More overcomplicated dragons.

I knew the RainWings would be really important, and I think they turned out the best of all the ones I've done. I think they're my favourite because they are basically the perfect mix of extra realism spice without altering Joy's design too much. The SkyWing design is awesome and I love it to bits, but it is one of the two that are the farthest from canon.

As for the RainWing.... I had. So. Much. FUN. I heavily used chameleons and snakes - they're basically the two main species on my research board - but there is a dash of cuttlefish and frilled lizard in there. Where, you ask? Well if you look closely, all over the RainWing are little tiny flecks of darker colour. I found a beautiful reference of a close-up on a cuttlefish eye. Its skin is dotted in thousands of little marks and I thought that would be perfect for the RainWing, who can camouflage just as well as them. I don't know if it's been discussed in canon but I bet they could animate their scales more than just colour shifting - cuttlefish are known for using their rapidly shifting patterns to hypnotize prey. RainWings could do it too, sort of like Ka from Disney's 2D animated Jungle Book.

Speaking of Ka - snakes. I love snakes. The head structure of the RainWing here is very smooth and rounded with muscles based on snakes like the python. I was even going to originally draw them in a venom striking pose and got as far as completing the lineart, but ultimately decided it wouldn't fit the calm portraits of the other tribes.

Will you see it in the future? Hell yeah! Pure, unhinged, magical death spit. Looking at it now I might try to alter it to be a full piece of Glory attacking Scarlet or Crocodile.

In the striking pose you can see the frills much better, but I still took my time on this serene pose (this is where the frilled lizard influence comes in). If you notice that I've drawn every scale (every single scale) then, yes, I am insane. If you didn't know that yet, you know it now. You have to draw guide lines and follow them meticulously while you wonder why you don't make a scale brush, and then cry because you know the randomness and imperfections that come from drawing a thousand circles is how it looks natural. The eye area is actually my favourite part, since drawing dragon eyelids was the original inspiration for doing this. Did I mention that? I wanted to draw eyelids.

EYELIDS.

I digress. Besides the eyelids, I like the frills on the action pose, but this pose is where I like the body scales more. When zooming in on my chameleon colour refs, I noticed the very rhythmical distribution of their scales and figured I would give it a try. They actually do have extra large circular scales along their bodies, which is where I guess the canon RainWing design gets it from. Very clever, Joy!

Anyway, on this version, those small circular scales appear on the face. Not only that, but I added a bit of influence from the snouts of my ref chameleons by extending the nose bridges to wrap around the nose horn. They blend in so seamlessly and that's the reason why I love this design - it's subtle, barely there, mostly Joy but a little extra.

Or was it 3-6? Idk, but it was shockingly short, and ever since then I've tried to encourage myself to pay more respect to other artists and glean their work for little details I skip after that quick glance. I could talk so much more about these designs but that would be like an hour long video, each, lol. If you have questions about anything, ask away!

"He's so fucking annoying," Lucas said, pointing at the boy on the TV, complaining to the ref about some foul he might or might not have committed. Lola sighed.

"He seems passionate..." she said, but it was the wrong thing.

"You only say that because he's pretty. All the girls love him and they have zero ball knowledge."

Lola didn't reply, because he was right in a couple of things. She had no idea about football, and the boy on the screen was cute. But that was not why she had said that. She just felt like Lucas was being a bit unreasonable. Either way there was no point in arguing. If Lucas decided Gavi was annoying, she had no chance to change his mind.

The game progressed and Lola stopped paying attention. She had been the one to offer to watch it with him, but it was clear Lucas abhorred her questions or remarks. She checked her phone, noticing that her secret online friend had not replied yet.

She had met Pablo by accident, when he started following all of her playlists on Spotify and tracking her Insta account to follow. He had excellent music taste, if she could say so, and never devalued her tastes and interests.

He was a very good friend, Lola thought. She wished she could actually meet him in person, since they both seemed to live in Barcelona, but Pablo had been reluctant every single time.

She guessed it was for the best. Lucas would go crazy if he heard that she was meeting some guy alone.

"Fucking asshole, he's such a fucking cunt," Lucas was complaining about Gavi again, who was now forehead to forehead with one of the Madrid players—Lola did not know which one. "He's not even talented he only knows how to foul people."

Lola did not reply, letting Lucas vent. She was pretty sure she had seen the guy pull some impressive dribbles and stop more than one attack without fouling, but she was no expert.

And it was not her problem, anyway.

Pablo replied hours later, apologising because he was at work. Lola had already realised that whatever job he had, the hours were weird as fuck. There was a time she even theorised he might have been a stripper, but abandoned the idea later when she realised he also worked in the weekdays.

lola_garrido: I've heard a couple of songs, but not all. Sounds cool though

Lola was not really into that style of music, but from time to time she liked dipping her toes on it. Pablo was more broad in that sense. His playlists were crazy diverse, songs from different styles and eras all clashing to convey whatever mood he wanted.

Lola heard Lucas exit the shower, which meant her time with Pablo was over.

lola_garrido: my boyfriend's back gotta go <3

Lola smiled at Lucas when he got back to the room. He was in a bad mood because of the defeat, Barça had demolished Madrid 0-4.

Lucas fell into the bed with her and started kissing her neck.

"Not today," she said almost immediately. He relationship with Lucas had died out months ago. She would have broken up with him back then if it wasn't for the state of the housing market in Barcelona. The apartment she shared with Lucas was small, but it was a gift from heaven when it came to the price, affordable for a young couple. Lola has been searching for a room somewhere, without luck, and until she was sure she could have a place to fall back, she could not break up with him.

It was not wise.

"Oh, c'mon, you never want to," complained Lucas.

"I'm tired."

"You're always tired. You did nothing tiring today."

Lola rolled her eyes.

"I don't want to, Lucas," she muttered. "That should be enough."

Lucas hissed in frustration, and turned on the bed. Lola stared at his back before grabbing her phone again.

lola_garrido: he woukd have a meltdown. he always does when I talk to a man for more than 3 sec

lola_garrido: is it a problem?

Lola bit her lip. She had already pissed Lucas off. The last thing that she wanted was to drive Pablo away too.

pablo306: no its just

pablo306: I was wondering if you'd like to meet that's all.

lola_garrido: I would love to

pablo306: but if its going to get you in trouble with your bf I don't want to. I don't want to get in any trouble

lola_garrido: well having a friend its not cheating. he can't be mad about that, no?

pablo306: you'd be surprised

Lola was pissed. Her relationship with Lucas was worse every day, but the fact that Pablo refused to meet her because he did not want to trigger him in some noble gesture broke the camel's back.

She was tired of feeling like she was chained to a boy who only wanted one thing and one thing only, who never really asked her about anything and would only monologue about his interests. That never even tried to listen to the music she loved.

