I’m only able to give the show grace for so long for not acknowledging actors, specifically ones that play Eddie and Buck’s love interests. At some point it looks deliberate and no reason is a good reason. You don’t want hate from the buddies? What are you, 12? No one on set liked all of those actors? Suck it up and be professional.
Whether they mean to or not, they enable the toxic behavior from fandom.
And I’m glad everyone there can just brush this off, but their guest employees are out here being harassed year after year.
All this shit doesn’t make the guest actors look bad, it makes the cast and show look bad.
Like you want me to believe that every single actor who has played a love interest are so terrible they don’t deserve any acknowledgment from their colleagues or show? Who’s the common denominator here?
According to the fans, Oliver has hated every single love interest plot and every actor who’s played his love interest and he’s made passive aggressive posts. Again, who is the common denominator here?
All the previous guest actors who have played love interests should get together and create a manual for the next one(s) coming in. “Handling fandom harassment: All on your own without any of your colleagues or employer helping (in fact, one of them might even think you deserve it, he’s not sure.)”

I have a request!!! Sensei Wolf x Reader Wife. Both are senseis from Iron Dragons, and Wolf gets jealous after a sensei from another dojo hits on her. And the students can only laugh discreetly at the sight of their sensei being jealous.
𝐣𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 | sensei wolf × fem!reader
summary | at the annual martial arts exhibition, a new sensei openly flirts with you, drawing the immediate and intense jealousy of wolf
warnings | jealous/possessive behavior, mild aggression, heavy romantic/territorial attitude
word count | 0.7 k
author's note | it would help me a lot if you liked, commented and reposted so that more people read what I write and don't forget to follow me, thanks ᡣ𐭩

The Iron Dragons dojo had always been a place of discipline and respect, but also of camaraderie. Its students were used to seeing their senseis working in perfect sync: you and Sensei Wolf, a couple both on and off the tatami, led with firmness and passion. It was no secret that there was an unbreakable chemistry between you two, but what few had witnessed was how Wolf handled jealousy… until now.
Several new dojos had arrived at the annual martial arts exhibition, bringing their respective senseis with them. Among them, one, in particular, seemed too interested in you. A tall man with a confident smile and polished manners who never missed an opportunity to address you with comments that ranged from professional to dangerously flirtatious.
"It's incredible to see such a talented sensei like you. Not many can balance strength and grace at the same time." His gaze lingering on your figure did not go unnoticed.
"Thank you." You kept your response brief and professional, unwilling to play along.
However, before you could step away, Sensei Wolf’s imposing presence materialized beside you. His eyes burned like flames, his jaw was tense, and his posture spoke for itself—he was furious.
"Do you need something, friend?" His deep, dry voice cut through the air like a katana.
The other sensei, seemingly unaware of the danger he was in, smiled arrogantly.
"Just appreciating talent, Wolf. You have an impressive wife. You must be proud."
That was his mistake. Wolf stepped forward, his presence wrapping around you in a mix of possessiveness and territoriality. His hands clenched into fists, and though he wasn’t one to fight without reason, everyone in the dojo knew that if someone provoked him, the beast would come out.
"I am," he growled, "and I don’t need anyone else to appreciate her."
The tension in the air was thick, and your students, who had been watching from a corner, exchanged amused glances. It was rare to see their sensei lose his composure, and his almost childish jealousy entertained them.
You decided to intervene before things escalated.
"Come on, darling. It’s not worth it." You gently took his hand, pulling him away.
Wolf didn’t protest, but his body was rigid as he let you guide him out of the common area. The students barely waited for you both to leave before exchanging whispers and quiet laughter.
"I’ve never seen Sensei Wolf so jealous."
"If looks could kill, that guy would be dead."
But they weren’t far enough for Wolf not to hear. He let out a low growl, his arm tightening around your waist as he led you toward his private office inside the dojo.
As soon as you crossed the door, his grip became more intense, his mouth descending dangerously close to your neck.
"That idiot got under my skin," he murmured, his voice rough against your skin.
"You don’t have to be like this. I’m not interested in him at all."
"I know," he admitted, "but that doesn’t mean I like seeing other idiots looking at you like they have a chance."
His hand traveled to your hip, squeezing it with a mix of frustration and desire. The air between you grew heavy.
"Do you know how hard it was not to rip his head off right there?" he whispered into your ear.
"I think I noticed," you replied with a smile, enjoying his reaction.
His response was immediate. Before you could react, Wolf pinned you against the wall, his mouth claiming yours with hunger. The kiss was deep, desperate, as if he needed to remind you who you belonged to.
His hands roamed your back, pulling you flush against his body as his tongue explored your mouth with a dominance that left you breathless. There was nothing gentle about the way he took you—only pure, burning possessiveness.
"You’re mine," he murmured against your lips, his fingers tangling in your hair.
"Always," you answered without hesitation.
And when his mouth trailed down your neck, leaving scorching kisses to mark you, you knew this was his way of making sure no one else would ever cross the line again.

Hyunjin Jealousy
SKZ Jealousy series pt. 4: (when they're in a serious relationship do they get jealous at all? What makes them jealous if they get jealous? How do they act in a relationship? What's their response/behavior when jealous? How do they handle it?)
He’s jealous. EXTREMELY jealous. He is jealousy. Jealousy is him. Him and jealousy are like Bonnie and Clyde but more destructive and even CLOSER.
First off, this man is sensitive. He’s sensitive and he’s very emotionally mature since he’s been so in-tune with them all his life until he’s not. Until all of a sudden he’s having an existential crisis because his partner touched Chan’s arm so naturally the only sensible response is to end Chan’s entire bloodline. I’m exaggerating but you get the picture.
He gets very irrational when jealous. His jealousy stems from insecurity, pride, and being easily overwhelmed. He doesn’t like being jealous so he acts like he’s not. He puts up this facade of “Oh, you want my partner? Try and take them.” But inwardly he’s having an entire panic attack.
He’s also just very territorial and possessive on top of that which strokes the flames.
When he’s jealous he’s emotional. When he’s feeling territorial he gets jealous. When he’s feeling possessive he gets jealous. When he’s emotional he’s angry. When he gets angry he shows that D1 crashout I know for a fact is in there somewhere.
(Me and my bsf have decided Han is the Baby Kia to his Kendrick. If you get it you get it.)
He gets DEEPLY jealous. I’m talking this impacts his SOUL. When he gets jealous.
Oddly enough, when he gets jealous everything clears. He’s never patient. He’s not a patient person. But his jealousy is very patient. His territorial and possessiveness are all Aries. All mars. Fiery and loud and bright and quick to flare up but quick to go out.
But his jealousy? It’s an entirely different story. His jealousy is all Pisces and water and even has some Scorpio influences due to a few of his placements. His jealousy is quiet and all consuming.
He’s smart with his jealousy. Manipulative even.
Like oh, he sees his partner having a little too much fun with another guy. Laughing too much at their jokes and touching their arm a little too long during conversation.
So naturally, he comes up and doesn’t make it obvious he cares. If anything, it’s the opposite. He acts like everything’s fine and he’s confident and he doesn’t care. But he says little things.
Like “Oh, I didn’t know you were into charity now. Giving out free laughs for those who can’t work for them.” Or some BS like that in his S/O’s ear and they’re just like “😃😄😃”.
He’s very passive aggressive with the other person. He latches onto each insecurity he can sense and batters them in the nicest way possible.
Then he slowly gets worse and worse. Like; “You’re so brave for never succumbing to beauty standards. Like, you never got those braces you need so much. Or shaved your unibrow.”
He doesn’t act bothered. But he is bothered. Very bothered. He just smiles and laughs as if nothings wrong and he’s confident and normal and calm. But inside he’s a mess.
I think he’s particularly graceful when jealous. All ethereal and princely in a way that makes the other person feel like a worthless bum in comparison. And he knows it.
He tells himself that.
He tells himself he’s perfect and the best, and he’s obviously better than this person so really they’re not a threat. But he’s threatened. Because he’s insecure. Because he’s so scared of losing his partner to someone else. And that’s where all his jealousy stems back to.
His possessiveness and territorial ness are his nature. There’s no real root because they just are. His jealousy is a defense mechanism and a result of other things.
He gives them chances though. Opportunities to try to sway his partner. To prove he’s better even though he’s not sure himself and the entire time he’s on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Jealousy exhausts him. He doesn’t like it. But he’s helpless to stop it. Hell, it actively makes him feel helpless. Jealousy makes him sad, borderline depressed even. And after he’s in that situation he probably cries a lot.
A lot.
He hates being put in situations like those.
He also gets horny. This isn’t even just me saying stuff the cards and the stars have spoken he gets so fucking horny. Jealous sex is a thing. Honestly, with Hyunjin there’s sex for everything at this point the little shit but that’s not the point we’re not getting into that today.
He has a lot of self-pity during and after getting jealous. He’ll blame his partner regardless of if it’s their fault. And he will DURING the…Devil’s tango too. Is it still slut shaming if it comes out as sexy degradation? Yes. And he’s a D1 slut shamer when he’s jealous.
Definitely a conspiracy theorist when jealous.
And more sex with these cards. Trying to keep this PG-13 at least but Hyunjin’s a little special. Still love him though.
He also has a weird jealousy fantasy I’m not gonna think about the implications of let alone get into.
Definitely anxious attachment style.
The type to send a “Damn what position y’all in?” Text if you leave him on delivered for too long except he genuinely means it.
He thinks it’s intuition. It’s just anxiety.
Also sucks up to his S/O after getting jealous.
He gets jealous over everything. No one thing in particular, but just… Everything. He gets jealous quick and like I’ve said he gets aggressively jealous.
Jealousy definitely starts a lot of arguments. He says cruel things, gets cruel things said back.
Also did I mention he’s a D1 crashout? I know FOR A FACT if he catches his partner cheating or even getting like fondled he is CRASHING. OUT.
But that’s for another day
May the force be with you if you have the misfortune of being the cause of a crashout.

