It literally translates as "magic place". Except it's not like the other literally-translates-as where it's so poetic and culturally significant it can't really be translated.

I will never, ever forgive JK Rowling for naming one of her fan favorite characters after a star. Because "Sirius" is a fucking awesome name and I would love to name one of my own characters that if not for the fact that I would probably get asked a MILLION times if I named him after that character.

I would never be able to just mention my OC without people immediately thinking of Sirius Black. Even those who know that I want nothing to do with Harry Potter or anything related would not be able to hear me talk about my characters and not think of the fucking terf.

You know even just a month before Legacy I still liked Harry Potter. Hated JKR of course, but liked the franchise. But like, since then my like has drained to the point where the only two things I find of value in the series at this point are Newt Scamander and Luna Lovegood, which of course are the two characters that mean something to me personally.
