her a smile before I leave. God, I'm practically in love with a woman i've barley shared 4 full conversations with. This could go wrong.
Y/N POV: I've been feeling a pair of eyes on me all day but I keep brushing it off because I think I know exactly who it is. We've been on and off flirting and stealing glances and touches for weeks now but he never makes a move. In a way i'm glad because hopefully that means he want me, like actually wants me, not just the sex. So, I'm planning on asking him out after rounds and hopefully get a date.
Time skip
I've just finished rounding with Dr. Sloan and now I'm filling out charts trying to get a word in when he's rambling about the surgery he just did. If I'm completely honest, it's adorable. I love seeing him get excited about his job, it shows he cares. Once he realises I'm not really listening he speaks up. Mark - "Okay, I know, not that interesting to you I'll stop talking now." Y/N - "No! Please keep going I just need to ask you something once your finished." Mark - "Is it something about post-op treatment?" Y/N - "No more of a personal question." Mark - "Shoot." Y/N - "Wanna grab a drink at Joe's after your shift?" His face went through the five stages of grief in 5 seconds I swear. He looked shocked at first but then more confused and then just really happy. Like smiling ear to ear happy. Now he's just got a smug smirk plastered across his face. Mark - "You want to go out with me? Like get in my pants?" Y/N "No, like an actual date. If you want to of course just because we've been kinda close these past couple weeks and you know I just thought maybe you might wanna go." As I was rambling and trying to explain myself he put his hand on my arm to calm me down. Mark - "Hey, hey, hey slow down. I didn't say no did I?" At this point I was the one grinning like an idiot. I looked deep into his eyes looking for any signs that he was lying but I found none. He pulled me into his warm embrace and I just stood there for a bit with his arms wrapped around my torso and my head in his chest. He pulled away slightly so he could see my face. Mark - "You're cute when you're nervous. My shift finishes in 10, I'll meet you in the lobby?" Y/N - "Of course."
I walked to the locker room beaming. I really just got a date with McSteamy. At that point I didn't realise this but, that man was a smitten kitten and would ask me to marry him one day. I love Mark, my Mark.

3 - A Sloan Date
Tumblr media
Part 4
Feisty Coffee Girl
Running my fingers through my hair I chuckled nervously feeling my face turn red with the interns watching our interaction. “I guess I’m meeting you for the second time, Mark Sloan.”
My entire body had frozen at that moment. I reached into my pocket of my coat drawing out my phone. Scanning through my phone contacts I saw that the number had called me when I had picked up my daughter from school. “You've been blowing up my phone for almost two weeks.”
“I thought you would have called me back by now if you were interested and most people I’m with are typically interested when we first meet.” Mark responded to me shoving his hands inside his coat pockets.
Christina spoke up first behind us. “You know the Mark Sloan.”
“Not really. We only met one time when I worked at the coffee shop.” I corrected her statement before she assumed we had a long past together when we didn't.
Meredith raised a brow. “So how did you two meet?”
“He wanted a coffee and I gave him a scone recommendation. That was basically all.” I looked at the girl.
Izzie finally rounded the nurse desk grabbing me by the back of my jacket pushing me away from the coffee guy. “You listen here Mr. You stay away from her. She doesn't want anything to do with you!”
“Woah Iz dial it down a bit would ya. Nothing happened.” I pushed my way around her, not clear on what she was so pushy about. He was a guy that we were meeting for the first time. He couldn't wrong me from our first meeting.
Mark smiled at me, sending me a wink. “Don’t worry she'd have to let me take her on first before we could ever get serious.”
I felt my face turning red at his words and it only got deeper when our gaze locked onto the other. I didn't feel up to dating at the moment. I had my daughter to think about first and foremost before anybody else. “Mark, I'll at least take you up on your offer to buy me a drink.” I finally spoke towards the plastics surgeon.
“Y/n!” Izzie gasped in disgust.
Waving my hand at her I focused on Mark. “What time were you thinking or what time do you get off of work?”
“How about a quarter to never.” Izzir growled behind me.
Mark put his hands in the pockets of his dark pants. “I'd say around 7. Does that work for you?”
“That’s fine with me.” I replied back.
Someone cleared their throat behind him and we saw an older black guy standing before us. “Dr. Sloan can I see you in my office?”
“Sure chief. I'll see you tonight, feisty coffee girl.” Mark sent me a wink following him to his office on the next floor of the hospital.
