My mom went to some government office for an appointment yesterday and there was this lady who ran in and said she couldn't get her electronic ID to work and she was apparently all "the Russians! It's the Russians! The Russians hacked me!" and it's kinda funny cause like... the Russians absolutely do hack, like that is a documented thing the Russians do, also in Denmark, especially recently. But random womans PERSONAL electronic ID probably isn't a major goal. Also that electronic ID barely works as is. Sit down and have some Seroquel honey, it'll be okay

Headcanon

Yomiel sometimes does some side work for the police, on Jowd's request. He helps in cases of cybercrimes, where he has to track down a criminal/hacker's information or by decrypting files that can be used as evidence in cases. He does it mostly because he feels like he owes Jowd after all the trouble he put the detective through, and also because he wants to feel like he can actually help people using his knowledge, instead of hurting others like he did in the old timeline.

I swear to god every time I see the words "OCD hack" on any social media site, it's just another compulsion repackaged as "helpful advice"

^ this is not going to help you!!!! in any meaningful way!!! like this was followed by a lot of useful information from other people's reblogs about poison control which is nice but it's tacked onto this incredibly harmful post that is almost entirely unchallenged except for one person in the replies buried under a ton of supportive comments. This is just a compulsion even if it sounds more helpful than reading reddit and quora threads. Treating OCD does not involve finding new ways to reassure your paranoia, you have to learn to resist those compulsions and get help from a mental health professional and/or your support system.

There he was at the police station again. This time however, not as a suspect anymore, thank goodness. Jowd had asked him the night before to help decrypt some files that could be used to track a dangerous hacker that was stealing important information from the government. Yomiel couldn't deny a favor to Jowd, after all the trouble he'd put the detective through in the old timeline. And even after all that, Jowd had forgiven him and was even helping him deal with his trauma and memories of the past, so Yomiel felt like he owed him a lot, or else he wouldn't be standing there, at a place that definitely didn't bring him good memories.

Yomiel was sitting by the reception, with a cup of coffee as he held onto the pendrive with the decrypted information Jowd had asked for. He just needed to give this to him and he could finally leave that place.

Unfortunately for him, it wasn't Jowd who showed up.

The sounds of the familiar dancing around made Yomiel instantly snap out from the random magazine he had been reading while waiting, and at the sight of the man in white, he just let out a long, drawn out sigh.

“You again??? I was expecting to see Jowd.” The annoyance was evident in his voice.
