Bah Humbug
Pairing: Stucky x Reader Words:898 Warning: Fluff Summary: Request by Anonymous: “ Can we have a stuckyxreader oneshot inspired in the song "Humbug" by Owl City? Pretty please with cherries on top you wonderful little Santa (°3°) “ A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge. For those that are interested, I still have 21 request spots available. Just send me a request for what you would like me to write along with the character. I will write for Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Legolas, Thranduil, and Kili. Feedback and reblogs are appreciated. If you want to be tagged in future works, just drop me an ask.
Two weeks before Christmas, Bucky and Steve are sitting in their room surrounded by wrapped presents as they tick off the names of all the people they had gotten gifts for. Scanning down the page they see that everyone is accounted for except for the most important person, their girlfriend. Glancing at his watch Bucky sees that it's still early in the afternoon, the stores wouldn't be closing for a few hours so they had enough time to go shopping and get back before y/n gets home.
Grabbing their jackets, gloves, wallets, and keys, they head down to Steve's Camaro and out onto the streets of New York. Deciding the mall would be their best bet, Steve makes it to the mall in record time. First up is y/n's favorite clothing store. As they scan the racks a  canary yellow scarf catches Steve's eye. He picks it up, letting the soft material flow over his fingers. "What about this?" he asks Bucky, who shakes his head. "She already has an entire drawer full at home," he reminds the blond. He puts it back down.
Next, they wander through the bag section of the store, examining a few different options before dismissing all of them. They walk through the rest of the mall but nothing seems to jump out at them. Ultimately they give it up for a bad job and head back to the tower.
In the common room, Sam and Clint are sitting on the couches, watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. The boys slump down into an open seat and let out a matching tired sigh. "Hey, why do you look like someone just stole your eggnog?" Sam jokes lightly.
"Bah humbug," Bucky grumbles.
"What's going on?" Clint asks more sincerely.
"It's y/n. We have no idea what to get her for Christmas. She's so incredible and loving. Her gift to be as perfect as she is," Steve admits.
"How about a gift card for Olive Garden? You know how much she loves food," Clint suggests.
"Nah, man, she's more of a Red Lobster kinda gal," Sam argues.
Steve and Bucky exchange an exasperated look as the other two continue bickering back and forth.
It's the day before Christmas and the boys still haven't gotten you a gift.  Sitting at the kitchen table, they scribble down different ideas before scratching them out and crumpling up the paper. The table is already littered with discarded suggestions. Steve suddenly sits up, a gleam in his eyes that usually spells trouble.
"What if we gave her our hearts," he suggests.
"Alright, you have officially lost it," Bucky replies feeling thoroughly confused.
"You know that the Smithsonian finally sent over all of your stuff from their archives, right?" Steve asks, getting more excited by the minute. When Bucky slowly nods, Steve continues, "I looked over the contents list to make sure they didn't miss anything. On the list was the locket that your dad gave your ma when they started dating. What if we gave that to her with a picture of the three of us inside," he explains.
"Do you know in which box it is?" Bucky asks, a slow smile spreading across his face.
Christmas Day dawns bright and clear. Friday had woken everyone up at 7 am for breakfast and presents. Everyone slowly shuffled in, still clad in their pajamas and yawning into their coffee mugs. Y/n was elected to play Santa's Elf and hand out the presents. The next few minutes are filled with the sounds of ripping wrapping paper and happy squeals of joy.
When y/n reaches a small box wrapped neatly in shiny red wrapping paper with silver snowflakes and a bright gold bow both men instinctively hold their breath. She reads the card attached to it first: We know our hearts are battered, bruised, and not very pretty but we'll always be yours. Merry Christmas doll. With love from your Bucky and Steve.
Blinking back tears she shakily tears open the paper and lifts the lid of the box to reveal a beautiful golden locket in the shape of a heart. Opening the clasp, she gasps seeing a drawing Steve had done of the three of them with their arms around each other at Steve's last birthday party while fireworks went off in the background.
Bucky starts fidgeting nervously the longer she remains silent. "If you don't like it, we can always get you something else. I know it's silly and corny and I'm so-" Bucky's nervous rambling is cut off by y/n launching herself at him, kissing him soundly on his lips.
When she finally pulls back for air, she turns to Steve to give him a similar kiss. "I love it, Bucky. And I love both of you," she reassures them with a large smile and tears in her eyes. "Would you help me put it on?" she asks, turning her back to them.