The sergeant was a wily thing. One hell of a soldier, keeping up with Soap and Gaz. Could handle their asses and throw some snark back when given. Had a demeanor like ghost, snarling at any hand offered, thinking it’s raised in violence. Yet, though almost invisible, clings to those very few words of praise given.
Skittish, almost in their aggression. Cold in their professionalism. A good soldier of course- never failing to meet expectations and go above if they absolutely must. Relishing their solitude. -Alone is safe- they remind themselves.
Ghost is the one to offer them up to price, like a guard dog bringing the limp body of their conquest to the feet of their master with that nervous expression. Of course, reader couldn’t see it. Thought it was just the LT trying to make them a better soldier.
-wanna be like you when I’m older, LT.-
Reader standing still, that same raw gleam in their eyes that price recognized from Ghost. (Before he’d tempered him, weathered him to fit his hand like a glove, a sword to wield.) A sense of… ease filling reader when the captain agrees, relenting to Ghost’s request for him to take her under the captain’s wing.
Like a mutt in the pound, unknowingly welcoming the noose around their neck. No clue of the games and tricks price would be playing to keep them docile- complacent.
Scheduled to the captain’s liking, tied to the Lieutenant’s own routine; can’t escape. More training than other soldiers- harder, intense. Almost alarming, the significant drop in free time or rest periods they had between training and marksmanship practice. Break their body, punishments and rewards. Running till they drop, feed them a compliment to feed that little worm he’d put in their skull.
-No energy to give attitude.- price would mumble to Ghost who stood by, remembering his own time trained under Price. He’s using the same tactics he used to ‘tame’ ghost. Now he’s the warden looking in on their shared prisoner who was on mile five with that heavy gear on. Good cop, bad cop. The LT dishing out heavy tasks, making reader struggle to complete them until they’re grasping at straws, begging for help.
Who steps in to comfort with gentle words and open arms? Price, reinforcing the bond between them. Finally treated as something other than a living weapon, more than just a tool to be discarded at the first crack. Reader welcomed it; First time in their life they’re shown decency or compassion. -Cling to it like your life depends on it- the voice in their head whispers and they agree. Not just a martyr in their eyes but someone with purpose.
Becoming malleable like clay in their hands as time goes on. How long? Depends…. Got reader to stop snapping at ghost after five weeks, stopped flinching at Price’s ‘adjustments’ when they’d spar and his fingers would graze the smallest of exposed skin after three months. Stopped clawing at them, didn’t feel like a mutt anymore.
Couldn’t say when it started, but they found themselves getting fewer and fewer punishments. The fact the less harsh treatment started when they stopped fighting them so hard on anything. More sweetly manipulative words from price, ghost brushing against them and getting his timbre scent all on them.
Didn’t mean there weren’t times when old habits would arise, making comments on a stupid plan for their mission. Of course the behavior was usually short lived when it came around. only to find themselves almost coughing their meal up after a brutal sparring match with Ghost. Mumbling apologies, coughing up ‘I’m sorry’s’ after each blow until they accept.
Looking up from their kneeling position with a pretty purple and blue bruise on their cheek. A little drop of crimson from a split lip, the shade matching the color on Ghost’s glove. What a sight… Their cheeks in their Captain and Lieutenant’s gloved hands, skin not touching. Pleading for forgiveness like they were at an altar of their god, pathetic for grace. When it’s given, they finally feel that euphoria the duo had been systematically training reader to crave.
Finally had them after a year- under their thumbs, welcoming the collar around their neck with an almost dazed expression. Knowing the collar meant comfort, familiarity, meant a purpose. Not just embracing the hold they had- craving it. Needing it like oxygen. Pliant- tamed.

(The Fungus universe)
Tw: Yandere, possessive behavior
How jealous are they when you spend time with other ‘people’?
The Liar(A man made of mold): Your relations and whom you spend time with are none of his concern. As long as those ‘people’ are corrupted. There are indeed moments where he can feel a twinge of jealousy, yet it doesn't come from his heart or mind. It comes from a voice in the mold that doesn't believe in his own judgment. A voice that comes from his skin and body that judges the way he handles his ‘Obsession’.
Poison(chemist): She doesn't mind. She knows the way things are meant to be done on the site. All the leaders are meant to share you. You are something meant to be passed around, why would she be jealous?
The Cannibal: Nope. The cannibals are practically abandoned, so feeling jealous is the least of his concerns. Also, ignorance is bliss or more like stupidity is bliss.
Doppelganger: Oh, the other leaders can have you all they want. He sees them as equals, just don't insinuate that they are more talented, pretty, interesting, or better than him at anything and all will be good. No joke, he becomes quite irritable to everyone when he feels there is some competition. Especially toward you, annoying, rude, and many remarks of “Oh, you want my help? Why don't you call your ‘darling’ Priest over? Pathetic.”
Illusionist(’human’ made of butterflies): :D Personally, they wouldn't care, but their ideals sometimes align with Doppelganger’s ideals. Illusionist quite often follows Doppelganger’s lead, yet not to the same extremes. Maybe a pouty, “Do you think the others are better than me🥲?”
The Eye in the Sky: It's his job to literally watch you spend your time with everyone besides him. Believe him, he doesn't care. If he did, he would have killed himself a long time ago.
The Priest: It hurts him to see you with others. To enjoy their company after all the sacrifices and work he has put into being in your graces. He has molded himself to be to your liking. How could you enjoy spending time with other people? Isn't he good enough? Well, he won't ever be bold enough to tell it to your face. Might sprinkle in his discontent but never told straight.
“Mother”(The Priest's wife): She on the other hand boils like a pot of water. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. She is in no position of power to change what is happening, but she will make it everyone’s problem. Since there is a difference, the Priest blames himself, she blames everyone pulling you away from her. She doesn't believe in being wrong. She never is in her eyes. Yet, the most she can do is be unhelpful and passive-aggressive toward others. Might even point some of that anger towards you.
(Since it won the vote. I'm slow at the moment. Tried to draw a long drawing for a post but then it turned out shit so I had nothing to post)

