College Crush!Jeongin, whom you met in the most romance cliche way ever. He tripped on thin air while passing you in a building corridor, spilling the iced latte he was holding all over your clothes. 

College Crush!Jeongin, who looked up at you from the ground all stunned for a couple seconds while you berated him for ruining your outfit. He wasn’t one for love at first sight, but wow, were you glowing in his eyes. Or at least, enough to completely block out the string of curses that left your mouth in anger.

College Crush!Jeongin, who snapped back to reality when you started your attempts to leave, clumsily standing up to call you back. You were already pissed by how unapologetic he seemed in your view, not even bothering to say a single word to you while you were trying to converse with him about the issue at hand. But you looked back at his call anyway, hoping for a resolution since you really didn’t want this to ruin your day more than it already has.

College Crush!Jeongin, who looked like a kicked puppy at the raise of your brow, before apologizing and offering his hoodie for you to use as a cover-up. When you asked why he thought you’d so willingly wear a random man’s hoodie all around campus, he found himself questioning his line of thought too.

Maybe you were too harsh on him, seeing that he was genuinely apologetic about spilling his coffee all over you. You sighed and took his offer, trying to ignore the way his eyes sparkled when you did. Weren’t you supposed to be mad?

College Crush!Jeongin, whom you saw again in a cafe a week later. He was alone in a booth seat, studying diligently—albeit struggling. You, on the other hand, were looking for a vacant table to also study at, but to no avail. With a sigh, you approached him begrudgingly. You bit your cheek when he tilted his head at the sight of you. Perhaps you found it cute.

College Crush!Jeongin, who enthusiastically agreed to let you join him in the booth, somehow throwing all embarrassment out the window. If this were anyone else, he thinks he would never be this accommodating, but this was a chance for him to make it up to you. With a clear of your throat, you sat down and prepared your materials.

College Crush!Jeongin, who eventually seemed to have forgotten about your presence and released a frustrated groan out of his mouth due to the lesson material. You raised your head in question to look at him, only to see him fight an internal battle while glaring at the words on his notes. His eyebrows were knit together in forced concentration, which almost made you burst into laughter. After a brief contemplation, you decided to break the silence.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but it was also because your voice scratched his brain in a good way. You tried not to let it show how affected you were by his gaze.

His hair was tousled, and his clothes hung messily while he panted, almost like he ran over to you. But that didn’t seem to matter to him, as he wasted no time asking why you were avoiding him.

College Crush!Jeongin, who kissed you silly after your tearful confession, only breaking it off to ask you to be his officially. The way you started sobbing while saying yes was a memory that was going to haunt you until the end of time. Jeongin thinks it's cute, though. It's definitely something he’ll bring up to tease you about when he feels like it. Either way, he’s just so happy to also be yours.

• saw a bunny and tried to feed it but accidentally killed it off 😞

• her head would rest on your shoulder as the both of you play, occasionally tracing her thumb in tiny circles on your knee

• Literally one of the best cookies to play with. She always makes sure you have new weapons and armor, often giving her items to you ❤️‍🩹🙂‍↕️

• as soon as she found a bow in the game, that's all she ever used ( exceptionally her sword from time to time for close combat).

• one night you found her using the enchantment table to upgrade her bow. "what? I gotta make sure I can protect you, right?" was the only excuse she could come up with (which was partially true).

• never afraid to go in a cave. 🙂‍↔️ She'll put a torch up as she goes and you probably won't see her for another 45 minutes (unless you ventured off with her)

• once he gets used to the game, he gets more comfortable letting his guard down. I can imagine him having a bit of trouble at first, and needing some guidance.

• I feel like he would have 64 blocks of every type of wood in his inventory 💀"just in case". He doesn't like to stay in the same place for too long and avoids villages bc you like to camp there 💔

- honestly had no idea how to talk to you, since you either avoided him like the plague, or you glared at him ( you do this to everyone you don’t know , he’s a little stupid )

- it dawned on him when he FINALLY got to talk to you

- feels a bit bad for making you uncomfortable , no matter how many times you say it’s fine

- when your friendship is more established, he definitely teases you for how soft spoken you are

- got in trouble for calling you emo, was forced to listen to every sub-style between goth and emo

- when or if you start dating, he’s definitely way more lewd towards you

- calls you his “goth mommy” as a joke, cracks him up every time

- if you don’t like those things then he’ll definitely stop

- in general he loves you and your style, does the same as edd and buys you everything he can get his hands on

- wants you to do his makeup how you do but doesn’t know how to ask

- same as edd, will stare at anyone who laughs at you

The Desire to Protect a Loved One

Right at the beginning of the film we see several moments that demonstrate Khem's affection for Wan. He immediately steals something he knows Wan enjoys with an ease that suggests this is far from his first time.