Bucky wastes no time in clasping the locket around her neck and letting it settle against the hollow of her throat. "How do I look?" she asks nervously as she turns back to them.
"Gorgeous," they breathe out together as they bring her closer to tuck her in between them, watching as the rest of their family finishes opening their presents and the snowflakes descend gently from the sky outside the windows.

Month(s) in review. Okt-March.
I used to do these big month in review blogs - on this blog and my Icelandic one - for almost a year before I gave up on it. It was kinda tasking writing them and I felt a pressure (for no one but myself) to include certain things in them. Like all the shows that I was watching, the kpop groups that I liked and so forth.
And while I found myself missing doing them after a while, I wasn't really in the mood to start writing these massive posts every month. But getting an overview over and seeing what stood out when the month ended was something that interested me. So I decided to do these mini 'month in a reviews' in my tiny bullet journal.  I like documenting things, hence why I like blogging so much.
And so I did. And after having kept at it for almost six months a thought struck me. I could certainly write these little notes up and do mini 'month in review' posts on my blog. They didn't even have to be monthly. They could be quarterly, or just every six months. This blog is the result of that.
I have very limited space on each page of my bullet journal, so I didn't pressure myself to include specific things. I just dotted down things that stood out to me after each month passed. Or filled out couple of lines weekly. Whatever I was in the mood for. Some of these are of course things that I have to do (or can't forget) in that month. But it made the whole process a whole lot easier, and a lot more fun.
Some, or most of these things, aren't anything special, useful or very important. But I still think it is fun to do and to look over in couple of months time.
October 2016 - Song of the Month: 1 of 1 - Shinee
Did my review of Victoria
Decided to finally go to that six weeks creative-writing course at my local library. I really struggle with letting people read over my work.
Prepping for NaNowrimo
Decided to really try to use this bullet journal more. Been really slacking off these past months.
Booked a flight back home for Christmas.
Finally found a way to connect my phone to the wifi in my apartment.
Been watching a ton of Bullet Journal vidoes / flip-throughs on youtube for inspiration.
Goldenhands was released and I really enjoyed it.
Decided to try and knit a Gryffindor scarf.
November 2016 - Song of the Month: Playing With Fire - Blackpink.
The big Nanowrimo month. I am aiming for 50.000 words, like always.
Finish my creative-writing course and it didn't turn out as frightening as I though it would be. I sent in 4 texts for other to review.
Started Jane the Virgin and Legend of the Blue Sea.
Dropped Entourage (after one and a half episode of something) and K2.
Fantastic Beasts came out.
Very busy with Nano but it is has been good so far, even if I don't have time for some other things. I have only skipped one day so far (I blame Trump, tbh).
Nano udate: got sick for two days and only wrote 1000.
My family came over for my birthday and we went to see Mamma Mia.
That Gilmore Girl special came out.
Nanowrimo victory!!
December 2016 - Song of the Month: Wonderful - Jessica
26, 29 and 31 are the Gayo Daejun festivals.
I fly home on the 23rd and I have to fly back on the 30th.
More than a week at home during the Christmas Holiday will do me good.
I have spent way to much money already.
There is no snow. There should be snow during Christmas.
This cold is never going to go away.
I was going to keep writing after Nanowrimo ended, but looks like that isn't working out.
Dragged myself to my cousins b-day party. At least that side of the family can't complain about never seeing me for a little while.
Big Bang comeback. Mixed emotions T.T
Still no snow and it is almost Christmas eve and no Rock ptarmigan (a bird that we almost always have during christmas) this year. It doesn't really feel like Christmas.
There is this snapchat account were different lgbt+ people come and talk about being lgbt+ in Iceland. It is great! No asexual person yet, though.
I managed to get in two writing sessions before going home for Christmas.
It was of course a blizzard when I was going to go home (happens every year) but I managed to get an early flight.
January 2017 - Song of the Month: Excuse Me - AoA
I have been in a reading slump lately.
38 books set for my Goodreads challenge this year.
Saw Rouge One. It wasn't as good as I had hoped.
I am trying out this detox water thingy. Maybe it will help my skin.
I am still in a reading slump, but at least writing is finally going well.
I feel like I have spent way to much money this month. Better budgeting next month!
My skin is so dry, even if I drink so much water. I need a good moisturiser.
There is pop in our national selection for Eurovision. I could not be more pumped for this thing to start.
2ne1 and Wonder Girls left me in a span of one week (or so). #neversaygoodbye2ne1 #Thnakyouforbeingsowolderful
I have been very good at not eating snacks and candy.