Closing the door behind you, your heart pounded but you managed to keep your face from betraying the tension you felt. “That’s right,” you replied, keeping your voice even. “And you must be Steven Grant Rogers. Can I help you with something?”
Slowly, he stood up, his movements deliberate as if he had all the time in the world. “Just wanted to meet the new person poking around in my business,” he stated, his tone deceptively casual. “I hope you’re smart enough to follow Fury’s lead, we had an understanding, you see.”
You refused to be cowed by his presence as you met his gaze. “I’m here to do my job,” you said, your tone firm. “I’m sure you understand.”
Taking a step closer, the space between you shrinking to an uncomfortable proximity, his smirk widened. “Let me give you a piece of advice,” he said, his voice dropping to a low, threatening whisper. “Stay out of my way. We don’t want any trouble, do we?”
You felt the intensity of his gaze and the unspoken menace in his words. “I’ll be sure to keep that in mind,” you said, never breaking eye contact. “But, Mr Rogers, I will not compromise my duty.”
He let out a soft chuckle, however it held no warmth. “Duty,” he repeated with a mocking tone. “Just remember, Doll, duty doesn’t protect you from consequences.” He turned, walking towards the door as he continued. “You don’t want to make an enemy out of me, Officer. Trust me on that.”
As he reached the door, he paused again, his hand resting on the doorknob. “Oh, and one more thing,” he said, a colder edge carried in his voice. His eyes narrowed as he turned back to face you. “I heard you visited the art gallery the other day.”
Stiffening, you tried to maintain your composure. “Just appreciating some local art,” you replied, your tone measured.
Steve’s expression darkened, and he took a step closer, his presence loomed over you. “My sister doesn’t need your kind of attention,” he spoke, low and menacing. “She’s got nothing to do with this, and I’d hate for her to get caught up in something that’s not her business.”
You held his gaze, refusing to show any sign of intimidation. “I was just making conversation,” you said evenly. “She’s a talented artist, her work is impressive.”
His lips curled into a mirthless smile. “You see, I don’t think that’s all you were doing. So, let me make this perfectly clear: stay the fuck away from her. If I hear the slightest whisper that you've been around her again, it won't end well for you. I will make your life a living hell. Do you understand me? You'll regret ever setting foot in my city."
His words and their intensity sent a chill down your spine, but yet you didn’t flinch. “I understand,” you said with a steady voice. “But know this: I’m not here to play games. I’m here to do my job, and nothing will stop me from doing that.”
A hard, cold look replaced Steve’s smile as it vanished. He was so close now that you could see the muscles in his jaw tense, and you could hear the barely controlled rage in his breathing. “We’ll see about that,” he retorted, a final, chilling warning. Abruptly, he turned and walked out of your office, slamming the door shut behind him with a force that made the walls tremble.
~
The pieces of the puzzle slowly began to come together over the next few days, you worked tirelessly with Hill. The pair of you poring over records and conducting discreet interviews. A web of corruption and loyalty, stretching deep into the precinct began to reveal itself.
Approaching you with a file in hand, Hill called you before you left the station. “I think I’ve found something,” she said, her voice urgent. “One of Fury’s old contacts– an informant who might be willing to talk.”
“Who is it?” you asked, taking the file from her.
“His name is Clint Barton. He used to run with the Avengers but fell out with them a few years back. He might have valuable information.”
You noted Barton’s last known address as you glanced through the file. “Let’s pay him a visit.”
Later that evening, you and Hill arrived at a rundown apartment building on the outskirts of the city. The smell of decay and neglect was thick in the air. You felt a growing sense of unease as you climbed the creaky stairs to Barton’s apartment.
Hill knocked on the door, and after a moment, it creaked open to reveal a disheveled man with sharp, wary eyes and tattoos covering his skin. “What do you want?” he asked, his voice rough.
“We’re not here to cause any trouble,” Hill said quickly, flashing her badge toward him. “We just want to talk.”
He eyes you both suspiciously before stepping aside. “Fine. Come in.”
The apartment was small and cluttered, he motioned for you to sit as he closed the door behind you. “So, what do you want to talk about?”
“We’re looking to the Avengers,” you said, meeting his gaze. “We know you used to be close to them. We need information, anything that can help us bring them down.”
A bitter laugh escaped Barton’s lips. “You’re barking up the wrong tree. These guys are untouchable.”
“They’re not untouchable,” Hill interrupted. “We know about the corruption and the bribes. We just need proof.”
Leaning back in his chair, Barton’s eyes hardened. “And, you think I’m going to help you? You think I’d betray my friends?”
“They abandoned you,” you said, testing the appeal to his sense of betrayal. “They left you out in the cold.”
Barton’s expression darkened. “You don’t know a damn thing about what happened,” he snapped. “Yeah, I had a falling out with them, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to turn my back on them. We were a family. You don’t just walk away from that.”
Glancing at you, Hill’s expression was one of frustration and determination. “Clint, we’re offering you a way out. A chance to start fresh. Help us, and we can protect you.”
Shaking his head, a bitter smile played on his lips. “You’re wasting your time. I don’t need your protection. If anything, I should be calling Rogers right now to let him know you’re sniffing around.”
You knew he wasn’t baffling, the weight of the threat hung in the air. Standing up, you tried one last time. “Think about it, Clint. They’re going down, one way or another. You can either be on the right side of this, or you can drown with them.”
Anger flashed in his eyes. “Get out,” he said coldly. “And don’t come back.”
Hill sighed as she made her way over to you. “We’ll be seeing you, Clint. One way or another.”
The door slammed shut behind you. Barton’s loyalty to the Avengers was unshakeable, however, you couldn’t let that deter you. There had to be another way.
~
Tony Stark made his way to Steve's tattoo studio. The place had its usual buzz and hum of tattoo machines filling the air. As he walked in, he caught Steve’s eye as he tattooed a design onto a young woman’s ribcage.
Not looking up immediately, Steve stayed focused on the intricate details of his work. “What brings you in, Stark?”
The mechanic smirked, his tone light but it carried an underlying seriousness. “I hear you have a rat problem.”
Sighing, Steve glanced up, his eyes narrowing toward the young woman. “Don’t worry, he doesn’t mean here.” Turning his attention back to the tattoo, he finished up the last line before wiping down the area. He wrapped it up with practiced efficiency as the girl began to protest.
Leaning against the counter, Tony’s gaze shifted to the woman lying across the chair. His smirk widened as he eyed her.
“Hey, I booked a whole day! This isn’t done, yet!”
“I’ll give you a discount if you come back tomorrow,” Steve replied, his tone leaving zero room for argument. The young woman scowled, yet she didn’t push further. She along with many knew better than to argue with Steve Rogers in this mood. Gathering her things, she shot a curious glance at Tony on her way out.
Cleaning his station meticulously, his movements as deliberate as ever, Steve finally turned to Tony. The expression etched into his face was dark. “Alright, Stark, what’s this about a rat problem?”
Tony’s smirk faded slightly, and his demeanor switched again, back to serious. “Barton stopped by the garage,” he said, his voice low. “Mentioned questions being asked about you and the Avengers. Cops, to be specific.”
Steve’s frustration was evident as he muttered under his breath. “That fucking dumb little bitch.”
Tony’s expression grew more somber. “He didn’t spill anything, but we need to handle this before it gets out of hand.”
With a clenched jaw, the tension in Steve’s body was palpable. “I’ll deal with it,” he said with a tone of finality.
Tony trusted Steve’s capability, but he was still uneasy about the situation. “Just make sure it’s clean, Rogers. We don’t need any more attention than we’re already getting.”
“Hey, Stark. I’ve got this, trust me.” Steve replied, his voice low and deadly serious.
With a final nod, Tony left, the door closing behind him with a soft clock. Standing there for a moment, Steve knew he needed to act fast and decisively. You were getting too close, too quick, and he wouldn’t allow you to jeopardize everything he had built.
~
Your mind was preoccupied as you walked home from the station. A tangled web of information you and Hill had been piecing together, flooded your thoughts. Not hearing the initial roar of the motorcycle until it was almost upon you. The sound shattered the quiet night, and you barely had any time to react before the bike swerved onto the sidewalk, coming to a screeching halt in front of you.
Dismounting the motorcycle with a fluid grace that belied the menace in his eyes, Steve stalked toward you. His towering presence cast a long shadow. “I thought I made myself clear,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Standing your ground, you ignore the pounding of your heart against your chest. “You did,” you replied, your voice staying steady.
“So, what part of your dumb little doll brain didn’t get it, huh?” he sneered, bending down, his face only inches away from yours.
“You told me to stay away from your sister,” you said, meeting his gaze. “So… I stayed away from your sister.”
A mixture of anger and grudging respect flickered in his eyes. You had followed his warning, but he knew you were still digging into his affairs. “You’re a conniving little bitch, you know that? Sniffing around my business like a little rat.”
Lifting your chin defiantly, you challenged him. “Do I look like a rat to you, Rogers?” You refused to show fear as your heart hammered in your chest.
Reaching out, his rough, calloused hand brushed a strand of hair behind your ear. His touch was almost tender. Then suddenly, his fingers tightened around your jaw, pulling you up onto your toes. “No, you’re not a rat,” he whispered, his breath hot against your face. “More like a little mouse, a terrified little mouse. I’ll warn you once more, Detective– stay out of my fucking business.”
You struggled to breathe, his grip painfully tight against you. “I’m here to do my job,” you said through gritted teeth. “And, I won’t be intimidated by you.”
Letting go of your jaw with a shove, you stumbled back as his eyes darkened. “We’ll see about that,” he said coldly, turning back toward his motorcycle. Before mounting it again, he paused, looking over his shoulder slightly. “Keep pushing me, and you’ll regret it. I promise you that.”
He started the engine, and the roar of the motorcycle echoed in the night as he sped away. You stood trembling in the same spot he left you in, yet you were resolute and weren’t backing down.