Lola was mature enough to recognise that at some point she had developed a crush on Pablo, whoever that boy was. She wished she could see a picture of his face. Pablo had no prophile picture, no image showing his face on his account. He knew what she looked like, but she didn't know him.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she arrived home and found Lucas with a girl on his lap, kissing her neck.

Lola did not scream, did not cry. She took a step back and left their home again.

lola_garrido: I hate it here.

lola_garrido: do you know anyone that needs a roomate?

pablo306: my sister actually

pablo306: let me text her

pablo306: is everything okay?

lola_garrido: found Lucas with another girl

pablo306: send me your address. I'll be there to pick you and your things up

Half an hour later, an expensive looking car parked in her street. A boy her age jumped out, immediately walking towards her. Lola vaguely recognised him: he was that player Lucas hated so much, Gavi.

But he called her name, and she realised with a mixture of horror and irony that he was Pablo, her Pablo. Lola melted into the hug, trying to quiet her mind from the thousand questions assaulting her.

"Should I call you Pablo or Gavi?"

He smiled, thin lips revealing pointy teeth.

"No one calls me Pablo."

"Gavi, then."

It would take a while, for her to conflate the image of Pablo with the concept of Gavi, but she'd manage. Lola followed him up to her own apartment, crossing paths with a very embarrassed mistress that refused to look into their faces.

"That's a downgrade," muttered Gavi when she was out of sight. Lola flushed. Lucas met them by the front door. His hair was a mess, his expression was crazed out.

"Lola, I'm sorry I can explain, I—" he cut himself when he realised who was with her. "What—"

"If you don't mind, we have to pick up some stuff—" Gavi pushed past Lucas, who was gaping at them.

"You were cheating on me?" He had no business sounding so outraged. Lola pushed past him too.

"No. I just happen to have kind friends."

They locked themselves in the bedroom, Gavi helping Lola put all of her clothes in a suitcase and all ofbher school things in her bag. He was oddly organised, the discipline that had taken him to the highest level coming in handy.

Lucas kept calling from the outside, screaming and arguing alone, trying to get them to snap.

Lola could only watch Gavi, who she had pegged for a highly emotional person, carefully arranging her sweaters, doing a perfect job at ignoring her boyfriend.

Once they were ready to leave, Lola unlocked the door. Lucas was immediately upon them, but they kept ignoring his taunts and claims.

"I'll be back later this week to pick up the thing that are left," Lola told him. She did not care to argue. She wasn't sure when she had become so indifferent to Lucas, but it was nice to know he had no power over her.

"She's not worth it, bro," attempted Lucas. "Dhe barely wants to fu—"

Before Lucas could finish the sentence, that already had Lola flinching, Gavi dropped the bag on the floor and grabbed her ex-boyfriend by the collar of his shirt, slamming him against the wall.

"Shut the fuck up," he threatened. It was hard for Lola to picture her funny and witty Pablo with the harsh Gavi in front of her. His big brown eyes were fixed on Lucas, the decisive anger she had seen during matches directed towards the boy. "If she's too much of a woman for you, that is your issue, not hers."

Gavi dropped Lucas, whose hatred fro the Barça player was quietened by his fear. Then Lola understood one thing. That fiery, angry side of Gavi only came out when he had to protect the things he loved. In the pitch it was his club, but here... it was her.

Gavi offered Lola his hand, and they descended back to the street together, fingers interwoven like the songs in their joint playlist.

"Let me take care of you, alright?" He asked, lifting her hand to his lips. Lola sighed, as the sun hit her face. Finally, she felt loved.

hi would you ever post your drawing process? i’ve noticed you do research when it comes to stuff like finding references to age up characters properly, making the characters’ styles accurate for their time, etc.

sometimes you don’t realize how much goes into art besides the sketches, drawing, rendering, all that stuff, so the little things like that which make a big difference in the end is so cool to notice, you’re a really inspiring artist for me! your art style is incredible and i’d love to see what goes through your head before drawing something, if that’s alright with you ofc.

like what’s your inspiration? what shaped your art style? do you use references and how often bc sometimes i see some poses you draw and think ok there HAD to be a reference used for this bc it’s too good but i understand finding refs for what’s going on your head is difficult a lot of times so i just chalk it up to you being skilled enough to guess how the anatomy would work (so much praise for artists like that because??? insane talent! not to say using refs makes artists less skilled or anything 😭😭 hope it didn’t come off that way)

I usually get ideas of what I want to do, but it’s not until I open the canvas that my hand just knows what to do I guess? There’s times when I can just paste what’s in my head on the canvas and times when I struggle more and I have to look for references/trace poses (which are usually me with really bad lightening around my room or yeah, pics from pinterest)

lol funny story, my one drawing of James, Lily and Harry dancing I recorded myself dancing and got screenshots of that to base the poses on…. I accidentally sent one to a person that was commissioning me at the time, most embarrasing moment of my life

ANYWHOO! In terms of clothes, I have a board for every character where I put like what I think their style entails. Cause I like it when they look like teenagers in the 70s

Here’s my process when i just vomit my idea on the canvas

there are some where I don’t have the patience or the project is too big (ex. the panels) and figuring out the anatomy would be too time consuming, so i trace the pose but i’ve been trying to do that less and less to make myself actually work and get better at anatomy

and what shaped my artstyle? wow that’s a hard question lol, idk

I think i’ve picked things from artists i’ve liked and just created a frankenstein of it, little by little and without realizing it.

not that my art looks ANYTHING like theirs, but these are some of the artists that have inspired me a lot through my art journey

Old Sonic sketches that would lead to my Lost Prince AU(Slight spoilers & lots of rambling)

As the title says this was stuff for a past version of my Sonic stuff before I made my Lost Prince AU. I guess you could say I've been working on this stuff for a long time & these are in a sense the stepping stones to my stuff.

The dates for when I scanned stuff is on the pic cause it's interesting to learn how old these are & cause I had to edit stuff due to images being too light when I scanned them(plus everything was saved as a bmp because png files opened photoshop & I didn't know how to fix it as a kid) but if they're not there I'll mention the date if it's mentioned in the DA posts I got these from in my gallery.

I've put a keep reading due to how long this is(as if I haven't left other long posts without it in the past) & also because it's slightly spoilery for my Lost Prince stuff. Things have been edited/redone over time but there's still some stuff that would be a spoiler for later events in my stuff. I also ramble a lot in this & at points mention stuff meant to go in the current version to show similarities or differences between the old & present versions.

Just a heads up my self-insert Sonicsona cause for some reason I'm just there at points. My Sonicsona went threw a few designs changes when I was younger. This was also before I became a guy.

Another warning is that this was back when I didn't like Amy as much so she's not exactly drawn in a good light at points.(In the more current version I've worked on things)

There's also a bizarre thing at the end that also mentions weird crossovers(scrapped ideas that will make sense later) & mentions of violence. I'm sorry I just thought I'd explain some of this weird plot that has been changed over the years. Again a lot of this is no longer in my version of Sonic.