But most importantly, we see this moment between them where he chooses to grab hold of the bloody knife that Wan pulled out of the assassinated noble.

We know that Wan is panicking and clueless about what to do but Khem realises that Wan should have left the knife in and he is the one that attempts to staunch the blood flow until he realises it is useless.

To me, this reads as him being willing to take the blame in that moment. He is protecting Wan at a potential cost to himself.

Of course the guards bursting in are going to see him with the knife and assume he is the killer and not Wan or the long escaped assassin. He is smart enough to realise that but he does it anyway.

So when we jump forwards to the end, I find it really interesting that we then see Chatra perform a very similar action for Khem.

Khem is going through it, my poor beautiful boy. His best friend has revealed himself as a key player in the troubles going on at ManSuang and he is threatening to blow up the whole place and kill everyone, including Khem.

Khem is conflicted, filled with grief, he wants to protect his friend but can see no way to do it, short of ordering him to leave and never come back. Which he tries and Wan ultimately refuses.

So Khem, in a moment of grief and agony, shoots Wan.

We see the shock on Chatra's face above as he stares across at Khem..it was not an action anyone was expecting from him.

Almost immediately, Chatra grabs the gun off of Khem. He doesn't need a gun, he still has his own and anyway, Wan is dead.

The only person he is protecting now is Khem. He takes the gun out of Khem's hand with no resistance..Khem is in a daze and unable to help himself so Chatra does it for him.

Look at their hands touching

One reason and the one that is most reminiscent of Khem's action of grabbing the knife at the beginning of the film, is that, should anyone else walk in right now, it is going to look like Chatra committed the murder and not Khem.

The other is that it is very possible that Chatra is worried that Khem might go on to hurt himself in this grief filled state. He knows Wan's importance to Khem, they talked about it on their date kite retrieving mission and Khem is clearly teetering on the edge.

Chatra's eyes never leave Khem for the rest of this scene, even though we do see Hong looking away in the background as Khem grieves.

Khem will later go on to burn the incriminating papers in an act that not only protects Chatra but also shows a complete disregard for his own life. (Failing the mission was a death sentence. Of course, Chatra doesn't let that happen but Khem had no way of knowing that when he set light to the papers so this shows that Chatra would be right to worry about Khem.) 🥺

So what I am basically saying is

Bonus rambling on Khem shooting Wan

I think (and this is purely my personal ManSuang obsessed speculation here,) that Khem chooses to shoot Wan in a twisted action of kindness for his friend.

He is doing what he knows must be done with his own hands. If Khem hadn't acted, we know Chatra was right there with his own gun and likely would have done it. Something that would probably have been seen as yet another act of violence against him by the Chinese in Wan's eyes, justifying his actions.

I think that's why we specifically see that Wan turns around despite the fact he was originally walking away and sees it was Khem before he dies.

Khem takes on this terrible task for Wan's sake and it ruins him to do so 💔

i’ve been here for a while and i still don’t know how to use this app anyways i need somewhere to post all my really random sampard headcannons so here we are honestly it’s really just random bullet points i’ve compiled and also most of this was written at 2am so there might be some spelling mistakes.. probably one other thing to mention, im not a lore reader,, i’ve been trying to recently because i find it really interesting but any details i’ve missed is bc i haven’t read it all yet 💔💔

gepard although hes not too great at taking plants (hes def trying tho) id like to think in his spare time he has like a book on floriography and goes to flower shops to buy sampo flowers with specific meanings?(like he goes to a flower shop and requests very specific types of flower arrangements)

sampo knows a LOT of things about belebog that no one else does some kind of like historical knowledge however i think the reason why sampo wont actually KNOw any floropgraphy is because with all his vast knowledge from across the universe as a masked fool, why would he bother to know something as ‘mundane’ as the meaning behind flowers.