February 2017 - Song of the Month: Don't Recall - K.A.R.D
Remember to buy a new bus-card. The one that you got expires this month.
27-28 of February is Bollu- og Sprengjudagur (special days in Iceland).
25. Mars is when our Eurovision season officially starts.
I finally finished Faleyjarsaga. This six part story that I have been writing (and having fun with) since April 2013. Even if I officially started it in November 2009.
Goodreads finally has a re-read option.
I am still two books behind on my Goodreads reading challenge.
I decided to try and make another last.fm account for my spotify account. Because spotify messed up my year in review last year and I am a dork.
I never thought I was a scented-candle person, but I totally am a scented-candle person.
My skin is finally doing great. Let's keep it that way.
Allirlesa (a national challenge to get people to read more) ended and I read for about 1815 minutes.I have been eating a lot of fruits lately.
the Eurovision bug has hit me with full force.
I am listening to a lot of Sergey Lazarev and K.A.R.D songs these days.
I can't find my Deathly Hallows necklace. That is bumming me out. (But I found it two days later).
March 2017 - Song of the Month: Fingertip - GFriend.
1st of March is Öskudagur (our version of Halloween). I 'dressed up' for the first time in 13 years or so.
4th of March the University of Iceland has a open day. Got to at least check out their creative-writing program.
18th of March I am going to a concert. Don't forget!
Booked a flight home over the Easter Holiday (but not all of Easter).
Hidden Version of Don't Recall released!
My mom and dad in town. They took me out to dinner.
#TeamDaði all the way (in Eurovision). If only he had gone all the way.
I am trying super hard to enjoy Eurovison, but some people around me are so damn negative about it that it's hard.
I am very drained and moody lately. Very anxious as well and emotions are right at the surface and it is hard to keep them in check sometimes. I need more alone time, I guess.
I tried to watch this British show Snatched (for the cast) but it was so bad.
I finished going over my very first story for the 10th time (or something) and then sent it to another person to tear it apart. Hopefully for the last time.
Decided I was indeed doing Camp Nanowrimo this April.
I booked a flight to the UK this summer, for about a week. Then I am going home to my family for about 3 weeks.
I bought a concealer the other day, because my skin is not good these days and I just want hide some of the redness. And I usually never wear makeup.
I am so far behind on my goodreads-reading challenge, that I decided not to worry about it.

Saved By The Mistletoe
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader Words: 495 Warnings: Creepy guys being creepy and not taking no for an answer A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge. I've never been a big fan of parties; they tended to be loud and overcrowded. I would prefer to spend the evening curled up in my bed with take-out, watching Home Alone. But I promised my friend that I would go out with them tonight. A promise that I deeply regretted when they left me alone at the bar after only 30 minutes to go grind on someone they had locked eyes with across the room.
I'm sitting at the bar, nursing my second drink for the evening when my senses are overwhelmed by the strong stench of alcohol mixed with too-strong cologne seconds before a man slides onto the seat next to mine. He orders a drink before turning to me with a lecherous smile. "Hi there, gorgeous. What is a pretty thing like you doing here all alone? Let me keep you company."
"No, thank you. I should go find my friends," I say quietly before slipping off of the seat and walking away. I can hear the man get up from his seat to follow me. I quicken my pace, searching desperately for a way to get him to leave me alone. Suddenly my eyes land on a tall, handsome brunet standing under a sprig of mistletoe. Making a snap decision, I turn course and head directly towards him. He looks up as I approach. Once I get close enough I whisper to him "Please help me. There's a guy behind me who won't take no for an answer and I don't want him to cause a scene."
Before he can answer, I grab him by the lapels of his jacket and pull him towards me, kissing him firmly on his mouth. He only freezes for a millisecond, then he's melting into the kiss, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me even closer, letting his eyes fall shut as I wind my arms around his neck, letting my fingers bury themselves in his thick hair.
After what seems like an eternity, I pull back slightly to get some air into my lungs and process what I just did. Looking up into his eyes, I don't see any of the disgust I was expecting, instead, I see only wonder and mirth. "I'm pretty sure he got the picture. I know I'm risking you slapping me, but would you like to get out of here with me? We can go get some real food and maybe talk about that incredible kiss," he suggests, breathing just as hard as I am.
"Only if we can get ice cream afterward," I bargain with a cheeky grin.
"Doll, you can have all the ice cream you want," he grins back.