I mean, forget Jimin stans for a sec. Even tkkrs and Jungkook stans think Jungkook doesn't like Jimin. They are convinced. And the fandom until the very end thought Tae-kook would enlist together and were surprised when it was Jikook enlisting together.
Everyone out there acknowledges that Tae likes Jimin, they acknowledge Suga/RM/jhope/Jin like Jimin. But Jungkook?
Never seen anyone in the fandom question if Jungkook likes Tae or not. Or if he likes the other members or not. But when it comes to Jimin, even non shippers aren't very sure about how Jungkook feels. I have tons of non shipper army moots on my second account and most of them think JK isn't close with Jimin.
If there are so many people who don't think Jungkook likes Jimin even as a friend and bandmate, then that's on Jungkook, his behaviour, his words, his actions towards Jimin.
Cause no one says Jimin doesn't like Jungkook. Jimim has always made it clear he likes all the members.
JK doesn't have to prove anything to Jimin stans. I agree. But if he can't prove to Jimin he likes him, then that's a problem. I don't blame Jimin for detaching himself and going about his path.
Yea they focus on whether or not he likes Jimin because that issue was once a big deal between Jimin and Jungkook.
Had Jimin not vocalized his concerns I don't think anyone would have had an occasion to use that against them to begin with.
He is the one who kept saying JK didn't like him and what not. And to me it's no different from Yoongi who was also saying he liked Jimin but Jimin didn't really like him back- and yet no one goes, welp Jimin doesn't like Yoongi let's go to war.
And perhaps if Jimin was the type of boy to shove Yoongi around, Crack jokes about his height it would have fueled this whole idea that Jimin didn't like Yoongi.
Jimin didn't have to "prove" He liked Yoongi. Literally all he did was be himself with yoongi to dispel that notion. because he is a much more calmer gentler graceful person by nature nobody makes a big deal about their dynamic the way they do or did with Jikook.
If you ask me, I think that whole this person doesn't like me or that person doesn't like me was just an immature attempt to get attention and to get their needs of affection met cos the only way some people feel they can get their needs met is through toxic manipulation tactics like these.
They were young and didn't know any better and that behavior is so heavily normalized in their own pop culture.
And we're going to ignore a whole conversation had between Tae and Kook in soop with Tae literally saying he wanted JK to treat him a certain way but Jk refused to when they were younger. Isn't that evidence shit was wrong between them too?
Just because they had a mature way of addressing their dynamic later on doesn't mean it didn't happen with them either back in the day. They just didn't take about it like Jimin did.
I'm sure however Jimin felt about Jungkook's attitude towards him, he could have handled it better than he did but they were of course just teenagers and hadn't developed the communication skills required to foster a healthy dynamic.
Whatever anyone thinks of Jungkook, Jimin is the only member to have openly voiced out and questioned him on his behavior towards him without mincing words. The execution may have been wrong but he did vocalize his needs to him regardless when the members only brought it up when he did something nice for others especially Jimin.
The others when they talked about this would do so indirectly or passive aggressively such as when they said he acts anti social with them, wouldn't get them birthday presents. Tae said passively that JK ignored him when they cams stopped rolling and yet no one makes a big deal out of that right?
In recent times, when they were talking about Jungkook not posting or gifting members Jimin was the only one who said he would punch him in the throat if he didn't do anything for him either. Yet it seems the others weren't too happy about that either.
And you are right, no one is hyper fixating on these moments and blowing it out of proportions except when it comes to jikook because Jikook is all that matters to most homophobic people. And perhaps because Jimin draws attention to those issues when he voices them out.
I really don't care about people's perception of anyone.
Does it matter how people are perceiving them if these people are consistently proven wrong about them over and over???
Oh you thought Tae Kook were going to serve together? Jikook went and now what??
You thought Tae Kook were the closest, turns out it's Jikook and now what??
Yall not tired of being wrong????
Must be exhausting
Hope you stab your toe