to link to that, i think with sampos big world he sorrta gets dragged down to belebog in like a nice way and through gepard learns that the small things in life ACTUALLY matter or they noow matter. so for example these flowers he gets he never knows the meaning of them, def gets flustered by gepard initiating anything at all lmao.

i think sampo would ask around the underworld such as natasha, seele, even hook tbh about the meaning behind these flowers usually getting information from natasha. BUT he doesnt just outright ask he would like slip it into conversation because hes sly like that. Natasha very obviously catches on quite early on and although shes not as knowledgeable with the meanings she still retains enough information for sampo to start relying on her to help decode gepards bouquet.

one way or another serval catches wind of this (through natasha) and i think thats how she connects the dots

sampo most definitely leaves back notes with kisses on them on gepards windowsill (gep leaves his windows unlocked always.)

i can also imagine sampo to ‘retaliate’ somehow finding some extinct belobog flower and gifting it to geppie being all like ‘i bet ya can’t find the meaning behind this one’ lolll

gepard is a gay in denial in the sense that hes never had a crush on a woman but he sees madam poisson and he has a MASSIVE crush on her. everytime serval asks him if hes gay he brings up his ‘past’ crush on madam poisson.

gep is taller w shoes one but actually shorter than sampo usually but no one believes sampo when he says thisn bc no one sees gep without his boots off.

sampo could be having the most absolute worst day and see gepard and feel beter same works for gepard except he doesnt realise it as much because gepard is more like ‘huh my headache clears from seeing sampo yeah he just uh annoys me so much that i think my heacache is clearing hahahaha’

soarkle and sampo sibling dynamic seems really funny but at times i also dont see it if we apply the whole sampo might be an emanator theory idk i think its silly at times but sometime it doesnt make sense….

on the other hand although it doesnt logically work sampo and seele sibling dynamic i actually really like it like a lot

although gepard def gets flustered by sampos flirting all the time, the one who actually initiated anything i believe would be gepard (ill go more into why i think so at a later date)

both of them are really light sleepers and have trouble sleeping all the time

also gep likes to hold onto sampo a lot when they fall asleep cuz he get scared that sampo might just leave randomly

the more you look at yourself, the more you realize why people assume you and renjun are a couple.

at first, it was humorous to the two of you how people immediately assumed that you were a couple. they skipped past siblings, friends, or even acquaintances, and immediately thought, couple!

now, people assuming that your dating one of your friends has become one of the most normal prospects of your life, for some reason, people just think you date around a lot, they think you've somehow dated all of your friends, how riveting!

but with renjun, it's different. it's not like any of your other friends, where your disgusted at the idea of dating rumors even existing between you two.

the more you observe how you and renjun act with each other, the more your convinced that you two might actually look more like a couple then you think.

i mean— it's not weird for you two to share clothes, have matching bracelets, matching rings, sleep in the same bed, or just constantly lean on each other.

at this point, it's normal for renjun to just waltz into your place unannounced because he wants to. at this point he pretty much lives there, pretty much knowing every corner of your house.

having renjun curled up on your couch is not an abnormal sight to you. in fact, not seeing renjun at your once at least once a week is abnormal, it's almost as if he's moved in.

but the more you think about it, the more you realize the two of you may as well be a couple. you pretty much live together, the two of you cook for each other, the two of you take care of each other, your both the first person the other calls whenever your in trouble.

"bad day?" you ask as renjun storms into the house, pissed off. he doesn't even have to answer for you to know that he did in fact have a bad day, work just always brings out a side of renjun that's rare to see.

"seriously" renjun lets himself fall onto your lap. he lays your head onto your lap and pouts, he then lets out a frustrated sigh as he rethinks the day he had at work. "can't tell you how many times i wanted to absolutely punch customers today".

"do tell" you respond to that statement, and renjun just lets out another frustrated sigh.

"tell me why this women decides to come at me, because the store has no more teddies in stock! how is that my problem? it's not my fault you have to break the disappointment to your child! she was yelling at me like i'd just threatened her life or something!"

this isn't the first time renjun came to you with a story of something horrible happening at work, the complaints you hear from him are just gold, because it's funny hearing the usually calm and patient renjun be so frustrated and angry.

