Please note: I am NOT a professional and my level of JP is very, very basic. I do this for practice and to share with other fans for fun. Please take my translations with a grain of salt as there may be mistakes. If you see any, please let me know and I can correct them. If anyone else has this card and wants to translate this at any time then please feel free to do so!

Re:vale: Happy New Year, everyone! 

Momo: I’m Momo! 

Yuki: And I’m Yuki! 

Momo: And together—! 

Yuki: We’re Re:vale! 

Audience: Kyaaaaa!!

Momo: Thank you for coming to the “Re:vale LIVE 2023 WINTER FESTIVAL!!” today!! 

Momo: I’m ultra happy to be able to start the New Year off by seeing everyone! Let’s all make it the best year ever together! 

Yuki: Our juniors have brought us through the spring, summer, and fall seasonal lives, so shall we tie it off? 

Yuki: We’ll have to make it a worthy live to finish on. Can you all get excited with us? 

Audience: Kyaaaaa!!

Momo: WHOA, so lively! It seems like you’re all ready to go! 

Momo: Then to start us off, let’s show off our outfits! 

Yuki: I’m sure everyone's curious about them, too.  

Momo: If that’s the case, then here’s Momo-chan reporting from the scene! 

Momo: Yuki-san, what are your thoughts on your new outfit? The word on the street is since it’s New Year's, it has a kimono design! 

Yuki: That’s right. I quite like the feel of the fur. And best of all, the cloth covers everything but the face, so it’s a good way to keep from the cold. 

Momo: Ahaha! I see! Then the new outfits are perfect against cold weather too! 

Yuki: Yeah. It’s also perfect for stuffing warmers in the clothing.

Momo: That’s…. Shhh! That’s something secretive! It’s embarrassing to sing with such a cool face while having body warmers stuck everywhere! 

Yuki: Then just scratch that. 

Momo: You’re posing as if we can cut it out (1), but isn't this a live broadcast– or rather, a live concert?! 

Yuki: ….. Momo, do you think I’m uncool with my warmers? 

Momo: Never! Even with warmers covering your whole body, or if you're curled up into a tiny ball in front of a heater, Yuki is the most handsome man in the entire world! 

Yuki: Fufu. It’s fine then. 

Yuki: Next up, please tell us the points of your outfit you recommend, Momo. 

Momo: Let’s seeee… I guess it’d be the mix of Japanese and Western clothing! 

Momo: It’s hakama-style (2), but there’s a fur jacket on the top, plus the belt and chain and stuff is super fashionable right? 

Momo: Although, it makes it a bit difficult to put on! 

Yuki: Oh yeah. It took you quite some time to take off the gloves. 

Momo: Exactly! During the fitting, I couldn’t even take them off by myself! 

Momo: We really pulled and struggled to help each other undress! 

Yuki: We had to get changed really quickly today so we had to get the staff to help us out.  

Momo: It would’ve taken us way longer if we did it on our own!

Momo: But also, isn’t this stage amazing? Re:vale finally built a castle! 

Yuki: It really is amazing.

Momo: So, this may be sudden, but here’s Momo-chan’s Quiz for Yuki! 

Yuki: That really was sudden. What is it? 

Momo: What’s my favorite thing about this stage? 

Yuki: For this stage…? 

Yuki: …. Isn’t it our castle? During our rehearsals, you looked really happy and took a lot of pictures. 

Yuki: You were happy like you were lord of the castle. 

Momo: You remembered me in so much detail, Yuki…. The points are through the roof…! 

Momo: But… not quite! 

Yuki: It's something else? 

Momo: Of course I like the castle too, but… I like the snow (3) the most! 

Yuki: Snow…? 

Momo: I’m so happy I get to start the year singing on a snow-covered stage with Yuki!

Yuki: Fufu…. What a cute thing to say.

Yuki: In that case, the next time we do an outdoor concert we'll have to have some peach blossoms planted. 

Yuki: Since I also want to sing on a peach-covered stage with Momo. (4) 

Momo: Yuki……! 

