Latest model Gundam Arial from the Witch from Mercury(WFM), the Primary hero unit piloted by Suletta. For those who have not watched the show I highly recommend commend it. Having watched all the other Gundam series this one has definitely earned a top spot IMO. The story is one of the best and not like every other one. The character development is excellent, the music and animation is top notch. We can’t forget the mechs each one unique and wonderfully designed.

That said this model is the Full Mechanics(FM) 1/100 scale model and it was an absolute joy to build. With a nice fairly simple build that was on a touch more complex then a High Grade(HG) but not quite the complexity of a Master grade (MG) build. The color separation and details are excellent. Not to mention it can pose up a storm with little to nothing getting in the way of mobility. With the way this unit built out I am really looking forward to another FM model in the line, I would love to see more WFM mobile suits get the 1/100 scale treatment. Case if they ended up being half as good as this kit this would still be awesome. If you’re thinking of giving Gunpla a try this kit will not disappoint, even if it is the only kit you decide to get.

On a side note this is also the first time I have ever used water slide decals. They where quite time consuming to do but I gotta say they really take the model to a whole other level. I think I will be doing them more going forward.

For those following I will be working on other Witch from Mercury units, it likely won’t be a full spread of the MS cast but it will be a good number of them.

so here is the lore in the G-Witch Mechanic & World book from a fusetter i found talking about it (this is mostly MTL):

Number of students in Asticassia:

400 students in the first grade, so 1200 in total for the 3 grades 40 in the pilot department, 240 in the mechanic department, and about 120 in the business strategy department.

Prospera, Quiet Zero, and Delling

Delling planned to take control of the political, military, and economic systems of the Earth Sphere with Quiet Zero, but this was due to his self-righteous resignation and pessimism that "only I can save the future of humanity." The reason he did not go directly to the destruction of human society was because he was motivated by the desire to realize Nortrette's ideals. Meanwhile, Prospera wanted to use this plan to unleash Ericht on the Datastorm network that spreads throughout the Earth Sphere. Regarding the Score, it is necessary for Suletta, who is the interface, to maintain a stable Permet Score Eight, and be able to access Ericht. To do this, she needs to experience intermittent high Permet to gradually increase the probability of access, they have also constructed a protective network by distributing the personal biometric information of the 11 Replikids into the GUNDbits to distribute the data load on Suletta. Apparently the duel takes place at school because there is a risk of Suletta's death if they were to actually duel.

Quiet Zero's disappearance

This happened due to Ericht and Suletta's desire to break away from Quiet Zero.

The truth behind the red eye stickers on Aerial and Caliburn

According to the designer, he painted them red in the design drawing for when the score rises, but it wasn't used in the main story. He suggested yellow for Cali, but it was rejected because it was already used in another MS, and in the end it was decided to go with pink.

G Witch Onscreen Text: Episode 1

This is the second part of a project where I try my best to document and discuss all of the (relatively important) text that appears on monitors and screens in G Witch. Cause I can.

ooOOooohhh beneath the cut lie the HORRORS....

Just to give you an idea of how needlessly hard they went on the monitor text, when Suletta is rescuing Miorine, she mentions that she's almost out of oxygen, and then, when she brings her into Aerial's cockpit, on her helmet, you can faintly see text displaying the amount of oxygen.

And THEN, when she starts talking to Miorine, the text on her helmet changes AGAIN to display that the comm link has been established

WHY DID THEY DO THAT????

Well clearly they did it cause they knew my stupid ass would eventually document it. Anyway, let us begin.

TEXT: I am a HARO. You can ask me anything! (The only text on the icons I can make out are MAP and SCHOOL, unfortunately.)

This is the HARO navigation bot Suletta meets when first coming to Asticassia, and we know that it's Haro Navigation System Ver. 3.0! If that's something that interests you....

Not much of note, it's just a hologram of a mobile craft. Exciting if you like mobile crafts. (I like mobile crafts)

When the Docks containing the Demi Trainers are locked, the display says LOCKED. When they're in use, the display says IN OPERATION.

The Battle Display for the first duel we see in the show, and from this we can see that Guel currently stands undefeated with 26 wins! Double digits! No wonder he's the ace pilot at Asticassia...too bad he's a dick.

This is the graph that's shown during the Benerit Group board meeting, detailing the earnings of the groups members for the current period.

Interestingly, the 3 highest earners are: Peil Technologies - 8000 Grassley Defense Systems - 8100 Jeturk Heavy Machinery - 8300

So, funnily enough, at the beginning of the story, Jeturk Heavy Machinery is actually the most successful company within the group. It explains why Vim Jeturk felt so comfortable in his plot to assassinate Delling, and goes to show how quickly he fell from the top position after Guel lost to Suletta all those times.