That was rich of you op to tell me I was on a high horse, ignoring asks and more when YOU'RE the one ignoring asks and not even responding to mine.
But then again, I shouldn't be surprised considering what you said recently. No need to "wish me" luck and all that bullshit.
You have been blocked on four accounts.
Four.
And rather than take that as the very obvious sign that your presence is not welcome, you went out of your way to override it, hide behind "anonymity", and still try to force your way into my space—just to send a passive-aggressive guilt trip on THIS account? Pathetic.
I have not been ignoring asks; I have a life. Something you claim to have stepped away for, and yet here you are, proving that stepping away was never your actual intention. Instead, you linger, you lurk, and you seethe about the fact that I am not entertaining your nonsense anymore.
That’s not my problem. That’s yours.
Oh, and don’t worry—I’m fully aware that my reply lacks grace. But when someone has repeatedly ignored every polite boundary, spat on every olive branch extended, and twisted every ounce of patience and goodwill into yet another opportunity to manipulate, they don’t deserve grace. And you? You burned through any that I might have had left for you a long, long time ago.
I gave you more chances than you ever deserved. I listened when you said you’d change. I believed your apologies. I entertained the idea that maybe, just maybe, things could be different.
That maybe you would finally respect me enough to mean it when you said you’d back off. But you? You kept showing me, over and over again, why I shouldn’t have believed you. Every time I let my guard down, you reminded me exactly why I put it up in the first place.
You burned those bridges yourself—not once, not twice, but so many times I stopped counting. And now you’re standing there, staring at the ashes, furious and petty that there’s no way back across. But tell me—who set the fire? Who kept lighting the match? Who kept proving, time and time again, that they do not care about the word no?
Because it sure as hell wasn’t me.
No one forced your hand but you. No one told you to override being blocked on four accounts. No one made you send messages laced with passive-aggressive bitterness. No one dragged you back into my space after you claimed to be stepping away. You did that. You made that choice.
And now you want to be mad at me for not rolling out a red carpet to welcome you back?
I don’t owe you my attention. I don’t owe you my patience. And I sure as hell don’t owe you my loyalty—not when you have done nothing to deserve it. If you cannot handle the reality that your actions have consequences, that your behavior has led you exactly to this moment, that you are not entitled to my time or energy—then that is your problem. Not mine.
I’m done. Stay mad about it.
If you cannot grasp the concept of boundaries by now, at your age, that is not on me. If you cannot handle the word no, that is not on me. If you cannot deal with the consequences of your own actions, that is not on me.
I have had issues with you since November. We're mid March. Also popping up on the Ides of March to deliver your very own "Et tu, Brute?" moment. Peak comedy. Truly.
I wished you the best because, even after everything, even after you hurt me, I still didn’t want to sink to your level. I still didn’t want to hold onto bitterness. I still didn’t want to wish you ill. But girl, you are making it so incredibly difficult not to be pissed the hell off.
I am done. I do not owe you a single ounce of my energy, and if that frustrates you? Well. Perhaps it’s time to reflect on why that is instead of throwing a tantrum in my inbox. I don’t hate you. I don’t waste energy on that.
But I am exhausted by you. And if this is truly who you are—if this is what you think “respect” and “boundaries” look like—then honestly? You were never someone I should have trusted in the first place.
[NB: I debated even responding to this, because honestly? It’s exhausting. And part of me knows that no matter what I say, it won’t change anything for her. I have accepted apologies that were just empty words. I have set boundaries that were ignored, disrespected, or outright trampled on.
I don’t owe loyalty to someone who has spent months proving they don’t respect me. I don’t owe kindness to someone who keeps forcing their way into my space just to act like a victim. And I sure as hell don’t owe silence when someone is out here acting like I’m the bad guy for not letting them treat me like shit. Sorry for the long rant but this cannot go on without a proper response.]

=======================
SUBJECT: Without Grumbling
======================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM NOT GRUMBLING
I AM NOT RUSHING
I AM ALIGN WITH GOD
I AM HOLY

READ TIME: 9 Minutes & 10 Seconds

THOUGHTS:
======================
It's hard not to grumble about things we don’t like or want to do. A lot of us hate to do something, and we express it in our body language or facial expression; we express what we don’t vocally too, but God wants us to keep silent about it; if we do something he wants us to do it from the heart and I can say this is hard to do because If I don’t want to do something and I am made to do it, I will vocalize it but since I realize that God wants us to be silent I am realizing its not the best thing to do,
* Philippians 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
* James 5:9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.
* 1 Peter 4:9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
One of the most essential teachings found in the Bible is the command to do everything without grumbling or disputing. But why is this message so crucial, and what can we do to follow it daily?
The passage in Philippians 2:14-15 states, "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky." This powerful message reminds us that grumbling and disputing only lead to negative consequences and can hinder our growth as children of God.
Many of us may find it challenging to obey this command, especially when passionate about something. We can get carried away and become overly aggressive or argumentative when defending our beliefs or opinions. However, the Bible teaches us that this behavior goes against God's will for us. He wants us to live in harmony and peace with one another, not in constant conflict and quarrels.
In fact, the Bible warns us about the enemy's tactics to create division and confusion among us. In 1 Peter 5:8, it says, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." The enemy wants us to fuss and argue with one another because he knows it will only bring chaos and destruction.
So, what can we do to avoid falling into this trap of grumbling and disputing?
First, we must pray before entering any situation that may potentially lead to conflict. As we seek God's presence and guidance, He will give us the wisdom and discernment to handle the situation in a peaceful and godly manner. Just like Moses, who told the Lord, "If you don't go with me, I don't want to go" (Exodus 33:15), we must remember to always take the Lord with us wherever we go.
When we have the Lord's presence with us, it makes a significant difference in our lives. We are reminded of His love, grace, and mercy, which helps us to approach situations with a calm and understanding heart. We are also reminded of the bigger picture and the importance of unity and love among God's children.
Moreover, the presence of God in our lives transforms us from the inside out. As we continue to seek Him and His ways, we will begin to see a change in our attitude and behavior. We will become more patient, compassionate, and kind, which is essential in avoiding grumbling and disputing. As we strive to follow this command, let us remember to pray for God's presence and let His love and grace guide our actions.
During our discussions this week, we delved into the topic of intimacy with God. We discovered that it's quite simple to develop this intimacy when we communicate with him and are open and honest. David, known for his close relationship with God, understood the importance and meaning of intimacy with him. Unfortunately, many of us struggle with intimacy in our romantic relationships because we may take our partners for granted or fail to see its significance. However, intimacy allows us to be vulnerable and open with each other, and this is crucial in our relationship with God. Communication is key to building this intimacy, and it's something we should do every day, not just occasionally. We must share our feelings with him and express our gratitude for his unconditional love for us. So, let's make an effort to communicate with God daily and strengthen our intimacy with him.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
He wants us to cast our cares on him because he cares for us; but he cares for us because he loves us with endless love, a lot of us don’t feel heard or needed because maybe we feel others don’t care but that’s something we don’t have to worry about with God because God actually cares when no one else does that’s why he says throw your concerns on me throw on me what you care about the most because I am here for you through it all that’s what intimacy is it is being open to your partner and being able to carry the load that they can not.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
As we discussed the idea of being powerful through God, it became clear that it is not easy to be powerful on our own. But when we surrender to God and allow Him to work in our lives, that power holds great significance. It is in our toughest moments that we realize we cannot do it alone. Though we may feel self-sufficient at times, God reminds us that the power we have is meant to strengthen us in the spiritual battles we face. We must be prepared for the enemy, who will come at us day and night. To overcome these challenges, we must sit in the presence of God and trust in Him to guide us through. He will never fail us or leave us on our own. The Lord wants us to pass every test and temptation, but we cannot do it by neglecting our spiritual growth. Let us trust in God and feed our spiritual selves to become stronger and more powerful through Him.
*** Today, during our discussion, we touched upon the week's overview and delved into the topic of grumbling. I personally believe that learning not to grumble takes a lot of growth and maturity. Many times, our emotions tend to dictate our lives, and we end up complaining or grumbling about things that may not even be significant. However, it is essential to remember to ask for God's help in avoiding grumbling and disputes, as it can greatly impact our attitudes and relationships. This is a topic that can be explored in another devotional, but for now, let's remember to approach everything with an open mind and an open heart, allowing God to use us during every situation.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you.
God's love for us is truly endless and never fades away. As we draw closer to Him, we begin to see and experience this love even more. He delights in our intimacy with Him, and it saddens Him when we forget how close He wants us to be. He longs for us to cling to Him and to walk in His ways. The more we walk in His ways, the closer we are to dwelling in His presence. Personally, I love being in the presence of the Lord. When His presence fills my room, I can feel Him, and all I want to do is to dwell in it. It's a shame that many of us are so used to rushing off after prayer that we don't take the time to dwell with God. But we should strive to dwell in His presence more and more. We can do this by asking God to help us keep our thoughts on Him and not let anything come between our moments with Him. It truly is a beautiful thing to be in the presence of the Lord. So, let's make it a priority to experience and cherish His presence in our lives. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
=====================
Heavenly Father, we ask for your help and guidance as we navigate our daily struggles. We know that it is easy to fall into the trap of grumbling and complaining, but we pray that you would give us the strength and mindset to persevere with a grateful heart. We can rest and relax in your love and assurance, knowing that you are always with us and will never leave us. Thank you for being our constant source of strength and peace. Amen.