The moment Sonic disappeared after Sonic Underground. I think I was working on a comic for the series(too ambitious & too much to deal with at the time) with this being a prologue page.

For context Knuckles tried to save Sonic from falling off Angel Island while it was raining & Sonic let go because if he knew neither he nor Knuckles would survive falling off the island if this kept going. The dialogue is muted by the rain, I dunno the context behind Sonic being struck by lightning was because I don't have it in my current stuff.

You read this like a manga page.

Images of Sonic while living with his dad after Jules found him when Sonic some how survived the fall from Angel Island.

Jules wasn't originally a mage studying chaos energy just some guy with powers thanks to his studies in chaos energy which he used to heal Sonic. In this he has a locket with him & Sonic in it, I have no idea why there's a doodle of Shadow & Sonic since Sonic won't meet Shadow for 50(in the new one technically 40) years. I think this is a ref to scrapped stuff involving an OC of mine named Kiku that was at one point meant to be Sonic's reincarnation before I scrapped stuff.

A moment of Jules being a parent & cleaning up Sonic I think possibly after finding Sonic.(I'm guessing this since Sonic is catatonic/dissociating due to injuries & amnesia so he wouldn't have tried to run around)

This is based off of a scene from Digimon Tamers I watched as a kid from a scene meant to be a flashback of Jeri being cared for by her dad.

I think this was meant to be comic pages in the style of a photo album. Going off the top pics this is going in a Z or zig zag instead of manga panels like the prologue comic.

First/top row:

So a difference between then & now is that the past version of Jules when he was unable to care for Sonic anymore left him with Vanilla & her husband(this was before I made Cake) while current Jules left Sonic at a hidden home. I think the idea was that Sonic Underground happened only a couple years back instead of 50-40 years ago. Because Vanilla & her spouse weren't born back then & I dunno where Chuck was Jules ended up keeping Sonic alone for safety instead of getting help when Jules couldn't keep an eye on him.

Anyway these two pics are Jules leaving Sonic with Vanilla & her spouse cause he trusts them to keep him safe. Sonic just sits there on the couch.

Second row:

-I have no idea how this guy died, Cake died helping clean up leftover Robotnik bases but that's an idea from later on. Prototype Cake left behind a wife, a baby daughter & an adopted son that kind of blames himself.

-Sonic starts to express himself more as he starts to accept he's in a better place. Here he is interacting with toddler Cream who has started to walk.

Fourth/Bottom Row:

-Old design of my Sonicsona with an ex friend's OC Tae, they're only an ex-friend because we don't talk anymore. We kinda drifted apart & I mistakenly weirded her out cause I didn't know how to tone things down until later on.(Also kind of weird due to my wild imagination with weird crossovers & shit) I could go into more detail but I'll just leave it there cause this isn't about past relationships.

I put this in with the post I made with all my past Lara stuff(as in "Fuck you Ken, *makes Lara-Su a Knuxouge kid*" shit), once again I don't know why I gave a child version of her teen Lara's outfit.

So at some point Eggman blinds Sonic & Sonic has been trying to get as far away as possible after escaping. I had no idea when I drew this that Angel Island was a thing thanks to most of my understanding of Sonic coming from fandom stuff & especially Sonic X which either doesn't mention Angel Island or I missed the episode/episodes that do mention it. So pretty much Sonic(after getting patched up & his eyes covered) is wandering the forest & manages to find Lara who is playing out there & decided to play guard.

For some reason I remember that Sonic has no idea who Lara is & Knuckles/Rouge never told him not Lara who each other are. I have no idea why that is & that's been fixed in the present version. Anyway Lara thinks he's a stranger that's getting too close to where the Master Emerald is. I don't remember how this goes but things are eventually sorted out & Sonic is introduced to her later on.

This is the image that needed the warning about past thoughts on Amy, I'm pretty sure she gets better eventually but I might be wrong because I only remember some things.

So Sonic doesn't want anyone to know he's blind & is trying to act like everything is fine but at the same time is acting a little distant at points. Amy is pissed he's ignoring her which has led to her raging & causing a scene, this is has led to Shadow taking notice of how odd Sonic has been lately.

While in this version Amy is mad that Sonic is ignoring her & pissed her attempts at a date are repeatedly rejected at this point(so kind of being selfish) in the current version she'd be mad because she's honestly worried. In the current version Amy would be getting mad because she's worried as a friend that someone she's close to is acting strange along with something clearly being wrong.

So Shadow(who for some reason I give a ponytail in this version) is in the background, Sonic is trying to ignore Amy(who is yelling), my old Sonicsona is pissed at Amy, I think I drew Starrk from Bleach cause he was my husbando at the time, Vector is trying to leave, the one with black hair is Tae(a past friend of mine's OC) & I have no idea who is next to her.

For some context at some point after Sonic was blinded he ended up nearly drowning in a river while it's raining at night. Shadow thanks to Amy's outburst & finally noticing something is off has been trying to keep an eye on Sonic which leads to Shadow partly stripping so he can jump into the river to save Sonic.(Dunno why he stripped since it's raining so he's already wet, I guess so it's easier to go after Sonic)

After getting back on "dry" land Sonic just breaks & cries as he clings to Shadow cause he's just had enough. He can't see, things are changing, he's scared & has just had enough of everything going on. Shadow is shocked cause he's never seen Sonic like this.

This scene hits a little worse in the present version as Sonic purposely fell into the river or was about to cause I dunno if he managed to fall in then get saved or if Shadow stopped him. What makes things worse is that Sonic is a parent when this happens & left his kid with Vanilla cause he knew his kid would be safe with her should anything happen to him. Actually I think Vanilla called Shadow to go find Sonic cause she knew something was going to happen.

Sonic's son(I'm pretty sure someone figured it out but for some reason I'm trying to be vague until a certain point in time) doesn't exist in this version but his younger half brother eventually exists in this. Sadly enough Sonic was pregnant with his son's half brother when Shadow saved him in the present version, not only that Shadow is the father. My explanation is Eggman had a weird cloning ray that went wrong so Sonic ended up with a kid twice. This all is meant to happen when he's older.

For some slightly unnecessary context my self-insert Sonicsona use to live with a bunch of other Sonic fan characters in what was this odd building on the edge of an abandoned city.(For some reason named the forgotten valley cause the city I guess in a way was valley like) The building was full of mysteries & was semi turned into a place for people to live in as well as a place for travelers to stay at with their own rooms.(And Tails Doll in the very bottom basement locked in a mini freezer)

After rescuing Sonic, Shadow took Sonic to my place(apparently it was closer than going home) to get cleaned up & have somewhere safe to rest for the night. After helping Sonic get dry/warm & everyone was settled down Sonic finally confessed to everything that happened as well as the fact he's blind.