Fun Fact by the way, Prospera's first appearance in the show proper is during this meeting.

She seems kind of annoyed about something.

TEXT: DUEL COMMENCING FIRST TO BREAK MS BLADE ANTENNA IS THE WINNER

We don't see it very often, but during a duel, a display stating the win condition of the duel is broadcast for the benefit of the spectators.

When Miorine boards Aerial for the duel, we get a look at its system control menu.

Top to bottom, left to right, the options are: COCKPIT VOICE RECORDER IDENTIFICATION FRIEND FLIGHT DATA RECORDER NAVIGATION DISPLAY WEAPON SELECTION CONDITION MONITOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM GROUND POWER UNIT INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RULE SIMULATOR INSTRUMENT APPROACH CHART INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM APPROACH POINT RAM AIR TURBINE

We also get a brief look at the Weapon Selection Sub-Menu

I think a lot of the main settings are interesting (what the hell is "Identification Friend?") but what's really interesting to me is that Aerial's Gundbits don't seem to be selectable via the Weapon Menu.

We also get a brief glimpse at the Red Dilanza's control menu.

No idea what I'm looking at, to be totally honest, but yknow. It's nice!

TEXT: EMERGENCY BUTTON

When Suletta intrudes into the duel and gets back in Aerial, we see that it has an emergency button (seemingly somewhere on its foot) that opens the cockpit.

TEXT: COMMUNICATION MODE -OUTERCOM-

When Suletta headbutts Miorine and they start arguing about Aerial, Aerial's comms system gets set to OUTERCOM mode, which explains why everyone outside of Aerial can hear the argument.

This could have been done by accident when Suletta headbutted Miorine, but I like to believe that Eri herself did this on purpose.

Just so it isn't left unsaid, Aerial's Permet ID is XVX-016, and when a combatant in a duel is the Holder, the Holder Symbol is displayed on their Duel Card.

When Suletta is telling Miorine about her mother's motto, the GUND-Bits appear on the monitor and come online as Aerial 'speaks.' This, combined with the fact that the GUND-Bits aren't accessible via the Weapon Select menu, implied all the way back in episode one that it's Eri who controls them. Although interestingly, it seems that, internally, the GUND-Bits are referred to as GUNBITS.

I obviously won't transcribe the two pages of this book, but the book El4n is reading here is actually The World as Will and Representation by German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. We actually see its title in a later episode, and the main ideas present in this work are extremely important when it comes to understanding El4n's character. But that's a story for another post.

Also I realize I should probably point out that we see that Nika's ID is LM236 in this photo. She never duels so there's never a moment where she says it out loud.

(Like, why does Aerial have a Cockpit Voice Recorder at all, actually? We know that Suletta often talks with Aerial in the cockpit about personal stuff so...you don't think that....Prospera....?)

she gave me this pretty postcard and you can tell she really spent time making the designs serve cunt (look how she worked the jeturk house crest into the outfits) but I'm still baffled at how she stuck with the show the whole way through despite obviously hating miorine. like when the 50 page art book has pictures of everyone except miomio it's pretty obvious you hate her and I guess I should have known better than to give her a postcard in return (the one with suletta and miorine floating in space with the gundbits) but I just felt bad receiving something but not giving anything in return but I dunno. P-bandai HG Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model.

I did this like a month ago but I was in Japan for 2 weeks and otherwise didn't have a morning where I felt like taking pictures of it until now. Also it took like 2 years after the prologue for this to finally get a kit, and as always its pbandai again (at least im american where i have AC and pbandai access).

It's mostly the original Lfrith with the same runners in new colors, except with three new ones with small parts for a new torso and head that are slightly different, but mostly mostly the new runners have parts for the very involved backpack which takes up as much time as the arms and legs to build. It's comparable to the Pharact backpack because it has a bunch of moving parts and articulation that I loved. I was really into because of its colors but the backpack is still cool.

Most of the extra effort I put in was on the red/green sensor parts for the exploding gundbits. They came with individual stickers for each but they folded on a round surface so I refused to use them and used silver then metallic red/green gundam markers for it instead (although I now know from airbrush guides it would be better to use clear green/red over the silver next time). I also could have detailed them a bit more with panel liner but I was already going insane from cutting them off the runners and panel lining the backpack so I didn't. Also painted the white on the knee armor because the sticker on my old lfrith looks bad and is peeling.

Because everyhting on the body is the same it can do the same squat as normal lfrith, unlike its child lfrith jiu. My lfrith family collection picture isn't actually all of my stuff but I didn't feel like rearranging my shelf yet to put lfrith Ur and Thorn, but I'll probably do that when I do the gundvolva.