The air crackled with the barely contained energy of two vastly different beings. Macaque, a shadow woven into the very fabric of the city’s underbelly, leaned against a crumbling wall, his dark purple sclera gleaming in the dim light. His messy, thigh-length hair seemed to writhe with a life of its own, a stark contrast to the otherwise pristine surface of his dark fur. He tapped a long, obsidian fingernail against his chin, his white pearly eye narrowed in amusement.
Across from him, Vivi bounced on the balls of his feet, a kaleidoscope of energy barely contained within his lithe frame. His vitiligo skin was a chaotic canvas of light and dark, his chimerism hair a riot of textures, from tight coils to sharp, frizzy waves. He hefted a heavy, custom-made gun, his brown eyes, flecked with gold, glinting with a manic glee. “So, shadow-face,” Vivi chirped, his voice a playful snarl, “you gonna finally show me what those shadow tricks can do, or are you just gonna stand there and look all broody?”
Macaque chuckled, a low, throaty sound that vibrated in the air. “Impatience, little monkey? Such unbecoming behavior.” He pushed off the wall, his movements fluid and graceful, like smoke curling from a dying ember. “Though, I suppose I can indulge your desire for pointless violence.” He manifested a shadow clone, its form a perfect mirror of himself, right down to the unsettling glint in its eyes. “Let’s see if you can handle two of me.”
Vivi barked out a laugh, sharp canines glinting. "Two of you? That just means twice the fun!" He twirled the gun in his hand, a flash of silver in the darkness, before launching himself forward, a whirlwind of chaotic energy. It was a brutal ballet of teeth, claws, and shadow. Vivi moved with a frenzied agility, his attacks a hurricane of punches and kicks, punctuated by the deafening crack of his specially designed rounds. Macaque and his clone danced with deceptive grace, their shadows flickering and shifting, deflecting blows, and launching counterattacks with sharp, precise efficiency.
Macaque reveled in the chaos. This was more like it. This was the kind of uncontrolled power he craved. He watched Vivi, a feral grin spreading across his features. Vivi fought with a raw, untamed energy, every blow a testament to his chaotic nature. No holding back, no restraint, pure aggression fueled by the pure need to fight. "This is what I like!" Macaque roared, the sound echoing through the alleyways. "No pretense, just raw power! Why can't more people fight like this? No heroes bullshit, just the will to conquer!" He lashed out with a shadow tendril, snaring Vivi's leg.
Vivi stumbled, his eyes widening with a spark of genuine delight. "I knew you had it in you, shadow-face!" He ripped his leg free, retaliating with a kick that sent Macaque reeling. "Now," Vivi added, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Let's see if you can handle a little fire.” He spun, and with a guttural roar, summoned a burst of fire hot enough to scorch concrete with a wave of his hands.
The scent of burnt stone filled the air as the shadows recoiled from the fiery assault. Macaque’s singular eye narrowed, a flicker of annoyance crossing his features. “Such theatrics, Vivi,” he drawled, though his voice held a hint of grudging respect. “Must you always make such a spectacle?”
Vivi shrugged, his grin widening. "Where's the fun if I don't?" He lunged again, a blur of motion as he launched into a flurry of physical attacks, throwing in some bites and scratches for good measure. “Besides,” he panted, dodging a shadow blade. “You’re the one who likes the drama so much! Don't act like you don't revel in it!”
Macaque did. He loved the way the shadows danced and twisted with the ferocity of their battle. He reveled in the feeling of his own power, the subtle hum of demon energy coursing beneath his skin. He even enjoyed Vivi’s chaotic energy, a stark contrast to the stiff, sanctimonious heroes he so despised. They were hypocrites, clinging to the idea of morality while wielding their power with selfish intent. At least Vivi wasn’t pretending to be anything he wasn’t.
“You’re a wild thing, Vivi,” Macaque admitted, a hint of something akin to amusement in his voice. “Maybe it’s your lack of restraint that makes you interesting.”
Vivi laughed, a sharp, barking sound that echoed in the narrow alley. He flipped backwards, landing lightly on his feet. “I’d say it’s probably for the best that we’re not on opposing teams, shadow-face. Not sure even you could handle my full chaotic potential.” He winked, the gold flecks in his eyes catching the dim light. “But hey, you know what they say, ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.’ Or in our case, maybe ‘keep your chaotic friends slightly less close cause their unpredictable as hell’?” He winked. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep you on your toes, bud. Maybe one day, I’ll even give you a hug.” A grin spread across his face, sharper than any blade. “I'll get you eventually, shadow-face, just you wait.”
Macaque's lip curled into a smirk. A hug? Please. He would rather get stabbed in the other eye by a certain golden staff. He would certainly never admit to feeling a strange warmth in his chest. He liked that Vivi held no pretense around him. Sure, the kid was chaotic as hell and would sell him out in a heartbeat if it served his own chaos good. But unlike those shining heroes, Macaque knew where he stood with Vivi. He'd rather have a "friend" like this one, than a "hero" any day.
"And I'll be waiting for that pleasure, Vivi. I do love a challenge.” Macaque vanished in a swirl of shadows, leaving Vivi alone in the alley, the scent of burnt stone and demon musk thick in the air.
Vivi chuckled, his smile widening. He knew their dance of chaos would continue. After all, in this city of hidden gods and forgotten demons, what was life if not a little bit dramatic? And maybe, just maybe, Macaque wasn't quite as distant as he made himself out to be. But that was something they both would deny, at least for now.