Another doctor walks over to our group that had styled black hair and soft eyes that met in Meredith’s direction but says nothing for a few minutes. The man finally did say something to the group though. “So. Who’s the feisty coffee girl?”
“That would be me.” I raised my hand moving away from Izzie, extending my hand to the guy. “Y/n, Y/n Stevens .”
“Derek Shepherd. Nice to meet you. Uh I'm sorry but do you know the kid driving the wheelchair through the hospital?” Derek introduced himself before my eyes went wide, turning around on my feet.
I jumped backwards away from him when a wheelchair came running past us and I instantly saw my daughter being the one driving it through the hospital area. “Uh sorry but I have to go. I’ll see you later, Izzie. Eve!” Chasing after her it took me a good few minutes before I had caught up with her and we made our way home since I had to get ready for my date with a doctor.
“Why can’t I come with you?” Everly asked me eating her chicken bites that I had made for her in the oven.
Slipping on my tenna shoes I was standing in my bedroom with the door open so we could still talk. “Because where mommy is going tonight isn't a place for kids. Don't worry we will spend the whole day together tomorrow to make up for it.” I told my young child looking at myself in the mirror. I hadn’t been on a date in forever.
“I'll get it!” The doorbell rang with Everly opening it revealing Caroline who closed it behind her.
She sat her bag down searching for me. “Y/n, I want to see your outfit before the date tonight!”
“Does this look too simple? It feels too simple but we're just supposed to go out for drinks. I mean it isn't helping this is my first date since I had Eve basically but-” I was cut off with my best friend raising a hand.
She eyed my outfit, which was some ripped blue jeans and a light orange lace shirt that was short sleeved. I left my hair down where I had curled the ends of it to look slightly cuter. “You look cute and he clearly found you attractive in your work uniform so you shouldn’t have to worry.”
“Okay I’ll choose to believe you.” I smiled, calling my daughter over. “Everly!”
She ran over to me when I lowered myself down to a knee hugging her before I left for the evening. “Promise me that you will be super good for Caroline while I am gone.” She looped her pinky with mine and I did the same making our promise. The bar that we were meeting at was near my apartment building so I could just walk down there. Walking down a few different streets I entered the bar seeing Mark sitting at one of the bar tables.
“There’s my feisty coffee girl.” Mark smirked when I sat down on the barstool across from him sitting my bag on the edge of the table. His eyes scanned over me not dropping the smirk. “You look cuter than you did in your work uniform.”
I blushed, snorting out a laugh. “I would hope so, Dr. Sloan.”
“Dr. Sloan, you don’t gotta call me that when we aren’t in the hospital. We’re on a first name basis aren’t we?” Mark smiled with a waitress bringing over two shots of tequila.
Picking up the glass I corrected my last statement. “My bad, Mark. But if we’re on a first name basis, call me Y/n.” We both raised our shot glasses and downed the drink yet I scrunch my nose at the bitter taste not used to doing strong alcohol.
“You okay, Y/n?” Mark asked, seeing the reaction on my face.
Covering my face with my freehand sitting my glass down on the table. When I got pregnant with Eve I didn’t have my first real drink until the day she went to elementary school. “Sorry tequila ain’t my thing.”
“We can go for something lighter. I ain’t picky especially if we can meet up again.” He met my gaze, waving the waiter over to get some different shots for us. We had done about four or five different shots just talking about his job and my job.
I wasn’t sure if I could tell him about my daughter yet. Most of the time when I did guys pretty much didn’t call me back after the date or just left during the date. If it was just me and Eve for a few more years I’d be somewhat okay with that. “You really want a second date. I didn’t think a simple coffee shop girl would impress a plastic surgeon.”
“You’re not a simple coffee girl, Y/n.” Mark sat his glass down reaching for my freehand laying on the table intertwining his with mine. “There’s something about you that interests me.”
I blurted out the question feeling embarrassed the second I said it. “You aren’t just saying that so I’ll sleep with you?”
“I’ll prove it.” He responded quickly back.
A curious look crossed my face. “How ya gonna do that?”
“While we keep going out I won’t sleep with anyone else. I won’t even mention it unless you want me too. Does that seem fair?” Mark squeezing my hand waiting for my response.
Squeezing his hand in mine I agreed to the offer not knowing what I was getting myself and my daughter at some point into. “Sounds like an interesting challenge. I accept it.” The night ended with him walking me back to my building and nothing more.
Comments really appreciated ❤️