Shadow(who I thought it was funny if his fur/quills fluffed up after getting dry, I know this is a bad time for a joke) agrees to let Sonic stay with him & help the blue hedgehog deal with the situation he was currently in. Thanks to helping Sonic recover from the state he was currently in(depressed, struggling to deal/cope with everything) as well as help Sonic learn to navigate around being unable to see the two became close. The two eventually becoming a couple & got married before eventually having kids.

Things go slightly differently in the present version but a summarized version is similar. Shadow finds Sonic, they talk things out & Shadow helps Sonic(plus his son) out. Shadow & Sonic start a relationship while helping Sonic recover. Eventually they get end up in a relationship with Mephiles & get married.

Yeah surprisingly given stuff I made in the past Mephiles isn't in the picture until my recent stuff. I think this is partly due to my Butterfly Effect AU not being a part of this at the time.(Well Silver still got family but nothing else happened)

Please be aware you can ignore everything after the 3rd paragraph(mentioning the short version) if you want. While it explains the end of my child self's(I was in middle school & then part way into high school before changes happened)

This is technically related, this is from some scrapped ideas caused by a younger me having amalgamations of crossovers going threw my head. I imagine crossovers all the time still but not an amalgamation like this.

Before I go into rambling the image is an old version of my OC Kiku, his boyfriend & Lavi(from D.Grayman) who is off camera reacting badly to cooking. The person with the chef hat in the corner is I think named Eri, she's an OC from the person that made Tae & this is a joke about her being unable to cook.

The short version of this is that Kiku was meant to be Sonic's reincarnation & his boyfriend was Shadow's reincarnation.

So for context the tiny character in the corner is the old design of my OC Kiku who is a Blindshipping fankid. In this moment he is some how a Diclonius(from Elfen Lied & no he's not a queen nor ones that are caused from infecting others & age quickly he just has the cat horns & the powers), is a backup Arcobaleno(Katekyo Hitman Reborn), an ex-test subject(inspired by the Maximum Ride manga) & for some reason Allen Walker's(D.Grayman) reincarnation which is why an arrow for Lavi is going off camera & why the guy next to Kiku is meant to look like Kanda.(Because he is) I later stopped the D.Grayman stuff but kept how Kiku's boyfriend looked cause I really liked Kanda's design.

In present day Kiku has been split into two people. The Blindshipping OC Kiku & Chrysanthemum(Nicknamed Sammy) whois suppose to be the son of Martin Mystery from the cartoon of the same name. They are technically each other from different dimensions. Sammy still has the ex-test subject thing but all the other stuff was scrapped. Also Kiku's boyfriend still looks a little like Kanda still due to having some relation to Dark Magician who has a similar hair when Kanda's hair isn't in a ponytail.

So like I mentioned in the short version(just so I could get to the point for anyone that didn't want to look at the rest of the rambling) past me had Kiku meant to be Sonic's reincarnation.

I'm not proud of this but the idea was that my version of the Sonic series ends with Eggman injuring Sonic & faking Sonic's death at a festival before patching him up & putting him in a suit that controlled Sonic. Shadow would raise their kids alone while fighting against this new "robot" until years later on the same night he lost Sonic(during the same festival) before breaking the suit, learning Sonic was alive this whole time & the two dying in a fire finally together & freed from Eggman.

After that some stuff involving Bleach were they were tested on by the captain of the 12 squad. Sonic goes on to meet a girl in the living world & go on adventures with her. Shadow who doesn't remember anything would sometimes show up to keep an eye on them or help. At some point Sonic would finally get Shadow to remember & Shadow would be horrified of his actions. They both have something on them that keeps them connected to the world so they untie/remove what keeps them tethered after saying goodbye to Sonic's friend.

After this they are reincarnated as children that were kidnapped & tested on. Shadow(Called Yu when not being called an experiment code) had two friends that nickname themselves Feather(cause her hair is feathery & looks like feathers tied up) & Sound.(A joke on the fact he refuses to talk & uses sign language) At some point they meet patient BK201(their code name that the doctors call them, also Darker Than Black ref) who all the staff were nervous about because he's too powerful & was under the control of a fucked up doctor(ironic considering these people) before he was removed.

At some point a lot of experiments escape or are killed trying, BK201 fakes Yu/Shadow's, Feather & Sound's deaths so they can be dumped outside & get to safety while the doctors caught BK201. Feather & Sound disappear, Yu/Shadow is taken in by someone, makes friends & at some point remembers his past.

Something led to Yu meeting Kiku(at the time named Chrysnathemum which ironically is what Kiku translates into) & was a bit distant with them but eventually warmed up to them. Yu liked him but was unable to get over BK201 who he believed died after being caught. At some point he found out Kiku was actually BK201, BK201 was forced to be kept on a tighter leash as they did more tests until being rescued & taken to his parents who helped him recover.(Atem & Yugi) BK201's parents also helped take down the organization that kidnapped him & other kids to be experiments.

Yu warms up even quicker thanks to learning this is his missing friend/childhood crush that saved him. At some point they start dating, work on the fact they remember being Sonic & Shadow while going on more adventures. At some point they meet Feather & Sound(who is talking now that he's in a safer place) who turn out to be Blaze & Silver's reincarnations, the two disappeared because they had apparently come from the future & ended up kidnapped while seeing the past.

At the end after many adventures & stuff Yu & Kiku move to the country side to live a peaceful life. Silver & Blaze live with them when Yu & Kiku eventually make it to the time they're from with Silver turning out to be their son. They're all immortal & can finally live their lives in peace without having to worry about Eggman or anything else they dealt with in this new life.

There was some other stuff like at one point Kku being part werewolf/vampire later changed to part mummy(Atem), at one point being part saiyan & having a cousin that was not only part saiyan but Blackfire's(from Teen Titans) daughter & at one point a Mew(I called her Mew Mint Chocolate Chip) before I scrapped it since I don't watch Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power. At one point I also had Atem a revived version of himself but the reincarnation of Tuxedo Mask(Dunno how this works) & Yugi the reincarnation of Usagi from Sailor Moon.

Oh yeah I also for some reason brought in Secret Saturdays by having Manic's boyfriend be Kur who ended up teleporting to Earth & becoming the Kur from the show after something messed him up around the time Shadow & Sonic died. Manic is reincarnated as Kiku's brother which makes sense because Sonic.

There's a lot of crossover shit but I semi forgot about it & I'm only aware there was crossover shit. I've calmed down on some of this & obviously things have changed.

There's no reincarnation stuff with my present Sonic stuff & no crazy crossover stuff. While I often imagine crossover stuff it's calmed down some compared to my past crossover amalgamation ideas.

I'm not going to tell you how Lost Prince AU ends in this but immortality & finally able to be at peace does happen.

Yeah so, clearly there was a botch with the finish. The ref wasn't supposed to see that but had to call for a DQ because it would look dumb otherwise if the interference was just let go (although Rhea was allowed to be out of the ring for a whole ass minute to beat up Dom without the ref counting her out lol). Supposedly it was the same ref that messed up during Bianca and Jade's match.