"i seriously hate your job".

"i hate my job too" he whines, pouting once again.

okay, was that too affectionate?

maybe you do kinda see why people think you and renjun are dating, but to you two that's just normal! renjun wouldn't say it's weird, and you wouldn't say it's weird either.

whenever you remember that scene, you just have to let out a laugh, because jaemin can be just so ridiculous sometimes.

They despised each other for a long time until they eventually started getting to know each other away from prying eyes. Jinx found out that user wasn’t what she seemed at first glance, and that she was actually weirdly funny and likable when she was alone with Jinx.

They soon started dating in secret, it was already a lot since they were both girls, but they were also in opposite friend groups. User was friends with all the popular and rich people, while Jinx was mostly by herself, other than some random guy named Ekko. The only time that user’s friends would talk to Jinx was to buy substances from her. User didn’t know that she didn’t actually like boys until she got to know Jinx and suddenly everything made sense.

After some months of dating, they got less careful and eventually a picture of them kissing at a party was all over social media. Surprisingly, most of user’s friends stuck around. User’s parents didn’t find out since they were too interested in their work and didn’t care enough to know these things about their daughter.

It took awhile for user to get used to holding her girlfriend’s hand as they walked through the crowded hallways of their school, despite most people not really caring that user was a lesbian. There was definitely some guys that got pissed off about that. Of course, none of them said anything to user while Jinx was there since she was known for getting into fights and causing trouble in general. Occasionally some people would let something slip out while Jinx was around, expecting her to fall over after one punch since she was short and slim, but they ended up with bruised skin and a hurt ego.

User and Jinx had been at a party that was filled with drunk teenagers and loud music, of course, user had been drinking quite a bit. Even though user was really popular, she was definitely more introverted and got exhausted around big amounts of people easily. She obviously wanted to go home after a few hours, so now Jinx was tasked with sneaking her drunk girlfriend back into user’s house without getting caught.

Silco is alive and Jinx’s legal guardian, like in season 1 Jinx doesn’t know where Vi went and thinks that she abandoned her.

It was one of those quiet nights. Crosshair was out on a date. Tech had dissapeared with Phee hours ago; Hunter had quickly retired to his bunk after experiencing a strong migraine, and Wrecker was sound asleep too. However, Omega couldn't find her own sleep; and quickly taking a glance at his brother's room, he saw that Echo couldn't either.

Her naked toes quietly advanced in the direction of the cockpit. There he was; Echo sitting in the copilot's seat and staring distractedly through the window, out to the stars on Pabu's peacefull night. By the expression on his face, Omega knew his mind felt anything but that; Echo's frown transforming his features into something painfull. She wondered if he was having nightmares too.

"Bad memories?" She quietly asked, jumping onto the pilot seat besides him.

Echo sighed, still staring at the stars.

"Yeah" was his only quiet answer, and Omega gave him time.

She thought on her own nightmares for several minutes; trying to reorganize her thoughts.

"Are you having trouble sleeping after Tantiss?" Echo then asks, finally turning in his chair to pay her undivided attention.

Omega shrugs.

"Kinda".

Echo's features fill with sympathy.

"Must have been horrible, being trapped in there" Echo shudders, remembering his own experiences with closed spaces.

To his surprise, Omega shrugs again.

"Not really" she answers, strangely unbothered. "I mean, it's not like I wanted to be there... But I've had it much worse".

Echo stares at her, and Omega feels like she needs to explain herself. Her feet come up to rest on the edge of the seat, chin resting on top of her knees. She's unconsciously making herself small.

"Kamino. That was worse than everything".

Silence fills the room.

Echo frowns. He had had his own fair of bad experiences with the long-necks and the way he and his brothers were treated; but that being worse than being on Imperial control?

"How so?" He carefully asks.

Omega's answer breaks his heart.

"Loneliness. My days in Kamino were dark and challenging; same in Tantiss. But at least while staying in Tantiss I knew I had you, even if you weren't there. In Kamino, before I met you all..." she pauses and flinches with the memories of her past. "I didn't have that. Didn't have the knowledge that you'd be waiting for me, looking for me. That I had someone on my side. That someone cared. That I wasn't alone. In Tantiss I remembered all the happy memories I had with you all. It gave me hope. In Kamino... It was terryfying being so alone".