"Well, in that case, lead the way, handsome," I giggle as I slip my hand into his, uncaring for the several pairs of eyes watching us exit the party.
"My name is Bucky, by the way," he introduces himself as we walk into the elevator.

A Special Gift
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader x Bucky Barnes Words: 1149 Warnings: Fluff A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge.
The Monday after Thanksgiving, Pepper and I are holed up in her office, going over the preparations for this year's Annual Stark Industries Christmas Gala. We had decided to hold it the weekend of the 19th since most people would be on leave from the 21st until the second week in January. We had just finished deciding what food to serve at the buffet when there came a knock on her door.
Grace, Pepper's assistant, poked her head into the office. "I'm so sorry to disturb you, Miss Potts. Your lunch is here," she informs us with her usual polite smile.
"Thank you, Grace. You can bring it in here, please, and then inform Maurice that I'll be sending him the final list for the gala," Pepper instructs the young woman.
"Of course, miss," Grace nods before leaving to bring in our lunch. Pepper had ordered a tuna salad, apple pie, and iced tea, while I had gone for a large chicken burger with avos and Danish feta cheese, curly fries, onion rings, and a large strawberry milkshake.
"So, the team is all gone on missions this week how about we have a girls' night? I can't remember the last time we just hung out together," Pepper suggests as she starts unwrapping her salad.
"That sounds aweso-," my sentence is cut short by the undeniable lurching of my stomach as the scent of tuna reaches me. I hurry out of my seat and to the private restroom located in the office. I make it just in time for my stomach contents to upend itself into the toilet.
"Are you alright, dear?" Pep asks, hurrying around the partition to rub my back soothingly while I struggle for breath.
Once I can breathe normally again, I stand up, wipe off my tears, and blow my nose before flushing the toilet and rinsing my mouth.
"I've had this stomach bug for a week, and nothing I do makes it go away. I can't even stand the smell of coffee without having to run to the nearest bathroom," I complain as I slowly walk back towards my seat and pull my food closer.
Pepper sits down behind her desk. "You know what, I think this can wait until later," she says before closing the salad bowl, putting it in the mini-fridge, and opens the apple pie instead.
We spend the rest of lunch trading different ideas for the gala. It's only once we've both finished eating that Pepper cautiously speaks up. "Have you thought of going to Dr. Cho to see if she can give you anything for the stomach bug?"
"I don't want to bother her with this, she has more than enough on her plate already," I shrug, not wanting to voice the real reason I haven't gone to see her.
"I could always go with you if you're scared to go alone," she offers kindly. "I can have Grace clear my schedule for the rest of the day."
"Thank you, Pep. You're a very good friend," I whisper, suddenly feeling overwhelmed with emotion.
After having Grace clear her schedule and packing up for the day, Pepper links her arm with mine as we begin the long walk to the med bay.
When we enter, I am relieved to see the area blessedly empty, except for Dr. Cho, who seems busy taking stock of all the medicines in the cupboards. She looks over at us when she hears the doors open. "Good afternoon, ladies; what can I help you with?" she asks in her gentle voice.
"I need something for a stomach bug, doc. It's been going on for a week, and nothing seems to help," I explain.
"Of course," she nods, "why don't you have a seat and I'll see what seems to be the problem," she smiles kindly before going off to fetch a pair of gloves and various implements. She takes all of my vitals, including a blood sample, which she inserts into a weird-looking machine that glows blue. "Your vital signs all appear to be normal, however, there is one more test I would like to do while we wait for your blood test results," she explains as she hands me a small plastic cup and directs me towards the restroom at the far end of the room.
Once I'm back with the sample in hand, she takes it over to a counter and does something I cannot see. After a few minutes, the machine doing my blood tests beeps softly and emits a paper print-out. Cho retrieves it and gives it a thorough read through before walking back to where I'm sitting on the exam table with Pepper standing next to me.
"I'm sorry to say, your stomach bug won't be going anywhere for the next few months, my dear," she says with a large smile.
"What do you mean?" I ask, feeling confused.
"You're pregnant!" she replies while showing me the pregnancy test in her hand as well as the print-out of my bloodwork, confirming it.
"Holy cow," I mumble to myself before looking at the two women standing before me with matching smiles. "Can we keep this between the three of us for now? Until I've decided to tell everyone," I rush to explain.
"Of course, dear. Whatever you want," Pepper reassures me with a warm hug.