This whole shit just goes back to Rhea's booking and how they have protected her since she has come back. It's not her fault, she isn't the one doing the booking but it's officially become a problem if it wasn't already.

Hopefully Rhea and Liv stay away from each other for a while now because it's just been a mess. Creative/HHH are clearly against having Rhea lose clean in any kind of fashion. It's the reason why Dom was even this involved in this feud so that she get's sympathy and get's even more over because the crowd loves to hate him, also an angle/person they can use to cost her matches (Summerslam) so that she doesn't lose clean.

It sucks for Liv's title reign honestly. Creative never really getting to the full story of Liv and Rhea's history until an interview, which was dropped the morning before Bad Blood is just garbage. Talk about that shit on TV, but it all come's back to the protection of Rhea during this whole feud, it has to be said. They don't want her to be the bad guy, even though she is over with the crowd so it is not like they would even really turn on her. Should have just told the full story but no, can't do that. Look at the comments on that video of that interview, a lot of people didn't even know Liv and Rhea were tag partners, and that Rhea turned on Liv. That's why you have to tell the whole story, but I guess they really didn't want Rhea to come out looking bad.

all the designs are based around the kh2 designs those felt the most personalized in terms of style (except for xion)

namine - i wanted to keep her style but the dress she wore seemed impractical for fighting (like the kind sora does) so I gave her overalls, i tried to work with her colour scheme and soras and gave her shades of blue and grey. after making this i decided to cut the purple because its not a part of her og colour scheme but yellow is so it might be more cohesive now, the purple straps are the overall suspenders and her necklace is her star charm from com. her hair is a bit messier to fit soras mega anime spikes (it kind of makes her look like lion sora lol). the ribbon belt and lace shoulders were added to keep the delicate vibes of her original design. belt chains, side pockets, and gloves being more like arm warmers with x straps on them are all supposed to be sora but in a namine way. her shoes are her classic blue sandals with x straps across like soras shoes and are close-toed to she can run around in them

lea/axel - hes the kairi in this situation the characters were really randomly chosen. His younger self's vest and kairis zipper tube dress thing kind of came together nicely for the tri-zipper shirt, original colour scheme was kept and instead of the lacing kairi does i tried to make it fit him more so the laces wrap around his shoes, I also tried to make his hair look softer to fit the princess vibe. He has his orignal scarf print as kairi's side bag and instead of beaded bracelets they are braided strings. i didnt want to give him the cargo shorts because those are not kairi at all so he just gets black shorts maybe axel would wear them idk

aqua - by far was my favourite to design. long hair from the year riku spent away from hairdressers, collared-flowy-lace-up-zipper-vest-shirt to sub her big ribbon skirt thing, white sleeves are fitted to her arms to fit a medium between riku and aqua, cropped sleeveless turtleneck for her original design, the arm cast is there in the ref, baggy black shorts to match her original black shorts, white leg warmers and ribbon belt to reflect all the ribbons she usually has with black straps from the shorts to the leg warmers in spirit of kh2 character design. shoes are basically just keyblade armor shoes but like normal boots

terra - he has the jacket which looks exactly like roxas' but in terras colour scheme with xs instead of checker marks. in roxas fashion he has a zipper on his shirt which is just terra's shirt. replaced the white with black and the black and red with brown, red is terras accent colour so that was used as needed. belt is kind of a toss up not sure if i should go with this belt or the more terra+namine/sora fashion of a ribbon belt. his arm sleeve is black and the xs should be red (im removing the checkered one it doesnt fit). I wasnt sure about the pants but I found a good place between roxas' skater baggy and the hakama terra wears and i gave him brown jorts. These werent going to axel/kairi they had to go to terra/roxas. I think i drew him with longer socks in something else so that changed. im probably gonna change his hair to look more like concept art roxas without the ventus bangs. i guess he should look like a mix between sora and namine but his hair is brown and he has a jacket so i guess thats close enough. shoes are basically the same idea as aquas but the shape was taken from roxas' shoes

riku - this one was difficult because i had to incorporate xion (who doesnt have much of a design), axel and riku. the main part of this is making the face and hair look reminiscent of axel/kairi but in a riku way. basically i just made him look like axel/kairi if he didnt try to do the high maintainence hairstyle. the little stray hair is to keep design consistency between characters. rikus hair will be silver though not black for another undescribed plot reason (replicas ig). casual clothes based around rikus og design keeping the inside out pants, and vest-shirt and black shorts which thematically matches axel in the way xions kh3 clothes match kairis. the boots and buttons on the vest are more of a nod to xions kh3 clothes. all keeping rikus colour scheme

xion - she turned out surprisingly well but honestly im stiill not sure what to do with her. i tried to give her a pseudo-high-maintainence hairstyle where its like how axel's hair was basically the same but grown out. still has the teardrop markings and wide-sleeved coat as xion does. normal clothes gives her knee high boots, her dress is now a blouse and skirt but maybe she'd wear pants??? axel didnt wear anything else until the end of the game so she really wouldnt either. considering other hairstyles (a blowout would be really funny). thinking of giving her chakrams but in the shape of her final form mask

kairi - should have her normal hair but more uniform-looking. white dress is like a white tank-top and shorts or a bodysuit maybe ? in kairi's fashion terra's pants turn into a pleated skirt and the top of her zipper dress but shortened, keyblade armor on her elbow and lots of bracelets. shoes are keyblade armor but in kairi's pink and purple with a bit of her cross-lacing. the wayfinders all had traditional clothes so i may redesign them to reflect this

roxas - this one was difficult because neither of them had compatible designs. in this one i gave roxas black shorts with like chaps? overtop and a collared vest and his collared shirt to mirror the layers used in aquas design. his keyblade armor is his symbol and its on his shoulder. keyblade armor shoes are mostly flat and i gave him two fully checkered sleeves and his checker design on his shirt. his hair is a bit shorter than his canon design to follow kairi's clean-cut potential keyblade master vibe

sora - really easy switch, not simple to colour. again, the really short/clean hair in soras style. black and white shirt following ventus' motif yellow x straps (ventus' design in soras colours) I made the bottom of one of his undershirts his typical primary colours and gave him the overall black clothes in more of a sora fashion. yellow shoes in ventus' design. and i had to give him the micheal jackson esque single checkered fingerless glove. keyblade armor on his shoulder might make it his typical crown

ventus - ventus' canon design is so layered simplifying it to this was very funny. might give him a polo tho. I just gave him a full black and white motif and simplified it to what namine would have but also enough to make him seem like a ghost in twilight town. has the axel/kairi stray hair reference, i kind of drew it in a backward direction to follow axel/kairi but cleaned it up to look more namine

Do you make your bed?

Every morning! It's the second thing I do (after cleaning my glasses, haha). I've found it to be a pretty big part of managing my depression so it's something I have to do, regardless of how tempting it is to leave blankets ready for me to crawl into

What's your favorite number?