Yuki: Let’s have another live when the peach blossoms bloom. It should be a bit warmer than it is now. 

Momo: You have a point! But, it’s still cold…… So for now, let us warm you up with our songs!

Momo: Next up will be a song that will slowly warm your hearts.

TL Notes: 

This card has little chibi versions of the characters talking so their facial expressions and poses change, so during this part Chibi!Yuki is crossing his arms into an X, as if to say “Cut!” 

Hakama is a traditional type of Japanese clothing that is worn over kimonos. You can find out more information about them here. 

This is a play on words off of Yuki’s name since 雪 (yuki) means snow so there's a double meaning here.

Just like the previous note, this is a play on words off of Momo’s name now since 桃 (momo) means peach. The literal translation for this line would be something like “I also want to sing on a stage surrounded by Momo/peaches.” but I worded it to pair with Momo’s line before it so it would sound a little more natural while still keeping the double meaning.

DAY 8: LITTLE DUCK

I’m gonna talk about a bunch of  Mighty Duck OC children no one wanted to hear about. FUN TIMES.

Duke and @fluxchix OC Gallery have two kids. 

Luke, who's the oldest of all the earth duck kids. I just explained him, do I have to explain to him again? NGhhhhhh. Well, as a kid since he was the first kid born and was the only kid around for several years he started out being spoiled by the whole team with some IT TAKES A VILLAGE raising. Everyone from the canon team and other OC teams we had made have baby sat this child at least once.  He pretty much looks exactly like Duke but a little bit lighter grey. And he has his mom’s eye color which I forget what that was. SORRY.

Their second kid is Mollisa. She was the most quiet of all the kids, but not meak. Just a good sweet little quiet child and not a shit starter like the other half of the kids that were had. Looks a lot like her mom with her dad’s eyes (Green is what we headcanoned for Duke  I think?)

So I have Nosedive and my OC Duluna L’Orange. Duluna being Duke’s little sister. Their daughter is name Mercedes because Nosedive decided to name her that because she ended up being born in the back of Phil’s Mercedes.  Looks more like her dad, yellow feathers but black hair and green eyes like her mom. SUPER CUTE. Unbiased opinion but the most cutest of all the duck babies okay. Phil would probably have her in a gerber baby ad who knows. As a kid she calls Grin SMILE instead. Ha. And very giggly. Woo. And very much a daddy’s girl and gets away with everything.

Sooo I ship Tanya and Wildwing and their kid was Tayshia. Their daughter was smart tech like Tanya and also good leader when it came to tactional moves. As a kiddo she used to get in shenanigans with Mercedes but at some point switched to acting like a little adult and narcing on the other duck children when they were causing trouble. She looks more like her mom but, um ,flatter hair. And Wildwings eyes, which I headcanon brown. Where she learned to be a little snitch we’ll never know. 

Grin has three kids with @fluxchix OC Nina. Mind you we named the kids back in high school and we made the older son named Karma and then two twin girls later be Dharma and  Krystal and it bugs me this day because the twins should be Karma and Dharma to match and then the big brother should have a different name AHHH. Anyways. Their mom Nina is a duck frum Cheribu, a planet where centuries ago Saurian and Duck crossbreeding was happening- ending up with ducks with brightly colored feathers, hair, and beaks. Nina is pink feathered but only one kid got that. Ha.

Karma is pretty much a clone of Grin but blonde, same feathers and eyes and everything. But has  I guess California hippie guy energy. I mean still metatitive and stuff, and usually the chillist out of all the kids, breaking up fights between the fellow kid ducks and what not. 

Dharma and Krystal weren’t as fleshed out as much as characters. Krystal though is supposed to be buff and big like her dad and got her mom’s pink feathers. Dharma is tinier like her mom but still quite a fighter too. Oh BOY.  I can’t explain how two children can be well behaved but also rough house with each other a lot but that's them. 