Over the next week, Pepper helps me make an appointment with an OBGYN in the new year to find out how far along I am. Then she helps me decide what would be the best way to tell the team, but most importantly, Steve and Bucky.
It's Christmas Eve. The team is all gathered around the giant tree in the living room. They had already each opened a present when I stand up and clap my hands to get their attention. "I know we usually wait until tomorrow morning to exchange gifts, but I have something for each of you that I would like you to open now," I explain as I grab the gift bags with everyone's names on them and start handing them out. I watch with bated breath as everyone pulls out a knitted sweater with a Norwegian pattern of snowflakes and reindeers, across the chest the words Auntie for Nat, Wanda, and Pep, and Uncle for the guys while Steve and Bucky's both say Papa.
It takes a moment for it to sink in but then both men are looking at me with tears in their eyes, asking in croaky voices, "You're pregnant?" to which I hesitantly nodded. Suddenly I'm engulfed in their arms as they let out joyous cries, "We're gonna be parents!"
Later that night, as we snuggle together in our bed, both Steve and Bucky's hands resting on my stomach, they whisper tearily into my ear, "Thank you for our special gift, Sweetheart," before drifting off into a dreamless slumber.

Snowmen and Snowball Fights
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader (Hogwarts AU) Words: 571 Warnings: Fluff Summary: Request from @bookscoffeeandracoons : “ Hey, sweets! For the prompts: what about building a snowman with Bucky but it turns out really ugly because somehow it just doesn't work. It's a complete mess and absolutely hilarious and with every try to save it, it just gets worse. That's just something that popped into my head and made me laugh because I've never managed to really build a happy and pretty looking snowman 😆 it's either not been enough snow or it's been too powdery and just wouldn't hold the shape 😅 maybe you can do something with this nonsense, if not that's alright, too!! 💜💜 “ A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge.
The weekend before the Christmas holidays is always a cause for a Hogsmeade weekend. All the students take this opportunity to stream into the small village to buy presents for loved ones, spend time with their friends, and take a break from near-constant studying. Well, almost all the students.
On the sloping, snow-covered lawns leading to the quidditch pitch, two cloaked figures walk close together, their gloved hands intertwined. Reaching the middle of the clearing, they stop. Bucky stoops down and starts gathering snow into a large pile. Meanwhile, y/n conjures up a top hat, red and yellow striped scarf, and two sticks that look vaguely like arms with hands, which she places on the ground before bending down to help to build the snowman.
The two work tirelessly for almost half an hour to construct the base. However, as soon as they start adding snow for the middle, the entire pile crumbles. "I think the snow might be too powdery here, we should try down by the lake," y/n suggests as she holds out her hand to help Bucky to his feet.
"Lead the way, doll," Bucky grins cheerfully, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend's waist as they trudge through the snow towards the Black Lake.
Once they reach the spot they start the process all over again, but this time there isn't enough snow to form proper balls. Now growing frustrated, y/n huffs out a harsh breath and stamps her feet, trying to keep them from going numb. "This is hopeless, maybe we should just head back to the common room and forget the whole thing," she grumbles.
"Sweetheart, I promised you we would build a snowman, and that is exactly what we are gonna do," Bucky vows as he pulls her in for a tight hug.
Y/n goes to answer but is startled at the feeling of snow hitting her back, sliding down her coat. She whirls around spotting their friends Steve and Peggy walking towards them with large, mischievous grins. Peggy's gloves are dusted with snow. "Oh, you are going down, Carter!" y/n calls, bending down to scoop up a handful of snow, forming a ball and launching it at the petite brunette who hurriedly pulls her boyfriend in front of her as a shield.
Steve looks down in surprise as he receives a faceful of snow before a smirk that could rival Peeves' takes over his face. He reaches down for a snowball and promptly launches it right at Bucky. This unleashes a furious snowball fight in which all of them got at least three face fulls of snow. As the sky darkens, the four friends trudge their way back up to the castle in search of warmth.
After a hot shower and changing into their warmest, comfiest pajamas, they all curl up on the couch in front of the fireplace in the common room with mugs of warm butterbeer.
Bucky tucks y/n in close to his chest, covering them both with the extra blanket from his bed. "Sorry we couldn't build the snowman that you wanted, doll," he whispers as he places a kiss on top of her head.