Omega hadn't meant to say as much; but once she had started talking, the words had flied out of her mouth. Echo's patient and listens carefully; eyes filling with understanding and left hand slowly extending towards her. When it lands on her shoulder and squeezes gently, Omega relaxes and sighs. Her big eyes turn back towards him.

"Did you..." she hesitates. "Did you feel alone when you were with the Techno Union, Echo? Or you... didn't feel anything at all?"

Echo's experience has always been a banned theme of conversation in the Marauder; but Omega asks with no malice, almost begging for someone to understand her, and Echo feels like she's revealed so much of her own feelings and thoughts he kinda owes it to her. He loves her sister so much... If sharing trauma will make her feel better and help her process her memories best, he'd tell her anything she asked for.

"I did, yeah" the tremble that breaks througj his body at remembering is inevitable. "I wasn't conscious all the time, but in the middle of the dizzyness and confussion, i remember being scared and terrified. I didn't understand what was happening most of the time. Sometimes I did. I just wanted to go back to my brothers, out of that... Thing, to be freed. To be me. Loneliness is one of the worst feelings in the world, yes."

It somehow soothes some internal part of him, speaking it out loud. Maybe this conversation will serve them both good.

Omega reaches out and mimicks his previous gesture; squeezing his shoulder gently.

"I'm sorry you had to go through all that, Echo. I'm so happy I have all of you now..." her voice is soft and reverent.

Sadness dissappears from Echo's eyes. He looks at her; at how her features have morphed from a kid's to a teenager and then continued changing to a young woman. They're lucky to have her.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that too, Meg" he answers, quietly, gently.

He gives her a small smile, and stands up offering his hand to her.

"How about we both try to nap together, troublemaker?"

Omega smiles. It feels him with warmth.

"Alright" she agrees, slipping her hand onto his and walking with him in the direction of the bunk room. "A pair of hours is better than none. Cross won't be happy we invade his bed for the night, though".

Echo snorts.

"The motherfucker still complains about his perfectly comfortable bed when he's well aware I still sleep in a hammock" he mutters, then grins at her. "He'll be alright".

Oopsie, I guess I had this one posted over on the blog, but it looks like it never made it over to Tumblr. It’s not a story, but a history/backstory timeline on Jordan and Colette and their 10-year “relationship” (= hot & cold co-parenting partnership with occasional benefits?).

There’s not much shockingly new information here—most of this has been mentioned or discussed in one place or another, but some of it may have been easily overlooked or lost in the mess. It’s something I wrote for my own purposes as I was drafting, but I thought maybe some of you might find it interesting to read? Or not? Carry on as you like, lol!

Can you even imagine a time when Colette was carefree and happy? They were such babies. 💔

So it’s June 2078 when Jordan and Colette meet at a college party. He is 18, fresh out of high school, and invited by some friends (he didn’t go to college himself). She is 21 and about to start her third year of studying for a business degree where she intends to be super successful and rich. They begin dating (screwing) casually but often. The relationship is fun, but very superficial.

October 2078 — Colette gets knocked up with the twins. Jordan is instantly freaked out, especially a couple months into the pregnancy when they learn that it’s twins. Their short “relationship” ended right away. Colette was put off by his immaturity, and Jordan was put off by her pressure. Colette thought long and hard about abortion, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Spring 2079 — With great effort, Colette completes her third year of classes while pregnant. She keeps in touch with Jordan, but their correspondence is only to discuss their impending parenthood. She’s already written him off as a deadbeat, but she keeps the line of communication open because she figures her kids should know their dad. Even if he’s useless.

June 2079, Felix and Milo are born. Jordan is not there to witness their birth—Colette didn’t invite him, but he also didn’t ask to be there. He meets the boys when they’re a couple weeks old. He only offers to take them when his dad is available to help because the idea of being left alone with two newborns scares the shit out of him!

When the boys are 4 weeks old, this story takes place.   

Fall 2079 — Colette puts her degree on hold, being a single mother to twins. She has to focus on working to support them by herself, trying to find babysitters, having no family of her own nearby. Her family is alive, but unhelpful. Colette is the prideful type who won’t beg for help from them, and so she would rather do it on her own. She doesn’t have much help from Jordan, but she has his dad. Jordan is 19 and still waffling between jobs. Jordan’s dad sends money when he can.