I don't have one (numbers are my sworn enemy, after all) but it has been a bit of a thing since I was a kid that 6 is "my number" lol (for reasons I can't get into since that's way too personally identifying). 4 has been a thing, too. Maybe my OCD just likes even numbers? Don't ask.

What is your job?

Frustratingly, I've been unemployed going on four years. I'm in the midst of yet another round of job searching (which has become pretty desperate, to be honest). Discrimination against deafblind people is no joke. I do a lot of volunteer work in the meantime, running a support group and social media for a nonprofit organization.

If you could go back to school, would you?

I would like to go to graduate school for my career. Otherwise, I totally would go to school for media analysis or to take sociology classes again. But without crushing deadlines! I can imagine it now... doing projects and taking tests on my own time... the literal dream

Can you parallel park?

If you feel like risking your life and the lives of every creature and plant in the vicinity and witnessing considerable property damage, yeah I'll do it! Just put a sighted person in the passenger seat so I don't kill myself in the process.

A job you had that would surprise people?

I don't think my jobs would really surprise people? I've had a lot. My first job was as an assistant soccer referee when I was around 14. I was not very good at it but reffed a lot of games. I also was center ref for a couple tournaments (for kids, no older than ten). I looked good in the uniform but that's about it hahaha

Do you think aliens are real?

Absolutely. I'm not sure if I believe they're sentient (at least not in the way we would conceive of it) but the universe is VAST. There's no way we're the only ones. We definitely have not been visited by any, that's for sure.

Can you drive a manual car?

I understand the general theory of it, so again if you want me risk life and limb, I will. The one time I drove I think it was a semi-automatic if not fully automatic transmission.

What's your guilty pleasure?

I have OCD, I feel guilty about everything I like. But I guess right now it would be Kit Kats and Reese's, both of which I have been munching on all week. I am morally against Nestle and know Hershey's is by far inferior to properly-sourced, better-tasting chocolate but... it's not as expensive as the good stuff and... I like when things are pumpkin-shaped :(

Tattoos?

Love them!! Just not on me. I think if I didn't have the skin concerns I do (primarily, keloids run in our family) I may be way more tempted to get one or two smaller ones (and my brother has tats and is totally fine) but as I've said... I have OCD. I think in reality I would be really really freaked out by having something permanent inked into me. So I just live vicariously though everyone else, especially my best friend. They have great taste so their tattoos are very very cool and well done.

Favorite color?

I love oranges and greens, especially tangerine or a deep green.

Favorite type of music?

I have extremely eclectic taste, so it's basically whatever I'm in the mood for. My Spotify Wrapped never reflects the music I really gravitate to when I want to legitimately sit down and listen. Usually it's just on in the background as I do something else but I really enjoy intentionally focusing on a good album. Overall I'm definitely more into rock (very general, I know) than anything else, though that's not necessarily what I listen to most often. I'll listen to indie, punk, hard metal, folk, pop, electronic, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, soul, show tunes, alternative, classical, you name it. Lately I've been listening to a lot of film scores, ballads, and lighter more instrument-heavy stuff. This month's playlist had Dome Jaruwat, Howard Shore, Martin Nievera, Florist, Jewelry, T-ARA, Kim Jung Mi, TRACE & Ariel Loh, and Sade Adu, among others.

Do you like puzzles?

Yes and no. I find that dyscalculia makes certain puzzles more tedious and difficult than they should be, and that combined with ADHD makes things I should ostensibly be good at (Scrabble, for example) more frustrating than not. I don't mind jigsaws or logic puzzles though. I did Deaf Academic Bowl in high school, so I'm super into things like that (trivia, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, escape room kinds of things).

Any phobias?

Not too many. When it comes to specific phobias, I'm pretty phobic of stink bugs though that's lessened over the years, replaced by a phobia of cockroaches. I'm neutral about bugs in general but as my eyesight has declined I've become less fond of the flying ones. Same thing goes for other small creatures difficult to track. I've noticed some agoraphobia developing in the last year or so as my vision has declined so I am working on managing that along with my social anxiety.

Favorite childhood sport?

Definitely soccer. Did nineteen seasons, despite bullying!

Do you talk to yourself?

Literally all the time. Always having a conversation with myself. Caught myself on the bus earlier today having a bit too animated of an internal conversation hahaha

What movies do you adore?

This is literally the worst thing to ask me. So many movies, so little time. I do love It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! which I watch every Halloween. I say it every year, but it very well may be my favorite film score. And it's technically a TV special so... I also adore The Florida Project, Eighth Grade, Anatomy of a Fall, Bound, Minding the Gap, Rocketman, It Happened One Night, Shoplifters, Blindspotting, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse... I could go on and on and on.

Coffee or tea?

I LOVE coffee but I've been gravitating more and more to tea, probably because of the hell coffee sometimes wreaks on my digestive system.

First thing you wanted to be growing up?

I was very specific: an Olympic gold-medalist figure skater. Only because I loved watching this event so much. To be honest I don't know what the first real ambition I had was? I did wonder what it may be like to be a journalist, professional soccer player, lawyer, that kind of thing.

another question i have is, do you understand how jupet controls beleth?

until Seeds Chapter V, in try try again more specifically, it seemed like jupet transfered their "soul" i guess to beleth: everytime beleth was active, jupet was knocked out. The same thing happened in Not Good With Kids, when jupet possessed chip. What's interesting though, is that characters keep saying jupet "dies" when they do that, but neon clearly hears jupet's heartbeats, so i'm not sure how literal this "dying" process is

the necropossum ref sheet does mention an ability they have where, if they die, they can come back to life as long as their brains are preserved; they will, however, stop growing

then comes along Seeds Chapter V, which is a bunch of frequencies (????), and we see some contradictions. Jupet is all grown up, very much awake AND is communicating with an active Beleth, either through telepathy or some soul-link thign, idk

so... what happened, there? Is this a plothole? Or is seeds chapter V a frequency where jupet learned how to transfer part of their soul to beleth and not faint, and also not die (they look grown up after all), in a lord voldemort-horcruxes kinda situation? or is jupet some kind of godhood figure and thus no rules apply to them? we do see supernatural hands coming down from the heavens to grab beleth, so maybe jupet IS a god (TTA kinda implies that, i think)

Jupet and Beleth's thing is still kind of fuzzy which is funny since SO MUCH time was spent on it. The basic chain of events I think went:

Child Jupet wants to help Lily and TAL with some unspecified thing.

Jupet goes to a play and gets the idea to put their soul, or a piece of it, into a "fingerpuppet" of TAL's. They customize the fingerpuppet into White Beleth and put their soul in them, after which Beleth jumps into a portal to Hellside (I think?) while Jupet appears to die Topside, leaving a fairy circle and scaring Lily to death.