"That's okay, somehow this is even better," she reassures him as she nuzzles her face into the crook of his neck and lets the heat from the fire seep into her bones, sending her into a pleasant sleep while snowflakes slowly drifted down outside the window.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader Words: 1607 Warnings: Fluff, Angst, Drugging, Mentions of assassinations, Implied human trafficking, one swear word A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge. For those that are interested, I still have 18 request spots available.
With less than a week left until Christmas Eve, the compound is silent. Steve had been gone on a recon mission in Stuttgart since just after Thanksgiving. The rest of the team were all spending time with their loved ones all over the country. I had just settled in for a Game of Thrones binge-session when Friday announces that my presence is required in the briefing room.
With a long-suffering sigh, I haul myself up from the couch and shuffle over to the elevators that would take me out of the living quarters and to the floor where all the offices, interrogation, and conference rooms are. After a short ride and even shorter stroll, I reach the right door and enter without bothering to knock.
At the front of the room stands Maria Hil, Tony, and Nick Fury. They all look up from where they are bent over a hologram when I enter. "Agent 19, you're right on time. Please, have a seat," Nick says, pointing to the chairs around the table. I take the one closest to the front.
"What is this about?" I enquire.
"What do you know about Kevin Ivanovich?" Maria asks, getting straight to the point.
"He's a former KGB operative working out of Moscow. He's responsible for the assassination of over 30 SHIELD agents, but we've never been able to catch him," I recall from the stories Nat and Clint had told me.
"We've received a tip-off from local intelligence that Mr. Ivanovich will be crawling out of his hiding place for a holiday gala hosted by Borris and Elena Makaveli. It also just so happens to be a cover for a silent auction on everything from advanced weaponry to enhanced individuals. We already have agents in place to take down the auction. But Ivanovich is known for escaping the net, no matter how tight it is. Which is where you come in," Maria explains as she hands me the folder with all relevant information. "We need you to go to Moscow, posing as the daughter and heir of a wealthy American arms-dealer, standing in for her father at the auction. We need you to charm him, get him to trust you by helping him escape the party, let his guard down. Once it is, we need you to drug him and take him to the American embassy, where I will be waiting to transport him to the Raft. Do you have any questions?"
"Yeah, I have a few questions. What is the name of my alias? How am I getting to Russia? How am I getting into the party? And when do I leave?" I ask, crossing my legs.
"The informant sent over an invitation for you. I'm loaning you a private jet with a crew that will take you directly to Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport, where a car and driver will be waiting for you. You leave in the next two hours. We thought you could pick out your alias yourself," Tony answers with his usual flamboyancy.
Once the meeting is over, I head directly to my room. I pick a large suitcase to store my clothing, toiletries, and accessories for the trip. I choose a smaller, matching case to hold my favorite knives and guns. Finally, I go to the safe in the back of my closet. Inside are several manilla envelopes with the names of my various aliases written on top. After several moments of contemplation, I take out the envelope bearing the name Alexandra Gilbert and toss it onto my bed before going back into my closet to change.
A pair of white-washed skinny jeans, a red cashmere sweater, knee-high black leather boots trimmed with faux fur, and a faux fur coat later, I'm mission ready.
A short car ride, a nine-hour-long flight, and another car ride through peak-hour traffic, I am checked into a luxurious suite at the St. Regis hotel (generously paid for by Stark Industries).
The next evening, after a day of tourist-related activities, I am dressed in a burgundy colored evening gown with golden stilettos and accessories as I ascend the steps of the Bolshoi Theatre. The guards at the entrance take a cursory glance at my invitation before directing me on where to go.
Once inside, it is easy enough to find my mark and strut over to where he is seated at the bar. After ordering a drink and an hour of flirting, one of Ivanovich's men walks over to whisper in his ear. He gives a short nod before turning back to me with a simpering smile. "It would seem the main attraction of the evening is about to start. Would you like me to escort you, gorgeous?" he asks in his thick Russian accent.
"I would be honored, handsome," I answer with a coy smile, hooking my arm through his as he leads me across the room and to a side door, hidden behind a curtain. We walk down a long hallway, my heels clicking on the polished marble floor until we reach a large, dome-shaped room filled with people dressed in their finest suits and dresses milling about the room as they peruse the items up for auction.
We had already circled the room twice when a guard bursts in shouting that SHIELD was on their way just before a flashbang went off and people dressed in black tactical gear flooded into the room.
"Follow me!" I yell at Ivanovich, pulling him behind me to the hidden door along the wall closest to us, then through another series of hallways until we reach outside of the building where a car was waiting for us.