Spring 2080 — Colette (23) is nagging Jordan to get a better job, then his father also starts to imply he should get some steady work. Jordan (20) feels burdened by the pressure of it all and that one stupid mistake when he was barely an adult should ruin his whole life, so he flakes out to go traveling.

Colette keeps in touch with his dad while he’s gone, who still sends money to her when he can and enjoys taking the boys when he’s not working. Mick doesn’t think she’s a nice girl, but he’s sympathetic to her situation, having raised Jordan as a single dad. And he feels responsible for the trouble his son caused her.

If there’s any truly new information I realized while writing this timeline, it would be how close Colette was with Jordan’s dad, and how much he contributed when she had nobody else to rely on.   

Summer 2080 — Jordan discovers credit cards, which they hand out too easily to young adults. He goes backpacking in Europe. The gear and hostels and restaurants and plane tickets are very expensive, but the adventure is too tempting to say no. Especially when huge responsibility looms at home. He works odd jobs to keep up with the minimum payments most of the time, but the debt is racking up.

2080-2081 — he comes home occasionally, and he attempts to see the boys when he does, but Colette is pissed that he’s off adventuring while she’s stuck looking after twins by herself and trying to build a career. She wants more committed involvement from him, but she can’t afford a lawyer to enforce child support or a custody schedule.

Winter 2082 — Jordan is home and traveling intermittently. While he’s backpacking in California, his dad dies. He hears about it from Colette. He’s 22, Colette is 25, the boys are 2.5. Jordan inherits what little equity his dad had in their home, but it isn’t much and it’s soon wasted in trying to keep up payments.

Summer 2082 — He can’t keep up with the mortgage payments on his own, and the house goes into foreclosure. He has really fucked up everything, and he feels lost and completely alone. The boys turn three. He doesn’t have a real bond with them—they knew their grandfather more than they know their dad. But in his desperation, he reaches out to Colette because those boys and Colette are the only family he has left in the world.

Fall, winter 2082 — As it turns out, Colette is working in real estate now. She sees an opportunity here. He wants to know his kids, and he needs help selling his dad’s house and doing something about his debts. Colette is clever and money-minded, but she also needs help. She wants consistent involvement from him so she can return to school to finish her business degree. He moves in with her platonically and becomes a stay-at-home dad, and Colette helps make his money problems go away.

This little drabble takes place. 

Jordan falls into fatherhood quite nicely the second time around. 

Also at some point in about 2083, he and Colette resume their sexual relationship. (Not gonna call it romantic, it was pretty purely just sexual—roommates and co-parents with benefits?) They’re both lonely, and neither of them have dated since they were first together (Colette because of being a single mom to twins, and Jordan because he’s terrified of getting someone pregnant again), and living together makes it easy to fall into again. They’re older and much more careful this time.

Summer 2084 — the boys turn five and start kindergarten, which frees up Jordan to find steady work. He starts working maintenance at Coolidge House County Inn.

2084-2085 — their relationship at this point is complicated, hot and cold, and likely codependent. She wouldn’t mind marriage as a financial benefit, but she wants to keep an open relationship (though when she’d find the time to date other men is another story). He doesn’t want that and doesn’t want to marry her, either. The sex is good, as far as he knows (he was a virgin before he met her). She can be bossy and cruel, which he tries to brush off (tries and sometimes fails). She reminds him constantly of how he ran off when the babies were little and how she fixed his whole messy life for him when he came back. He refuses to aspire to more, as she demands. He feels both indebted to her and also caged by these debts he will never repay and ideals he will never meet. But she was the only one who knew his dad, and they’re something of a family. He has become attached to his boys, finally, and the family they’ve made is not trivial. He enjoys not having to worry about things like bills and taxes. He doesn’t want to rock the boat.

Summer 2086 — Maria starts working at Coolidge House. It’s love at first sight for her, but he will remain oblivious for a while still. 