FFxivWrite2024 Prompt #26
Title: Zipping around the Hinterlands
Wordcount: 1365
Spoilers Through: Heavensward, also references a small detail you learn post-EW about Y'shtola's childhood
Relationships & Characters: Lyse/Y’shtola, Master Matoya
Summary: Before the colony is abandoned, a very young Lyse and Y’shtola get up to trouble in Sharlayan.
(Exactly how old are they in this? Well that depends how old you think Y’shtola is in the present. :P Lyse is def between 6-11 and Y’shtola is a few years older to make the timeline work though! So there's not romance in this so much as friendship/crush-shaped feels. :3)
.
Lyse really, truly hadn’t meant to cause any trouble. When Yda had dropped her off with Master Matoya so she could listen in to a meeting about the upcoming exodus, Lyse had promised to be on her best behavior.
But Master Matoya’s study was so full of pretty liquids and complicated instruments that it was hard not to want to touch them. Plus, the only other thing to do there was read, and Lyse had tried reading but gotten bored and frustrated after a few chapters of arcane treatises and their even more arcane vocabulary.
Y’shtola hadn’t, though. Lyse’s best friend had shushed her and snuck a huge, leather-bound tome off of Master Matoya’s desk and then proceeded to happily while away the time with her nose in it.
So Lyse had gotten curious what could be so interesting about this book, and she’d happened to have picked up one of the glowing blue vials from a shelf. She hadn’t meant at all to spill the reagent on the pages, but Y’shtola had startled when Lyse had tried to look over her shoulder, and…
Well, that was why they decided to make a run for it. But no matter where they went, Master Matoya’s angry shouts echoed not far behind them.
“Can’t you move any faster?” Y’shtola glanced back as they ran through the river shallows. “Just a little further, and I know a place to hide.”
“Y’shtola… w-wait!” Lyse panted as she splashed a few yalms behind. “To your right!”
“Huh?” The small Miqo’te turned, only to find herself face-to-face with an aggressive okeanis. She let out an undignified squeak of surprise, then slowly backed up while brandishing her wand. “I’ll handle it!”
“B-But it’s so big…” Lyse flinched as the monster slapped its tail at them, throwing up a spray of mud. It hadn’t actually hit her, but she dove behind Y’shtola’s back, trembling.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hold back!” The Miqo’te’s brow then furrowed in concentration as she waved the slim twig of birch through the air and whispered an incantation.
“From ocean rise and cloudbank form,
From mountain spring and rainfall storm,
From river flow and life be born...
Water, water, froth and foam!”
Lyse gasped in awe as the nixie bubbled to life, then with a graceful twirl, sent a wave of water at the monster so strong it tumbled away downstream.
“Wow…!” Lyse jumped and clapped with joy. “You did it!” Y’shtola was the coolest person Lyse knew. True, Moenbryda was also the coolest, but Y’shtola was the coolest who could summon a familiar. That meant she was probably the coolest person in the whole world, as far as Lyse was concerned.
“Hmph. It wasn’t anything special. Just a beginner-level summons.” Y’shtola calmly tossed her head. But her ears flicked and she was blushing, clearly proud her efforts had gotten such a reaction from the other girl.
“I could never do that…” Lyse said, eyes still full of wonder. Wonder that quickly evaporated back into panic as Master Matoya’s yelling sounded even closer.
“Shtola, you get your tail back here! Lyse, that goes for you too!”
“Oh no, she’s already here!” Lyse wildly looked around, but the cave system they’d run into didn’t have an exit. If they tried to hide here, they’d definitely be found!
“I’ve got another idea!” Y’shtola clenched her small fists and glared determinedly at the rock walls barring their path. “If we teleport to the Sharlayan aetheryte, we can lose her in the crowds. Ready?”
“But I can’t…” Teleportation required intense focus, so Yda had forced Lyse to promise to wait until she was older. She wasn’t allowed to try until she could memorize the whole pamphlet Yda had given her on the subject and recite it backwards and forwards.
“Go!” Lyse reached out to grab her friend’s hand, but Y’shtola’s form flickered and disappeared.
“Y’shtola?” Lyse whimpered, her panic continuing to mount. “Y’shtola, I can’t do it! Don’t leave me here!”
But Y’shtola, having vanished, did not answer. She was probably already in Sharlayan by now.
Unless… what if she hadn’t made it? What if she’d gotten lost in the Lifestream like those awful stories Yda used to scare Lyse with? No wonder she wasn’t coming back to help Lyse.
The small Highlander’s heart began to beat too-fast in her chest. She wasn’t supposed to be alone. If she was alone, the Garleans would come to grab her. They’d almost succeeded when she’d gotten separated from her sister near the Wall crossing, and Lyse still had nightmares about it.
What if Y’shtola was now dead and it was all Lyse’s fault? She’d never see her friend again, just like her dad! Just like everyone else in Ala Mhigo!
The thought was too much. Lyse suddenly couldn’t breathe.
Then a gnarled old hand grabbed her out of nowhere. Lyse screamed, loud, and tried to dodge the grab like Yda had taught her. Only, she tripped and got a mouthful of murky water for her trouble.
“Oh, come now. You ruin my book, you make me run all the way out to the middle of nowhere, and now you’re the one crying about it?”
Master Matoya had caught her just like the Garleans.
“Please don’t hurt me! Please, please, please!”
But the ancient Archon didn’t hit her like a soldier might. She didn’t even shout at her. Instead, she muttered some words and banged her staff on the riverbed, causing an enormous bubble to rise up and keep the water at bay. Then, when the rock beneath them was dry, she sat down next to Lyse and roughly shoved a handkerchief at her face.
Lyse hiccuped and stared, mesmerized by the clean white scrap of fabric.
“Well, don’t just stand there like a lump, girl! Dry your eyes!” Master Matoya shook the handkerchief.
Lyse swallowed and tentatively reached out for the cloth. Once it was in her hands, she forcefully scrubbed the handkerchief over her face.
“That’s better. Now, where’s my Shtola? What’s all this fuss about, hm?”
Lyse took a deep breath. Then another, now that she was able to again. “Y’shtola is gone and I don’t know where she went and I’m really really sorry about the book please don’t be mad I’ll give you all my nameday money to replace it and I know it was important but I just want Y’shtola back.”
“Gracious. One thing at a time, please, one thing at a time!” Master Matoya shook her head.
Lyse gulped. “Y’shtola’s gone,” she repeated.
“Yes, I’m quite aware of that. Tried her hand at teleportation magicks, did she?”
Lyse nodded solemnly. “She said she was going to Sharlayan but what if she didn’t make it?”
Master Matoya shook her head again and let out a raspy guffaw. “Make it? Of course my Shtola made it. She’s been zipping about the aethernet willy-nilly since she was younger than you! Not that she’s allowed to, mind you.”
“R-really?” Lyse sniffled, thought the better of it, then blew her nose loudly into the handkerchief. “Are you going to yell at me?” she asked in a small voice.
“Oh, you’re both overdue for a mighty scolding, but I’ve better things to do with my breath.” Master Matoya clucked her tongue. “Like teaching you to dry books properly. And don’t tell me you need it because you don’t like reading! Every girl should have the skill.”
The kindly Archon stood, brushed off her robes, and stuck her hand out to the side. “Now, come along. We’ve quite a walk back to Sharlayan proper.”
Lyse took the hand and clung to it fervently as she followed Master Matoya out of the damp cave.
In the end, it was Yda who met them halfway back while carrying a very disgruntled Y’shtola under her arm. “Had a lost kitten appear outside the assembly hall.” She winked as Y’shtola hissed and wriggled as she tried to escape her helpless position. “Figured I’d return it before it got into any more trouble.”
But whatever Y’shtola grumbled in response was lost in Lyse’s overjoyed shriek as she barreled forward to bury her best friend in an iron-tight hug.
“Never, ever scare me like that again!”

The video game Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical helped me figure out my character
First, I'll tell you what it is and what it is eaten with. Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is an urban fantasy story about how to find your place, be responsible for your destiny and find answers.
In the modern fantasy world, Grace, who dropped out of college, is endowed with the power of a Muse. This power will be useful for her to find out the truth about her predecessor's death before time runs out. You'll decide who Grace will team up with, who she'll trust, and who can betray her in this beautifully hand-illustrated role-playing musical.
It's an exciting story about hope, self-discovery, and choosing your own path that you choose to change the ending.
Speaking of paths. The main feature of the game, as you might guess, is the songs. The power of the Muse makes it possible to force others to express themselves in songs, to pull out what is hidden inside, "turning" the soul inside out.
Also, all songs have at least three variations. It depends on the chosen character and on the choice of cues in the songs themselves, changing the verses, instrumental and even genres.
Let's focus on characters and lines. There are only three of them. They influence the heroine's behavior in conversations and key decisions. And in the songs, when choosing, they give all three options for the approach from each character, giving the player to act and build the song as he sees fit. The game divides characters into three large categories:
Charming Grace tries to do the right thing, and for this everyone loves her even more. It is aimed at empathy, support, a desire to look into the origins of the reason why this happened and what led to it;
Kickass Grace is not afraid to become reckless and aggressive when circumstances require it. She is very good at putting pressure on people, forcing them to do something and perfectly parries insults in her direction;
Clever Grace prefers to think and find a way out of the situation. She is more cunning, smarter and wittier than others. She is able to think ahead, analyze the information received and anticipate the answers of other characters.
After a few walkthroughs, using Grace's example, I realized that in any situation you can do different things and get a different result depending on the approach. Previously, I did not know how to handle the "facets" of my character, since I never set a goal for dialogues and did not see their outcome, and therefore I was quite passive. The character categories that the game provides can be used in real life. Personally, this makes it very easy for me to communicate, because sometimes a situation requires a certain approach, and sometimes there is a choice. It would be difficult to get confused in three options, unlike thinking about all of them. It turns out that the character selection screen pops up every time I think about a response :)
Stray Gods also encouraged me to create. I began to study song variations, their structure and the interdependence of choices, download my favorite songs and their variations, and try to translate them into Russian. By the way, thanks to the latter, I have a lot of new rhymes in my head, which is why I can sometimes give out a rhyme in ordinary speech, as if I have a piece of the Muse in me. I also had a desire to learn how to sing, I started blogging on Tumblr to join the community more, I started drawing myself in the visual style of the game... This game has become more than a game for me. It lives in me, and I can't help but be happy about it.)