Jupet stays dead for several years while White Beleth runs around in Hellside. I don't think White Beleth can communicate with Jupet at this point but they do seem aware that they exist at least. Maybe.

White Beleth gets Itchy Itchy disease and Jupet releases control of them so that their soul doesn't get contaminated and obliterated by it. White Beleth burns up and dies. This does imply some conscious letting go of Beleth on Jupet's part though, so while they may have appeared dead on Topside they might not have been entirely dead.

Jupet wakes up again without apparent memory of what Beleth was up to or what happened, leading to them going to a hypnotist to try and uncover the memories. Eventually they decide to try again and make Red Beleth with their memories intact.

Red Beleth seems able to directly communicate with Jupet (adult now) and they argue at times. Jupet can't directly control Beleth, but can order them around. It's not clear exactly how much control they have over them, but Jupet says they like not knowing what Beleth will do. At the same time, Jupet can flip Beleth to "Topside mode" where they will know EVERYthing Beleth will do, so how much autonomy Beleth has is a bit up in the air. Lily is also aware of Beleth's existence now and knows part of Jupet's soul is in them.

My guess is that in the period after White Beleth burned, Lily (and TAL maybe?) worked with Jupet to make Red Beleth improvements to keep Jupet awake while Beleth ran around. As for why Jupet can do soul stuff in the first place, I have no idea. I just assumed it was some kind of weird soul power they had. It does involve strings, like a puppet, which passes down to Beleth. I don't think we've seen anyone else use strings like Jupet?

One interesting thing I didn't notice until laying it out like this is that in the original frequency the story started in (let's call it the Canon frequency), Lily didn't know who Neon was when Jupet was an adult and Red Beleth was already running around. Only later after a few frequency shifts did we get timelines where Lily and Neon were together back when Jupet was a child. Given how much of a big deal Jupet's "death" was between Lily and Neon, prompting their eternal cycle of murder and rebirth, it's interesting to think of a world where Neon wasn't present for any of that. The real answer of course is that Glip hadn't come up with Neon at the time but still.

My question is how much can Jupet see through Beleth at any given point. Does Jupet have to physically check in to see what they're doing? Do they always know what's going on? What happens when Red Beleth or White Beleth leaves their body? Mostly I'm thinking about how much porn there is of Beleth. Is Jupet watching or contributing to that? What do they think about it? You're probably not supposed to think about it...

Currently Red Beleth pops up every now and then but I don't think they're connected to Jupet anymore. I THINK MALwire got control of Beleth because of the nonsense in the Educational Defense System VN, but I'm not sure. In Shizukan's Test Beleth showed up in a goth lolita outfit with a popped out eye, and in Quixate and Ellaroux Change Storgo, they showed up in Glip's Mask rambling about war machines. Jupet just shows up now as a vector for Glip to talk about their childhood abuse.

Still pisses me off we never got a resolution to the seeds plot. >:|

I mean- I call him Dreamer!Sans but I'm not really sure if I'm gonna set with that yet, since I don't actually have a story/plot for him besides his purpose in the multiverse, but I do have some other ideas ;]

Dreamer!Sans is basically a protector of dreams, he protects mostly the realities of dreams (or the Dreamscapes, is what I like to call them) to make sure everyone from his au and multiverse have sweet and safe dreams.

Theres this things called Night Spawns or Nightlings who feeds from peoples nightmares and trauma while they are asleep. They oddly look like spiders... Dreamer is responsible for defeating these pests.

"But why?" you may ask.

Well... the Nightlings "power" to manifest bad dreams in your sleep can cause you depression, anxiety, paranoia, and much more, if they stay too long attached to someone, AND since they are really hungry they are trying to consume the dreamscapes of the person they are attached to. "What are Dreamscapes?"

Every time someone dreams, that person's consciousness is "transported" to this place, and each person has their own dreamscapes!! They are directly connected to people's consciousness and that is why they are so important.

Hes mostly like classic Sans, very lazy, laid back/relaxed, and he enjoys puns a lot

but it's a little more extreme-

• He is always tired and cannot stay awake for more than 20 minutes without falling asleep again

• He aways looks tired/sleepy

• Sometimes he sleepwalks, he can do unbelievable things while he's asleep, from knitting and cooking to physically fighting or writing a quantum science research, all unconscious!

• For some reason sometimes he sleeps in super specific and random places, once he slept for two whole days inside Nightmare!Sans' castle and no one ever noticed... strange right? He wasn't even in a room, he slept in the kitchen storage the entire time lol

• He has been in and out of so many people's dreams that he probably knows EVERYONE, he has an incredible memory too!

• Sometimes he can't tell if he's really awake or if he's still dreaming, so he doesn't usually take things around him seriously. Which can make other people upset or annoyed that they're not being taken seriously.

• He learned to never try to find meanings in dreams that don't make the LEAST sense, and since he cannot distinguish which reality he is in because he is almost always dreaming- he will always accept anything absurd you propose to him.

You wanna make a birthday party for a giant unicorn baby? sure sounds fun.

You think Shrek is upset and needs help? yeah lets cheer him up.

Several alternate versions of him are fighting for some bizarre reason he doesn't understand?? yeah ok he can help, he don't mind.

• He snores when he's having a really deep sleep, he won't believe it if you tell him that tho

Well thats it! These are my ideas and thoughts about this Sans I created, I might and probably will add more things about him and his story later in other posts, can't wait to finally see his au takes more shape hehe~

Even though I refer to their AU as demonfell, it's definitely kind of evolved into a like, MV AU? Idk how to phrase it, but UT, US, SF and possibly others all wound up incorporated, too, with the UF crew all still being demons, but the others varying across the board more.

Though that doesn't really have any bearing on the brothers' characterization lol

Raviel and Elester come from a very ancient, very powerful species, in the mortal realm they're practically demigods. They kind of weren't supposed to exist, and thus were created in a very unique way that makes them unusual even for how rare their kind already is, and it also bound them together in a way rarer still for their kind.

They don't really do the whole Family Dynamic thing, so it was odd for them to consider each other brothers, but it did also make more sense given their unusual creation. Their age difference is also a chunk greater than my usual interpretation of 5 years, with Raviel having been their kind's equivalent to a teen when Elester came along. This also made him more protective of him (amongst other reasons), and only further cemented their relationship.

They depended on each other a lot, which couldn't have been more unusual for their kind, but it only made them that much stronger together, which kept them safe.

Elester always looked up to Raviel, and even to "this day" highly values his opinions and input. Even if he also does see them on more equal footing as adults.

Raviel...is not ever gunna be able to stop seeing Elester as a little kid, not entirely. It doesn't help he’s usually curious and emotional for their kind, but Raviel does still see him as the capable demon he’s grown into, as well. He just wishes Elester didn't have such a softness to him (never mind the fact he obviously does, too, caring about anything as much as he does his brother).

They trust each other, and don't spend as much time together as they used to, but they honestly have one of the healthiest relationships out of any of my interps which is kind of hilarious.