2087 — Maria’s crush continues to grow into what she will call “an impossible and tragic love.” Jordan notices finally, thinking she is adorable, warm, and obviously beautiful, but far too precious to be a romantic option for him. She is a widow and single mother, and she needs someone more reliable than he has known himself to be. He adores her, but he doesn’t want to bring his chaos into her life. So they become friends, and the friendship is easy, nourishing, and fun. He loves going to work because she’s there. Bonus, Colette likes the extra money, although she still nags him to aspire to something more.

January 2088 — their first real story on the blog. Maria is 26, Jordan is 28, and Colette is 31. 

July 2088 — my sweetheart stories begin.

September 2088 — boxes and squares stories begin.

BUT there's a big event and that is jason's murder. bc of that they both change, for the worst too. bruce goes back to being closed and distant, and slowly lissa becomes more and more quiet and scared, much to the point of abandoning viligantism. it caused a lot of harm, so much that they couldn't talk or even look into each other's eyes, until she leaves him one afternoon without a word. AND it WAS solved but only like 20 years in the future :P and they're back to being lovey dovey but now also old

bruce had just lost one of the loves of his life (selina), while melissa was single for most of her life in gotham bc she had a troubled relationship before, so in a way, it's not like they truly gave up on finding love, they just... stopped bothering to find one

and it was... truly something, for her. falling in love with gotham's prince as you get to know him, but still so in the dark about his true self. yes he's handsome, yes he's hot, yes i want to have him to myself and i melt at him just calling my name, but is he trust-worthy? does he has good intentions? he has a child, does he impregnates women and leave them, not even bothering to help financially? so many questions. so little time with him

and for him it was so refreshing, but so scary too! falling in love again in such a short period of time, for someone that shared so many similarities with his past lover! what if she gets involved in his life and media makes her life living hell? what if someone goes after her (trying to hurt bruce, not batman). what if the joker somehow finds out she's related to batman as well, and uses her against him, like he did with selina? so many fears and such a desire to be with her

🔥 MONSTA X - Jealousy: who is the most jealous? how is that jealousy managed? when does it happen? is it easily triggered?

lissa is the most jealous ofc, she's dating the fucking prince of gotham! he has every girl (and boy too let's be honest) under his feet, waiting for a mistake of her to take her place. she gets so blind with jealousy when they're out and about in a gala, and so mad at herself for thinking this about bruce, that she usually asks to leave earlier

for the first months of relationship it was quite the trouble and reason for fights that, different from other couples (looking at you discostick and class duties), didn't end in bed but rather with her crying and storming off. it may have looked doomed, bc it didn't get better even with him reassuring her that he had eyes for no one else, but she swallowed her pride (oh no she's not letting bruce fucking wayne go) and made sure to let everyone know he's hers at every gala, and that was the only way she calmed herself from the jealousy

he feels jealousy too from time to time but it's not as intense as hers

a quiet looms over us, i’m terrified to break it. “…is it terrible if i say yes?” i whisper, and continue. “if he wanted to, i would forget about maeve in a heartbeat.”

penelope is quiet, trying to find a good answer. “it’s not crazy,” she speaks softly, in that same sweet tone of hers. “you’ve loved him for… for forever, sweet boy, of course you’d want to, but… is that fair to you?”

maybe in his grief, he’d come back. i would let him.

“you guys… the team, god, you really don’t have to walk on eggshells around me, though. i’m fine.” penelope scoffs— (‘fine?! f-fine? oh, oh, i.. hah! fine!’). “okay, not fine, i want to die, but spencer’s dealing with a literal death, so compared to him—!”

she stops me. “and you’re dealing with the death of a nearly six year relationship,” she shakes my shoulders gently. “let– us– help– youuuu! it doesn’t matter what he’s going through, he’s a jerk!”

my jaw drops. “penelope.”

“not like i could do anything. he’s hardly been responsive since that night.” i take a sip. “i think… the wound is just too new, it’s… he’s grieving, i guess.”

“what? so he could lose interest all over again? as if it wasn’t a miracle he liked me in the first place.”

she’s soo over the self-pitying, i just know it, but she’s kind about it— choosing to try to uplift me instead of chastising me for my harsh words. “oh, please, do you remember how awkward and all nervous reid always was because if you?! please… if anything he was lucky.”

maybe i was mad at spencer. maybe i was really fucking upset, but i don’t think i would restart. we had our time, and i thought we were happy, and if that’s all we were meant to have, maybe that’s just it.