Mallory has twins with @fluxchix OC Crono. Crono is the leader of the second team that comes to Earth (Gallery is from that team too MINOR DETAIL) Her twins were born much later and were never really fleshed out. Their nicknames were Blaster and Caster. Both redheads. Like their mom. They look identical but one is a boy and the other a girl and I don’t remember which is which. Gender is a construct anyways. These two also rough house a lot. Blaster becomes a weapons expert and Caster a magic user. CLEVER NICKNAMES SEEEE. 

Then there is Maestro that is Canard and Lucretia’s baby that happens in limbo. He falls out of a portal at age 13 into California. Ha. He has his mom’s purple hair and dads brown feathers (but a little lighter?) and bright blue eyes which I don’t remember what parent he got those from ha. Rather sweet kinda shy boy but his mom taught him how to fake confidence in  intense situations so people don’t bully you. Whee. Maestro is actually a nickname given to him by some good Saurians they were hanging around with in Limbo.. Canard named him after Wildwing his BEST FRIEND. Maestro actually spent more time with his mom before landing on Earth and weirdly would go by Wildwing Decoy if he could. SO WEIRD. But yeah.

Kumon: Hyodo Kumon! Currently a second-year in high school! My blood type is A, and my birthday is July 20! My hobbies are watching baseball and collecting jerseys! Umm, also…

Yuki: A brocon.

Kumon: Ah, right, right! I’m a brocon!

Tenma: Don’t say that so proudly…

Kumon: But “brocon” means “you love your big brother”, doesn’t it? I really, really looove my big bro! So I’m a genuine brocon!

——Now that their talk has heated up, let’s move on to the next topic. What are your honest impressions now that your 4th performance has finished? Also, how was Kumon-kun’s acting?

Kumon: You’re asking about my acting too!? Asking that is scary… I’m nervous…

Muku: Kyu-chan, are you ok? Your face is getting pale…

Kumon: I think I improved from the time of my initial audition, but there was never a day where I could say all my lines smoothly…

Kazunari: Nobody minds that, ‘kay?

Kumon: I messed up my standing position too, and somehow managed to get everyone to follow through for me…

Misumi: That happens all the time~. We’re a team, so it’s natural to help each other!

Kumon: There was also a time I was too flustered during my quick-change and the button on my shirt came off…

Yuki: Seriously, you're lucky I was waiting in the wings at that time, right?

Kumon: There were countless times where I accidentally talked over Tenma-san’s lines too… I only caused trouble for everyone…

Muku: …

Misumi: *Stare*…

Kazunari: …

Yuki: …

Tenma: W-why are you guys looking at me like that?

Yuki: No reason. We’re just wondering if you’ll say something to this infamously negative guy.

Kazunari: Your speech here is important! Leader Tenten!

Misumi: Go Tenma~!

Muku: I’ll whisper too…! Umm… Tenma-kun! Please be kind to him!

Yuki: Muku, that definitely wasn’t a whisper.

Muku: Haa! I accidentally put power into it…

Tenma: You guys are just hyping it up as you like! …*Sigh*. It’s true, Kumon’s acting was clumsy and he had a lot of misses.

Kumon: Yeah…

Tenma: But, everyone’s like that in the beginning, and we were able to make it safely to the closing night. You picked up on the adlibs well and you’re the one who carried the baseball scenes for us. Good job. You did well.

Kumon: Tenma-san…

Muku: That’s so great, Kyu-chan…!

Kazunari: Ohoho~, Kumopi and Mukkun have been moved to tears. It makes me remember the curtain call on our closing night~.

Tenma: You guys are overreacting…

Yuki: Well, your acting will improve as much as you want from now on.

Misumi: I like Kumon’s earnest and straightforward acting~.

Tenma: …And there you have it. You can make proper use of your failures in our 4th performance for our 5th performance. But aside from the troubles and failures… Even though it was your anticipated debut stage, are those really your only impressions?

Kumon: Eh…

Tenma: Do you have nothing else to say after you stood on stage for all those days and did your best at acting comedy?