Also a bonus is the two gashapons I got at the gundam base store in Tokyo, the Z'gok and the Gundam TR-6 Haze'n-thley II (?). I got a few other things but I'll show those later.

Also to whom it may concern now that I'm done with my Japan trip im gonna buy all my airbrush stuff and try to do my first custom maybe starting in the next.

Got a new theory about Suletta and I don't like it....

We KNOW that Aerial is sentient, and the going theory for awhile is that Aerial is actually whatever remains of Erict Samaya, Elnora/Prospera's first daughter who we all initially assumed Suletta was under a different name.

I've been ducking this theory for while now but considering the age difference in Delling, Prospera now saying it's been 21 years rather than 14, and that it's been pointed out that Aerial's OS is "Ver. E.S." when Lfrith's was "Ver. 2.0" implying that the E.S. stands for "Erict Samaya.

No, what really did it for me is this scene right here:

Elan's cyber-newtype/Permet 4 vision combined with Suletta addressing each of the Gundbits as discrete entities leads me to believe that at some point in the past Erict pushed way WAY too hard in Lfrith and pulled a full blown Neon Genesis Evangelion situation and merged with the Mobile Suit mentally and that Suletta and potentially as many as 11 others clones have existed before. Hence: Marida Cruz/Ple-12 = Suletta Mercury.

So yeah - Eri would've died otherwise. I trust prospera on this. I'm just confused why Eri doesn't actually know what they're doing all this for. And why she doesn't have a voice.

I'm also surprised by 'permet particles'. I thought Permet was just a term for the level of integration between a human mind and a technological system - creating a network that increases reaction speed, multitasking and necessitates an AI.

I'm going back on Prospera wanting to upgrade all of humanity to reach Eri. Apparently permet score 8 will allow Eri to manifest herself physically? 'live in freedom'. What IS permet then?

If you expand the range of a data storm at that level you'll probably be killing anyone in it. So I guess...they went for an insane/nonsensical goal for Prospera... I'm disappointed. I wish it HAD been her trying to upgrade everyone because that DOES align with Vanadis Institute principles.

Ok so....

I LOVE Mio. She instantly knows to parry Prospera's accusation of being 'in the circle of murderers'. She instantly knows to say: these sins are MY FATHER'S sins - not mine. Kill him if you must but leave our generation out of it!

God. I LOVE Mio. She's....she's the intelligent protagonist I've always wanted. She's both intellectually and morally intelligent. She's got grit and pride and empathy. Prospera recognises it too: 'you're an impressive bride'.

Eri didn't kill Elan.... And we now know that Suletta is right to call them 'everyone'. There's an Eri for every GUNDbit I guess...

Prospera certainly is forthcoming....

Suletta genuinely is....how do you say. A played straight shonen protag. She's genuinely dumb. She's morally dumb and intellectually dumb. And her mum put her in a fucking all powerful killing machine. She has ONE certainty: her mother and that she's right - that everything will turn out fine if she listens to her and acts according to her lessons. And who wouldnt want a certainty like that? But that means that she is going to need to do what Prospera says, and lose. That's where this is heading.

It's amazing that Miorine goes to Prospera. She doesn't even hold it against Suletta. She actually loves her. She is shocked and aggrieved by Suletta smiling and committing to murder as the 'right thing' to do. RIGHTFULLY MIO MORALLY INTELLIGENT WOMAN MAKES THE POINT: IT IS NOT RIGHT TO KILL ANYONE. But she it doesn't attribute this to a flaw in Suletta that makes her unlovable. She pinpoints Prospera as a threat to Suletta, as the one who may turn Suletta in the killing machine she does not want her to be.

Why would Mio work with Prospera now though? Because she guilt tripped her? Because she knows Mio has no leverage (Suletta will not choose her in a fight, Aerial is needed for her company. She might lose everything she's built if Prospera decides) - and Mio knows it now too. Because she knows Mio is a fighter, and the way she's put it, Quiet Zero is a noble goal of her mother's. So though the best way to block Prospera from more power is to do nothing, it's likely that she will not.

The funny thing is actually, that Prospera a perfect villain. To me. She does her monologues at the right time in the narrative and it's not even strange that she does - it is the correct thing to do manipulation wise at that moment too. Revealing everything to Belemeria and inviting her to join her is actually brilliant because she knows pressure is mounting.

I understand that Eri wouldn't want to subject Suletta to a data storm (I don't think Suletta has ever been subjected to a data storm, even though they seem to be clones and so it wouldn't harm her) but that WOULD be the way to actually talk in GUND-space apparently.