Once in the car, I hand him a glass of vodka, which he downs immediately. Barely five minutes have passed before he is slumped over in his seat, snoring loudly. I direct the driver to turn around and drive to the American Embassy while I put Ivanovich in a pair of vibranium handcuffs, then turn to look out at the snowstorm raging outside the window.
After Maria had taken custody of the Raft's newest guest, I head back to my hotel room to change clothes, pick up my bags, and make for the airport. I had called ahead to tell the captain to get the plane ready for departure. However, when I get to the airport, all flights had been delayed indefinitely due to the storm.
With a disheartened sigh, I find a cafè and buy myself a large hot chocolate and a croissant. Sitting at a small table in the corner, I take out my phone and unlock it, staring at the picture of Steve and I with our arms wrapped around each other at Tony's Halloween party last year. We had gone as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. I briefly contemplate calling him to let him know I probably wouldn't be back in time for Christmas before a voice opposite me draws my attention.
"Excuse me, miss, but is this seat taken?" says the one voice I would recognize anywhere. Whipping my head up, I'm face to face with Steve. He looks angelic, bundled up in a blue and white sweater with a white t-shirt and light wash jeans with boots, his cheeks, and nose a rosy red from the cold wind outside.
"Steve!" I squeal as I hop out of my seat to throw myself into his arms.
"Hey, gorgeous," he grins as he wraps his arms around me, burying his face in my hair. "Fuck, I missed you so much," he mumbles.
"Language, cap," I tease while burying my face in his chest, breathing in the smell of home. After several long moments of just quietly standing together, I hesitantly pull back far enough to see his face. "I don't understand what are you doing in Russia of all places? I thought you would be home by now."
"Well, by the time the mission was over, the storm had already closed down the airport where I was supposed to take off. The guy at the office told me I might have better luck getting a flight at a larger airport. I was planning on grabbing a coffee before trying my luck at one of the airline desks when I saw you sitting here. What are you doing here?" he asks, delicately cupping my cheek as if to check that I'm real.
"I had a mission here. I was supposed to be a tourist, so Tony let me borrow one of his private jets. I was about to go home, but the plane was grounded because of the storm," I explain.
Over the next few hours, we sit in the cafè, sipping hot chocolate and just talking while we wait for the storm to pass. It's nearly midnight when I get a call from the pilot that they had been cleared to fly. Grabbing our luggage, Steve and I make a mad dash for the plane. Once we're on board, the stewardess closes the door and helps us get settled before telling the pilot that everything is ready for takeoff.
We reach New York just as the sun is starting to set. Happy is at the airstrip to pick us up and take us back to the compound, where the rest of the team and their loved ones are already gathered, for dinner.
When we stroll into the dining room hand in hand, Tony cheers, "The lovebirds are back! Now Capsicle can carve the turkey so we can eat," he grins while the rest laugh, and we take our seats at the table filled with our family.

Christmas Carol Parody
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader x Bucky Barnes Words: 342 Warnings: None Summary: Steve and Bucky learning about Christmas carol parodies. A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge.
It's two weeks through December. The Avengers Compound looks like a winter wonderland. Tony had programmed the Iron Legion to string lights all around, and between the buildings, there were life-sized statues scattered across the lawn and a giant sleigh with eight mechanical reindeer attached to the roof. Peter and I had settled down in the dining room with large glasses of eggnog and art supplies to make some ornaments to gift to family and friends.
We had already finished a few ornaments when we both started singing to the tune of Jingle Bells, "Dashing through Hogwarts, with a wand in my hand, killing curses flying everywhere, isn't his just grand, a lot of people are dead, including Fred Weasley, can't you see that being a wizard is not that easy. Oh! Jingle bells, Malfoy smells, George lost an ear, Hedwig died, and Harry cried, all in seventh year!"
As we finish the last verse and burst into giggles, Steve and Bucky walk in. "Hey, we thought we heard you guys singing Jingle Bells, but those don't sound like the right lyrics," Bucky says with a grin as he takes a seat beside me, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"That's because it's not it's a Christmas carol parody to the tune of Jingle Bells," I explain while reaching for the glue gun.
"What is a parody?" Steve asks, taking a seat on my other side and kissing my temple.
"It's a caricature of an artistic work, like Christmas carols, that exaggerates for comedic effect. It's usually slightly mean but also very funny," I explain further while twirling hot glue over the clear glass ornament in my hand.
"Do you think maybe you could teach a few to us? Or help us make up our own ones?" Bucky asks while helping Peter attach brightly colored plastic gems to a miniature gingerbread house.