Kumon: …It was fun. The play we put on with everyone was super fun! So I thought I wanted to act more and more with everyone as the Summer Troupe!

Tenma: Geez, see, you do. That’s the most important thing, alright?

Kumon: Ehehe, yeah!

——It looks like Summer troupe’s bond has grown stronger. “First Crush Baseball” was a baseball-themed story, but if you all were to watch a game, would it be baseball? Or another sport?

Kumon: It’s definitely baseball for me! Of course I like playing it, but as expected, watching baseball is the most fun!

Muku: I guess it’s baseball for me too. I’ve been going to watch Kyu-chan’s games, and we’ve been watching baseball on TV together since a long time ago.

Kazunari: Samesies~. I really started liking it after performing it on stage! I’m especially attached to second base!

Tenma: You do get interested in the position you played yourself, huh? I can’t help but watch it when it’s broadcast, and my eyes always drift towards the catcher too.

Misumi: I get it, I get it~. I’m also into baseball! Since the shape of the home plate is like a triangle~.

Tenma: Is that why!

Kumon: Ohhh! The baseball lovers have increased! I’m super happy~!

Yuki: Hmm, I don’t particularly have a sport, but anything apart from soccer.

Muku: Eh? Yuki-kun hates soccer?

Yuki: I don't particuarly like nor dislike soccer itself, but when it’s on TV, those guys’ cheering gets so fired up that I can’t stand it. The temperature in the room rises.

Tenma: (Winter troupe’s) Tasuku-san and them, huh…

Kazunari: Eh! It’s rare for Tax and them to get so hyped-up, so it’s fun and I like watching it together with them.

——And so, your 5th show is currently underway, is that right? Since the play is about ninjas, there are all sorts of actions scenes, but did you undergo any special training?

Tenma: We watched videos of Autumn Troupe’s plays and used them as reference on how to utilize our movements and spacing in action scenes.

Kazunari: It’s hard when you try doing it though~. Four guys moving around on that narrow stage looks awkward if you don’t figure out a way to showcase it.

Tenma: We got Director and (Autumn Troupe’s) Sakyo-san to watch us countless times, and then finally solidified it.

Muku: At first, we were worried we wouldn’t be able to keep up with Misumi-san’s agile movements, but when we tried it, we were able to catch up and move with the tempo too so it actually went well.

Yuki: Saying the Triangle Alien’s movements are agile is putting it lightly.

Kumon: Sumi-san’s kunai handling was super cool too!

Misumi: Ehehe~ thanks~.

Tenma: I’m glad the Summer Troupe doesn’t have anyone who’s seriously bad at exercising.

Kazunari: Strictly speaking, the only one who’s unathletic in our Theatre Company is (Spring Troupe’s) Itarun, right~? (Winter Troupe’s) Azu and Arinrin both don’t like excercising either, but it’s not like they’re unathletic.

Yuki: More than a miracle, it was thanks to that gamer’s obsession that he was able to get through the Spring Troupe’s 5th play.

Muku: We have to do our best too so we don’t run out of stamina until our closing night!

Kumon: Alriiight, then let’s run home today! We’ll go on a run!

Tenma: Yeah, I’ll pass.

Kazunari: Good luck, Kumopi!

——Speaking of summer, it was Yuki-kun and Kumon-kun’s birthdays a little while ago, right? Did you all throw a birthday party together?

Kumon: We sure spent a long time thinking together about what kinda design we should go with for Yuki’s birthday cake.

Tenma: Well, it’s because Yuki’s fussy about designs. It was a relief Kazunari did a good job of getting everything down into an illustration.

Yuki: The sugar candy torso was cute. Thanks.

Misumi: We struck out together on Kumon’s birthday~!

Muku: We went with a cushion that was modeled after Sakura High's uniform, and we were really glad Kyu-chan accepted it just like we hoped he would!

Kumon: I’m super happy with it already… and it’s a treasure of a lifetime for me! But since it’s a nice chance, I’d be so happy if we could all have matching ones together someday.

