Back to Spicy Red Snapper Fish cooked in our very own blend of chilli and other spices mix. Braised Pork Belly is left over from last night to which mum added hard-boiled eggs and bean curds. Drizzle some of the braising gravy to the rice and I am ready to tuck in.

My signature dish is deviled eggs. They’re always a hit at family parties. One problem: I suck at peeling the shell off the eggs. Every once in a while, I’ll get lucky with a batch that are easy to do. Usually, I either need my mom’s help or it takes really long. Any tips?
After hard-boiling and letting it cool down;
Crack the shell a little on the counter, then fling it into a lidded jar with about an inch of water.
Shake vigorously.
Now the peel will slide right off =)

Sándwich de Empanada Paraguaya
"One of these empanadas is more than a snack. Between the crisp, rich, fatty crust and the pungent, earthy, beefy filling, one of these hot pastry pockets is a satisfying and complete meal, especially with a bit of hot sauce." Sándwich de Empanada Paraguaya
Paraguay–that is, the country, the Republic of Paraguay–has 2 official languages. One is Spanish, as you might expect, given its central location in largely Spanish-speaking South America, bordering Portuguese-speaking Brazil to the northeast, yes, but also Bolivia to the northwest and Argentina to the south. The Spanish Conquistadors, somewhere between their destruction of the Aztec (1519-1521)…

The Pizza Knight Saves The Princess is a fantasy-comedy choose-your-own-adventure-style visual novel being developed by Dragon's Den Studios. Set on the planet Comestibla, where everything & everyone is made of food, we play as the Pizza Knight as he tries to save his beloved Water Ice Princess from the castle of the evil Chocolate Count. You can download the demo for free HERE: https://dragons-den-studios.itch.io/the-pizza-knight-saves-the-princess
Over the course of this month I'll be posting some of the game's art to this blog!
This image depicts the Pizza Knight getting flown back home by the Rotisserie Dragon after freeing him. Horse D'Ouevres is hot on the trail of his master. To explain how dragons can fly with disproportionately small wings, I decided that dragon wing membranes generate magic to provide extra lift. You can also see some of the half-food scenery: a ketchup river, gumdrop flowers, a living gummy bear, ribeye salmon, a dragonfruitfly, cotton candy clouds, and a sunny-side-up sun.

My male snake was chewing on his shed and gave birth to a hard boiled egg that was already peeled and ate it because he missed his last feeding because he was shedding.

I led our family seder last night. Didn’t do any Passover stuff last year, because I felt like it would be too much for me. (The cancer probably affected me.) Felt a little better about this year. It was just my parent and I. I didn’t roast the egg this time. We actually had red horseradish. The orange represents LGBTQ+ Jews and those that are marginalized. Appetizers: matzo, hard-boiled egg, and gefilte fish. Then, matzo ball soup. Used a jar this time. It was pretty good. Main: roasted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts. Only could eat half the chicken, half the sprouts, and all of the potatoes. I’ll have the leftovers tonight. For dessert I had fruit jelly slices. Couldn’t stomach more.

Breakfast Buffet. Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Fayetteville, Arkansas. 3.7.2024.
NOTE TO SELF: The Courtyard down the street was booked, so I stayed here for a change. I should be eating this breakfast instead of going to Starbucks. This place even had dried cherries for the oatmeal. Now if I could just get them to make me an Ice Shaken Espresso with no classic syrup...
Currently ranked last of five March meals.
