hey i wrote a random thing? it's modern au grurch, feat. church and donut cause i wanted to practice writing donut. oh and robonuts is mentioned briefly yeah! i like dialogue okay look

   “Oh, there’s a cute guy named Lopez in tech! He’s very good with his hands.” Donut said with an exaggerated wiggle of his eyebrows.    Church laughed in spite of himself. “You’re terrible.”    “Aw, you love me.” Donut sighed wistfully. “He’s really cool, I hope I get to talk to him. I dunno, do you think he’d like me? He seemed pretty grumpy, but he listened to what I said anyway.” He chewed on his lip absently, clearly rambling. “He is really cute.”

   “Go for it, man. Who wouldn’t like you? And hey, maybe you’ll end up rubbing off on him.” Church gave an eyebrow raise of his own. Donut gasped in mock horror, swatting Church’s arm.    “In my good house, of all places!” He laughed. “Oh, wait, enough about me! I wanna hear about you! Play rehearsal takes so much time, I’ve missed my BFFL!”    “I thought Caboose was your BFF?”    “Shush, don’t change the subject.”    Church rolled his eyes. “Nothing happens with me beyond my dad sucking and school being boring.” He paused for a second. “Actually...you know Grif, right?”    Donut folded his hands in front of him, nodding.    “He’s....y’know...pretty cool.” Church said weakly. “Nevermind.”    “Oh no, Leonard Church. You are talking about your feelings.”    “What feelings?” Church tries. Donut stares at him expectantly.    “Church, you don't have to tell me anything, but..."    “Yeah...no, yeah, uh. I... I mean, I might... like Grif.”    “Like-like, or just like?”    “What are we, in middle school?” Donut stayed silent, expectant. “God, fine. Like-like.”    Donut beams excitedly. “Ah! Church! That’s so cute!”    “Shut up, it’s embarrassing, fuck you.” He moans, putting his head in his hands. “This is it. Rock bottom.”    “I think it’s sweet!”    “Of course you think it’s sweet.”

   “Church. Listen.” Church looked up and met Donut’s eyes. “Life’s short. If you like him, go for it! Knowing him, he probably likes you too, and even if he doesn’t, he won’t care and you can still be friends! You have to go for it!”    “...I hate when you’re right.”    “I’m always right!” Donut chirped happily.    “I still hate it.”

haven (aka soccer grurch) by redscout – this is so so so cute! grurch is a bit of a rarepair but this story is just. god. its so good. its really in character, and has good trans content! probably my fave rvb fic, but im a little biased

Seventh Night by anneapocalypse - this is a new one i just found but i love stuff acknowledging that carolina is jewish and this is very well written!

Lingvo by AreVeeBee - simmons trying to learn spanish being explored more is awesome!!! i love the characterization of red team in this fic too its so fun