'Towards the end of All of Us Strangers – the exquisite new film from writer-director Andrew Haigh, based upon a novel by Taichi Yamada – Adam (played by the beautiful, elegant Andrew Scott) makes a distressing and heartbreaking discovery while exploring an unfamiliar room in his near-vacant apartment building.
As Adam enters this room, Haigh and cinematographer Jamie M. Ramsay linger over his shocked expression. The camera places him at right, with negative space hovering between his gaze and that terrible surprise, to the left, which is physically out of frame.
For a time, watching this shot, which lasts for quite a while, I cowered in my seat. I did not want to see whatever it was that Adam was looking at. I sensed what it was, and did not need to see it. I directed my eyes toward the corner of the auditorium, with the theater screen in my peripheral, to avoid direct engagement with the terrible thing once Mr. Haigh finally cut to it.
Yet he never did cut to it. The shot continued, focused entirely on Adam, until he stepped closer towards the terrible thing. At that point, just enough of the thing appeared in frame to confirm my suspicions. But neither Haigh nor Ramsay subjected me or anyone else in the audience to the gratuity, to the shock of that thing which Adam had uncovered. They never forced it on us.
I can’t begin to express my admiration for Mr. Haigh’s choice. It is a rare thing for a filmmaker to refrain from showing something carnal or violent onscreen – to not, in fact, seek out an opportunity to do so. Usually, whenever someone is attacked or killed or found dead in movies, it is an elaborate tableau of guts and blood.
Not so here. Like everything else in All of Us Strangers, Andrew Haigh handles the difficult or crushing moments with grace. He honors his characters’ dignity, and allows them room to remain embodied. Without dismemberment, or voyeuristic exploitation.
I’m tempted to say that this relationship to visual material represents a distinctly gay point of view. Mr. Haigh is gay, as is Adam, as is the man who plays him; this is in and of itself an unusual configuration for a Hollywood movie: to have maker, character, and performer alike all identify as gay. It means that many of the common reference points cherished by male directors – fetishized women, aggressive behavior, combative worldviews – fall by the wayside.
In their place? A regard for male beauty. Slow, contemplative action. Healing, not conquest, as the primary objective.
It may be an oversimplification to say so, but I regard All of Us Strangers as the best in what queer commercial filmmaking might offer: delicacy, honesty, and human consideration. I agree with everything that Andrew Haigh says and does in this movie.
And while we’re extolling exemplars in queer artistry, let’s delegate some verbiage to Mr. Andrew Scott. It may simply be that I identify with his character – a gay man who spends most of his time alone, writing screenplays and mulling over his past – but I consider this the gentlest, most alluring of performances. He emits the modest gentility of James Mason; he blinks and breathes with gentlemanly yet frank clarity. He is gorgeous.
And he is flanked by Paul Mescal, as his lover, matched by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, as his parents. All reached for, all tentatively available to him. All resplendent performers, all present for their roles. Their individual beauty coalesces in a collective, intimate grandeur. I am in love with them all, and I am in love with the process of healing Adam undertakes as he encounters them.
All of Us Strangers is basically a chamber drama, unfolding in one man’s imagination. Its disciplined humility expands with the skyline outside Adam’s window, so that what functions as a limited portrait of grief becomes epic. It is harrowing and reassuring all at once.
A blessing, this. I respect it. I am grateful it exists.'

Taylor Swift is once again facing public controversy—this time reignited by Kanye West’s disturbing and sexually explicit remarks. Just as the pop icon seemed to be enjoying a calmer chapter in her life, touring globally and maintaining a relatively quiet relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, she has been dragged back into the eye of a social media storm. In a recent online tirade, Kanye West made lewd comments about Swift, reigniting a feud that many had hoped was long behind them. While Swift has remained silent amid the recent outburst, the implications of West’s actions are anything but minor. His public statements, which include fantasies of having sex with Taylor Swift, have prompted an outcry from fans and critics alike. More than just an offhand comment, West’s words are part of a much larger history—one that’s tangled in misogyny, manipulation, and a decade of back-and-forth drama between two of the world’s biggest celebrities. The Infamous Beginning: “Yo, Taylor…” The Taylor Swift-Kanye West saga began on a now-iconic night in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards. As 19-year-old Swift accepted the award for Best Female Video, West interrupted her speech, grabbing the mic to declare, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” The moment shocked viewers worldwide and became a symbol of celebrity disrespect. Though West later apologized, the damage was done, and a bitter rift was born. At the time, Swift handled the situation with grace, refusing to retaliate and continuing to build her career. However, this would not be the last time the names Taylor Swift and Kanye West would make headlines together. “Famous” and the Fallout In 2016, the feud escalated with the release of West’s controversial track Famous. The lyrics—“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b** famous”—shocked fans and reignited public outrage. West claimed that Swift had approved the lyrics, but she quickly denied this. The situation worsened when Kim Kardashian, then West’s wife, released snippets of a phone call that appeared to show Swift giving the green light to the song. Swift countered that she was never made aware of the specific “I made that b** famous” line. She addressed the controversy in her 2017 Reputation album and again in interviews, expressing that she felt “gaslit” by the entire ordeal. Despite the drama, Swift largely focused on her music, while the Kanye-Taylor Swift feud became part of pop culture history, revisited every few years by fans and media alike. The Recent Revival: Kanye’s Explicit Posts Fast forward to 2025, and the Taylor Swift-Kanye West saga is back in the spotlight. In early April, West took to Instagram with a sexually explicit post where he claimed to still fantasize about Swift. The post was deleted shortly after it went live, but not before screenshots began circulating online. Many saw this as yet another attempt to demean Swift and drag her into a narrative publicly she’s repeatedly tried to leave behind. Unlike past incidents, Swift hasn’t commented or posted a response. However, her legal team is reportedly reviewing the situation, with some insiders suggesting potential legal action. Because West’s comments were aggressive and suggestive, many believe Swift has grounds for defamation or harassment claims. The public’s response has been swift (no pun intended). Social media platforms have been flooded with support for the singer, and advocacy groups have called out West’s behavior as toxic and misogynistic. Once again, the Kanye-Taylor Swift saga serves as a mirror reflecting broader societal issues—how women are treated in the public eye and what consequences exist for men who refuse to respect boundaries. A Pattern, Not a Coincidence Photo: @kanye___west__only/@taylorswiftfit/Instagram What’s striking about the Taylor Swift-Kanye West feud is its cyclical nature. Every time Swift achieves a major milestone—whether it’s an album release, a major award, or simply enjoying personal peace—West seems to re-emerge with controversial statements that pull attention back to himself. It’s a troubling pattern that has played out in various forms, from award show interruptions to explicit lyrics and now to invasive social media posts. Moreover, it reflects a broader issue in celebrity culture: the entitlement some male figures feel toward women’s narratives, bodies, and public personas. Swift has worked tirelessly to shape her image and use her platform for good, yet West’s behavior continues to undermine her efforts by trying to center himself in her story. Where Do We Go From Here? If Swift chooses to take legal action, it could set a precedent for how public harassment, especially when it comes from one celebrity to another, is addressed. The Taylor Swift-Kanye West controversy has long been a tabloid staple, but it’s also emblematic of real-world issues many women face. It’s not just about two famous people feuding—it’s about autonomy, consent, and respect. Swift’s silence, as always, is deliberate. She’s repeatedly demonstrated that she prefers to respond with her art, resilience, and choice not to engage with toxicity. Whether it’s through new music or legal measures, fans are confident she’ll make her voice heard when the time is right. Until then, the public watches as the Kanye Taylor Swift feud enters another chapter—one shaped not just by fame, but by the battle for personal dignity in a culture that often forgets celebrities are human too.
