hghklfjs thank you for mentioning this one in the tags @cleromancy because it is amazing:
Batman/Punisher: Deadly Knights (1994) - Someone with real hackitude is mousing around the link farm. I'm going to have to get to the magic cookie before him and set up a nastygram for his homebox, I just CANNOT with this kid
Saw a post where someone wasn't sure if Tim being good at computers was a fanon thing or not and friend I am happy to inform you that he's been a computer/tech guy from some of his earliest appearances in the comics.
Detective Comics (Vol. 1) #620 (Rite of Passage part 4) - immersed in the ~web~
Robin II: The Joker's Wild #3 - tabletop roleplaying games and spending hours in the basement on the computer - not beating the geek allegations on these fronts, Timmy
Detective Comics (Vol. 1) #676 - Dick was more into traditional detective work and tended to outsource the computer stuff in these days
Batman (Vol. 1) #514 (Prodigal part 10) - hackin' through all the garbage and garble
Robin (1993) #33 - Robin sneaking in and connecting Oracle with the baddies' mainframe so she can do her thing and steal all their data >:)
Nightwing (1996) #6 - "no you're really talented and well suited to be Robin." "no, you." "no, YOU!"
Tim is definitely not as good as Babs/Oracle, but he's certainly her back-up for computer work in the 90's batfam. They're tech buddies and Robin!Tim is her little assistant sometimes, it's super cute:
Birds of Prey (1999) #19 - happy to play with big sister's fancy high-powered toys
Legends of the Dark Knight (1989) #125 - real cute kid
And Dick will hand off computer jobs to his little brother when he doesn't want to bother Babs 😂 (that outsourcing I mentioned):
Nightwing (1996) #68 - examine them pixel by pixel, eh? welp, sounds like a job only you can do, Timbo, you got this buddy, byyyyeeeee
And then when he'd grown up and been doing this for years, he leveled up accordingly, and did stuff like use his access to the League of Assassins computers to overload the generators in every base he could find, etc. etc.
Red Robin (2009) #8 - yeah that was pretty dumb of you Ra's :)
So yeah, it was a bit of a specialty of Tim's, in large part because he was introduced just at the turn into the 90's, when personal computers were really starting to take off and become widespread. (Robins gotta be cutting edge and all)
Of course, by no means does it follow that the other Bats suck at computers (there is no 'smart one' they are all incredibly smart and capable). This is especially true as reboots and the sliding timescale of comics have moved the DC characters into modern times, where computers run the world and everyone grows up with one in their pocket. The baseline familiarity and expertise that everyone can be expected to have is just much, much higher these days.
It gets exaggerated in fanon as all character traits do, but computer guy Tim is definitely not something just made up out of whole cloth :)b

Batkids ranked from least to most likely to bite somebody in a fight:
Harper: EW. GROSS. absolutely not. do you have ANY idea where these guys have been? neither does Harper, but she knows it isn't anywhere good. not happening!!!
Tim: hell no. this boy became Robin to fight bad guys with backflips and hackitude. he's not fucking biting anybody unless it's life or death.
Damian: listen. he KNOWS it's sometimes tactically appropriate to bite an opponent. but he also knows that every time he does he's reinforcing his image as the little bratty one, and he really hates giving his siblings the satisfaction.
Jason: biting agnostic. takes not particular pleasure in it but will do it if needed. seldom has the opportunity to bite his actual enemies anymore thanks to his big stupid helmet getting in the way, so a bit of a moot point.
Cassandra: extremely willing but rarely has to stoop that low thanks to her nearly superhuman ability to find more effective options. if Cass has to resort to biting you she truly couldn't think of anything else.
Dick: bit a lot as Robin because he was Little and always getting grabbed by goons who didn't know better; continues to do it as Nightwing because it freaks people out and he finds that very funny.
Barbara: statistically you're less likely to find yourself even fighting Babs at all since she tends to be away from the action doing her Oracle thing, but if you find yourself facing her you better hope god has mercy on your soul because biting is the least of what she'll do.
Duke: listen, man. he's smart AND he's crazy. he'll take any tactical advantage no matter how undignified it may seem. Duke won't enjoy it but he WILL bite.
Steph: Stephanie Brown will bite your fucking finger clean off with extremely little provocation. don't tempt her.
I think. nobody is ever prepared for how willing the batkids are to bite a motherfucker.

Is there room for another Hackitude?
In 2009 I ran a reasonably-successful hackathon calked Hackitude. It was the first time I'd tried anything like it, and was pleased with the final result, even if I did end up coding which I'd promised myself I wouldn't.
After this weekend's Launch48 fun and a few conversations, I started wondering whether there was perhaps room for another non-thematic hackathon. So how does it work?
For a few weeks before the event, anyone can suggest a problem, or a "what if" scenario. Things like "What if all the lampposts had QRcodes so we could use our mobiles to report when they'd gone out?" or "What if there was a map of all the allotments in Birmingham?" (We actually built the last one.) Developers and ideas people can then sign up to the event, and on the first night we pick the problem(s) we want to solve, then spend the weekend designing and building.
It's a less-talk-more-action kind of feel, borne out of frustration with a city that does lots of talking, but not much doing.
The first Hackitude was held at Aquila's former offices in Broad St and started off with a dozen or so people. I'd struggled getting events off the ground after that, but I'd like to try again. The only question is...
Would you?