Tenma: That’s true. How about it, Yuki?

Yuki: …Well, I’ll make one for everyone if I feel like it. Personally, I like Sakura High’s uniform too.

Kumon: Yay—! Thanks, Yuki!

Yuki: The hack can make his own though. I’ll teach him how to make it.

Tenma: Haa!? Why am I the only one who has to make it myself!

Yuki: Because you’re Tenma.

Tenma: That’s not a reason!

一一Thus, we’ve ended up hearing a sorrowful story about the Smaragd Volcano.

Long time ago...the resources of this volcano were so abundant that the mineral-mining was just being continued. 

One day...a man who was working there fell in love with Reis who lives in the underground lake. 

It was rather unusual story as Reis and Vampire to become lovers, however in order to live with Reis, 

That man has deceived a vampire woman and gave her body to his beloved.

It’s because...unless Reis isn’t possessed by some person, she cannot leave that area where she was living. 

But she was binded with the fate of getting erased away if she leaves that place.

Despite not for being used to that, those two were spending happy days together.

The only one thing that Reis appreciated in her life as a Vampire was...marshmallow.

...However, that happiness didn’t continued to last long.

One day, the main owner of the body that Reis had possessed over got awakened and 一一

Ended up killing the man.

Reis who was shivering in anger had killed the woman whose body she had taken over and relied on at that time…

As a result, she disappeared…

That man is wandering around the volcano to find his beloved Reis even now...

Erik & Sao: Yes captain!

Captain Haggis: Doesn't matter, you don't disrespect me regardless.. Let's go. *Walks forward*

Sao: get up off the ground you Sissy.

Sao: no.

Ethnicity talk?

idk, I remembered that it’s a little too easy to imagine everybody as white if not specified otherwise? Might not be a problem you’ve got but I felt like giving a bit more on the characters.

Let’s start with the short and simple part:

Tugger is Malaysian. There’s the entire short and simple part, done and gone. (oh, and by extension Munkustrap and a mysterious Macavity) Btw, do you think Tugger bleaches his hair to orange or leaves it black?

Bomba and Demeter are Argentinian(my homage to Evita). They’re first gen immigrants, aka their parents were born and raised there. Also, I remembered that since my Bom and Dem aren’t twins they probs should be in different grades and I think I’m going to make Dem the older of the two. So let’s assume for a little while that Dem is actually a freshman in collage and Bomba is a high school senior. Might actually think more on this. However, a Dem that repeated a grade and ended up in the same grade as her younger sister would be interesting. hhhmmmmmm

ok, ummm Misto, or maybe we’ll call him Quaxo, then again, I’ve been wanting to have a Mistoffelees nicknamed Mistee (pronounced like misty) for a while. So, uh. right, He’s probs half Japanese, half American (ethnicity behind there, idk.. British??). He has duel citizenship (his siblings as well). Him and Vic have near guaranteed acceptance to *enter Prestigious American(?) Ballet or Dance college here*. They moved to the US with their Uncle B. to get more accustomed to the language and culture. Maybe we’ll find out what the deal is with their parents another time,,,, we’ll seeee. I think they have very good English, accent is very American(?)

okay one more brief medication bitching because im in a mood

i gotta say having to take serious medication to get back to the point i was at before which is/was,  not even that amazing, is pretty frustrating. i feel better than i was the last six months but cmon i have to deal with these annoying side effects and all ive done is plateued back to “eh acceptable i guess”? ugh! 

oh well whatever maybe im just grumpy bc im tired. it IS better than i was before. and my doctor said i could potential up my dose after six months so who knows we’ll seeee i guess

Happy New Years Eve everybody! This spread is a “diary entry” of my trip to south lake tahoe last week. Although this is done in my previous journal, I’m hoping to having more travel logs in my new journal so in the future I can go back and look at all the places I’ve been through my own eyes. 

Also one new years resolution I have for this blog is to start posting art/sketches/experiments so.... I guess we’ll just have to wait and seeee :D
