“a man in his mid-late 30's who owns a motorbike mechanic shop and also happens to be mentor to a gang of angry queer university students who are all his sons. law student with a need for revenge after his dad was used by a rich man and killed by cops? that's his son now. gay art student with a tiny bit too much love for fire and a protective anger about how his disabled mother is treated? also his son. this one is angry about how laws are manipulated to serve only specific people while harming others? cool bring him in too. this one is just filled with rage at the entire world (but also specifically his parents) and wants to fight everything and everyone? cool adopt him too. one of your boys has a secret twin brother who showed up one day pretending to be the other to find out who put him in a coma and get revenge and is slowly realizing that the world does not function the way he thought it did? well i mean he already adopted his brother so he might as well take him in too plus i mean somebody has to teach this kid to fight before he gets himself killed. 4/5 of his sons are bisexual and the 5th is gay and theyre all disasters and he loves them.”

Mmmmm yeah, I'm back with my NM x OF crossovers!:D This one is not as poetic as the previous one, but I did have in mind some funny Sand & Sean interaction / first meeting, so I decided to post it anyway xD Come read it!

The fact that this TikTok could really happen in the show (or something like it) is wild to me. Gumpa really forced to two bisexuals to be roommates for the fun of it. He also was cool with Yok having a cop boyfriend like a true ally. He is like the parents that go to Pride with signs giving out free hugs. Gumpa is the only straight man I respect. (Is he even straight though?)

LMAO!!! couldn't agree more, but my man gumpa is NOT straight, at least in my headcanon :'))) a mutual of mine described him as a gay dad who needs to be in bed by 9 pm & I love that idea, but also it's my headcanon that gumpa used to work for tawi which is why he knows so much about his whereabouts, and that's when he met his bf who still works for him & has now become his informant. THINK ABOUT IT!!! gumpa has talked about having an informant many times, that guy is shady af, and his informant IS 100% his unofficial bf who would take a bullet for him, I DON'T MAKE THE RULES!!!

maybe it's on me for expecting certain things from a gmmtv show but honestly i expected ex's to be sleeping with ex's who slept with ex's and for everything to be crashing down 24/7. and you could say it is that but i guess what i was 'wanting' was different from what the genre can handle rn. i can appreciate only friends for what it is, and i hope sand/ray continue to get messier before they get better, i love what they have going on rn. but i'm so bored with type of storyline that top/mew portray. individually i think they're good characters and i enjoy them but this need to push them together feels so annoyingly "BL" rather than just telling a story. they always have to get a good ending huh.. always always always

His life was falling apart piece by agonizing piece and Gumpa could only blame himself. 

His movements felt sluggish, as if he was moving through molasses or fighting against invisible bonds as he gestured in precise motions. He couldn’t afford to be sloppy, he couldn't afford any misunderstanding. The truth was painful enough. 

Yok was in an accident. He didn’t make it. It’s all my fault, I’m so sorry. 

He shouldn’t have been surprised when instead of cursing him, raging against him, or casting him out of her home Yok’s mother instead wrapped him in her arms. She held Gumpa tight and he was powerless to stop himself from wrapping his own arms around her small frame. He could feel her body shaking against his as she wept, but still her hand rubbed along the expanse of his back, between his shoulders, and coaxed out every tear Gumpa had contained behind a wall of determination and accountability. 

A mother’s hug is special, sacred, and he hadn’t felt one in so, so long. 

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. 

He pressed the words against her spine, signing them over and over and all the while she held him close and he knew the comfort was for both of them. 

Gumpa was fairly certain the breadth of his ineptitude would haunt him for the rest of his life and he knew he deserved nothing less. He’d put Yok in that position, listened to his weak smile and whispered “I’m fine, hia,” despite the nagging in the back of his head that there could be no way Yok was fine, that he needed to get him back to the hospital immediately. It’d taken too long for the ambulance to reach the protest, taken too long to get back to the hospital, just taken too long. Once they’d reached the hospital it had only taken a matter of hours.

He couldn’t understand how someone so full of vibrant life and incandescent love could exit the world without even a whisper. Everything Yok did he did with a bang, and yet he had crept silently into death.

Why aren't we doing a Not Me rewatch event? Like watching an episode every Sunday like we did back then and then talking about details we may have missed back then? Or like just crying about how hard a particular episode had hit you and how you felt watching it again? I wanna rekindle the Not Me fandom. I think we moved on too quickly from the masterpiece that show was.