Individually though, Raviel comes across as incredibly condescending. Mortals (humans and regular monsters) are basically bugs to him, he doesn't care. Sure some stuff about the mortal plane is novel, but he'd rather wreak havoc or go pick fights than waste time "hanging out" there.

Makes lots of mean spirited jokes, and is pretty much only nice to Elester and "Mother Earth" (Toriel, god of "light"). He’s also more genuinely laid back than a lot of other Sanses, he doesn't see any sense in worrying about much. Gets bored very easily, and that can mean chaos is soon to follow. It's fine, Elester usually keeps it from being too bad. Usually.

Speaking of! Elester, Elester loves the mortal realm. He finds their own realm boring and cliche, loves how much more varied things are amongst the humans and monsters. He is also incredibly condescending, but less so in a mean way and more so in a...well, kind of logical way, I guess. Though don't be mistaken, he doesn't take much personal interest in individuals unless their souls really stand out to him. He also heavily feels clothes are overrated.

In some ways he’s kind of like a cross between Rus and Boss, but without a short temper at all (though he is rather quick to get bored or annoyed).

They're both kinda silly, both surprisingly intense at times, and both definitely very bratty, but! I love them, so it's fine they can do whatever they want forever <3

I have to laugh at your surprise with the fighting in hockey because I don’t even follow it that closely but I grew up right outside of Philadelphia so I am of course a flyers fan because to root for anything other than a Philly team would be blasphemy (though everyone in the family roots for Michigan in college hockey because I went there)

we went to the game against the rangers last month and the little pre-show with Gritty was literally him doing the training montage from Rocky (do people outside the US know Rocky or know just how important a Philly thing that movie is?) and then “getting into the ring” with a guy in a rangers jersey and “knocking him out”

lmao youre definitely allowed to laugh at me, i am too!! i watch a lot of handball, which i know isnt a thing in america so i wont blame you for not knowing what it is, but it's also a really physical sport where you're allowed to tackle each other to the ground and push each other around and so on (without any protection, though) – BUT i have never in my 22 years seen an actual fistfight on the court. if two players get angry at each other, they can kinda like shove each other a little bit then the refs jump in instantly and they get penalties (and can be forced to leave the match). but ive never never never seen even a single punch thrown. so like idk i knew it was physical but it still surprised me!!

i actually rewatched the devils/rangers game yesterday (it was on the tv surprisingly lol) and i think one of the main things that hit me was like… how silly it looked? maybe something is wrong with me for not finding fights like that cool or attractive or whatever?? but esp when they had their gloves on and stood there, it looked like they were just bad boxers 😭 and then there was one sequence where the two players just kept on missing each other bcs after trying to throw a hit, they would dodge, so they just kept going back and forth like that without anyone actually landing a hit??? 😭😭

THOUGH!! just remembered that i watched the uhhhh i guess it was the junior world finals? almost a year ago? usa vs sweden? seeing the fight at the end there just bcs the swedes were losing 😐 at least fight bcs of something reasonable, not just "we're losing, i have to show him that i hate him" or whatever

3. Is there anything non-canon/unique about your Champion and Aurene? Powers, ways to communicate, transformations/brandings, etc

There's a couple! (For context, Thorne is Aurene's Champion still in my au)

1st, because Thorne technically has some dragon descendance from his mother and is half Warclaw, an animal made of magic, he absorbs magic. So first, when he first bonds to Aurene's egg, he gets his own wings! Shown in this old art below (reffed from toh lol)

So instead of the Commander being sometimes able to fly when Aurene lets them, Thorne just has a permanent glider. And those moments when Aurene gives the commander wings in the story, she really just makes them bigger so he can *fly* instead of *glide.* He can fold them away into the mists so they're invisible unless he wants them out, he usually uses them for intimidation when not actively gliding. However, after getting blasted by balthazar's magic, it became really painful for him to use his wings so he only uses them in emergencies. (apon realizing this, Yao makes him his jade wings so he can fly without pain)

2nd, he has the ability to brand. the wiki mentions that the commander can't corrupt like other dragon champions can,

but Thorne does. he can't control it and it only happens in high emotional situations. he accidently branded his ranger pet, Ivory, but this was more similar of the "branding" of Caithe being consentual and less of a corruption and more of an empowerment. This probably owes to Ivory secretly being a warclaw kitten! He's also partially branded enemies on accident.

6. Did Aurene learn any quirk or habit from her Champion? Is her Champion aware of it? Did they try to correct her or was it intentional? Did they develop any habits during their time with her?

Aurene inhereted being absolutely stubborn as hell from Thorne, which I guess is already canon lol. By the time he realized that this had happened, she was like 2 and attacking balthazar to save him. While it is horrifying to him to see his daughter repeatedly throw herself into danger to save him, it usually always works, anyway.

In return, he probably started growling and hissing more tbh. Most of the behavior that hanging out with her caused is exclusive to her.

9. Is there anyone Aurene dislikes? Why? Does she show it? Are they aware of it? What would have to happen for that to change?

She doesn't 'dislike' many people. I would say Joko, but she kind of already ate him alive.

The battle handler/system or other may know it as a form of a gameplay ability system is kind of the next step. Lucky the system I am designing focus more on modifying attributes and combat states for registered combat objects. I just need to have enough energy and focus to decide what the share function the actions will have and the general structure of the combat object (as well as decide if it should be ref-counted or a resource). Basically the battle node will register combat to the combat system objects and listen to them as needed for updating the map. Also it sends actions to it as well as tell it when to run the status update function (for processing buffs and debuffs). So the node handles the combat loop and listen to input while the system process requests with resource that can notify other systems (like UI). Eh It seem simple, but I just cannot focus today lol. Also to test it better I would need that battle node and battle UI and probably think how I should handle the AI. I probably use a resource that act like the AI script. I guess it would be best for it to know about the combat objects since it can get a lot of the needed info from that object. (Update kind of) There is one issue I just remember and that is attribute modifiers. If there is only a few, then they can be recalculated without an issue else I guess I may need to group them based on how often they change (bonus: limit recalculations by attributes affected). This I believe would be the combat object responsibility (or mostly. assignment and update calls would happen elsewhere). I may just have the mods as an array for each attribute with each index as a predetermine group. Like one for equipment and one for buffs that are added to the base attribute when needed. (I just find arrays easier to do math with instead of objects. I could use a dictionary and not have predetermine order, yet I want it to be more compact in size. I guess if it usually less than 10(like on average), then I could use a dictionary to cull out calculating zero cases). (Also it is only gdscript objects I try to limit use for simple cases since I see them as an extended dictionary with more data and initiation costs. I could be wrong.) (I also could create a bunch of dictionaries as tags to hold modification info from buff and debuffs base on what they effect. I just dislike that memory use, but it may be fine for this project only if I find myself having a lot of buffs being applied which probably won't happen).