"What do you think, Peter? Got enough air for a few more songs?" I tease him playfully.
"Always," Peter replies with a large grin before launching into the next song.

Tony’s Christmas Surprise
Pairing: Dad!Tony Stark x Daughter!Reader Words: 810 Warnings: Slight angst if you squint, fluff. Summary: Request from @robertdowneyhiddlesbatch : “ holiday prompt: Tony Stark deciding to not celebrate christmas this year, but ends up having the best christmas ever (when his loved ones drop by/plan something unannounced) “
A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge.
It is two weeks until Christmas, and Tony is busy working on updates for his latest suit when the ear-splitting sound of Black Sabbath cuts off to give way to Friday's Irish lilt. "Boss, you have a message from little miss. Shall I play it for you?"
Tony puts down the screwdriver in his hand and reaches instead for his cup of coffee. "Thanks, Friday, you can go ahead and play it," he says, already smiling at the thought of hearing his little girl's voice.
"Hey pops, just wanted to give you a call and tell you Europe is incredible. I'm learning so much and having so much fun. I do have a little bad news though, there's a major snowstorm expected to blow in tonight and last through the next week, so I won't be able to make it home in time for Christmas, but I'll try and be there for New Years. I have to go they're starting games night in the rec room. Love you," y/n's message ends. Tony can feel the loneliness creep up on him.
This would be the first year you've not spent the holidays together. Tony already knew that Pepper was at a conference in Beijing and Rhodey was busy doing something classified for the air force. The rest of the team all had family and friends to spend time with, so he would be alone in the compound. Suddenly, Tony didn't feel as cheerful as before. "Friday," he looks up at the ceiling.
"Yes, boss?" the AI replies softly, sounding concerned.
"Cancel protocol Santa's workshop for this year, please," Tony says before draining his cup and turning back to the armor scattering his workstation.
"Protocol Santa's Workshop terminated, is there anything else you would like me to do?" she asks, sounding almost...sad, or as sad as an AI can be.
"No, thank you. I just wanna be left alone."
It is the day before Christmas. Tony had just finished completing all the updates on his latest suit. He stands up from his workstation, stretching out the muscles in his arms and back, groaning as he feels his joints crack and pop. The compound is completely silent. Everyone had left to be with their families at the beginning of the week.
Deciding he may as well check if there is still any of the left-over dessert pastries Wanda had made, Tony slowly walks through the darkened halls towards the kitchen. As he nears the door to the common room, he can hear the chattering laughter of multiple voices and the soft crooning of Christmas carols coming through the speakers.
Rounding the corner, he is greeted with the sight of not only y/n, Pepper, and Rhodey, but the rest of the team as well. All of them are spread out around the room, decorating a gigantic Douglas Fir tree in the corner of the room, next to the roaring fireplace. There are large glasses of eggnog, hot chocolate, and mulled cider on the coffee table, along with plates of fruit mince pies, mini puddings, and fruitcake. Everyone is wearing knitted sweaters and Santa hats.
Y/n is the first to notice her dad standing in the doorway, looking as if he can't quite believe his eyes. "Hey, dad! You're just in time to put the star on top of the tree!" she grins, bounding over to Tony to give him a warm hug.
"I thought you said you weren't going to be able to make it this year," he mumbles into her hair, wrapping his arms tight around her shoulders.
"The storm shifted, giving just enough of a break to get our plane in the air before it closed in again. I picked up Pepper after she let me know the conference ended early, and Rhodey got a ride with Nat and Clint. The rest were already on their way home since the lodges were over-booked. Is it okay that we're all here?" she asks, suddenly worried her dad might have had other plans.
"Okay?" Tony asks incredulously. "Sweetheart, I've never been happier to have a home full of all the people I care about. I just have one last question; is there a sweater for me too?" he asks with a grin.
After helping her father pull on his sweater (red with white reindeer and snowflakes), y/n leads him over to the rest of their family to finish decorating the tree and polish off all the delicious treats.
It's Christmas morning. The living room is bursting with life. The whole team, along with their loved ones are sitting on the couches as they open all the gifts they had gotten for each other while devouring the breakfast y/n had made.
Tony sits back on the couch closest to the tree with Pepper curled into one side and y/n into his other. "Merry Christmas, Dad," y/n whispers.
"Merry Christmas, kiddo," Tony whispers back, his heart filled to the brim with love for his family.
